Saki casually stepped down the sandy beach path that led out towards the ocean at a relaxed pace, magic knight cloak denoting her squad and rank wrapped around her waist. The mission was to kick some crab ass, as apparently these things had begun to raid the town for its valuables and food...which was a pretty funny mental image, if she was being honest. The idea of a bunch of pirate- no, ninja pirate crabs just infiltrating from the beach and stealing riches and food and just vanishing into the deep was a hilarious image. Better still was the fact it was happening to a stuck up noble town like Raque. Bastards deserved it. That crabs were the ones to enact that justice was a truly ironic twist of events.
Still, she was a knight and it was either this mission or a couple of lame walks in the park, so here she was. 'Sides, there were likely kids caught in the crossfire and that just wasn't cool. She strolled up to the edge of the beach where some of the villagers she questioned about the event had said the crabs came out of, keeping the sun out of her eyes with a hand as she checked out the time of day it was. Feeling she still had a little bit of time to wait before the crab monster...things came out, she just decided to sit down on the beach with her grimoire out and relaxed a bit, soaking in the midday sun as she did so. Not for the first time in the last couple of months, she decided to reflect a bit on her life.
It'd been three months since the shattering and she was still reeling from the new memories and what they meant. She felt split between two different people, with memories of being a rogue well established in the Aries Garse region and memories of being a magic knight looking out for her now nonexistent family. Not for the first time, she examined her Magic Knight cloak again, staring at it intently as if trying to make it spill it's secrets. Where did she go from here? She needed to get out of that building and so she went on a mission...but what about after that? Was she still content with being a Magic Knight, even though everything she had fought for was gone?
Or did she try and build up her reputation in the shadows from the beginning, likely dodging all manner of new, deadlier rogues and their hungry ambitions? It wasn't like she didn't know how to play the game...but should she? She sat on that question a little longer as she waited for something to happen...

It was a scorcher out on this day; way too hot for a normal person. It was quite the surprise that so many had shown up on the beach this day. Between the heat and the recent events that had been going on Kreig would wonder why anyone would want to be on the beach at all. Half crabtonian men taking food and valuables is absurd in thought alone. It was surely a sight that Kreig didn't want to see first hand. Unfortunately for him, luck wasn't in his favor today. He had been placed on a mission to defend and force these creatures back to where they had come from.
Kreig had made his way upon the sandy beach of Raque's bay. It was at the moment what had seemed as the norm for a typical day at the beach. People from all over royal and noble had gathered to play beach ball, swim, and flaunt off magical abilities. Ironic with all of the magical abilities of these people anyone had the courage to stand up to these crabtonians. That there is exactly what separated the magic knights from the basic civilian with magical abilities.
So far all things were good and it seemed as if there was no sightings of any crab-like creatures that stalking the beach. This was noted and for good reason it gave Kreig a the time and reason to relax and enjoy the weather. Though the blistering heat wasn't his favorite, it wasn't very often that he had the chance to kick back and relax. His knightly duties would always come into play anytime he thought he had the chance to do so. Kreig too this opportunity to sit and the sand and observe his surrounding and look for any suspicious activity. Wait, am I supposed to be on his mission with someone else. Seems like this wouldn't be a job or just one knight. He thought to himself during this observation.
It was about an hour later before anything of suspicion had come about. Like an ARMY found crabtonians side by side in line would heads would appears from beneath the ocean waters. Suddenly you would hear a loud rant. My baby! My baby! Someone, anyone please help! A random civilian in distress pointing into the ocean at the four figures approaching. They were honestly too close to her teenage child who had not the ability to defend herself from them. This would cause the attentions of everyone around to take noticed at what was going on and what was due to happen. Everyone that saw the creatures making their way onto the sands started to scream and panic. Like a stampede they all had began to run one another over in attempt to flee half of them leaving their possessions for the taking.
In the midst of this thunderous herd Kreig would notice one person who had not yet taken a fearful step backward. As he examined her he realized that across her waist their was Magic Knight's cloak hanging from it. Delighted as he may be, he still had second thoughts on just criminally insane she had to be. To stand fearless in the midst of all the things that were going on she must be strong. Even so Kreig knew of his duties and were willing to perform to the best of his abilities. He wasn't in his cloak because he wanted to blend in Kreig stood to prepare for combat.
It wasn't all that long before the action started; Saki had found that out from the cries of a civvie moaning about 'her baby'. Wondering what the damn racket was, Saki found the brat in the midst of the crab monsters- four of them a little bit of a distance away to her left approaching the teen too stupid to start running. From her flank to the right, much closer, was another batch of four slowly making their way out of the water, those ones making a beeline towards the ruckus; likely on their way to take the possessions of the idiots who stampeded out of there. Saki didn't even notice them really; what kind of idiot made their way to the beach when it was known that crab monsters were on the loose?
Rolling her neck as she primed herself for combat, Saki smiled. This was what she had come here to do. It's why she chose a combat mission- she didn't have to think about shit. Just fight to her hearts content. What better way to fight through the weird emotions and memories she had been currently plagued with? "All right, you fuckers." The woman growled, flexing her fists as sparks of lightning coursed through them. "Time to make crab stew!" She'd shout, her grimoire floating out in front of her as she shouted her spells into existence.
"Blitz Drive, Strike Impulse II, Flow Defense!" She cried, mana turning to crackling lightning as it coursed around her hands and feet, the skin around her body glowing brightly with energy lines. She got herself set in a runners take off, eying down the four in front of her before taking off in a blaze of lightning, running at a speed of about 20 meters per second. It didn't take her long at all to be on top of the crab creatures, the things only having just hit sand before Saki slammed into the group.
The force of Saki's blows were painful, slamming into one of the creatures with enough force to crack the shell and knock it back into the water, before jutting her leg out and kicking another a good distance to the right, away from both her and the relative position of the boy in the water. It was then that she actually noticed somebody else on the beach; somebody who stayed apart from the stampede. "Yo, idiot! Get the kid and leave!" She shouted back over to him. It was likely that the new guy was just a civvie and that she was stupid for getting him into danger, but maybe he could make it to the kid and get out off the beach so she could focus entirely on letting go.
//Enemy Movement//
The group of four crabs near Krieg would begin to make their way towards the boy in the water, intending to take the kid underwater... or rather that really shiny bit of metal around his neck, not really caring about the boy, who would be dragged down and drowned with it. It would be two who would do this, as the other two were far more interested in looking for food and shiny bits from the people who ran away, making their way onto the beach. One of those two would notice the shiny book in Krieg's hand and would make it's way to him at a speed of about 10 meters per second.
The group over on Saki's end, however, had more pressing matters. She was fast- as fast as the crabs when they were in the water, even. Two of them had been blasted back, taking down half of their health. Spooked, one of the crabs would retreat back into the water as it looked at the girl with beady eyes, looking for an opening. The last one would attack her, swinging a giant meaty pincer like a hammer to no avail as it hit uselessly against her physical reinforcement magic.
