The weekends were the best time for Romeo Cypress for the sheer fact that he only had to spend a couple of hours in the farm before he was free to his own vices for the remainder of the day. Saturdays was harvesting day for the farm and since his magic had been designed for the farm, the serrated knifes made quick work of the job with decent enough accuracy and precision. It only took Romeo until mid-morning to finish his responsibilities and with a friendly nod and ask to his Mom to head to the lake to swim with a few of the other boys from the village, he was off to sneak to the shed for his broom. It had been sneaky enough and Romeo slipped away, headed to the capital first to pick out his mission. As he arrived, some of them were outright weird. Why did the need a model? As a fifteen-year-old, he figured anything a bit too public would draw too much attention. A library quest, a serving gig, Romeo wanted to fight and use his magic to see how he fared and that’s when he read that a tomato vendor needed help protecting his goods.
[break][break]With the paperwork in hand, Romeo decided that this seemed like he might need a helping hand since his own spell was a bit one note and might not be able to protect the tomatoes. Maybe there was that Magic Knight from his first quest, maybe she’d help? Was worth a shot since he had all day. Romeo found the first person he could, tapping on the shoulder because despite his rush, he still had manners. “ Sorry mate to bother you, I’m looking for the Green Mantis Base is? ”
[break][break] “ Those criminals are shoved closer to the Forsaken region in Hage. ” Romeo couldn’t help to be utterly surprised at how they answered but he decided not to engage any further. “ Thank you. ” Had he even been to Hage? Only once to visit some of his mother’s family friends but never on his own. He had a general idea but, well, if he wanted to be considered strong, sometimes he had to do things that were out of his comfort zone.
[break][break] With many breaks to give his mana a break, it took Romeo a while to get into Hage with a few close calls on his broom and a few miles walking for the sake of his own directional challenges in the air. He wasn’t entirely exhausted but gauging by the son, it’d been at least midday by now and he couldn’t be gone for too long before his parents got worried.
[break][break] On his broom, the teenager floated to where it seemed the Green Mantis’ headquarters had been located. “ Knock, knock. I’m looking for a Miss Artemis? Does anyone know if she’s around?? ” His voice boomed, buzzing around the headquarters to try and find the woman to ask for a little bit of help.
