Artemis would nod with thanks, “The fight was hard, and the Captain is not one to mess around.” She would shake her head now, remembering the instance where she had been able to catch the Captain by surprise with her sensory skills. She knew that it would not work twice, and in the future, when she decided that it was time to finally challenge for the Captaincy, she would need to find a new way to combat the Captain. Barron Castle was a strong mage, and there was no doubt that he deserved being the Captain of the Green Mantis. However, Artemis felt that it was time for a change. The old guard needed to pass on its mantle, and give the new generation of talent their own stage to shine. [break][break]
For now, however, she would bide her time.[break][break]
“Challenging Lydia, hm?” Artemis would ponder for a moment, after hearing Fuu challenge Lydia. Then there was Valo who wanted to spar her solo, while Alexander seemed to be putting in his own fair share. She would shake her head. “Lydia, dearest, why don’t you take these three outside and show them just what you are capable of?” [break][break]
Artemis was not one to punish members. No, this was a lesson of sorts. To show just what these three still have to catch up to. If they were the future of the Green Mantis, then they needed to be stronger, stronger than they were now, and achieve their full potential. What better way to encourage them by pitting them against an opponent that’s leagues stronger than they were currently.[break][break]
“Just no maiming. I would like my Mantises to come back alive in one piece, if they’re up for it, of course. And if you’re up for it as well?” She would end it as a request. Artemis would not presume, only suggest. Why not? A celebration needed entertainment, and this might just be the entertainment that Artemis would have until after the party itself.
Fuu listened to every word Lydia had to say to her, all while still bouncing in place with a grin on her face. She couldn't believe it, the vice captain of the Crimson Lions, speaking directly at her! The earth mage didn't even care that the woman didn't want to see her punch another hole in. The fact that she was getting acknowledged by this powerful magic knight was enough which was very obvious by how she acted. "Yeah, sure thing, Lydia Ravencr-Er Lydia!"
The earth mage's mood made a complete shift at the white haired guy's first comment. She was now turned away from Lydia and glaring at him, growling like some sort of wild animal. Fuu was just about to let her temper get the best of her until hearing the guy's next comment. Her aggressive demeanor shifted into a more puzzled one, blinking a few times while now looking at Artemis. "Vice...Captain?" It was then Fuu's dense self finally realized what this part was for. How on earth did she continue on this entire time, not knowing about Artemis' promotion!? She even remembers her briefly mentioning that she was going to be challenging the Captain for said position during the mission the two went on. Then again her attention was immediately drawn to the one eyed mage which quickly reminded Fuu of what else the white haired man said.
"Can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with the one-eyed weirdo." Fuu claimed with a scoff as she faced the cocky mage again with her hands on her hips. "I'll stomp the both of ya out right now!" Fuu claimed, cracking her knuckles. "Also, what's this about being the next vice captain? Hate to break it to ya, but you're looking at the next vice cap riggghhtt here, chump!" Fuu said with pride, pointing at herself with her thumb and that challenging grin of hers flying right back to her face. "In fact...I'll be taking that captain spot right from under ol' Barron's nose! Won't be any different from swiping wallets." she added, laughing with gusto. For a small girl, Fuu had a big personality, big dreams...and an even bigger ego.
In the middle of her laughing, Fuu nearly tripped on her own feet as Artemis spoke. "We-we're gonna do...what!?!" The girl faced Artemis then looked at Lydia. A cold sweat appeared on her face, but then the teen shouted with joy with her fists in the air, turning quite a lot of heads.
"Lydia's gonna freakin kick our asses! Let's do it!!"

[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia's gaze would shift over to the white haired mage who spoke up about being in a league above the others. Lydia could of course sense he was stronger than the other two mages by a bit however the gap between her and him was like that of the sun and the moon. The kid would be lucky to be standing after two of her attacks. The vice captain of course knew that Valo more than likely knew it as well. However before she could even speak up a argument between the three of them broke out in which they all made some bold claims. The pink haired mage would turn to Artemis shrugging while letting out a sigh. The water mage would then take control making a suggestion. I wouldn't maim them however I can't say I won't break some bones. Lydia would then shift her gaze to the white haired mage. [break][break] Yes I'm confident in my skills you don't get this far without being confident in them. As For the second part no it won't be a one on one fight. There was two reasons I suggested all three of you fight me at once. The first being that there will most likely work with each other so you need to learn some team work. The second being you are far weaker than me and the fight would end fast and where is the fun in a spar if ends before it starts? Lydia would then pause for a moment before speaking to all three of the lower ranked mages. Lastly none of you are even close to vice captain let alone captain. Now then if the three of you finally have your shit together and can work as a team follow me. [break][break] Lydia would say the last part in a colder more commanding tone making it clear it was all three of them at once or there wouldn't be a fight. Assuming the three mages actually agreed Lydia would head outside of the base find a spot big enough for the four of them to fight. Once she found the spot she would turn to face the three of them. You can start whenever you three want.

"You two are cute." Valo said simply looking at both of his squad mates calmly. He didn't them well or at all, and the fact could still stand that either one of them could probably beat him. But Valo's attitude on the subject didn't change at all, if anything he was happy other people in Green Mantis were confident in themselves. It would have been quite the let down if the two just agreed with him. This response was exactly what he had hoped for. He looked back at Alexander "One day we can probably see that challenge through. Don't get too upset with the out come though" he replied with a smirk.
After hearing his Vice Captain request Lydia test all three of them Valo sighed, his thoughts on the matter didn't change. He sat back in his seat the chances of him getting his proper one on one were becoming less and less likely. Valo shifted his eyes to the lively girl Fuu, of course her response to it all would be the most energetic. But she continued to make claims that most would deem kind of silly, but Valo took her words seriously he wasn't the type to poke fun at someones actual dreams and ambitions. "Then I guess we'll both in the race for next Vice Captain then. But same goes for you. Don't be mad at the outcome. As for the captain spot...who knows." Valo said plainly. In his mind he knew Artemis had plans for being the next Green Mantis Captain. But underestimating Barron was something no one should do, it was smart to wait things out for the right time. But when that time came Valo had his eyes set on his goal and he planned to achieve it. But things like that were so far off it made no sense to stay on that topic for to long.
Lydia started to address Valo directly, she made some very solid points. Working on team work was going to be essential for them Valo couldn't deny that. When Lydia took a her pause Valo spoke again. "Solid points really solid. But I'm kind of hardheaded. I have no doubt that the vice captain of the Crimson Lions eclipses me completely. I stand no chance whatsoever. So surely proving that would only take what...two maybe three seconds? Why not test it? You are the fastest in Clover right?" Valo said slyly looking at Lydia. His arrogance clouded his mind, and it was odd because he knew that. Valo didn't care about what anyone else thought on the matter or how it turned out. Getting a one on one fight with Lydia Ravencrest was something that didn't happen often, and Valo wasn't going to let it go. She continued with a much sharper and colder tone to make her point clear. Valo wasn't done being a stubborn idiot though.
"Tell ya what...you indulge me for what let's say ten seconds. And If I can still stand by the end of it we can have this three on one. We can work on team work and all that good stuff." Valo would add on now standing up to match her gaze. He hoped she would bite the bait, maybe she would and maybe she wouldn't. But Valo wasn't going to budge.

“Oho?”, was all Alexander can think as he heard his fellow mages confident response. He has seen his fair share of big talk in his childhood but it was always a coin toss. He heard Fuu laugh it up and gave her share of boasting but it only added to the ever growing urge to spar with all of them. The remarks about his eyepatch added to the comedy as he sized up the table. Granted he’d lose with no big issue but he wants to see what he can take from them in terms of technique and to gauge them. It's how he lived his life, not the type to handle glory lightly as it goes to his head a bit. He was more a fan of seeing how each magic knight fights. One can tell alot from a personality from how they fight. Mostly getting a read on everyone at the table and he was damn well sure that Artemis and Lydia can throw him around like he was a small rodent. But he kept his facade up as he looked at the others at the table.
his expression got shaken a bit as his vice captain suggested actually sparring. While he was for it, he had a large preference to not get hurt at all as he wasn't exactly the sturdy type. But rejecting the offer would only make him look real bad in front of the crimson lion vice captain. That and the other two were also for it and he had every reason to join in, maybe he can get something out of it in the end once it blows over. His ears perking up when he overheard Lydia being the fastest in the kingdom.”I’m for getting my butt kicked, Im curious to see how the fearless vice captains are in a fight..”, he added on as he finished his food. Losing is always a reality for Alexander but what doesn't kill him makes him stronger….or so his philosophy goes. There isn't going to be an opportunity like this in a long time and he may as well jump for it. But his fellow knight was not budging from his position of a one on one fight against her so he piped up as he stood up.
“I dont know whether to call you confidant or stupid...but you got some guts for not budging on that…”, he remarked as he heard Fuu say her thoughts . “Count me in, its been a while since I got my ass handed to me so please be gentle~”, he joked.
There was a point when Artemis would have called these three’s reaction a bit suicidal. Of course, she had been the one to suggest the spoar. However, she did not think for a second that Valo would challenge Lydia one on one, and the rest of them being so gung-ho. Artemis was always one to take pride in people who wanted to surpass their limits. It was a good trait, especially for a Magic Knight. This had been true for Artemis, after all. She was one who had made sure to surpass her own limits, reaching her position now despite having quite a number of obstacles. Artemis hoped to see the same drive within the new and upcoming Green Mantis members, and it seems that she was not going to be disappointed. [break][break]
“Hm... let’s go then,” She would nod, taking the plate of cheesecake that had been served to her by one of the serving boys that was working for this event. Grabbing her fork, she walked with Lydia, with the rest hopefully following behind. They would attract a crowd now, and had some even following them. It seems that the conversation had been heard by more than just their small group. The possibility of seeing a spar between a Vice Captain and some junior members of the squad was interesting to say the least. [break][break]
Arriving at the training ground just outside the main hall, towards the eastern portion of the squad base, Artemis would turn her attention towards the group. She had, of course, heard their comments, but she had other things in mind. [break][break]
“A spar. Three of you against Lydia.” She would gesture towards her partner, and gave her a small wink, “I hope you three don’t hold anything back.” [break][break]
Artemis then turned towards Lydia and gave her a sly smile, “Break bones if you must, but leave them alive. I do want the future of the Green Mantises alive and well, after all.”
Fuu was once again glaring at the white haired lad after being called...cute. Of all the things she hated to be called, that was definitely one of the main ones. "You..." The dwarf was very tempted to just knee the guy in an area where the sun doesn't shine, with very little holding her back. Then came his next comment about competing to be vice captain. She looked to be almost taken aback by what he said, her aggressive demeanor faltering for a bit. She was honestly expecting him to laugh off her claims like most did, but the guy spoke to her as if she were a legitimate rival. A small almost warm looking smile came up on her face, but quickly it shifted to her usual challenging grin followed by an acknowledging nod.
The one eyed mage on the other hand made a comment that was more in line with what the dwarf was expecting. Being close enough and with a scowl, the earth mage lifted her foot up and attempted to kick the chair the red haired magic knight was sitting on down, trying to knock him on his ass. "You're gonna be calling me "boss" soon enough, doofus." she claimed, crossing her arms with eyes closed.
With all that happening, Fuu didn't notice Lydia's comment about breaking bones, but she paid close attention to the other things she said. Every word that came out of the other vice captain's mouth whether it was her expressing how confident she was or belittling the others, the young noble was completely captivated. She saw Lydia as one of her heroes, someone she really looked up to and wanted to be like. She's also the second in command of the same squad her late mentor was once a part of. All of this just continued to inspire the teen which could easily be seen in her eyes, and that focused expression. Once Lydia was finished, Fuu nodded, fists clenched as she was ready to do this! "Right, we won't let you dow-" she spoke in an almost hushed tone, but stopped as she noticed the white haired guy getting into Lydia's face. He was at it again trying to get that one on one, stubbornly standing his ground. The confidence that this guy was giving off had the teen feeling a little awestruck. He looked so cool standing up to someone so powerful like that....That was suppose to be her dammit!
Snapping out of that little moment, Fuu conjured up a small rock, and chucked it at the back of Valo's head, aiming to hit him with it. "Screw off, I bet I can last ELEVEN seconds against Lydia!" Fuu claimed, arms crossed with face diverted away from the others with a little pout. Upon Artemis' order Fuu started to loosen up and followed to the training grounds. The dwarf didn't even realize the small crowd that was following in anticipation. She was more focused on this upcoming spar, wanting to try her hardest to not just impress Lydia, but Artemis, and secretly the other two...
Now within the training ground, Fuu readied herself with her grimoire open and floating idly beside her. Fuu wasn't sure if Lydia was gonna actually give the other mage his one on one, but ether way she was ready and alert.
[attr="class","florencetext"] The crimson lion vice captain would watch as the three lower ranking magic knights starting to fight among each other once again. It was all of who would be the next vice captain which all of them wanted to be which wasn't a bad thing. After all knowing someone else is aiming for the same spot as they wanted would only make them train hard which would make them stronger assuming none of them gave up. Valo of course still hadn't given up on his attempt to fight Lydia one on one as he asked the question if she was suppose to be the fastest in clover the glass mage would narrow her eyes. No ones been able to match my speed let alone surpass it so yes I'm the fastest mage in the kingdom. As for the second part how about this little boy if you work together with the other two I'll fight you one on one before I leave assuming you can move that is. As the four mages started heading outside Lydia would take note of the crowd following them. [break][break] She would just let out a sigh as she hoped they wouldn't get in the way. As Artemis gave her a slyly smile and reminded her not to kill the other three Lydia would give her lover a small smile before kissing her forehead. Don't worry they won't die I know how to hold back. The vice captain would then turn to face the other three mages smiling but it wasn't a friendly smile it was one that was common for members of the crimson lions to make before a fight. After all they lived for a good fight. As Fuu pulled out her grimoire and got ready she had the right idea however the earth mage would have been better off starting the fight. Lydia would then run at the small girl and with her speed would reach Fuu in a moment or two. She would them bring her leg up to try and catch the Wilhelm with a knee to the gut for intermediate damage should it hit. Lydia would then quickly bring her leg back down before using her other leg to kick Fuu's feet out from underneath her dealing intermediate damage once again should it hit. Lydia of course hadn't forgot about the other two and was ready to counter them when needed.

It was becoming clear despite his attempts Valo was not going to get his one on one fight with Lydia. As tried to persuade the vice captain one last time, a small rock hit the back of his head. "Owe!" Valo said frustrated looking back to see who was the culprit was. Of course it as Fuu the girl huffed at him, telling him to screw off and she could possibly last a few more seconds. Instead of reacting with anger Valo smirked, it pleased him that there was others just as stubborn as him in his squad. After seeing Fuu and Alexander's reaction to facing off against Lydia he could no longer reject the offer. Valo didn't look down on them, but he needed the reassurance that they were willing and tough and he got that. So his issues of fighting along side them started to subside, and he would now partake in this 3 on 1 fight. "Hmph alright alright already. I'll do it. And I'm holding you to that as well. So don't forget." his answer to Lydia.
The group and many other began to make their way towards the training ground, without realizing it all that banter caught quite the crowd. So it was a large group of people now heading out to the training ground. "So this is going to be a show huh." Valo said to himself, stretching his arms out in front of him and unbuttoning his long green mantis cloak but leaving it on his shoulders. But he didn't walk with the group he decided to hang back for just a bit. Not that he wasn't going to fight, he definitely was but he had to use every advantage that he could. His team were already at a clear disadvantage, their opponent was stronger, faster, more powerful, older and had a lot more experience. They were not going to win, but they could make a good impression. Fighting stronger enemies wasn't new to Valo, back in Kikka he had to fight bigger, stronger and faster rival gangs all the time. Now Lyida Ravencrest wasn't a typical thug like back home she a powerful vice captain, but Valo was confident the same logic could possibly apply.
Valo wasn't going to approach this fight like his other squad mate Fuu, who stood honorably and prepared to face Lydia face to face. In situations like this there needed to be a plan. They didn't have the time to make a decent one so he had to improvise, he noticed Alexander didn't go forward yet. He quickly tapped his arm, and whispered in his ear. "Fire off any attack you have right after me, no matter what." he said quickly and quietly right into his ear hoping he would hear it but didn't leave anytime to linger as he blended in with the crowd. There was no time for any further conversation, he didn't want to be caught whispering.
His grimoire attached to his right hip started to activate he didn't know how good her sensory was but he start activating some spells if he hoped to stand a chance. His first spell an improvement to his original Flare Accel, "Flare Accel V Second." basically a version two that would increase his speed much more than the first. He had no chance in out speeding her, but if could make up that difference even slightly it would prove beneficial. His next spell a brand new offensive spell that he unlocked, Valo was an offensive mage through and through and this spell would increase his offensive potency and potential ten fold. "Sāto no ken." the words of his spell quietly left his lips.
Two red ethereal blades made of pure heat and fire appeared behind him floating, awaiting for his next direction. His strength also increased causing each of his physical attacks to cause damage on the scale of an intermediate spell. He was as prepared as he was ever going to be, now was the time. Valo was still apart of the crowd if activating his spell gave his position away, or she was able to sense him regardless he had start making a move his cloak slipping lower off his shoulders. The Crimson Lion magic knight was able to close the distance between her and Fuu in mere moments. Valo almost found it funny how fast she was, but he would still proceed with his plan. He figured even though she would attack Fuu outright she was going to be on guard from attacks coming from him and Alexander, why wouldn't she be she was fighting three people at once. But what could she do against a range attack while she was preoccupied? He would have to see.
It was unfortunate but she was to fast for Valo to react fast enough to protect Fuu from any damage, he could only hope she was able to defend herself somehow someway. But once her first knee attack finished and she brought her other leg down, Valo would fire off one of his blades forward directly trying to hit the vice captain, the blade itself would shoot forth from the crowd of people trying to land a surprise attack. Would it hit? probably not she was much to fast, but if Alexander had heard Valo's whisper he would fire off an attack as well right after Valo's blade went forward. If the Crimson Lion had backed up to dodge, Valo would move in forward using his increased speed to stand in front of Fuu making his presence.

Alexanders attention was of course a slight bit delayed as he got out his grimoire as he wondered how fast the Crimson Lions vice captain. Winning against her isn't exactly possible with how big the gap is and losing is pretty much guaranteed...but he has to try nonetheless. It was obvious they were going to lose but learning from losses is the best way to get stronger and this was no expectation. What's another beating added to his list? It will only serve to make him stronger than he was previously.
As he geared up his grimoire he heard Valo whisper something to him. He looked to his direction to give a thumbs up as the man went for Lydia's direction. A whistle left his lips as he saw the spells he was packing and he was mighty impressed to say the least. The moment the fight started he could only see a blur from where the Vice captain went as she rushed for Fuu. He didn't know there was a crowd but he was not aware of how fast the vice captain was...hell the only one for comparison is the other vice captain who could also wipe the floor with him. Valo disappeared from his vision as red blades came from the crowd and went for Lydia. Whether or not the attacks actually hit didn't matter as he saw this as a window to try and land an attack of his own.
“Lighting Road”, he said as his grimoire began to glow and lighting began to surge around his body. He can feel the effects of the spell immediately as he rushed at Lydia. He can’t defend Fuu but he can of course see if he can divert her attention away from the shorty and onto him. As he got into range, he readied up his second spell as his hands her primed to strike. “Cross Lighting”, he said as the air around his arms began to crackle as they were imbued with electricity as well. An attempt to land a visible mark on her was obvious but he isn't sure if he is actually going to hit. He followed Valos' attack in suit but he isn't exactly confident that a plan like that is going to work on her. “Yo Shorty! Still a bit green there !”, he joked as he committed to his strike. A part of him was prepared for the punch to the face he was about to receive but another part wants to believe that the attack will hit. Either way, this is going to be a lesson in taking on stronger people without much thought put into it.
If she dodged and made a counter, Alexander would attempt to bring up his arms to block the attack but depending on how hard she hits, he is going to take some serious damage.

The result is a X cut left on the target if the hit successfully makes contact.
Applicable Perks: Mana conservationist | Full Blitz

Artemis found herself watching what seemed to be the spar starting to brew. She had been reassured by her partner that there won’t be too much blood spilled. Truly, she was not worried as much since she knew that Lydia was a very well-controlled Magic Knight who knew how to hold back when needed. Well, that’s a white lie, she assumed that Lydia knew how to hold back when needed. [break][break]
“Hmm…” The Vice Captain of the Green Mantises would hum to herself, taking another slice of her cheesecake and eating it. It was good cheesecake, the best that the Noble Region had to offer. Artemis herself had ordered these in for the celebrations. After all, it would not do well for a noble such as herself to celebrate with something mediocre. No, only the best for Artemis, especially with special occasions.[break][break]
She would start to feel the mana in the air buzz. Artemis knew that this was her own squad mates using their spells to attack Lydia. She would look up, mid-bite, watching the spectacle with a calculating glance.
Before she could even properly sink into her battle stance, the dwarf's pale eyes widened as the Crimson Lion's vice captain made her move at speeds that the earth mage thought wasn't humanly possible! "Holy...GAH!" Too caught up with the amazing speed and being too slow to react in time, Fuu found herself taking a knee to the gut, causing the girl to hunch over in pain and cough out with her hands now against her stomach. Unfortunately, the young Wilhelm wouldn't get enough time to recover as she found herself being kicked right from under her feet, making her land face first onto the ground! With the use of raw strength alone, Lydia knocked Fuu out of her mana skin with just two hits!
The crowd that piled up started to applause and go wild in the process. It wasn't everyday that they'd witness the power of such an elite magic knight at first hand!
Fuu on the other hand wasn't having as much fun as she'd hope...
The dwarf groaning, slowly raised her head up. Finally processing what had just happened, Fuu started to grit her teeth and was growling softly which most likely couldn't be heard due to the crowd. She slammed her fist on the ground in frustration, that trademark temper of hers starting to take over.
Slowly struggling to her feet, Fuu glared at the woman as a brownish aura started to surround her, boosting the dwarf's body but her attention would instantly switch to the blade of fire coming the woman's way. Not only that, but the one eyed mage was also apparently rushing at the speedy vice captain with lighting surrounding his arms. "About time..." Fuu muttered, trying to take advantage of these incoming attacks to maneuver around Lydia, and once in the right position, she'd attempt to forcefully kick the woman in the back of her leg, trying to bring her down, and deal half junior damage!

Description: With her grimoire flipped to the right page, Fuu begins to draw on the mana of the earth around her, merging it with her own mana to strengthen her body to be as tough as stone itself. With this active, Fuu is able to ignore the damage of a single spell or attack of Junior or lower rank per post as well as ignoring the extra effects of damaging spells in general (courtesy of her Tenacious Body perk) once every five posts. If the attacker has +20 power to Fuu's durability then it will only half the spell's rank in damage, but if they have +30 then she will not be able to ignore the spell at all. (Tenacious Body will remain in effect however.)

[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia would watch as her two blows hit there mark Fuu was out of the fight for a moment which gave the vice captain a chance to react. It seemed Valo was trying a surprise attack by hiding in the crowd however the glass mage was able to sense his mana making the spell easy to dodge. However at it flew past her she would grab the sword throwing it back at the fire mage. It seemed that the one eyed mage had also made his move at the same time increasing his own speed to try and catch Lydia by surprise as well. However she moved just fast enough to avoid the blow but she wouldn't counter attack him. Instead she would spin around facing Fuu blocking the younger mages kick with her legs. Lydia figured it was about time she show them just what she could do. Glass Magic: Gáe Buidhe As the glass spear appeared in her hand Lydia would throw the spear into the ground shooting out glass in a seventy five meter area dealing senior damage to anyone that was hit by the attack. She would then rush Fuu again this time fainting her kick before grabbing the earth mages arm. Should it actually work Lydia would then raise her own leg up before bringing it back down on the Wilhelm's lower leg dealing int damage and breaking her leg taking her out of the fight. [break][break] Lydia would then jump back to avoid any other attacks before making her way over to Artemis giving her a kiss on the check. Sorry babe. Lydia was both apologizing for breaking one of her squad mates legs and for what she was about to do next. As the pink haired mage would take the bite of cheesecake off of Arty's fork before turning back to face the other two. I wonder which one of you will fall next?
[attr="class","florencetext2"]Ops forgot to mention I have the sword of the fall hero.

All of Valo's plans and strategies that he tried to come up with were all for naught, Lydia Ravencrest proved to fast and much to strong. He didn't anticipate the Crimson Lion to not only catch his blade that was made of pure fire and heat, but she also threw it back at him. He was just barely able to bring his arms up to block the attack, his own spell hit his mana skin. He didn't feel the burning effects of his own spell but the force of the attack remained, and it was enough to push him back just a few inches.
She was even able to respond to multiple repeated attacks, from Alexander and Fuu they had each sent attacks right after one another but her speed and reaction time proved to be to great. Valo at this point in time wanted to keep distance, maybe shower her with some long range offensive spells but he was to slow. Right in the middle of engaging Fuu and Alexander she released a massive AOE spell of glass, her glass spear hit the ground and sent shards of glass over a 75m radius. It was to fast and to wide, to even respond to Valo could only brace himself. The powerful spell shattered what was left of his mana skin and even pierced his body, the attack sent him back a few feet landing on the ground hard.
He lost consciousness for a second before jolting his upper body back up, he coughed some and tried to make sense of what happened now. Valo's clothes were shredded and had many hole's and slashes in between them. His skin had some deep cuts and scratches some blood could be seen, he didn't expect this not at all. He hadn't anticipated such an powerful attack at that speed. He managed to get back on his feet and saw Lydia taking Fuu out the fight, Valo's breaths were heavy as he started to walk towards his squadmate Fuu even walking for him was difficult now. Assuming the dwarf took the damage, Valo would look towards her. "Aye you still didn't apologize for spilling your drink on me. Don't think I forgot. So don't be be loosing consciousness alright?" Valo said with a plain stare. He turned his head towards Alexander, to see how he was doing. "Oi one eye can you still fight?" he asked him, then turning back towards Lydia.
"That was quite some spell you tossed out there." Valo said raising his left arm up, his right arm was to bloody and painful to move now. "We're we to much for you to handle with your speed alone?" Valo started to taunt the Vice Captain. "Three junior ranked knights pushing a vice captain to use a spell like that... Who woulda thought. Well anyways I'm still standing Ravencrest." Valo said looking at her, if he had enough time before she rushed him he would attempt to activate another spell. "Cerberus..."
Two large six meter long golems would form from the flames coming from his grimoire, each one having three vicious heads each. The two golems would begin to pursue Lydia at an attempt to attack. It probably wouldn't work at all, but Valo had to at least go down swinging. His two blades made from his spell did follow behind the golems, in another attempt to land a hit. If Alexander could still fight, Valo only hoped he would be able to send out an attack of his own.

Alexander's kick predictably did not hit its mark as his own attack was used against in the form of friendly fire. Not even the courtesy of a counter attack and going for his ally without much effort. The vice captain is beyond his speed on so many levels that even trying to land a hit on her would be the equivalent of trying to catch up to a comet in the night sky. He blackflipped to create a gap as he was looking towards another area where he can run. A feeling ran down his spine as he lifted his eyepatch so he could see better. The style outlived its use for now as he needed both of his eyes NOW.
Time seemed to slow down as he saw her hands move a bit as she muttered something. Something BIG was coming and he needed to react but the window was only so small that he could barely manage to move in the opposite direction. “Not good, not good at ALL!”, Alexander said in his mind as he began to run as fast as he could with lightning crackling around his legs. A glass spear soon appeared in her hand and then suddenly a hail began as the spear slammed into the ground. He couldn't even hope to block it as the glass hail reigned down on him he brought up his arms to block it.
His mana skin and his body were covered in wounds as he kneeled on the ground to process what just happened to him. The feeling of fear and excitement ran through him as he saw this unstoppable force before him as he looked on. Valo on the other hand was worse for wear but he had some spunk left in him as he stood back up. “I’m still ready to brawl, though the odds of us winning are as slim as finding a speck of salt in a river”, he cracked his knuckles as lightning cracked around him. He wanted to run away but his pride wouldnt let him as he looked at her with a determined eyes.
His ally wasted no time leaving his remarks and letting out more of his own attacks in the form of two fire golems appearing to aid him. The red haired mage simply smirked as he clapped his hands to show his own little trick. Winning was impossible at this point but he was about ready to go out with a BANG. Sparks began to form around his hands as a lightning sword appeared in the gap as he gripped it. “Lightning Magic: Lightning Blade”, he said to himself as he gathered all of his magic as he ran at Lydia aiming to at least land one slash on her.
