Training. The past month and a half the sole focus was on just that training, one could use it for many different things. Today Valo was using it to grow in strength and ease his emotions, a wide spread of things were on his mind every passing minute. With good reason, his squad was now out of a vice captain the powerful women he looked up to would consider a teacher Artemis was defeated and for all he knew dead. This fact weighed heavily on all the members of Green Mantis, Artemis had just become the Vice captain of the squad showing excellent promise to bring Green Mantis the brand new heights. Now that dream was no more and gone within a instant.
Most members decided to sulk in this fact, accept the hand drawn to them and do nothing. While others used it to push them further, used it to become stronger and better each passing day. Valo had been using the training grounds much more lately then usual, the next mission to take back Kikka was set and he was set to return home and be rid of the darkness that surrounded it. He wanted to go back in much better than before, he had been inviting some friends he met along the way as well. A darkness magic user named Hans he met in Kikka, a strong swordsman who was also determined to free Kikka. He was a strong silent type, the more Valo got to know him the more he stated to acknowledge him as an ally. Genesis being the other whom he had met before, and considered her a very trusted ally.
Today Valo was mostly alone, with just a few of the other members around practicing and honing their abilities and skills. It was towards the end of his workout, beads of sweat coming down his forehead. He grabbed a nearby towel and wiped himself off, though still effected by the loss of his Vice captain and his home nearly Valo was more calm compared to the first couple of weeks. A bit more level headed and focused, this finally allowed him to see how his fellow squad mates were taking it in. He looked around and spotted some familiar faces, he nodded to them and noticed a white blonde hair girl with piercing red eyes. He had seen her a few times before, but never knew her name. He would nod in her direction as well if she turned to meet his direction.
He looked around and spotted Fuu, the dwarf earth mage. Though the two mostly bumped heads because they were both rather arrogant, Valo admired the young girl strictly because she was never afraid to back up all her talk. Valo walked over to her, realizing the two haven't spoken since what happened. "Hey...Fuu. I know we haven't spoken much since you know. But I wanted to know how are you holding up?" Valo asked his young squad mate. He didn't know what to expect, she could be angry with him or just sad about the whole situation in general. Nevertheless Valo was ready to face it, and have the entire squad move forward.

A month and a half has passed since the events of Kikka...and the fall of the Green Mantises own Vice Captain, Artemis. This news came to a shock to the majority of the squad, but as time went on, a lot of the members got use to this while it was harder for some others to get over, one of them being Fuu.
The Wilhelm heiress found herself sitting alone in one of the squad's training areas. She had on her usual pants, but wore a white tank top, as well as her fingerless Terra Gloves. The dwarf wanted to get some training in, but she just wasn't as up for it as she wanted to. The dwarf wasn't as lively as she used to be. Even after being the first to clear that new dungeon along with that blue elf she met before, Fuu would rather just sit around then gloat about it, especially since what happened there also had a further negative reaction to the girl's mood...
Fuu gently tapped her fingers against her lap as she watched the other members train. They all still had that will to fight, and that made the girl a little envious. Her eyes then fell upon a white haired woman that the dwarf hasn't seen before...or at least she thinks she hasn't. With the amount of people in this squad, it was honestly hard to keep track of. Her pale almost emotionless eyes then shifted to Valo. Her eyebrows furrowed at the man before she lowered her head, looking down at her lap. The two mantises had a habit of getting on each other's case, but deep down, Fuu looked up to Valo, seeing him as the older brother she never had. But after Kikka, it felt like that they were drifting apart...at least to Fuu.
Having witnessed Valo train a few times with those outsiders, and being very aware of his goal to return to that now daemon infested town had made Fuu realize just how far behind she was to the fire mage. He didn't even bother to ask the dwarf if she wanted to join, to help him fight...but then again, could she really blame him? These thoughts were enough to make the girl grit her teeth, gripping on the fabric of her pants.
Looking back up, Fuu would notice Valo making his way to her. She quickly got up, and attempted to walk away as if she didn't notice that he was approaching, but he got to her just in time unfortunately. As he spoke, Fuu had her side facing the guy, not at all attempting to make eye contact. With a sigh, Fuu attempted to pull up a strong front. "Yeah yeah, I'm fine." she claimed before crossing her arms. "I was just about to go train...So if you'll excuse me." With that, the dwarf attempted to walk away.

The Green mantis base was… busy today everyone was training perhaps out of habit perhaps towards something a bit more important. Waylynn of course wasn’t going to be invited to retaking the place where their own Vice Captain had fallen but there were those who intended to and she had to admire that. Valo, he looked at her for a moment and of course he looked away just as quickly after they nodded to each other, she hardly ever managed to talk to many of the members of the Mantis so it wasn’t that surprising. She felt more eyes scan over her, having taken a break it made her feel like she should say something but noticing who it was she decided not to, there wasn’t the kind of fight in that girl’s eyes that she wanted. So why then was the fire mage going to talk to her instead?
She couldn’t help herself, she tried not to make it obvious but she wanted to listen to the conversation. The only problem with that was that the girl, Fuu, Valo called her didn’t seem to want to talk for whatever reason. She tried to remember if she knew who the shorter girl was, she was sure she had seen her outside of this context. She looked at her again and realized it, though her expression was quite different than she had seen before, Fuu Wilhelm had always been aggressive when she had seen her before it’s no wonder she didn’t recognize her with that attitude.
There was a moment of pause in Waylynn’s mind, why should she care whether or not someone else was feeling well, it wasn’t her problem she could ignore it. She didn’t have the look of a noble about her much less the pride a magic knight should be displaying, what was she going to do mope about all day? The blond blew a piece of hair out of her face leaning back only half facing them to talk.
”No really do let her go, I’ve been wondering why she was just sitting back there while we’ve been working on ourselves. If you’re going to drag everyone down why did you even come to the training area.” She didn’t need much effort to sound like she didn’t care that much although the accusation at the end tweaked her to keep talking for some reason. ”I mean, what really is the point if you’re just going to wallow in weakness.” She turned away fully and grabbed her grimoire to tuck it back into her belt. She had already been here for a while anyway, and if Valo was going to entertain the shorter mage in whatever this mood was then she might well be the one to remove herself from the area.
As Valo started to make his way towards Fuu, he noticed she would start to get up and walk the other way. It was obvious she didn't want to talk to him, at least yet. Was she upset with him? Or just upset in general? It was hard and strange times they lived in now, their future leader being defeated. They still had their captain Barron, but in times of need he wasn't really around. Luckily though Valo put an extra pep in his step catch up to her, and speak before she got to far.
When he looked at her, they barely met eye to eye but Valo could see the young earth mage was feeling down. Her eyes were pale and almost emotionless, similar to how he looked maybe just a few weeks ago. She spoke quickly and it was obvious she didn't want to talk, which coming from Fuu was very rare. She said she was fine but it was obvious she wasn't. What made it worse was Valo had no idea what to do in these kind of situations, he was loss for words and when he didn't know what to do he usually just got frustrated. "Tch. Fuu." he said her name again just a bit more emphasis. But he stopped himself when he realized he didn't have the words, that could make her feel better.
But he didn't to say anything else, someone decided to speak instead. The white haired girl with the red eyes walked up to them, her gaze on Fuu and Fuu alone. Now that she was closer Valo started to really put a name to the face. If he was right her name might Waylynn a member of the Ravencrest family, and it seemed just like Lydia she had quite the sharp tongue on her. She mocked Fuu directly asking why she even bothered to come the training area in the first place. Her words caught the ear of some of the other members in the squad, it was starting to peek the interest of others. Valo winced at her comments, but he didn't attempt to stop her words.
Valo viewed Fuu as a little sister, and he knew that some soft words weren't going to hit Fuu's hard head. Like most other members in this squad they all had some tough backgrounds and even tougher spines. Perhaps some tough love was needed to get Fuu out this funk she was in. Valo turned his head and looked at the other young woman. "You must be Waylynn...Waylynn Ravencrest right? Ive met a few Ravencrests and the lot of you have sharp tongues." Valo said to her with a grin on his face, he didn't have a problem with it. He actually admired it as long as they could back it up. Lydia came to mind, and he remembered he still wants his one on one fight with her.
This conflict could easily go south, but perhaps it could work in both their favors. Valo turned his head towards Fuu just to see how she was going to respond, given her attitude lately she could do just about anything."Fuu...relaaxx. Lets not do anything crazy...yet." But if either of them attempted to attack one another Valo would attempt to stop it by staying in the middle. If they were going to fight it was going to be with rules. Then an idea popped in his head!

It was obviously clear that Fuu wasn't in any sort of talking mood, or the mood to mostly do anything. Even her claim of going to go train was a lie. She just wanted to be alone with her self loathing thoughts now. Even after hearing Valo call her name again, Fuu just continued to walk, not at all turning to face the guy. But then she heard another voice, one she hasn't heard before and it was directed to the dwarf, and she had some rather...interesting words to say.
Fuu stopped in her tracks and listened, keeping her back turned to the duo. That pale, soulless look Fuu had in her eyes had slowly started to fade as she furrowed her brows. Even on her best day, the young Wilhelm didn't take too kindly to people who attempt to taunt her, but now....the only voice she could hear among the various chattering of the other squad mates was this woman's.
She glanced back at the person to see that it was that white haired lady she saw earlier who also had her back turned to the dwarf. Fuu did not take her eyes off of the woman even as Valo started to speak, but the mention of her being a Ravencrest did cause the Wilhelm girl to raise an eyebrow....but that was the least of Fuu's focus right now.
She continued to silently watch the woman's glaring at the back of her head as the words she uttered had started to repeat over and over in her head. Usually, Fuu's a lot more mouthy in these sorts of situations...but all of that fire and rage had manifested in that menacing glare of hers, her fists now balled up and practically shaking. Even when Valo stood himself in the middle of the two, Fuu instinctively shifted her head to keep her eyes on the cocky Ravencrest.
Her status as a squad mate didn't matter at that moment, and the dwarf couldn't give two shits about her noble lineage...right now, Fuu just wanted to hurt her.
Gritting her teeth, Fuu fully turned her body to face Valo, but kept her eyes on Weylynn. Her grimoire then floated to the air and started to glow. The earth mage would then fiercely stomp her bare foot onto the ground, summoning a pillar of stone right from under Weylynn's feet, potentially sending her flying back if it lands! Whether the attack hit or not, the other mantises in the area would now all have their eyes on the trio, some completely surprised while others laughed or tried to encourage the two to fight.
"So you're a Ravencrest huh?" Fuu would ask before cracking her knuckles, attempting to walk past Valo, her arm bumping into his as she passed. "I'm going to enjoy breaking your legs..." her tone had a lot more hate in it, compared to her usual noisy self...
With her grimoire flipped to the desired page, Fuu stomps her foot onto a solid surface while crossing her arms together, causing a pillar of of stone that is five feet in width to shoot up from the ground up to ten feet high within a twenty-five meter radius around her. If the target is struck with this, it will inflict blunt junior ranked damage as well as potentially send them flying two meters back (an additional 5 meters added every ten power gained) unless it rams them into a surface. Fuu is capable of forming an additional pillar per ten control gained.

Of course the fire mage would acknowledge her first, he obviously was talking about one of her cousins but still even if he had actually been trying to insult her she didn’t take it like that. ”Better to cut to the point than beat around the bush.” it was a philosophy that she imagined a lot of green mantis had but she found it best put to use around like minded people. She made a dramatic motion of flipping her bangs back with her hand as she turned back towards Valo and the dwarf when the fire mage was telling the shorter girl to calm down, intent on saying something else about her mood. She cut herself off though as she saw the grimoire fly over to its owner, she knew she caught it too late when the stone rose up from under her. She flew back and impacted the wall of the training area coughing as the breath was knocked out of her from the impact. She caught herself though from falling on her face landing on her dominant foot first she took a deep breath in and started stalking back towards where Fuu was.
This time it was her own grimoire that was floating near her glowing and flying next to her. ”I’d like to see you try Wilhelm, at least you’ve got enough fight in there to snap, I just hope I don’t break your fangs again too fast.” She growled at the dwarf. She was about to collect the mana and give the girl just what she was asking for, but Valo was still standing in the middle of them looking like he wanted to stop the fight, as if it wasn’t too late after the first spell was cast. She was hardly going to take something like this sitting down, and especially not with so many other members watching. ”Move Valo, She was asking for a kick in the ass before, she just invited me to be the one giving it.” She was twitching, she was going to fight, but she didn’t want to waste her mana on an attack that would be easily blocked by the other mage. She wasn’t about to let it drop but she could at least give him the chance to move before she started just firing spells past him.
Valo was turning his head back and forth between the two wizard knights, the atmosphere in the air was getting pretty tense and Valo was right in the middle of it. What made it even worse was the fact that both girls were nobles, two nobles in a squad like Green Mantis neither one of them were going to back down from one another. It was clear to Valo the two were going to fight no matter what even if he stood in the middle of them.
As Fuu gritted her teeth Valo watched her movements pretty closely, her grimoire in the air meant the obvious. "Fuuuuuu. Don't" he tried to say to her but it didn't matter. She stomped her foot on the ground and a pillar beneath the feet of Waylynn struck her. Valo looked rather annoyed being the earth mage that she was, her attacks could travel through the ground so it didn't matter if he stood in the middle of them. Her attack landed sending Waylynn back and hitting a wall in the training area, luckily her mana skin took the brunt of the damage. "Oh Gosh." Valo said simply after seeing the attack. The crowd of squad members and watchers getting larger and larger.
Of course Waylynn bounced back, her own grimoire floating in the air now there was no stopping the two from fighting now. The two started barking at each other tossing insults and things alike. If Valo was going to suggest his idea, it was best he do it right now. He spread his arms out still in the middle. "CAN YOU TWO JUST WAIT FOR A MINUTE!! I HAVE AN IDEA!!!" he shouted loudly.
His grimoire glowing a feint red and blue color, he summoned two of his brand new golems each one standing in between Fuu and Waylynn. The two golems were nine feet tall and fierce looking, they looked like elite soldiers with smoldering flames rising from their arms and legs. These golems were named the Budō meaning martial way, they were both strong and equally fast, getting past them would prove very difficult. If Valo managed to finally stop the two for a moment he would speak. The crowd around them now at full attention, awaiting what was going to happen next.
"To settle this..." He started to say, crossing his arms a smirk in his face. "I suggest a good old fashioned spar. Fuu vs Waylynn. Right here. The first to make the other concede wins. I'll ref just in case things go a little too far. For a squad like ours the best way to settle things... is a fight." Valo said backing up and clearing some space for the two. The people around did the same giving the two nobles more than enough room to spar, about 20 meters of area. Valo's golems stood slightly in front of him to the side as he kept watch, he would watch them closely to see just how this spar would go. The fire mage wouldn't like he was pretty excited.
"IF you both are ready...BEGIN!!!" he shouted. The crowd around them yelling with excitement.

Name of Spell: 武道 (Budō / Martial Way) Spell Element: Fire Spell Rank: Senior Mana Cost: 30 | 15 Type of Golem: Predator Applicable Perks: Puppet Master Description: The Budō are a new style of golem Valo has taken the time to create. Wanting a set of golems that move faster and hit harder, he created the Budō. More humaniod in appearance than his usual creations, the Budō golems can stand about 9 feet tall in height. But their strength and speed are not to be taken lightly, they are used primarily for overwhelming offense that fight directly along side Valo. They attack with precise strikes, such as punches, kicks, elbow and knee strikes each attack having a trail of flame behind it to inflict burning damage as well. Their attacks look similar to their masters own mimicking his movements precisely. They are also capable of flight, using flaming wings on their backs. Mostly used as a group following the ammo rules for golems at the senior rank, their attacks can almost look like a fiery dance while unleashing an onslaught of offensive maneuvers. The Budō can be used for transportation following the transportation guidelines for senior ranked golem spells. They fully respond to commands given by it's user through a mana connection and also verbally.
Even with her spell landing, Fuu didn't brag like she usually would, and instead just glared at the Ravencrest, silently watching her ram into the wall before dishing out her little insult.
"Don't you worry about my "fangs" lady. They're just as durable as the rest of me." Fuu claimed as she pointed a thumb at herself. Even with the funk that she is in, it seems to be near impossible to bottle up Fuu's Wilhelm pride for too long. The dwarf wanted to make sure that this woman gets put in her place, and that is at the bottom. The earth mage smirked as Waylynn tried to order Valo out of the way before throwing out more insults. "You won't even last more than five seconds against me, newbie." She claimed before spitting on the ground. "But go ahead, continue to test me....I encourage this."
Both girls had their grimoires out, and were mere seconds away from coming to blows. Noble against Noble, the clashing of pride. Fuu was just about ready to throw a punch until Valo yelled out, stopping the dwarf in her tracks.
Fuu watched as the fire mage summoned two brand new golems in front of the girls to help stop this fight from breaking out. The dwarf glared up at the menacing golem, no hint of fear in her eyes, but she rose an eyebrow at it. Seems Valo really has been busy lately. Fuu then looked over at Valo for a second before crossing her arms, and looking away, blowing a strand of hair from her face. The man then suggested that the two girls should spar to settle things which caused the girl to glance back at the man while some of the other members were whispering among each other.
"Seriously? You stopped us for that?" Fuu asked annoyingly as she watched him and his golems walk over to the side to play ref. She then looked back at Waylynn, the earth mage's eyes growing more sinister as she sunk into her battle stance, legs spread and arms spread out with palms facing upward. "I was going to smash her face in regardless..." she muttered just before Valo gave the clear to begin!
Fuu went into a full sprint after Waylynn, casting a spell in the middle of it. "Nature's Speed." A light brown aura would surround the dwarf, boosting her speed up a little! If she had manage to catch up to Waylynn, Fuu would attempt to grab the Ravencrest by the collar of her shirt with both hands and attempt to headbutt her, aiming mostly for her nose (dealing half-junior damage). She'd then let go of the girl, and try to follow up with a punch to her stomach using her Terra Gloves (dealing Junior damage) before clasping her hands together, and swinging them upwards in an attempt to strike her foe's chin (dealing Junior damage)!
(Fuu's fighting stance looks kind of like her signature if you need a reference for that)

This dwarf was too full of herself, going so far as to spit when she talked about how much skill she considered Waylynn to have. "If you'd done more than scratch me maybe I'd take your trash talk more seriously." She had raised her hand to collect mana when Valo stopped her, again. Waylynn glared at the golem when he summoned it, the size was meaningless of course but with the intensity of the flames she would be hard pressed to simply press on through it and she wasn't going to give it up after that, not when the other girl was so intent on having it out with her.
She ignored the whispering members, although it was likely they were taking bets she had often seen members doing that sort of thing. A ‘spar’ yeh sure, they could pretend she was just training if they wanted a real fight was better training than any kids glove fight either way.”I hate to agree but we were going to fight whether or not you carved out an area for it. Let me know the odds they’re giving after it’s over.” She breathed, the anger was boiling but she’d been more furious in the past, she could focus it and take her place in the little area.
Of course she should have expected a straight charge, she had been making innuendo about literally hitting, it wasn’t a surprise at all she was planning to get physical. Waylynn didn’t plan on playing at her opponent’s tempo though, She raised her hand and this time the mana fully collected ”Salt Shot”(Junior Damage and Knockback effect Possibly ignored?) it was only about as big as a fist when she hurtled it at the charging girl. It didn’t slow her down much though and Waylynn had been expecting her to be knocked off her feet at least as a pay back for her earlier attack.
The first strike was actually easy to read and avoid, just leaning back to avoid Fuu bringing her head up to meet her face. ”That works better when you’re not a foot shorter than-” She got punched in the stomach, those gloves weren’t just decorations it seemed, it hurt a bit and even more when they hit her chin as she buckled. She followed the blow up swiveling to kick(For ½ junior damage) while she was still being struck to hopefully pay it forward. Letting the momentum carry her back a bit she rubbed her chin, at least she had kept herself from biting her tongue; she had almost forgotten she wasn’t just fighting some common thug, she couldn’t just taunt her at every move. It wasn’t the first time someone had punched her and she doubted it would be the last, but she wanted to counter again, hopefully not take another fist to the chin. She had a spell for close combat, but maybe she would wait? She could outlast her if she conserved her mana enough but that was dangerous too. ”Five seconds is up, care to try again?” She wasn’t as fast of course, not with Fuu’s magic supporting her but she would land hits as long as she could surprise her.
Waylynn wasn’t frowning anymore though, or sneering for that matter, she was grinning.

Salt Shot Elemental Type: Salt Rank & Spell Type: Junior- Attack Creation/Hex Range & Speed: 25 Meters 10 m/s Mana Cost: 10 Initial / 5 Sustain Stats Effected: - 4 Durability Applicable Perks: Apex Predator, Sinister Hex Description: This spell compacts a ball of salt roughly the size of a fist and launches it at a target, with higher control Waylynn is able to create multiple shots (as per Ammo rules). The balls of salt can leave a nasty bruise or scrape and knock people back 2 meters (plus 5 meters for every 10 power Waylynn has). The shots burst and leave behind a hex that debuffs durability of the opponent's spells.
Despite the fist made of salt coming her way, Fuu didn't let up on her running and just tanked the attack like a raging bull, no bruises nor scars. The dwarf then went in for her first attack which missed through a combination of the salt mage's quick maneuvering, and their height difference betraying the poor dwarf! As the Ravencrest taunted Fuu on her height, the earth mage gritted her teeth before following through with her two other attacks, both hitting their target! But as her third attack struck, Fuu was met with an unavoidable kick to her chest which was actually able to do a bit of damage to the durable girl, moving her back a bit as well!
"Agh..." Fuu winced, but managed to correct her positioning, and went back to her fighting stance. She didn't look all too thrilled about getting hit like that, especially with the taunts that followed right after.
Unlike Waylynn, Fuu's scowl never let up, showing that she was filled more with rage than that competitive spirit. "I'm going ta knock that pretty little grin off your face." the girl claimed as her grimoire started to glow once more. "Will of Stone." Another physical reinforcement spell was cast, building up the dwarf's durability. Fuu was now attempting to go in for a leg sweep and if she was successful, she'd attempt to quickly maneuver her body while Waylynn was in mid fall, and try to bash her elbow against the back or front of the woman's head depending on where she'd fall (1/2 Jr Damage).
If Waylynn ends up hitting the ground, Fuu would then cockily pat the same elbow she used to hit the salt mage with before diving down elbow first, aiming for the Ravencrest's sternum (1/2 Jr Damage).
Description: With her grimoire flipped to the right page, Fuu begins to draw on the mana of the earth around her, merging it with her own mana to strengthen her body to be as tough as stone itself. With this active, Fuu is able to ignore the damage of a single spell or attack of Junior or lower rank per post as well as ignoring the extra effects of damaging spells in general (courtesy of her Tenacious Body perk) once every five posts. If the attacker has +20 power to Fuu's durability then it will only half the spell's rank in damage, but if they have +30 then she will not be able to ignore the spell at all. (Tenacious Body will remain in effect however.)

Waylynn would have liked a little more damage this far, but perhaps she shouldn’t expect that she would so easily be dealing damage to someone using Physical reinforcement magic. Ah, she still had time to banter even if she was still raging it seemed. ”Sorry, but if you want to do that you’ll need to try a little harder.” It was fine, if she couldn’t simply beat her up with single spells, she’d just have to put a real effort behind her blows. What Waylynn expected when Fuu charged in at her again was another series of punches, she had obviously reinforced herself farther so all she had to do was- Nope she didn’t even swing a fist instead the slat mage found her legs swept out from under her falling forward from her counter attack posture and got elbowed in the back of the head smacking her face into the floor. She growled and slapped her Grimoire with her hand shining with Mana ”Salt-” She had to grunt as she was elbowed in the back as well. ”-nado”(AoE, Junior Damage) The Salt started swirling up as she didn’t even bother trying to regain her breath just pushing up directly to throw the smaller girl off of her as she released the swirling mass of white all around her.
She didn’t continue the flow of mana into the spell for long, she didn’t need to if it had done its job and if it hadn’t then continuing it would be a waste of Mana. She locked her eyes on the Dwarf, These sustained spells were a pain but hopefully she would be blinded by the salt and vulnerable to her next move. This time she moved into an actual stance, that of a spear wielder. She could manage it, and she would need to if she wanted to break into the tough girl. She charged, letting the magic form in her hand as she thrust forward. ”Salt Spear!”(Junior damage) She didn’t want to let up on her assault, not if she could press an opening and hopefully catch Fuu in a vulnerable position.

Salt-nado Elemental Type: Salt Rank & Spell Type: Junior- Attack Creation/ Hex Creation Range & Speed: 10 m/s. 10 Meter Area Mana Cost: 10 Initial / 5 Sustain Stats Effected: Endurance (25% Junior Damage) Applicable Perks: Apex Predator Description: Waylynn Whips up a swirling mass of salt in a ten meter area that scrapes against skin and gives 'salt burns' much like a sandstorm would. She has no ability to leave people out of the area of it so it's not great for team combat. This spell is highly irritating to the eyes and not exactly see-through, anyone caught by the spells area will be blinded for one round if they would be hit/damaged.
Salt Spear Elemental Type: Salt Rank & Spell Type: Junior- Attack Creation/ Hex Creation Range & Speed: Melee Mana Cost: 10 Initial / 5 Sustain Stats Effected: - 5 Mana Regen, +2 Power Applicable Perks: Apex Predator Description: Waylynn creates a spear made of salt and swings it towards her target dealing slashes or cuts, The constant contact with the spear increases Waylynn's power and being struck by the spear head leaves behind a Hexed area of salt that absorbs mana debuffing Mana Regeneration of the target (only one target may be hexed in this way at the time, usually the first person struck)
A cocky little smirk formed on Fuu's face as she drove her elbow down on Waylynn's back! Her attacks have landed, and there was nothing more satisfying than that in Fuu's eyes...well except for her occasional fantasies of watching Charles get mauled alive by a swarm of Mana Beasts...
"Eh...?" As Fuu started to get back up, she caught only the second part of what the Ravencrest was saying. But before she could react, a tornado made of salt formed in the middle of them, and due to the hex within this spell, Fuu's reinforcement was rendered temporarily useless, but due to their equal power, the hex's effects was negated as well. "Ngh!" The spell was leaving scrapes and salt burns all over the woman's visible flesh as she winced and tried to cover her eyes with her arms.
Soon the salt crafted twister would subside. Fuu stood there with her face still covered and scratched up. "Aghhh, I can't see!" Fuu complained as she dropped her arms, eyes still slammed shut. Her eyes were burning badly, but she still appeared to be more focused on the fight...despite now facing the wrong way. "Screw eyes! I can still toss ya around without e-"
Before she could finish, the girl was suddenly struck with another spell, a spear made of salt that she did not see coming! The impact caused Fuu to fall to her back with a thud and the hex attached to it was able to go through, slowly absorbing the girl's mana. "Dammit..." the girl muttered to herself, before deactivating her speed spell. Now she really needed to be careful...unfortunately, Fuu still needed to wait until she could see again.

Waylynn’s plan worked just as she intended, but then what else would she expect if she blinded her opponent it would be practically impossible for them to defend themselves correctly, the fact that her spell also stripped Fuu of her defence was honestly an afterthought. Her second attack landed solidly, carrying the dwarf off her feet and onto her back, the point wasn’t sharp enough to go all the way through, even if her manaskin wasn’t protecting her but it was to connect the hex the spear carries.
Waylynn twirled the spear around casually and pressed her attack Stomping at the girl’s left leg (½ junior damage) and bringing the spear down again aiming at her right shoulder trying to pin her to the ground.(Same spell Junior Damage) ”I seem to recall a lot of tough talk about things you wanted to break, but so far it seems the one that’s going to break first is you. You’re acting like you’re mad but if this is the best you’ve got then I’m inclined to think you never really thought you could win. Still distracted? Got some excuse? I don’t care” Regardless of whether or not Fuu has gotten out of her position on the ground Waylynn was going to fire another spell at her, she was only getting more aggressive as the battle went on, the rocky start was a distant memory for her at this point. ”Salt Shot!”(Junior, Knockback) She was the one aiming for the face this time, if being petty and vengeful was a contest she’d be winning it right about now.
It honestly didn’t matter, Waylynn was far from beaten in spite of taking a few hits, and some for free at that she could tell Fuu was the one worse for wear, and now she was bleeding Mana on top of it. ”Done yet? I can keep going for quite a while more.”

Fuu laid there back first on the ground. She didn't understand...Why were these woman's attacks starting to hurt the dwarf now? Right...Hexes. The earth mage had a hex of her own, but given the current situation, it wouldn't help her much. This was the opposite of how the young heiress wanted things to play out...and it just continued to make her furious.
Attempting to get back on her feet, Fuu found her attempt to be quickly dashed away as she felt Waylynn's foot come crashing down against one of her legs! Since the salt mage's other hex was no longer active, Fuu's reinforcement spell was active again, causing the girl to not take any damage...at least not physically. The last time a Ravencrest did this to Fuu it broke bones, and even though this didn't yield the same results, the memories flooded back into Fuu's mind, causing the girl to pause for a moment, just enough time for the salt mage to dive her spear into the teens shoulder which unlike the previous attack, actually hurt!
The girl winced and grit her teeth. She glared at Waylynn silently as she continued her little trash talk. Fuu hated this, every moment of it. This feeling of being weak, and helpless...being brought down by some fresh blood. She's starting to get real tired of being stepped on, and being reminded of how weak she is.
"Gaia's Emergence..." the girl muttered as her grimoire started to glow. The aura already surrounding her started to flare up more as two stone constructs formed around Fuu's head, one hovering over each shoulder. She then managed to roll away from the salt mage, a part of her sleeve ripping off from the spear before she quickly stood herself up.
Waylynn fired off one of her salt spells again, and in return, Fuu fired one of her floating stones at the incoming spell! If the two spells end up clashing, they'll find themselves canceling each other out.
"Ya know what? You're right..." Fuu sighed before glancing over to Valo. "I have been distracted...and making up nothin but excuses for myself." She then shifted her attention back to Waylynn. "I've been so down on myself lately, doing nothing but making these imaginary barriers around myself that would just keep closing, and closing in..." She then started to remove her Terra Gloves, stuffing them into her pockets.
“Never lose yourself to defeatism. Chin up. Look forward and up.”
"That is what the Vice Cap-What Artemis told me once..." Wise words that the young dwarf had nearly forgotten about. Remembering those words were enough to make Fuu smile, something she hasn't been able to do for quite some time. "I'm glad you're not done yet....because I'm looking forward to giving you a proper ass beating." she claimed, her smile now formed into a smirk.
Now more focused, and a bit more at ease, Fuu was ready to continue this without all of that self-loathing clouding her.
The dwarf extended one of her arms out forward, sending the second floating stone flying at Waylynn, aiming for the girl's face (Jr Damage), but before it could potentially reach its mark, Fuu had started to dash at the salt mage and shorty after the first attack would hit, Fuu would use her running start to leap up a bit and attempt to thrust one of her knees against the lower half of the salt mage's stomach (Jr Damage)!

With her grimoire flipped to the right page, a light brown aura surrounds herself, boosting her physical strength while conjuring a piece of stone (can create an additional piece per ten control gained), no bigger than Fuu's head and roughly rectangular in shape. The stone floats idly around Fuu for the duration of the spell, but can be used as a projectile, sending it flying with a gesture of her hand until it reaches its maximum range or comes into physical contact with something/someone with enough force to deal blunt damage and knock them back two meters (an additional five meters per ten power gained) before breaking apart. If the target's face is unprotected and struck by this spell, it will break apart and blind the target(s) for one post.

She was getting glared at, ah, now that was an expression she was used to, others that decided they wanted to blame someone else for their own weakness. She didn’t often see it before someone decided to act though, but she couldn’t say that she didn’t welcome it if the girl was going to stop holding back. She wasn’t going to make the mistake of being taken off balance by the other girl starting to stand, she simply allowed her to roll away since she was getting torn up by the spear anyhow. Waylynn wasn’t so dumb as to simply charge in right after her spell had been cancled out by another, she was sure there was something else to it.
The little speech she gave though, something about it tickled Waylynn of course getting distracted in the middle of a battle wasn’t what she would normally do, but she couldn’t help herself. She managed not to fully belt out in hysterical laughter, simply chuckling a bit as she talked. ”That’s just, ha, so simple and obvious. Really? That’s all it’s gonna take to get you on top of your game. Come-” She really shouldn’t have stopped looking directly at Fuu because as soon as she whipped back to call her over again she got smacked in the face with a rock, of course the damage was mostly eaten by her manaskin but still she had started flying back. She jammed her spear into the ground to not only slow herself down but to keep herself standing, there was a follow up, she knew there would be one but even putting her hand in the way didn’t really stop it. All she managed to do was get her own hand pushed into her stomach as the kick hit her forearm, that was stronger than the last time she got kicked.
Unfortunately her block was only mildly possible because she had guessed which spot Fuu would attack. She couldn’t stop the damage but she could lash back, she grabbed at the leg hoping to stick the dwarf in position, swinging the spear again trying to land a hit even without her eyes(Junior Damage). She didn’t even open them, it would only make the dirt sting more so she clamped them shut and ignored it until she thought she would be able to blink it away. She didn't stop smiling though, in spite of the fact that she was taking hits to the face and gut, Waylynn hardly ever got to fight with someone so close to the same power as she was, it was exactly what she looked for even if her words didn't match, she wanted a challenge. If she happened to accidentally help that challenge through an emotional block they were having well, she could take credit for that later. ”I seem to recall knocking you down when you couldn’t see. Get Serious! You should be stronger by all rights, hit me harder!” Waylynn put her hand out to the side, hovering over her grimoire the mana was swirling over her hand. ”Try another, Salt-nado”(junior damage) She whipped the salt around her again, hopefully this would be enough to actually hit, despite her wild grin she disliked not being able to actually face her opponent.
She was also running low on mana, but she could solve that; with the distraction her last spell was making she breathed quickly, she would be able to draw in more mana now that her adrenaline was spiking again.
