Asleep while the first light was touching the sky Ivy peaceful sleep disturbed with a dream of things she had not seen not ever hope to witness in her lifetime, as she laid in her bed in a pool for her own sweat she dreamed of a elf child laying in their own blood just the same, the crimson life substance oozing into the wood forever dying it a mixture of red and brown, earth and essence of life mixing together to create a horrid scene.
Her mind raced with thoughts at this scene, even trying to grasp and grab the child to take them to a medical doctor yet there was nothing she could do as the child laid ever still, the hopelessness and despair echoing deep into her own body as if she was the girl laying lifeless herself.
"Penance!"
Was the one word that echoed into her mind, the emotion behind what it meant rippling into her as she awoke with an audible gasp as not just the girls death but the death of countless many flashed through her mind, horrors she had only heard in stories all vividly replaying in her mind, Ivy awakening with a piercing scream that echoed through the hallways of the Black Bull base as her magic control slipped and tree branches twisted into spikes jolted out of her piercing into the mirror cracking her reflection into several as she came too, drenched in her sweat.
For what felt like an eternity Ivy was half up on her bed as she just gasped for air as she tried to suck in a whole room's worth in moments as if she had none in her lungs moments before waking up. Awake she realized a few words and scenes were flickering through her mind but what she felt was a bit more surreal and really only added to her state of confusion. Calming down or whatever her new state could be called Ivy finally got out of bed, the one thing that was absolutely clear to her was a calling to go to Kikka, thinking about Kikka brought a mix of fear yet anger and a lingering desire to participate in some battle there.
Ivy herself preferred to stay away from Kikka on a daily basis because she didn't want to deal with other nobles or have some commoners kneeling at her feet, her mixed feelings she was getting about Kikka making her even more inclined to not go, yet she could not stop herself from getting ready to leave anyway. She could only think why she was having these..visions and emotions invade her to the very soul, the small time at the festival for the Kingdom and what it was really for, an approaching battle.
No more thoughts would stop her from going, dressing herself in her usual attire consisting of her black shirt and green jacket with white outlines, a white fox fur hoodie, black skirt splattered with golden seeds and traveling boots. She always kept a week's supply of dry editable goods for journeys but right now it would be her emergency provision that she put in her sashal as she swung over her right shoulder and grabbed her newest weapon Druantia Antler hopping out her window onto her broom standing on it and immediately speeding into the open skies on her way to Kikka.
It had been six months total since Jin decided to leave the House of Zhongli. Truth be told apart of him didn't think he would last this long, but somehow he had using his instincts and what he was taught. He'd like to believe he made some pretty smart decisions along the way that kept him alive this long. Only because he knew the rogue life was a dangerous game, but it was a enjoyable one.
The white haired rogue just finished another job, completing a contract he had signed a few days ago. Some local gang members were in debt to a crime boss for quite sometime, and when they failed to pay their dues Jin was hired to pay them a visit. It did not end well for them. But for Jin it was another job complete. He went back to an inn he was currently staying in Nairn, he would stay just another night before heading back to his home where Aeila was. It wasn't rare for either one of them to gone for a night or two considering what they did for a living. But there was enough trust there between them to make it back.
As he laid his head down to fall asleep his dreams quickly encased his mind, with images of his sister Varia and his other brother and sisters calling out his name in desperation. Fire and blood all around them, some of his siblings slain left lifeless on the floor. His sister Varia looked at him locking eyes with sorrow and regret written all over her face. Jin was running towards her, but it was to late as a sword pierced her chest killing her and a large circular void quickly consumed everything around them. "Penance!"
Causing Jin to jolt up from his nightmare in a heavy sweat, no sound left his lips but his face was full of panic. He knew it was a dream and that it wasn't real but it didn't feel like so. He used to have nightmares like this when he was young, but his mother Jukane helped him to deal with it. He hadn't had a nightmare like this in a long time, but it felt more like a calling to him. In the dream he was able to disclose the area he was in, it was Kikka. He didn't know why but there was feeling he must go to Kikka and soon. Maybe his sister was there, maybe she needed to be saved.
So now was the time to leave. Aeila could wait another day for his return. He got dressed quickly in his usual attire, all black not revealing to much at all. His two daggers strapped to his lower back along with his grimoire. Underneath the bed of the Inn he reached and grabbed his light spear was covered in a grey wrapping and casing. Using such a long and noticeable weapon wasn't his usual method, but it was a powerful weapon so he had to make do. Using his dagger's カラス Karasu's ability he summoned his golem and set out to the next town of Kikka.
Zaven heard the words in his head at his morning training, it rang out like a church bell on a fog filled morning...like trying to clear a path for someone...a beacon. Zaven stopped his training, even Hraban was drawn to it, the sound of the singular word spoken was quite a shock to the brain. ”Zaven don’t...we are making progress, and your latent abilities are only being covered by an ancestral urging...do not list… Hraban was interrupted as Zaven breathed deeply, the anger inside of him dissipated, or rather seemed muted for a moment as the Captain performed a circular breathing technique as he held up a hand as if to calm his partner. ”We must go to Kikka...there is a...disturbance there, and even if Ardere or Lydia’s Royal Knights are there...there has to be some backup. This is not some form of obligation though...I feel...no I...want...I need to go there. There is something in Kikka that is a great power, I doubt I am the only one reacting to this incident. Hraban come with me, you will ensure that I keep a level head at least.” Zaven said as he knew that Hraban was only trying to help him, but his very soul was aching...he needed to go to Kikka. He needed to find out exactly what the issue was and what he could do to stop the infernal noise and feeling that was now plaguing him and likely several others if his theory was correct. ”If that is the case...keep me out and near you so that we can try to resolve this together while also training ourselves to accept one another’s power.” Zaven just gave a smile and nod, even in this moment he could smile...an admirable quirk of his that he had picked up. ”You know that I always have you at my side Hraban, you are a part of me as I am you, now let's stop talking and get moving.” Zaven said as he made his way back to the captain’s quarters to get dressed and ready to set out. [break][break]
It did not take the captain long as he had dressed in his usual suit, black with gold trimming. His duster with the Royal Knights, Golden Dawn, and Regnum Umbra insignias decorating a mantle on his right shoulder. Setting off with a broom, he informed the squad that he was going to find out what this disturbance was...It would not take him long to reach Kikka, he was not stopping for anyone or anything...his mind kept hearing that same word...Penance.

Willow had a hard time with events in the past. SHe had been a magic night twice, a royal knight, and been excused from both due to problems that she could not understand. Well, problems that she couldn't understand until recently when she had met Nydaria her new spirit companion. Willow had been learning that the voices she had been hearing, and the rampant swings of her personality in the past were related to fragments of lost spirits from the Shattering. There were several that resided within her like moths drawn to a flame, seeking shelter from the fierce outside world, save for one fragment that had been with her before.
The pink-haired Havenite with the heritage of elves had been coming to terms with some of this, and even conversing with the fragments inside her for support from time to time when she absolutely needed them.
They were the voices of reason for her. Her little shoulder perched angel and devil. Though none of them, not even Nydaria or the fragment of the previous Willow could be prepared for what was coming.
PENANCE
Like a boom of thunder that startled her awake, Willow jolted out of her bed, throwing her blanket across the room while her body reacted in a visceral manner. Her forehead was beaded with sweat. Her pupils were little pinpoints smaller than the dot of a pen which quickly opened up wider and wider.
She fell back onto her bed while panting and huffing, "Nydaria. We have to go to Kikka." She muttered in her native tongue. It was a place she wasn't familiar with, but she felt called to the place all the same.
She wasn't alone. Other people in New Haven would soon be affected by the same call. She wanted to get there as quick as possible to figure out what it was that shouted out to them. Was it only New Haven? She wanted to find out. As the village CHief's daughter, as the beacon of hope for New Haven, and as a recently appointed Blue Rose knight!
You're gonna be so in over your head if you aren't prepared mentally. Saying that to her isn't going to help her calm down Elias. Yeah, so -- she needs to toughen up for this kind of stuff. Still, you could do with learning to be a little less harsh. And you could do with a little more rigidity in your tone! Those two voices echoing in the back of her mind were now welcome, helping her to stay calm and level-headed during this.

While Royal Knights fought bravely for the Kingdom it seemed a leakage of demonic energy began to flow through the land like an invisible wave seeping into the very earth near Kikka, although silent in nature demonic energy twisted the thought process of Clovers natural habitats from magical to normal creatures, none near Kikka's lands were spared from this twisted energy as it echoed into the minds of the creatures, "Penance!" For their own speeches slaved, damaged or killed by human kind, justice was due.
Wolves both great and small, trolls carrying clubs and even then wyverns soaring on air started to invade a large clearing, the clearing stretching out for almost seventy two meters as the different species of beast came from the west, more creatures such as goblins, spiders and Mandrakes also joining in on the increasing small army of beasts. While a gathering army of pissed off monsters was already cause of concern enough, the clearing the beasts were marching down lead to a main road, this road leading to Kikka itself, an invasion was transpiring, luckily as fate would have it four mages of different backgrounds also heard the call, fate worked in mysterious ways.
Ivy, herself had already woken up, disturbed in sweat, her urge she knew not why of invading her even in her dreams demanding, or rather enforcing a desire to go to Kikka, Ivy hated Kikka so she knew some mystical force was guiding her to go, and she didn't resist purely because she thought the urge would persist if she didn't. Her secondary reason being that Kikka was still part of the Kingdom and she needed to protect it anyway, even arrogant rich pricks didn't deserve to die from whatever was about to happen.
Heading towards Kikka Ivy heard vibrations through the air, whispers almost. But as she came closer to Kikka what mere whispers grew louder in volume from a whisper, to a mumble, to a shout, and finally to a chant of monstrous beasts crying for penance for their own justice. Ivy broom slowed down as she stopped to view the small army of monsters moving towards Kikka main road. "Oh no…" Ivy said as color flushed from her face as the quick scan of the situation gave her fear for Kikka's survival, she could fight but she would die a gruesome death doing it alone.
Just as she stopped and was panicking she felt an incoming wave of powerful magic coming her way, not just one but several in fact. "*! Captain Zaven!" Ivy said in shock as Captain Zaven zoomed by close enough to see, yelling through the air as she moved towards him. Other nearby mages she didn't know also gathered in the air but Ivy just had to report to a known superior first, "The small armies are marching through a clearing that leads to Kikka main road, I think they're planning to invade Kikka. I keep hearing this voice in my head, "Penance" that leads me here. You have any idea what's going on."
Summary: monster hoard marching towards Kikka main road through a 72 Meter long clearing at 5 m/s to invade Kikka, for every monster type they are intermediate health and five for every player.
