[attr="class","ignistext"] Igins would let out a yawn as the light shinning into his room at the golden dawn base woke him up. The crimson haired mage had overslept which was very rare but it did happen. As Igins realized what he had done he would jump out of bed. After all he had a lot of stuff to do this morning and not a lot of time to do so as he was suppose to patrol the capital. Quickly getting dressed in his workout outfit he would rush outside to get his daily training done before rushing back inside to take a shower and change into his normal outfit. It seemed luck as on the explosion mages side today as he managed to get out of the base and make it to the part of the capital he was suppose to patrol. Of course he wasn't tasked with making rounds of the whole city himself as it was two big for that. His route was just the market place. It was a fairly easy route and growing up in the capital he knew all the short cut to make reaching the place faster. It was a fairly slow day after all thieves didn't tend to come here much as there was two magic knight squads in the capital which made it hard to get away with crime that being said it wasn't unheard of but it never happened when Ignis was on patrol. [break][break] As he was walking around a few of the citizen would wave and talk to him of course they didn't know who he was other than the fact he was a vermilion and a golden dawn mage. However he would talk with them either way as he was a people person. However it would be cut short as he noticed a group of thugs giving a fruit stand. "I'm going to have to ask you to leave the lady alone and leave the stand please." The biggest member of the group would turn and face Ignis taking a look at his mantle and then back at there numbers. "No I don't think we will and you can piss of now." "Look her price is set and she doesn't want to give you any free fruit or lower the price so if you don't like it why don't you just find a shop that will." "Well everyone knows this is the best fruit around and we want this one so I don't think we'll leave until we get what we want." [break][break] "Okay I'll ask you one more time to leave otherwise this will become a problem." You guys look pretty well of yourself so why don't you just pay the normal cost?" It seemed the leader of the group only listened to the first part and wasn't to happy about what Ignis said. "You hear that boys if we don't leave it will be a problem. It looks like the kid is getting full of himself all because he got into golden dawn let's teach him a lesson." At this point Ignis took his fighting stance so as the first thug went to attack him the vermillion would side step the punch before countering with a punch to his gut which hurt the man more than he thought it would. The man would take a step back however it still wasn't looking good for the golden dawn mage he was a skilled fighter however there was six of them and he wasn't able to use his magic safely without damaging the shop.

Ophelia Silva, daughter of the Silva family, and one of the youngest within family. That was what she was known as. All of her life, she had been Ophelia Silva. Ophelia the lavender-haired beauty. Ophelia, the maiden of Silva and Wilhelm. Ophelia, the Mercury Maiden. Ophelia, the noblewoman.[break][break]
She shook her head, regaining her composure as she made her way out of the library and into the bustling streets of the Royal Capital. Splendor was something that was not new to the young woman as she took in the rich and prosperous Royal Capital, the beacon of the Clover Kingdom, and the seat of Royalty. Of course, as a Silva, Ophelia herself had some ties to Royalty. Yet, for some reason, Ophelia felt no sort of ties. In fact, she had felt that she was the odd one out. Of course, it could have been her parentage. A Silva father and a Wilhelm mother, joined by a marriage contract, wed without love. Or maybe it was because she was one of the shortest Silva to have been birthed in centuries. At the height of five foot and a little bit, Ophelia found herself dwarfed by her siblings and cousins. She was the short one. Ophelia the short Silva. [break][break]
“Ah, what to do.” Ophelia sighed. These thoughts had been plaguing her in recent months. Of course, there were other things as well. Ophelia, the witch. She remembers it, yet knew it was not her. No, it must be something else. Someone else.[break][break]
“This event. Catastrophic. The Witches’ Forest.” Ophelia hummed to herself, weaving around the Royal Capital’s merchants and townspeople. “They must all be connected. And they must have something to do with…” It was a theory, nothing more. Ophelia was always the curious one, the odd one. “I suppose...maybe…” She let that thought linger.[break][break]
Ophelia supposed that this was a waste of time. Researching such anomalies, such catastrophes, was likely a waste of her precious time in the end. Of course, why would she do it anyway? She lost no relatives. At least, none that she knew of. The Vermillions had taken the largest blow, losing their pride and joy in Silas Vermillion. The Wilhelms had been quiet, the Kranes even more secretive, and finally the Vaude’s suspiciously mute. Ophelia, while not clever in the arena of politics, has at least heard some of the missives her family members had received recently.[break][break]
Something was afoot.[break][break]
She sighed once more. It was probably better for her not to think about such things. After all, she needed to prepare for the coming days. As expected of her by the family, she would be taking the Magic Knights Exam fairly soon, and she was very much expected to shine like a beacon. Of course, she would do her best as per usual, but she, in the end, was only doing it because it was the easier way out. Plus, being a Magic Knight might just give her the resources she needed to continue researching.[break][break]
It was then that she heard a commotion. The voice that she heard was familiar. She had almost turned around and looked for another way, but a second time, the familiar voice rang through. She knew who that belonged to, and was curious to see what the young man had gotten himself into.[break][break]
Thugs. [break][break]
“I see.” Ophelia would mutter to herself as she watched the young Vermillion take on a group of thugs. Truly, Ignis Vermillion had the drive of his relative, Silas, though the young man was still growing. She was sure that young Ignis had potential, though at this rate, he might just not be able to reach it. [break][break]
“I suppose I should help. It would not do well for one of us to be bullied, after all.” Ophelia resigned herself, before lunging forward behind Ignis.[break][break]
Nobody would think it, but Ophelia’s punches packed quite a bit of heat. Stronger than most people physically, Ophelia’s punches and kicks resoundly does the same damage as a junior tier spell, which was more than what most mages can say for themselves. And so, when the thug that was advancing towards Ignis was hit, the man flew back. The momentum of the punch took the man by surprise, which seemed to have been reflected by the crowd forming when she heard “aaahs” around her.[break][break]
Ophelia gave the thugs her “Nobility” stare, before speaking in a monotonous voice, “You are in the presence of both the Silva and the Vermillion families. You dare lift your fists against us? I suggest you leave, take your losses before the city guards arrive.” She challenge the men with a cold stare. By now, her grimoire was glowing, and a spell was ready to be used, if necessary. Though, she was sure that these thugs would leave. In the middle of the Royal Capital, nobody messes with the Silva and the Vermillion. Only death awaited those who do. [break][break]
[attr="class","ignistext"] While it was true that Ignis was going to need help taking down the six thugs the voice and person who came to help him wasn't exactly who he was hoping for. It was Ophelia Silva or as the vermilion liked to call her Ophy which he knew was something that annoyed her which was part of the reason he called her it. That being said he did like her normal name as well. As she punched the thug that went to run at the golden dawn mage it would knock the man back a bit. Then in classic Silva fashion she would start speaking about how they were nobles and they should count there lose before the guard showed up. However maybe the thugs were just dumbasses or they really just didn't care as they would speak again. "Oh what's this the golden boy needs his girlfriend to fight his battles for him?" Ignis would feel his face go red as his eye started to twitch. [break][break] While she wasn't really his girlfriend he did actually have a small crush on her not that is rivalry with the Silva's would ever let him say that. No I don't need Ophy's help to kick your asses." "Oh is that true let's test that why don't we." The thug who was speaking would try and catch Ignis off guard by trying to throw out a punch as he was speaking. It was a nice trick but Silas had taught him about so the young vermilion would duck under the punch before bring his head back up striking the thug is the face making him stumble back. Ignis would then kick the mans legs out from under him and as the man was falling to the ground the red haired mage would throw a elbow hitting the man in the face hearing a crack as the thugs noise broken taking him out of the fight. Another two of the thugs would rush the vermilion Ignis would block the first punch with his arms however the second struck him in the noise causing it to start bleed. However he would side step the second punch throwing out two punches of his own at the mans side. [break][break] However before the fight could keep going the guards would show up. "Okay that's enough out of all of you!" Ignis would lower his fist at this. The city guard would quick arrest and take the thugs away. Seeing as the fight was over Iginis would turn to Ophelia. "I didn't think I'd see you here Ophy shouldn't you be training for the magic knight exams?" Once she answered the he would speak again. "It's been awhile since we last talked how have you been?"

Ophelia watched the man babble on. Something about Ignis needing his so-called girlfriend to save him, or another of the sort. The young Silva woman just looked ahead, straight into the eyes of those who would disrespect the nobility, paying no mind to their comments. While Ophelia was not one to be the spoiled noblewoman who thought that the world revolved around her, she still maintained the belief that respect should be given where respect was due. And truly, this uncouth group of men were definitely underestimating them. Either that, or they just did not have the proper faculties to realize that at the end of the day, they were all likely outmatched by just Ophelia Silva and Ignis Vermillion working together. They were, after all, looking at them as though they were children, young though they might, however, Ophelia was no mage to mess with.[break][break]
While Ophelia Silva was not a Magic Knight just yet, she was certainly trained in the art of combat. The Silva noblewoman had been trained to fight ever since she had unlocked her magical use without the need of any assistance, which was very early in her childhood. As a part of the noble families, she had to prepped for any type of combat, especially those who might be looking to harm her and her family. Self-defense is what they would call it, though Ophelia would say that it was just plain old combat. Of course, it did not help that the Silva family were all looked towards when it came to serving under the Magic Knights. This was especially so when it came to the Silver Eagles, the Silva family’s pride and joy, and something that they were known to have been a part of every generation. However, as with every other nobility, the Silva were not just constrained to join the Silver Eagles. It was the reason why Ophelia decided to take the Magic Knights Exam this time around. She would rather not ride the coattails of her family. She would, at least, try to forge her own path.[break][break]
The men taunted, and barbed words were exchanged. Ophelia would neither pay them mind, nor would she respond. She was, instead, getting ready. She could already feel the clouds of discord brewing, and her grimoire was already itching to be used. However, judging from the strength of these thugs, Ophelia knew that she would not need to use her magic. Instead, she would teach these people manners through her fists. She was not one to be trifled with, after all.[break][break]
When they engaged Ignis, some of them came for Ophelia. Already on the ball of her feet, Ophelia flew forward, faster than the thugs. Her speed and strength were something she took pride in. She was faster than most mages her rank or tier, and most of the time they did not even think that her punch packed as much heat as it did. All of her training paid off, and while she may not be an offensive type mage, her fists did all of the hard work. Her magic supplemented her fighting style-instead. There was also Akka, her chakram that was currently strapped on her waist. However, she did not even draw the weapon. No, she would not need it in this case.[break][break]
With a punch, the first thugs who did not expect it was sent tumbling backwards because of the momentum behind the punch itself, as well as her sprinting speed. The second thug had tried to capitalize on Ophelia throwing the first punch, but instead, was surprised by the nimble figure of the young woman. A quick back flip, and a swift kick to the nutsack, the second thug fell down in a heap like a bag of potatoes. The fight was over for Ophelia before they even knew it, and glancing at Ignis, it seems that her fellow noble had also finished up his fight, while also having the city guards arresting the thugs.[break][break]
“I was going to continue with some spell practice, however, I stumbled on you and this rabble.” She gestured to the now arrested group of thugs. They seemed more pitiful than intimidating now, with the two that Ophelia had fought having the worst of it. One would probably not be able to procreate anytime soon, while the other was missing their front teeth from her punch. “Training is training, I suppose. Though from my heritage, and my magic, I think I know which squads will choose me for their roster.” She shrugged. The Silver Eagles might just want her because she was a Silva, and the Purple Orcas because of her defensive capabilities.[break][break]
She would pause, tilting her head to think of the last time they had seen each other. Most likely, it had been a recent family function of all things. “Yes, it has, hasn’t it? It seems like you’re doing well though.” She concluded, eyeing his Golden Dawn Magic Knight’s Mantle. “How has the Golden Dawn been treating you? Anything new lately on the Vermillion front of things?” Ophelia was never one to dabble into family matters, but it was always good to ask, especially since the Vermillion had lost someone very important in recent times. Etiquette, after all, was a part of her training as a noblewoman, and she was both a noblewoman and a mage, never one over the other.
[attr="class","ignistext"] As Igins started fighting the thugs trying to attack him out of the corner of his eye he would watch as someone of the others tried to attack Ophy. He of course wasn't worried as even thought she didn't look like it the Silva was just as strong physically as he was and when it came to magic she was even stronger. Which always made the vermilion wounder why she hadn't become a magic knight yet. With her skills she could easily get into a squad. The fight was over as soon as it started and just like that the two nobles were free to catch up with each other. It seemed like she was just in the right place at the right time to help him as she was studying before heading out to train with her magic knight mantle. The first part of Ophy's question was easy to answer how the second part not so much. "The golden dawn is treating me well it's mainly missions and patrolling the capital since I got back. They haven't sent me to explore any dungeons yet as all the ones that appeared were to dangerous for junior mages. [break][break] However I hear a new low rank one is in Hapshass so maybe I get to go into that one. The crimson haired mage would pause for a moment thinking about how to answer the second half. Well we are doing the best we can losing Silas really hurt the family but Emily has taken over the family and we are working on recovering from our loss. We are having a party to remember Silas and mother and father are expecting me to bring someone but I don't have anyone so I don't know what I'm going to do about that. How are things looking for the Silva's?" As the two mages were talking another golden dawn mage would show up and speak to explosion mage. "Ignis your patrol for the day is over the captain doesn't have anything else for you so your free for the rest of the day but try not to get into anymore trouble." [break][break] Ignis would nob before turning back to face the Mercury mage. "Well seeing I'm free for the rest of the we can hang out assuming you aren't busy? I know a place we can get something to eat or drink."Assuming Ophy was fine with that he would lead her to the place it wasn't anything new in fact she'd more than likely have been to the place herself.

“As long as they’re treating you well, I suppose.” Ophelia nodded, though she was sure that the journey of the young Vermillion was just starting. The life of a Magic Knight was something that one must take seriously. While a Magic Knight trained every day, honing their magic, and making sure that they are able to be at the peak of their performance level, the risks were still high. Magic Knights risked their lives every time they go out to do a mission. While civilians and commoners have their own job board, which is often times where the less deadly missions were posted, the Magic Knights had no such luck. The purpose of a Magic Knight, after all, is to protect the Clover Kingdom and its peace. This meant that it was at the cost of everything that a Magic Knight can give. And truly, Ophelia knew this more than anything. She had had family members not returning in the field of battle, especially during the Diamond Kingdom’s conquest against the Clover Kingdom. Life was something that meant nothing in the face of danger, and one must freely give it to the Clover Kingdom and its people. She supposed it was one of the reasons why she was still hesitating about becoming a Magic Knight. Ophelia freely loved her life, and her freedom. [break][break] Ophelia had heard of the dungeon Ignis mentioned previously, though she was never able to get the full details of it. It seems as though that the dungeon suddenly became a hotspot. A house of some sort or the other. Weird thing, really, though she was told the whole thing had something to do with the Coral Peacocks for some reason. Ophelia did not ask any more questions after that. It was strictly Magic Knight business, nothing more for her to do truly. [break][break]
“That dungeon.” She finally started after his spiel, “tell me all about it if and when you go. I’d like to know what happened in that so-called house.” Ophelia then turned around, and looked up into the sky. A beautiful sea of blue. “As long as you all are coping. Even the Silvas knew how much Silas meant to the Vermillions, so I’m sure the current Head of our House has sent their condolences. A hero. You should remember him at his best. Honour him through deeds, not words.” The loss of a family member was always hard. Ophelia knew the feeling, and she would never wish it on anyone. [break][break]
She had almost, however, declined on the invitation. However, she gave it another thought, “Sure, why not. Lead the way. I am a little thirsty after that short fight.” As Ignis led them to the place where they would sit for a drink, she continued, “The Silvas have been doing fine. We’ve been consolidating what we have, and making sure that we’re more vigilant than ever. The events recently has shaken up some of our members, and it’s causing more bad than good these days.”
[attr="class","ignistext"] Ignis was glad Ophelia agreed to go with him as he didn't want to drink alone not that he was going to be drinking alcohol in the first place as he didn't like the taste of it. As the two nobles were walking to the place the crimson haired mage would think about her comment about Silas. It was something he'd been thinking about for a while perhaps longer than he was willing to admit. As they reached the place Ignis would lead them inside it was a basic tavern well it was still fancy but as basic as they got for the noble region. As they entered they would get a few looks from the other people inside the place as it was clear they were both part of two rival noble families. Of course no one would actually say anything as while it was uncommon to see it wasn't like there was a rule that Silva's and Vermilion's couldn't be friends. As they sat down Ignis would order a glass of water it didn't take long for the two mages drinks to arrive. "I guess I could tell you about it if I get to go so long as you don't go talking about it to everyone. [break][break] After all it's suppose to be a magic knight only thing and I don't want to get into two much trouble."Ignis would go quite for a few moments before taking a long drink. "I'm trying I don't know if you knew this or not after all it's not something I go around telling everyone but Silas is the reason I joined golden dawn. After all I didn't want all the training he taught me to go to waste and I wanted to make him proud by getting into the best squad. Don't get me wrong every squad is great but we are suppose to be the best of the best and so when I actually managed to get into them Silas was proud of me and gave me the cloak I wear now."The explosion mage would take a deep breath letting out a sigh and taking another drink before he kept speaking. His grip on the glass was tightening and even starting to crack the glass but Ignis was to lost in the moment to notice it. [break][break] However now that I'm in the golden dawn and Silas isn't here anymore everything just feels so empty. I know it's selfish of me but I wish Silas didn't die and I can't help but get mad at whoever sent him on that mission. There was still so much left I wanted him to teach. So much more I wanted him to see me achieve and make him proud of but now it all feels meaningless. I wanted him to be right there with me when I became a strong magic knight no not even magic knight a strong person but now that will never happen because of those damn deamons and it's not fair. Why did he have to the one to die why couldn't it be someone else he still had so much to live for. However that's not even the worst part what makes it worse is when I see my captain. He was close with Silas and see a lot of him and me so he doesn't want me to get hurt or die like Silas did so he doesn't send me out on dangerous missions for my rank. [break][break] I'm tired of people thinking I'm Silas because I'm not. I looked but to him that is fact but I never wanted to be him. I just want to be a hero like Silas... No I will be a hero just like he was this much I swear on my name."At this point his grip on the glass was strong enough the it actually broke the glass and cut his hands however he wouldn't yell out in pain instead he would just look down at the glass and his bleeding hands saying nothing at all. Tears were running down his face by now but he didn't say anything for a few seconds and when he did he wouldn't even look up at Ophy. "I'm sorry I didn't ask you to join me so you could hear me complain and I'd rather change the subject. Do you know what squad you plan on aiming for in the exams? I assume you don't plan on join the Silver Eagles as your family has strong ties with them and could have got you in without taking the exams."

“I suppose you shouldn’t tell me then.” Ophelia nodded, having been led to the place where Ignis deigned for them to share a drink. “I do not want any trouble on you, after all. But I will definitely take whatever information you can share. Maybe one day I will make my way there as well and see for myself. As a Magic Knight, of course.” Information like the dungeons were not dime a dozen for civilians like Ophelia Silva, even though she carried the Silva name. They were, after all, a dangerous place. If word got out of what is found inside, then curious adventurers and unsanctioned teams might just try their luck in the hopes of procuring themselves treasures unknown. This most likely would lead to unnecessary deaths that is one hundred percent preventable. It was something that had happened in the past already, and Ophelia knew that the Magic Knights now have the rule of keeping dungeons obscure from the public. In the end, it was just better that way. Though, if Ophelia was to be asked, then she would say that her curiosity would never be sated until she is able to step foot into that dungeon. Maybe one day. Maybe when she became a Magic Knight herself. [break][break]
And then the young man gave his spiel about his woes, Ophelia listened. She was a great listener, as most people will attest. More so because Ophelia herself was never a chatterbox. She liked to listen to people talk, it was more interesting for her to say the least. What other people might be thinking, feeling, and planning all intrigued Ophelia, and it was part of the reason why she never really took control of conversations. She would rather just listen. Plus, Ophelia herself never really felt comfortable about sharing her own thoughts. In fact, she would rather keep them to herself. She supposed it was because she was a private person at the very core of it all. While most of her siblings, and family in general were savvy with their words, it had always been the opposite for her. Though, in the end, she did not really care. Her listening skills worked well for her, and it will work well at this point with Ignis. The young man seemed to need a place to vent, a person to vent to. Ophelia would oblige him of that.[break][break]
“You are Ignis Vermillion.” She would start, taking a sip of her water as she looked to the side, her eyes far away as she continued. “You are Ignis Vermillion.” She turned her eyes towards the young man, her voice now more hardened. Conviction laced within her every syllable. “You are Ignis Vermillion, and nobody else will ever take that away from you. You are your own person.” She glanced sideways, her tone less hard, “Do not let your thoughts and actions be dictated by someone else. By a shadow of a person who is now in a better place.” Ophelia supposed it was easier to say it than to do it, but Ignis needed to hear it from someone, so she guessed it best came from her. “Silas was a mage of great caliber, but he did not get there by comparing himself constantly to others around him. Nor did he stop and think about what others thought of him. Nor did he place himself in a position where he relied on another to gain his strength.” Ophelia had known of Silas, and like all great Magic Knights, one never relied on somebody else for greatness. “No matter what others expect of you. No matter what others see in you. You must always break from it. Forge ahead. Do not let these barriers get in your way. You have the power to breakthrough whatever is stopping you, because you are your own person.” [break][break]
Ophelia paused now. She would give the young man one last advice. “Walk in the path of the great men and women before you, but never seek shade in their shadow.” [break][break]
She did not know she had the capacity to give that much advice, though Ophelia hoped it helped the young man. However, the conversation turned towards the Magic Knights Exam, and Ophelia could only sigh. “The Silver Eagles would have been easier to get into, as you point out.” She shrugged, “but as I’ve told you, I don’t plan on seeking shade under the shadow of the Silva family.” Ophelia wanted to be free, to be her own, and not tied to something, a chained doll. “This is my way of saying: enough. Ophelia Silva will find her own destiny.” That definitely went well the last time she had been at home. “But truly, with my magic, I am sure I will land somewhere with the Purple Orcas. I hear they have great defensive type mages, which my magic is really geared towards.” [break][break]
Ophelia took another sip of her water. “What do you think? Is my assumption correct about the Purple Orcas? You would know better which squads might be looking to recruit me, since you’re in one. I’m not privy to details about Magic Knight squads save those of public knowledge.” It was true, the squads have become more secretive now, though most likely because of recent events, and Ophelia could not blame them.
[attr="class","ignistext"] The red haired mage would listen as Ophy said his name a new times. Perhaps it was to get him to foucs or maybe it was to stress who he actually was or maybe even both. Either way it worked and Ignis would look up from the table listening to the words she was telling him. He understood what the Silva was saying however understanding them wasn't as easy as accepting them. He was actually a little surprised at what she said. He knew she was smart but he didn't realize that she would be able to give this kind of advice. While it wasn't going to make all the problems and gain go away it did help the vermilion. He would smile at her and nod. "I know I'm still trying and I don't plan on giving up that easily"By now the waitress would walk over to the two nobles taking the broken cup while handing Ingins some bandages for his hand so he could actually stop the bleeding. [break][break] After all he didn't have any healing spells just yet. Luckily the mage knights made everyone go through basic first aid as not everyone was blessed with healing magic and there wasn't always a mage on a mission that could heal someone that got hurt. As the crimson haired mage was wrapping his hand he would think about her question on what squad he thought would take her. "Well purple orca sounds like they would take you after all you have a strong talent for defense based magic so I don't see why they wouldn't. Blue rose is another option seeing as they take by far the most female mages during the exams that's not to say being female is the only reason one get's into the squad because they still have to be skilled mages. I don't think the crimson Lions will take you after all offensive magic really isn't your thing like it is for me. You can most likely get into golden dawn as well after all you're just as skilled a mage as I am. As for the rest of the squads I'm not sure other than green mantis which I can't see someone like you joining. [break][break] However the best advice I can give when it comes to the magic knight exams is don't worry to much about who will take you and just focus on showing what your great at that's what they want to see."By this point Ingins had finished wrapping his hand and would bend it a few times luckily the cut wasn't deep so it wouldn't take that long to heal. "So is there anything else you'd like to talk about Ophy?"

Ophelia had not even noticed that the young Vermillion in front of her had injured himself. She had been so caught up in everything that the young man had told her, and her response to it that it did not even register. Blood, however, was not something she was foreign to. Some Silva family members, at one point, had blood based magics as well. There was one particular one that came to mind, though Ophelia could not remember properly what had happened to her. All of this happened, however, and the staff of the restaurant were kindly enough to clean the mess, while Ignis bandaged himself up. Ophelia only watched, her face now more or less devoid of emotion as she tried to wrestle the fact that the young man in front of her harboured feelings that were very intense. Ophelia was not sure whether Ignis Vermillion had truly laid out everything in his monologue, and truly, Ophelia was sure there was more. Yet, she would not pry. She knew how some things were meant to be kept private. Maybe the young man just needed more time to mull things over. Maybe he needed more time to think things through. Maybe it was grief talking. Or even worse, maybe it was guilt. Ophelia, however, stayed back from that hot zone. It was his problem, and when he was ready, his friends would be there to help him, and his family would be by his side. Ophelia will listen and provide advice, but this definitely was not the time. “Giving up at this point would be useless wouldn’t it?” Ophelia shrugged, “especially since you hurt your hand for that.” She cracked a smile, a small one. The Golden Dawn mage was already applying first aid, and she was at least glad that he knew how to take care of himself. Many of the noble children were looked after from head to toe every single day, and forgot how to do things themselves. “You’ll manage though, I’m very sure of it.” He would have to, after all, he was a Vermillion. Ignis was not meant to fail, and to be born of the Upper Nobility meant that you were born to succeed, though you might not know it yet. Sure, one might need a bit of help, but the Upper Nobility were never expected less from. Only the best from them, after all. [break][break]
“The Blue Roses never appealed to me, though it seems that they have recently recruited quite a few interesting mages.” Ophelia shrugged, having heard of what happened during the last Magic Knights Exam. “Witches, were they not? Or at least, akin to witches from what I heard. How interesting indeed!” Ophelia herself had never met any witches in her lifetime. Of course, her lifetime had been short, and more still, she had mostly been inside the Silva familial household. However, the little that she knew were from the tomes within the Silva Family Library. Witches were fearsome, and historically were quite a danger when angered. Ophelia supposed it was the reason the Clover Kingdom kept up their tenuous relationship. [break][break]
“The Lions would never dare, though from what I have heard, the Captain did not uphold the Silva and Vermillion rivalry.” Ophelia would glance sideways, out into the street, “In fact, it has been a long time since the Vermillions controlled the Lions, and the Silvas controlled the Eagles.” Historically, those had been where the families consolidated their power. Though, in recent times, more talent from the outside propped up. That did not mean to say that the families lost their influence. No, far from it. However, times have definitely changed. “Purple Orca would most likely be the top choice then, hey?” She did not mind that. The Purple Orcas were known to be the shield to the Clover Kingdom’s sword. “Other things…” Ophelia trailed off. She could not think of anything at the moment, though her mind wandered, “I really don’t know if there’s anything else. I know I’ve got my studies to attend to. Maybe I’ll take on some civilian missions later on. Though really, I should be preparing for the Magic Knights Exam. So much to do indeed, hey?” Ophelia sighed. She supposed it would be better to just get it over with. Take the exam and move on. She’d rather just find a squad and start building on her future. “What about you? Anything on your mind still? Your party is soon right, you’ll definitely have to find a partner soon!” Ophelia finished the last of her drink, waving the staff to take away her glass.
[attr="class","ignistext"] As Ignis was bandaging his hand he would as Ophy would talk about how giving up would be pointless seeing as he even hurt his hand over it."Yeah I don't plan on giving up anytime soon and besides it's not like people like us can give up. Our families don't raise us to give up they want us to be the best."He would then listen as she was talking about squads that interested her and those that didn't. She even made an interesting point about there two noble families who were know to be high ranking magic knights in the crimson lions and silver hadn't held captain in a while. "That's true in fact the vermilion's haven't had one of our own hold the captain spot since longer than I can remember. It makes me wonder if our families are getting weaker or if the other are just catching up to us. [break] As for the blue rose it's true they have a few witches in the squad. I haven't met the myself but I also heard one of them became the vice captain."The vermilion would pause for a moment it seemed it was getting later than he realized and the captain was more than likely wondering where he was. "Yeah I'd say the purple orca seem like your top choice but who knows maybe you'll surprise everyone as for focusing for the exams doing some of the citizen mission wouldn't be a bad idea it can help you with combat in such of course it won't be as dangerous as a mission a magic knight would go on." Somehow the topic would get switched to the dance Ignis had to go to it felt like the crimson haired mage was getting reminded about it every day by someone mainly his mother. There wasn't really anything else he had to say about the topic at least not that he wanted to share about the topic with Silas. "Yeah that dance well you see I was thinking... [break] He would pause for a moment as he was nervous about what he was going to ask. "Well I was wondering if you'd go to the dance with me?" Assuming Ophy actually said yes he would speak again. "I'm not really good at these types of things so did you want me to come get you or were you just planning on showing up to the estate?"

Ophelia nodded at the young Vermillion’s thoughts. Of course, the families always expected the best of their children, even more so for the few Upper Nobility that still exists. However, what Ophelia did not aspire to is the high and mighty view of some of her family members. She does not hate them. No, definitely far from it, Ophelia loves her family. However, she means to charge forward at her own pace, and at her own terms. “We all just have to do our best, Ignis. Even the Silva family wrestles with their children’s aspirations. We might be nobility, but we cannot forget that we are human as well. Forge your own destiny, because sooner or later, you might realize you only have one chance.” That was all Ophelia would have to say on that end. At least, for herself, she was following a dream. Her dream of becoming free from the grasp of the Silva family, to become herself, no more and no less. Ophelia supposed that was not too much, though from what she had heard from some family members, it was. She really did not care. No one can stop her anyway.[break][break]
And then the young man started to mention how the Vermillions had not had their own Crimson Lion Captain in a very long time. She supposed that it was the same for the Silvas, though she was sure that the current Captain was an Upper Nobility. A Krane, from what she had heard. But the talk of the Upper Nobility getting weaker struck a chord with Ophelia. That cannot be true, especially since the number of higher tiered of Silvas had not dwindled throughout the years, though it seems that all of the Upper Nobility have actually had a lull in their new generation of mages. Most of the younger members have just begun to make a name for themselves, and it will take a few years for them to be actually notable. “The nobility has just reach a lull at the moment.” Ophelia shrugged, “The mages we have produced, the legends, have moved on. The new generation is young. We still have time to make a name for ourselves. Time to grow strong.” Ophelia smiled a small smile, “I’m also very intrigued with this Blue Rose Witch who became a Vice Captain. How interesting! And there are more than a few of them! I might just have to join them to see what they are all about. Though you are definitely on the ball there for Purple Orca. At the end of it, we will just have to see! I’ll definitely be ready for the exam, no matter what.”[break][break]
Ignis then mentioned the dance, and wanting her to go with him. Ophelia was a bit taken a back at that. She supposed they knew each other, and she was most likely the best choice to take. The Silva’s relationship with the Vermillions have not been too bad, and she’d definitely like to go to a party and unwind just a little bit. It would not be too bad. A social gathering was definitely something she would have time for. And she was sure that Ignis would not be too bad of an escort. Ophelia nodded, “Of course, you can count on me.” She gave him a thumbs up, “And you don’t have to pick me up. I’m sure I can just meet you there. There’s still so much for me to do, so I will have to be in a hurry anyway.” Ophelia shrugged, trying to remember if she even had a dress. “I think I will need to get going then.”[break][break]
Ophelia stood up, and quickly grabbed her books. She still needed to pour through them, and maybe find a clue to some of the mysteries that have happened recently. [break][break]

With that, the young Silva turned around and went to find her way back to her home.

He really couldn't disagree after all he was prime example as he was just starting his path as a magic knight. "Yeah I suppose your right I'm more than likely over thinking things. We still have a lot of time left to make a name for ourselves after all clover wasn't built in a day." He was a more than a little confused on why after learning the blue rose vice captain was a witch her choice on joining blue rose changed but he wasn't going to try and think on it to much after all it seemed like she was set on the purple orca's asking her to join and based on the way she spoke about. If the vermilion had to guess that would be the squad she most likely would end up picking. It seemed Ingins was in luck as she did in fact agree to go to the dance with him stating that she would meet him there instead of him going to pick her up which was fine by him. At last it was getting late so there meeting would come to an end not that he could blame her she had a lot of work ahead of her. "Yeah it is getting late and I should be getting back to the base myself. The captain is probably pissed at me. Anyway in case I don't see you before hand good luck on the magic Knight Exams." With that Ingins would also get up from the table making his way back to the golden dawn base. [break] [exit]
