"Promise?"

Hans nodded in response but knowing full well that a nod wouldn't be enough, the merc smiled softly before saying, "I Promise." Hans will make sure that he comes back alive and straight into the arms of his beloved. Whatever it takes, even if it means moving heaven and earth then so be it.

After he finished talking, the merc was taken a bit off guard by the sudden tight embrace of the sound mage....but then he smiled once more. At this point, he should not be surprised about this. He listened to Suna's whisper before closing his eyes and wrapping his arms around her in return. "Nothing will keep us apart, Suna...Nothing." Hans whispered reassuringly into her ear before holding his lady closer. During the early stages of their relationship, Hans felt...a bit fearful about this relationship. He thought that these feelings he felt towards Suna were making him just a little bit soft...but now he sees that softness as a strength rather than a hindrance. There is not a single part of Hans that wishes he could go back to the days before he met Suna. This...no, she is his future, and the dark mage will not have it any other way.

With that cleared up, the merc escorted Suna back to her home and much to the man's surprise, Verena was gone. It finally donned on Hans that he and Suna pretty much just up and ran off on the poor summoner. He may not have been as expressionate as Suna, but Hans felt guilty for leaving as well. He gently placed an arm on Suna's shoulder as she read the letter Verena apparently left. "I'm sure she isn't mad, Suna." Hans claimed before looking down at the letter, not exactly reading it, but trying to think of the right words to say. "You two are close.....it'll be alright." with that, Hans gave a light nod.

Now, the merc needed to ready himself for Kikka, and for beyond if he manages to make it out. There was one thing in particular the dark mage had in mind after its all over...

To ask for Suna's hand in marriage.
