Artemis was unsure how she did it, and yet she did. The Captain had most definitely made it easier for her, since he did not show any of his more high level spells. Artemis, despite being one of the stronger mages within the Green Mantis, would most likely have had trouble trying to counter any of the Captain’s so-called Archmage spells. In truth, she had been preparing for the worst, though was ready to keep fighting if needed. But, the fight seemed to turn out for the better, and she had been able to land a hit on the man. She could still remember it all, from the Kraken golem, to her transformation spell, and finally using one of the techniques she had been able to train for herself: Cold Blooded. The combination had worked well, and with her superior speed, she had been able to catch the man off-guard, hitting him straight through the Mana Skin and even drawing blood. [break][break]
There was a point when Artemis had been unsure. A point when her strategies seemed to be falling apart. Yet, her spell repertoire, and the way she had used her golems had been key to her success. Of course, at this point, the secret is out in terms of how she fought. Artemis was sure that the Captain was already planning on how to counter her. The crazed man was known to be a very crafty individual, and finding weaknesses was one of his more interesting hobbies, at least, it was rumoured to be. But, at the same time, Artemis finally was not able to see how her Captain fought. When the time came for her to challenge the man for Captaincy, she would be ready.[break][break]
For now, she would enjoy the small peace that the Green Mantis offered. Especially since a celebration of sorts was happening. To Artemis, it seemed more like the members looking for a reason to drink and party to their heart’s content.[break][break] “Two cheesecakes!” Artemis would nod towards the chef of the place, who was more than glad to cut Artemis’ prized dessert for her. “A celebration deserves an extra slice, don’t you think?” She gave the man a small smile, uncharacteristic of her, but something she had been working on. Emotions were hard for her still to show-off to the world, but she was trying, for the sake of Lydia and their relationship.[break][break]
She would take the plate gently, before turning around and watching the members make fools of themselves. Some were drinking, some were sleeping, some were dancing in weird motions, while others seemed content with loitering around with their friends and teammates. It was not often that the Green Mantis had something to celebrate about. In fact, it had been awhile since the Green Mantis celebrated anything. Artemis supposed this was a good thing. It lifted morale.[break][break]
Artemis would grace the room with another small smile, before turning her attention towards her usual table. While most of everyone would usually keep to themselves within the squad base, it seems that her promotion and subsequent celebration of it had loosened some of the social circles. More people were mingling about, and even more were getting to know their fellow Mantises. It brought a smile to Artemis face, before she finally dug into her first slice of cheesecake.
[break][break]
Now, the question remains, when will her personal guest arrive?
An old fashioned Green Mantis celebration! This would be Fuu's first time participating in one of these, but she was handling this like it was nothing new. Even before becoming a Magic Knight, Fuu had a wild side to her which of course really showed during parties....that she usually crashed.
"Wooooo!!" Fuu yelled out with her arms in the air. She was one of the people located in the center of the area dancing wildly until she decided to lift up one of the wooden chairs nearby and then breaking it over one of the nearby knights which knocked him to the ground. Some of the others who witnessed this either laughed it up or watched with a bit of concern. Even the guy hit by the chair was still having a good time, laughing it off as he slowly sat up while rubbing his head. "Oi, that runt is something els-" the guy on the ground was just about to give the rowdy Wilhelm a compliment until he felt up the side of his pants, noticing that something was missing. "That little shit stole my wallet!!!" the guy yelled out as he looked around for her within the crowd. Unfortunately for him, Fuu had already slipped away. Again, some of the others laughed. Being a squad of mostly former criminals, nobody was really surprised when stuff like this happened.
Fuu managed to get out of the crowd, walking towards one of the area where the food and beverages were being handed out. She tossed the stolen wallet up in the air, and caught it as it descended, repeating this action with a bit of whistling until she got to her destination. The earth mage then placed the full wallet onto the counter before yelling, "Meat and booze!" The person behind the counter raised an eyebrow. "Uh, you know this is all free right?" he commented as he handed the teen a turkey leg on a plate, and a bottle of some cheap booze which was questionable given her age...but these guys weren't exactly saints. "Eh...keep the change." Fuu shrugged before walking off with her stuff, leaving the wallet there which the guy took without question. Unfortunately, the wallet's original owner witnessed this and immediately marched his way to the other guy, no doubt not going to end well.
The rowdy noble made her way to the wall where others were loitering, taking a big bite out of her turkey leg while dropping the plate in the process, no longer needing that. As she leaned up on the wall, Fuu managed to open up the bottle and took one gulp before immediately spitting it out, a pretty obvious sign that she is not use to drinking alcoholic beverages. "Gaahh, it burns!"
The teen was having the time of her life...but still didn't have a clue why this was happening in the first place, unaware of Artemis' recent promotion.
[attr="class","florencetext"] It was a nice and relaxing day for the vice captain of the crimson lions. It was one of the rare days of for Lydia they didn't happen a lot but when they did she always enjoyed them. It had taken her awhile to catch back up on all the paperwork she was behind on however she managed it help she wasn't getting sent on as many missions or dungeons. The pink haired mage of course still did her daily training for the day it was something she never skipped even if she had the day off. The glass mage was in her office reading a book while enjoying a cup of warm tea when a lower ranking magic knight delivered a letter to her. A smile would come across Lydia's face as she read who the letter was from and what it was about. It seemed her lover Artemis had managed to become the vice captain of green mantis and the squad was having a party of some sorts that she was invited to join. She would have left right then and there but it was a big moment so she felt the need to get the water mage some sort of gift. [break] Lydia could have easily got the other women flowers but she felt that was to basic and decided to get a necklace instead which some might view as just a common. The glass mage would leave the base heading to a place in the capital the made custom jewelry. Since she didn't have a appointment in advanced she had to pay extra gold and wait a few hours before the necklace was done but she didn't mind. After paying for the jewelry she would make her way back to the crimson lion base garbing the letter before getting a spatial mage to open a portal to the green mantis base. She didn't have much trouble getting inside once she showed the guards the letter and they even showed her to the place the party was taking place. It was actually Lydia's first time at the base not because she felt they were beneath her but it wasn't common for magic knights to visit other bases. It didn't take long to spot the water mage who was sitting alone at a table. She would take the seat next to Artemis giving the women a bright smile. [break][break] Well if it isn't the new vice captain of the green mantis. I'm proud of you and I knew you could do it. In fact I got you a gift. Lydia would then reach into her pocket pulling out the necklace before handing it to the white and blonde haired mage. The crimson lion mage would then lean forward whispering to her lover. I have another surprise but that will have to wait till after the party.

Valo was taking a much needed day off, he's been taking job after job after job. Even on his other off days he found himself wrapped up in helping someone get their cart to safety protecting them from bandit attacks. But Valo didn't mind that day that much, he got to meet a new face one that he kind of admired and perhaps he could see her again. Valo shook his head though instead focusing on his daily meditation. He had been neglecting his meditation recently but made sure to make time for it today since he finally wasn't going to be so busy. A lot was on Valo's mind that he needed to clear up, he felt it was nearly time for him to exceed onto new levels. Both his status and rank as a magic knight and his overall abilities. His total number of stars was now more than enough to be considered for a intermediate magic knight, but before he made that step he wanted to be sure he could live up to that status with his abilities as well.
But speaking of earning higher ranks he knew Artemis had just passed her exam to become the official vice captain of Green Mantis. A position that Valo felt she more than deserved, he already saw her as the vice captain when they first met. So to him nothing was really changing other than her actually having the title. He knew of a celebration happening for Artemis and he had already planned on joining, plus this was finally the time to meet other Green mantis members. It was quite baffling since Valo had now been here for a month, but he knew very little members of his own squad. He spend very little time here usually always on the go, so he never took the time to get to really meet anyone of note. Valo stopped his meditation session and headed down to join the celebration.
When he got there it was like a big party, people and squamates drinking and dancing. Some starting fights with people, he noticed one squad mate pit pocket someone's wallet and use it to buy herself some food and drink. Valo chuckled out loud to himself, as he though the whole act was hilarious. Then seeing her struggle to drink, only made him laugh some more.
He noticed Artemis enjoying a piece of cheese cake, and noticed another lady approach her with some kind of gift. The interaction Valo found to be really interesting. He nearly never saw how Artemis acted outside of a mission. And everytime they went on one, she was very serious and had a no nonsense personality. It was something that Valo respected in fact. But seeing Artemis interact with someone who just might be more than a friend, Valo almost couldn't believe it.
But Valo decided to mind his business for now, he walked over to the young girl who was tearing down a turkey leg. But as soon as he got there she took one sip of the drink and spit it out, all over Valo's boots. "Hey! Are you even old enough to be drinking that stuff!?!" Valo shouted at the girl.

Socials were always a foreign concept to Alexander. He’d hear about these things from a merchant friend or two and they seemed to a dolled up version of a party but with more food and the people far and wide see themselves as elevating the status of set party. It was perhaps the lasting thing he wanted to go to due to his status in society and his general demeanor towards it. But give or take some of the people he can assume are going to be there, he took the hook and gave it a shot as he wore his better clothes that he ‘borrowed’ from a friend of his for such an occasion. Damn well didn't expect to get invited as easily but that could be a perk of getting accepted by the magic knights.
Speaking of that, he kept his end of the bargain from the moment invitations to join were sent. About a dozen of them caught his eye but he had to choose as he did sorta make a deal with the now Vice Captain of the squad he was in. But it was a surprise nonetheless as now he made the good choice to accept her request.
The venue was something to behold as the crowd was much more than he thought. About a dozen magic knights and nobles out and about as sounds of merriment filled the air. Despite his earlier assumptions, it had all the makings of a regular party as everyone was talking and so on. It also came with a few stray drunkards out looking for some trouble and he tried his best to ignore them but a few wanted to test their luck. ‘EH DONT YOU KNOW WHO I AM’ and other lines a drunkard would say as he would slowly put his hand on his chest and apply a bit of force. A few moments rolled by until he was looked at on the ground as he was dry heaving as Alex walked away with a wallet in hand.
As he got out of the crowd, he found himself at the counter as he found a platter of food laid out before him and the meat and drink were above the standard quality he was used to. A simple glance to the bartender and a nod was all he needed as he calmly got a plate and plated what he wanted. Manners were drilled into him by one of his merchant friends and it was coming in hand as he aimed for the rather exotic dishes they had on the table. Succulent meats, juicy fruits, savory cheeses, bread that crunched and looked as if it was made of gold, drinks that glowed a bit when poured. It the entire show and he helped himself as he took a bite of out the meat and the flavors spread through his mouth as he relished the taste as he made his way towards a particular wall where many others were loitering
He wanted to say his greetings to Artemis but she seems to be a bit preoccupied at the moment so it was best to enjoy the food and energy while he waited. As he calmed down and began to eat, he saw a girl not much older than him and a man who seemed to be brimming with personality as he could hear them from his spot. He helped him cool and enjoyed his meal and drink quietly until the girl spat out her drink and onto the boots of the man.
It wasn't a good time to start judging certain p[eoples manners but an audible chuckle did leave him as he heard the commotion. But he contained himself before he went into a fit of laughter as he ate his food in his standard pace. Making small talk with a few who wondered where I got the food from and so on. So far, he was enjoying his time here barring the obvious gaps in status.
"Lets see what sort of fun I will get into today...but first food to fill the empty stomach", he thought as he began to mop up the sauce and meat juices with some bread.
Artemis would grace Lydia with a smile as she saw her walking into the area. She had hoped that her partner would arrive sooner or later, and was fairly sure that she would not have a problem with getting access to the base. Artemis herself had gone out of her way to tell the guards posted by the squad’s main entrance to expect the Vice Captain of the Crimson Lions, and they had not questioned her about it. How could they? They had seen Artemis go toe to toe with their renowned Captain, something that no mere Magic Knight can achieve. [break][break]
When Lydia sat next to her, Artemis made the conscious effort to stop eating her cheesecake. Her beloved snack laid forgotten as she listened to Lydia’s small greeting, before reaching out and giving her an item. It was a necklace, simple yet elegant. Artemis would smile and place a chaste kiss on the woman’s lips.[break][break]
“Thank you, it’s appreciated. But you being here is a gift enough.” She was new to this, and so she just spoke her mind. Artemis was unsure if this was how to go about it, though she knew that being genuine was very important. “And I suppose I’ll be looking forward to it then.” Unsure of what the woman meant, though Artemis had ideas. She had, after all, read books and even magazines about relationships, and the way Lydia phrased her last sentence meant only a few things, at least according to what she had read so far.[break][break]
“Though, this celebration is not only about me. The Green Mantis had recently been quite successful in recruiting some Magic Knights from the Magic Knights Exams. We also have quite a few rising stars within our ranks.” Artemis would nod. She was pleased that the Green Mantis was finally picking itself up from the ashes of the past, forging a better future forward. “Some of them are over there.” She would point to Fuu, Valo, and Alexander. [break][break]
She would then turn back to Lydia, “Would you like to meet them?”
Fuu had just finished spitting her drink onto the floor...or so she thought. Wiping any that was still on the side of her mouth with her sleeve with a disgusted look on her face, the tiny noble would shift her head in the direction of one of her squad mates who was currently yelling at the girl. She looked at the white haired man for a second before her eyes shifted downwards to his feet. Finally noticing the mess she made on the poor guy's shoes, Fuu shrugged nonchalantly before looking up at him again. "Eh, who knows." Fuu claimed, trying to be casual about it while shifting her eyes to the side. If it wasn't obvious already, Fuu isn't exactly the most respectful of people, even to her own comrades.
The dwarf's eyes then shifted to another member of the squad who appeared to be chuckling at her and the male. "The hell is his problem? Fuu asked, mostly talking to herself. Normally, she'd go over and give this guy a piece of her mind, but right now her hands were full, literally. When it comes to food and brawls, food always wins over the Wilhelm girl. Fuu just went back to devouring her food until only the bone remained, and she was just about to take another sip of her drink...which would've been a repeat of the last time, until her eyes fell upon a certain someone.
At first, the girl's attention was on Artemis the new vice captain of this squad...which was unknown to Fuu because she's rarely been paying attention like with most things, but what really caught her attention was the woman beside her. "H-holy shit, isn't that...!?" Fuu dropped her plate and the mostly full bottle of booze onto the ground, both of them shattering upon impact. The earth mage was now jumping in place a little with her hands covering her mouth as if to try and hold back from screeching like some fangirl. "Ly-Lydia Ra-Ra-Ravencrest?" she mumbled from her covered mouth. Why was THEE vice captain of the Crimson Lions here of all places!? Before becoming a Green Mantis, Fuu was mentored by a lesser known Crimson Lion Magic Knight. It was because of him, that the dwarf wanted to become a knight herself, specifically a Crimson Lion. From that point, the girl became a fan of that squad, and tried her best to win their favor in the Magic Knight Exams a year ago.
Unfortunately, she failed and only two squads wanted to have her. The Black Bulls which she has grown to loathe for her own petty reasons, and of course the Green Mantises which she found herself fitting in quite well due to her...criminal tendencies. Despite no longer being upset about being a Lion, Fuu still held that squad in high regard to the point of being a huge fan of them, especially of their captain...and vice captain who was here right now!
"Ahhhh, keep it together Fuu! You're above this nonsense." she said to herself before turning around to punch the wall in order to calm herself. The punch vibrated the wall a bit while leaving a little hole, some of the others who were leaning against the wall taking quick notice of this. She'd then exhale out her mouth and look towards some of the eyes that were looking her way. "What are ya staring at!?!" the tiny girl would yell, causing some of them to quickly look away, acting as if they were busy with other things. Fuu was definitely freaking out. She planned on staying right there and away from the Crimson Lion's second in command.
It's not like the woman would come over to her....right?
[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia would return the smile Artemis gave her as the glass mage sat down. It seemed the green mantis vice captain had no problem showing that the two of them where an item. Not that she minded much and would return the kiss while wrapping her arms around the younger women's waist. It was like it was going to be a problem would it? Even if it was Lydia could always take care of it most likely with her fist if anything. That may be true but how could I not give you a gift for a moment like this? It seemed the water mage knew what the pink haired mage knew by the last part at least based on her response. [break][break] Lydia would nod her head she of course knew this wasn't just for Artemis becoming vice captain and more for the green mantis squad as a whole. While she was glad they were starting to make a come back she wasn't here for the squad. The only reason the crimson lion mage showed up was because her lover asked her to come. Her gaze would follow to where the water mages finger was point taking note of three of the green mantis mages. One of which had currently punched a hole in the wall. Lydia of course didn't know any of them however it seemed Artemis wanted to change that. Looking back at her lover she would give the women a small smile. [break][break] Sure after all it would be rude of me to show up to this party and ignore the rest of the green mantis squad. She would then stand up from her seat holding a hand out for the other vice captain to take a hold of. Once she did Lydia would make her way over to the other green mantis mages. She would take a moment to get a sense of there overall power which didn't seem to be much. If she had to guess most of them were still lower ranking knights. Hello I'm Lydia Ravencrest the vice captain of the crimson lions. It's nice to meet you all. She would then give them a small smile.

"W-who knows??" Valo repeated what his squad mate said with confusion in his voice. The act annoyed Valo that was obvious usually things like this caused for a good ol fashioned brawl. But Valo was calm himself he took a deep breath in and let out. He didn't this girl well, as a matter a fact he didn't know many of his squad mates well. On top of that it was obvious that this one was drinking and her actions were a clear mistake. He took another deep breath and let it out. "Just watch it next time, and careful with the drinks? You might end up sick or something." He said grabbing some napkins on the table to wipe off his boots. He was able to clean off the mess for the most part, but he probably wasn't going to wear them again.
As he was cleaning off his boots, he noticed the girl had addressed another squad mate who was laughing at the situation. At least she wasn't a punk thought Valo a small smirk appeared on his face. A drink had landed on the table right in front of Valo to his surprise, he looked up and saw a random female had placed it there for him. "Looks like you needed a drink." she said before walking off, twirling her fingers at him to wave goodbye. "Well that was something, maybe tonight don't gotta be so bad." Valo said with a smile taking the drink and starting to take some gulps.
He took a seat but as soon as he sat down, the girl with the drinking problem had dropped not only her plate but also her bottle of booze on the ground shattering them. He sudden act left Valo befuddled, a heavy confused look on his face as he watched the girl jump up and down. It was obvious she was really excited about something, and Valo looked in the same direction she was. It was Artemis's section with whoever that lady was, Valo looked a little longer his curiosity growing. She had a crimson lion cloak on so she was in the same squad as Fell. He took a trip there not to long ago and admired their castle, he saw a few other of their squad mates but he didn't see her there. But it seemed she and Artemis were really close, so she might be really strong. If she was as strong as Artemis, it was just another name for Valo to remember to be on his list.
But suddenly the young women beside him would punch the wall, leaving a hole there. The act left Valo confused yet again but he was slowly starting to realize that this girl was just crazy with energy and excitement. "So your pretty excited huh?" he asked her with a chuckle in his voice. "It looks like their on there way over here too." Valo said gesturing in their direction as he saw the crimson lion wizard, leading the way for Artemis.

Alexander shut his mouth or at least attempted when he was caught chuckling. But the reaction from the shorty was too much as he continued to chuckle. He of course was ready for what he assumed was tussle when the shorty looked at his direction. Though her attention was more focused on her food until her eye caught the lady next to her. He of course can faintly recognize her as she was prolly among the people who were at the exams looking over the various mages. But he was of course surprised that someone of her position would be associating with newbies like them. That and he can already feel like they're being gauged by how she approached the three of them. Same feeling as Artemis funnily enough but that's beside the point as she greeted them. Shorty seemed to know her as well as she dropped both her food and drink on the ground due to shock. ‘Perfectly good waste of food…”, he muttered under his breath as he finished his meal.
He can only assume that she was from the Crimson Lions by the colors she wore. Who by all counts were another squad that had their eye on him...well that can be said for a good number of those squads as they all sent him offers but he had a promise to keep. Nevertheless, this was someone of greater strength and his thoughts rushed to wondering how she fights. He debates that starting a fight now during a party would not look good for his squad but he held himself back as he walked up to greet her. “Evenin, names Alexander Valentine. Pleasure to meet you”, he said as he wanted to get to the point as he set his empty plate and cup down properly near an empty table as he exchanged his pleasantries.
But it was then shorty smashed a wall which broke his calm demeanor as it took a second to process what she did and then burst out laughing once more. The shorty reminds him of a badger with her energy and general attitude. It took him a few moments to regain his composure as he loosened up his demeanor. He waved at Artemis in his usual relaxed tone as he turned his attention back to the group.. “You’re killing me here shorty with this show", he remarked as he was felt a few stares from the others but he paid them no mind as their presence lacked any sort of impact that could kill an ant."...sorry about that, the display was too much for me to not laugh, ya know?”, he said as he would walk over to a chair and grab another drink. “Comedy acts aside, whats the vice captain of the Crimson Lions greeting newbie members of another knight squad? Curious about your friends with Artemis and wanted to see what we are made of?”, he said as he sipped his drink as he leaned back in his chair.
Artemis would let herself be dragged to her squad mates, the ones that she had pointed out to Lydia. They were a rowdy bunch, and she knew it for a fact. Not a lot of the Green Mantis members were like her. She was quiet, reserved, and most of all, constantly vigilant. Even during this party, her sensory magic was heightened. It was a force of habit, though nobody would have been able to guess or know. It was something natural that she did, without exuding any aura or other sort of tell. It was not a spell, after all.[break][break]
Watching Fuu for a moment, Artemis could not help but shake her head at the young woman’s antics. It seemed as though that she had started to actually do more productive things around the base, instead of constantly fooling around and getting the Green Mantis black stars. While she had yet to earn any more Gold Stars aside from the ones that she had earned with her, she was at least more active now as a Green Mantis member. Artemis was sure that in no time, Fuu Wilhelm would actually show the world what she was capable of. Artemis could see her potential, and she knew there was only up for the young woman from here on out.[break][break]
There was also Valo Stark, a newbie who she had thrown into the fire with their first few missions together. She had not let up, and had assigned to him missions that were technically beyond his capabilities to do alone. But, Artemis had been there to not only guide the man, but mentor him whenever she could. He was also one of the rising stars within the Green Mantis, a part of the small group that Artemis viewed to be the ones carrying the torch for the next generation. He had potential, just like Fuu Wilhelm had, and Artemis was more than excited to see both of them grow into their own in time.[break][break]
Lastly, there was Alexander. He was an interesting case, a criminal that Artemis had tried to set to a better path. He had potential, and from his performance in the Magic Knights Exam, Artemis could not help but feel proud of herself for seeing it in him before anyone could. Of course, she had been quite nervous when the Crimson Lions also offered the man a spot with them, but in the end, he had joined their small but growing team of hopefuls. While Artemis had not seen him utilize his magic in a real combat situation unlike both Valo and Fuu, she was sure that he would not disappoint.[break][break]
“I had told Lydia that you were the ones I was looking out for when it comes to the future of the Green Mantis.” Artemis would answer the question posed by Alexander. “But yes, this is Lydia Ravencrest, my significant other.” She was never one to be subtle about these things, and she knew that being honest was the best policy. Plus, she had never had to introduce a significant other before, and was unsure if she had done it right. Though, she continued on, “The Green Mantis is on the rise, and I hope that you three will pave the way to a better future for our squad.” She would shrug now, turning to Lydia as she introduced herself to the members, “Though, I hope you don’t do too much damage to the wall, Fuu. Repairs are expensive after all.” She would grace the group with a small smile, something she rarely gave to anyone in general. Artemis supposed that letting loose sometimes is good for her, and her emotions were better in check now, especially her impulses for adrenaline.
"Excited? Excited about what?" Fuu looked towards the white haired guy, trying to act as if she had no idea what his squad mate was talking about. She wasn't doing much of a good job keeping it on the down low however as she was practically shaking. Being in the same room as one of her idols was both exciting yet terrifying at the same time, which was coming from a girl who doesn't scare too easily. The man also commented on the two vice captains making their way to the three rookies which caused the dwarf to wave her hand dismissively at the man. "Pffft, You're overreacting. Ain't nobody comin over here, especially Lydia Ravencre-" Before she could finish her sentence, Fuu noticed from the corner of her eye that those two were in fact making their way over. There was no denying it now. "Wh-wha-!" Fuu panicked a bit. What should she say, what should she do!? Fuu did not have enough time to think as the two had already arrived.
Fuu tried her best to play it cool, leaning up against the wall once more with her arms crossed, in front of the hole she previously made. She then closed her eyes to try and add to her "coolness" but she'd peek an eye open the moment that Alexander fellow referred to the dwarf as shorty. She then slammed her hands onto the table the white haired guy was sitting at, glaring in the one eyed mage's direction. "Oh I'll be killing you alright, if I hear ya call me shorty one more time." Fuu mumbled, but to be fair she was currently the shortest one in this room, even compared to the other members who were walking around and doing other things. Then as Alexander addressed the two vice captains, Fuu realized that she had lost her composure and immediately stood up straight, clearing her throat as Artemis started to speak. "Wa-wait, you told Lydia Ravencrest about me!?" Fuu's pale eyes beamed as she immediately made her way to the new vice captain with a bit more excitement.
"Did ya tell her how badass I am!? I mean, I did practically take down those wolves myself ya kn-wait....significant other!?!" Fuu's boasting quickly faded to make way for her look of complete shock at this news. She was now looking at both vice captains one after the other. "You...and Lydia Ravencrest!?" Fuu's hands were now on her cheeks as she continued to think about this sudden revelation. "Holy shit she's dating Lydia Ravencrest!?" Fuu was now back at the table, shaking the white haired mage's arm as she couldn't contain her excitement. "And to think Artemis couldn't get any cooler. I bet you both kick all kinds of ass together!" Fuu said as she started punching at the air now. This certainly helped lessen Fuu's nerves, getting back to her usual self.
The young Wilhelm would then react to her vice captain's comment on the hole in the wall, causing Fuu to look back at it for a second. "Ya mean that little ol thing? Please, I can make bigger holes than that with my pinky alone." Fuu claimed as she crossed her arms and wiggling her pinky with a cocky look on her face, completely missing the point of Artemis' comment. "Wanna see me do it, Lydia Raventcrest?" Fuu said as she ran over to Lydia, hopping once again in place before stopping as she realized something. "Oh, also the name's Fuu...er I mean hello my name is Fuu...wait no...it is an honor to...uhhh. Fuu...Fuu Wilhelm...that's me, yes." Fuu added, messing up her introduction while attempting to bow, almost falling over in the process. Looks like her nerves weren't really all worked out after all.
[attr="class","florencetext"] As the two vice captains where making there way over to the other three magic knights it seemed that the shortest of the three was currently arguing with the other two. However as they noticed the two archmages approaching it seemed to stop. In fact it seemed the brown haired mage was almost excited to see them. Perhaps they were really good friends with Artemis. She would of course soon find out the reason for the young mages excitement. However the red haired mage was the first to speak up giving his name before asking why Lydia was at the party which was a simple answer. However her lover would speak first explaining that she told Lydia about the three of them before even making it known that the two of them were an item. It seemed that Fuu would lose her shit at this point. [break][break] The girl was definitely rowdy and it even remembered her about stories she heard about her own captain back in his younger years. She would then start firing off questions and statements one after another. While Lydia would have answered Alexander's question first it seemed that Fuu would blow up from excitement in hers weren't answered soon. No she didn't tell me how badass you are in fact I don't know much about the three of you other than Artemis told me she was that you three are the one's she has her eyes on to help her build the squad back up. Yes we are in fact dating each other and I guess you could say we kick a lot of ass together? We mainly just get sent on dungeons together. As for the wall while I'm sure you could make a bigger hole than that most people don't go around destroying there own base lastly you don't have to call me by my full name all the time. [break][break] The crimson lion vice captain would pause for a moment looking at her lover to make sure she didn't miss anything. Her gaze would then turn to Alexander. Now then for your question on why I'm here it's simple. Artemis invited me out here so I gladly came. I'm not here to see you three are made of because that would mean a fight just to see how skilled you are. Now if you guys wanted to fight me I'd recommend all three of you fighting me at once you might last a little longer that way. While she wasn't looking to pick a fight with the three of them she also wasn't one to turn down a challenge to fight she was the vice captain of the crimson lions after all. Lydia just hoped that if a fight did in fact break out the water mage wouldn't mind to much.

Valo did his best to hold back his little laughter by covering his mouth with the drink in his hand. He would be lying if he said he wasn't at least getting a good laugh at all this antics. His squadmate named Alexander introduced himself first pretty casually, but mentioning something quite interesting. It was pretty clear to Valo that this Lydia Ravencrest was here to spend some time with Artemis to congratulate her on becoming the vice captain. But there could be an off chance she was here to just what the new members of Green Mantis was about. Valo couldn't speak much for the other two, he could only think of himself. He felt the amount of gold stars he was bringing in to the squad was a pretty decent number despite him being rather new. But Valo shrugged off such thoughts it was clear he had to do more, and thats what he aimed to do.
Next thing he knew was the small one starting slamming his hands on his table, addressing Alexander she was definitely a loud and rowdy one. Reminded him of a friend back home, he didn't mind it if she could back up all the talk. Maybe he would find out one day. But she continued on making quite the comical scene because of Artemis and this Lydia Ravencrest person had made their introductions and said they were dating. This statement didn't really faze Valo in the slightest though, he didn't really care who dated who. If anything it wasn't his business and he liked to keep things that way. But the talk of dating did make him think about the blue haired girl he met the other day. He started to ponder what she was doing.
But his thoughts were quickly interrupted when the small energetic girl started shaking his arm in utter excitement. Valo wasn't really surprised though she already punched a whole in the wall, so it was clear there was no to her excitement. Valo rolled his eyes in a slight annoyance though as some of his drink spilled to the ground. "Tch. This girl." Valo said to himself looking towards the ground at his spilled drink. But before he could say anything she was already up in Lydia's face talking or at least trying to stumbling over her words. "Hahaha little girl. You can't even get your words together." Valo said towards Fuu with some laughter in his voice.
Valo would turn towards Artemis for a second. "Congratulations though Artemis you really deserve it. But make sure you keep that vice captain seat nice and ready for me, when it's my time to take it." there was no stutter or hint of hesitation in his voice, it was clear that was his aim and goal. Not to out right take the position from her, but at the least be one of the strongest members here in Green Mantis and becoming a vice captain would only further prove that. His same ol wicked grin on his face as he said it.
But the young wizards attention had diverted to Lydia's words. What she said he thought was quite interesting, she was extremely confident in her abilities. Now Valo was getting interested in her. It was clear she was wickedly strong most likely on the same tier of Artemis. So alone she was right he would have no chance at all, but so what. Valo hadn't even introduced himself yet officially but he looked at her as he addressed her. "You seem pretty confident Miss Ravencrest. But these two aren't in my league. If we fight it'll be one on one. I don't care how strong you are." Valo said looking at Lydia this time he was not laughing or chuckling. To Valo right now it didn't matter if he would lose. He would lose that fact was obvious. But to him you had to lose a fight every now and then, it kept you fresh. It kept him motivated.

Alexander started to laugh a bit more as Fuu started to get quite miffed at his colorful nickname for her. The moment the threat came out, he was ready to throw down at the drop of a coin as he was really tempted at testing her grit. A good fight is always welcome in his book but it was soon sidetracked as she got nervous around Lydia as she came to greet them alongside Artemis. Seems like some people here know more about the Magic Knights than him and that helps in the long run since he has zero clue who any of these people are aside from Vice Captain. Though its a damn shame that he cant fight now but hey, now he gets some details on what was going on which brings him some important details he isn't aware of.
“Ooo you and the vice captain of crimson lions~, now that is a power couple set up if I ever seen one”, he said as he raised his glass before downing it. The surprises never seem to end with this crew as he can see that there are some colorful personalities in this crowd. The thief, the shorty here, the cool guy over yonder, the power couple are just a few and he barely even got in. He got his answer one after another as Lydia took her turn and boy was it a doozy. Considering the pressure Artemis gave off when he first met her, he has zero doubts about her prowess. But he was always up for testing his skills against her if it means he can learn something nice.
But then the other male in the party began to boast about how he was more than him and shorty and he took some offense with that. “Haaaah? What's that? You’re saying you're the strongest one out of the three of us? Did you drink some strong stuff or are you that confident in your skills?”, he remarked as he sat back up in his chair as he looked at him with a new drink in hand. A smile started to show on his face as he continued his words, “Unless you can prove that you can kick ass, I’m half tempted to challenge you the moment we have a chance”. Though his tone didn't match his actions as he got another plate of food as he began to enjoy his meal. Savory and Delicious as always as he did not break eye contact from the other dude.
