Dressed in your Magic Knights uniform, it is not uncommon for a young Magic Knight to be sent to patrol the large markets in Kikka for bandits.

It was a beautiful day. A beautiful day for patrolling that is. Chishio found herself traveling from the noble region to the common region via a wagon for several miles. As she laid in the back past the driver with a bunch of other Magic Knights heading the same direction and being dropped off for the day she felt calm in her thoughts. She quite liked moving and rides. Despite her lean figure, she did enjoy any sort of swaying whether via foot or resting on a vehicle.
[break] [break]
Chishio even caught herself from going to sleep. While one might think she was lazy, they'd be very wrong. The woman was just exhausted. She had been working off nonstop. She was trying to catch up to the other Golden Dawn Knights. It'd seem impossible but it could be possible. Never stop believing. But even so, Chishio didn't think this way but in this direction. She wanted to be worthy yet, didn't want to do it out of faith but out of insecurity instead.
[break] [break]
As the wagon would occasionally stop at destinations and let them hop off before picking up more she'd hear chattering in the background, but didn't really care. Today, she was introverted and wanted to be to herself. Unfortunately for her, she'd have two minions- each from a different faction of the Magic Knights. She was the only Golden Dawn- a Black Bull and Green Mantis. What a vastly different bunch of people!
[break] [break]
Chishio wasn't too sure if the Black Bull member would get off-topic or be weird. She was worried that the Green Mantis member could possibly fuck it up by doing something overly malicious and rash. So, as she knew she got closer, that's what worried her. Despite stereotyping to an extreme amount, Chishio's consistent thoughts and contemplation would come to an abrupt end. She'd soon have to converse with her allies of the day.
[break] [break]
She'd be visiting the other two Magic Knights at the patrol base. Apparently, crime had picked up abnormally in this region of Kikka and therefore needed to locate the cause of such turmoil. Chishio was conveniently stopped right in front of the base and she hopped off. She'd give a nod and clasps her hands to the driver and horses, that'd be her token of thanks and gratitude. She really didn't want to be bothered, but she still had to have manners. Besides, it was a smooth and peaceful drive.
[break] [break]
Chishio walked inside and would greet her mission giver or chief or whoever you wished to call the man over the patrol station. They had a quick conversation, she was early to the time. After saying her goodbyes, she was told to wait outside and then leave once the other two came.
[break] [break]
There was a bench behind her, but she opted not to rest there and instead stood and paced the ground waiting for any sort of mana signatures other than the ones in the building behind her to approach.
[break] [break]
It only took a minute, but she soon would lift her head from the ground and see two men walking towards the Knight/patrol station. She'd wait curiously, letting them speak before her.
[break] [break]
If they were to acknowledge her and confirm they were her comrades she'd say, "I have already told the patrollers that I am here. He said if he doesn't see me outside the building we've left to do our job. So let's get to it I guess...."
[break] [break]
She'd let them ask her name if they wanted to. She really didn't feel sharing surnames if they knew of her noble family's name though.
Roc Lily hated doing these rote patrols. He'd somewhat come around to having to actually do missions as a magic knight, but spotting thieves reminded him too much of his adolescent days as a criminal. The petty thieves he'd catch reminded Roc far too much of himself before becoming a Green Mantis. It was unnerving to do. Doing jobs that required less policing was much more satisfying. Criminals looking for their next meal didn't inspire a sense of justice in Roc. It just made him sad. Most thieves weren't lifetime criminals, they were just down on their luck. This kind of punishing had opened the door to some thoughts of a different justice, or a reworking of the magic knight position. He just wasn't sure what it looked like.
Roc pondered these thoughts on communal coach ride towards Kikka for his patrol duty. He went back on forth on his reflections while he absently watched the people headed to Kikka. Most of the passengers were there for the same reason as Roc, all visiting the Kikka markets on their days off. Well dressed families or gaggles of young shoppers gossiped and talked excitedly, mostly broaching the idea of what they'd spend their money on that day. Fancy jewelry, new formal wear, those pleasant little cakes with the flowers decorating them and other such frivolities were common ideas. Roc was helpless to wonder how many such people he'd deprived of their little treats in his younger days. He was helpless to wonder if it was a really a big deal.
No concrete conclusion was really reached before the coach found its own end. A block away from the stopped coach were the first few tents of the Kikka market. Mothers wrangled their kids to stay close and wealthy adolescents fled towards the color and noise. The markets were reminiscient of a long, winding circus making its way through the city streets. The wide space between the buildings of Kikka made it optimal for the frequent markets that popped up in the city. Tents of every color and size dotted the space along the streets. Under the shade of each were vendors and businesspeople competing to be the loudest and the most attractive. Everybody had the best deal in town and they wanted to make sure everybody in town knew about it.
Between the bustle of the shoppers and the clamor of the vendors, it was a simple matter for crooks and thieves to find their own profit. Every thief needs a misdirection and the Kikka markets were the greatest distraction for which a cutpurse could pray. Roc broached the market to make his way to the patrol station deeper into the city. He took his time strolling from the outskirts of the city, taking in the product and the consumption. He noted a cobbler peddling some boots he'd have to examine. On the corner of a particularly busy section were the sweet-smelling flowery cakes discussed on the coach. A shady grifter lured some susceptible tourists into a more illicit shop in the alley between a diner and a bank of sorts.
It was easy for anybody to get distracted. Roc only knew to look for these distractions because of his history. Failure to spot opportunity meant missing meals in his past. Now he was on the other side of the law, and it was up to him to deprive those desperate thieves of their bounties.
Soon enough, he spotted a golden cloak idling about in front of the patrol station. All that was missing from the assigned trio was a cloak of black. Assuming they all convened on the same spot, he'd introduce himself with little ceremony. "The name's Roc Lily, let's really give it our all today, chums," he mustered with a smirk.

Charles was called to the town of Kikka located at the Common Region to assist help patrolling the area. Apparently they needed more Magic Knights to help around since crime has increased in that area of Kikka, the first thing that crossed his mind as he arrived at the town was, why him? Why couldn't they pick someone else? Was there even a need for someone like him to come all the way here? He didn't even want to do it, but his Captain will probably get mad at him if he turned it down for whatever reason. He knew he was a lazy bastard and that he will find any excuse to slack off, which he wasn't going to believe at all.
The day was alright for him to patrol, apparently, he wouldn't be doing it alone as a member of the Golden Dawn and the Green Mantis will also be assisting in the patrol, it seems like he will have to work with other people. He often didn't like going with other people on missions unless they were more powerful like him or something. A member of the Golden Dawn, the chances of that person being a noble with the size of an ego compared to the power of the Wizard King was likely, he has interacted with nobles before, it wasn't pleasant. He just hoped that person was like the rest. After that a member of the Green Mantis, bloody hell. He's heard of the reputation the Green Mantis has, but the chances of the Green Mantis member to be more tolerable the Golden Dawn one was more likely, or at least that's what he thought. He didn't have much of a good past with nobles of the kingdom nor did he liked them. Of course, he couldn't generalize them, they were some good nobles out there that were worth having as friends and comrades.
He eventually arrived at the station, noticing the two Magic Knights standing there, it seemed like they were waiting for him as he was the only one remaining. He just hoped that neither of them got mad at him for being late, but it was more likely for the Golden Dawn member to get mad at him for being a little late than the Green Mantis one after all the Golden Dawn were all about doing things perfectly, that implied arriving on time. The young magic knight was wearing his usual outfit, a half-sleeved white shirt, black pants, his hair was tied to a low ponytail, and the Magic Knights mantle. He walked up to the two of them. "Hello, I assume I'm going to be working with you two? Well, my name is Charles." The member of the Black Bulls spoke, his face showed no emotion at all and his voice was monotonous, it seemed like he didn't have a lot of interest in doing this, but he did anyway. He just wanted to get done with the mission as soon as possible and head back, the only good thing he believes he will get from this mission was getting paid yuul for completing it getting extra money was something nice, but it's not like he really needed it the amount of payment he received as a Magic Knight was good for a commoner like him, he also made sure send some money to his family every time he got paid.
"Hi there. I am-" Chishio would begin to state her name to 'Roc Lily'. An interesting name there. She didn't like the name 'chum' it sounded a lot like 'chump'. Regardless, it was a positive label given. He seemed ok for the most part, "ready to begin our long and moving day~" she'd say with a small smile. Then she felt the presence of another person, someone with a black cloak. How did she know he was going to be the one being the primary issue?
"Hello,"Chishio would start off to this man named 'Charles' and then sigh. Her eyes became closed and she was already growing agitated, "You are late and were holding us up!" Chishio would exclaim to the Black Bull member as her choice in greeting to him. If he said anything tart or sarcastic in response she'd give a simple roll of the eyes and
"Well, as said before. Let's get to it, "and with that Chishio would make her way from the view of the window in the patrol station and move forward. As they walked she declared, "Do you all want to first search the perimeters as a group? I think that would be best."
This was a team effort. Someone had to be proactive and be the one to get the ball rolling.
Chishio would begin to walk in whichever direction would be suggested by her two 'chums' and would then make small conversation. She found it would be strange to be out here for a couple of hours and no one said anything. Her introversion turning into ambiversion she'd state, "It's a nice day outside today isn't it? I heard there COULD be a chance of rain in the paper but it could be false after all. It's so hard to figure out what goes on from time to time with this technology. Magic can only take us so far still," Chishio would comment as rambled openly to herself, "I hope it doesn't rain on us like yesterday. I'd hate to be icky and possibly get sickly from fighting thieves in such horrible allergy weather." she concluded. As they walked there was nothing to see other than various homes that lied out the city. Chishio decided they need to walk ever further away to locate a hideout.
Then she would find a trail of footprints. But there were various ones, like a group, and some yul on the ground nearby. It could be a coincidence. A group of family or friends had some cash fall out of their pockets and never noticed it. She'd pick up a few of the coins and hold it up to thte sky. It looked- unwhole. Like damaged or perhaps- counterfeit.
And just like that paint flakes fell onto her fingertips.
"Well now, I think we just found something suspicious. I'll hold onto the fake yul for evidence and make note of the coordinates on a piece of paper as well as where we found these tracks in the case we find thieves who act like they are innocent," and with that for a good moment Chishio got out her ugly leather bag- perfect for delivering newspaper boy. She took out the map and city coordinates and notate it on there after a good moment by looking at her surroundings. It may or may not have been needed but if the bandits weren't killed and then argued in court against such a thing she'd have some sort of evidence. The foot tracks would only last so long though. That's why they needed to hurry and find these criminals today.
Afterwards, Chishio put away her newly obtained things and would follow the footprints without stepping directly on them. She said nothing else allowing them to share their words and input on what had just occurred while still taking the lead.
From his reply, the Black Bull knight seemed like he wanted to be working the mission even less than Roc himself, which was impressive in and of itself. He'd reintroduce himself to the newcomer curtly in response them doing the same before being cut off by the Golden Dawn knight. These knights, Chishio and Charles seemed to get along like cats and dogs. Perhaps it was just the color of the robes that summoned the agitation between them. Roc didn't care much for the politics between squads or the bickering between their members. As Chishio scolded Charles, Roc pretended he heard nothing, side-eyeing a suspicious pack entering the market center. One of them kept looking back at the magic knights, careful to keep an eye on them, and he wasn't being sly about it.
Unsurprisingly, the Golden Dawn knight elected to take charge, leading the way towards the perimeter of the market. As they walked through Kikka, the trio of magic knights seemed to cause a breadth of space between them and the other members of the market. Out of respect or fear, people cleared the way. Their approach was obvious and telegraphed by the clearing they continuously made in the crowd. More than once did Roc spot some unscrupulous characters halt whatever it was they were doing before the magic knights got close. The trio of knights were like a signal fire to the underworld elements in the crowd, warning every criminal to wait until they'd passed before continuing their business.
This suited Roc just fine. The criminals they passed seemed mostly harmless from his cursory examinations. They were swiping and skimming, just a little here and there. For the prosperous vendors and the money-stuffed shoppers, that hardly seemed like a crime to Roc. A noble-looking lady wouldn't be able to buy three pairs of shoes and the pickpocket that deprived her would to get to have a dinner. Fair was fair. He spotted these petty misdemeanors as Chishio went on and on about the weather. Occasionally, he'd murmur an agreement or nod his head just to keep her going.
Mercifully, her idle chatter was relieved by evidence of some crime. The counterfeit yul wasn't a trick with which Roc was familiar. Despite her personality, Roc admired the methodical collection and documentation of evidence. "We should be careful about following this trail," Roc advised, glancing at his surroundings. He didn't catch anything in his examination, but that didn't mean they weren't getting trailed or supervised. The yul and the fingerprints were a very a convenient combination to just stumble upon. Especially considering the disruption to normal criminality their little trio posed, it was entirely possible this was the lure for a trap. It could even be enough of a misdirection for a larger crime being constructed elsewhere.
Despite knowing this, Roc could do much with the information. All he could do was hope that what lay at the end of their pursuit were criminals that actually deserved some time off the streets. This time, they'd been much too obvious for Roc to ignore. In preparation for a confrontation, he opened his grimoire, floating patiently at his side. A trap would get violent in no time flat, and closing in on some desperate thieves would be just as gnarly. "I'll cover our rear," Roc suggested, moving to the back of their trio. "Be wary of an ambush," he continued to advise, "this is a little too convenient for my nose."

"Yeah okay." Charles didn't really care about the Golden Dawn member taking the lead, in fact, he was expecting it. That meant he wouldn't have to do put a lot of effort on this mission, he was a lazy guy after all. He walked alongside them through the market, putting his arms behind his head. "Fighting thieves with terrible weather will be more of a pain than it already is." He said, his voice giving off his lazy attitude even more. He definitely wasn't wrong, fighting with terrible weather will just make it harder, especially in a place like the market.
As they walked through the multiple merchants, Charles kept his arms on the back of his head. Looking around the merchant stores, as he suddenly stopped apparently Chishio had found something, as they stopped Charles took a look as he was just behind her, he didn't say anything. He saw how Chishio placed the evidence and noticed the trail. Good thing he didn't have to do a lot of effort, he found this boring and it was likely that those trails could lead to some sort of trap, ending up in some sort of ambush or trap will be problematic of course, he knew that! That will just make the mission more of a pain in the ass for him more than it currently is.
Being careful about his surroundings despite his face and body expressions said otherwise, Charles gave off the energy of a complete silly Magic Knight. It seemed like he simply couldn't be bothered with dealing with his, but he kept going either way. This made it seem like a complete stupid Magic Knight, which you could say what his intentions and he couldn't be bothered with trying to act imposing like the other Magic Knights that were walking with him. Once he heard Roc was going to take the rear, Charles stayed in the middle with Chishio leading the way. He looked behind for a second, he knew what to do in case they were ambushed or attack, with the area surrounding them despite his lazy attitude he was analyzing possible scenarios that could happen at the time, he rather not fight, but if he had to he will do it. The position he took was the best, being between the two will allow him to use his supplementary magic to buff them and his offensive magic which consisted of several ranged attacks, he was in an excellent position to react. If they were attacked from the front Charles was more likely to buff Chishio, if they were attacked from behind then it was more likely for him to buff Roc. If they were attacked from the center, then he will use his offensive spells to attack them. If they were attacked from the front this also allowed him the ability to help Chishio the same thing applied if they were attacked from behind, you could say he was in a good position. This lazy bastard was more than a lazy bastard, he was smart, but his own laziness and negativity didn't allow to see beyond that, his own laziness made him hold back a lot of his abilities, this didn't apply only to him. It was likely the two other people with him had flaws that often made them hold back from reaching their full potential.
Chishio had no good impression on the Black Bulls member. Her faith in this group was already decreasing until Roc decided to also take the initiative and guard the back of the group. He would say something about this situation being a bit too convenient for his tastes.
"You are correct, but we've got to locate them anywho." she'd say to Roc, "Thank you for keeping a watch out in the back. Good idea."
. As she followed the trail, the crowds of customers and merchants would begin to lessen. There were very few people out on these parts of Kikka. Perhaps, there was a bunch of crime in this section that scared people off these streets. As Chishio would look higher in the brick buildings she couldn't help but notice a set of eye leering on her. The building they were passing by was a warehouse that was very wide. Up several floors high was a wide window that would allow her to peer inside. Several men, were looking down on the trio.
"Move." she'd tell the pair as she stopped abruptly in place. Her body turned towards the window. This man was either really attracted to her or just straight-up creepy or perhaps, just really a thief they were looking for, "I said move. Now."
Chishio's grimoire flew open and out came a knife in one hand. Just as she did so, a bunch of chains crumpled up together broke through the window and was aimed at Charles. Chishio was faster though and flicked her wrist hoping that the power wouldp push through-instead was a stalemate.
"What the hell do you think you are doing? You bastard!" she'd scream clearly annoyed by his presence and attempted assault. With that she summoned another knife and flicked it at the man's groin. With that, the man would drop to his knees and holler.
There was a loud alarm sound from several warehouses. As if, there was some sort of magical signal being casted.
As Chishio was cut with pieces of small glass she continued to stand still. Her face and body had cuts that turned red. She'd do several flips back despite the pain and push through. And with that 3 thieves came out of the ware house where huge doors slammed open to look at the trio with the goal to kill.
Chishio, herself, was fine though.
It's not like she could've healed herself after all.
Charles' attitude would be funny if Roc wasn't putting his life in the guy's hands, at least partly. With him watching their rear, he'd be much more secure in their formation. Chishio was at least methodical and smart. With them taking each head of the formation, Roc had confidence they'd handle whatever situation was thrown their way. As their place in Kikka became seedier and seedier, Roc grew more and more cautious. Roc recognized these kinds of streets, the blind spots that existed in every town. It was exactly where he'd hide if he wasn't a magic knight. His prediction seemed to be on the money, as Chishio came under the initial assault of their attack. These criminals were bold. Most would simply flee if magic knights started poking about their business. "They must be protecting something," Roc theorized, trying to make his voice heard over the ringing alarm spell, "hold your ground!"
The small group of criminals that rushed Chishio were soon joined. More and more windows above the magic knights shattered, revealing a rain of glass shards and descending squadron of criminals. This fight had become a small war. Roc couldn't track their falling movement, as he didn't want to risk showing his eyes to the scattered glass. He drew his own grimoire, and braced himself for a coming attack. The magic knights would be hastily surrounded by this formation.
"King Crypt!" Roc cast a spell from his grimoire, trapping two of the criminals within his ashen construct. It wouldn't contain them for long, but he needed to even out the numbers at least a little bit. Though he was the first to cast a spell, Roc found he would quickly be countered. One criminal shouted something indecipherable, and a flaming sword appeared in his hands, slowly rushing Roc with the attack. He would meet the charge directly, and swing his chakram in a wide arc. Though the attack would be successful, Roc would find himself deeper in the formation of the criminals.
Normally, Roc would be opposed to attacking some simple criminals. As he'd decided, most thieves and bandits in the Kikka district were just trying to make a living where nothing else had worked for them. These criminals were a different breed. They were territorial and aggressive. They'd struck Roc first, and with little hesitation. There was no warning or negotiation from them. Roc wouldn't let slide anybody that tried to threaten his life. His forgiveness for criminals didn't apply to this attacking group. He drew his other chakram and prepared further for a continued fight. "Solemn Authority!" Roc's next spell created a thick blanket of ash. It strained his mind and focus to maintain both constructs, but he hadn't been training his mana for nothing. It was taxing, but he would maintain their rigidity. With the blanket of ash down, any approaching criminals would have their movements slowed. Conversely, Roc would have his own movement aided by the pervasive ash. His agility in close quarters combat would easily be capable of outmaneuvering these knights. Two more tried to rush Roc, looking to take him from either side. Roc didn't much like his odds against two opponents at once.
As such, he decided against that kind of confrontation. Roc met the approach of one of the criminals, pushing forward some iron spikes from his arm. The spikes clashed with Roc's chakram, sparks flying in every which direction. Roc sped around the criminal, positioned behind him, and cut a deep gash into the man's dorsal muscles. In his singular focus, a bolt of lightning struck Roc's arms, frying the cloth of his cloak. The spell stung, but was mostly negated by the strength of his hidden armor. "You scum! At least hit me with something good!" Roc flung one of his chakram at the shocked electricity user, and pierced his clothes with a bloody splash. Three of the grunts were incapacitated and two remained trapped by his crypt.
"This fight's going better than I expected," Roc confessed, readying himself for another few rounds with the scum.

As the group walked through the markets. Charles was in the middle yawning. He didn't show a lot of care towards what was going on and just wanted to get this over with. Get paid and go back to the Black Bulls Headquarters, but it seemed like it wasn't going to happen anytime soon.
A few seconds later he saw a knife go past through close to where he was. He turned immediately towards the direction the knife came at. Despite showing such a careless attitude earlier, his grimoire flew open. He looked slightly annoyed, a few centimeters and that could've hurt. It seemed like they were the ones to start the fight, how unusual. Perhaps there was something that they didn't want to see. Usually, criminals were better in fleeing and were usually a mess. These ones seemed more organized. The criminals outnumbered them. Charles moved away from his main group, he didn't want to end up getting hit by an AoE spell from the criminals. It was already a pain in the ass. "Silver Magic: Electric Silver Spear" He muttered. Holding his hand open, a Silver Spear appeared on the young magic knight's hand. His face remained neutral the entire time, no sign of emotion whatsoever. He felt like they attacked earlier than he expected, but it's not like it mattered anymore. Holding the Silver Spear with his hands, he noticed a group of 4 criminals going for him. Throwing his Silver Spear with the intention to not hit any of the criminals coming to him, but instead, the ground below them. The Spear successfully hits the ground, giving it an electric shock in an area of 10 meters. This electrocuted the criminals that were coming towards him. Moving back, he looked at Chishio. He believed it will be smart to give her some assistance, without moving much from his position. Aiming his hand towards Chishio's wrist, a silver bracelet with a red marking appears on her wrist buffing her power stat.
Remaining on guard. Waiting for the next move of the criminals he was fighting, he knew it will take more than that to defeat them and he didn't know exactly how many of them they were. This was annoying for him, the only thing he hoped at least is that all of this was worth it at the end. He was also hoping for his teammates to defeat their own pair of criminals. It was the only way, they could reduce their numbers. Every once in a while he will look for a chance to buff his teammates if possible. It seemed like the lazy Magic Knight was acting less lazy and taking this a little bit seriously. Surprisingly for sure, nobody will expect someone like Charles to something that required effort. Defeating the criminals was the first step in order for them to figure out what exactly was going on. He also had to make sure that no civilians got in the way, he couldn't risk potentially injuring a civilian, or even possibly a civilian getting taken hostage by the criminals for their own benefit. All of that was possible, considering the area they were in. He had to remain careful of his surroundings, as much as he didn't want to do this, he knew lowering his guard will be a huge mistake. Anything could happen in a matter of seconds if he didn't pay attention closely.

Spells used: Electric Silver Spear, Bracelet of Power
Chishio was still pissed about attempting to be randomly attacked and assaulted on.
'Bunch of cowards...' she'd think while shifting her eyes back and forth in skull using peripheral vision.
The woman would glare at the bleeding man at the top of the warehouse. He was laying out bleeding. He'd need some medical attention was very likely, but now wasn't the time to think up of such a thing. Screw him for being a coward. As three more of the bandits came out, 3 were attacked by Roc, and 2 were captured in some sort of magical restraint, along with another bandit who came out.
Then, Charles would cast lighting affecting the entire 4 bandits rushing at him. They would be electrocuted and stunned as they fell to the ground. One spell is all that took for him to take them all down. Perfect timing. Suddenly she'd feel Charles hand against her wrist and gave her some sort of buff.
The woman feeling stronger would decide to pull more of her weight. If these men took out four to five men with one spell she'd do the same. Her kit was well rounded and only knew two offensive spells- one which was a hex meant for smaller amount of opponents. So this time, she'd do something different then her knife.
She'd use her sword instead to attack.
Whipping out the katana, she'd lightly dust the glass shards on her shoulders so lightly yet, quickly, to avoid cutting her own flesh.
She'd activate it and was now running 12 m/s. She'd see two men running over at them from the warehouse behind the trio. Chishio would dart at them in a blur while holding her blade in the opposite direction at her side to not slice her, she already formulated some sort of idea in her head on what should happen.
Naturally, they began to throw chains at her and then use reinforcement to dodge, but she was faster due to her sword and Track Star perk.
As she got closer, her momentum built up and so did her arms. So she took the blunt end, or handle, of the weapon, and busted out of the bandit's left eye. His eye guts fell out of his skull and he got on his knees much like the one on top of the warehouse and bled it out while hollering. Eventually, he became unconscious.
The other man would approach her from behind and she heard him. So she whipped around and did a blow to his stomach via a push kick. She'd race as he fell and sliced his ear off.
After some moments of hollering himself, she'd walk away once quiet. I mean, he'd be ok and live. There would be an issue with his hearing for the rest of his life- sure. But also there was a famous painter who did the same thing and lived, surely he'd do the same?
Chishio would walk back over instead of run, but still at a quickened pace. Seeing all the men lying down she'd say, "Good job men. I think that's the last of them."
Chishio would then approach the restraining spell that Roc had captured the two thieves inside.
"Let them loose, Roc!"

With the support of the other two magic knights, Roc had hardly any fighting left to do. The attackers that had felt the force of their magic decided to stay down, none of them risking their mortality in a duel with the knights. It was clear their power was beyond what the criminals were capable, even if they were outnumbered by a great margin. Roc was pretty satisfied with their fighting. They'd even managed to get through it without having to kill any of the criminals. With that Golden Dawn's bloodthirsty attitude, it wasn't a certainty that would happen. She'd certainly taken charge in the fight, but it was the Black Bull's ability that had caught Roc's eye. His magic power completely overwhelmed the criminals, and he spent a moment to aid Chishio, hardly looking like it tired him at all.
He might've been the most capable of the three, but it looked like the Golden Dawn was committed to taking charge. She even deigned to bark an order at Roc, telling him to dispel his King Crypt. She stood before his base that had managed to trap the two criminals that had been grouped together. His magic did nothing to restrain them or limit their abilities, so there was a chance they were preparing a form of magic within the construct. There was also a chance they slipped free of the fighting once they'd determined that they were outclassed by the magic knights. This theory spoke to the biggest question of these criminals.
"Why didn't they just run?" Roc asked aloud, approaching his own spell. He'd want to be nearby when he dispelled the crypt in case they tried anything clever. He took a moment to reflect on why he might not run in the face of magic knights. If he wanted to buy time for an ally to flee, then he might stay behind to buy time. If there was territory worth defending, then it might be a calculated risk to fight to protect it. Looking around the shady corner that was their battlefield, that didn't seem likely. There were no real resources in the area, and territory disputes were more common between criminals and other criminals, not criminals and magic knights. There might've been a big score worth defending, but again, with their abilities that seemed unlikely. Additionally, any score could've just been carried away in an escape. Roc's understanding didn't provide a clear theory.
The criminals themselves weren't providing an answer either. They were more organized than common thugs, but not any stronger. Some leadership must have rounded up meager thieves. But, to what end? The question burned hot in Roc's head. "Maybe it'd be smart to ask these guys some questions?" Roc decided to turn his suggestion towards the Black Bull knight instead of Chishio. He seemed a little more levelheaded, and he wasn't barking orders at Roc. Instead, he did away with his other ash spell, removing the carpet of ash from the surface of the alley. It fluttered away with a little ceremony, and Roc was relieved to be free of the mana drain of the spell. It was taxing for him to focus on two spells, especially considering he was juggling this thought puzzle.
"I wanna figure out why they might've attacked us. They were organized and angry. We could find something out if we're smart about this," Roc asserted, turning the venom of his words towards Chishio. She was clearly a capable knight, but Roc wasn't dead weight. He certainly wasn't her subordinate. Cooperation was one thing, but subjugation was an entirely different matter. Her Golden Dawn cloak earned her no favors from the Forsaken region native. Roc would be happy to talk things out with the other Forsaken region knight if she was going to act lofty towards him. "Anybody got a theory we can go off?" Roc hoped their suggestions might at least prod an idea in his mind.

Having successfully landing his attack on the bandits that were coming towards him. The lightning oddity on his Silver Magic was something not everybody knew and was something Charles preferred not to openly say. It was an element of surprise that always helped him out during battles. No enemy will expect that the person's his fighting with will have an element with different properties, it was quite uncommon in the Clover Kingdom after all. With the assistance of the other 2 Magic Knights, this was easier for him and less of a pain in the ass. It seemed like one from the Golden Dawn wasn't all talk and seemed competent to him to some degree.
As he stunned the other the 4 bandits and it seemed like they weren't in enough condition to move. He walked up to them and kicked their grimoires aside from them. He didn't want them to grab their grimoires if they woke up, they wouldn't be able to put up a fight if they don't have them. They were also injured.
Taking a look back a Chishio who was finishing off the other bandits, if he was surprised by the way she fought it was very unexpected from his part. Even Roc who was from the Green Mantis didn't fight in such a way. Sure they were bandits, but it's like their mass murders as far as Charles is aware. Did she hate bandits or something? It wasn't normal for someone to be so lethal, he thought to himself after he had just witnessed Chishio busting out the eyes of one of the bandits she was fighting. Having to fight someone as she will surely be a pain in the ass for him, he doesn't want to end up without an eye.
Charles made his way to where Chishio and Roc were at. He scratched his head and sighed. It seemed to be over, for now. "They probably thought they could win. They ended up getting too confident and lost." He replied to Roc with his monotonous voice not showing any sort of care towards why they attacked them, all he knew is that it would've been a bigger pain in the ass if he had to fight all of them alone. He heard yet again the other question Roc mentioned leaning on a nearby building he replied once again. "I'm not a criminal investigator or anything, but bandits usually try to avoid getting noticed. There was probably something up ahead that they didn't want us to see that could possibly compromise their operation. Maybe they attacked knowing they will probably lose, but the entire point was not for them to win, but to buy time for whatever they had in mind." Charles replied, like if it was no big deal despite coming up with a possible theory on why the bandits did that. It made sense, after all, bandits tried their best not to be spotted by Magic Knights. Judging by the fact that they were organized, they probably saw them coming, the presence of the Magic Knights could certainly ruin their plans. He had no concrete evidence about all of this, but there was a possibility this was one of the reasons. No one is stupid enough to just try and attack a bunch of Magic Knights for no reason. There was also the possibility that they wanted to kidnap some Magic Knights and get money for that. Then again they could've got better results with a civilian. Charles was definitely more than just a lazy person, the two Magic Knights alongside him were able to tell, but his laziness was too overwhelming that it was hard to see beyond that. That was possibly his biggest flaw and weakness that prevented him from becoming a much capable Magic Knight.
The bracelet on Chishio's wrist would've disappeared by then as there was no need to keep wasting mana as it seemed that all was done.
"I guess we should head back to the station and drop them off there." It was likely they will do that, but there is also a possibility they will keep looking after hearing what Charles just said about the bandits who attacked them. Those two didn't seem as lazy as he was and will probably keep going until they got into the bottom of this. This also meant Charles will need to go with them, which is something he will prefer not to do. As he will rather drop them off at the station, get paid and call it a day.
"They didn't attempt to run because we were obviously outnumbered, "she'd roll her eyes at Roc. What kind of dumb question was that, "We are Magic Knights of course, so we can easily defeat them through training. Those men didn't know what they were going up against."
After, rolling her eyes at Roc, he did something abruptly. He insinuated she wasn't doing the job appropriately, "I'm just making sure they don't get up. They are savages who attacked probably dozens of people for shit they can get normally by having a job." she'd roll her eyes again
"Excuse me? I'm highly intelligent!" she'd exclaim, clearly offended, "If I wasn't I'd irrationally murder them." she'd tell him, "Maybe listen to me some times. Ok? Because all I asked was for you to drop your dusty cage!" she'd say with a bite. Now he turned to Charles. They were just being biased because of her status. Who he was talking too, ignoring her like a dumbass. When she was the one who knew what she was doing.
She'd show them. She'd show that she could probably kick this 'chump's' assholish and overly assumptions attitude.
So, she did something abrupt in return. As he didn't dare bust open the cage and kept wasting mana for it she'd just break the spell. She felt the blood dripping on her face and the slight slits.
It was undeniably irritating and painful. So she walked over to the casket and heal herself. The slits on her face closed and the bruises would go away. She healed herself and with one last bang, she'd knock down the ash with a clot of blood, revealing the two bandits inside.
They'd look around in confusion. Seeing one of their allies bleeding and missing a limb they grew scared and began to walk backward with hands in the air as if surrendering.
"I....I please spare us!" one would exclaim thinking some of their allies were deceased.
As they bumped the wall, Chishio with hand on hilt would make them sit on their knees, "Look. I don't really know what's wrong with the two of you. But cough up details so, I don't have to slaughter you too." she'd lie. Her face was stern in strict, "Which one of you will speak?" her tip of the blade graced each cowardly boy's neck.
Were they really dead?
No.
Were they injured and on the ground?
Hell yes.
"Roc, ask what you want? Let's get this over with."

It was safe to assume that they won because the bandits thought they had a chance to win. Their overconfidence was their downfall, maybe they managed to defeat Magic Knights in the past, but the ones they fought today were a bit smarter and skilled compared to the other ones. As Chishio appeared to get mad and said she is highly intelligent Charles didn't pay much attention, the job was done all he wanted to do by now is get paid and go. "Yeah, yeah." He yawned clearly wanted to get this over with. "The job is done."
As he saw the cage get lifted alongside the bandits begging for them to get spared. The only reason he thought they were begging for their lives is by how brutal Chishio was acting. Clearly something unexpected from a member of the Golden Dawn. Charles looked at one of the bandits that were begging for them to be spared. Charles looked at the bandit with a monotonous facial expression. "Your friends are fine, they're alive. We are Magic Knights, not murderers." The thought of him or any of the other Magic Knights trying to kill those petty bandits bothered him. Who knows what their story will be? Maybe they had a decent intention to become a bandit usually, people robbed because they didn't have enough money. Maybe if the ones in the upper hierarchy of the Clover Kingdom were less discriminative things will be better.
After that Charles will hear Chishio saying she will slaughter them, this brought him even more disgust, even though Charles was someone lazy and pretty much careless he is someone who personally enjoys seeing people suffer for no reason. "You better not kill them, Chishio." He spoke with a more serious voice tone compared to his laid back voice from before. He has never seen a Noble or a member of the Golden Dawn act so aggressive and be so lethal towards a bunch of bandits with intentions that only god knows. Walking away from they were at, the job was done and he had no interest in continuing he just wanted to head back to the base and maybe sleep. That's all Charles had in mind after his job was done. "I'm heading out now. I'm going to be nice and tell the people in the station to help you out with the bandits." He stretched his arms he walked away from the two of them. A good display on how lazy the young Black Bull was.
Charles eventually made his way to the station before leaving telling the people in it to go help out and put the captured criminals and put them in jail. While the arrangements were made. He was sure the other 2 Magic Knights will be able to solve the rest without him after all Chishio was highly intelligent or at least that's what she said, did she really believe her? Perhaps, but if what she said was true aside from being highly intelligent she was very deadly, he will rather not bother with dealing with someone like her if he has to be truly honest about it. All this lazy Magic Knight hoped for was that the mission was worth his time otherwise, it will probably bother him.
"I.....I guess you are right...." Chishio would state hesitantly to his stern command of not annihilating them and sending them off the earth. None of them were dead just clearly very injured, "Charles" she'd say just as sternly, her voice itself, changing from one soft tone to the next.
"Roc, you stay here with them. I'm going with Charles and you can just watch them I suppose." Chishio would decidedly walk alongside the Black Bull member. In her head, Chishio would relay the events in her mind. The girl had her own goals of how justice should be laid out, regardless, she hadn't only made them bleed out to unconsciousness. Nothing more, nothing less.
As she walked she took a deep breath- an inhale then an exhale. There was no guts or blood on her except her single injury that had already healed. Just dried blood. Her element. As she walked she tried her best to rub the red iron off her face roughly, not wanting to come off as too odd or eccentric once the reached the station. Which she most certainly was after all, very odd and eccentric. Chishio as she walked stayed in silence, clearly Charles was annoyed with her. Though she didn't care but didn't feel like instigating anything with him. And he likely didn't want to instigate anything with her. After all, Chishio had shown a darker and brutal side to him on the first day of greeting and it clearly wasn't perceived well. But she really couldn't judge him, justice had been won after the end of the day.
Chishio would make her way to the base and upon reaching it would confirm their success and state their other 'ally'(she guess he was), was watching the bandits for them. Afterward, she headed back to Golden Dawn's base. Believe it or not, she'd tell Charles, "Goodbye. Have a nice day," and even give a light smile to him in common courtesy.
It was a bit forced, but just like Charles, she was glad it was done and over with so there was still some truth to it as well. Chishio made her departure from the base, her hands behind her back with a light mellow whistle headed home. As she walked she wasn't actually alone, she and her thoughts were one together. Simply just contemplating on what she could've done better to achieve her goal. After all, being a Magic Knight was all about how to reach the proper level of peace in society. She felt as if she had done her goal. Yet, life was still all about progression. Wasn't it?
