The early morning was always the best time to start anything. It was easy to get from the azure deer base to here, but the location of the base helped with that almost as much as the gate did. There were multiple large wagons full of boxes and furniture, all of them secured down with ropes. Only one of those wagons stopped at the house he had walked over to though, suggesting that this was far from the only family that would need help moving items. His hairs deep orange was hidden by the colors it gained from the light all around, the golden hue and gradients giving it a peachy look that blended well with the coloration of the dawn. His pale pink eyes were fully of energy and enthusiasm. It wasn't good that these civilians had been displaced, but it was nice that he could help made it a bit less work on the family. The familys daughter seemed to be sleeping in their mothers lap, the father hopping off the wagon. While there seemed to be a set of grandparents along as well, neither seemed to be moving quite so fast. “We haven't really seen inside ourselves, but all the boxes and things are marked. Thank you for the help.” The father spoke in a tired tone, his eyes barely giving any focus to the one person there so far. The grandmother of the family spoke up as she was still moving her tiny shriveled self off the wagon.
“Son, there are two others coming to help. Why don't you rest for awhile? Your father and I can figure out where to tell them to put things just fine.” The well aged woman may have looked weathered by time, but at the least it seemed her senses were as alert as ever. At the least, she was more awake than a man that looked like he hadn't had sleep in a long time. The father moved to help the old woman off the wagon, only for her to wave him off. She looked slightly bothered by the attempt as she finally managed to get off on her own. “Don't be impatient, go rest.” For Joseph, getting here first felt more than a little awkward. It was like listening to a small part of a little familys life and having no valid reason to leave. There just didn't feel like any way for this to be any less awkward, yet here they were. Hi own family issues probably didn't make listening to a happy little tired family any easier. His gloved hands moved a bit at his sides, their white dress up shirt being as tiny as always. The azure deer wanted to start, but it was pretty clear the old woman was the head of the family and would object to his impatience. ~Please let the other two get here soon so we can start this fast.~ the young man signed to himself before letting out a deathly silent sigh. This might be a long morning, or a short one.

The clouds were firm enough that Wanda seemed to be able to walk on them. The young witch didn't know exactly where she was but what she did know was that she was high in the air walking on clouds. The crisp blue air surrounded her as a gentle breeze wafted through the area. Rays of sunshine cascaded down below and made way for a beautiful day. The air smelt like the faint sense of pumpkin spice and morning dew. Birds flew down below and people looked like ants from this view. Wanda herself was busy bouncing from cloud to cloud having fun. Nothing seemed to be bothering her at the moment as a small laugh seemed to escape her person. Everything seemed perfect....too perfect. Wanda went to land on a cloud and fell straight through. At alarming speeds she seemed to be falling toward the ground, with no real way to stop herself it seemed. The air pressure against her face picked up more and more, the lower she went. "Ahhhhhh...someone help!!!!!!!" Wanda yells out trying to get someones attention. At the rate she was going, she was going to smack straight into a giant building down below. Trying to steer herself in another direction, Wanda begins to realize she was now going to land into a peddlers cabbage farm. This was far better than a building. The young witch braced herself as she collided with the cabbage farm. A big pile of debris erupts out of nowhere and the farmer is sent flying. "My Cabbages!!!" The farmer cries out as Wanda jolts awake from her dream.
"Ahhh-". Her scream is stopped by her grandmother holding a single finger to her lips. Wanda looks around frantically and slowly comes to realize that everything before was a dream and she was safe inside her bed the whole time. She wipes the crust out her eyes as she looks toward her grandmother and wonders what she was doing in her room. Agatha Blake stood over Wanda and shook her head slowly before throwing the sheets off of Wanda and smiling a big ol' smile. "Listen I signed you up for a mission Wan'. If you want to be a knight one day, you're going to have to start doing jobs and getting your name out there." Agatha says as she opens the window to the room. Wanda sighs a bit before speaking, "Grandma Aggy, I have no intentions on being a Magic Knight...Just because you were one...and Cousin Zaven is one doesn't mean that I have to be one as well." Wanda declares as she gets up and begins to dress. Pulling on her leather suit and her fingerless gloves. "Yes...but remember you made me a deal..and a deal is a deal. I allow you to venture off and you become a knight one day. Now you must hurry up, the mission is taking place all the way in Sosshi. Families have been displaced and you need to go down there to help out. Get them settled into their new houses."
Before Wanda could even object, she was being whisked away out the window by a Shadow eagle that was conjured by Grandma Agatha. Agatha was once a feared knight on the battlefield. She went down in history as one of Blue Roses's strongest members to date. Even men seem to respect her when she goes out. Wanda knew better than to get on her bad side after all she was the one currently training Wanda. The eagle soared at high speeds and brought Wanda to Sosshi in about half an hour. Those down below would see the girl riding on top of the eagle made of magic. She comes in for a landing a few meters away from Joseph and the family. With a swift dismount, she moves toward them and glances around at the work that needed to be done. Her eyes fall on the family as the girl gives them a wave. She doesn't look excited to be here but she was anyway. Finally turning to Joseph she speaks, "You must be the help?"
Alms for the in need, support in times of need; an endless list of things, for whoever it was, whenever it was. Sable was striding through Sosshi, having came by ways of Kikka. The church had led a sermon the following morning about those that were in need of assistance, a storm had beset them and done irreparable damage to their homes. This; being the reason for his departure, had been a tarrying journey so far. Having weathered through the storm himself, with bare little but few things to protect him from the rain and wind. There had been a critical sense of urgency, that he simply did not have for himself. A greater empathetic understanding was necessary for Sable to he himself be desiring to provide his services, he had deemed it necessary to provide the help they had asked for and arrived a while later. There were two other people volunteering to assist with the duties, he had not been introduced and was merely just another citizen willing to lend a hand. His perception was clear by the time he had arrived, Sable’s clothes now dry from being saturated by the night’s rain before. It was still too soon to assess the damages and whether rebuilding was an option, however the Lord of the land had provided substitutes for the dispossessed villagers and civilians to stay in times of turmoil. These housing developments where becoming far, few and in between for Sable’s liking. His palette was a little broader than unpainted walls, and the sombre shading was getting a little tedious. Being critical was not in his nature but the details of every house were dissimilar, what would give them a talking point for contrast? Sable thought about how talking about your problems all the time can be tiring, talking about beauty and art can be inspiring. Meeting new people could actually be a nice experience. While walking Sable had encountered two others talking to each other, they were so far disinterested with him, being that he was quite some way away from where they were. He paused for a moment as if to consider discovering if they were the people that required transportation, deliberated upon it further and then resigned to asking anyway.
Sable approached the two of them, not wanting to interrupt their conversation, and waited. To be acknowledged or to be spoken to as politely as he possibly could be. He wore a white cotton shirt and jeans, his hair an ashen white, his eyes red. He spoke with the calm ease that comes with being free of guilt, “Hey my name is Sable, is there something I can help with?” Waiting after having spoken for a response and to exercise his own diligence more than anything, so his looming would not seem creepy. It wasn’t the rudest thing to interject in ways of greetings, but while his patience was far from wearing thin, it was not infinite. Introductions and first impressions were in order, Sable did not judge them lest he be judged himself.

This was a mission, three people having been hired by the local lord to help with helping the family move their things into their new home. He had been hoping they would show up, but 'Wanda Blake' was a no show so far. Was it because this wasn't 'exciting' enough? Such a ridiculous thought, but he knew there were those who wanted 'action' in their jobs. ~I'll never find out the reason if she never arrives, so it doesn't matter.~ The young man signed these words out to himself before giving a bit of a shrug. What went wrong would go wrong, getting bothered by things wouldn't change what had happened already. The only way things get better is from accepting what's happened as fact, them figuring out what to do next. Always remain calm so you can think clearly, which was the best way to listen to and see the world. Many of the tunes within in the world were things easily drowned out by the sounds of thoughts and emotions. He watched the elder couple speak to each other with a bit of a frown. The elder woman seemed firm when she had an opinion, but not like a hard or bad person. This only added evidence to the thought that this was a warm little cozy family that just wanted to continue on with their life. It was the fact that it seemed so nice that gave Joseph a discomforted feeling in the pit of his stomach, feeling but a bit more impatient.
It was hard to wait when doing so involved being so near something you didn't no how to handle, nor be around for long as a whole. Seeing the stranger approach the elder couple as they chatted away made the young man hope that the stranger would interrupt them. Just make it end. No? The longer it drew on, the more apparent it was that this person had more patience than the red head did. Their talking didn't really end until the elder man finished getting off the cart, with help from his wife. I was only at the end of their discussion together about moving in, their family, and what to do next in life that the poor person finally spoke. Why did they wait so long to ask anything? Likely the same reason why Cobborn was standing around and feeling like a complete idiot. She spoke to the silver haired stranger about how the local lord was so nice and hired some people to help them move, they were just waiting for the rest to come. The old woman soon started shooing the pale haired boy away. Joseph was hoping for some alleviation from this predicament, but the grandmother of the family was as stubborn as a mule and patient. Maybe he could learn from such a person, but at the moment it wasn't something he was all that into as an idea. Pale pink eyes watched her talking with her husband.
Cobborn really was really stuck watching this happy family until everyone that was expected to show up did, wasn't he? The young adult wouldn't be able to get away with just getting things over with. Not while that families matriarch was still alive and kicking. ~Is this how she lived to such an old age? Can someone be stubborn enough to stave away death longer?~ If it was her, maybe it could be true. This limbo of watching tired family bond together as they waited peacefully would continue until the person he would be waiting for arrived. That person would be named Eliza Jaegar, someone from the Golden Dawn. This didn't really tell him anything, except that this person certainly hadn't arrived yet.

You ever been awoken late in the day to be told you were assigned to go do a mission with someone that no had told you about till the very last and quite honestly quite past the last moment to do so? Well that’s what Eliza woke up to with banging on her door from some other Golden Dawn Magic Knight informing her that she was quite late to meet up with another member named Joseph Cobborn. Eliza was still getting acquainted with those she had missed while out doing missions and requests that Zaven had put her on while he took care of his own basically kingdom.
“Yeah yeah I’ll get going, When I get back I’m having direct word with whoever is in charge of communication because this is horrid mismanagement.” Eliza threatened as she headed off to the village that they would be working in today. It seemed that the main point of this mission was to help relocate villagers that had lost their homes in the last large storm and it seemed the local lord was the one who was fronting the yul for all the new homes for them to move in. Though Eliza was skeptic of any noble’s generosity as she had seen many old noble homes either fall to disgrace or hide their corruption behind the mask of charity.
Regardless she was late and that irked her more then anything as she was very much someone who liked to be early and punctual when it came to meetings, gatherings, training and so much more. So by the time she arrived at the village she had enjoyed quite the enjoyable morning workout though beyond being slightly out of breath she seemed just fine. She scanned the area first overlooking the newly built homes and the assorted villagers that looked at her and her Golden Dawn mantle hanging around her shoulders. “Now to find this Joseph person.” Eliza thought to herself as she walked the village looking for another person who would be also be wearing the same mantle as her.
Finally finding a blonde haired man with matching mantle seeming to be interacting with a family already Eliza was relieved that she was able to find who she was looking for now they could get things going.
“Hello, Joseph I assume?” Eliza would start calling out loudly to the blonde haired man. As she grew closer she noticed that he just a few inches shorter then her though it was close enough that she was surprised she was so use to so many people being much shorter then her normally. “I am Eliza Jaegar, Senior ranked Magic Knight of the same squad as you.” She pointed out gesturing to the shared mantles. “It seems we haven’t been able to interact with one another since my return. I also apologize for the late arrival as I wasn’t told about this till basically moment ago.” She explained making sure to acknowledge that she was the one that was quite late regardless of why.
“I see you have begun getting everyone to move to their new homes.” Eliza said as she greeted the old woman of the family that Joseph had been interacting with. “There is a few more families to get moved, Do you need help with this family? If not I will take charge of getting the rest moved.” Eliza offered as she looked at the other families looking a bit lost on which houses they were suppose to be going to. Regardless if Joseph would need help with the old woman’s family or not Eliza would at least start having the other families line up and get sorted so that things would go smoothly once the two magic knights figured out how they wanted to get this taken care of.

Pale pink eyes looked over towards the tall dark haired woman. Why did Rank matter in such a small mission? Doesn't one typically sign themselves up for their own missions? Well, there was no reason to get fussy over details like that. Rank did matter, he was just upset having to wait so long there. His deep peachy hair still shimmered in the sunlight, most of it changing to a pale orange under the lights influence with pale yellow at any spot the light focused quite a bit on. This gave his hair a bit of a peachy appearance, the true color not bothered by the light being hinted at, but not really easy to view when it was tamed and braided. Now that this person was here, maybe he could get something done. “I am Joseph Cobborn. This woman was stalling me from getting anything done until everyone arrived. Since you're here, I assume she has no more complaints?” He looked over at the old woman who had been in his way of getting anything done this entire time. She muttered about how impatient he was and yes he could get started and something about young people these days. Still, she had relented to allow him to proceed with moving the families things in. For a brief moment he wondered the point of being on time or early, but mentally reminded himself that a musician was always early when they could be.
The red head was a magic knight, but the reasoning was still valid. It was easier to find out more and prepare properly when you get somewhere early. If it hadn't been for this old woman, he would have a lot more. Maybe he should have just been rude, but he really wasn't the type. It didn't matter that he was stronger, younger, or taller than the old woman to Cobborn. It wasn't polite to bully a refuge or an old woman, he certainly wasn't going to do any of that. “I'll move her family in and move to the next family that needs help after. Thank you, I think I can handle things at this home now. Please help another family find their designated home given to them and move into it.” He spoke with their own soft voice before quickly going towards the wagon. Despite his lithe build that seemed to lack the look of muscles, he was quite good with grabbing and lifting heavy items. Moving things like this was normal for a musician, as you had to get all things to the venue you played at. One had to be quick but careful, there was some heavy things relating to music but they all tended to be quite delicate items. This was why he had no issue in moving everything in. It was very simple to figure out what went where in the building. At least the younger individuals in that family seemed grateful to finally get moved in when he was finished.
Waiting to be able to start had been dreadful, but being able to leave that home to help the next family that he could was almost releasing. Maybe he was impatient, but that old woman hadn't made waiting easy either. Joseph didn't ever get lost, nor loose track of what was important. Even if that was true, not having to deal with that old woman again was what it felt like an added bonus. It didn't take long to find one of the other families that had been given a home. He introduced himself before asking for their names so he would know which house to lead them to. They gave the information without argument, allowing him to lead their little group towards the right building. After a little talking, they let him move their things inside. Just as with the previous house, it didn't take long to figure out where everything went, despite each house starting very basic and bare to allow the families to bring all their things. No matter the weight of the item, he didn't really mind moving it in. There was no longer any feelings of discomfort from him, as that had only been caused by being forced to wait. Watching families warmly together wasn't the best feeling when you missed that feeling yourself, or wondered if you really ever truly had that like you thought you did. All he had to focus on now was one thing at a time.
Right now he was moving every item to its proper room so the family could move in and carry on with their life. There was no need to focus on the items moved, outside of figuring out where it goes. Everything had its place in a home, which wasn't really a bad thing. It made unpacking easier. Items that belonged to a certain part of a home, or to a certain person tended to get packed together. This was also very helpful. Their mood had improved greatly by the time they were finished helping that family move into their new home. Things like this was why he became a magic knight, to help other people in the country. Nothing was too big, nor small. He wouldn't be satisfied with just doing a minimum amount of work, so of course went to help a family that hadn't been helped by Eliza yet. This time the family told them their names before he even got the chance to introduce himself. Was this the work of the other magic knights organization skills? Either way, it was nice to have that needed information offered up so easily. He quickly lead the family towards their new home. Once again, his thin frame had no issues moving any of the families heavy items. Knowing how to lift and carry such items made doing so easier and not require as much strength to preform the task, which made it easier to be able to lift and move things for a longer period of time.
No concert required moving this many items on your own. This was a first for him to do such on a large scale, but was still glad to do so. What would be the point in signing up for a mission if he wasn't willing to put in the work? Yes, he was starting to feel a little tired, but there was no point in slowing down. Every item moved in meant another family that much closer to being able to find their feeling of 'safe' and 'home' that much sooner again. As an added bonus, it might help those who might have lost some trust in the magic knights to realize that it was still a military force in the country that was meant to protect and help its people. It didn't take much thinking to find out where all the items went. All the newly built houses seemed to have a similar layout inside from what he could tell, though it wasn't a main focus. It still took some thought on each house, as the layout effected where every item went. This likely wasn't done to make it easier to move the families in though, but rather for speedier building of each house. It couldn't have been easy to have had so many new homes built in such a short amount of time. Well, in all due time he was sure each home would feel more and more unique for the occupants inside them. This wasn't something he would get to see of course, most people don't get to randomly peep into others homes.
This was still something nice to think about. In any case, he was finally finished with moving everything into the families home into the right spots. With this done he left that home and started to look if there were any families needing help still, or if Eliza was around still. If things still needed to be done he would get to work, but if not then it would be good to get in touch before leaving to write a mission report.

Eliza listened to the discussion between Joseph and the older lady of the family that seemed to have been giving the younger mage some grief or trouble by simply being a pain in the butt and stubborn. That was to be expected as they would be uprooting families to new places even if they would be in the same area for the most part, there were plenty of memories and legacies that tied them to the house and land they lived on for possibly generations. Coming from a noble house herself Eliza understood that sometimes all people had was the history that was built up by prior generations, the whole standing on the shoulder’s of giants saying came to mind to the disowned Jaegar. There had been quite a stir back when the Jaegar household had fallen from grace due to her father and brother’s actions. Eliza had been with the Golden dawn learning the ropes of the organization and making a name for herself during that time. So when the news came about her own disownment from the family and the fall of the family people were suspicious of her allegiance, though for the oldest of the family her interest in what the family did was minimal. If they failed to succeed in their endeavors it meant they were weak and deserved the consequences of their actions.
Even learning the more secret things of the going ons of her brother since his rise to head of the household didn’t phase the older Jaegar as it simply went back to how she had been raised to believe that Might is Right. Actions and not words made your will and intent known and real in this world and it was something that Eliza fully believed. These were all thoughts that the Jaegar had while she went about her work of helping family after family move from one home to the next most of the families were quite happy to be getting a brand new home compared to some of the ones that were still standing though there were of course the ones that were grumpy and tense being “forced” to move out of their damaged homes, spewing the words about legacy and history and traditions. “Listen you can move willingly or I can move you forcefully.” Eliza would issue the threat to those who complained, She didn’t know what would happen to the damaged homes if they would be destroyed to be later rebuilt or simply destroyed and turned back into usable land. Regardless of what the highers decided on what to do with the new land they had acquired these families could simply rebuild their history in their new home just down the road from where the originals once stood.
Most of the time while moving the families from one home to the other Eliza would be focused on her tasks in front of her and complete them easily, there wasn’t anything particularly difficult for her to move if she needed to do so and with her size and demeanor only the most stubborn spoke out. When things were going smoothly that’s when her thoughts would turn to other things, like what kind of training should she be doing going forward, what missions should she complete next, should she go look into the new dungeons that had spawned lately as it had been quite sometime since she had been in one. There were a slew of thoughts that trickled through her mind and it wasn’t long till she was just about done with moving everyone that needed to be moved. Eliza had been checking in on Joseph to just make sure that the other mage didn’t need any help with any other stubborn families or furniture but the other mage seemed to be well equipped to move things easily so for the most part it was just more an exchange of small words just to check on his physical well being and to offer small breaks or drink when needed. There wasn’t any reason for anyone to tire themselves to much for doing such a simple and easy task and it would look bad if either one of them were to pass out from heat stroke or exhaustion in front of all these villagers that saw them as the de facto protection and authority force of the kingdom.
The day crept on and the sun began to set by the time they were wrapping up the task and with the last of the homes completed and the families all put in their appropriate places, it was time to head home and report the success of their mission and collect whatever awards they were warranted. Eliza would find Joseph at the end of the task and after making sure he was fine and ready to head out she would give a parting farewell and begin to make her way back to the Golden Dawn base. It was time for her to have some words with her Captain and to progress her training and desire for more strength and power. She could no longer take the slower route of passively gaining strength and needed to take a much more active pursuit in her plans. After all she couldn’t become the Vice Captain or the Captain of the squad if she was still so weak in comparison to Cyrus and Zaven who stood at the summit of power at the moment in comparison to where Eliza stood at the moment.

Eliza didn't seem to be much for words. Pale pink eyes watched her leaving before starting to do the same. The young man was still pretty certain she was likely why he didn't run into anyone as fussy as that old woman again, but there was no point fussing or questioning. It seemed like all the work was done now, as there were no more family’s waiting to be placed into their new homes. The young man had originally came there early because he wasn't sure if he could finish within a day. Maybe that was just calculating himself alone? He couldn't exactly guess how much a stranger could do, right? Was she still a stranger after this mission? Honestly, yes. Joseph couldn’t really think of one thing the two talked about that wasn't connected to a task at hand. ~This was the first time I completed a mission with someone who was so focused. Focus on the task at hand is important, but I'm still unsure how to feel about it for some reason. It feels like the only thing I know about them is their name and they take work seriously.~ Signing that out felt a bit weird, but it was true. At the least, there was a lot of daylight hours left and everyone was helped. It was doubtful that all of them were happy about needing to move, but isn't the people you love more important than any item? That was how he felt about that. People can't be replaced.
Maybe that was one of the reasons waiting so long had felt so bad. Things have gotten better, but the family he had 'lost' was never coming back. They might not have been ever there like he had imagined. How many of those words and bits of help had been lies coated in their own self motivations? He didn't want to believe their ties had never been as honest as a normal family, outside the ones with his father. The very man who had been driven mad, who had tortured him for years while their mind was gone. Maybe that was why he had wished to start working as soon as possible earlier. There was no curing the madness, no getting that back. Even if it was cured somehow, it didn't undo what had happened. It was totally unreachable. Even figuring out who his mothers family had been did nothing to fill this. With each family it had hurt a bit with any moment he wasn't working on moving them in. Maybe that's why he hadn't taken any breaks while they had been moving everyone in. Those emotional scars could burn, or were they more like open wounds? It didn't matter now though, as the job was over. No more close knit families up and personal, at least not for now. Still, he would do almost anything to serve the kingdom. The Golden Dawn member knew that this meant it was a far cry from the last time he would be uncomfortable again. Cobborn started walking back. He would get back to the Golden Dawn headquarters in a speedy manner to write a report, but for now he just wanted to walk.
