The Prince Fezek and Princess Yersina have fallen, but the third brother is the most fearsome yet. He has taken up residence near the Diamond border on a leyline hotspot and has twisted the locals into his warped puppets of torture, sending them out under the guise of needing help from nearby settlements just to add to his army. He must be stopped at all costs.

Sunrise at the Golden Dawnsafehouse in the forests of Hage. Beautiful, warm, and the light fog that covered the forest floor was enough to call the place...magical if it was seen, but for Zaven Blake and Rosalia Boreas...well after a night of liberating Hage Village from the claws of Princess Yershina, the Daemon that tried to control a leyline near the village...the pair were both sound asleep still, Zaven on his back without a shirt, leading anyone that was watching to believe he was completely nude under the smaller blanket the pair shared in that bed. His partner during these missions was beside him, more or less in the same state, except cuddled next to him. There were many questions that could be asked of this scene were rather scandalous in nature, but the fact that the safehouse was pretty much empty now and the little food that they did have was used for a meal to fill their stomachs for the coming battles, and drink used to help them sleep, what little was left was beside the Blake noble on a nightstand as he awoke near noon to the noise and bustle outside. It seemed that the villagers had already started to rebuild and get back to work, it made him nearly chuckle before sliding out of the bed and going to the bathroom and then finding a single comb he went through his hair once before splashing some water on his face to fully wake up. The scar on his chest reminded him of someone he also held dear to him, and then there were the other new scars he had and he smiled. He was never going to heal properly in this life, and this was the second chance he was given. Looking in the mirror he noticed how different he actually looked, it was a wild experience as he forgot about his “old” face. He came back to the darkened bedroom and grabbed the bottle and saw there were a few sips left of it as he took a small swig of the wine...the bitter taste of the fermented grapes almost made him straight spit it out, but he did not as he choked it down. This wine was toast anyway, and he would hopefully have something left in the next room. He did not dress as he checked the wine rack to see there were at least two bottles left; a white wine, and the last was a cherry liquor that he smiled about, remembering the night he drank with the beauty and Lydia until the early morning hours...when the swill went stale and the Ravencrest was not going to let the Shadow of Dawn drink up all her storehouse of wine. Next he looked inside the pantry to find a few basic provisions, enough to make a pastry of sorts. So he did, a fruit medley and the hand made dough made in minutes using the wonders of magic, and items he had stashed away for emergencies. An hour later and a half later and the little baked pastry was done. He set it out to cool, the smells wafting through the cabin as he made his way back to the bedroom. [break][break]
Once inside he would sit back on the bed and wait for Rosalia to awaken, and once she did he would smile and give her a wink. ”Good morning beautiful, have you recovered from the shit storm that was last night?” He would ask before waiting for her to ask about the smell wafting through the safehouse. ”It is a pastry I made to hopefully give us a bit of energy, there is also some wine and cherry liquor, and water of course...but to each their own. We should eat and get going, the next leyline is near the diamond border...and while we are not far away, there is still a considerable amount to travel through.” He would say and then if she was up and ready he would get out of bed as well and go to the closet and slide on a basic set of traveling clothes, nothing fancy, but it covered him nicely. He left off his mantle and long coat for the time being, he was not ready to put that all on just yet. He would spy a glance of Rosalia if he was able, admiring the curves of her body, her supple features, and...other things of course, she was poetry in motion and those glances would lead to smiles, and those smiles from the glances were the precursors to sweet or otherwise intimate thoughts that caused the captain of the Golden Dawn to blush. If he was asked to help, he most certainly would and once they were both ready he would follow her to the kitchen where the pastry was waiting on the table, a little bit of steam still rising from it as he walked forward and grabbed a knife and fork before cutting into it. The first slice of the knife, causing the pastry to have a satisfying crunch as the crust cracked until he cut it fully into eight even sections. The smell became much more pungent as it was pleasant and warm...the nobleman was even a decent cook among all other things. ”Please eat up, and I will wait a moment before getting some myself. I hope you enjoy.” He said before leaning against the wall of the safehouse, it was near the door...the sounds of people working in the distance could be heard faintly and Zaven was relieved that the people of Hage were capable enough to get back on their own feet without having to rely on the crown. Commoners were strong, and even if they did not show it the sense of community was refreshing to see, it was very different from the life he came to know as he grew up.
Unlike both of her best friends, Rosalia Boreas was not an early riser. Especially after she’d spend most of her mana reserves the previous night fighting an evil daemon that was trying to turn villagers into slaves... Yet, the beauty’s pale form was snuggled beneath the covers of the bed in the Golden Dawn cabin, quietly resting as much as she needed. She was selfish in that way. The red-head would always prefer waking up from the gentle caresses of the sunlight (or waking up of her own volition.)
So the Vice-Captain of the Black Bulls slept soundly, snuggled into the warm covers of a bed that smelled of something familiar, her chest rising and falling calmly as her locks covered the natural colours of the pillows into a crimson red. The only reason she did wake up was that the bed had suddenly lost the comforting warmth that she loved having, and she found herself stirring around to look for it, before finally turning herself into a blanket burrito when she couldn’t. [break][break] A little huff left her lips before she suddenly felt that familiar source of heat someone around her again, and instantly moved towards it. Her arms wrapped around something strong and firm…but warm… And she stood like that for a little bit before opening her eyes after a short 20 minute nap…only to come face-to-side with a certain Captain’s body.
[break][break] Rosa blinked a few times before she chuckled and pulled the man down into a quick cuddle as he greeted her. She loved warm things… They were her kryptonite.
[break][break] “I’d say so…but I think you had it rougher than I did, considering you had to handle one hell of a demoness.” The witch murmured as she buried her nose in his neck and pressed her mostly naked cool body to his. There was no sexual connotation to her actions…it was simply a quirk that came out of her Magical Affinity and its oddity…she loved warm things. “And I never want to hear you tell me to stay behind ever again.” This little sentence came out as a sleepy little growl as the woman exhaled. Zaven Blake wasn’t the only delightful thing that Rosalia smelled in the room however, and the smell of baked bread and sugar wafted through the air, causing the mage to look up at her best friend and lover with a little mischievous smile.
[break][break] “Why…did the Shadow of Dawn spend his time waiting for me baking?” She giggled and grinned at his answer, unable to resist giving him a soft happy kiss. The man really was so kind and caring…Rosalia slid whatever covers had remained off of her mostly naked body before heading into the shower quickly, and then going over to drink some water and have a few cuts of the warm pastry. A moan left her rosy lips at the flavour.
[break][break] “Fuck…that’s good!” Why were both of her best friends amazing cooks? The beauty was still only wrapped in a white towel as she ate. Wet droplets slid off of her soaked hair down her shoulders and disappeared under the material as she enjoyed the meal. Maybe she really was exhausted from yesterday? Those who knew Rosa well knew that she barely ate, but this time she’d finished more than she’d usually have as a portion, while still leaving Zaven about half of the pastry.
[break][break] “You and Malcolm should have a cooking competition and let our squads be the judges.” She joked before wiping her lips with a paper towel and walking back into the bedroom to get dressed. The ice witch had only really brought two more combat outfits, two more pairs of underwear and a single bra when it came down to clothes. She didn’t need much, so she quickly slipped on the bra and panties before sliding into the tight black leather and suede onesie and zipping it up. Her hands then grabbed the towel and aided her in drying her long crimson hair as much as possible. Finally, she slipped her Black Bull mantle back on.
[break][break] “Alright~ I’m ready to go!” She grinned, her voice ringing through the cabin as she hummed a little sea shanty to herself. “And if you try to pull today what you pulled last night, you’re getting a very hard smack.” It was a gentle warning, but one she would keep to. Rosalia Boreas was not all bark and no bite. She was cold fury.
[break][break] Her heels clicked over to the made before she tilted her head to one side and gave him a little seductive smirk. “Shall we get going or do you want me to propose another way to fill our time together?”

He chuckled a little at her words, her warning was received loud and clear as he just gave her a soft nod. ”The only daemoness I am more afraid of than the bitch we fought last night, is scorning you Ms. Boreas.” He said with a grin and watched her head off to the shower, coming back she ate her slices eagerly and almost ravingly as he just gave a soft smirk. When she suggested that he and Malcolm have a cookoff and let the squads decide who was the better chef Zaven just gave a soft smile. ”That is not a bad idea, I will have to do that after we get through with our business with these leylines.” He finished his pieces and drank a little of the wine before finally putting his long coat and mantle on, a few shoulder stretches later and his grimoire was now strapped to his waist. Hraban hung around as the little raven shadow spirit was intrigued by the two. The female also held a peculiar shadow as well and the spirit wondered if perhaps she also had something of a link with a spirit. When they were done Zaven heard her little tease and he of course walked right up to her and grabbed her by the waist and looked directly into her eyes. ”I know exactly what I could do to preoccupy our time instead of moving on...but business first, then pleasure after.” He said before giving her a kiss. The kiss, while not seeming so important, was one of the most passionate ones he had shared with a woman so far in his lifetime, the tender way his lips caressed hers...the warmth of his breath as he parted her lips, his tongue slid into her mouth for a moment before pulling away and just stared at her for a moment. ”There are very few times I am jealous, but at this moment I must say, the Black Bulls have stolen a beauty from the very heavens themselves. I only wish that I had a chance to recruit you.” He said with a chuckle and he would pull away before heading for the door. ”Let’s get going Rosalia, we have much ground to cover if we want to try and find the next spot of corruption.” He said as he pulled his grimoire out and summoned his golem, Typhon before him inside the clearing that the safehouse cabin resided in. Zaven gestured to Rosalia and the shadow dragon golem with a soft smile. ”your chariot awaits Vice Captain Boreas, I hope it is to your liking.” He said as he waited for her, watching her figure as she would pass him if she did so first. Once on the back of Typhon he would give the command to rise and take flight. The pair took to the sky in the direction of the Forsaken Region to search for the next ley-line [break][break]
Their flight was quick, and their target was actually hidden well this time, it seems that the daemons before this one may have just been far too eager to indulge in their bloodlust than to get their job done so Zaven would find a spot to land near a lone man wandering the countryside. Of course, neither of them were prepared for the consequences of doing this. [break][break]
The man waved over to the pair of magic knights riding on this magnificent creature. He was smiling the entire time and looked excited. Once they were on the ground the man looked to Rosalia and the thought came to his mind. ”If I do well...maybe the master will reward me with her...not even the whole thing is needed, a leg...maybe even a piece of her chest...I must do this right.” The man quickly removed from his thought and spoke to them ”Hello Magic Knights...I am so happy I found you, you must be tired from your journey and I can see you are eagerly looking for something, take a break at my village, I am sure the members of my village can help point you in the right direction.” He said in a hurried fashion. Zaven was a little less convinced that this man was just that helpful, but in this area they didn’t have much to go on so he looked at Rosalia and sighed. ”it’s up to you my dear. What does your guy say about this man here. Is he trying to help us, or hinder our search?”. Zaven asked the ruby eyed beauty as he carefully considered the next course of action. If they went and it was a trap...he could probably fight his way out, but he needed to protect Rosalia and make sure she was ok, not that she couldn’t fight on her own...that Black Bull Vice Captain honestly had the Shadow of Dawn a bit nervous when he knew a fight was near...she was like a goddess of death on the battlefield and he was a monster with a familiar twitch that he was beginning to find almost truly irresistible the further down the rabbit hole they went into this mission. The Blake noble knew that eventually he would have to face that side of himself again and he was ready for it, even if he was not too sure he could overpower it. He knew his will was strong enough though...for the time being he just kept himself in check. That voice told him though, and not Hraban’s…”Go on...just give in to your desire...to want to rule over others is only natural.” The voice made him think twice about talking right now as he swallowed hard. Why did this man just trigger him like that, and why was he alone out in this field?
A loud laugh left Rosalia’s lips and she raised an eyebrow as she looked at him. [break][break] “You know there isn’t anything about me that warrants the use of the term “Miss” around me.” The witch chimed with a grin. She found the pastry he’d made absolutely stellar and was pleased when he agreed that they should have a cooking competition. Of course, priorities came first and the gorgeous pair’s recent experiences tackling the daemon invasion were…just that. Horrific sights of abused witches, mind broken men and women and children held in cages… Rosalia wasn’t quite sure what kind of nightmare Clover was suddenly dreaming up, but the reality of it all was…well, reality. She could only do her best alongside Zaven to stop the destruction around the leylines while her allies and friends dealt with the invasions in the large cities.
[break][break] The wizard pair hadn’t had any news on how the others were progressing, so the Vice-Captain was a bit nervous. Charles was somewhere out there in her hometown- Kikka, and having to act more grown-up than he was. Come to think of it…Rosalia paused in her chewing. It was going to be both of their birthday’s soon. Perhaps they could celebrate them together. She’d have to recheck the file on him once she got back to the Black Bulls base.
[break][break] When Rosalia teased the Blake about how they could fill their time in other ways, she didn’t expect the forwardness he presented her with. Her ruby hues stared into his as he held her around the waist, their chests pressed against one another as he pressing his lips to hers in a deep, passionate and sweet kiss that made the beauty bring a hand behind his neck. Fuck. Her eyes shut quickly as she just enjoyed the sensation until he pulled away, his breath fanning her lips and she opened her eyes to clash her red gaze with his azure one.
[break][break] “Blame your previous Captain. I wanted to be in the Golden Dawn more than anything two years ago.” She murmured, a she stepped back and pursed her lips. Rosa even had to glance away to stop herself from pouncing on Zaven Blake then and there. How could she not when he kissed her like that? The witch could feel the color rushing to her cheeks as she exhaled and recalled the Magic Knight exams. The day she couldn’t get into the Golden Dawn, the day she couldn’t make her mentor, Vulkan Rinvol, proud of his hard work. She got into the Blue Roses instead but…the whole “sisterhood” thing wasn’t for her. The beauty loved male attention.
[break][break] “Yes, you have a point.” Her heels clicked after him out of the door and into the courtyard where Typhon was laying calmly on the ground. Seeing the giant dragon instantly made the witch’s face light up. She practically skipped over to him and gave him a very gentle pet on the side of the arm before climbing on top of him.
“I missed you, Typhon.” She said, fully aware that Golems weren’t actually sentient. Dragons always tended to remind her of Azordesmon and Azisorius. Her mentor in Trap Magic, Runic, Ancient Draconic and all things precision related…and his adorable dog-sized young son who ran around like the best cheerleader in the world. Perhaps, she should’ve gone to visit them soon. Her eyes glanced over at Zaven as he climbed up on Typhon.
[break][break] Perhaps she could bring him with her?
[break][break] An idea with some of the most difficult execution. The Storm Jarl’s Mountains were the temperatures of between -10 degrees and -30 degrees Celsius, with constantly rumbling blue lighting, thick fog-like clouds and mana currents that stumped a person’s coordination. It was like an icy white desert of death. A trap. The only thing that had saved Rosalia the first time around was her naturally cooler body temperature due to her affinity and pure unadultured luck.
[break][break] “Yes, this is one of my favourite chariots!” She exclaimed and moved to nestle into Zaven for warmth the way she always did. She was like a cat. Or maybe a reptile of some kind. She loved warmth and had no trouble expressing that around people she trusted, like the Captains of the Black Bulls and the Golden Dawn.
[break][break] Suddenly, not too long of a ride after, Typhon started descending and the red-head pulled herself away from Zaven as they landed in the countryside. A large red sunflower farm covered the surrounding area, making Rosalia smile at the sight. She’d never seen one of those before, so she slid off of Typhon to take a look at the sunflowers closer. Rosa could feel the eyes of the man that had waved them down on her, but she didn’t pay too much attention to it. Her pale fingers slid over the petals, as she turned to the man and gave him a large toothy smile.
[break][break] “Thank you for the kind offer…say, are these Corpsel Sunflowers?” She asked, a polite grin upon her lips as she recalled her study of the very particular crop. Her ruby hues wandered over to Zaven at the sort of flower, wondering if he’d heard of it before. The name was…The infamous sunflower that could only be grown with very large amounts of blood. And supposedly tasted of flesh. Oh…how the reading of books could be beneficial to one when she ended up in such a wonderfully suspicious situation.
The man seemed stumped at first at her question before finding a rather roundabout way of answering it. “Well…uh, I am not sure as I am not the owner of this farm. Perhaps we could ask the owner back in the village?”
[break][break] “Thank you for your kind offer. But I fear we just had a wonderful rest a few hours ago, we’ve just been riding around since then, which isn’t all that tiring.” Rosalia joked and gave the man a wink before directed a sexy little smile over at Zaven. She was extremely wary, but she wouldn’t show it.
[break][break] “Perhaps you could show my fiancé and I your village anyways. We’re down to explore around anytime. Getting away from all of the slaughter that’s been happening around Clover’s larger cities recently would be nice~.” Rosalia hid one of her hands behind her back as she spoke, making a ring with a large diamond, all out of ice, formulate around one of her fingers. She then reached forwards to show the man the ring. “Isn’t it wonderful! God we’ve been looking for a venue to get married for ages now. It’s been three months since he proposed!” She gushed, waiting for an opinion from the man as she acted like a dumb love-struck girl. Who knew the model also had acting skills? If he looked down to inspect the gorgeous ice-diamond, Rosalia would glance over at Zaven and give him a very wary look, as if to say “Act natural, something is off.”

The banter on the ride over was great but the man really did put an odd thought into his head, and apparently Rosalia caught on as well as she quickly adapted a persona...one that would absolutely give Zaven a heavy blush on his cheeks after this whole ordeal. When she mentioned the sunflowers, Zaven’s mind snapped to attention as he knew about the flowers...he had some at Rolin’s manner and they would bloom when he...well, the point was that they bloomed which caused Zaven to follow along. The man then admitted that he was not the owner of this farm, and yet he was not dressed as a worker either...the mystery became clearer as Rosalia made a very...interesting joke as Zaven decided to interject. ”Well the riding we do is surely a work of hard labor, but yes as she said we are not really that tired as the golem here did most of the work for us.” He would say with a grin that would not alarm the man to any of their suspicions. Then came the announcement that they were just out to escape the blood flowing from the other places the daemons have attacked. Using the guise that the two were lovers, engaged even and Zaven did not show any hint that this was false as he nodded. ”Yes, the fact that the Royal Capital was pretty much closed has pretty much shattered our hopes in getting married in the famous Clover Church...my salary allowed me to take her somewhere rather lovely, but we are also pretty new to this whole thing. We definitely need to look around for the most scenic place to tie the knot.” He said as Rosalia gushed like a true woman ready for marriage, the ice diamond on her finger was a nice touch as the Shadow of Dawn gave a chuckle. ”Alright alright my love, I will make it happen…” He said before slipping her a quick, but still passionate kiss before looking at the man and hopping off of Typhon and smiling. ”So please take us to this village of yours so we can take a look around, we will compensate you for your time of course. My name is William, and this lovely woman whom I will soon be calling my wife is named Veronika. We are in your care Mr?” Zaven led through the theatrics as he waited for the man to deliver a name. ”Samuel, Samuel Scott, and I would be more than happy to escort the lovely couple.” He said as his inner thoughts leaned more to the fact that he looked at the pair and was thinking of ways to rob and kill them. [break][break]
The walk through the forest was very close and there would not be room for the golem so Zaven held Rosalia’s hand through the walk, casually flirting with her along the way with a kiss here, and an embrace there as they would marvel at the sights. It would not take them long to reach a very enclosed area that showed to have a clearing above them...but Zaven remembered that there was no such thing when they flew overhead. The view of the village did not appear to show anything wrong with it. The people went about their day as if there was not a care in the world, and Samuel seemed so inviting once they crossed over into the area. ” Come come, the church is probably the BEST place to have the wedding, the lighting is brilliant and the priest is a kind being. Please follow me.” He said while moving faster, but Zaven felt it as soon as they entered the village...the stench of a daemon. He looked back at Rosalia and tried to see if she felt the feeling as well...this was not going to end well.
Rosalia nodded at Zaven’s interjection. That statement had been a bit tricky. She knew he’d caught on by the way he looked at her, that little bit of surprise at first that made the beauty pleased with herself. She loved catching the two men in her life off-guard. If she got a blush out of them, than that was a medal she would happily wear around. They made her blush very often with their affections, and the witch always wanted to return the gesture. She faked a sad expression at their “shattered hopes” of getting married in the famous cathedral in the Royal Capital. In truth, the beauty had stepped in their once and spent hours just reading through the interesting murals, trying to make sense of the iconographies and stained glass windows The beauty was far from religious, but my god, did she always admire the gorgeous architecture that the Church faction of Clover provided. She’d spend a few weeks’ salary back when she was a model to buy all of the written works about the churches, the histories and mythologies behind them…In all honesty, aesthetics-wise if she ever got married, The Clover Cathedral was definetly one of her favourite places of choice. Babel was another one. They had a gorgeous church there too. [break][break] Rosa snapped herself away from her thoughts of the potential future and shook her head. She wasn’t a relationship person. She liked sleeping around. In a few years…maybe. If that one special man decided to give it a shot with her and do his best to break through her icy walls…then maybe, just maybe, the mage would give him a chance. Being called “his love” by Zaven, however, did genuinely make the Vice-Captain of the Black Bulls blush. It was something she’d never expected to hear, unless it was from crazy fans who’d bought all of her magazine covers and proposed to her in bars when they found her. “I’ve known you and I were meant to be since I saw you on this magazine cover, my love will you please marry me!” Or something like that. How many proposal had she rejected already…she couldn’t count. In all reality, while Rosalia felt the most comfortable with sleeping with shallow men who only cared about her appearance, she wanted someone who actually accepted the magic nerd that she was inside. Because that’s exactly what was hiding under that front. A completely book-nerd of mana, spells, beasts, elements, religions and everything else in that aspect. Hell, she’d probably move on to work as a professor once she’s too old to be a Magic Knight. Rosa loved kids.
[break][break] When Zaven introduced her as Veronika and himself as William, she almost wanted to glare at him. Veronika? Did she look like a playbunny from the magazines? She pursed her lips to keep it together. Well, it’s not like she wasn’t offered the contract three times with exceptionally high pay.
[break][break] Her heels made no sound as they followed after the suspicious man who introduced himself as Samuel Scott. Disregarding the very telling Corpsel Sunflowers from earlier, there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with the place that they were travelling through, and Rosalia didn’t even have to play along as she admired the nature and smiled at Zaven’s sweet kisses and flirting. She really was enjoying this. Best idea ever.
[break][break] They entered a small, nice-looking village soon, and she’d listen to Samuel tell them of the lovely church the town has nearby. She grinned in response and then looked at Zaven, only to notice his expression, and that smell. That very particular smell akin to one of a wet dog and rotting corpses. It was faint, and most people would just probably attribute it to some animal, but the pair knew… Oh did they…
[break][break] Her eyes wandered casually around the people going about their mundane tasks. A lady sewing in a chair by her front porch. Two little boys playing with a leather ball, two grand ladies gossiping and grinning at the pair…men carrying wood from the forest. The scene all looked very natural.
[break][break] Rosalia didn’t know how to deal with this. Were these all real people? Illusions? (Rosa was well aware those were her weakest point). There was no way she’d be able to ask Zaven that out in the open. She knew he’d likely be able to sense it…an idea popped into her head.
[break][break] “Sorry Samuel, would it be possible for my future husband and I to use the bathroom in one of these nearby houses? I’ve been needing one since we landed and can barely hold it in anymore!” She said, faking nervousness as she seemed to catch the hurried man off-guard. He seemed to focus on her sternly.
[break][break] “There is a bathroom in the church that you can use! Now come along.”
[break][break] The response wasn’t satisfactory for the beauty as she huffed and pouted, stomping her foot.
[break][break] “But I can’t hold out that long!” She sounded like a fussy child. And her stubbornness seemed to visibly annoy creepy little man.
[break][break] “Alright, go to the nearby house.”
[break][break] Rosalia gave him a little thankful bow as she faked the discomfort of needing to pee. She quickly grabbed Zaven by the hand and led him into the house with her, much to Samuel’s surprise. Once they were safely inside of the building the beauty would whisper in a hiss.
[break][break] “Guess we found the next one…are those all real humans or can I kill them?”

As they were escorted into the village Zaven did not see anything out of the ordinary and that made him wary of the entire situation, he was going to use his sensory...but in order to do so he would have to reach out with his mana and within doing so he would most likely alert any sort of trap that might be cast upon the town...but he remembered this place...it was not open at all from the air. He listened to Rosalia and Samuel go back and forth for a moment as he was a little confused by the situation, and then finally got an answer and was told she could use the house next door. Rosalia really caught him off guard when she pulled him along with her and soon they were in a very...small space for two people to be in, which was a small village house bathroom. He blushed for a moment at this until she finally asked him about the village, and he blinked like an idiot...the very same thing he was thinking earlier...was what she was thinking as well. He gave a wry smile before bending in and pecking her lips before nodding, “Well as soon as I do this...you know the fight is going to start, regardless of an illusion or not...so if you are ready to fight, so am I.” He said as he stretched, powerful popping sounds from his joints could be heard as he limbered up for what was about to come. [break][break]
As soon as he opened up his mana, he felt the presence of evil permeating the land, and even worse...the illusion was not even all that powerful, it was just like a light fucking dusting on top of an unused book. He sensed the illusion breaking and then the “villagers” blinked in as enemies as the church had a large evil aura around it. He reeled back in his mana as he looked around, the dilapidated bathroom looked like it had been reclaimed some years prior ”Alright...so the village is one big hoax...and we are surrounded, so I assume we just have a quick make out session, and the two of us go around and take out the enemies? There are about twenty in all...shouldnt be that much to take care of. Then we go kill the bastard that started this and go to the next piece of shit.” Zaven said with a smirk before pressing against her even as the old wood outside began to be destroyed by the puppets and he would kiss Rosalia with a confidence and flair that he had not shown. He was just trying to get her back for the sudden acting he had to do for the last couple of hours...fair was fair.
Rosalia would notice the pink on the noble’s cheeks and found herself pursing her lips and glancing away nervously. She hadn’t meant for them to be in such a space, but damn it was the quickest thing she could think of. [break][break] That damn scent, of hot chocolate and lemons…and something muskier, it invaded her personal space the same way she’d invaded Zaven’s. Fuck, Rosa had a thing for scents. And warmth, and god was the Blake warm. She could feel his heat from where she stood barely twenty centimetres away from him. He blinked a few times at her question before giving her a little smile and pecking her lips, catching her completely off-guard. [break][break] Fuck.
When he pulled away she stared up at him with her bit ruby eyes, completely surprised. A little dusting of pink colored her pale cheeks as he said he was ready to fight, regardless of the illusion. She felt him release his mana in one wave that swept through the area, permeating through walls and moving with such strength that it made her hair flutter. Zaven Blake. The Captain of the Golden Dawn. [break][break] That bathroom that they talked in, once pristine in condition, looked old, unused in years and the metal was rusted. She could only imagine what was on the outside. She shivered unpleasantly before trying to steel herself, and failing at her partner’s next set of much welcome advances. Her eyes met his when he pressed against her, effectively making her back touch the old rotting wooden wall of the bathroom, before he kissed her with a confidence that made her shut her eyes and exhale against his lips. Bad ideas and curse words swirled through her head, but she couldn’t utter one as she kept kissing him, a little low moan escaping the back of her throat. [break][break]
Good god when they were done with this…she’d rip his clothes off. Well…not the cloak, she’d lay it gently down on the grass somewhere. Everything else…they’d need to go shopping afterwards. [break][break]
A horrible sound came from behind the pair as a hand broke through the rotting planks right beside Rosa’s head, barely missing her. It was a dangerous affair…the one they were having in this damn bathroom, and the ice witch huffed unhappily. She wanted to take the man then and there. But she had to wait because of these goddamn dominated humans. The beauty stepped back, pressing her back into Zaven as she took out her grimoire. [break][break]
“Winter’s Kiss!” She hissed unhappily as she cast her spell, making her magic book flip over a few pages and then grow a red the color of her hair. A large cone of dark ice shards left her lips, breaking through the rotting wooden walls and blasting, what seemed to be, two mindless human-like creatures as they froze over solidly. She could roughly make out about 8 more in her direct line of vision, screaming angrily about displeasing the master and murdering them both. Rosa held her spell and moved it along the whole wall of the cabin, blowing the bad wood away, giving the Magic Knight duo more visibility and space to move. And she did just that, dashing forwards as she gave both herself and Zaven a Senior rank shield by turning the flow of her Winter’s Kiss towards them for a few seconds. [break][break]
“You fuckers…”She growled as she straight up ran into a zombified Samuel. She glanced about the town, now a ruin of the illusion that was shown to them not too long ago. Fucking hell. What a ghost town. And now the damn puppets were surrounding her too. There was no way she could run. Her grimoire pages flipped over gently, before landing on a spell she didn’t get to use too often. Fortunately she’d shielded Zaven in case he got too close. And the spell gave him another shield anyways.[break][break]
“You’re RUINING my SEX!” Rosalia shouted, clearly genuinely annoyed about how bad she’d wanted to tackle her “fiancé” at that moment. “Sheer Cold!” She growled, releasing a blast of cold energy in a circular sphere 40 meters around her. It blasted back about seven more of the puppets, but Samuel had managed to hide behind one of his now frozen partners…and more seemed to be appearing, two of them jumping and tackling the ice witch down with black-gooey hands. She could feel the first shield she’d given herself crack. But right now, the horny witch only wanted a crack at one thing, one man not too far away from her. [break][break]

This AOE can be maintained for its affected area, repeatedly dealing damage to Rosalia's enemies if they don't move outside of its range.
It seemed as though the creatures, those twisted puppets of the daemon had taken instant offense as a way to try to take down the pair. After a brief moment in that dilapidated washroom where the two had shared a kiss..an embrace...those looks. Then when the illusion spell fell and the hand broke through the wood Rosalia stepped into action as Zaven’s consciousness came back into play she had already attacked, as well as shielding for him, he jumped into action, summoning up his grimoire he watched its pages open and he caught the spell he wanted, pulling out splintered wood and Summoning his attack spell. ”Fissure Blade!” He called out before throwing the shadow daggers with deadly precision at the puppets. He caught two square in the chest and watched as they crumpled like toys once struck. That made eleven dead now as the shield he had from Rosalia was broken due to her AoE attack. Then he saw the two pounce her and pin her to the ground...fuck these puppets. He flipped the pages as the shadows danced around his body before joining at his hands and creating gauntlets. ”Shadow Armament!” At the same time the Final Abyss armor activated as he sped toward Rosalia, grabbing the puppets by the throat before bringing them up and choke slamming them on the dilapidated wood that now impaled their bodies, he stood over Rosalia like a black knight, the long coat danced in the breeze. His armor looked foreign and his hands looked like large, shadowed stone gauntlets. Still with all the chaos and the feeling of the remaining nine enemies, including the puppet Samuel that brought them here, Zaven simply turned to Rosalia and would help her up, offering one of his hands. [break][break]
If she let him help her up he would then get into a fighting stance. ”I won’t ask you to run and hide this time...let’s finish this together...do not hold back on them...show them your strength!” He would say with confidence in his voice as he saw the puppets come into view...the church becoming like a giant evil beacon that was almost too much to even glance at.
Rosa’s was having a bit of a hard time fighting these two off of her. One? She could deal with, she could roll them over and punch them hard. But when there was two enemies pinning her down it was a real problem for the beauty. Just as they began cracking into Rosalia’s second senior rank mana defence spell, did she feel the weight lift off of her chest. As she looked up, a familiar attractive shadow-user stood over her body, holding the puppeteered beings by their throats before promptly ending them. [break][break] She fully expected him to charge ahead, tackle the enemy straight on. But he didn’t. No, he instead turned towards her, and she met those azure eyes, a beautiful contrast to the blue sky above them. Her icy exterior dropped suddenly as she saw him reach down towards her, offering her his gauntleted hand. There was something very intimate in that gesture, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. Was he just being a gentleman? [break][break] Rosalia placed her small, tender looking hand inside of his and let him pull her up gently, his scent filling the air once more as she came close to him for a bit before he turned back, ready to face down his enemies. [break][break] It was his words, however, that almost made time stop for her. No more asking her to run and hide. He wanted her to fight alongside him. He was showing trust, and as those words sank into the witch’s skull, a slow smile crept onto her face. Finally! Fucking progress! The Captain of the Golden Dawn was letting her do what she loved- working. He was letting her do her job, and he was telling her that she could do it. A little blush dusted her cheeks when he called her strong, but she ignored the sensation and shook her head, focusing on the fight ahead. [break][break] “Fuck yeah!” She grinned as her grimoire glowed that bright red light and her mana swirled around her arm and thigh. “Frostbite!” She spoke the name of her chosen spell as she cracked the first whip happily, leaving the second one around her thigh for good measure. These things were like dangerous lianas that Tarzan could swing on…while also beheading people in the process, and she loved them. “And once we’re done, I’m not holding back with you either!” Rosa announced, completely popping the top off of her cockiness as she swung her whip at the first twisted enemy that decided to try and tackle her. She wrapped it around him and, using the momentum and some mana, threw him into the puppet next to him. The witch the pulled the spell back and cracked the tip back to strike another enemy straight through the cheek, making an opening through the crazy puppets towards the church. [break][break] “Zaven, I can handle these guys and catch up to you if you go fuck up the big bad in the church.” She said, not really paying attention to what he’d done while she was concentrated on the enemies in front of her. The beauty trusted him fully. She knew he had her back. And she was just itching to freeze this whole place over. [break][break]

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
Allowing him to help her up put a determined smile on his face. The two of them now stood on equal footing and they were watching the enemies closing in, it was like the climactic scene in an adventure novel. The two were facing down odds that would likely lead to the death of one of them in the event of a tragic miscalculation or carelessness, but with Rosa and Zaven...there seemed to be an understanding of one another, in terms of their capabilities and mindset. She lashed out with her icy whips before feeling the mana surge within her as she announced that she would take care of these small fry, and Zaven should move ahead. Zaven knew better than to argue at this point...it was a fight to the finish, and the end goal was peace, and both mages would fight tooth and nail for that goal. ”Don’t let them get in too close, the only one to pin you to the ground should be me after all...my dearest fiance” He said with a teasing wink before noticing she had turned her attention elsewhere and this little playful banter of theirs was finally up. There was no use in keeping up the act, he just thought it would be fun to make her red since she did so with announcing why they were there in the first place. He ran towards the church, two puppets had followed him, but of course as they moved in for an attack Zaven cracked a smile and let them follow him into the church as he burst in through the fucked up old doors and into a place he did not suspect. [break][break]
Inside there was an old man...waiting on him with a look of terror on his face. Zaven dispatched the puppets with quick clenching of his fists on the puppets heads as he walked forward. ”It is useless to keep up the charade...you are either a puppet or the mastermind...so come off of that visage of a poor old man.” He said as he stepped closer and closer as the old man smiled wickedly at Zaven before dropping the illusion and sitting on a makeshift throne made of melted brass and twisted wood from the church. ”Tiamanicus is the name...and I would rather not just disappear from this world like my brother and sister...if you could just take your bitch and go...we can just treat this as an unfortunate accident and pretend it didn't happen...“ Tiamanicus spoke with a smooth tongue, he was not looking to fight, but something told Zaven that this place was dangerous. So he stopped there for the time being. ”Good words, I can at least tell you have a brain inside of that twisted skull of yours...it is too bad you area daemon...I will be taking that head now.” He said as reciprocated the wicked smile, activating the Final Abyss armor and charging the daemon, who with a flick of his wrists...activated his prepared spells. [break][break]
The two forces clashed as the silver spears shot at Zaven from all angles. However just before they touched Zaven, the speed burst given from his armor kicked in and he sped past and gave a mighty punch, like a missile being launched at an enemy, its payload was pain and anger. Zaven landed the hit, the daemon was unable to comprehend the speed of the mortal before being thrown through his makeshift throne and out of the church. ”That is for your brother’s and sisters doing unspeakable things to the citizens of clover.” He then moved again, this time he was truly a blur as Tiamanicus tried desperately to escape using an illusion...it was too bad that Zaven was properly trained in the use of illusion as well as he caught the daemon by its neck and slammed him to the ground before grabbing the damned things head with his gauntlet covered hands. He forced them into the mouth of the demon before a great struggle as the daemon begged for mercy. Zaven was atop the beast as it used its magic to stab Zaven over and over with silver spears. Zaven preferred the hands on approach...and with being stabbed into his back he did not wince once. ”And this...is for calling my friend a bitch..” He said before giving his muscles a great push as he removed the daemon’s head...or rather separated it from the jaw upwards. Finishing things with a single punch as it caved in the creature’s skull. Once he was done he stood up and began using the long coat to repair himself as he breathed heavily. Regaining his stamina was one thing, but he felt the bloodlust for a moment again...that voice at the back of his head telling him to fight more...to leave the woman behind and seek out the other daemons...this voice was yelling at Zaven. Yet the Shadow of Dawn just shook his head as he walked back to the church and out back towards Rosalia.
There was something heart-warming about Zaven Blake’s smile. It was gorgeous. The finest form of perfection. It wasn’t one that made her weak in the knees, but it was one that made her smile back. His confidence and care were infectious, and good god she just want to tackle him right there and then.
The unfortunate situation was that they were still in the middle of this mess. The daemon invasion…they had to go around fighting the rogue armies that spawned around the forsaken region and first and foremost, Rosalia Boreas was a workaholic. (Second and foremost, she loved sex, but sex had to wait in these horribly delightful circumstances). The Vice-Captain of the Black Bulls was glancing about at the circle of enemies, wondering which one would tackle her next, and while she was ready for them she definitely wasn’t ready for Zaven Blake’s cheeky comment. She felt her ears burn pink when he referred to her as his “dearest fiancée.” It was her fault for giving them these roles, and now he was taking his sweet sweet revenge on her. He had every right to, in all honesty. [break][break]
“I’ll keep you to it, darling fiancé.” She responded with a little half-smile as her partner zoomed ahead of her towards the church, where the stench of daemon was coming from. Two of the other puppets followed him, leaving her with about four to take care of. While the six had her nervous, she definitely felt a lot more comfortable with the current mess of enemies before her. Samuel was grinning at her in a way that made her stomach churn in a way that made her reconsider her giving these guys the easy way out. They’d freeze to death. [break][break]
The enemy humanoids didn’t really wait for the beauty to pick her magic however, and quickly started jumping her one by one, in response to which Rosalia grabbed her second whip from around her thigh. She took hold of it in her left hand and swung it at the first enemy that attempted to grapple her, before using the second one to wrap around the remains of a chimney and pull herself on top of the rotten house. The witch felt the tar claws of one of the puppets crack through her mana shield, and winced, but managed to pull herself to the top of the building successfully. Her grimoire glowed a bright crimson red as she turned to face the enemies that stared at her angrily. [break][break]
“Fuck you.” She spat coldly, before murmuring “Sheer Cold,” under her breath, and unleashing another strong area of effect wave of shadowy ice magic, while giving her a nice shield. Frost covered the remaining enemies, freezing them till their blood moved no longer. Rosalia jumped down from the house she’d found to be her refuge as it crumbled down from the impact of her spell, and sighed, dusting herself off. She was gonna have a bruise on her thigh in the morning. And not the kind of bruise she liked. [break][break]
The red-head was about to go off to find Zaven, only to see him already exiting the church. She crossed one arm over the other and gave him a little smirk. [break][break]
“Well hello there tall dark and handsome~” Rosalia teased as she faced him and disabled all of her remaining spells, so as to not waste mana. If he came up to her, she’d wrap her arms around his neck and lay a long kiss on his lips. It was that simple with them when they weren’t in public. And even when they were…She recalled the situation with Lydia. Even when they were, the Blake had no issue expressing his interest in the Black Bull witch. [break][break]
They both smelled like corrupt magic, and blood, and god could they use a shower bad. When she pulled away, she’d crinkle her nose and giggle. “I want you…but I also want a bath…like now.” Nobody said they couldn’t do both…[break][break]
“There must be some random village near here where we could rent a room at a motel or tavern.” Rosa said hopefully. She was used to Kikka, Rague and Sosshi, but this place wasn’t particularly close to any of the larger cities in the region. Her fingers knit into his black hair as she admired his features with her ruby eyes. She’d hold onto him for a bit more, enjoying his heat. It was usually the one feature that attracted her the most in a man- how much body heat they could produce. It helped regulate her own, naturally cooler, body. Zaven was tied for first on her list of “warm bodies.”[break][break]
“The place should also definitely have alcohol…and soundproof walls. But a shower is the priority.” Her other hand wandered down the man’s body as she leaned in and gave him another kiss. Rosalia wanted him bad. It all depended on what he wanted to do. She didn’t know how well he knew this specific region of the Clover Kingdom and if there was a proper shot for them not to sleep out in the open tonight. Hell, honestly she’d be fucking down for a hot spring. [break][break]

[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Stepping out of the church he did not feel the presence of the puppets anymore, then again...why would he, Rosalia was very capable and most importantly...she was strong willed. There would not be anything in this life that she could not achieve if she put her mind to it...he knew few women that could do such a thing. He was met by Rosalia who called him tall, dark, and handsome. Which he chuckled to himself quietly as he thought himself to be quite fair skinned to be honest, but he was not one to argue with her when it came to things like this...being strong willed also meant she had the attitude and nerve to back it up...whatever IT was. Of course, the Shadow of Dawn walked up to her as he had no other place to go and as the illusion faded the landscape turned bright as the canopy illusion had long since faded and they saw each other in post battle mode. The kiss was shared between the two of them, as if a stress reliever for the pair, and not long after it ended...she fired back with a sentence that would make any man blush...including that fucking hard head Malcolm Watanabe… All Zaven could do would be to smile at her and nod. ”as much as I would love to find a place to rest with you...I think our job keeps getting in the way at places we stop at. However, I think we can manage it if it’s somewhere not near a leyline.” He said with a happy laugh as he summoned Typhon. [break][break]
The trip was a short one to a sparsely populated village, they didn’t have an inn, but they did have a small house they were able to stay at for the night. Food and drink were also included as Zaven happily paid the yul for the night. The two would share a house once more as the night seemed much...shorter than anticipated...but time does indeed fly when you are having fun...or so the old saying goes that is.
