[attr="class","temppost"] "Thank you," Sai said to Aias as he referred to his reason for joining as honorable. Sai, however, could certainly see why Aias thought that was the case, and at the end of it all, it was for the honor. The honor was something that drove Sai as much as revenge did. Regaining it for his family name, who had served in Azure Deer for generations, a name that now had been muddled with nothing but death and sorrow. No, honor was a correct term for it, but it wasn't all there was to it. More than anything Sai wanted revenge. He knew it wouldn't bring them back, but he couldn't stand the thought of that man getting away with what he had done... [break] As in reference to his growth, Sai gave a simple nod to Aias. He was curious to know what Aias had in mind. However, as he listened he realized that Aias wanted a demonstration of all their abilities. Sai was all for that idea, as it gave him insight into those around him, as well as proper information about the people he would be working alongside. [break] Sia turned to Lydia and gave her a nod of understanding, he already knew all too well how his revenge could consume him. In fact, it had already done so, he thrived off it at times, and other times, he struggled to regain control. Sai gave a small smile to Lydia and mused the words "I'll be sure to heed your warning," he meant what he had said, even though he felt it a little too late, he would still try to do so. He knew if there was anyone in the room that most likely understood what he was going through it would be her and Aida. No one got to that level of strength and accomplishment in an environment like this without loss or the want for revenge. No, Sai could already tell, Lydia spoke from the experience of someone who had already battled and probably far surpassed such things. [break] Sai turned to his other Azure Deer members as they began to demonstrate their magic. Aias went first, and with his magic display alone, Sai could see why he was the Captain, his magic was not only rare but also well suited to the task of what an Azure Deer magic knight would have to accomplish and do. In fact, Sai thought it gave him the upper hand in such departments. [break] He thought Alva's ability was as "unique" as Alva was himself, however, he did feel his explanation was a bit more long-winded and showy than needed, but it suited the guy's "bubbly personality" the thought made Sai chuckle internally. Even so, he thought Alva would make a useful teammate, illusions and attacks with explosive damage made for a fantastic combo. Especially with something as unassuming as bubbles, Sai could see that Alva's magic could certainly take opponents by surprise. It was strong in that right alone. He would have to keep an eye out for Alva, as he felt he could become a great ally in his plans for the future. [break] Lydia came next and didn't fail to disappoint. Her attack magic, physical reinforcement, and transformation magic were all well displayed as he followed her out to an open area, the pure amount of destructive damage she unleashed and then the ease at what she caught the falling tree made Sai giddy with excitement. He couldn't wait to become as powerful as that in his own right. Seeing magic to that degree was still something uncommon for Sai, he hadn't had many visuals outside of ones that left him with lasting trauma. It was because of this that Lydia's power usage was designated as a form of stepping stone for him to reach, a metaphysical ladder for him to climb. [break] He took close note of Joseph's display of magic next considering the guy had magic similar to his. He thought it was interesting that Joseph's magic had actually evolved and changed over time, he remembered his mother talking about something similar that before, but the memory of such was hazy to him, and trying to think more into the memory caused a quick splitting headache that made him wince momentarily. He internally, chastised himself for it hoping no one saw as he continued to listen to and watch Joseph's display of magic, including his activation usage through signing which Sai thought was interesting. The way his sensory spell worked was something Sai thought was interesting, and it caused his ears to perk up as he listened to the minor tunes playing from the spell. He gave a smile to the boy as he finished, and as he mentioned the spell he was working on. Sai had no knack for Healing magic, but he figured transformation magic was something he'd want to step into the realm of at some point, as was attack magic. It was for that reason that he made mental notes of everyone's specialties and talents. [break] "Alright, I guess it's my turn now then. Please bear with me Captain Aias. I must ask for you to be my target for my display of magic. I apologize in advance if my magic causes any actual harm, however, Intend to do no such thing." Sai spoke in a smooth sincere and eloquent tone, after all, using hex and curse magic he needed an actual living target to display it. "Sound Magic," Sai thought, and as he did his mana would begin to flow to his mouth, as it coated his lips and tongue, Sai whispered. The words were barely audible, but if one listened closely or had unusually strong hearing they would have heard his spell name being whispered out quietly. His mana would then form into a visible translucent hazy silver hue. It began to vibrate out in a stream toward Aias, and upon landing, if he would allow it so, the hazy silver hue would hammer around his body, and with a clear and amplified volume of his the sound from his spell name being spoken would sound out in Aias's ears as well as those close enough to him to hear it: "Palace of the Forsaken." [break] The hazy silver vibrations would hammer at Aias's body attempting to reduce his power. After only a moment, Sai would release his spell and would begin to speak. "As I mentioned earlier, I use hex and curse magic, and sensory magic. I can suppress buffing spells, healing spells, as well as reduce my opponent's spell power. Likewise using sensory magic, I can also cast my voice, track through echolocation, and communicate via sound. All of such I don't really think warrants such a demonstration." Sai said with a smile before giving the floor back to Aias. He didn't think his sensory spells deserved to be displayed, they were all basic and simple concepts to work one's mind around, and considering everyone in the room had more experience seeing and witnessing magic due to the nature of their strength, experience, or simply family ties, it was clear Sai was in the minority of all such things and he'd rather not waste anyone's time. Instead, he'd rather hear what Aias wanted to do next!

Karro had taken a back seat to the squads meeting more focused on listening to everyone’s reasoning for being apart of the squad. Most had the typical “I’m good at tracking/sensory/espionage so this was my natural pick” mentality which was something that the young Ravencrest didn’t have Karro actually had no luck with any kind of sensory work beyond what his own golems were able to do. He was much more trained in physical tracking and interaction using his magic to help him out as needed. While he listening and waited for his own turn to speak Karro had become to engrossed in the other members to naturally respond so missed out his chance to toss out his own reasoning for joining and introducing himself. This isn’t the first time that he had missed out on a conversation because he became to focused on the others in the room but now they were simply going around and speaking of what type of magic and what they were primarily good at over all so at least he would be able to redeem himself on that front so that was a positive.
Karro listened to each member taking mental notes as to what type of elements each member had and what they considered their best specialization. Karro already knew of Lydia’s magic and a bit of her fighting style due to his upbringing and the amount of information there was out in the world about the Queen. The rest he simply took notes as needed to slowly build his own tactics and strategies for whatever team composition there might be in the future between the squad. Karro was pretty interested in the Captains magic due to the rare element of his, it was something he would need to start researching as it had piqued his own interest. So far attending this meeting had ended up actually being useful and informative he was learning about his very few squad mates.
Now his own turn had come and Karro wasn’t going to let it pass like it had earlier, “Hello I apologize for my late introduction it seems I was to focused on making sure to remember everything. I’m Karro Ravencrest, I am a blood user that likes to Golems, Attack creation and am able to use Healing so I am more then able to take up a variety of position in any situation.” Karro said with confidence as if it had been his whole plan to completely wait till the end of the meeting to saying everything at once. While he would have rathered been able to naturally interact with the group he just hoped they took his “confidence” as typical “nobility” mindset. He would show his worth outside of the meetings to make sure those in the squad would come to know how he truly was.

AIAS SIMERAIL - Work Hard And Be The Best
When it came to Lydia and practically letting her know that she could get the next day off, she refused and said that she could work the next day. “Suit yourself, if you feel so obliged to work then work.” They continued up to where he encouraged her to go after her goal of becoming captain, warning her that it wasn’t going to be easy. Her words on that were very true, nothing worth doing is easy. “Right you are. If everything were easy, we’d already achieve all of our life goals and then there’d be no point in living.”
After his demonstration, he waited on Alva to showcase his. Time to see what the Vermillion boy was holding inside. Instead, a question was raised about his magic. Could the blond haired boy be onto discovering more about his magic just from the little showcase? He went straight to asking about making things disappear. “Hmmm? Making things disappear? Not quite. It was a pretty good question though. I could pass through them if that gives you a better understanding other than what I showcased.” After that exchange, he noticed the junior mage grinning mischievously. Truly a smile of excitement for the showcase he was about to bring. Aias was intrigued and ready to see this display. He climbed onto the table and coughed a bit, maybe trying to get the same effect he would have had he cleared his throat. Regardless, he had the spotlight and Aias would watch him shine. He started by saying that he used water… Water? WATER? He was a Vermillion, they used fire and heat based magics, not water. He’d expect such an element from the Silvas, not the Vermillions. He added the fact that he had an oddity and went on to show off his spell, Playground. He sent out bubbles which left Aias puzzled, a Vermillion mage using bubble magic; Very much unheard of. Aias was alerted to a small explosion that destroyed a drawer which was a result of the Vermillion’s spell. Quite a show actually. “Explosive Bubbles, hmmm? I have to say I’m impressed and intrigued. No need to worry about the drawer, I guess I should have expected a bit of property damage in a sense since we are all inside. Even so, most deers don’t use such destructive spells, which is quite fine that you do. It means you will be able to defend yourself.” Lydia offered to pay for the replacement which Aias looked at her and folded his arms. “That’s quite generous of you. I’ll let you know when I do.” After that, the boy showed off another spell asking the squad to not use their sensory abilities so they could be affected. The spell was pretty complex in a great way. It would confuse others for sure. After the boy came out of the spell, he apologized for not being able to show more but Aias raised his hand and shook his head. “Excellent Showcase! I expect to see where these cool spells take you in the future. Good job, next.”
It was Lydia’s turn. He was pretty sure that she could showcase either her light magic or her glass magic. Which would she choose? Luckily for him, she spoke explaining her magic starting with the fact that she had light magic. Wait, did she say her magic changed from glass to beast aura? How’d the hell that happen anyway? She went on to her specialization which was attack creation magic and physical reinforcement magic which wasn’t surprising due to the fact that she was not only a member of but she was the Vice captain of the Crimson Lions Magic Knight Squad. Of course, she had other specializations which included sensory which was why she was eligible for the squad. She opted that the squad were outside for her demonstration which made sense since her magic was rather destructive. Aias nodded and walked outside, letting the former Crimson Lion Vice Captain show off her magic. First she transformed into part dragon which showed off her skills in transformation magic and her newly acquired beast aura. Then she showed off her light magic, forming a bow of light destroying a portion of a tree and making it fall. Of course, she caught it before it could hurt anyone. “Amazing display as expected. Next.”
Joseph explained his magic and the changes he’s been through. He chose to create a map which demonstrated what he could do masterfully. “Good job, Joseph. Next is you, Sai.” He looked at the new member as he prepared for Sai’s demonstration. The new member first started by asking that Aias be his target for the demonstration followed by an apology. “Very well then. Proceed.” After being affected by the spell, he stood still letting Sai fully demonstrate what he could do. He found the repeated whisper quite intriguing and useful for disorienting targets. It was perfect for the squad. When the spell was released, he smiled. “I like this one. It was quite interesting.” He went on to continue explaining he could do with his magic which was good.
Then there was Karro Ravencrest. He spoke of what his element was and what his magic could do. Aias nodded. “Very well, what about your demonstration? Will you show off a golem or something?”
After everyone was done, Aias smiled. “Alright everyone, good job. Meeting adjourned. You fulfilled the requirement and the next time will be another invitation via letter. I like to give a week’s notice so that will be the case. Now then, feel free to go about your day and do whatever. I got paperwork to get back to.”

what a weird explosive bubble
[attr="class","alvatext"] Alva would closely watch others after his showcase. The fact that he destroyed the drawers wasn’t something that necessarily mattered to him, it happened often when he tried back at home and was used for others to fix it, however when Lydia offered to pay for the damage he would just throw a smile from one ear to another as a weird manner of thanking. It kind of reminded him of his father, who usually took care of fixing the stuff that Alva broke. He knew that he should eventually take the responsibility for this, but as long as young Vermillion could be careless, he would. Next was Lydia´s showcase, for which Alva already knew how great it will be, she was probably the strongest mage in the Clover anyway. Seeing her create a bow and arrow from the light, before firing it off to the tree, he just felt the strong need to clap, he was really amazed, more so when she turned herself into a dragon-like appearance. “Oh right, I should have done this outside too, well…” He scratched his head as it was too late for that anyway. Alva was happy that he went before Lydia, because after this he wouldn’t find any other magic that interesting. [break] It was just his thing, that he needed the spells to be very visual and fast paced in order to really enjoy them, and therefore kept a little quiet when Joseph and Sai shown their magic. “Pretty!” He shouted once, when Joseph spell was forming some sort of particles, he couldn’t really understand what it was all about, but Joseph indeed seemed like the Azure Deer you would expect. Sai´s performance was almost invisible for him, and even though he could see the ripples in the air from the sound magic, he wasn’t impressed by the visual side of it. Of course, curses and hexes were important part of the fighting strategy and understood that Sai was probably a great mage on somewhat similar level than himself, yet he just couldn’t get himself so excited. When Karro finally spoke, Alva was a little sad cause blood magic was something that he was interested in, being a water-like texture just like his original element. Anyway, Aias spoke next and Alva was visibly blushing from the praise he got, as if he was embarrassed. “Thank you captain.” He said silently, while scratching his head. The meeting was coming to end, and when Aias called out Karro to manifest his magic, Alva would just join. “Yeah Karro, please do show!” He was very clear in his tone that he really wanted to see some blood golems here, however if Karro didn’t feel like that, Alva would just wave and say his goodbyes to other deers, before leaving the hall, going back to his room. [break] There, he would just lie down on a bed before opening his notebook that he often kept on his nightstand just to write some things down. His initial idea was to quickly summarize everything that happened on the meeting, before he would forget. He also attempted to draw everyone, very badly with their names next to them so he could remember them all. First, he drew captain, just an outline of a person as he felt it was a genius expression of his permeation magic, pointing an arrow and writing Aias = CAPTAIN, he didn’t have to draw or write Lydia as he knew her well enough already to fully remember her. Joseph, he drew huge glasses and a lot of dots, that were supposed to represent the carbon particles in his magic, Alva wasn’t very gifted with drawing stuff, and therefore it looked all like caricatures, but he was happy with the results. Drawing Karro was harder, but thankfully his magic would be visible, and therefore he just drew a drop and colored it red, with Karro written next to it. With Sai, he felt the biggest challenge as his magic was really just a sound ripples in terms of what Alva could see, but he had a nice ponytail, and therefore he decided to capture that, write revenge next to it and finish it all up with his name, Sai Tatatsu. After this was done, young Vermillion was satisfied with his work and finally decided to do some other stuff. [exit]

Karro nodded his head and while he would have loved to show off his golems he hadn’t quite trained any of the spells need to do so, he just knew that he had the ability to make golems and had yet to put in the work to make them actually appear. Currently all he could actually do was some healing and using daggers and lances made of blood to attack either at close range or long depending on the situation he was in. So shying away from making any golems he instead used his two attack spells to summon the max amount of lances and daggers he was currently able to do so with and made them fly around before having them disappear. “While it isn’t golems this is just another bit of my ability that is brought to the squad next meeting I’ll make sure to prepare the best golems anyone has seen.” Karro said with confidence and excitement. The captain dismissed the group after everyone had shown their abilities and what they brought to the table allowing them to return to whatever it was that they were doing prior to the meeting. Karro waved goodbye to everyone and gave proper respect to his cousin and the captain before also returning to his room to brainstorm some new idea for spells and the like.

Joseph smiled, feeling some relief that all of this was over. “I hope we can all get along and work together well in the future.” A few of the people he had met didn't seem to be what one would expect from those in azure deer, but maybe that wasn't a bad thing. They were the magic knight group that was supposed to specialize in tracking and gathering information. There was no reason to not include a wide variety of skills. The meeting was already over, so he begun to leave. There would need to be forgiveness towards Lydia, it just wouldn't be immediate. She hadn't changed at all, personality wise. This meant she would be more likely to do the same thing over if a similar situation ever presented itself. Everyone else seemed to like her and trust the powerful person completely already. What would he do if she did take over Aias job? He might have to leave the one thing he had been working towards joining and being in his entire life, what he had thrown everything away for. The idea of having a leader that he couldn't trust wasn't something he could really accept. It didn't seem like an if so much as a when though, despite how long she had been an azure deer. There was nothing he could do, she had a strength he lacked and charisma he didn't want. That is to say, people were drawn to admire them.
It made sense to admire someone that was powerful and had a lot of accomplishments. His steps were quiet and even, exiting to go back to what he was doing before. Maybe he could get himself to forgive and forget by the time it all happened. It wasn't healthy to not trust someone who was on the same team. Then again, did she really want to improve the azure deers, or did she just want to make another crimson lions? He couldn't pull any sort of attack spells of any type, so she would definitely kick him out if that was the case. Cobborn would only need to find out if she did become the captain. It wouldn't help to worry too much about things that were all speculation. It would be wrong to leave if she were to ever become a captain. If you aren’t loyal to your squad, then what can you be trusted with? All pettiness and distrust had to leave him, no matter the reasoning behind it. Even if the reasoning had standing, it mattered far less than the trust and loyalty one should show towards their fellow magic knights. Being in the same squad would mean trusting each other with the lives of one another. Gathering information can be especially dangerous, making trust all that much more important. This would make him a problem until he can get himself to trust and forgive her, even if she herself never notices nor knows any of this.
He started work where he left off at as soon as the man returned to his desk. Today just happened to have an extra big break in researching in the form of a meeting. He didn't really think of bed until the sun had already set on the day.

[attr="class","temppost"] After Sai finished using his magic he was given a sense of accomplishment from Aias praise, however, the thoughts and feelings were quickly shoved to the side, although they were genuine feelings and emotions, and although he truly did appreciate Aias words, the fact remained that in his mind; he was weak. He knew he was, he was above ordinary individuals sure, he had a bit of talent and training, but based on what everyone else displayed, he knew for a fact, undoubtedly so that he needed to get stronger, that he needed to be better than what he currently was. He knew that if he was to go out in battle now, that if another war broke out, that he would inevitably die. He had goals he wanted to achieve, letting himself be trampled on by those around him, letting himself be weak enough to be killed with ease by someone like Lydia or Aias was infuriating, but also fuel for motivation. He took in all of what he had seen today as a permanent reminder, that he needed to be better. That he could be better, and joining this squad was just one of the first of many steps he knew he needed to take.
Then a late entry came, another Ravencrest, he wondered how strong this one was, but he didn't display much of anything. Considering he was Lydia's family member he figured the guy was pretty strong, just from being from noble blood alone. Though Sai found his magic type interesting, blood mages were rare after all, and he had only seen one fight thus far in his life, and from what he saw, he wasn't sure if all blood magic worked that way. He was curious but also couldn't help but wish he would've seen some of Karro's magic, but he figured it was just a matter of time before the opportunity to arrive for him to truly see, and he knew that once he did he would engrave the memory of its uses and weaknesses in his mind to combat others with that magic. It seemed luck was on his side. Though the guy's magic specializations were interesting, he was curious to know what his blood golems would look like but also found it strange that he didn't have sensory magic being in a squad like this. Although Sai was sure that to be in the squad he probably had some way to circumvent needing the skill of sensory directly. Sai simply put the thoughts to the side, he was sure that just like with Karro's magic usage, eventually, he'd witness what the guy was capable of.
Sai gave back a reassuring smile to Aias. The meeting was short and sweet, and Sai was grateful for that, putting on smiling and happy expressions, pushing and churning emotions into what he needed was a daunting task. Though Sai was grateful for the experience to practice his faux personality, it didn't change the fact that the whole ordeal could be taxing at times. However, he was also sure his personality would've most likely soured the mood of the meeting and left a bad impression. He was sure from here on if he truly wanted to show the truth of himself, he'd need to be strong enough to be back it up, but also in a position high enough to not have to dance around his words or true thoughts. He just knew that it would take time and he was fine with that, rising through the ranks was a goal from when he first stepped foot into the squad base. Although, he couldn't help but think back to the paperwork Aias said he had to do. That sounded even more draining than having to put on a facade. It was because of this that he decided that it was best to just take the meeting being short and sweet for a blessing.
Whistling a small tune he folded his arms behind his head, making his way toward the exit. He looked back to give a warming smile to any who were still in the room and as the others were leaving. "It was great meeting you all, I do hope we have many great adventures together," Sai said, his tone dripping with sincerity. He meant those words, and he was happy to be a part of this squad, there was no denying that. He felt indifferent about hiding his true thoughts and feelings from the squad around him, but for now, he knew it was a necessity. He'd play the masked man until he no longer had to hide behind it, and on that day he was sure that the people around him were those that he could trust, but until that day came he'd play the role he had chosen; the happy, polite, prideful, and sometimes asshole of a magic knight.
