[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] The reports came in quick after the initial discovery of the place, apparently a new open air dungeon had opened in Aristaeus’ Basin. Zaven put down the reports, and picked up a letter from a member of his family, Mikael Blake...apparently the young man was already in the area and had sent word to the knights headquarters, as well as a message to Zaven directly. The Shadow of Dawn was trying to take up a bigger hold in his family, the first steps of a developing nation lies within the ones that lead after all. ”I will need to send for Yugo as well...Surely he has calmed down since the little discussion we had at our first meeting.” Zaven said this with a heavy sigh before sending off a message to Yugo asking for his cooperation in the subjugation of a newly arisen dungeon. The captain of the Golden Dawn was at least professional with his wording now as he had a feeling that the young man that was his son, was at the least confused. [break][break]
After sending out the message, Zaven made sure to take a portal to the basin using the portal mage that hung around the base keeping an eye on Hinota. However, when Zaven needed a ride, she was usually accommodating...even with the comments she makes about him. Once he had arrived at the Basin he waited a moment before moving forward. Hraban, his spirit, was hanging around in the air near Zaven and occasionally sat on the captain’s shoulder. He would soon spot his family member, moving to them with an eerie quiet gait that showed his prowess in using the shadow mana as a way to cushion his feet so that he made no noise. This was a trait he picked up from his time being trained as an assassin for the Blake family. He would tap on Mikael’s shoulder as he stood beside him. ”Mikael, a little antsy to go exploring something you have not seen aren't you? How are things at the manor, or have you finally decided to join the knights?” He started their interaction with this little series of questions, but finally after they were at least answered he would nod and tell him one other thing. “We will be having one more join us. You may not know him, but he is a Silver Eagle...Yugo….is his first name. THis will be a learning experience for both of you.” Zaven finished saying as he looked at the forest before him, the colors of the leaves were definitely alluring.

Mikael was literally doing a picnic in a high mana region, at the beginning of a Dungeon. The man was tall and slim, in the prime of his youth, with medium white hair of flawless purity, red ruby eyes that could pierce through any darkness, a light beige, but spotless skin, and a face of a fallen angel. He was quite fancily dressed into a white shirt, with a white tie over his neck. That shirt is being covered with a light grey vest, which has a low cut V neck. Simple light grey pants and black gloves. As for footwear, he was wearing black boots that went over the pants up to half of his calves. And over all that, he was wearing a blue with purple tints coat that had golden trims and details. Unlike the vest, the coat was open and was kept together by a golden chain at the chest region. On his left hip there was a black leather square bag which was sustained by his belt, under the blue coat, which was holding his grimoire.
He was standing on a blanket, and he had a basket full of sandwiches, some with ham and cheese, some with tuna, a few fruits, like apples, pears and grapes, and of course a cherry pie. Besides these he also had some hot fruit tea. After all, he needed to occupy his time with something. He had some business to attend to, dealing with some magic beasts, and after helping some farmers, he got this basket full of food. And while he was exploring the Basin, he managed to stumble upon this mystical Grove. It was indeed eerie, full of nice colored lights, and an angelic feeling. However, Mikael knew from his previous experience with the dungeons that this kind of magic and it's density was because of a dungeon. It might not be harmful, but it sure was strong, the mana was so condensed that it could be felt in the very air you breathe. And as such, after finding such a serene space, the best way was to notify the magic knights to make sure they investigate.
Said and done. Mikael has notified the magic knight of this area, and while doing this, he also wrote a letter to Zaven. According to his interactions with the Goth Loli from the Eldritch Mansion, he has learned that this man Zaven was the head of the Blake family, successor to his Father, Rolin Blake. While he was in the Royal Capital, and while visiting the Blake Estate, he did some digging. After all, he never interacted with anyone from the Blake family besides his father. After the research, Mikael found out that this Zaven Blake was the Captain of the Golden Dawn, the most prestigious Magic Knights order. That was truly something. And when he found this Dungeon, he decided to take this opportunity to contact Zaven, and announce his return to the Clover Kingdom. After all, he wanted to be reintegrated into the Clover Society. Although, it is true that he has no Idea what kind of person this Zaven is, all he knows is that they are half-brothers. If he is the same as their father, Rolin, this could go wrong in so many ways. He never wants to go through all that controlling and constraining life. But he decided to give Zaven the benefit of the doubt.
As such, Mikael enjoyed his picnic while waiting for the Magic Knights to arrive. Everything was nice and serene, relaxing quite, and Mikael decided to bask in the mana and the sun rays that were gently caressing his skin. The suddenly, he feels a light tap on his shoulder from a person beside him. This broke Mikael's trance and took him by surprise. As his defense reflexes kicked in, he turned around and tried to do a karate chop at the unknown man's throat. Of course, it was a simple martial art attack without any magic behind it. If the other persons doesn't block the attack in any way, he would stop right before he strikes the carotid vein. He never felt him coming, so this kind of reaction from him was normal. But at the end of this action, whenever it was blocked or he stopped his hand, he would recognize the face. It was a face of a person who frequently passed through the manor, while he was under Rolin's care, though they never actually socialized in any way.
He looks at the mysterious man and says: "You must be Mr. Zaven Blake, right? I am sorry about this, I tend to react violently when I am taken by surprise." and then Mikael does a slight bow in an apologizing manner. Afterwards, he continues to answer Zaven's questions: "Well, it's a bit strange returning to that manor. When I lived there before, it was nothing more than a gilded cage. I do intend to take the Magic Knights Exam, but I thought about training myself a bit before that. Recent events have showed me how inexperienced I am in real combat, and I desire to change that."
Of course any other questions Zaven would have, Mikael would answer without hesitation. And at the end of it, he mentioned something about a new person, a silver eagle knight and how this would be a good learning experience. In response, Mikael bowed down in respect and responded politely: "Thank you very much for this opportunity. I will do my best to not disappoint." Even if they were family, they never knew each other. Besides he was both the head of the family and a Magic Knight Captain. Mikael thought that addressing politely and with respect would be the best way to interact.
After this interaction, the blue coated wizard did inquire to the Magic Knight Captain: "I did get some picnic food. There are some sandwiches, fruits and a pie. If you wish, you could sit down and have some while we wait for this other knight" Afterwards, Mikael waited for a response, and then sit back down on the blanket enjoying the food in the basket.

The darkness of his room was thick, Yugo was suffering in silence after his discovery of his fathers true name and nature. The darkness wasn’t natural, and normally his magic of Glass was bright and filled with light. But he stood in the darkness surrounded by shattered replicas of his own face and family line. It was all a lie. He couldn’t even see his fathers face in his own anymore. All he saw was Zavens and his mothers betrayal. He slammed his fist angrily against the mirror infront of him that it shattered and cut through his hands skin with ease and embedding itself into his flesh and causing red blood to stream over his alabaster skin.
There was a noise as a letter arrived via magic. Which Yugo opened upon seeing the Royal Knights Seal. But as he read his anger grew and he destroyed the note before removing the glass and patching himself up by wrapping a clean cloth over the wound. He dressed in his standard uniform and drapped the silver eagles cloth and insignia over his shoulder and set out to meet with the Magic Knights he was expected to serve with. He wondered why of all the captains he would be serving with a man he now hated second only to the Daemon that took his mothers life. Yugo sighed as he got onto the carraige that had been sent for him and sat in the cabin looking out the window.
The ride was long, and would thankfully take him directly to the basin, though the time wasn’t exactly perfect. He spent the start of the journey in silence and contemplation as he thought of the eventful month or so he had had. Between fighting side by side with Captain of the Crimson Lions Ardere against the Daemon who killed his mother, Hunting down the strange corrupted Mana Beasts thats had appeared in Carrions Forests, and the revelation of who his father was, Yugo wasn’t sure his mind could withstand much more.
As he sat in the carriege his mind drifted back to the Daemon. The Yellow robes, and strange smelling smoke that burned his nose like only the harsh acrid notes of a strange herb he had only smelled once in his life. The night his parents had died. He pulled the strange pendent he had recieved that night from the inside of his shirt and he stared deeply into it. Why couldn’t he remember that night? Had he been so destroyed by his parents deaths that he blocked out the majority of memories? Or had something else happened? This stone was the only new thing from that night, but he had been alone that night, left only with the maids and butlers that lived with them.
He paused, and shortly after the carraige arrived as close to the meeting spot as he could. Allowing Yugo to exist before leaving, the man left as quickly as possible. Yugo looked out over the open air Dungeon and breathed in the cold early spring air. He made his way toward the meeting spot, and upon arriving saw Zaven and another person meeting already.the anger flared in Yugo, causing his mana control to slip a bit as he approched them. The man talking to Zaven was new to Yugo, but he had a similar feeling to Zaven. He approached the group and curtly acknowledged Zaven with a curt “Captain” while not stopping to allow his response. “Ill scout ahead, finish your picnic…Sir.” he said that line with a bit of venom in his voice as he slide down the slopping bank toward the entrance to the Dungeon.
He activated his sensory spell, and while it wasn’t as large as Lady Lydias, it was still useful. He watched as the various weaker wildlife appeared on the chessboard as pawn level pieces. But he knew that as they went further in the dangers would increase. But after a moment, hed return before the others had finished packing up. “the 40 meters around us at the base of the slope are filled with basic wild life. Nothing above a Junior mages level in strength.” he was silent afterward unless directly asked a question by the new comer. However if it was zaven who asked a question, unless it was directly related to the mission at hand he would meet the captains question with silence.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Mikael’s response and reaction was to be expected, but Zaven was just as qualified as a warrior, so when that movement started, his reflexes kicked in and he politely moved to catch his half brother’s hand and put it back at his side. A polite smile on Zaven’s face the entire time before he spoke after being greeted. ”A pleasant reaction from my half brother, as is our family’s way of saying hi apparently...however, you are still too young to catch me on an even playing field. However, while we wait I would love to have a sandwich at least, it has been a long time since I have eaten just a simple meal.” Zaven said as he reached down to pick up a sandwich from inside the basket. As he ate, he was contemplating how Yugo will treat his invitation...considering the last time they spoke it ended with the youth attempting to kill him...a sin that would have normally landed him in a shallow grave or prison, yet Zaven not only overlooked it, but he left the fight with a simple warning to Yugo and some advice. He was in regret that the two of them had to meet in that fashion and it ended in such a way. [break][break]
”The one joining us is related to the Blake family...or he will come to be one day. For now, he just is like us. A youth with a scorned past that now seeks retribution.” Zaven said as he finished his sandwich, feeling the mana signature growing closer to their location. After a few more moments Yugo’s arrival had happened and the little swap of greetings were done, and as he had predicted...the Silver Eagle gave him the cold shoulder and said he was going to scout ahead. Zaven was about to call out and tell him to wait, but he did not...instead the captain did nothing and let the Silver Eagle mage spread its wings and get some distance. He would look at Mikael and then sigh. ”Save the picnic for later, time to make some yul and protect the kingdom.” Zaven said with a calm, yet cold tone as he cleaned himself off and unlatched his grimoire that hung to his right side, the binding of the ancient tome seemed to release a small amount of shadow mana. [break][break]

The smell of spring hit him as if he stepped through a veil, the sweet smell was attractive and the low light was just right for a walk through the area, everywhere he worked he could see trees and the blooming of foliage he had never seen before. There was also a very noticeable lack of sound, except the noise of distant birds chirping every so often. ”Odd...a place like this reminds me of the Temple of the Forgotten King, with different temporal displacements.” He looks at Yugo, he noticed the youth exploring the area, but Zaven goes ahead and walks into a small orchard that is situated just a few yards ahead. Once inside, he could see the low hanging fruit and the bright colors were very appetizing and appealing. There was a slight vibration in the air, as if his own aura was triggering something in the area. He was quick to whistle over to the other two in his party. ”You two, come over here, I have a feeling something is hiding in the orchard...my senses are giving off a strong vibe here...besides...there is fruit we can replenish our stamina with a quick bite from these delicious fruits.” He said as he plucked down one of the fruits and took a bite of it without wasting much more time on deliberating with himself on whether he should or not.

After his encounter with Zaven, both of them sit down on the blanked and enjoyed the picnic. The Captain of the Golden Dawn continued and said that this Yugo, member of the Silver Eagles that was supposed to come join them is also part of the Blake Family, or it would be. That last statement of inseminating doubt, made Mikael a bit curious as to what he meant. It did seem due to his own past experiences and from Zaven's explanation that all members of the Blake family have had a harsh past, one way or the other. A curious coincidence if you were to ask the young wizard. And because of Mikael's highly Spiritual beliefs, he could stop but thing about the destiny and the fate of the Blake family. Perhaps there was a karmic charge that drawn this type of souls together in this house. Perhaps, his birth into the Blake family was actually premeditated by destiny. After dealing with this dungeon, Mikael decided to hit the Royal Library and study more about reincarnation and the history of clover. Perhaps the answers he seeks, are in his past lives, if he ever manages to learn about them.
Moments later a new wizard, bearing the cape of the Silver Eagles appeared. He had a slim build, beautiful face and a long silver hair. Physically, this Yugo was similar to Mikael. Knowing the Blake family history, he wouldn't be a purebreed. Perhaps he also has elf genes, just like Mikael. He seemed distand, almost scornful of Zaven. This made the young wizard suspect that something has happened between them. Well, he decided to let this be, after all, it was none of his business, even if it was family business. Mikael, getting up from the ground, smiles with compassion, looking at the silver eagle boy, and says while raising his arm to shake hands: "Hi, you must be Yugo. I am Mikael. A pleasure to meet you, and let's do our best in this dungeon." His approach might seem suspect for skeptic or bitter persons. After all, why would anyone be this friendly and compassionate towards a stranger, unless he wanted something in return. But the truth is, that this is just how Mikael is. He loves all life. He is the helper that asks for nothing in return.
After finishing his interaction with Yugo, Zaven intervenes an says that they should continue the picnic later. It was time to get down to business. Mikael, then straightens his back, and respectfully replies: "Understood. I shall clean up the picnic then." And then Mikael proceed to wrap the remaining food in paper, and then put it in the backpack, after the blanket. He did this as fast as he could. He decided to leave the basket there, after all, it was pretty big and would only hinder them. He does intent to pick it back up once they return from the dungeon. Cleaning the picnic place, Mikael follows the other two into the dungeon.
The moment he went through the veil, the entire landscape changed. The sudden change of scenery took Mikael aback for a few seconds. Then he took another few seconds to scan the surroundings. The forest had an eerie glow, the smell of spring was in the air. Beautiful flowers bloom from the trees, pink and nicely scented flowers. Birds chirping could be heard in the distance and the entire atmosphere was truly invigorating. This was truly a pleasant experience for Mikael. Especially since spring is his favorite season. *Is this really a dangerous dungeon requiring a Captain of the Magic Knights? It seems so tranquil, and lovely here.* thought the young wizard. "Odd...a place like this reminds me of the Temple of the Forgotten King, with different temporal displacements." said Zaven. Of course this statement made Mikael curious, so he asked: "The Temple of the Forgotten King? Is that another dungeon?" He was genuinely interested to learn more about this.
After a bit of time, exploring, Mikael, following Zaven, reached into a small grove full of apple trees. The red apples handing from those trees seemed truly juicy and delicious. And given that it was inside a dungeon, they should also be full of mana. Thinking about this, saliva was starting to fill Mikael's mouth. But then, his daze was interrupted by the Captain saying that there was something wrong here and that we should group up. Immediately, Mikael started to walk calmly towards Zaven, and trying to hide his magic and presence, he started casting one of his spells. By the time he reached the apple tree where the Golden Dawn Captain was, he finished the casting and invisible shadow waves started to be released from Mikael's shadow, like a sonar. Those waves would map 74 meters of land in all directions and send the feedback directly into the young man's head. For a second, his face lighted in surprise, before recovering his composure. He looked at the Captain, trying to discreetly tell him by rolling his eyes around, that they are surrounded. Then, calmly and on guard, trying to hide his intentions, raises his hand and grabs an apple from the tree. If Zaven tries to ask about the number of the enemies, Mikael will just casually say with a whispering voice: "Twelve.", and then bite from the apple in his hand.
Mikael's left hand is already on his grimoire, and in the few seconds they have before the storm, he tries to come up with a tactic. There are 12 enemies hiding and ready to lunge at them. Thinking about it, he could summon his golems to raise the numbers a bit. But he doesn't know much about these creatures or their abilities. Feeling them, they do not seem to be very strong, but they could be dangerous nonetheless. So, Mikael decided that a safer approach would be better. The moment Zaven gives the signal, he would cast one of his illusions to impair the vision of the ambushers. After that he would summon the golems and try to take the creatures out one by one.

The forest left the scent of spring on his clothing when he had returned and seen the two blakes speaking a pang of longing struck deep in Yugos heart as he looked at the two, picturing himself smiling and happy at his fathers side. The fantasy however quickly crumbled when he remembered the reason that happiness could never happen. The young man steeled himself and let the image die where it had begun, as nothing but a fantasy. He was silent as the trio made their way back into the dungeon, where Yugo kept his eyes and ears open for danger, the young mage couldn’t help but feel….happy? Was it the forest, the spring air, or perhaps the companionship? The glass mage wasn’t sure. The ever green forest did intrigue him though as he was certain given its placement that it should have been within a seasonal change.
He listened to the distant bird calls, but despite their beautifulness he was unsettled by the fact that no matter how they moved, the calls never got any closer, as if they were perfectly located and moved in such a way that there wasn’t any change in pitch and tone of the calls. The trees also had all the same shadows he noticed, as if they were frozen in time in that position for all eternity. Just like the bird calls, even as he moved in odd ways to make the shadows change, they stayed just as they were. He even stood infront of one of the trees, which would normally block the shadow and change its shape as his own would displace the light differently. But as the boy looked over his shoulder, his eyes widened in fear as he realized his shadow was wrong. It wasn’t where it should have been based on his position and the light, it was where it was when they entered.
The mage felt a sense of danger unrelated to the enemies that were hidden. He quickly rushed over in a uncontrolled scared state as he quickly saw his father pluck an apple from the tree, and quickly stepped in and Slapped the apple hard from his hand, the sound echoing through the timeless air. The apple, thankfully unbitten hit the ground and rotted almost instantly. Yugos Hunch had been right, so long as it remained in its place, the objects and life in this forest would not age, or decay. It was as if someone had wanted to create a living picture, one frozen in time where movement and existance was punished. He didn’t understand why the three of them were safe, or why the birds seemed uneffected by the temporal magic but he felt the fear of losing Zaven fade.
He realized how scared he looked without meaning, and he steeled his soul and rested his face. He spoke words to his father to try to hide the truth that he had acted solely with the intent to save the last person he could truely call family. “Do you normally eat everything you find in a dungeon? Your not allowed to die…Not until I kill you myself old man.” he walked away a few feet as if to examine the apple, but he was in fact hiding the tears of relief and shame he had begun to leak. He quickly wiped them away and stood just as the shadowy radar was activated. He quickly grabbed his own grimoire and lifted it from its holster as he prepared to assist. His inexperiance made it so he did not realize his allies were trying to be stealthy.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Zaven was not one to sweat the little things, so when he saw that Yugo was giving him the cold shoulder he was just the same as he was before. When Mikael went to introduce himself and then the eventual talk about the question that burned in his mind Zaven just gave a smile and would continue. The two have never been inside of a dungeon before...this will be an awakening for the pair. Just after Mikael took an apple and bit into it, he was about to do the same, except Yugo slapped it from his hand. The movement was easily telegraphed and he could have stopped him, yet he did not. Yugo did not look at Zaven for a moment but he did speak to him, telling him that he was not allowed to die until he was slain by the Silver Eagle’s hand. The Blake master of the family smirked before finally speaking. ”I eat the food that is available...I have eaten worse...far worse, but for now I will hold off since it seems as though the apple was a trick. I assume you both feel the enemies dancing at the edge of your senses. I guess it was time for the first hurdle.” The apples then began to fall from the tree’s attempting to clock them on the head, which Zaven was able to move swiftly enough to try and get the two younger Blakes a little further into the area, finding a clearing for them before he took a sharp breath. ”Steel your nerves, pull out your grimoires, and prepare to fight, show me you two are worth the time to train.” Zaven said as he pulled his grimoire up and out from the holster at his right hip. [break][break]
Truthfully, Zaven could take down this dungeon by himself without as much as lifting a finger, but he was here to show the two Blake family members that there was a time to be nonchalant...and a time to step up and take life by the reigns. He would watch as the sentient apples would fall down, twelve to be exact, and began to roll towards them. He was the safety net for these two, and as a commander...it was his job to make sure he raised good soldiers. ”Well...are you two waiting for an invitation, let us begin to subjugate these mana beasts.” Zaven said with a calm, yet commanding tone. [Apple Roll: 9/10 (Sweet Apple Buff)]
Mikael bit into the apple. The taste was very sweet and pleasing. He was quite impressed of how good the apple was.It was probably one of the most delicious apples he ever ate, and he is quite fond of these fruits. For a second he thought about gathering more and taking them back home. Imagine how good an apple pie made from this apples would taste. Of course this was not all. The apples were filled with mana, so when he started eating the apple, a feeling of refreshment started o wash over his body. His body suddenly was lighter and was filling with mana much faster than usual. In the opinion of Mikael, these apples are truly godsend. Due to focusing on this feeling he did not notice Yugo and his action to slap the apple out of Zaven's hand.
But, the blue wizard man had no time to enjoy this feeling, for he knew of the enemies surrounding them. He listen to the Magic Knight Captain how he tell them about the monsters surrounding them. The trees started shaking violently and bid apples started to fall down. But these apples had magic signatures, they were monsters. Thanks to his tracking spell, Mikael could detect the monsters falling, and could easily dodge them. Especially now, since thanks to the mana apples, he has faster reflexes than usual. Then he commences to follow Zaven into a clearing, in order to get out of the falling apples zone. Zaven then proceed to tell them to steel themselves and prepare for combat. As instructed, Mikael takes out his grimoire, and knowing the number and position of the monsters, he already came with a plan. With a swipe of his hand, he makes the pages of the grimoire rapidly turn until they stop to a particular spell, which has a black dome drawn on it.
After the Magic Knight Captain commanded them to start engaging the beast, the Blue Wizard responded with almost a militaristic "Yes sir!" Then looking at the apples, he waited for all of them to be in range, which would be 40 meters radius from him. Once he sees that all monsters are in this radius, he puts his hand over his floating grimoire, with a black aura surrounding it and says: "Shadow Illusion: Warping Shadows" At that point, Mikael's shadow enlarger rapidly in a sphere shape covering a 40 meter radius, and the shadows started to rise from it, creating a black dome of shadows. All those inside who did not have enough sense to see through it will experience complete darkness. The dome of shadows would block all light, making it for those without enough sense to not be able to see anything around them. Of course, using his control, he made Yugo and Zaven immune to the Illusion. He doesn't think that this illusion could affect the Captain of the Golden Dawn, but he used his control to exempt him nonetheless. It was the courteous thing to do, after all.
The illusion would disorient all the monsters, as now they would be unable to see anything. So the next thing Mikael did was to turn the pages again with a swipe of his hand until a page with a humanoid drawn on it. There, by putting his hand over the grimoire he says: "Shadow Golem Creation: Shadow Assassins" And as such, from his back, 3 cloaked shadow humanoids formed, kneeling behind Mikael. Then, he uttered one word, with a stone cold and serious face: "Kill" The very next fraction of second, the Shadow Golems charged towards the apples, passing Mikael. The wind from their acceleration would make his coat flutter. As they were charging, they open their palms and spread their fingers, which then elongates into sharp claws. Two of the golems claw at an apple monster simultaneously, from each side, killing it instantly. The remaining golem would claw another apple monster, leaving some nasty claw marks on it, and heavily damaging it.
For now Mikael decides to stay put and monitor the situation using his tracking spell, rather than join the fight. Besides, given how they are caught in the illusion, there is no need for him to attack personally. Now that he has taken away the sight of the monsters, it would be easier for others to take them down.

The his shadow envelops the designated area in a cocoon of swirling shadows of up to 10 meters, and additional 10 meters for every 10 control the user has. The shadow is just a visual Illusion, however it only affects those inside of the cocoon. Those trapped inside are able to see through the shadow Cocoon with high enough sensory, but those outside the cocoon, will see it as a shadow dome and will not be able to penetrate it without high enough sense. Inside the cocoon of shadow, everything will seem very dark and it will become hard to pinpoint just where an attack will come from next, affect their sense of orientation in such way that they get lost inside and hopefully covering the tracks of any that enter be it for good reasoning or more nefarious means. With the required control, the user may use Ammo Rules to protect his allies from the effects of the spell. The more the spell is active the more clear the vision inside it becomes, thus reducing the required sensory to see through by 2 each new round.
What a foolish thing to do, Yugo thought chastising himself for allowing his personal feelings to get in the way of the dungeon. Zaven was strong and as such even if the apple had been dangerous it was little doubt it would cause harm to the Captain of the Golden Dawn…His own father was the captain of one of the the strongest squads. He was…annoyed at that fact, and yet somehow he wanted nothing more then to just exist along side his father. But that feeling was tempered by the fact that that feeling came with the knowledge his entire life was a lie. Worst of all, he was at a lost for what could be done about it. He had no solutions to this problem he was now stuck with, and to the boy who tried to have a solution to everything that irked him.
As the situation quickly escalated, Yugo took quick note of his commanding officers order and he responded quickly and without challange, though deep in side he wondered why he so easily accepted his fathers orders and Arderes orders and yet had issue obeying Lydias. As he opened his senses up, he was barely able to outstep the falling apple beasts, each no bigger then a real apple and besides the giant teeth and strange plant limbs, looked as delicious as an apple can be. He summoned up his grimoire, unaware of the damage it had sustained in his…skirmish with Zaven. If looks at, the book would be as crystal clear as glass should be. Yet Yugos aura was… muddied, and confused. Showing that his mind was effected by what he had gone through with his father even if he did not know it yet.
He kicked one of the smaller apples away as it tried to grab hold of him as it fell, the sound it made was like a cartoonish yell as it was sent flying away from the young magic knight. The silver haired blake kicked a second apple, this time it used his leg as a flip board attempting to using its limbs to flip closer toward Yugos face. He smacked it away with a side hammer fist and it went flying away. None of his spells were useful for close combat and as such he did not use a single spell. But he didn’t actively fight as well, only able to defend and move. However, just as suddenly Yugo felt magic wash over him from the third man in their group. Yugo was certain it was an illusion spell, based on the strange feeling he was having of mana shielding him from something. The apple creatures seemed blinded, and acted like they were wandering in a dark room. Yugo understood quickly, another shadow user.
Was this also another child of Zaven? Was he introducing him to his half Brother? Was he simply another family member he did not know? Yugos thoughts distracted him once again as he did not realize a few of the apple creatures had grabbed onto him and were climbing up his side. He felt one bite into his mana shielding, and the Magic Knight realized his danger. He grabbed the one biting him and tossed it off, followed quickly by the two other who had started climbing. He made his way toward Zaven and tried to be as useful as possible.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] With the apple knocked from his hands he blinked in such a way that made him look confused but he did not have to say anything more as Yugo seemed to regain his composure for the time being and the two Blakes with him listened to his orders and got ready for combat. Mikael quickly summoned his own golems, along with adding an illusion for their enemies. Yugo also sprung to action which was a welcome sight. ”Good...I don’t have to speak twice.” Zaven said as one of the apple’s jumped at him, but was unfortunately too slow for Zaven to care about so, as it entered melee range he grabbed the creature and clenched his fist suddenly...crushing the creature without another thought. ”Weak…” Zaven remarked before another apple smacked into his gut as another two attacked his left leg. Their futile attempts did not incur much of a strain on his mana shield but he knew that any sort of prolonged exposure would be detrimental so he spread his fearful aura, making his presence akin to that of a monster before watching them fall down onto the ground, he took his axe from his back and with a single slice through...cut all three apples cleanly before the odd creatures fell dead. [break][break]
”Watch your surroundings, they have barely any fear so I doubt an illusion will do much more than to confuse their targets. Kill them and let us move on.” Zaven said with a calm tone, much different than when he called the creatures weak. He would wait for the two to be done with their creatures before calling out to them. ”Let us move on, before we get tangled up in even more of these damn creatures.” He said as he began to lead the team through the clearing in the orchard to the end of the area. The meadows coming up looked like a prime place for ambush or to raise farm animals if this was a normal area. All in all though the place was a paradise that would only be rivaled by a place forgotten by The Shattering. [break][break]
Area 2 386/2000 [break][break]
Walking into the meadow without a care he reached out with his mana sensory and found the information he needed from the get go, and to add validity to his statement. There were 6 mana signatures that were of something he had not met yet, as well as 3 more familiar signatures like the creatures the team had just gotten through fighting. He looked back at the two that were with him, he moved at their pace, but kept to the head to ensure their safety. ”Looks like we have another ambush point as we move deeper into the meadow. Stay tight and watch around you, let me know now if you do not feel comfortable...I will summon a golem to route them out.” The Shadow of Dawn was very matter of fact in what he said and tried not to mince words too much, but he did care for his family members and wanted them to both survive and to become beacons for the country he was about to establish...though he could not tell them this fact just yet. [break][break]
If they agreed to move on he was already holding his axe in his right hand, perched upon his shoulder, Hraban was sitting atop the top of the axe just dangling his legs nonchalantly as he watched the two younger Blakes behind Zaven. The raven shadow spirit did not say much, but he did begin to put a few pieces together that Zaven had not yet told these two...this was all a training exercise...the madman was leading his family through a deathtrap in order to enhance their strength...what kind of psycho...well the spirit also ended up in a treasure vault for a time so it could not quite BLAME the elder Blake so the spirit just sat quietly and looked to Yugo and spoke to him in a very deliberate tone. ”How are you feeling since your visit to the Golden Dawn? I do not sense the malicious spirit that attacked Zaven and took over your body...have you managed to completely conquer it?” Hraban spoke very openly, not minding that Mikael could hear it at all, and in this Hraban looked at Yugo with a gaze that was more apologetic than curious.
The truth of the matter was that Yugo was weak, but not weak enough to be taken out by simple apples. He wondered what strange and powerful nature magic could have made an area like this. He dodged lithely around the apples, having struggled at first as he wasn’t used to their movement style but now he was able to dodge them with little issue. he kicked each one that threatened to get him shattering their fruity bodies into a chunky mess as he soon found himself with only one apple left. He simply kicked it away from him and his group as it jumped at him, each piece separating as it flew.
He was finally finished with his work, as when he returned to the main group, the other blake made his way back to the entrance, Most Likely to ask for additional resources. But Yugo didn’t care either way. But as he made his way toward his biological father, he passed by the half buried corpse of a former adventurer. His gear… looked ancient, old enough that it should be in an acadamy for study. He knelt softly in front of the long forgotten set of bones and placed a hand upon the mossy breast plate to reveal a Magic Knights Symbol. He couldn’t make out which group it belong to due to the age and rust. But he would at least report it to Zaven as it could mean information for this Dungeon existed already in the archives.
As he was about to stand he leave, he noticed the knights swords lay next to him, 4 in total and each designed to be held two on each side. Yugo would smile and take the 4 blades for himself. They were rusty as all hell, and would probably break after a few hits or if used to block anything to agressive. But he would at least make sure that they were taken back if possible, however right now he needed something to increase his survival chances. As he stood up and adjusted their placement, he noticed the faintest of magical traces. Not enough to call upon and use, but it could easily be examined by skilled magic users and determined who it belonged to in the records and what the blades were enchanted with. He soon found himself standing back with Zaven and would nod after he spoke.
As they walked, he once again found himself thinking of the dungeon. What could have caused such a life filled place to be made so insanely non safe for lifeforms from outside the dungeons area of effect. But soon enough, they entered a meadow, and as Zaven went on high alert, Yugo considered taking him up on his offer, But he didn’t get the chance to answer before Hrabin spoke. Yugo smiled and drew two of the rusty swords and looked at Hrabin. “Im doing just fine, That foul presence hasn’t roused its ugly head yet. But rest assure, ill make sure to steer him toward you and father as best I can. besides, Like i told father...I plan to stand by his side as a Captain, and i cant do that and be weak enough for an enemy to take me over.”
He stood next to his father and smiled knowing thanks to his father they would be prepared for the ambush. “I know if I die here youll bury me with mom. So just in case…if you die, ill make sure your buried with her too. Mom would like that I think.”
[attr=class, cyrustext]It wasn't often that Cyrus was joined a dungeon expedition after it had already started; as a matter of fact, now that the thought crossed his mind, he was quite certain that this would be the first time he had done so. The Four Seasons, so the dungeon had come to be known as, was a recently discovered location, and Zaven had taken a few of his relatives along with him to investigate. Knowing as much as he did about Zaven, he doubted very much that the Captain required any sort of back up; from what the reports had told them, it was well below a level that could challenge the leader of the Golden Dawn.
So why was Cyrus now approaching the dungeon? Well for starters, he was curious about what a more forested dungeon could be like, and so wanted to see for himself. The second reason, however, was that he was asked to join a recent acquaintance of his in her own investigation of the location.
"So this is the place?" Asked Zarya Laguna, a short girl with a mostly uninterested expression on her face as she looked upon the colorful leaves that marked the entrance; a stark difference from the greens of the leaves he could see in the distance going the opposite direction.
Zarya was a former member of the Green Mantis Magic Knight squad that he recently met face to face, having sought her out after learning that she left the Knights to pursue her own research on the events of the Shatter. They decided to cooperate, given their shared interest in the event.
As for the dungeon, however, Zarya was mostly interested in it for more personal reasons; a family heirloom of the Laguna family that had been lost in a dungeon when her elder brother died. Nobody knew the name of the dungeon, so she was determined to scour every last one in hopes of finding their family's ancestral lantern.
"It would appear so." Cyrus answered simply, watching as a young man emerged from the dungeon and left. The sight made the pair, as well as Cyrus' spirit companion Hama, arch an eyebrow. "Looks like we might have some company inside!" The spirit said, sounding interested. The Vice Captain nodded, taking a step forward as the scent of the leaves filled his nostrils. "Let's not waste anymore time, then." He said.
=Floor 1/Area 1= (578 words)
The trio walked down the wooded path, Hama taking her usual spot on Cyrus' shoulder while the man himself and Zarya moved side by side. The Elwood's eyes fell to the woman's back, curiously eyeing her interesting weapon; a two-ended, bladed weapon imbued with the power of her own Gravity magic, it didn't even have any sort of sheathe or scabbard; instead it simply floated just behind her back, like a moon hovering near the planet it orbited. He had yet to see his new friend make use of it, so was eager to see her in actual combat.
"Hey guys, check it out!" Hama called, pointing up ahead. The first chamber of the dungeon opened up before them, revealing what seemed to be some sort of apple orchard. Cyrus tilted his head curiously as Zarya approached one of the trees, placing her hand on the bark. "It's weird how something so mundane can seem so... strange." He noted. Zarya ran her hand across the tree, but stopped after a moment. "Cyrus, you feel that?" She asked him, eyes shifting towards the tops of the trees around them.
Cyrus focused, calling on the power of his Ki, and nodded after noticing what she meant. "Yeah. They're weak, but there's a few... maybe eight?" He responded.
Hama pointed at the ground. "And look, there's a bunch of them that are already dead!" She observed. Cyrus picked up an apple that was on the ground, probably having fallen from the trees above, and looked up ahead. He exchanged glances with Zarya, who motioned subtly towards the largest tree they could see from their position.
Cyrus smiled and pulled back, before pitching the apple into the leaves of the tree. The sound of panicked and angry chirping could be heard as his throw disturbed the tree's residents, who all jumped down simultaneously. The creatures themselves resembled apples; no doubt a fact they used to ambush unaware intruders.
Unfortunately for them, the trio they had in their sights were very aware.
"You wanna take this, Zarya?" He asked his companion. She gave a small smirk, shrugging nonchalantly as she removed the hood of her yellow jacket.
Before they had even touched the ground, Zarya drew her weapon, Tooth and Nail, separating it into a large sword and a dagger. She sliced through two of the apple creatures. Then she crossed her blades as she focused, her grimoire rising into the air beside her. "Shaking Spear!" She called out, casting one of her offensive spells.
Unbeknownst to the applerounds, her spell had expanded into an area large enough to encompass the entire room. And all throughout the room, invisible spears readied themselves to strike. And strike they did, with six spears shooting out to skewer through all of the remaining applerounds even as the poor creatures bowled their way towards the pair of mages.
Cyrus whistled appreciatively at the display, sensing that there were no more enemies to worry about. "Zarya, I gotta tell ya; seeing... er, I guess not seeing, in my case, your gravity magic at work is always a treat!" He complimented her. She chuckled, happy to have impressed, before beckoning him to follow her. "Thank you. Don't expect me to do all of the heavy lifting, though. I didn't ask you to join me so I'd have my own personal cheerleader!" She noted as they proceeded to the next area. Hama grinned; she had already started to like Zarya.
=Floor 1/Area 2= (193 words)
As Zarya had suggested, Cyrus took the lead as they made their way into the next part of the dungeon. And he smiled as he felt a familiar ki signature up ahead. "Looks like we caught up already!" He said as he lifted up a hand in greeting, waving to Zaven, Hraban, and the stranger accompanying them. "I was wondering if your group had already finished or not."
Hama gave one of her usual joking salutes to the Captain, before turning her gaze to Yugo curiously. Zarya looked at both men, obviously recognizing Zaven both from reputation and her own time with the Magic Knights. Cyrus extended a hand to Yugo, as per his typical greeting. "My name is Cyrus Elwood; Vice Captain of the Golden Dawn. Good to meet you! This is my partner Hama, the Spirit of Sap; and Zarya, a friend of mine."
"Hiya! How's it going?" Zarya gave a halfhearted wave while Hama greeted the stranger and her fellow spirit, less out of unfriendliness and more out of a disinterest in formalities. "Hey. Nice to meet you." She said, looking into the room ahead. "What's next to deal with?"

[attr="class, cyrusstats] Combat Notes Zarya killed two of the enemies in the first area with her weapons, then the rest with her Shaking Spear AoE
Items On Hand Magic Knight's Mantle Scorpion's Eclipse Strength of a Nation
Applicable Perks: Mana Conservationist, Apex Predator, Overpowered, Quick Shot
Description: A simple yet effective spell, Shaking Spear involves Zarya manifesting an invisible spear able to reach sizes up to 40 cubic meters using the power of her Gravity magic. This spear is then launched at the target through the air. The element of the spell makes it invisible to the naked eye; one must possess at least 30 Sensory in order to see it. Casting this spell grants Zarya +6 Power, and the spell's power increases by +3 for every consecutive hit (this effect can stack 5 times, for a max of +15).
Should Zarya so desire, she can cause the spell to inhabit an area in which its blades will seek out targets within its area of effect; this will create a powerful gravity well in an area of 40 meters around the epicenter of the spell to damage those within the range, but requires extra mana in order to perform this function due to how Gravity magic works. Zarya can maintain this area of effect at the expense of mana. Thanks to her Sensory, Zarya is able to select individuals within the area of effect so that they are not targeted.
As a Gravity spell, this attack is also capable of ignoring 10 of the target's Durability stat. It can also redirect incoming attacks, so long as Zarya's Control stat is at least +5 the opposing force's Power stat. This effect can be utilized once every other turn.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] A few more steps into the next area and Zaven noticed that they were now down a man. His signature had become amongst the background and the feeling of the area sent a shiver down his spine. ”Wai...Mikael….MIKAEL!” Zaven called out for his family member and waited several seconds before realizing that the silence that answered his call meant that only one thing had happened...Mikael Blake had become a part of the dungeon. ”God...damn it…” Zaven spoke low as he shook his head, he wanted to help his family get stronger yet in the end he only managed to lose one to the dungeon. That was when he felt a familiar presence as he looked over to Yugo and then back towards the entrance of the dungeon once more. Looking to Yugo he would point back towards where they had just come, yet before Cyrus would make his debut they were ambushed just as Zaven would have guessed, the fluff caught him by surprise as he narrowly dodged being ramed, not like it would have hurt the man, but he was preoccupied with the loss of a family member and the return of a familiar face as he was attacked during Yugo’s words to him. [break][break]
”Save those words for a stronger foe than these...we can take them.” He said as he pointed his finger and felt where the damn little fluff balls were. He used his eldritch blast spell as his grimoire flew open to the exact page he needed as he cast it. Firing five consecutive shots as sad little blurts of sound escaped the sheeple as they met their demise. Even with Zaven’s debuffs he felt he was still too overpowered. ”Show me you can take care of what is left, there are only two left.” He said as he dodged another ramming by the last sheep as Cyrus made it into the next area with them. ”Long time no see Vice Captain, coming through to check up on me or has the base burned down in my absence?” Zaven said in jest as he went to welcome his friend, or rather his brother in arms and the one person that knew damn near everything about the Blake head other than the Blake family members themselves. He was still keeping an eye on Yugo and was prepared to step in at any time should he be needed.
As soon as the words of order left Zavens mouth, Yugo leapt into action and jumped down the side of the hill, sliding down using his mana shield as a way to make it easier to do so. He watched as the last of the two enemies rushed toward him in an angry charge beffitting their animal nature. The creatures were strange fluffy beings and to yugo that wasn’t good. It meant his normal attacks would work. But he also wasn’t sure he could harm them with his magic. The truth of the matter was he still doubted himself. But that didn’t mean he would just accept it. He reached the end of his slide and jumped from the grassy hillside and spun over the creatures as he made his way behind them with an acrobatic movement.
He didn’t even notice the new presence as he dodged the first attack by the creatures as soon as his feet touched the ground. He rolled to the side and away from the creature before brandishing the two rusty swords he had taken for a temperary time. But he could tell they wouldnt do much damage unless he hit Vital spots. Their edges were dulled with time and rust. The two blades however…felt comfertable in his grip even with their age. The young magic knight took position as the first fluff reared back to try to head bash him. The young Silver Eagles eyes quickly snapped to focus and with a blade shattering flurry of stabs to the creatures underbelly, the blade was left completely destroyed and embedded withint he creatures chest cavity. The pitiful existance bleeted and fell over before starting to dissolve into raw mana. Yugo paunted, as his mana faultered for a moment, before he felt the invisible hand of the strange being inside him upon his shoulder. It didn’t help, it didn’t even lend a word. But the presence alone filled him with the same warmth as his mothers touch.
The second Fluff was about to land its blow when Yugo turned and with a vicious and brutal thrust the sword pierced the creatures eye and fell it to the ground with a snap of metal s the blade broke off from the hilt. The figure smiled again, only in Yugos mind as he watched the creature dissapear into mana. But the exhaustion he would normally feel did not come. In fact, he felt…good. Really good. He turned to see if his father had been watching and would wait for the two men to finish and come to him, his eyes peeled for what ever may come.
[attr=class, cyrustext]Cyrus kept his eyes on Yugo as he spoke to Zaven, ready to step in and assist if he seemed like he needed it. He was using weapons rather than spells, which the Vice Captain found interesting, though it could mean any number of things. To Zaven's question, Cyrus chuckled. "Actually, I'm here on Zarya's request." He told his Captain, motioning to the short woman by his side.
Zarya simply nodded, tapping her shoulder with one of her weapons as she studied Yugo's form. "Call it unfinished business, I guess. Long story short; I'm looking for something a family member of mine lost when he died in a dungeon. Problem is that we don't know the name of the dungeon in question." She explained briskly as the youngest of the mages joined the group once the enemies were defeated. Cyrus did not mind that his offer for a handshake seemed to go unnoticed, but Zarya sighed and grabbed his hand as he withdrew it, shaking it in Yugo's place. "I swear you're gonna try to give a dragon a handshake if you ever meet one." She said with a roll of her eyes, though it sounded like a joke more than a genuine concern.
Hama chuckled at the Gravity user's joke, while Cyrus simply smiled and returned his attention to the path ahead. "Well, seeing as we're joining up together and Zarya cleared the way for us earlier, why don't I take the lead this time?" He offered. Zarya shrugged. "Fine by me."
Cyrus nodded, then beckoned for the others to follow him as they ascended to the second floor.
[F2A1] 565/2000
The move to the second floor of the strange dungeon was marked by a noticeable change in temperature and humidity, with bugs buzzing all around. Light filtered through the trees surrounding them, illuminating their path quite well. "So Yugo. Is this your first dive into a dungeon? How do you feel you are holding up?" As they continued, however, Cyrus held up a hand to get the others to stop before kneeling down to examine something.
"Looks like poison ivy." He informed them, not wanting to risk touching it to find out for certain. The path ahead was positively teeming with vegetation along the ground, making the footing look rather unsafe. "Might I suggest the high road?"
With that he held open his grimoire, causing it to glow a vibrant orange that seemed almost fitting in the magical woods they found themselves in at the moment.
The creature he aimed to summon, however, certainly would not.
At his command a trio of golems arose from the ground, bubbling into three spherical entities with shining eyes and maws. His most frequently used and go-to golems, the Ciders. Once they were fully formed he hoisted himself up onto one, offering his hand to help his diminutive friend, which she accepted with a somewhat annoyed huff. She sat down on the creature's head (which was basically all it was), while Cyrus stood behind her with his long-honed balance. He looked towards Yugo and Zaven.
"Feel free to commandeer one of my Ciders for yourselves, should you like. They can actually each fit three, but I figured it'd be easier to maneuver with two apiece. They'll follow simple instructions, but be sure to hold on. I wouldn't want to fall into that mess below."
Hama snickered. "So what, I don't count?" She asked teasingly.
Cyrus waved his hand at his fairy friend, sending his own steed a mental signal to start forward. The buzzing of the bugs around them was becoming much more noticeable... actually, not just more noticeable. Louder. Much, much louder. And more numerous.
"Well of course there's bees." Zarya muttered, sounding unimpressed by the next obstacle they had to deal with. "Looks like sixteen total!" Cyrus called out to the others as he held his arm out, allowing a barbed chain to drop from the gauntlet he wore on his left arm. The former Magic Knight eyed her companion's usual weapon. "You'd better watch where you swing that thing." She warned him, standing up so that she was back to back with the man.
Cyrus smiled and watched as a swarm of unnaturally large bees emerged from the trees around them; sixteen in total, with eight in particular heading towards the pair. "I'll try." He assured her, swinging his arm once he knew the insects were within the range of his weapon. The wicked chain sliced through the air, cutting three of the bugs in half at once. Two more of the things got closer to the golem, but were met by Zarya's own weapons and met a similar fate.
With only three left in the group targeting them, Cyrus cast a second spell; a wave of sap rose from the ground below to meet the airborne menaces, washing over them with a heavy impact that crushed and grounded them. Hama laughed. "Haven't seen you use Glutton's Bounty in a while! Eight down!" She noted nostalgically.

[attr="class, cyrusstats] Combat Notes 8/16 Buzzbills defeated by Cyrus and Zarya's weapons, and Glutton's Bounty
Items On Hand Magic Knight's Mantle Scorpion's Eclipse Strength of a Nation
Name of Spell: Glutton's Bounty Elemental Type: Sap Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate | Attack & Restraining Range & Speed: 40m | 20m/s | 40m AoE Mana Cost: 20 | 10 Stats Effected: +6 Power, -6 Control Applicable Perks: Apex Predator, Battle Knight, Lockdown, World Binding, Area of Triumph Description: On casting this spell, the ground in front of Cyrus will begin to shift and ooze as a massive amount of sap is summoned. This sap, once gathered, will then rush towards the enemy in a brutal torrent of amber goo covering a wide, conical area along its 40 meter path. The size of this wave allows it to hit airborne enemies, so long as they aren't outside of its range. Should Cyrus desire he can shift the spell to an AoE 40 meters around himself. The force of this rush of sap can inflict Intermediate blunt damage on impact, while also trapping those it comes in contact with. This spell also provides Cyrus with a flat +6 buff to his Power, as well as +3 to Power on subsequent uses up to five times for a total of +15 Power thanks to Apex Predator. Multiple waves can be shot off, so long as they are single target (not AoE).
As per ammo rules, Cyrus can fire off multiple shots so long as he has enough Control. This cannot be done with the AoE function, however. Any enemy bound by this spell will have their casting amount per post reduced by 50% until no longer restrained. Those stuck will also suffer a penalty of -6 Control so long as they are trapped. A fitting punishment, for the gluttonous.
Name of Spell: Cider Spell Element: Sap Spell Rank: Senior Mana Cost: 30 | 15 Type of Golem: Predator Applicable Perks: Puppet Master, Armament, Reinforced Golems Description:
Inspired by the curious pumpkin creatures he encountered whilst assisting in the defense of Kikka, Cyrus concocted a creature that seems as though it were ripped straight out of a Halloween story. Superficially the Cider golem almost resembles a sort of living flame, though still made of sap and amber. The eyes and mouth of this particular beast seem to emit an eerie orange glow as a sign of the powerful mana used to condense their shape. While not overly imposing compared to many other golems, the Cider is not to be underestimated. It is capable of reaching a size of up to 6 meters tall, and can be summoned smaller for tighter spaces. They can travel through the air at a pace of 27 meters per second, or 20 meters per second when carrying passengers. To attack, these living comets fly directly into their opponent and their fortifications, smashing into them with their surprisingly durable and powerful bodies for Senior ranked blunt damage. Their amber maws are not just for show either, and can be used to bite down on foes should the need arise. These golems form the backbone of Cyrus' offensive arsenal and are capable of carrying up to three passengers. Up to 3 can be summoned at once.
