Three arch-daemons had done a strategic well coordinated attack on three separate areas within the Clover Kingdom. The attack on the Royal Capital was the first to be quashed by magic knights and civilians alike. It didn't take a genius to realise attacking a place that had two well renowned magic knight squads as well as where the wizard king resided was going to be a bad idea, still, they had balls to attempt it. The shadow archdaemon shook his head as the saying go big or go home normally came to mind but in his mind it had always been a case that their eyes had been to big for their stomach and so his brother had paid the price for his foolish pride with his life. The second attack that was pushed back was Raque, his sister attempted to use trickery in the attempts to destroy the knights and civilians from within but her foolishness was that she had played the victim first hand without understanding the mind of mortals or how they usually reacted to such traumas or threats, so they had slowly become suspicious and it had came to be her ultimate downfall, however, the damage had been done as Raque was still dealing with almost becoming a second atlantis thanks to most of the town being submerged in water. The third and final place that had been attacked was the one shadow archdaemon himself now resided within, the town of Kikka, the only one that had successfully fallen under daemon control and that added to his own pride and ego. All three places had magic knight squads base of operations located within them so it wasn't that he had an advantage in that regard. No, it was plain and simple unlike the other two he had played the long game from afar using his strengths to make his enemy become the villain. He was playing four dimensional chess when they were still playing tic-tac-toe. He had made them attack children, had their leader make a deal with him which as she hadn't been clear with the counter he had several loopholes he could take advantage of, had them help torture another, blow up areas within the town, burn buildings, attack corpses and at the end of the day it was all for nothing... the town had still fallen...
After a few long and hard day's they finally decided to wise up and split up but it took an ultimatum to make them do so. He had given them a single day to destroy his wells and the three of them or he was going to blow up Kikka because he was getting bored. In the end they had manage only to destroy a single well creating a crater that would be perfect for a swimming pool or a pond to made from in the time it had taken him to dispose of the vice-captain that had stood against him. He hadn't caught her name and at the end of the day he was glad. It was true she had given him a good fight but at the same time she was still weak and hadn't managed to make him really break out in a sweat. Once this fight had been over he notified his children to tell the people whom they would likely be facing the news and gave them orders to give them safe passage from Kikka so opponents worth their time would come. Ito had been sat at the well when he had been given the news having a conversation with Genesis, Hans and Seren. He got his answers, a compliment on his footwear oddly enough and asked the question on how he could be killed. The answer from the red-headed assassin was meet with a sass that made his point very clear, she wasn't the only one in existence fighting for survival and so should quit with the pity party. Charles and Valo had came across Ito's twin sister within the quiet eeriness of the Purple Orca's headquarters and had asked them to leave as, as it stood they would be no match for her and after a few moments they had agreed. She promised to stay within the headquarters for their return and even that she would deactivate her traps allowing them safer passage though she did admit she couldn't say anything about her brother doing the same. She had intended to keep her promise but had appeared not to long after they approached the first well they were to destroy before returning to her if not going to the fifth well. They had been in the mists of battle but her approach caused the mana beasts to back away almost like obedient pets. She had notified them of the goings on and allowed them to leave without another word.
Sven had marked Artemis's wrist the moment the deal had been approved and his bracelet placed upon her wrist, it was something that would never be able to be removed regardless of how strong the cleansing spell she may try. She had made a deal with a daemon and that leaves a mark on a person in all senses of the meaning. Unlike the others who had been given safe passage to the outskirts of Kikka, Sven had thrown the body of the vice-captain through a portal right in front of the Wizard King with a short note.
The note read:
I found myself in the mists of a daemon invasion. I found other knights and attempted to take control of the situation by the time I found the group that would help me they had attacked six children and one other civilian. We rushed the children to the hospital where I made a deal with the daemon in question, I didn't word what I wanted well within our negotiations and so there were many loopholes that could clearly be taken advantage of. Still I fought against this evil with everything I had but it wasn't enough, the town of Kikka still fell. The daemon leader took pity on me and let me live with my shame while those who were helping in the defence of the city had been allowed safe passage from the city.
Sven had indeed wrote it as if it had been Artemis herself that had written the note. He had made sure to let it be known what had happened and given context to the deal that had been struck and so the marking now on her left wrist, this was what his honour called for after all. Also he was actually quite surprised that the vice-captain had indeed accepted his deal as far as he knew most if not all magic knights would never do such a heinous act unless it could save the kingdom as a whole not just over six children so he was quite interested to find out the aftermath of that. He believed that perhaps one of the next group of toy soldiers that would enter Kikka would be able to answer that question for him, after all he hadn't killed the woman which was unusual in itself but what was the point of killing someone who has been knocked out? They were a warrior and so deserved a warrior's death in his mind and that wasn't being killed while lying on the floor unconscious while bleeding out.
Time had went by and the original group had given their reports to their captains and the Wizard King himself, letting them all know what they had been through and what they had experienced. Days changed to weeks and weeks to months, all the while Sven and his children kept control of Kikka while battle plans and a request for help was given to all those who would listen. The current Wizard King, Jagen Lavender himself had requested volunteers to help free Kikka from the darkness from which it now it found itself under. He told all potential applicants that it would be dangerous and there was a real threat to their psyche and lives, soon fourteen individuals three of which who had been in Kikka when this originally happened had been selected and a plan of attack written up.
Story:
Half a year has passed since Kikka fell under Sven's influence and finally volunteers have been picked on their skills, merit and potential and the plan of action given to them. They are to be split into two teams of seven, the first team would be dealing with the arch-daemon himself while group two would be dealing with his offspring and both teams would need to destroy two of the four remaining wells each. Jagen Lavender has also warned that in the last two months while they had been getting the strategy together the enemy was likely growing stronger, had changed locations of wells and had been taking precautions for something like this to happen. He also warned to take precautions when it came to illusions and to not trust your senses completely as it would be unclear right off the bat whether it was the real thing or not. As you get closer to Kikka it is starting to get noticeably darker, Sven has been expanding at a steady rate past the city limits but there has been no reports of attacks happening or this actually happening. This either means there have been no villages or settlements near by or there have been and they've either been killed or been assimilated into Sven's servitude. As you get to the city limits you easily notice your sight is now halved, if you use darkness/void/shadow elements your eyesight is only reduced by 25% due to your natural affinity to your element and the understanding of how it works due to training with it. The north gate is wide open as if Sven was expecting you on this day and welcoming you into the town for a new game.
GM Notes:
- Where this is a death enabled thread I will not be going out my way to kill characters, the only way this will happen is if silly actions take place on the players side. - Actions have consequences not only for you but potentially whatever organisation you belong to so think before acting. - Each round will generally last 3 - 4 days, extensions can be requested but they must come a little in advance and with a decent reason or they will be denied. - You are not locked in to anything until your first post within your thread. - The event will run on three strikes in regards to skipping rounds. First time will be a verbal warning and perhaps a trap being set off, second time I am taking something from you and will set a trap off, third time you will either be removed or killed depending on the reasons for the skips. - Withdrawing once the event is in full swing without a decent reason will result in your character dying, with a good reason you will be fine and have reduced rewards at the end. - Any nerfing or buffing of stats/abilities via spell/item etc are not permanent unless otherwise stated and will end at the end of the thread. - You might find the your enemy in the other thread and vice-versa so might be a good idea to keep an eye on both, I will notify both teams if anything important has happened and I know some of you have communication spells to keep in touch with the other group so that will help too.

❝We are all broken.❞
[attr="class","verenascroll"] Contrary to popular belief in these circumstances, Verena was not a fool. It was, however, foolish to be here in this moment, of course. The darkness was so thick it was as if the Reinsberg had just lost half of her vision. To say nothing of various traps that she would unquestionably be, underprepared for. That wasn't getting into the archdemons that had now occupied Kikka, and likely various creations and constructs of their own. There were likely even more things that she hadn't accounted for in wait as well, though she at least knew to expect the unexpected.[break][break]
No, the only child of a now disgraced family knew reasons for being here might have bee foolish, but she wasn't here thinking she could change anything on her own, to begin with. Verena knew even with all the effort and training she had put in she was most definitely would not change anything alone. In other words, to get separated from the group was tantamount to suicide. Despite this, she had to help. While Verena didn't believe that the Magic Knights would just be abandoning citizens in this time, she also knew that an upcoming battle such as this one would likely result in major destruction. Not even she could blame them if they weren't able to prioritize the safety of the citizens, as until the daemons were defeated, no one's safety could be guaranteed.[break][break]
But now that she was here, she wondered if the very thing she set out to do was even possible. This darkness was practically suffocating. This was bad; it was far worse than anything she could have imagined. It made the importance of sticking close to others that much more important for someone as weak as she was. But that also meant having to stick close to the fighting, where she'd both be useless, and be unable to evacuate anyone who might have still been trapped. "What... am I supposed to do then?" Verena asked herself.[break][break]
Verena tightly gripped her left arm, clenching it tightly. Her delicate hands wrapped around a part of her long-sleeved outfit, worn under her large white coat. She hadn't bothered putting her hair into twin tails, nor had she taken the time to put all of into a ponytail. After all, there was no reason to--this wasn't an event to dress up for. Based on reports she'd heard, she knew to expect it to be dark in Kikka (though it went beyond what she had been prepared to deal with), and likely cold as a result, so she dressed appropriately. Her grimoire was closely fastened to a holster around her waist like a belt. With what little she had, she managed to prepare somewhat, even if it wouldn't matter much in the grand scheme of things.[break][break]
Verena thought back to the six months that led up to this day. She'd done a lot of training to at least try to get some practical training in regards to survival, and how to use her Magic against opponents that would likely end up taking her life. To that end, she finally ended up becoming confident enough to go through official channels, landing here at this moment. Though now that she was actually here, witnessing it first hand, the brunette couldn't help but now wonder a very simple question.[break][break]
"Did I make a mistake?"[break][break]
Of the six others within this group, she recognized three others. Rosalia Boreas, Vice-Captain of the Black Bulls. She'd heard that she was an incredibly powerful mage, commanding the authority of ice with grace in equal measure to brutality when it called for it. She could be temperamental but was committed to the cause. Verena wasn't quite sure what she thought of her, however. She'd heard some ... other things about her in her travels recently. She had about the same opinion of her as other Magic Knights, that they were to be distrusted, but because of her meeting with him, Verena was at least willing to be wrong. Though none of her personal feelings and fears mattered right now as it was.[break][break]
Zaven Blake, Captain of the Golden Dawn. While she didn't know too much about him as a person, his exploits spoke for themself. Cyrus had also told her awhile ago that the Captain was training him so that he could become Vice-Captain of the Golden Dawn, so the man likely shared Cyrus' sentiments and ambitions. She at least felt he could be trusted.[break][break]
And lastly, there was Ardere Kasai. There was no need to rummage through her thoughts about him. Everything she heard about him, seeing him with her own eyes now, must have been true. It was truly a relief to her, though currently her own worries on the matter far outweighed that bit of relief.[break][break]
The success of everything depended on their survival. It was hard to imagine any of them dying or being killed in this situation, but the Reinsberg heir knew better than to believe any of them were truly invincible, as capable as they were.[break][break]
Her crimson eyes gazed over to the others within this group. Another of the Black Bulls, a Purple Orca, and one unaffiliated to the Magic Knights.[break][break]
Wait. A Purple Orca? That one looked familiar. Red hair, brown eyes. That confident aura... "Lilith?" Verena asked, showing the first signs of existing to the group thus far. "...Lilith Stone, right?" She was surrounded by powerful mages. That at least would make it somehwat more comforting, but the reality was...[break][break]
She was worried about the most before coming here: being surrounded by Magic Knights. She'd need to get over that for the time being, forcing herself to put on a brave face despite the fact her body was slightly trembling now that she realized the situation she was in.[break][break]
Verena decided to simply obey orders, for the time being, knowing the circumstances required for a clear leader to take charge. There were three fully capable of that, far more than her, and she wasn't sure if formalities truly mattered. She truthfully had no idea where to even begin. Introductions? Planning? She didn't want to risk making a fool of herself in front of three highly distinguished Magic Knights. It'd be best to see how they all suggested doing things for the time being as she readied her grimoire, in case of any surprise attacks.[break][break]
...not that she'd be able to really see any surprise attacks that well to begin with.

[attr="class","ardereescroll"]The damage dealt across the three invasion in Clover had proven catastrophic in numerous ways. Ardere himself had been hospitalized for three weeks even though he defeated the Daemon known as Malacath. His wounds and inexperience in utilizing the spirit dive ability had proven costly, especially in regards to his physical condition. For weeks he had lay there, bed-ridden unable to do anything other than watch as the others rebuilt. Across those weeks and well beyond that, a rage had festered. He knew that in the previous weeks Raque had been saved yet Kikka still remained shrouded in darkness. The mere idea that a town as wondrous and peaceful as Kikka dwelled in darkness was enough to send anger surging through his veins like a flame--a flame that kept his spirit alive. [break][break] In that time the fire mage spent many hours attempting to gain control of the spiritual power bestowed upon him. He had come far, but he was not yet a master. Not once since the battle with Malacath had Salamander taken physical form, even during training. The blazing dragon spirit lay dormant inside of his master, waiting for the right moment to appear. After all of these weeks, he finally felt ready. The dragon lurking in his heart was clawing to get out, ready to breathe flame and justice upon the daemon in Kikka. Fortunately Ardere had been among the first to volunteer, which was not unexpected. Even now as he stood with the group, his right side still bandaged up, the Captain stood with fire filled eyes. There was a determination inside him that had finally blossomed after all of these years--the true apex of a Crimson Lion. [break][break] The warmth inside his body flickered, beckoning to be free. I'm glad you finally think I'm ready, friend. We have work to do. Today is the day. A powerful smile crossed his pale lips as the red aura he possessed began to shimmer across his muscular form and Salamander appeared behind him as a dragon barely shorter than he was. He was not alone today. Allies stood by him as they prepared to take back this beacon of peace and prosperity within the Kingdom of Clover. As the titan of a man stood proud and tall, a deep breath exhaled from his maw. It's okay to be scared. He said to the group of mages. But you don't let that fear control you--you use it. Acknowledge your fears rather than avoid them, and in that you will find strength you didn't know you had. This goes for even me. It was true. A fear welled up deep in his spine enough to sent shivers down the spine of any seasoned warriors. But this was not something he would succumb to, but rather let it fuel his actions here. [break][break] Do your best to stay together, but if you are separated; don't rely on your eyes. Your eyes will only deceive you. Follow your heart and your soul. Or just utilize your magic sensory if you can. Giving a wink to the others, he knew he was known as perhaps the most experienced Ki user in The Order. But even then, he was not in for a cake walk. This was perhaps the most challenging mission of the senses they had yet to experience. He had to rely on his ki and his allies. Zaven and the others were reliable, but this daemon held a darkness that reminded him of his childhood fears. Shadows on the wall, demons in the night--among other things. Seems they left the door open for us. Shall we, Zaven? He said in reference to the open gate, but he allowed his companion of the Golden Dawn to give his input. The man was perhaps one of his most trusted friends after all, even after all the strife they suffered together. They were a duo who had a stake hear, and they along with the other group would not fail. It wasn't in their blood.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] The trip to kill the Daemon royalty...a fucking great time that was...of course the Shadow of Dawn had heard of the three separate invasions, he left during one at the capital and his Vice Captain was in Raque. He was still not happy about that, but he knew that Yuurei Krane and Ardere were there...two captains could defend the capital, but someone needed to go to the other locations...and it just so happened that the Vice Captain of the Black Bulls, Rosalia Boreas accompanied him on that adventure under the orders of Captain of that same squad, Malcolm Watanabe. Together they slayed many evils and saw horrific acts as well, but now a summons from Jaegan, the Wizard King, has brought him here. Zaven had arrived with Hinota and Vulkan with the help of Elanor of course, the three of them were given different assignments as to what they were going to be doing. No words were needed for Vulkan though he did look at his brother and gave him a nod of confirmation...he knew that the Lava mage would look after his group as Zaven would his. He did not offer any heavy words to her, but he did look at her and smile. ”Remember to stick to what you know and to pay attention to your surroundings...the goal is survival amongst all the others…” He gave her a thumbs up before seeing Ardere show up, as well as Charles, Rosalia, and a few others...even a member of his family...the players of this story had all shown up. [break][break]
Smelling the smoke coming from the town he was reminded of how Hage village was subjugated...how the reports of Raque told him that this was not some normal takeover. The Shadow of Dawn sighed as he looked over the cast of this little play, he was wearing his Long coat, the mantle of the Golden Dawn was now draped over it in a fashion similar to how generals dressed for a major confrontation, simply put...he looked fit for war, his azure eyes ablaze and scanning the daemon town of Kikka, his hair pulled back, a grim, yet determined smile on his face, and his aura shining like a black beacon on the horizon of the hellish landscape that was Kikka...he was at home in this environment, it felt like home, but he did not tell anyone...no this was something he was born and bred for...to be a tool for the kingdom of Clover, and today he was in his element. Of course he was also armed with that long coat, but he also had his other armor, hidden away, in a necklace so it can be used whenever he poured mana into it, the Final Abyss had helped him out of a number of situations before...he hoped it would come in handy here. He did not bring his axe as he was still unsure of how it would work in this situation, he hoped that his wits would be enough to get them through this. Ardere said a few words, some sentiment was enough to get the people through this he was sure...but he was not the one to give them hope...he was not there to deliver their parties hope...he was there to remove the head from the daemon scourge that had taken hold of this town. Then that grim smile brightened as Ardere addressed Zaven directly. After he made an acknowledgement to the ones in their party he turned back to Ardere. ”I’ve been ready to deliver a message to this place for a while...It is good you asked, I thought I was going to be going in alone.” Zaven stretched and began to walk towards the town, pulling his grimoire out already as he reached out with his sensory to find the fucking daemon.

Despite the fact he had left the Silver Eagles soon after joining for reasons he didn’t want to divulge Sol did keep his ears to the ground for what was going on in the clover kingdom since it was his home and he wanted to defend it. he had heard about what had happened in Kikka Raque and the Royal Capital and he was stunned to know there were foes bold enough to make such an attempt. The news had fueled the red eyed man to train harder and get better so he could contribute more to the kingdom and perhaps find a better squad for himself in the magic knights. When he had head that the wizard king was asking for volunteers to go back to Kikka Sol had done so without hesitation, the young man knew that this was dangerous beyond measure but he also knew that they couldn’t just leave the town under deamon rule. Now here he was heading towards the currently controlled Kikka one of many selected to free the town from the darkness controlling it. Sol was currently in his more battle ready apparel with black combat boots black pants and a black Chinese sleeveless shirt on though he also added a black jacket to the mix as well for some added warmth since he had no clue how cold it was going to be there.
With his Grimoire Strapped to right hip and a sheathed Katana on his left side the red eyed man approached his team and looked at them. Other then himself he saw one like himself who was not a member of the magic knights, he bowed respectfully since not only was he part of this team but two very highly respected captains of the magic knights were before him. It was then that Ardere said that it was ok for them to be afraid but not to let it control then and that by facing them they would gain strength they didn’t know they had, at that Sol saw his right hand shaking a bit something he didn’t even realize but he quickly tightened it into a fist before he took a deep breath before exhaling and his hands calmed as his eyes gained a look of focus and resolve. Sol decided not to voice his opinions at current since he knew that these captains and high level knights most likely knew better then him and he wasent about to be disrespectful and question them. He followed the group his right hand always close to his Grimoire or ready to unsheathe his blade at a moments notice. One question did rattle around in his brain non stop and he decided to ask one of the two captains.”Captain Ardere Sir any idea what kind of forces should we expect inside?” he asked, he knew the odds were stacked against them but any little information would help. Glancing at his Katana for a moment Sol was glad to have a weapon this time unlike his last excursion with the Silver Eagles he had been unarmed and it had been a very nasty mistake one he wouldn’t make again.
Kikka. [break][break] Rosalia sighed as she stared at her reflection in the mirror. Her fit body was adorned with the heavy armor she wore when she was fighting Malcolm months ago. It was her go-to when it came down to important fights. Her Captain was a powerful, dangerous man, a beast on the battlefield with a lot of experience…yet the Wizard King had him stay behind and defend the Forsaken Region. His Vice-Captain was picked instead alongside Chisana, and she had no qualms about it. In fact, she felt complimented and hoped her friend did too. The Bulls had two members chosen to deal with the threat and it brought a little grin to her lips.
Perhaps her hard work with Zaven, taking down rogue armies of daemons around the Kingdom had made a difference? Or had Malcolm put in a good word?
The ice witch fastened her battle-veil onto her head, making sure it kept her hip-length crimson hair back, while still making her look like the supermodel that she, indeed, was. If this would be her last day, she wanted to look her best. The beauty would easily give her life for the country. It was why she was a Magic Knight. She clipped her Black Bulls mantle onto her shoulder pads and pursed her lips at the golden detailing on her armor. The mage had given it to Luigi to fix after her Vice-Captain fight, but she never expected the gorgeous extras. [break][break] “Welp, here we go.” The beauty muttered and glanced back at the small ball of white fur cuddled into the side of the bed she’d gotten in the Royal Capital. The ball moved as a pair of fire-red eyes looked at the beauty. [break][break] “You’re surprisingly calm about this…” Meseth grumbled out as he leaned down to lick his paw. The spirit of ice was unimpressed to a level that no-longer surprised his owner. He jumped off of the bed and flew next to her easily. [break][break] “The pot calling the kettle black darling…” Rosalia chuckled at her little ally before fastening her grimoire onto her thigh. “And I’ve been to wars before. So I’m not as nervous this time around.” [break][break] Meseth remained quiet. The spirit understood, but couldn’t be bothered to offer words of encouragement. He wished that he could just stay home and sleep the day away…maybe find a fish or a bird to eat off of the forest and then sleep more. For him, that was ideal. But he also comprehended that in order for his existence in this world to remain possible, he needed to have a mistress. He watched the red-head quietly as she made sure everything was fastened properly. And this one, despite some questionable habits, was definitely better than some of the previous crazy witches that he’d guided. She let him sleep and didn’t ask him 500 questions, at least. He liked the respect. [break][break] Rosalia walked out of her room and headed to the meeting spot on broom. She didn’t know what to expect upon nearing Kikka, but the dark aura that suddenly grew in the air as she neared was…it was a lot. Like a building pressure that held her down. In fact, the beauty found herself squinting as she landed in front of the town. A few familiar faces were in sight, as well as two magic signatures that made her smile…but Kikka’s largely dwarfed the attention that anyone else attracted. It made her crack a smile. Sven was clearly a showman if he could manage something like this: gates open, ready and waiting, even baiting…She’d have to be careful. Plus, she owed him a visit in the name of her friend and Black Bull member Charles. The boy was a mess when he had come back from Kikka…and her motherly instincts had kicked in. The mage wanted to protect the boy from the daemons to the best of her ability while he recovered…and maybe inflict some sweet, sweet payback. Meseth definitely wouldn’t mind a fight either. [break][break] Her eyes quickly travelled and looked for the two males whose magical signatures…and another one? Her eyebrows shot up in surprise…Lilith? A pleasant new discovery was the survival of the fellow red-head from the shattering. She’d give the other woman a little wave before shooting Zaven and Chisana both a smile. Two people that she cared for, one whom she’d trust with her back any day. [break][break] Her head, however, snapped in the direction of one of the only Captains that she’d never had any proper interactions with- Ardere Kisai. The man was…about as large as Malcolm, but very different in aesthetics and energy. In fact, somewhere in the back of her mind she found that due to their personalities, the two wouldn’t get along at all. Meseth thought that he’d pay to see that fight. [break][break] The Crimson Lion spoke of fear, encouraging them not to succumb to it, and then advised them to stick together and not rely on what we see. It was a good reminder of Sven’s powerful illusions. The beauty gave the man a nod, before watching him pull Zaven over before she could. Perhaps it was for the better. The two would pose a much better thread together and were friends for much longer than she’d been in the picture. It made her glance away at the others. Rosalia wasn’t a shy person, and had no issues with her confidence. She instead gave a wink at the long brown-haired civilian that she caught standing a bit further away from the knights. [break][break] “You alright?” Her voice was silky, almost airy, it carried in the dark atmosphere, the way her warm gaze did. She could see another, black-haired crimson lion seemingly stressed at the circumstances. For some of these people…this would be their first war. It made sense. She’d grown a lot more comfortable with the concept after the Diamond incident and then the rogue daemon battles with Zaven. "It'll be fine, you're here with some of the best." She wasn't talking about herself. [break][break] The beauty pulled out Nurvureem’s Blessing as she dragged her gaze back to the Captain of the Golden, giving him a little encouraging smile if he spared her a glance. She slipped the clawed gloves and watched as they tightened around her hands, like a second skin. [break][break] “It’s time we get some revenge on this daemon for the mental damage he did to Charles…” A sudden wolfish grin took her lips as she turned to the only other person she trusted to some extent in this party. Her mana flared up a little, sending a coolness in the air that most would find pleasant or relaxing. She was ready whenever the other were. [break][break]

[attr="class","lillytext"] It seemed it was finally time to free Kikka from the deamons control. Lillith had of course been one of the first mages to volunteer to free the town. After all it was more personal for her than most other mages Kikka after all the gemstone mages home. Well she wasn't exactly born there but she was a member of the purple Orcas who's sqaud base was there and where she had been living for the past few years. So while she might not have been born in the town it was still very much her home now. She was out on a mission when the first attack on Kikka happened otherwise she would have been there to defend her base. However it most likely wouldn't have helped to much after all the deamon here had taken out one of the strongest mages in the kingdom. Lilly was very much not one of the strongest mages in the kingdom but she could still help in her own way. [break][break] She was in her normal outfit which had built in armor her hair was pulled up in a pony tail to keep it out of her face. She of course had her daggers and grimoire at her side. If the rumors were true then Lilliths daggers would be a huge help for the brown eyed mage. As she got close to the meet up point of Kikka the darkness would take away half her vision which was a pain but she could always use her natural sensory to make up for it which would more than likely be more helpful then her actual eyes. Her own captain had joined the take back force but he was given a different mission than she was. That being said the team she was apart of was by no means lacking after all they had the crimson lion captain Ardere Kasai the golden dawn captain Zaven Blake both of which were two of the heaviest hitters in the kingdom. They also had the black bulls vice captain Rosalia. Lillith didn't know any of the three personally but had heard the stories about them. In fact the only person the red haired mage knew was Verena who would actually say Lillith's name more so as a question rather than a greeting. Yup that's me its nice to see you again Verena. The purple orca mage would listen to the crimson lion captains little speech but she was never really a fan of speeches personally but what he said was true. After Zaven spoke Lillith would be the next one to speak up. So I'm going to cast a spell and will most likely vanish from site from a few of you but I'll still be here you just won't hear sense or see me. Lillith wasn't sure how many people would actually be able to see past her illusion but she figured at the two captains could at least. [break][break] Gemstone Ethereal Assassin As she cast the spell just as she warned Lilly would vanish from site unless the others had the proper sensory to see past her illusion two gemstone daggers would also appear in her hands. The brown eyed mage would then cast another spell to keep in touch with the other mages. Gemstone Communication Six mirrors made out of gemstone would then appear in front of the other mages. The others would then hear Lilly's voice inside there heads. This spell will allow me to keep in touch with all of you even when I'm using my illusion. I'll need to know if anyone can currently see past my illusion so I can get rid of your mirrors as I can only have six out at once and I can use that to keep in touch with others if the captains need me to. Lillith knew she had started out with dropping a lot of mana but she wasn't to worried about it as she was able to get her mana back faster than most mages.

It hadn’t been long since he had gotten his magic back or at least access the spells in his grimoire once again but yet he was being sent to help with the efforts in Kikka. There was some weird things going on in Kikka, Daemons, villagers going missing, just a bunch of things that the Young Shengxiao wasn’t really aware of due to being to focused on trying to figure out why his magic had gone all wonky. Chisana spent a great deal of time making sure he was prepared for this mission it could be the most important task he has been sent on in his young life and he could tell that the severity of how Captain Malcolm had addressed it that this was more then the normal dungeon diving adventure that he was generally sent on randomly.
Chisana finished his preparation in his room at the Black Bulls base, he tightened his gauntlets on his hands which had become natural for him over the long use of the sturdy items. He made sure his Armor was set and fastened his Mantle around his shoulders, he was as ready as he ever could be for this mission, sure he felt that he could have trained a bit longer or had been a bit more proactive in learning how to use his magic better or smarter but that was in the past and the time to act was upon him. So he left his room, walked down to the squad’s spatial mage who was in charge of getting him to where he was suppose to go and steeled himself as he arrived in the blink of an eye seeing that he had been the last to arrive.
Another sensation that the young man felt was a massive feeling of dread, the town seemed to have truly fallen completely under the Daemon’s control and that the rumors hadn’t even scratched the surface of the extent of corruption in the area. “Just great, this will be a blast and a half it seems.” Chisana quickly steadied himself and took some time to see who his comrades for this mission would be, he was not hopeful to see anyone he knew but he did happen to see his Vice-Captain Rosa here. That was a comforting sight, he had seen her abilities more than once, he was not sure who most of the others were besides two of the men. They both matched the descriptions of the posters and rumors that every mage heard throughout the kingdom, Ardere The Captain of the Crimson Lions and Zaven the Captain of the Golden Dawn. These two larger than life individuals both gave off the auras of Gods among Mortals and it was like being around his own Captain.
Once more he was presented with the mountains that were the true strongest in the kingdom and that itch to be more was growing. Chisana did not recognize any of the others after noticing the two captains but he committed their looks, names, and mana signatures to memory. Once the base introductions had been completed Captain Ardere gave a slight pep talk about the situation which in an area where you felt the dread on your skin and things seemed so dark it made sense. Chisana was sure it was what was needed to be said at the right time but all he could focus on was the sense of foreboding that came from the wide open like outstretched arms gates to the village. This was going to be deadly and for once the young Shengxiao was not sure if he was going to ever pass back through these gates.
The day had come and now at the southern side of the town stood one of the two teams that had volunteered for what many had seen as a fools errand. The team of Sol, Verena, Lilith, Rosalia, Chisana they were under the command of the Crimson Lion and Golden Dawn captains Zaven and Ardere who knew some information that the rest of the team did not. Flying above the city playing overwatch was the vice-captain of the Crimson Lions, Lydia Ravencrest who had personally requested her captain and the Wizard King to be there as she herself wanted answers as to what happened within this town and to her former partner. At first, the Wizard King had refused to allow it but after some time of thinking he could see how her presence could be beneficial to those within the town, still, he didn't want to overplay his hand by putting all of his eggs in one basket and so she was given separate orders only known to her and the captains that would be within the town. Her orders were to remain out of the fight while giving support when requested by the captains and the captains alone. The reason for this unusual order was that the reports had shown this enemy was strong in illusion magic and where Lydia wouldn't know most of those in the teams and those she did know could possibly be mimicked via the illusions given the strength of the enemy. Captains however where at the peaks of power so it would take more to even attempt to do such a thing, that and the light mage knew that each captain had several keywords and phrases they needed to state between each communication with her and each other to prove it was indeed them, no chances were been taken this time around.
After the basic meet and greet of the group they had made their way into the town like at the south gate, it was so silent that any noise even from a distance away could be heard. Even though it was hard for people to see for some more than others it was some citizens could be seen quickly entering houses the moment they saw the group of magic knights and civilians. It was almost as if they were terrified of them but it was hard for it not to be the case given that they had been living in complete darkness for a little over two months with three daemonic overlords ruling with an iron fist. The only one who would sense something off would be the Shadow of Dawn Zaven but by the time he would have noticed and before he could have said anything the ever nervous Verena would step on something a glowing seal of several colours would appear she had set off a trap but this one was unusual as it didn't do any damage, in fact, it didn't affect any of the group in any way. Once the seal had fully formed it shot pure aura sparkles up into the shadowed sky almost as if they were fireworks. When they burst out they made the words 'Welcome honoured guests.' if that wasn't bad enough not long after Verena had stepped on one Chisana had stepped on another, like the first a mass of colourful seals appeared before shooting up in a multitude of colours making out the phrase 'We were wondering when you would come to visit so we left the gates open.' the last person to step on a trap was Ard himself as before colourful seals before shooting up into the sky 'We do hope you enjoy our hospitality.' the last phrase said before everything faded after a long moment. None of the traps set off a noise nor did they brighten up the area but it was already clear Sven was back at playing his tricks.
For now, the archdaemon said nothing, he wanted to study the two groups and see how they would deal with things. He could tell they were far powerful and felt the power of the woman that hovered over his domain, silently watching like a guardian angel. He brought his loosely fisted hands to his lips and chuckled as from what he was sensing this time round it would be far more interesting given who the main protagonists were. They likely all had shadows in their closets that they didn't want to be brought to light but he was more than happy to bide his time, studying and researching each and every person that had just entered his domain. That after all was what he was good at. He watched as the traps that had been set off had attracted some unwanted attention. A dozen mana beasts of varying size and appearance appeared to be encroaching on the group. The first two to sense this was coming would be Zaven and Lilith, Ard himself would feel it quite soon after.
Story:
Above the city only known to Jett, Zaven and Ardere is Lydia playing overwatch. She is there to be support and nothing else at least for the moment. She is under orders to only act upon one of the captain's orders and a failsafe has been put in place so she will know if it is a captain or an imposter and vice versa. Sven has been expecting the groups and the three traps that were sprung show that he had actually been awaiting their arrival, no real light nor any sound was given as the 'fireworks' went off but it did alert nearby mana beasts to your location and they don't look very friendly. Sven for the moment is keeping to his hands-off approach and just observing the two groups to see what dark secrets they had that he can use against them.
- You are not locked into anything until your first post within your thread.
- The event will run on three strikes in regards to skipping rounds. The first time will be a verbal warning and perhaps a trap being set off, the second time I am taking something from you and will set a trap off, third time you will either be removed or killed depending on the reasons for the skips.
- Lydia is flying above the town under orders of the Wizard King, only the captains know and only they can request help
- Lydia is allowed to shoot light into threads once per page, the light will last 2 rounds before vanishing during the 2 rounds of sight character vision will be fully restored
- If two or more characters are below 50% on either mana or health the light will return either 10 mana or 25% of the character's health per round it can not do both.
- During the two round of pure light Lydia will be able to see the town perfect for the most part so can relay information if requested to one group but she must be contacted for that information.
- If a captain in one thread asks for light to be given, the very next round the opposite thread will gain the benefit of the light so use this wisely.
- If Lydia believes someone is doing something stupid after two rounds and if gm permission is asked she can shoot a warning shot at the person in question but not directly hit them.

[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] So with all the pieces in place the parties split up to tackle their tasks, Zaven and the group he was with was tasked with ending the daemon threat by cutting off the head, Sven. As they stepped forth he began to reach out with his sensory, but it seemed the daemon really wanted to have fun with them. He could only watch as the nervous Verena, the black bull Chisana, and the Crimson Lion himself all activated some sort of trap one after another...causing some fireworks to rise up in the air with no noise as the message was clear, Zaven said it aloud in a calm and collected voice. ”Welcome honored guests...we were wondering when you would come to visit so we left the gates open...we do hope you enjoy our hospitality.” He did not sigh as he usually would after saying this, instead his grimoire opened and he felt the mana signatures of 12 creatures that were all alerted due to this little show. ”Spread out and be mindful of your attack lanes, Bulls take the right flank near those houses,” He pointed at a dilapidated row of houses near their right side. ”Purple Orca take the two...citizens and head to the left side, the ruins of that building will offer you all a tactical line of sight. Ardere, me and you will cover the middle, everyone keep calm and do not overuse your mana. If a creature breaks your lane or light of sight, have your partner act as overwatch. Last but not least...do not die here and keep an eye out for traps. Shadow Golem and Attack creation! Achilies, Erebus Strike!” Zaven said as the scout shadow golem Achilies appeared and sped awaited orders as the bow of shadow appeared in Zaven’s left hand and the domain was established as the shadows would appear to dance around the area. The shadow of dawn’s senses would be on overdrive as he would read the enemy movements, tracking them as best as he could, the shadow bow was already pulled back and the arrow notched as he waited for anything to step into his territory. He did not call any of them by name except for Ardere...this was to save time and not to sleight any of them...even if he did not understand why the fuck there were citizens willingly coming into a military operation. This usually spelt disaster, but Zaven just mentally shook it off and gave Achilies his marching orders, which was to zoom around the perimeter and keep the two flanking parties out of the way so they would not be hurt. [break][break]
He knew that this may look like he was attempting to lead the group, and no offense to Ardere at all, the man had definitely seen war and he did not doubt the man. However, he knew that Ardere was not built like he was when it came to hunting...this was his domain, and the sick smirk on Zaven’s face was proof that he had every intention of putting the nails into the coffin of this Archdaemon early. His plan was to have the strongest members attack at once with heavy bombardment and protect the others...The Shadow of Dawn was a courageous soldier that did not want to endanger any lives on this mission, but he had fought side by side with at least two of the people from this group. Rosalia, the Vice Captain of the Black Bulls was a icy powerhouse that could hold her own very well and did not require Zaven’s oversight, but Ardere was a man that Zaven had fought in the sewers of the Royal Capital, the Forgotten Tower, the Shining Palace...Then the places they competed in the drinking contests...He trusted this man to have his back on this, especially on his thoughts. He waited for either Achilies, who moved at a speed of 48 m/s to either be destroyed or to destroy whatever may come as it patrolled. All the pieces were in place...just as he had pointed out earlier as under his breath he said. ”It’s now or never…I just need more power…”

[attr="class","ardereescroll"]Expect darkness and death. Perhaps something even beyond that. His voice was stoic and unwavering, but there was a strength behind his words blatant to those around him. Even among the high tensions, the Captain turned with a smile carved into his maw. But we've got this. Serving up a wink and a thumbs up to signal his confidence, Ardere was well aware that morale was more important now than ever. Standing there with bandages and scars may not have been the most confidence invoking thing, but alongside Zaven he had a power. The Golden Dawn and Crimson Lions had been around some time. This was not their first rodeo. [break][break] Lydia. The young woman had proven to be his closest confidante in recent time, but even for his this mission held a great risk. The trust Ardere wielded for her was unbreakable, and in that he found strength. Nonetheless a pit of worry welled inside of his stomach. This was fear attempting to take over, but he would not allow it. Ardere cracked his knuckles and inhaled sharply. The group traversed the dark realm into the South Gate as guests appearing to be welcomed with open arms. The fire mage was perceptive enough to realize this was a form of trap for them, but there was no other choice--they had to move forward. Remember what I told you. He spoke to the group. And just as he said that, Verena stepped on a seal. A instinctive part of him was going to dash and grab her, but it was far too late. Both he and Chisana had set off traps. Fortunately for the group they were not offensive, but rather a sort of welcoming. Guests eh? I suppose we should make ourselves at home then. A devilish smirk plastered across his pale lips, Ardere's fists gripped tight enough for his nails to pierce his palms. [break][break] A warmth lit up inside of him--the power of Salamander attempting to calm him. Thanks friend, but I'll be okay. The dragon dwelling around him as a sort of protector, he brought the small lizard to his shoulder. Due to their weakened power from their last fight, he had yet to regain his full size. Whether that would change or not was yet to be seen. At this time Zaven had taken some command, which he was not opposed to. They both had a personal stake in this, and the fire mage could follow his lead for now. Once they got to Sven, he was going to unleash his full strength. Watch each other and be vocal. Communication is key here so we don't get separated. Nodding to his Golden Dawn comrade, he finally exhaled fully and summoned forth four swords of blazing light in front of himself and the shadow mage. This was to protect them and attack anything that passed the golem his friend sent into the fray. Fully activating his ki sensory, the fire mage looked for anything odd in the area and kept himself aware. He was tracking everything with his ki radius of one hundred meters, which did slow him down a bit but ultimately was worth it. I'll be the front guard. My swords will protect us if anything comes within range. Pushing the sword out to form a semi circle with a few meters between each blade, they hovered patiently as if waiting to be called into battle. This was his Siegfried's Arsenal and signature spell, so undoubtedly it would prove useful. I'll take your lead here Zave, but let's try and stay in the light if we can. Pushing his cloak back to reveal his muscular shoulders, the fire mage flexed his muscles as mana flowed through them and he focused on what lied ahead. As a Ki master he was perfect to track the things all around them, but he relied on the team to cover what he could not. Their biggest weakness would be getting separated, and that he could not allow. Let's see what you got, Sven. He muttered under his breath, waiting to see the events that would unfold.

It has gotten stronger as he has, and this is the final version of this spell. He creates a massive sword out of flame. Being 2 meters in length it is long enough to match his own height but not too large to be awkward when wielding. The user can grab this sword, but they can also manipulate it in an 80 meter area, being 40 m radially around them-self. They can manipulate it to stab or slash or twirl, anything the user can think of. For every 50 control the user has, they can make an extra sword. These swords are powerful enough to cleave through stone and metal like it was butter, and limbs are just the same. These spells do have the ability to kill.

Ardere's presence was one that could not be ignored. Perhaps because he used fire magic, or maybe it was just in part due to that spirit of his, but the Crimson Lion's Captain seemed to especially have a fire in his eyes that burned with an intensity befitting of one of his status and this situation he and others found themselves in. Experience in his stature, boldness in his words. Passion and bravery exuding from him, almost as if it was sheltering others from the suffocating darkness that was laid out before the group of seven. Yes, this man was every bit the person she'd heard of.[break][break]
With a little speech to boost morale, Ardere was ready to go.[break][break]
Zaven was similarly raring to go. However, unlike the Crimson Lions, he was much more focused on the task at hand; narrow-mindedly so. That type of tunnel vision was to be expected in this situation, however. The situation was dire, and the Shadow of the Dawn's advice was more in line with something she could understand. Pay attention to one's own surroundings, stick with one another as a group... that made sense.[break][break]
Catching her by surprise was the Black Bulls Vice-Captain throwing concern her way. Of everyone here, there were three people whom she was almost certain wouldn't pay her mind, especially in formalities. Ardere, Zaven, and Rosalia. It wasn't that she didn't think they didn't care; it was more she imagined them being more caught up in the events that brought everyone here. Not to mention, she expected her to be paying more attention to the men.[break][break]
...No, that wasn't fair. Rosalia was, after all, a Magic Knight. If she was truly dedicated to her position, then it would only make sense she'd pick up on things like this. With a wink and a comment of assurance, Verena tried nodding confidently. "...Thank you, Miss Boreas," she said, forcing a smile.[break][break]
Before removing herself from the scene at hand, Lilith gave a little acknowledgment to the former Reinsberg, causing the wander to smile from ear to ear. She didn't expect to be remembered, and it was nice that the redheaded mage remembered her. In that dungeon, Verena had done next to nothing, so it would have been completely expected if she hadn't been remembered at all. She couldn't fault anyone who couldn't remember her, after all. Still, to her question before she disappeared from sight: "...Uhm... I'm sorry, but no. My magic hasn't really improved since we last met, either... I only trained how to survive and defend myself, but... past that, I'm afraid I can't be of help. I just wish to see the citizens to safety, that's all..."[break][break]
As the group headed deeper into enemy territory, Verena glanced around. Her vision might have been half of what it would normally be given the darkness that engulfed all at this moment, but she could still make out the stares. The worry. The fear. It broke her heart. What had these people been going through during this time? She wanted nothing more than to break apart from the group during this moment, so as to try to get some of them to safety, but-[break][break]
Bright.[break][break]
The bespectacled girl looked up in astonishment, and fear. She'd messed up. She messed up big time. How could she have set up off a trap so soon, already? No doubt she had set off a trap and was now dead. That quick? That was all it took to die? It wasn't even the type of death she expected.[break][break]
Wait.[break][break]
Where was the pain?[break][break]
Verena frantically glanced around, but she realized she was fine. Everyone was still around her. The only thing that had happened was...[break][break]
"Welcome honoured guests."[break][break]
Reading the lettering in the sky, she realized another message shot up in the air, followed by another. Glancing around, she realized that two others had set off traps, including even Ardere himself. The full message shot into the sky, clear as day to the seven. "Welcome honoured guests. We were wondering when you would come to visit, so we left the gates open. We do hope you enjoy our hospitality."[break][break]
The daemons were... toying with them. Messing with them. And the one to set it all of was her. Maybe if she'd been more astute, they wouldn't have given away their position. What would he be saying right now? To think she had messed up this much. Why was she even here? She was just going to get in everyone's way. She wasn't strong, she wasn't smart. She had no combat knowledge. All she had were those two dungeons and training from Jorah, who used a rare type of magic as she did.[break][break]
Mana beasts zoomed in on their location, no different than sharks when presented with blood. The traps had now given away their positions, and there wasn't much time to think. Zaven was the first to give a command. Lilith, the other citizen, and she were to split off to the left to deal with the mana beasts. Lilith was invisible, however, so she wasn't sure where she was at. The crimson eyed girl knew she had to keep up, however, so as to not lag behind.[break][break]
Given Zaven mentioned a "tactical line of sight", Verena took that trying not to draw attention to herself; in other words, the best thing she could do at this moment was to not utilize her golems less it became necessary. However, she was also far too slow to reliably do that. So then, what was the best thing she could do? Lagging behind was also tantamount to death. Then she had no choice.[break][break]
With her Grimoire opened, Verena created a golem she didn't use that much, but it would be far more useful here--so long as it stayed out of Ard's path, for more reasons than one. It was noticeably smaller than her preferred golem, but it was also noticeably stronger, and also moved faster. Its wooden frame was enough to allow her to get from point a to point b faster, as it carried her in an open palm per her instructions. But it also had another instruction.[break][break]
"Do not let anything within three meters enter. Exception: Those already here."[break][break]
To compensate for her own inability to see that well, the best thing she could do was set instructions in advance rather than at the moment. The golem had better sensory capabilities than her own and also wasn't affected by the same blindness she was at the moment. Of course, this command was only given once they made it to the ruins if she was able to. She herself would get off from the golem if they made it, to allow maximum mobility as well as the use of both arms. Most importantly, this would give merit to the command, as remaining still during this time was vital for the command.
If she was too late, however, she'd try her best to fight them off with the golem she was situated as they drew closer; not advancing towards them, but moving as close as she could in position; punches, kicks, so on and so forth. It was a beginner level golem, after all.

Description: Summoner Creation: Phaunus' Gift is made utilizing mana with Wood Affinity. The golem itself is incredibly simple in design. It's a humanoid golem made from wooden branches that have been smoothed out, and then banded together with more limber wood to hold it in place, like a wicker basket. The golem is incredibly basic and barebones in it's functionality, only punching and kicking to assail it's enemies. Still, due to it's simplicity, it is incredibly easy to control, and effective for most other tasks she may need them for.[break][break]
Verena is able to create one (1) golem per ten (10) control she has at once, maxing at five.

While Arderes words were less then comforting they did do the job in giving Sol an idea of what to expect, however once the group managed to set off multiple traps the red eyed man instantly went on guard as he placed a hand on his katana as Zaven the golden dawn captain read off the message as the fireworks went off above them. As he finished Sol scowled “so they were expecting us I guess we shouldn’t be surprised” he muttered to himself as he pulled his grimoire out to get ready as they were alerted that others were approaching and then proceeded to give them directions having the black bull member go to the right while having himself and the other civilian along with the purple orca knight go to the left for a tactical line of sight. Sol quickly started to follow Verena and his eyes darted around trying to make sure he kept as much as he could in his line of sight lest they get ambushed before they reached their destination.
As they reached the area they were told to go Sol noticed his partner civilian summoning a wooden golem and he quickly unsheathed his Katana before the blade quickly gained a glowing aura. He quickly got ready as he glanced at Verena for a second. “just a heads up my magics not really built for attacking its more for binding and cursing so ill do my best to weaken and slow them down as much as I can” he said quickly and quietly so only they would hear.” He didn’t speak to loudly since he didn’t know if the daemon could potentially overhear them and he didn’t want to risk revealing to much. He glanced at his sword remembering when his former squadmate had to defend him while they were on a mission to deal with a experiment of the coral peacocks that had gone wrong.
Sol quickly shook off the memory since it didn’t matter and he had learned from his mistake and made sure to always carry a weapon on his person. Glancing at the other member of their little group that was from purple orca Sol wondered if he did well enough if perhaps he might gain some favor with them and perhaps join their squad. The red eyed man needed a new squad to call home and if he could up his chances he would, however that took a backseat to the current mission which was far more important. “I’m Ready Bring it on” he said as he took a deep breath and readied himself for any of the beasts that approached. Moving slightly he made it so that he was covering Verenas Blind spot so any beasts wouldn’t catch her off guard and also kept it so she was protecting his back as well so they were covered, the mans Red Slitted eyes kept darting all over looking for any signs of something emerging from the darkness around them.
She liked the way small chatter seemed to carry in the air. It proved that there was energy in the group, nervous or otherwise. Personally, Rosalia knew Meseth was excited. Any time that the spirit had a shot at fighting anything, its personality of angry lazy housecat did a 180. It almost reminded her of Malcolm and Chisana sometimes. But the little spirit had currently slipped into her grimoire and slept there silently. Or that’s what it wanted her to believe, anyways. [break][break] When it came down to Verena, the impersonal use of “Miss” made Rosa crinkle her eyebrows. “Not Miss, there’s no miss here. And the last name doesn’t mean much. Rosa or Rosalia is just fine.” Anddddd that’s about how fast the beauty was ready to throw away formalities. They weren’t in her blood. [break][break] The red-head followed at the centre of the group, raising an eyebrow when she saw a few women ushering children inside of their homes. So people were alive here? Her eyes narrowed with suspicion. This was very different from Fezek or the other daemons she’d fought with Zaven prior. Those were quick to enslave with magic…so what was Sven doing? She received her answer when magic traps, functioning like fireworks were set off. This made the beauty unable to hide a little smile. [break][break] “My…truly the showman, this Sven.” She commented under her breath with a growing grin. Rosa didn’t know what to expect, but somehow, due to her ease with war as a whole, it simply brought on her dark sense of humor. This was gonna be a circus, wasn’t it? [break][break] Then it would seem that Zaven would sense something she didn’t…and he commanded her and Chisana to take the right flank near the dark foreboding dirty-looking houses. And already, Rosalia was a bit triggered. Of course she would get told what to do. She always hated it. Hated it with her brothers, hated it with Malcolm, and now hated it with Zaven. But she let her icy mana cool her annoyance and mask it well as she did what she was told. Not only did she not get a “hello” but she was also getting the “boss” treatment from the Blake. He’d get quite the cold shoulder afterwards. Everyone else would also probably follow commands as the familiar shadow golems were summoned. Ardere also pulled a powerful fire spell out, one that surprised Rosa with its heat before making her close her eyes. [break][break] The Vice of the Black Bulls would take out her grimoire and stifle a little yawn with the book. Her lips grew into a little cold smile as she let her mana properly take over her body and relax her emotions. She needed to see clearly in this case. Rosalia was ready with Nurvureem’s Blessing, but let her mana roam through the area and wrap around herself, Chisana, the red-haired civilian she’d spoken to earlier, and the black-haired crimson lion as she murmured “Essence of Winter” under her breath. It was a cool chill that quickly spread from her around the battlefield. A defensive spell, with offensive capabilities, like an invisible shell of ice mana would spread over the four as the enemies neared. It was just extra protection, in case it was needed. If any of the enemies would get too close to them, the shields would strike out for [INT] damage. She gave the three she’d shielded a quick wink before focusing her attention on the task at hand. Time to deal some pain. [break][break]

It was time to move forward. The air was filled with the group’s nervous energy but things seemed to be going slightly better then to be expected considering the makeup of the group. While they certainly had some major powerhouses in this rag tag bunch of mages there were also some extremely lacking individuals Chisana being one of them in comparison. It was not a proud moment for the young Shengxiao, and in the next few moments the little bit of confidence would leave his body. The first trap was tripped by the young mage Verena and then Ardere one of the mentioned powerhouses of the group and then finally himself. Tripping the trap was while luckily non-offensive it had done it’s intended effect of psychological damage, while Chisana wasn’t the best sensory mage of the group he also had put some amount of his training into the specialization but these had simply shown him how easy it would be for him to waltz right into another trap at this point. It was a humbling moment for the young mage. He was not happy with the ease he had fallen for such a trap and the message it sent he fully understood it beyond the simple welcoming message.
No more did the young Black Bull have a smile on his, he had decided to delve into his mindset and focus as he did when he was with Captain Malcolm. No longer would he treat this as any other mission just because he knew someone here and that there were those of great strength around him. Chisana had realized it was not worth to truly rely so fully on the gods among mortals as he had come to see the senior mages, this was as close to war he was going to get. He had only heard stories and such of the war that had sent his family to the Clover Kingdom and the following war that had engulfed the kingdom with the Diamonds. He was one of the generations that followed the end of that war and was to young to remember or even experience most of it. So the closest he had come to a true life and death experience was when he had to fight bandits that use to attack his village but even then he was a young child and really only was there when allowed just because he had grown faster then most.
After the group recovered from the firework display the captains were quick to act, it seemed that there were various mana signatures approaching the mages quickly thanks to the show that had been put on. Zaven had taken the lead in ordering people into action and out of the stupor of the display, following behind was Ardere to back up the Golden Dawn Captain with his abilities. The group that Chisana had been thrown into was with his Vice Captain Rosa. He quickly followed the orders given to the group and felt the adrenaline course through his body, followed swiftly with mana as he begun to cast his spells. He was good at only a few small things but they were things that he had been honing to perfection, “Falcon and Soldier, Arise and protect.” 3 four meters in size Falcon shaped golems shimmered into existence along with 3 Human shaped golems that looked to be wearing armor. Chisana ordered the 3 Falcons into the area to keep overwatch over the 80 meters around them and to attack anything that came within 10 meters of the group, then he ordered the soldiers to keep guard within 10 meters of their small group and attack anything that approached that wasn’t apart of the small group or overall group. The soldiers moved into a triangle shaped defensive position already clearing out any civilian they found and moving them out of the area. Chisana debated summoning more golems but he felt that for now this would be simply fine and if needed he would bring out more.
“Let me show you the fruit of my training.” Chisana said towards the area in general, mainly speaking to the enemies that he knew of and those that he had no clue of. He had dived deep into the mindset of combat, slowly Chisana was developing into the soldier that he would become if he kept growing.
