The building seems to have appeared one winter night. The tower looks quite old, despite how suddenly its arrival seems to be. It's made of a black but sturdy stone, each piece cut with near-perfect craftsmanship. There is a multitude of windows with cast iron frames and glass that nobody can seem to see through. The tower is covered in snow at all hours as if it was standing in the middle of a snowstorm. Citizens that have tried to approach it could hear the sound of children singing yule songs. The voices would sound heavenly yet distant. The music has an off-or-wrong feeling to it that has caused quite a few that have approached the structure to feel unnerved. Those that have figured out why it feels off have described it as an intense tone of malicious intent.

It was almost like it was stolen straight out of a fairytale. Due to how cold it is here those with heat-based magics will gain a +5 to their speed, those with ice-based elements do not get debuffed but neither are they buffed while those without a heat-based element or spell will gain a -5 to their speed.
A life-sized nutcracker made out of wood, it tends to remain still until people draw clear and then open its mouth. If disturbed in any way other than how they should be the nutcracker will move to defend whichever post they are at. They use food magic and quite often will spit nuts and other types of food at intruders, when the enemy draws near they will switch to melee but will use magic still. These enemies attack creation and sensory.
They have coal for eyes, black hair, and sickly pale skin. They are tiny elves in green clothes, striped socks, long-sleeved collared shirts, puffy pants, and curled boots. They’re aggressive and have a generally bad attitude, nothing will make them happy. They use earth and Fire magics. Tending to favour creating coal, setting it on fire and hurling it at their enemies while insulting annoying children to be exact. Attack creation is the magic specialization that they use.

In the middle of the area is a large tall fence made of chocolate. On the other side of the fence, the ground looks to have a brick pattern like the walls do. Near the gate is a number of nutcracker guards. If they are fed a chestnut, they will spit out a key and remain unmoving for now.
The guards can spit out either a sugar cookie shaped like a key or a gold key. There will be enough gold keys for each person to get one. The gate will open automatically after everyone gets a key. The gold key opens one of the small doors to the next room. Each player must use one key. If the guards are poked, if the ‘guests’ aren’t dressed in Christmas colors, or if they try to open the locked door without a key, then they will be attacked by the nutcracker guards. The door to the next room looks to be made of gold, it only allows people to enter one at a time.

There are a few mugs of hot cocoa scattered through the tables and many small work stools around the tables. On one wall looks to be a work schedule posted with a lot of angry notes scribbled around the shift hours. There is a table next to the entrance that has an empty plate on it. On the plate is a note that says ‘cookies for Santa’. Adding the cookie key will cause the corrupted helpers to say those are not the right cookies. Not adding them will cause them to call them greedy. Defeating a corrupted helper causes a sugar cookie to drop. The young raven-haired necromancer's family had been steadily growing not only in size but in strength, this was keeping her content and keeping her mind of more troublesome thoughts as she bonded with them. This was important to her as she didn't want to strip them of what and who they were when they were alive, to her, it would defeat the point of gaining their strength and would make her no different than those who would think to use her as a tool. Unlike her normal wraiths, Fredrick was freer to move around like a normal living person, she had no idea how it happened but she was glad nonetheless as it helped her gather information she otherwise would never gain. It also allowed her to keep watch for her elder brother who she knew was currently hunting her and would drag her home one way or another.
He had recently returned with news that a dungeon had turned up within the noble region, more than this, however, it had turned up in the Town of Silva. He actually seemed to find it quite amusing of all the places it could have turned up within the noble region it was on the home turf of those egotistical snobs. Aelia had no idea why it was amusing or what a snob was but made a note to ask Jin about it later. She was starting to notice a few things about Fredrick and wasn't sure if it was her imagination or not so it was yet another thing she would have to ask Jin about when they were away from the wraith. She asked for the information he had found out about the place. It was said to be Krampus's palace and that was all anyone knew as anyone that got close was never seen again.
She knew when Jin found out he would be up for the challenge and she was more than happy to collect some more family members as they unravelled the mystery of the place. She sat down at the table and started to draw as she always did when she wanted to give Jin a message. This time it actually didn't seem so messy, it looked as if a ten-year-old would have drawn it, it was more detailed with the Silver Eagle symbol and what she believed the palace to look like. She made something that looked more like the books showed but Fredrick had told her it was black so coloured it as such. She left it on the table and took a few snacks and a bottle of water for the journey as she had decided to walk.
Before she left Fredrick stopped her and took her to dress warmer, this was a warm red coat with white trim and poms. She looked at herself in the mirror and blinked. She was informed if the ice dungeon was anything to go by she would need protection from ice. She was thankful and ran out of the house she and Jin had currently claimed for themselves heading towards the new mysterious dungeon. It took a while but she could see it even before she got into the Town of Silva which seemed unusually empty, more so as she got closer to the dungeon, she guessed that this was normal given what had turned up on their doorsteps. Getting near the gates she stopped and sat of the ground to eat lunch while she waited to see if Jin would turn up or not, if he didn't she guessed she could tag along with other people it just made gaining more family members complicated.

Jin Zhongli
Surprisingly with the recent family events, Jin wasn't feeling to stressed. It actually worked out in the end, he was no longer considered a run away from the family. Though he never truly was, but now most of his family would know what he would be up to from now on especially his mother. So she no longer felt the need the watch him from afar. But there would come a time where Aelia herself had to be properly introduced to the Zhongli family. But now wasn't the time for that, for now they would still have their own adventures uninterrupted.
The white haired rogue came into their home after gathering some information, he wasn't surprised to see that the necromancer was not there. He did see her drawing on the table and was able to understand it near perfectly at this point, her artwork was constantly improving she was quite the artist. It seemed she was pretty eager to take on another dungeon, he figured she would enjoy them. They were excellent ways for her to add to her family, get stronger and acquire some some nice yul. A smirk appeared on his face thinking about the journey Aelia has made thus far, she was coming such a long way since they first met.
Considering the description of the dungeon it was going to be cold one, Jin went to his room and changed into a thicker and warmer red and black coat with a belt, it was the typical holiday colors but it was long. It also had green snow flakes throughout the back and the arms. He put on some black gloves and boots and headed out with his usual tools. Instead of walking he summoned his raven golem from his dagger and flew it to the dungeon to get there a little faster. Once close he flew closer to the ground, he could see the dungeon itself. It was like a tall tower made of black stone it looked quite ominous. He did also see Aelia sitting on the ground eating some food, he landed a safe distance from her and ended his golem spell. He took her drawing out of the inside of his coat pocket. "Looks like you like going though dungeons now huh." Jin said to her with a small smirk. He got a look at her outfit. "Good your going to be warm, I was hoping you would be properly dressed for the weather, very fitting for the season."
Jin hearing some singing in children's voices, they were singing yule songs. But it wasn't exactly cheerful or warming, something felt off about them. There was some noticeable malicious intent in those singing voices, he wouldn't have to ask if Aelia could hear the intent behind knowing her she could already tell and probably did before he even got there. "Alight you ready to go?"
The white haired rogue took a moment to adjust his dark sunglasses on him and started to walk forward. Walking into the front entrance, Jin felt this weird magical sensation cast over his body! It didn't feel harmful but he wasn't a fan of magic being used on him that wasn't his own or that he didn't know. At first he couldn't tell what was happening but eventually he felt like he was shrinking like his actual body was getting smaller. Once it stopped Jin looked down at his body his clothes still fit perfectly, but he was definitely smaller. He looked at his hands and they were tiny. "Wha-wha-what the hell!?" Jin asked out loud "Am I a child!?"

The young woman had been listening to the carols that came from the other side of the gate, it was clear they were still far away but this did nothing but pique her interest. She could tell there was something wrong, almost distorted in the undertone of the otherwise jolly songs but this hadn't unnerved her. She had been conditioned to ignore irrelevant information and concentrate on the task at hand. At that time the undertone of the carolling was irrelevant to her and the reason why she had decided to come. Her sensory wasn't the best but it was getting slightly stronger, she could tell Jin's mana from leagues away and so knew he was getting close. She could have stood up but she decided to continue eating her snack where she was sitting. As he landed he mentioned her enjoying going through dungeons, it didn't make any difference to her in honesty.
She saw it as a way to hone her skills while gaining members for her ever-expanding family. "No. Easy meet family." she said simply as she just finished her sandwich and stood dusting herself off. He would know she was indifferent to things that didn't really concern her but that was due to how she had been raised it had changed ever so slightly but it was still a change that he could see after being with her so long. "Fredrick give." she said as he commented on her outfit, the noble wraith was a confusing one as he could be kind like a father towards her one moment then scold her as if she was just some servant the next. She had never complained one way or the other and Jin had never stepped in to prevent it from happening because of it, it was just accepted.
She looked at him as if he was dumb when he explained that she was hoping that she would be dressed for the weather, then again it wasn't exactly like he knew the kind of conditions she grew in. They didn't speak about their families to the other, it seemed like a line that neither was willing to cross. They knew enough about each other that made them comfortable without putting anyone else in danger. She knew eventually she would have to face her elder brother, he was hunting her with every intention of dragging her back home. She shuddered thinking about the punishments that awaited her and the 'reeducation' that he intended to give her. She shook her head and attempted not to think about that kind of thing, that was a problem for the future and she hoped she would have enough conviction and strength to stand her ground.
Hearing if she was ready to go she nodded "Yes." she never really said more than she had to but she was talking more frequently with him than she originally had done. She had moved towards the gates and pushed them open to enter what looked like a place right out of the picture books that Jin had gotten her recently. Reading and writing were still a struggle for her but with picture books, she could make up her own narration and it changed time so it made her happy. She sniffed at the air lightly it made her stomach turn but then she had never been one for overly sweet things even now that she could choose her own food so it was quite sickening to her. The moment she entered she realized that she had become slower, this wasn't ideal but she could live with it.
She moved deeper into the courtyard and looked around, what caught her off-guard was the four things that looked like guards. This made her stop in confusion as she had seen them in her books but she had no idea what they were, she thought they were actual soldiers because of how they looked in the book but seeing them in real life they didn't look like a true human. She noticed stockings next to each of them and tilted her head. She pointed to the stocking then to the nutcrackers "Give them?" she would ask, it was clear she was confused as believed that they might get attacked if they got too close, then again it could also be a trick that if they touched the stockings that something bad might happen so it was a confusing thing. It was then she heard Jin's voice and so turned to look at what was going on.
She then turned to see a much younger Jin and stumbled over her own feet as she had no idea who she was looking at, they were wearing the same clothing as Jin had been and sounded like a younger Jin but at the same time, there was no way this could happen... right. Landing on the ground hard her grimoire and red spider lily landed on the ground. Without even hesitating she moved quickly to her grimoire and picked it up tears falling from her eyes "Sorry... sorry... no angry... no upset..." she was in a panic that her wraiths might be angry with her for what had happened, she hadn't even noticed that she too had become a small child. She looked far more sickly and more fragile than she normally did. Closing her eyes she took a few breaths to stable herself, she felt so much weaker but she would manage. "We go?" she would ask him

Jin had to take a moment to process what had happened, this was entirely new to him. The dungeon had to somehow alter their bodies and revert them back to a younger age. But luckily mentally he wasn't a child, he was still of his sound adult mind. This was quite the magic feat, to completely revert someones age against their will near instantly. Once Jin stopped freaking out about it, he was honestly impressed. Not only that but his speed was slower, probably do to the temperature in the room. The actual cold itself didn't effect him much, but it was annoying being slowed down. In Jin's case even in his eight year old body he was still quite capable his skills weren't as refined of course, but a Zhongli's training starts very young he just had to remember how to move when he was this small.
But of course like any dungeon once you've entered the dangerous will start to show themselves. Guards made of wood started to move around getting closer to them. Aelia of course had also been effected by the dungeon and she was now a small eight year old girl. She had stumbled and dropped her grimoire that she always liked to carry in hand. It was strange though usually a grimoire will just float beside it's caster, but she had taken to holding it so much she must have forgotten that fact. In Jin's case he was very much opposite, his own grimoire was always hidden as he didn't want anyones eyes on it. Aelia needed a few moments to collect her bearings, and Jin was pretty annoyed at the entire situation at hand. What better than to let off that irritation at some enemies. "Yes we will continue to go." Jin answered her, realizing his voice wasn't the same either and now he sounded like a child.
The room they were in smelled liked chocolate and warm cocoa, it was pleasant he had to admit. Most other dungeons usually smelled bad or rancid. The was a gate in the middle of the room that looked like it was made of chocolate, Jin was wondering if could eat it. But thought it best to probably not try. Near the gate was four wooden nutcracker guards. They looked kind of creepy as if they were reimagined from fairy tale of children's book. But they didn't seem to be much a threat right now, Jin didn't get to close them yet. He was thinking since they automatically attack them when they entered, they might trigger them by getting to close so he kept his distance for now.
Jin would help Aelia to her feet if she needed it. "This dungeon is not like the others Aelia, gather yourself." he said to her. She was more than capable of being efficient and level headed that is what was needed at the moment. "We're in this together and we can get through it." Jin was feeling a little excited he had to admit. Still nothing had happened which was odd for a dungeon, meaning something had to be figured out. The white haired mage looked around for a few and noticed a green stocking and a yellow stocking that were full of large chestnuts. Immediately putting finding the connection, Jin ran over to grab a chestnut being annoyed on how slow and small he was now. "Aelia grab a chestnut and follow me!" he shouted to her holding a chestnut over his head as he went over to one of the nutcracker guards.
"These are called nutcrackers and they used to open chestnuts! Like this! " Jin said putting a chestnut into one of the guards mouths, he was on guard though maybe this would trigger them to attack but maybe it would do something different. But instead the nutcracker guard ate the chesnut and spit out a golden key. "Well usually they crack open the chestnut and don't eat them." Jin said to Aelia looking mildly confused with his hands on his hips. Jin picked up the key and held it. "Now you try." he said to Aelia. Hopefully Aelia understood what needed to be done but copying Jin exactly, if she did the gate blocking the next way forward would open automatically and they could move forward.

Aelia wasn't really in over her head, she was still very aware of her surroundings it was more that she believed that if her grimoire was damaged then her wraiths would be and due to some of their personalities she believed that they would be angry at her for being so clumsy. It was also a side effect of her conditioning, even if she wasn't to blame or there was no blame she would still believe she was at fault. It was something that Jin and Fredrick had been trying hard to break her from but overall it had been less than successful. She did look at Jin as he said they would be continuing and nodded, she was fine with that after all they had gone there to find out what the hell was going on, if she could gain more family members along the way that would make her happy.
She was starting to get up but smiled and accepted Jin's help when it was offered, this was a big step as she ordinarily didn't let herself be touched by anyone outside of her wraiths. Then again she flinched when Fredrick touched her and he was dead, she had never spoken on the reason why but then again that had never come up. She looked to the ground and nodded at his words "Sorry Jin. Do better." her voice was small almost like she had been scolded. Where the raven-haired necromancer was more than capable to hold her own and even had a logical mind in regard to her job thanks to her childhood she was still emotionally and socially stunted for that same reason. She no longer beat herself up if she messed up in such small ways, there was no need to it wasn't like it was affecting either of them currently.
It also wasn't putting a job on the line, so she was less harsh on herself than she use to be. Hearing his words she nodded with a smile, it was the same thing that they agreed at the Ravencrest estate, that they would get through everything together and so far they have kept true to such words. It had let their bond grow stronger and bloom into how it was now. Was it conventional? No, especially for their line of work. Did it work for them? Yes, surprisingly well and with that they seemingly were both happy and so needed the blessings of no other. She listened to him as he ran off to gather a chestnut, she also ran after him she was slower than she remembered even at that age which frustrated her but she managed to keep up nonetheless.
She went to the opposite stocking, the problem was it was up higher than she could reach, she moved onto her tiptoes but still couldn't get out one fully. It was clear she was struggling. She bit her bottom lip and for the first time since they had met, she put her grimoire away. She gently put it in her messenger bag "Not be long." she said to the grimoire as if trying to reassure it. It was then that she moved closer to the nutcracker and started to climb up it effortlessly like it was a climbing frame. She watched what he was doing while leaning over to grab her chestnut from the stocking taking in the information she was given but it was at that point that they started to move. Without missing a beat she stood and backflipped from the thing landing gracefully in the snow in a crouch. "They move?" she would ask wondering if that was normal.

Aelia had tried to her best to copy what Jin had done, but the difficulty she was facing was because of her size. She was much shorter than usual because of the age change the dungeon forced on them. Just as Jin was about to help her she had back flipped back, she would have only done that if one of the nutcrackers had moved and made itself a threat. Jin's natural instincts had kicked in at this point, seeing the nutcracker's come to life he wanted to take advantage of the moment. Because he was slower than he normally would he had to act first, which he did instantly grabbing his long dagger and dashed in to land two fast slashes on the nutcrackers middle section destroying it. "Yea they move."
There was a total of four nutcrackers and Jin had just taken down one of them. So now that left three, the white haired rogue reactively threw his long dagger at the face of another nutcracker piercing it before it could let out a spell from its mouth. The rogue then ran up and landed a kick to it's leg to bring down to his level and landed a strong punch to its chest taking down that one as well. Considering Aelia would probably be feeling her loss in speed, Jin would activate a spell to help with that. Vephar
Swiping his left arm to the side, Jin created a red void rift right in front of Aelia that would drop a short sword for her to use. She would be familiar with the spell as she's used it before, knowing it would give her a nice boost in speed and another way for her to do damage. But the rogue's spell didn't end their his control over his magic still remained very refined so he was able to create two more void rifts but this time the rift was made up above another Nutcracker dropping the short sword blade first onto it's head damaging it. The other rift was created next to him so he could grab the short sword and use it to increase his speed, dashing towards the same nutcracker and slashing it across the chess defeating another one. Leaving one left for Aelia to finish off.
With all the nutcracker defeated Aelia would be able to grab the key and now they both can head towards the next room.

Jin would go into the next room first, this room smelled like cocoa and sugar cookies. Not a scent he was used to in a dungeon, it wasn't a complaint though just very odd. The entire room was decorated in various sugary and holiday themes. The floor itself looked like it was made of cookies, the walls made of chocolate. Jin was still wondering if any of this stuff was actually edible, but wasn't curious enough to try it. The white haired rogue started to look around at the tables, yet again nothing came and out right attacked them. Meaning their may have been something to solve in order to move forward. One table in particular had a note that stated "Cookies for Santa." But Jin had no cookies on him, and there was no cookies around him either. Jin started to think was there another way to get cookies here somehow that he missed.
Jin turned around to face Aelia as he was about to let her know what was on mind. But before he could speak there was screams coming towards them. "Greeeeddyyy!" Small soulless like beings were running towards them. Eyes made from coal and pale skin dressed in green holiday colors. In a weird way they looked kind of cute, but they were aggressive and fast. Jin reacted quickly and activated a sensory illusion spell that would completely hide him and Aelia away from nasty little corrupted helpers. "Alloces, Gaze the Void." he said his left eye shined blue for a second as his illusion was casted throughout the entire room. The little helpers would see nothing but pitch blackness, as one would see looking through a void. Because the little helpers couldn't see their targets, none of their magic could land directly. Aelia was safe from this illusion because of Jin's refined control.
"They can't see, hear or sense anything right now, perfect time to counter attack." Jin said to Aelia with a grin. He still had access to some of his stronger spells despite being in child like form that was good to know. Jin wasn't go to waste the opportunity his illusion spell provided dashing forward dagger in hand slicing one, and spin kicking another. Leaving six to deal with.

Description: Displaying more unique mastery of the void and it's energies. Jin has learned a spell that allows him to create ethereal blades for him to use in more direct combat. By swiping his arm to the side, he summons the blades. Each blade is 70 cm long resembling short swords, that are dark blue in color. Creating a rift anywhere in his visual sight with a maximum distance of forty meters, the blades are made from that rift. If he wishes Jin is able to create a invisible marker within the same range of the spell, allowing him to use the spell at a later time. When used the marker will vanish and need to be recast. The marker takes the shape of a red star, no bigger than a human sized hand. Using his control he can move them with a mana tether if he so wishes or hold them in hand. Each blade is capable of dealing intermediate rank damage by cutting, slashing, and stabbing it's target. Do to the properties of Void magic, the blades can appear in a instant like manner and can completely destroy items and physical matter that are not reinforced by magic. For example using a blade to cut through a wall not reinforced my magic, said blade would easily cleave through it with no difficulty. With the use of ammo rules additional blades can be created, in accordance to his control. Also anyone holding this blade receives an increase in speed, reactions, swiftness and velocity.

She was starting to really dislike this place, it was more than an inconvenience at this point it was bothersome. She knew, however, that her strength relied on that of her wraith family which mean she would need to do things that irked her more than a little. Im this case she wasn't sure if it was the fact that she was cold, slower, smaller or that there where some ugly looking things looking to hit her. In honesty, it was likely a bit of everything but the fact she was smaller actually made her scared more than anything else. A lot of terrible things happened to her when she was small, when she didn't have her family there to give her hope... to protect her from her much older and stronger sadistic brother. Jin knew she had an older brother and on the one occasion he had met him knew she was afraid of him.
Beyond that he had never spoken of his family and so far she had been able to avoid him. She was the superior assassin by far which she knew he hated but she knew he would hunt her and drag her home. She knew if she ended up there she would never see Jin again, that she would be reconditioned and that they would make her forget about everything she learned and who she had met. It would be made to be nothing more than her mind playing tricks, it would be twisted or she would be gaslit to believe them. She didn't want that, her life now was still complicated but she liked it. With Jin and her family. She hadn't even gotten up when Jin had summoned a spell and started his assault on the nutcrackers after confirming that they did indeed move.
Aelia knew this spell well and took one of the blades dashing forward being careful not to slip on the ice, that would be far to embarrassing and she doubted she'd ever live it down. With ease Jin had taken out three of the four nutcrackers. Aelia was left with one, the one that she had decided to use as a climbing frame kicking it a few times along the way. Well, she decided to climb it again dodging what could only be described as Christmas pudding bombs that seemed to explode the moment they touched something. It got all over her new clothes but she hadn't even paid attention as she got to it's shoulder and stabbed it in the neck. Once wedged in she got up and jamp onto the handle before she backflipped as if using it as a springboard as the nutcrackers head came off and landed beside her as she landed.
"Come to my graveyard, we can play forever." she whispered, it was the first part of her normal claiming ritual as if inviting them. She knew she could take them but this almost made it seem as if they had a choice on the matter. That choice was important to her because she'd never want someone to be what she was before Jin started snipping her strings She then moved to her knees placing her grimoire in front of her and the red spider lily which was glowing red showing there was something dead nearby. "For those that have come and gone, through love and strife, whether you are forgotten or remembered thanks is given to you all so we can continue our paths undisrupted." her voice was hushed as if she was paying to those who had long since passed in hopes they might find some peace. With the new wraiths accepted into her family she stood up and dusted herself off from the food and snow that was on her and ran to catch up with Jin picking up the void dagger
[Floor 1, Room 2]
Entering the first room she put her red spider lily into her hat but it was still visible by her left eye so she could see it if it started to glow, she knew it would cause irritation but she needed her hands free for now. She sniffed at the air as she looked around, to her it was sickly sweet, and she didn't enjoy it at all. This was likely because she wasn't used to such smells in a subtle way so this was just overwhelming. "Not like." she said as she stopped next to Jin. She looked at the plate for a moment wondering what it was for, it was then she put her hand into her pocket and held out the cookie shaped key they got from the nutcrackers wondering if they were meant to put them on the plate. "Jin... these?" she asked just putting it on the plate not thinking much of it.
"That's the wrong cookie." said a cold unfeeling voice making the raven haired necromancer look around to see who had said such a thing. Just as she heard that she heard Jin being called greedy, she knew that in their line of work, greed could be a part of it but she hadn't ever seen him be greedy with her if anything he was the opposite. She saw the 'helpers' dashing towards them, they were actually taller than her, not that, that was surprising given her genealogy and current age. They were dressed in traditional seasonal colours that she had seen the year before but their clothing seemed a bit puffier compared to the more helpful elves that were seen giving gifts to children. There wasn't any time to gain any insight as to what the right cookie was as not only were they aggressive but they were also fast and that was never a good thing.
She placed the dagger into her belt and ran towards one of the helpers, it created coal that was on fire and threw it at her as if it was a bomb "too bad so sad" it said as it hit her arm setting her top on fire. She would deal with it later instead when she was close enough she jumped and gave it an axe kick to the head before roundhouse kicked it. "Children these days are so naughty... you don't deserve toys...." another said throwing another fire coal bomb her way. This time she was smarter and dodged it sliding as she got close as to knock it off its feet before quickly righting herself and stamping on its neck before it could recover. She had noticed that each one had dropped something but she couldn't speak to Jin about it at current.
It was then she decided that since these annoying little elves wanted a treat she would give them one, well, she'd make them one would have been more accurate. "Riksq L'toga" she whispered more to herself than anyone else. Jin wouldn't be able to see what she had just done, but due to his sensory he would be able to feel it. In the shadows above them were four wraiths. She had grown strong, that much was certain, he had even taken her to gain more family members not so long ago. The issue was since gaining them she had never summoned them while he was around so he had no real way to discern which of her new family members she may have just called. He wouldn't need to wait long as one of the other helpers ran forward only to be grabbed up by a sickly set of tendrils. "Dustbunny hungry." she said as if it was the most natural thing in the world as it screamed half the body falling to the ground.
It would be then that Jin would be able to see the abomination from the Eldritch home. The mutated slug-like 'dust bunny' in a sickly yellowish-brown. It was around 2.5m long from top to tip and had four tendrils on its back that acted like arms as he just saw. He would be able to see one of the legs still hanging out of its mouth. The other three had yet to act although they were moving around looking for how best to strike out at their prey. Just like that the tables had been turned in their favour as the enemy was now not just outclassed but outnumbered.

For such cute little things, these little helpers were very dangerous. Even though essentially blinded, deaf and robbed of sensing mana they still attacked with just not target in sight. Jin took a moment to observe them, they used fire and earth magic in unison throwing flaming coal in random places. The white haired rogue then looked over to Aeila to see how she faired, she was getting stronger and stronger the more she added to her family the more powerful she became. Even more so because she fought alongside her summons, instead of just sitting back and doing nothing.
Jin watched as she used new wraiths, ones that decided to hide in the shadows it seemed familiar. Eventually they revealed themselves and Jin remembered them, they were from the dungeon they completed not to long ago. He was pleased she was using them more so cause she was getting so much stronger. Jin planned to have Aeila by his side for a long time, and eventually they would have to tackle more and more challenging tasks in order to accomplish their goals. In order to do that they had to be strong, even more than that actually. They both had remarkable potential according to the lantern, Jin planned on them both accessing their full potential.
Watching the wraiths go to work, was somehow comical and horrific but Jin wasn't horrified by most things if anything it got him to grin. One of her dust bunnies had a leg sticking out of it's mouth. It was clear at this point that the enemies in this dungeon so far were no match for them at all. Getting through most of it will most likely be a breeze, unless something truly crazy happened. Jin noticed a cookie would fall to the ground when one of the corrupted helpers were defeated. He would come back to it once the threat was neutralized.
Jin was spinning this long dagger in his small child like hands, before dashing to one of the little helpers and slashing it across the back. And doing it again for another one with ease, the last one still blinded of course was still throwing out flaming charcoal hitting nothing. Jin ran towards it, and dodged the attack easily by flipping over it's head and landing behind it. Another slash from his weapon hitting it's back was enough to finish it off.
Jin ended his illusion spell with a swipe of his arm. With all corrupted helpers defeated, he went to one and picked up the fallen cookie and examined it. Taking a moment before looking at his partner and the new wraith she summoned. "I know those guys. From the last dungeon, glad to see you finally use them." he said to her.
Jin looked at the cookie again and remembered seeing a plate near the entrance and things stared to make sense. He then realized Aeila might not get all references that were happening. "Aeila have you ever heard of Santa Claus?" he asked her, Aeila sometimes knew of the most random facts and information and other times didn't know the names for certain things. So he asked her just in case she didn't know. "Well Santa Claus likes cookies." he continued picking up some of the cookies that were on the floor and walking over to the plate to place some of them down. He left the ones that her and her wraith defeated in case she wanted to help out.

Aelia was ready to continue fighting but by the time she had got the last three in sight, Jin had already handled them. She moved to her wraiths and stroked their heads lovingly with a smile on her face, she seemed fully at peace with them but then she was the exact same way with each wraith she considered her family. Hearing Jin's words she turned her head to look at him. "Bond take time." she said even though the pair had been together for a while she still didn't talk a lot and due to this her language skills were still weaker than they should have been. In her mind she didn't really need to speak, she was still just a tool that was required to follow orders. She turned her gaze back to her wraiths and smiled once again.
Jin was right she hadn't used them before now and in honesty, she could have, but she didn't feel right in doing so. It felt hollow and empty, like she viewed them like her own living family viewed her and she wouldn't stand for it. She insisted on building a bond of love and trust, to see where each family member's boundaries and limits were and never pushing them past that even though she knew she could. She also promised them that she would never call for their aid again if they ever told her they no longer wished to help her. Luckily that had yet to happen due to how she insisted on doing things. "They want help, I agree." she said showing that the wraiths themselves wanted to help her. Due to the rarity of her element and how each wraith user was unique, it was quite hard for anyone to know if it was just in her head or if she really could hear those she took into her family.
She looked at Jin as he asked the question if she knew about Santa Claus and shook her head, it was her first time hearing about such a person. "No. Important?" she would ask trying to figure out if this was something important that she would have to remember just in case she needed to kill them later down the line. He went on to say that Santa liked cookies, and she was confused as to why what he liked to eat was so important. She watched as Jin picked up some cookies and put them on a plate, she moved to some that were near her and picked them up before walking over to the plate and placing them down, her 'dust bunnies' moving back to the shadows were they were comfortable watching for prey.
She moved back to the corrupted helpers and looked over each one inspecting them carefully, she didn't care if they were hurt but badly damaged ones would only live in suffering and she didn't want that. She moved the best four next to each other with the help of her wraith and knelt placing her grimoire on the ground in front of her and the red spider lily to the righthand side of it. She brought her hands together as she always did when she started to request aid from new family members. "Come to my graveyard, we can play forever." she whispered softly so only they could hear her words. The red spider lily which was now glowing like it did every time there was something dead nearby. "For those that have come and gone, through love and strife, whether you are forgotten or remembered thanks is given to you all so we can continue our paths undisrupted." her voice was hushed as if she was paying respects to the dead.
Her grimoire fluttered open to an empty page, new glowing text started to appear as the bodies started to vanish and mana entered her grimoire showing that they had been accepted into her family. When this was done she picked up her red spider lily and grimoire before standing up and dusting herself off. By now Jin would should have been used to the ritual of her accepting what she considered family members. "Four new." she said to Jin as she walked past those who were not accepted by her to get to the now open doorway in the hopes of deeper into this strange place, the gentle tapping in the shadows showing that she hadn't dismissed her dust bunnies.
Floor 2, Room 1
Passing the threshold of the workshop the young necromancer was met with what looked to be a winding staircase, she tilted her head a little almost like she was observing it. She had never seen steps made out of this material, in honesty, she had never seen the material before. She hadn't noticed the scent before but as she got further away from the workshop and closer to the steps her nose was assaulted by what she believed to be a sickening scent so pulled her scarf over her mouth and nose. It was clear she didn't like the sickly sweet smell of gumdrops and gingerbread. She moved closer to the bottom step and took off her mitten to touch it, it felt almost like the cookies she had just put on the plate in the previous room. She had no idea why someone would waste food in this manner but in truth, she didn't know why anyone would consider it food in the first place.
Slipping her mitten back on she started to move up the steps, it took her a few minutes to get to the top but she managed it with ease and although she did cross the threshold to the next room she stood by the door awaiting Jin's arrival. At that time she looked around the room. She noticed the floor was the same as the steps she just walked up, that the fireplace was made out of the same gumdrops as was on the walls of the winding staircase. She noticed that there was a fire burning but it wasn't causing harm to the sweet treats that were being used as a fireplace or even the sweets that were used as a fireguard. It was all so odd to her. The next thing she noticed was the luxurious sofa with the footstools.
In front of the lavish sofa, she noticed a table with hot beverages but it seemed as if they were one was half drunk while the other wasn't touched at all, had they interrupted people or perhaps just missed them? She didn't know but she did understand there was a good chance they were going to end up part of her family before she and Jin left this place. She took note of the extravagant feast that was nearby but all it did was turn her stomach. She noticed the large bloodied woven back basket, wooden rod and bundle of sticks. She pointed to it as if she knew Jin was there "Naughty or nice?" she would ask, she understood now that such terms were subjective so wondered how Jin would class the owner of the bloodied basket. In honesty, it didn't matter to her but that was more due to her upbringing.
It was then she heard something and turned her gaze to look at where the noise was coming from. What she saw surprised her, there were four large cats with what looked to be decorations on top. She wasn't wanting to disturb them but she noticed no sooner as she realized they were there than they realized she was there and so began to stand. She truly wished they would have just remained relaxing with one another but now they had made themselves a threat and that meant they needed to be taken out. She remained quiet and still but she had already given her four dust bunnies the order to hunt and kill the threat which they had done while remaining in the shadows. She, herself, dashed toward one of the enemies and while sliding between the legs of the oversized cat kicked at all four of its legs while one of the dust bunnies struck from above killing it.
The dust bunny itself let out a scream of pain as it was impaled with three shards of ice, this made Aelia more than a little annoyed as the one thing you never done was mess with her family "Go ahead Jin, I deal with." her voice was colder than the ice the cats had put through her family member, each word though calm showed an anger that had never crossed her lips before as tears fell from her eyes as if she felt the pain that the wraith had. "I catch up, promise." She didn't want Jin interfering with this, it was personal for the young necromancer that much was clear. She saw the ice tendrils move towards her but it did no damage.
it did slow her and pull her towards them as they dashed forward but the three other dust bunnies took the opportunity to fall on the three remaining riders dealing damage to them but they were quickly destroyed with what looked like flaming ice from the riders of the oversized forest cats. Each of her dust bunnies had let out a death scream which cut more into Aelia than the claws of the cat that had ensnared her, it was enough for the young woman to see red and open palmed it's nose full pelt twice at full strength before axe kicking it hitting its head on the way up before crushing it's nose on the way down. She hadn't even felt the deep gash she was now sporting as the emotional pain and sorrow was there. She knew they weren't truly gone but it didn't take from her that her family had been hurt.
