[attr=id,pryHEAD] Backstory
[break]
Spring and summer have come and gone, the weather has started to be come cooler and the evenings come a lot quicker than they once did. Just looking around the normal lush area of Hage village and surrounding areas it is easy to see that winter is quickly approaching as farmers have started to bring in the harvest, trees once green leaves have started to turn red and amber. Before the first leaves fall a tradition from long ago has to take place. The spirit festival. No one is quite sure on how, when or why this tradition started, depending on who you ask will really depend on the answer you get and if you ask more than one person you could gain contradicting stories leaving a person to make up their own mind. [break][break] The most common reasoning was that due to the veil of the living and the dead being so thin things that shouldn't be in the world seemed to have been able to cross over. They envied what they couldn't have or no longer possessed and so started causing trouble for those around them. The Captain of the Green Mantis wanted to protect the people of their home from the mischief and threats of these beings and so held a festival filled with food, music and games one year. In this festival everyone was told to dress in costumes so no one would know living from spirit and that they could play harmless tricks, play games, dance, sing, eat and be merry. Children and teens could even go gathering treats from stalls and houses if they so desired. There was worry about cost but the captain said that he would cover everything and not to worry. [break][break] The first festival was hit and miss but as the years went on it seemed to get better, those who went a little too far were warned and those who did go too far got arrested. Yes, it was a festival and yes the Green Mantis were also there to enjoy themselves but they understood they also had a duty to the people of Hage and so were aware of things going on around them. Now, it is a tradition the Green Mantis have and something that the people do in the hopes to spend time with their loved ones, whether they are alive or dead.

[attr=id,pryHEAD] Barron's Greeting
[break]
A maniacal laughter emitted from the devilish grin that Hannibal Barron was now sporting. [break][break] "The veil between the spirit world and our world is so thin. You can smell the death on the air. Hmm. There is a serenity in death, isn't there? [break][break] We've held this tradition for years now and it has been a smashing success! Haha! [break][break] Welcome everyone, to our Spirit Festival. Once again we gather here when our two worlds are one. I have protected this town for so long now. I am counting on all of you to do your best out there. Enjoy yourselves. I'm especially expecting big things from my squad. You better show out today! [break][break] Citizens of Clover, enjoy this festival. Dance with the dead in the glorious moonlight. Knights, you know your duty. [break][break] I expect nothing less than perfection this year and I am sure you will deliver. So good luck to you all. Perhaps you will find yourself reunited with a loved one. Over the years I have seen many of my friends. Whether that is the spirit world or my own brain I'll never know! Haha! [break][break] Now go friends! Go with the wind! There be spirits out here after all. Let them guide you.

No magic will be allowed to be used inside the mansion, you must rely on your wits and what you can find to survive the night or get out. There is something inside the mansion and if it catches you it can decide to kill you which takes you out of the game safely, use you as bait or turn you into being like them meaning you will try to do the same to the others taking part. One person that enters will be a traitor to the group working with what is hunting you, find them and deal with them before they can prevent you from leaving. [break] (Reward for this depends on the story we're given.)
Nix wore her witches hat and a black dress, all frills and snazz, simple dancing shoes and short socks. Every bit as snazzy as she felt, Nix visited the spirit festival with one focus in mind, the fancy dress up competition. Not sure who could perceptibly doubt how fashionable she was, she did the hokiest of pokies into the line of people that were suitably dressed up themselves, to embellish her snazziness by association. It wasn’t hard blending in with these beautiful people for the witch, as she was obviously a professional at this sort of competition. They should have made rules against how snazzy one person could be, but they couldn’t without upsetting one particularly snazzy young girl. Nix was happy to show off her jewellery and her hat, which she had made just for this occasion. It featured candles that had melted onto it the night before, it had been on accident but looked pretty halloween-ish so she left them there standing up. Tiny will o’ wisps surrounded her and occasionally lit one of the candles before snuffling out of light extinguishing for no apparent reason. The sparkling lights warm to the touch, scented faintly of strawberries and changing from red to blue some times. It was a small conjuration exercise, conflagrations and ignitions, simultaneously dousing the opposite candle on her hat was no small task for the young girl. But she pulled it off. A jack o’ lantern housed a smaller candle inside it, giving off an ominous glow. She stifled a maniacally sinister giggle but decided to lean into it whole heartedly, surprising some of the people around her in the process. This time of year was a witch’s bread and butter, “ Bubble, bubble toil and trouble.” “By the pricking of my thumbs, I think something wicked this way comes.” Nix had even bought a small black cat that was supposed to follow her around, but it didn’t. She paid little attention to the fat cat however and was pretty absorbed in showing off her dress. Looking around for others to participate was not a problem, there were plenty of perfectly snazzy people doing perfectly snazzy things, this made the little girl smile and feel as though the year wasn’t going so bad after all. She had met a troll; named Mr. Trollolo, who was very polite and didn’t like fire very much. The judges judged too quickly, they decided to allow someone else to win, seeing as how Nix was not as proportionate as some of the other competitors. She vindictively consigned to make the judge’s lives more unpleasant than they currently were, for the inconvenience of not selecting her to be the most well dressed. The winner had been a citizen dressed as a lady of the cloth, preposterous thought Nix, if she had been a taller lady they would have thought she had looked prettier. But as things turned out, it wasn’t entirely perturbing, Nix just wanted to be in the spotlight.

[attr="class","tamaflowersscroll"] Months had passed since the announcement of the Wizard King, of the royal knight and of her own conscription to being one of the Royal Knights. Training had begun and got off to a terrible start, two of the 'children' of Lilith had shown up and made short work of the small group. She could only imagine how bad the others were taking it, she, on the other hand, hadn't seen it as a negative they had gained some valuable information from the fight. They now knew the elements of at least two of their future enemies as well as some of their fighting style meaning they could plan around it. They had taken a break after that to lick their wounds so to speak, she already knew that Valo would likely have started training with Sol away from the Blake estate in the newly discovered grand mana zone of shadow. [break][break] She had ventured to the Aristaeus' Basin so she could calm and centre herself, of course, she had been accompanied by Junjie and Luli it was hard for her to go anywhere these days without them. She could understand why within reason and didn't blame them for doing it, they were just following orders. Given her own punishment when she walked off the path given to her she could only imagine how bad it would be if they did the same. They'd have to answer not only to their own father but her parents and she wouldn't wish that fate on anyone. Still, soon enough she would have to be without them as she and the others went to face the archdaemoness Lilith and her brood of children. She wished she could find out more but going near that place would be suicide and even if she wanted to Luli and Junjie wouldn't permit it. [break][break] During her time communing with nature, she found a somewhat stable balance within herself albeit one that fluctuated but it was an improvement nonetheless. She had no idea if it was due to the place seeming to find tranquillity with her magic or if it was she was coming to some deeper understanding of herself. She was hoping for the latter in all honesty as if it was the former then it was merely a bandaid on a much larger issue, the doll-like mage realized that every step forward she took only made her stronger as did the connections that she made along the way. She was stuck between two worlds at times and as they conflicted she almost felt like her every action would be questioned by at least one person, often within her own family but it had died down since her father had met Valo. [break][break] She had no idea what the wraith known as Kiyoshi had said to her father but it had been enough for him to forego normal tradition and allow Valo and herself to court with the exception that they were never in a room alone together. It was rather hard for such a thing to happen with her two chaperones, Agneya and the spirits of the dead that lay within the relic he wore. They attempted to go on a date during summer at the beach, it had been ruined because she herself was pulled away to go save people. Then between training and the jobs they had, had very little time together as a couple, she was starting to wonder if this was why her father had agreed to them courting in such a manner. It upset her but it was something they had both agreed to do and so she knew they'd make it work somehow. [break][break] After some time away she had gained a message, it told her of the spirit festival of Hage. She had heard of it, it was something the Green Mantis did each year from what she had been told but didn't know the story behind it. What had reached her was warm so she was sure Valo had, had a hand in it somehow. Opening it she read it and smiled brightly as she had been invited by him to spend the festival together. She could feel the warmth going to her cheeks as she smiled brightly, though tilted her head as she read the rest of the letter. It said that she had to dress up but not in her normal method, that was confusing to her as she had never had to do such a thing except when she filled in during a play. [break][break] Biting her lip for a moment she showed the letter to Luli in the hopes she would help her understand "Spirits envy the living as we have what they don't and so wish to make us like them. Dressing in a way you normally wouldn't makes them confused I would guess." she said handing back the letter "But I don't really have anything that isn't normal for me other than the summer dress I wore and I won't be seen wearing the same thing twice two dates in a row." she commented not sure if it was okay or not, besides it still showed some of her heritage and so perhaps it wouldn't be good enough. "Can we go get a new dress?" she asked the pair who nodded before they had got into her carriage and started towards the nearest town. [break][break] When she got there she moved between stores, boutiques and market stalls in an attempt to find the dress that she wanted. Stores and boutiques held nothing that truly took her eyes, nor did most of the market of the town. That was until she happened to come across a simple white and pink two-piece dress that seemed like it would come off her shoulder. She liked the look of it, it was beautiful and simple, it was also like nothing she would normally wear so it was perfect. She paid for it and a matching ribbon before she headed back into her carriage to change while Junjie waited outside as it would be improper for him to go inside while his lady was changing with his sister's help. Eventually, Junjie would be given the sign that he could enter just as she was tying her shoes and smiled. "It's improper." was the first thing he said. [break][break] "People in the imperial court show as much." she said pouting "More so if they are dancing." Luli added which only got her a glare as the carriage now started moving towards Hage as she started to apply a little make-up. She wasn't too sure if this was enough to be classed as a costume but she didn't mind that, it was a costume to her as she never dressed like this. She bit her bottom lip as she was now having second thoughts "What if this disappoints him as it isn't in the spirit of the season?" she asked looking to the pair who just shook her head "Even if it isn't you did something different and came out of your comfort zone to do it, I'm sure he'll be happy enough with that." Junjie said in the hopes that it would bring her some peace of mind. [break][break] It had taken a few hours but she eventually got to the festival grounds and none too soon it would seem as she managed to catch Valo's captain Barron Castle speak about the festival and how they had been hosting it for years, how it fell to him and his squad to protect the people of Hage at this time and how people may even find themselves facing passed loved ones or friends. That he hoped they would enjoy themselves and go with the wind. She smiled and looked around at the activities and food the festival had to offer. It was a lot to take in but before she could truly enjoy herself she would go looking for Valo so they could do the activities together.

Kikka is a town known to be the defensive foot-hold for the Clover Kingdom, it is the town that sits in the grey area of what could be considered the noble region and the common region. It is due to this that there is a diverse range of people and backgrounds that called this place home. [break][break] A young fire mage found himself getting into trouble when he decided to steal some vegetables from a garden of jewellers. The mother of the family was the one that caught him and even told the boy and his mother that they just needed to ask due to them having more than enough. It was the beginning of a new bond between the family and the fire mage. [break][break] Over time the boy grew and where he was wanting to learn the next flashy fire move from the former purple orca. She would tell him that he needed to learn how to walk before he tried to run or those he cared about would get burned by those same flames that treasured so much. Of course, being young he didn't understand what she was getting at. [break][break] The woman's husband attempted to teach the street smart and somewhat rough male his craft. He, of course, got bored real quickly because crafting jewellery was a slow process that often was very detail orientated. Still, the man tried. On the day the fire mage was scheduled to leave Kikka for the exams the man called the young mage into his workshop. [break][break] He was just finishing up a double ring set and told him to put every wish and promise he could into a single flame and release it onto the ring. Somewhat sceptical the fire mage did what he was asked and thought it was for some sort of trinket for the woman that had helped him grow. The man placed the ring into a box and handed it to the budding mage. [break][break] "Valo, we see you as our son and we are proud to see the man you've grown into. You've helped create something that is unique and special, keep it with you and give it to someone that you believe deserves what you put into it." [break][break] The now young man gave bravado with his normal attitude but took the ring. He held onto it for three years until something terrible happened. The family that he had loved so much was taken from him. The one that had seen him at his most vulnerable and had helped him through the grief was a young woman. A woman who themselves couldn't fight due to their beliefs. [break][break] He remembered the ring from all those years ago and offered it to her, telling her if she was ever in danger just to call him and he'd come running.

From the ring, a blue flame seems to emerge and move around the wearer giving the feeling of warmth and being hugged. The flames eventually dissipate and leave the person being healed with almost metallic blue flaming intertwining symbols going around their body. The flames are intricate and delicate so they could easily be mistaken as tasteful jewellery. Speaking the name of another while twisting the ring will give them the benefits of the healing. With the use of the ammo rules, additional people can be healed per trigger. This ability heals for junior rank damage, this ability will also actively attempt to cleanse those being healed by it from any debuffs, poisons, hexes, curses, venoms as per the clashing rules.
Type & Uses: Flow ¦ 3 uses ¦ 2 cooldown[break] Rank & Specialization: Junior ¦ Sensory ¦ Communication[break] Mana Cost: 6 ¦ 3[break] Range & Speed: Within Same Sub-Board (Board if no sub-board) ¦ 10m/s[break] Stats Affected: n/a[break] Description:[break] Turning the bottom ring to the right is how this ability is activated. From the ring springs, a book made with a blue flame cover but upon opening it the flames are an orangy-red as normal. Speaking the name of the person that the wielder wants to speak from creates their name at the front of the book in orangy-red flames. When a connection is made an identical book is created in front of that person with the casters name so they know who is contacting them. As those communicating speak the pages start to fill in with blue flaming text as if being written, this is so facts can be looked over at a later point while the spell is active. As this is only junior currently only one person may be contacted at a time. If used for reinforcements the person being asked must wait 2 rounds after the initial contact has been made before they can enter, as this ability grows stronger it will allow for contacting people in other areas, if contacting people in other areas and requesting aid they must wait 4 rounds after the initial contact has been made before they can enter.
[attr="class","noahtext"] With the nights getting longer, and summer slowly but surely leaving, Noah has spent a lot of his leisure time at the library in the Royal Capital. For the first time in his life he has gotten access to an endless amount of information, and it would be a waste to not use it properly. There were certain things that he wanted to improve on, possibly to mask his common origin, but mostly to navigate himself in this whole new social situation he just happened to be at. Quickly picking up the histories of various noble families, from higher and lower branches, he left like it was a piece of common knowledge and he wanted to avoid looking like a fool in the social gatherings. Young mage kept his routine rather simple these days, doing so many missions and dungeons as a freshly recruited Magic Knight has asked a toll on overall energy levels, and while relaxing wasn’t something Noah was particularly good at, he started enjoying his little study sessions in the huge library. [break] Due to the fact that he has been hanging around people from Golden Dawn more often nowadays, he managed to catch a mention about a certain event that looked… rather intriguing. Spirit Festival was about to unfold, and based on everything Noah managed to understand, it seemed like the Green Mantis squad was organizing the whole event. The mysterious aura surrounding the whole festival has caught the mage´s attention – after all his mentor Josephine was from that exact squad. He hasn’t seen her in almost a year now, and it would be a great place for a proper reunion, given she will actually have time to talk to him. Usually, there would be a sense of anxiety present whenever Noah was attending any gathering in which more than five people were included. This wasn’t an exception, but the idea of meeting Ivy, his best friend has certainly helped to alleviate the pressure. In the back of their mind, he knew that no one really cared about his presence, yet he still couldn’t help it and stress over everything. [break] The road to Hage was a lengthy one, and with so many people attending the festivities, means of transportation were certainly limited. Of course, he could always just take his broom and fly all the way over to the Forsaken Region, but that felt painful as his back was already protesting from all the sitting in the library. Eventually, Noah would just end up in his room, packing things into his traveling backpack. It was certainly a trip that would last more than one night. One thing he got used to really easily when he moved to the Golden Dawn headquarters was his overly luxurious bedroom, oozing with wealth and luxury. It was rather ironic because even though Noah wasn’t as broke as he used to be, thanks to all the missions he has taken up recently, he was nowhere near being rich. [break] When deciding on his outfit, he knew it should have been taken seriously as first impressions still sadly mattered. He decided to go in slimmer trousers and a heavier sweather, as it could get really cold outside already. Completing the whole look with a red scarf, with a color matching his one red streak in the hair. He didn’t feel that comfortable in these clothes, however, the times of his oversized kimono have ended. It was too cold for that now anyway. [break] Everything was set and the young mage was ready to leave for the journey. He had joined a carriage that was headed all the way from the Royal Capital to the Hage, especially deployed for the Spirit Festival. This was much more comfortable than flying with a broom, however, the only drawback was the fact that he wasn’t alone. Sitting next to a crying child and a mother that obviously couldn’t do anything to calm her down. Noah tried his best to act nice and not show any visible signs of annoyance, but the truth was he couldn’t stand it. In the end, it could have been just easier to fly all the way on the broom. [break] After a lengthy and bumpy road, with a lot of crying and apologizing, the carriage with two horses has stopped at the border of Hage. Noah has been here quite a few times already, and while not finding anything interesting about the place, it was nice to see that there are times where Hage is a center of attention. It gave him hope that even a god-forgotten place like this might actually get more attention from authorities in the future and would be further developed. Anyway, it seemed like he just arrived at a great time, as there were people gathering around a small improvised stage, where the captain of Green Mantis was giving the introduction speech. That man was certainly dramatic but in a weird, sympathetic way. With the number of people attending, Noah couldn’t spot any familiar faces, even though he noticed Hinota, who was a high-ranked mage from his squad. However, the two of them haven’t exactly talked together yet and he felt too embarrassed to actually approach her. Instead, he would just watch out for more familiar faces, but no one seemed to be around just yet. [break] Noah got distracted by Barron´s speech, and therefore his attempt to find people to communicate with had to be interrupted. Everything seemed to be very open and mysterious, and while Noah didn’t have any dead people in his life that he would like to meet, he could see it being a great attraction for everyone else. Either way, he didn’t know how much of this was true and how much was a tourist attraction, but it was working. Once he was finished, the hoard of people would start slowly scattering, attending different attractions that were available. Noah wanted to see the options first, before committing to something and therefore made sure to take a nearby flyer with all the ongoing events, before disappearing in the crowd.

Summary: Noah traveled from the GD headquarters and after the introduction, he wandered off to some threads.[break]heading to iZombie
Damaged buildings, problems with wolves, dryads and werewolves, issues surrounding farms, Griswold had dealt with all of them, many of which happening close to the town of Hage. In helping them rebuild some of the broken homes and important buildings, as well as by aiding some of the local farms, he had worked hard to keep them from sinking away any deeper in an economical sense, which many appreciated a great deal. However, it was when he saved their children from werewolves and kept some of their own men from killing one another due to the illusion magic cast by angry dryads, that was when they truly appreciated the aid. So when word reached him of a festival to be held in Hage, he could almost not even believe it, as that meant people actually putting money into anything going on in the forsaken region. While he had trouble believing it, that did not make him any less happy about it though.
Once he had gotten into the visual range of quite a few people during his approach, it would have become clear to many that he was not dressed up in his usual attire, which he had left behind in his rented room in the tavern. While he was beyond payment at this point, Griswold did not feel like taking any potential money out of their pockets, which was why he paid for it in full to also have his stuff looked after. But returning to the point at hand, it seemed that there was some kind of rule about people having to go into things dressed up, as there was also going to be an affiliated contest with regards to it at a later point. But seeing as how he really did not own anything other than his usual attire, Hania had sent him a package prior to the festival that contained the clothing he was currently wearing. While the white and blue kind of stuck out in contrast to his usual dark attire, the fabric itself was quite soft.
Believing there would be a few people that would likely manage to get a good laugh out of him dressing up, the man felt much less out of place than he had initially imagined. Besides, he still wore his two swords on his back and his dagger from his waist, which made him feel a lot less naked. Not being among the very first to arrive, he heard someone yelling up in the distance about how this time of year, the veil between worlds was thinner, which was something Griswold too had been raised to believe. As an elf, he had always been fairly well in contact with the dead, though he did not exactly believe in an actual afterlife or anything along those lines. That said though, up until some months ago, he had also not believed in beings such as werewolves, vampires or demons, in which case he had been proven wrong and accepted his being wrong with grace. So if there were anything out there that could actually prove there to be an afterlife, he would allow it to change his mind.
But as the case was, Griswold did very much believe that there were other realms of existence out there. After all, the demons had to come from somewhere as they were clearly not a species native to the earth they found themselves on. During his pondering, he had missed out on some of the stuff that was being yelled out across the festival terrain, returning to the part where he called this whole thing the “Spirit festival” before claiming the spirit world and their own world were currently almost as one. Again, this was something Griswold personally held some issues towards, though he chose to keep those for himself, to let things surprise them given the off chance that he was actually wrong about them. So as he approached, he saw at least one familiar face, as well as some other folk wandering around that had come out to take part in the festivities. And while it was nice to see some familiar faces from the magic knights, that was not his greatest joy, so to say.
No, it was clearly the fact that there were so many peasants out here that had come to take part in things without requiring them to risk the arduous trip down south. This time, they had everything right in their backyard, allowing them to take part and actually sleep in the safety of their own beds that same night. As many of them could not afford to spend money for an overnight stay in a tavern down south, this was just about the best thing he could have personally asked for. Again, not because he himself was much of a fan of such things, but because it allowed these people to take their minds off of their daily lives for a bit and just have some fun. That was, once they had finished working and doing their chores, as those still took the priority seat. And that was just fine.
Once the introductions were well and truly out of the way, Griswold turned around to have a look at all the steps that had been taken to make this into an interesting festival. Since the summer ball and the festivities in Hapshass had left him quite underwhelmed and even angry at some point due to how some were just actively ruining events for others, he well and truly hoped this particular celebration was going to be better. One of the things he noticed when he looked around was at least one house that was completely and entirely out of place in a town like Hage, if for no other reason than that it seemed like the kind of place only a nobleman would be able to purchase. Then there was a place where he could see an insane amount of pumpkins stacked and ready for some kind of competition, which he was honestly quite up for. With his personal dagger dubbed the “Skinner”, which he used to skin and gut animals out in the wild, he had achieved a rather steady hand.
Then there was the other building, which also appeared out of place, but less so than the mansion. It made him wonder if by the time this was all over, they were actually going to be leaving these buildings here, as there were likely a couple of very good ways to put such things to good use. But as that was just the way in which Griswold was more or less always being practical, especially when it came to the forsaken realm and the peasants dwelling within, he tried to shake the thought for the time being as he already knew the likeliest of answers and did not feel like being upset about it right now. Finally, it seemed like they had used a portion of the nearby woods to set up something else, which he hoped would not stretch needlessly far as he really did not wish to have to deal with any angry dryads again, especially after promising no one would come to harass their forest again.
With that thought in mind, the first thing Griswold wandered up to was the forest, not fully aware that it was the site of a “Zombie Hunting” contest.
Ozma glanced around the area as he adjusted his clothing, instead of his normal eastern garb he wore the mute mage was instead grabbed in something more akin to what other nobles in this kingdom wore as his feet were clad in elegant boots with high quality black trousers as it came up to his waist where he had a simple belt on with a black dress shirt a vest over it and a white cravat with silver markings on it, what finished it was a black coat with silver and blue accents. He looked very elegant with his hair done well and a pair of gloves on his hands one might think he was going to a ball instead of celebrating the spookiness of the season.his spirit Iris was with him as well riding on his shoulder her bright dress and wings almost glowed in the darkness with their vibrant colors. He didnt understand completely why this event was needed considering the upcoming danger but he supposed it was good to keep peoples minds of problems with a celebration and he did completely understand celebrating with the spirits.
"interesting to see how many people are here though this outfit takes some getting used to im used to less form fitting clothing" he sent to Iris thru their connection before she giggled a bit and tugged on his ear.”come now Ozma you look extremely handsome its just for a night it cant be that bad” she said still giggling as Ozma shook his head as he listened to the captain of the Green Mantis speak.”you say that but your not the one wearing things that are tighter then what they are used to it inhibits movement” he grumbled back to her thru the link. He was used to more flowing garments such as kimono or his jacket which has some looseness to it to let him move better. 'how to nobles wear this stuff so often' he thought to himself as he touched his Jian blade that was on his side to make sure it was secure. Hopefully thru tonights events he would loosen up and have some fun but at this point it was completely up in the air.

[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] Sol glanced around from under his hood as his captain spoke to the people arriving for the Festival, the mantis was dressed up for the occasion but he decided to take a bit of a grim twist on it no pun intended as he was it a loose pair of black pants and with a sash holding it around his waist and a hooded top that was held together like a kimono with a deep hood that shadowed his face leaving his slitted red eyed to glow ominously in the darkness. In his hands was a simple scythe and the only thing on his feet were a pair of black geta sandels. The blood mage had decided to do a warrior version of the grim reaper and while the scythe was just for decoration and dull his appearance had already gotten him a few spooked looks from people and a few looks of awe from others. It was by no means a fancy of high end attire but it did what the noble wanted it to do which was make an impact. Glancing around the new mantis still didnt see his fellow squadmate Valo anywhere but he knew that he was here somewhere. [break][break] Sol appricated that they were giving the knights and the citizens something to celebrate considering what was going on and what had happened recently to Sol and his team mates, he had been knocked out cold from one of his captains spells and in the process of getting healed and regaining consciousness they had been attacked by the arch deamoness Liliths children which had made it even worse. And what made it tougher even after that was the division of the team since many of them though that Zaven had gone overboard when he had started the training and now trying to resume was becoming difficult.”hopefully we can get back to training and Captain Zaven will actually know how to control his strength this time” he muttered to himself as he crossed his arms holding his scythe in place as he wondered how tonight would go and what kind of things he should get involved in or should he just run security for the festival hmm so many choices for him to decide on. [break][break]
Connor opted for the trick or treating, it coincided with his usual lock picking of an evening. Dressed garishly like a middle class rogue may, for the occasion he was in pinstripes, impersonating a noble. His ashen white hair a stark comparison to his dark suit, he had been given props before but this was something else. He was dressed nice and cut an excellent figure, having a little pride in his appearance for once he stood tall and straight. Every little bit as dedicated to the outlook as those around him, his disposition was apt he thought and the fun he was having was not entirely realistic. He peered around for the food, rumours and gossip had circulated about the last season’s buffet, being that it was interrupted and brought to a near stand still by some kid eating too much shrimp. Connor piled up three wafer thin crackers which seemed appetising, some sharp tasting cheese and a few slices of hard sausage. It wasn’t every day he got to rub elbows with the gentry and magic knights always made a good show of themselves, as per usual some of them were dressed to the nose. The wine being served was sweet, thick with fruit and not unlike a liqueur. There was a nasty sting to it which Connor found to his liking, pleasant distinct flavour that complimented the snacks that were being served. Trick or treating as it turned out wasn’t very different from mugging people, except there was an expectation that precipitated the moment. Being a bit older, the season’s glamour had worn thin and Connor regarded those others that participated not as gaudy but as somewhat contrived among other things. Frightened by a sudden shifting in balance of citizens to magic knights, Connor made himself keenly aware of the situation and how likely it was to turn on him. Being social was a prerogative, he had to make connections for work, and if he didn’t do this he wouldn’t thrive. His presence; whether it was witnessed, merely passed through as the Barron gave his welcoming speech. A nice mouthful for the earpiece, it wasn’t all entirely rubbish; but to be honest, he was here for the free commodities that would be dispensed sooner or later. He needed a new pair of shoes. Meagre belongings were starting to amount to a lack of foundational successes, something tangible that would turn out to be something worth his while. It wasn’t too much to ask for, or so he thought. A few free expenditures that required his prompt attention and countenance, more or less it wasn’t the worst place to be. He knocked on a few doors, some of them were disgruntled; some of them intimidated, Connor hefted a carton of eggs which he left for interpretation’s sake to the consumer. Judging by their general mass and their fragility, it was entirely fine if the people wanted to be prejudiced of the twenty six year old. He had an answer for them. It was elliptical and had a yellow yolk at its core.
It had been several months since she got duped into leaving home, she was still unable to find her way home. During her time away she had been trying to adapt to her new reality, it may only be temporary but she knew making a scene would just make things worse. Luckily she had been left with another who wore the proverbial cloak of darkness that she too wore, they had been living, training and surviving together. She still hadn't started to learn to read or write, she didn't know how it would be taken when she returned home. Where she was taking small steps to better herself, this was just far too big a change for her comfort but she had started to draw to show where she was going, the drawings were crude but they relayed the message to Jin well enough as the task with the Wolptinger had proven in the past.
Recently she had been calling on Fredrick more as he currently been acting as a tutor of sorts for the raven-haired necromancer, he was an odd wraith as at times he would act as if she was nothing more than an inconvenience he didn't want to deal with one moment but take on a more fatherly role in the next. It was on this night that he offered the young woman a box, it had confused her but she took it nonetheless. She knew unlike most of her wraiths he had a wider net as he wasn't attached to her grimoire but rather a unique item that had been purchased at the black market. It still was in fluctuation so it meant she needed to be stronger before she could really use it or him to their full potential. Sitting on the floor she put the box down and opened it to reveal a beautiful gothic dress.
She looked up to the wraith confused "Ball?" she asked remembering the one from summer, he shook his head sighing "Not everything is about such things, you need to experience more than just the gaudy side of life." he said putting a set of sandals that went with the dress. "Hage holds a spirit festival each year, it would put you in your element and allow more than just your normal amount of wraiths out to play." he explained to her as if she should have known such information, she just looked down nodding "Jin come?" she asked wondering if she would be alone this time or would he be going too like what had happened at summer "I wouldn't know. I'm not his keeper, I'm yours." he said helping her up with the box pushing her towards a bedroom so she could change.
She held the sleeve of her top just nodding to his words not wanting to bother the wraith anymore than she seemingly already had. She quickly moved to the room she was pushed towards, holding the box and shoes close to her. Closing the door behind her she looked around the room, it was the only room she refused to enter normally. She quickly changed into the outfit she had been given, she had to call on the female guard she had killed all that time ago to help with tying up the bodice part of the outfit as she put on her stalkings, sandals and unique skirt. Once done she put on the ornate hairpiece, necklace, bracelet and hand jewellery before getting help with her makeup and things to change the indigo colour to her eyes to a silvery moon blue.
It even had a layered shawl that was connected to the fur part of the outfit around her arms, when done she quickly moved out of the room. She looked completely different, her naturally pale skin just adding to the natural beauty of the look. She looked older and far more regal than she did in her everyday clothing. Fredrick held out her grimoire with a small smile hoping that this outfit would give her a bit more confidence "You need to wear this on your side while at this festival, if you don't people will look at you strangely." he said moving towards her and placed it in a hidden pouch at the back of her dress within the folds. "It will also hold your spider lily so they are both close." he explained and lead her out of the house and towards Hage, this time it was best they walked as a carriage would garner the attention that wouldn't be needed.
They entered the festival grounds halfway through Barron's speech but she wasn't paying attention, the energy around them was energized to her. It was like she could feel every subtle thing around her she looked to Fredrick "The veil between living and dead is thin tonight this is why you feel the way you do. It's to do your connection with the dead." he explained, she bit her lip but nodded not knowing if it was in fact true so had to take him at his word. She just realized she didn't leave a picture for Jin to follow so looked at Fredrick concerned "Don't worry, I left him a note while you were dressing so he will know where you are and even left him an invitation to join you if he wishes but reminding him to dress up." he said, this was enough to put the raven-haired necromancer's mind at ease.

Dante walked through the streets of Hage, following the rest of the crowd of people as they all headed towards the Spirit Festival. Originally, he had no plans to attend the event, seeing it as a waste of his time that could be better spent improving himself to be ready for missions. There was a standard that he had to adhere to and if he wanted to be seen as a productive member of the squad, then he'd have to be constantly self-improving and building himself up. At least that's what it was until he learned from his mother that senior members of the Wilheim family were gathering at the family mansion. Once he had learned that little tidbit of information, Dante decided it'd probably be better for his mental health if he headed out somewhere, not wanting to deal with the snide comments that his relatives made whenever he was around. So with that in mind, he decided that he might as well go over and try to enjoy himself while giving himself a break from his schedule, though first, he would need to get a costume if everyone else's appearances were anything to say.
After asking a few people, and getting a few side-eye glances and mutterings about his hair color and birthmark, Dante was directed to a nearby costume store that boasted quite a range of selections that he could choose. Walking in, he waved off an employee who offered to help, choosing to wade through the aisles till he found something that he felt would fit. "They really do have a wide variety of costumes in here." Dante said, whistling slightly at the displays. There were of course the standard costumes that one saw during this time of year; the werewolves, vampires, mummies, knights, and zombies. Then there were the more detailed ones including a mermaid, a demon, and some sort of plant creature that Dante didn't recognize. From what he had overheard from some of the townsfolk, there were some events at the festival that were physically intensive so Dante needed a costume that wouldn't inhibit his movements during those moments.
He had thought that he would have to end up going to another store to find one before he finally saw one that piqued his interest. Tucked away in the back on a mannequin was an oni costume. There wasn't much in the way of clothing, merely a tiger loincloth, horns, prayer beads, and some sleeve guards. From the display, you could get the kanabō weapon, as well as a blue body dye, for an extra cost. After drumming things around for a bit, Dante decided that he would commit to the full costume, calling over one of the employees before heading to the back to change. 5 minutes later, he was out the door after having paid, quite content with his purchase. The weapon was of course not real, less someone gets injured by it but it gave him ideas about future weapons that he could make for his usage with his lava magic.
Passing through the entrance, Dante grabbed one of the itineraries, curious to see what sort of games and activities were available. He wasn't really paying much attention to what the Barren was saying. The few words that he did pick up were something about a veil being weakened this time of year and dancing with the dead. It wasn't anything that he really cared for so he figured he could focus his attention on finding something to occupy his time. From what he read of each of them, the ones that would interest him would be the Zombie Hunt first and foremost. Locked In sounded like it could be interesting depending on what the roles were and which he got so he mentally checked in to come back to later. After that, the only ones that seemed appealing would have to be Pumpkin Carving and Murder Mystery. A decent amount that should be able to keep him out of the manor for a couple of hours at least. "Should probably save Zombie Hunt for the end, leave out on a high note. Pumpkin Carving would probably be the best to start with then." the green-haired youth muttered before heading in the direction of the pumpkin patch.
He had barely managed to take 5 steps before a voice from behind him drew his attention, causing a slight scowl to appear on his face as he registered both the words said and who said him. "They really just let any sort of riffraff come to these events now don't they? Then again trash like you probably fits right in with the rest of the peasants around here." said a posh male voice, a tittering laugh quickly following it. "Alexander. Alexis. I wish I could say that it's a pleasure to see you but that would be a lie. Now, what do you want?" Dante stated in the blandest tone that he could muster. He hadn't expected any of the members of the Wilheim family to venture over here but he should have known those teens and younger would want to find something to do while the adults talked. Still, this was a pretty big location so thankfully he could avoid having to interact with them much.
Seeing that he failed to rile Dante up, Alexander decided to go for a different angle of attack. "So I hear that you managed to get into the Golden Dawn. I'm not sure why the family head decided to vouch for you but I'm sure that once that Squad Captain sees how much of a disgrace you are, you'll be kicked out in no time. But then again, one can't expect much from a bastard child now can we?" he stated with a sneer before beginning to walk off, his sister in toe. "Come sister, I believe we've hung around the barbarian enough. Any longer and we run the risk of being infected by its brutish nature." The only visible sign that Dante was affected by his words was the small tightening on his jaw as well as clenching his fist. Taking a moment to breathe and center himself, Dante decided that he would do the zombie hunting first, finding that to be a good way to channel the rush of adrenaline and anger that coursed through his body. It was either that or he'd go running after Alexander and clocking him and that wasn't something that he could afford to do right now.

[attr="class","silasreescroll"]It was the Season of Spirits, a time for cheer and laughter and lots of fun. There were events set up across clover but the most famous or at least the one Taiyo attended the most was the Spirit Festival. He remembered a time he’d go accompanied by his parents and his older sister. That was before they grew up and she left to travel the world. After she left it was Taiyo and Lucia who went together. That wasn’t very surprising considering the latter’s spatial magic. She’d open a door for them and once they had finished enjoying all the festivities she would open a door back to the estate. Back then she was calling him Lord Taiyo which wasn’t really a big deal back then but since Hania tore the young heir down with words Taiyo had changed. It was through that change that he would tell others that they didn’t really have to be so formal with him.
[break][break]
Now that it was that time again and Leona was back Taiyo was unsure about if she was going to go with them or not. He didn’t know if she missed it out of the things she missed from Clover. Then again it was four years and even if she didn’t miss it she could see the things that had changed. Taiyo was especially excited about taking Cyra since she was an actual spirit. Was it any different from all the other places he took her? Yes! It was a festival to celebrate spirits. After all, he believed that she deserved to be celebrated. She was his closest companion after all. The duo spent lots of time training and getting to know each other. She looked out for the young Vermillion heir and he was very thankful for that. This particular year Taiyo was definitely going with Cyra and Lucia. If Leona wanted to come with, he would be sure to let her tag along.
[break][break]
Once he had gotten out of his bed, the young red-headed Crimson Lion cub Vermillion took care of his hygiene before going to greet Lucia. Since they were on a relaxing period, Taiyo’s daily workout routine was also put on hold for a more restful period. As he got to her quarters, he heard giggling on the inside. He knocked and waited. “Enter.” With the given permission Taiyo entered Lucia’s chambers to find her and Leona sitting on the bed chatting and laughing. “Glad you could join us brother.” Leona grinned at him. He still wasn’t fully accustomed to her being back yet but he was happy that she was. Hey, Lucia, Leona. He walked over and folded his arms. I am actually here to talk about the Spirit Festival. Are you joining us this year, Leona? This question got a cackle from the older redhead. “Of course, I am! It’s been four years and I’m not going to miss out on this.” With that said, Taiyo grinned. Perfect. Well I’m going to go get ready for departure. Let’s meet in an hour and then go. After he left, Leona and Lucia smiled, talking between them about what their plan for the Spirit Festival was, seeing that there were going to be many activities.
[break][break]
After an hour was up, Taiyo met the girls at the entrance of the estate. On his head sat Cyra who was excited to see what the festival was all about. When Taiyo originally told Leona of Cyra, she grinned and was intrigued by it. She never thought her little brother would have been so lucky to come into contact with the celestial being. Even so, she thanked the bird for taking care of him and helping him focus on training. “Nice to see you, Cyra.” The bird raised her majestic wings in delight before speaking. “Likewise, Leona.” Alright, let’s get this spatial door open Lucia’s grimoire opened and as she stretched out her right hand, a portal opened and the group stepped through. On arrival, they were greeted by all the sights. Let’s have a grand time!

[attr="class","valoscroll"] The Spirit Festival. Probably one of the hardest things Valo has ever had to do in his life. Once his captain told him that the Green Mantis squad would be in charge of setting up the festival because it's always been a tradition that it takes place in Hage, it's been a near constant annoyance for him. Simply because Valo had no experience in hosting anything, when it came to things of this nature he was completely at a lost. And to make things worst he couldn't just punch his way out of it, like most situations. But his competitive nature didn't allow him to just give up and pass the tasks on to someone else. No he was going to do it, and figure things out the hard way.
[break][break] Over the past couple of weeks Valo has learned quite a bit, nothing in terms of magic or getting stronger like he would normally prefer. But now he was starting to know his way around setting up big events. Getting the massive decorations, making sure people were getting what needed to be done, done. Handling tasks on his own. Making sure the house for Murder Mystery was up and running, it was tough finding the perfect house for this one in Hage but luckily there was a wealthy and generous person that loaned one of his homes for it. Making sure some the women in the region were willing and ready for the Fancy Dress Competition. The Trick-or-Treating took care of itself more or less, but some of the homes didn't have the funds for candy and some children didn't have the funds for nice costumes. But the funds coming from the Green Mantis took care of the problem. Gathering more than enough pumpkins for the Pumpkin Carving contest was allot more difficult then it should have been, with the wild beasts in the Hage woods running around. And lastly for this list of things was setting up the gathering of all the zombies for the Zombie Hunt. Getting a massive horde of zombie's in a singular destination was not easy. But it was done.
[break][break] Now the fire mage could be seen on top of his fire bird golem in a black and red formal looking costume, that wasn't really his style but he wore it anyway. His face was focused as his eyes and his ki sensory was looking and sensing over various parts in the town making sure everything was going smoothly. Agneya his spirit flew over and landed on his head. "Your still obsessing over all this stuff? It's over it's time to just enjoy it now." She said to him in a annoyed voice. Valo not breaking his concentration. "It's my job to make sure everything is running smoothly. Things cannot go wrong tonight. To much is at stake here.""Pffffttt! What are you talking about!? To much is at stake? What's at stake? Everything looks good.""There better the events are tonight, the better reception the Green Mantis squad will start to receive. Which is very important. Also...""...also what?""Also I don't like losing." Agneya replied with just rolling her eyes. [break][break] Hovering closer to the ground now, Valo was met with Nanami running towards him with some treats in hand and Charlotte close behind her and Anata and Kiyoshi not to far behind. He had all the wraiths out earlier in the day to enjoy the festivities. Anata motioning towards Charlotte and whispering in her ear. "Has Master Valorisse always been this competitive?" Charlotte giggled and nodded. "Yes actually. But it usually always stems from a good and earnest place. If I was to guess he's probably trying to prove something to to someone." she answered smiling. [break][break] Eventually Valo's head jolted up when Hinota entered the range of his ki sensory, wasting little time the group went over to meet to greet them. "Hino you're here! I'm so glad you made it!" right after that he let the group exchange it's hello's and greetings. Once that was over he gestured to the entire festival "So what do you think???" he asked excitedly, now her every word being held in the utmost regard by Valo.

[attr="class","haniaimage"]❝I hear a song of woe shadowing our past in sorrow.❞
[attr="class","haniascroll"]The summer had come and gone, the weather was now beginning to cool and no one was happier about that fact than the Ravencrest heir. He couldn't stand the heat preferring things when they were colder, he put it down to his element but then as a child he never really did feel the warmth of the sun that much. It was always the cool glow of the moon that acted as a sun to him, those days however were far behind him but times like these spirits of his past seemed to come to his forethought. Normally, he would try to avoid social gatherings as he detested to be around people even though his duties to both his family and squad called for such things. Last year he went to the spirit ball in the royal capital at Lydia's 'request' he didn't want a repeat of that this year and so looked for other things to do.
It turned out that the village of Hage had a tradition, one that had been running for decades by this point if what the stories were to be believed. One that would allow mischievous spirits to do what they will, while not harming the living through their envy. It was something that caught his attention and so he decided that this was what he would do this spooky season. He did wonder if he would see his elder sister once more, but, she had died years ago in a far off land he no longer called home so didn't believe that there was any chance of it. Still, he held hope as stranger things had happened in this world filled with magic. He understood that there was one rule, that you had to dress up to confuse the spirits within the festival grounds, it was an easy enough task.
He, however, did face an issue that most of what he wore was traditional clothing from his homeland so it wouldn't be accepted as a costume. Luckily, he had made this decision during the middle of summer so had plenty of time to get what he wanted to be designed and created. As he had before he designed the clothing himself colouring what he wanted each section to be, it still had hints of his homeland but what made this more a costume was it was more what a nobleman warrior would wear. The tunic was sky blue with black trousers, the padded breast covering and waist guard along with the grieves and the left arm were with black silk, the black sleeve also seemed to have some sort of cape-like thing dangling from it. The trimming was of silver thread and the gauntlets and boots of leather and steel.
It had taken quite a lot of time, mainly because he only wore silk due to how light it was and the fact he didn't wear armour meant that the blacksmiths needed to get measurements and alter it constantly. The cloth which was under his gauntlets was leather with a silk inlay, he wasn't such a delicate flower that he couldn't deal with the leather. It was more he knew how it would make him sweat and how disgusting it would feel. The silk would act as a barrier of sorts, more so as he could use an icy mist within it to keep himself from sweating within them. On the night in question, he got dressed within his outfit even putting a longsword at his side and dying his hair black which he tied back with silver and blue cord.
On his shoulder was Asmostia who had taken on black feathers with an ice blue tint at the edges, it was only for the night because neither were too comfortable allowing so much darkness to be showing. Of course, no one would think as such but this was their way of thinking. Instead of taking a carriage as he normally would, he decided he would go to Hage horseback even going so far to make it seem like a warhorse with matching coloured armour and fabrics. He had gone with a few of the staff, but they would all separate when they got there. Being how he was he was there before Barron started to speak and listened to the Green Mantis captain's words intently. He hoped what the crazed captain was saying was true but ghost stories were for children so he doubted such a thing would happen. Nonetheless, he was here to enjoy himself and so indeed he would.
Rank & Element: Junior ¦ Light Class & Type: Relic ¦ Accessory (bracelet) Magic Specializations: Physical Reinforcement ¦ Healing Appearance & Lore: A simple bracelet made out of reinforced glass with an opalite charm dangling from it almost like a pendulum, that gives off a dull light during the day and a bright light during the night preventing any natural shadow from forming.
There is nothing of major historical importance or deep story into where this item came from. The white-haired heir of the Ravencrest family has suffered from terrible day and night terrors since he was young and still does to this day. When asked what is wrong he brushes it off telling people not to worry it was a condition he had. He will never go into the terrible things he sees, in fact, he personally wishes he could forget he quickly realized that his perfect memory was a double edge sword and at times he truly wished he didn't have it.
His elder sister Lydia was the first to realize that it happened more when he was in an emotional state or surrounded by darkness. She also realized that he refused to sleep unless every light source he could find was active or he would sleep outside under the sun during the day, this wasn't optimal as he was to be trained to take over the family if anything were to happen to Lydia. Still, there wasn't much anyone could think to do to help him as he refused to open up but even if they could that came with a different set of hurdles they had to get over. Hania earlier in his life wouldn't take things from people due to his treatment before being adopted.
It took a while but Lydia finally found a way to help her younger brother, she had a crystal made with light inside and told him to use it when he sleeps. She said it was hers and she just wanted to see if it would help. He was reluctant but she said it only had to be a few days so he accepted. Throughout those few days, he slept somewhat peacefully so it was clear that it helped but not enough, she could only guess that the light wasn't strong enough. She realized this would be fine for a normal child afraid of the dark but it was clear to the pink-haired woman that this wasn't a normal situation.
She personally designed what she believed would help him the most, she chose the materials, their appearance even the opalite that dangles from it. As the bracelet was being made she slowly started to imbue her own element into the glass beads and the opalite as the former was created and the latter was shaped. It took close to a year to complete but Lydia seen it as something that should be done slow and steady, this was to make sure that it was done right the first time and that no matter what it would be near indestructible for whatever he may face in life.
On what is now classed as Hania's eighth birthday after a certain incident happened, she gave him a box, within it laid the bracelet. He was told to keep it with him always as she would be there to keep the darkness at bay and watching over him so he could be at peace while he rested. From that moment he has always kept it with him even if he hasn't always worn it.

Being a part of the Squad meant that most of the time before the festival was actually just spent getting ready rather than any traveling for Waylynn. There were a lot of things on Waylynn’s mind around this time of year, but she would be avoiding them by joining in the spirit festival. It was something of the purpose of the thing in the first place she supposed but usually she wouldn’t get too into it. What made this different though? She had a spirit with her, and the little thing did seem exciting for the festival, she was inclined to the trick part of trick or treat though so that was something to watch out for. It wouldn’t do to have Salena out of control while she was getting along at the event. There was one particular event this year she would be participating in for certain, but that would come a bit later in the night. She had decided to match her spirit in looks, if not a bit more fancy than the plain look the Salt fairy preferred.
Waylynn would like to imagine this would be a sample of what she would look like if she managed to obtain spirit drive, but that was still far out of her reach for now. Still if it hadn't been her squad there would have been a time when Waylynn would have avoided something being organized by the green mantis capitan, though it seemed like a silly notion now that she thought about it. She wasn’t going to be caught out either, as a member of the green mantis she was trying to make sure that she was still diligent while she participated in the festivities.
Earlier in the day Mania walked all throughout the town of Hage. Not that there was much of anything to see. Well, there was one thing Mania had been sure to see and that was the giant skull of the demon. Mania had marveled at it for a long time when he first visited, curious as to what kind of demon it was when it lived. It was equal parts fascinating and terrifying. An odd, unusual mix that not many could understand the beauty of. No, many would fail to see it. Idle thoughts had carried Mania far and soon he found himself at a shop selling festive masks for the Spirits Festival tonight. In fact, this had been the whole reason he had been staying in Hage for the past three weeks. It was to attend this festival, there was sure to be lots of people who showed up. A man could meet just about anyone on a night like tonight. And if he didn't, then at least there would be some cheap fun, but if Mania guessed. He'd say there was definitely gonna be fun tonight.
Mania would nod to the clerk before casually browsing his wares. There were so many masks and costumes. Each is different in its own way, but equally well made. Occasionally Mania would stop and more closely inspect a few of the masks until he came across one in particular. This mask immediately caught the young rogue's eye. It was a traditional Kitsune mask that had long pointed ears and slanted eyes. The nose was pointed out, leaving the mouth area exposed. There was also a golden bell and red tassel on each side of the mask. The design was much to Mania's liking, so he would try it on before taking it to the shopkeep and purchasing it. With his costume for tonight decided Mania decided it was best to relax a bit so he would head to one of his favorite spots in town for a smoke and drink. So he would make his way to the local tavern and order a small meal.
Afterward, he would take a smoke before heading down to the festival. Donning the Kitsune mask, Mania would blend into the growing crowd as the Green Mantis Magic Knights captain himself made an appearance. It was Mania's first time seeing a Magic Knight Captain in person, so he especially paid attention to the man. Judging by the security detail and the fact Barron was here himself there wouldn't be any mischief at play tonight. Not unless someone was crazy Mania thought to himself as he played with the idea, but ultimately decided he would simply enjoy himself. After all, he didn't come here to make money, but to instead experience the culture, enjoy the sounds and sights offered. Maybe in this, he could find some type of normalcy within his chaotic life. After Barron's speech Mania would casually wander throughout the festival ground, sifting through the sea of festival-goers dressed in all types of costumes. Some were spooky, while others are detailed and decorative. There were even people dressed in beautiful, expensive clothing that easily caught the eye.
Mania's gaze wouldn't hover at a single point for too long, there were far too many stimuli. So much movement and noise that for a moment Mania felt overwhelmed or even sickened. He would go off to a more secluded area for a moment where the number of people was small. He would remove the mask and purchase a pumpkin spiced drink. Mania would spend a few moments sidelined as he tried to calm himself. "There's way too many people in one place. I feel so Closter-phobic... maybe I should just go home? " Mania pondered leaving momentarily as he took slow sips of his drink and decided to eat something light to calm his nerves. There was still plenty to do and the young rogue didn't want to cut the night short so early so he would finish his drink and desert he bought before going back to the main grounds.
Putting the Kitsune mask back on once more, Mania would meld with the large crowd. This time he felt much calmer and at ease as he remembered to slowly breathe and pay more attention to the attractions being held. There was so much to do that Mania couldn't decide on what to do first. In the end, he would play the various games offered, moving from one to the other. Sometimes winning or losing. Once Mania's mind had focused on the attractions he would become absorbed in what he was doing, but after a while, he would grow tired of the games and search out different to do. Mania would grab a flyer, inspecting it for the other activities being hosted tonight and to his delight, there was quite the selection. It was only a matter of what he wanted to do first. The young rogue smiled before becoming lost in the giant crowd.
