Description: There are always negatives when attempting a summoning and using the dark arts of the past without understanding all of the symbols. Yet, when one mistakes, the rune for “friend” with the rune for “undead” you start to wonder about the idiots in the world.

NPC Information: Idiot Cultists are running around the outskirts of Aries Garse screaming for help. They’re wearing suspicious dark purple robes and need to be arrested for the fact that they unleashed monsters on the population.
Enemies: Ghouls x 6 per player
Ghouls are fleshy boney golems that walk on four legs. They charge at whoever nears them because they have a strong sense of smell and have intermediate health while dealing intermediate damage.
Special Conditions: Defeat the ghouls and arrest the cultists.

It was just like any other day for Chisana and by that he meant it was completely not like any other day, he had awoken to feeling strange and not in the coming of age strange but he felt like his magic or mana had been changed in some way. He was not sure what it was, he just felt like he could not summon his golems he had grown so attached to anymore. He didn’t know of anything besides a powerful curse or even some crazy magic item that could cause such a massive change in his life, sadly for him he didn’t have the time to dwell on this significant change in his life.
He had been tasked once more by the Captain’s own wacky and weird note delivery system which basically was just a very sharp dagger implanted into his door with a note of what new request, mission or task he was to take upon himself and deal with. He didn’t really have a choice to but to deal with it and complete it to the best of his effort for if he tried to ignore it more of these daggers and notes would litter his door till he finally finished it or they would slowly find their way inside his room and such. It was one of those things that really showed the young Shengxiao that he had been falling behind on his training before he would have at least noticed something was wrong in his room during the night but now a days he tended to not notice the change till early morning when he naturally woke up.
Was it because he was becoming much to use to the lifestyle of living in the Squad base or was he truly losing his edge with the lose of his obsessions as other people called them he just say those things as highly interesting people.
No matter, it wasn’t something that he needed to dwell on currently and he was sure he would overanalyze that train of thought later on especially when he tried to figure out what was going on with his magic in general. He moved around his room methodically, making sure to clean up after himself as he went, he made his bed, cleaned up any dirty clothes and slowly tidied up his living space. Once he finished that he got dressed in his typical dress outfit that he was slowly becoming known for and fitted his Leather armor chest piece under his clothing, his gauntlets on his hands and his Black Bull mantle. Once he was sure he had everything he needed for his travel and task he left his room and proceeded to find the Spatial mage that would be on duty today to transport him to the target area. The place he was supposed to go is to Aries Garse and locate these seemingly panicking mages.
Quickly he stepped through the portal and after that weird disconnecting feeling he sometimes felt when passing through them he was on the outskirts of the target area now he just needed to find the people mentioned in the request. Luckily as he walked the closer he got to the to he could hear someone spazzing out and crying, Chisana quickly made his way to the person, “Hey what’s going on are you part of the group that requested help?” The mage he had approached was wearing some weird cloak and just screamed *Crazy* but as Chisana approached the mage’s expression turned from one of panic and despair to one of relief. “Please you got to help us we messed up man, we fiddle with something that should have stand for those of higher power and ability.” Chisana looked at the mage and tried his best to calm them down. “First of all, tell me the situation I can’t help with something I don’t know about.” The mage nodded his head and slowly recounted the tale of how things came to be.
Apparently, they had been trying to summon a creature to be a familiar but one of the newer recruits messed up the summoning circle and now there were things called Ghouls running about attacking the locals and the other mages. Chisana simply shook his head in disappointment. How on earth could they have summoned something like this but did not have the skill or power to deal with the outcome. After he got the mage to tell him where the Ghouls were last at he quickly ran towards that spot, things had stayed contained decently well more so due to the fact the summoners had picked a spot far out into the woods for their little experiment and the undergrowth and ease of having the unlucky mages nearby had kept the Ghouls within the area. From what Chisana was able to tell about the number of Ghouls was that there was six of them and they were humanoid in appearance. The mage had told him that they were not very smart, but they did not feel pain or have any other desire besides eating flesh, mainly human flesh if they could get it.

Making sure he understood where all the Ghouls were he picked up a palm sized rock and tossed it as hard as he could at the Ghouls hoping to get their attention from the mages there were quite interested in. It seemed that the rock had only annoyed one of the ghouls and caused it to turn around, Chisana couldn’t tell if it could see him with those rotting eyes but he got a shiver down his spine as it slowly approached him in a aggressive shamble. It seemed from what Chisana had been able to tell from a quick glance that they were all in various states of decay and some of them had legs and limbs in better shape then others so he had gotten quite lucky that he had gotten one of the slower ones but that didn’t mean that Chisana had let his guard down after all these were evil creatures that purely just wanted to cause him harm and would love to take advantage of any weakness he showed or put out for them to grab. He didn’t notice any kind of weapons on these undead so he assumed that their main way of attacking with their hands, feet, and if they really ate flesh like the mage had told him with those nasty looking teeth of theirs. Chisana did not feel like being on the receiving end of those chompers after all he also didn’t know if they imparted a curse or negative effect on those bitten and with him being the only Magic Knight here he didn’t have the luxury of having back up.
He also knew that there was no way that any of these scared shitless mages were going to help him from what Chisana could tell they were far to scared out of their minds to even leave the places they had holed up in which would be what any sane person would do. Now that Chisana had gathered the little bit of extra information about the situation he fully committed his attention to the shambling and grumbling Ghoul that was trying its hardest to reach this new and fresh prey. Chisana settled into a basic fighter stance keeping his gauntlet covered hands at chest height with one fist out farther then the other. He kept his body turned with his right foot out in front and left foot in the back ready to push off the ground when needed. Chisana had worked with various mages that had spent some time working on their physical ability instead of their magical and they had been teaching him little things to refine his generally brawler style of fighting he had developed as he grew up.
With his magic out of control and unresponsive to his normal callings he would have to focus on more of the physical style of dealing with opponents, he was simply lucky that he had obtained the pair of gauntlets and the chest piece from his time at the Eldritch home. They allowed him to be able to put a bit more *oomph* behind his normal punches and even had some abilities that allowed him a quicker movement. He had fiddled with this ability before and it was like night and day compared to his previous speed which had been average for all real intents and purpose. He allowed his mana to flow easily into the Gauntlets and the Chest piece activating both the Snake’s Grace and Snake’s Movement abilities of the items. This would last long enough for Chisana to truly do some damage to the undead creatures, he released his held breath and pushed off with his back leg lunging inhumanly fast at the Ghoul pulling his right fist back and throwing his left quickly at the center of the Ghoul’s chest landing a meaty thunk. The blow had crushed the chest of the ghoul and as soon as Chisana’s attack landed he dashed back out of range. Had the Ghoul had any semblance of intelligence beyond just seeking out its food it would have realized it was truly dead but it simply waved its claws at the fleeting figure and fell to the ground never to move again. “Ok One good hit will take them down then. That is good. Nothing to worry about on that end but lets make this quick and efficient.” Chisana mumbled to himself as the other ghouls had started to turn towards him finally smelling his scent and being drawn to the noise of the fairly quick fight.
NOTES: Activated Snake's Grace & Snake's Movement. A physical Reinforcement Spell that increases Chisana's speed to 17m/s. It cost 44 mana to activate both spells. They last for 2 more turns then can be activated 2 more times before having to pay a recharge cost of 48 for both spells or 24 for one. IC mana regen restores 35 of the 44 used. 106 out of 115 mana remaining. 1 Ghoul killed due to Gauntlets dealing Int Dmg per hit. 5 Ghouls remaining.

Slowly the rest of the Ghouls turned towards Chisana they had finally caught his scent and the slight commotion of the fairly quick fight had also piqued their interest, Chisana resumed his stance feeling like his body was as light as a feather. He had fallen quite in love with this new way of fighting and made a mental note to continue bothering the other mages and “martial artists” he could find to get some more training. Maybe he could find someone in the family that had some knowledge about the practice to learn from, that would be the most beneficial for him, getting back to the current situation two of the ghouls whose legs weren’t completely useless began their charge towards Chisana. With a smirk on his face he dashed ahead once more just like before and repeated his last attack and caved in the ghoul’s chest, moving quickly behind the second fast moving Ghoul he moved his right hand in a karate chopping motion against the Ghoul’s head leaving a noticeable indent in the skull then just as fast moved away from the remaining three ghouls. He had already easily and smartly dealt with half of the ghouls that had been summoned if he hadn’t gotten his items this task would have been so much worse then it was right now he once more made a note to hurry up and figure out what was going on with his magic so that he wasn’t just having to solely rely on the items he was using currently.
For now he needed to draw the remaining ghouls away from the mages that wore the purple cloak but he knew he would have to bring them to justice to so he looked at the nearest one and said, “Gather your friends and hide together I will come back for you guys to help with any injuries sustained.” Of course Chisana had no knowledge or capability to use healing magic but they didn’t know that and if they believe they could be healed and that they weren’t going to be taken in they might be more willing to stay in the general area. If not Chisana had no doubt he would be fast enough to caught the group of five mages including the one that was the original mage who had told him about the situation and such. If it took him all day he would gladly chase them down. For now he just paid attention to how close the remaining Ghouls were and continued to lead them slightly farther away from the group of mages so they could regather and get to a bit safer place. “Come on you annoying buggers follow the fresh meat in front of you.”
NOTES: Snake's Movement and Grace still activated for 1 more round. Can still be used 2 more times before having to recharge. IC mana regen mana back to full. 3 Ghouls dispatched, 3 Ghouls remaining.

Chisana quickly turned on a dime as he determined that they had gone far enough and went on the offensive it wasn’t much but he executed a lower leg kick completely taking out the lead Ghoul’s footing and finished it off with a punch to the back of the head then he moved away putting his back against a tree and started to formulate how he would take out his last two opponents they weren’t smart and they didn’t really work together beyond trying to grab for him but beyond that it was the easiest fight he had in quite some time. Nothing better than dealing with a creature that only thought with its stomach and not with some higher intelligence, it was slightly satisfying how easy it was overall. Now he took his stance with a smile on his face and readied for his next attack.

Smiling Chisana had felt that the spells had stopped working as he had reach the end time of one of his three uses and just as easily as he had before he had the items use the second use leaving him with one last use after this. Chisana did not mind he was sure he would finish this task quickly and have no worries about it. So quickly dashing forward he uppercut the ghoul on the right and just as fast hit the last ghoul with a haymaker that to Chisana’s surprise caused the Ghoul’s head to spin around 180 degrees. Chisana made sure that the ghouls were all taken care of and quickly headed back to the group of mages who had caused all of this. While one had decided to take the chance to make a break for it he was injured and Chisana easily caught him and returned him with the rest. Once he had them tied up and disarmed of any grimoires or other items he got ahold of the local guard force and had them transport them to the needed people as he went and made his report to the mayor and confirmed the task had been completed to the best of his ability and that no one besides the mages who had caused the situation had been hurt. It was just as easy as he had thought it would be but he made sure to humble himself because if he hadn’t had his items then things would have been a lot more difficult then what they were. So, making a mental note to continue his training and get on with getting his whole magic situation in order he made his way back to the Black Bull base. He wanted to take a bath and get his items cleaned, especially his Gauntlets.
