[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Before the entrance to the forest… [break][break]
Amays’s tone was…annoying to say the least, not that he had any issues with her as a person…the Ravencrest family was always very much an “upturned nose” family…Then again, the Blake family was heading the same route before he intervened. When she mentioned that her cousin was a Royal Knight Zaven fought back the urge to respond because Lydia…left them high and dry and he was not fond of that as well. Regardless, the Shadow of Dawn left it as it was because he was not in the mood to make any more small talk…Sol telling him to rest with assurance on knowing he had grown and while Zaven found it hard to believe, he also knew Sol had the capabilities to become something great…so he had nothing further to say. He had already slipped the satchel on his back and was not worried about what was packed…Hinota had a good head on her shoulders. The white-haired fellow seemed at least friendly onwards Hinota, but without wearing a mantle…he could only be a civilian…a pity that the Wizard King had to go to great lengths…but then again he also had no misgivings that if the male was there…he had the qualifications. [break][break]
Listening to Hinota explain the contents of the satchels and that there were even a few pieces to help out with his Spirit Dive…the Golden Dawn captain was at least grateful, but a smile never graced his face. Hraban was a little off-put at Zaven's initial thoughts not vocalized when Hinota arrived, but the spirit returned the greeting with the sweet-smelling mage before Hraban felt a tinge of thought from his partner and returned to Zaven’s side as the puppet witches as Zaven was now denoting them came forward and explained their little invitation. With his words as he looked at the Wolves Amaya was first to speak against his suggestions to attack the wolves that looked as though they were just waiting to attack. This…was a first strike for him, for too long he tolerated the talk back of those under his rank…his mind was changing on those that were “knights” under the rule of the Wizard King…” The witch is a dae…” With a sigh Zaven centered himself and while his aura was menacing, he did not further the situation or discussion…for now. " Thank you for your thoughtfulness Ms. Yuiee. These will be of great help during our journey I am sure, and thank you for the warning." He knew one thing though…daemons were not to be fucking trusted…invitation or not. Aamon invited Ardere, Asmodeus invited Zaven and Ardere…Zaven had been approached numerous times in his experience. These fucking things wanted one thing…submission and souls to bend to their will. Sol was the next to speak up and he backed up Amaya, while also having some lean toward not trusting the daemon's invitation. Hinota looked scared and worried as was normally the case for ANYONE that came into a situation such as this. However, as Hinota approached Amaya to do the leading she whispered as though to remind him of what happened the ONE time they spent training. ”I have not forgotten…trust me…” He said quietly as she simply passed by. Since then he had actually been working on ways to remove or at least numb the curse placed on him. He did this so that he could remove any further use of any emotion other than cold calm. With his anger proving though…he still had a ways to go, but he still did not whisper back to Hinota. Instead, he let her pass by and he looked at his spirit who just looked back at him with a knowing look…even if he could not see his friend’s eyes. [break][break]
Zaven would wait for the party to pass ahead of him, he brought up the rear as he had little trust in daemons, and right now…the team synchrony was… off-put in his eyes and as such he felt as though he needed to keep a watch on ALL of them. He did not bat an eye as he passed by the wolves, they could snarl all they wish, but he just began to formulate plans of his own as they continued on the path. ” From leader…to simple follower…” He just said to himself in a whisper as he put his hands into his pockets. He kept his aura up, wanting to let the mana beasts know that their physical snarl meant nothing in the eyes of a predator that has tasted blood, death, and come back. His senses were heightened as he reached out with his sensory to gather ANY information.

Jin Zhongli
Hinota Yuiee had packed them all food, but like Jin had guessed there was more to it. Each one had a particular effect that would greatly help them out when the time called for it. Jin was not to surprised, only because his cousin Junjie had told him about Hinota and her ways. She was very thoughtful of others and always had a plan, she was the ultimate support mage through and through. Not only because of her abilities but also because of her character. "Ha ha I don't mind it at all Hinota I was raised on eastern food my entire life. Thank you so much."
The feeling of being watched had never left Jin since he arrived at this forest, it was to be expected but that didn't mean he had to like it. There was no sense of privacy, and in those little spaces were no eyes on him is when Jin really got most of his work done. Not that this would impede on him in anyway, he could adapt of course like any well trained Zhongli. It just was his preference.
The wolves snarling only at the men made Jin chuckle to himself, he recalled a few times in the past where he was targeted because of his gender by some lunatic all female gang. Unfortunately none of them were around anymore, but that was because they did not understand reason and compromise. He doubted this 'Queen' and the daemons did either, but hopefully there would be a chance for some sort of negotiation. But even with that there would probably still be blood by the end of all this.
Before he moved into the forest he heard Amaya speak again, listening to her words Jin's initial thoughts resurfaced. She was naive. Almost dangerously so. It reminded Jin of when he had show the horrors of the world to his little sisters at times, it didn't come from a place of being mean or wanting to scare them. But sometimes it was needed because being naive could get one killed one day. But this Amaya Ravencrest wasn't one of his sisters, and she was older she was a young adult. Perhaps in her life she had allowed the luxury of wearing rose colored glasses her whole life. Jin wasn't personally familiar with Ravencrest, but he doubted other Ravencrests shared a similar viewpoint as her. At least from what he heard. But nonetheless he was tempted to have words with her, but it was not his place to do so. She had much more familiar people with her that can probably do a better job. Jin walked in after the females and Sol, walking in front of Zaven.
One of them being Sol Shinryu the knight from the Green Mantis, it was clear now that they were in a relationship. He had just finished thanking Hinota for correcting him, it seemed that Jin and Hinota shared a similar mindset on things. It seemed the Shinryu took it well and learned from it. Then hit Jin with a question as well, it seemed there was again just a bit of down time. So now he could address both questions from Hinota and from Sol. "Hahaha no no not inaccurate at all. Hinota and I hail from similar backgrounds in fact. So at times I will introduce myself with my eastern name Jun depending on who I am talking to. But when I'm meeting new people in the west I tend to use Jacob since its a more accustomed name." Jin replied to Sol. "You may call me whichever one is easier to you I don't mind either to be honest."
"As for how I ended up here is not a long story. The threat of the Daemons ever since their first arrival had always left an impression on me. For obvious reasons they left quite the impression on lots of people. Assisting the magic knights and the Church had always been on the back of my mind. Valo Stark is held in high regard especially in the Forsaken Region, so when whispers went out about the possibility of him not being able to join people began to talk. It has hard to believe at first, but while I do not know him personally. He had gained the title of Unrelenting Flame for reason, talk of this would not have even begun unless there was some truth to it. So I wasted no time in establishing the connections needed in order to join and take his place. Luckily enough word from the King one didn't need to have ties with the Knights or the church, so I offered my services. While I by no means think Valo Stark is replaceable in any way, I can only aim to do my best in his stead and hope he can recover. " Jin gave the full reason for why he was here to the entire group, so now there was no confusion. "That was longer than expected haha."
Eventually Jin's sensory picked up on something instantly, and considering what it was and the situation he had reason to speak on this out loud. But he was sure some of the others would have picked up on this. "Were in a trap. The whole forest is a trap without a doubt. But this particular snare trap is forcing us to move in the only path available and that is forward. I assume this path is the direct way for her...invitation. So we can assume its a safe path forward. But at least in my experience there is no true safety in enemies territory. Do you think its worth sending a golem forward first, so it can take the brunt of anything that may try surprise us along the way? Or is it unnecessary." Jin asked the question to the team instead of just doing it on his own. This was a team effort so most decisions should be made as one, Jin had experience working with others over his life.

[attr="class","tamaflowersscroll"] The doll like mage walked forward slowly and carefully holding the silk sleeve of Amaya's hanfu in one hand while the other was kept gently around the shadow spirit for as long as he would allow. Holding onto Hraban gave her a kind of comfort that she couldn't explain but she knew it wouldn't last long, this was something that was proven to be true as Hraban flew back to Zaven. Her eyes closed as she walked almost as if she was praying, this wasn't at all the case. The moment that they passed through the forest's threshold everything changed. She could no longer worry about the world outside of it or even those that she wished to be at the side of. She had to compartmentalize and focus on the task at hand as much as it hurt her to do so. [break][break] 'If I don't focus someone is going to get seriously hurt or worse perish because of a mistake that could have otherwise been avoided.' she thought to herself. Feeling her captain's mana she opened her eyes and turned to look at him, she didn't understand predators or the need to show one's strength but how could she with how she was as a person? Valo and Kiyoshi had attempted to explain it to her and where she could understand the logic of it she couldn't understand it on the same primal level that they could, it was quite frustrating. "I have to wonder if that was a test and if we could have just failed it." she said thoughtfully, she shook her head a little believing such a notion to be foolish. "We need to be careful of our actions, we all know this is a game for the queen's entertainment. The issue is we don't know the rules of this game yet." she reminded them all. [break][break] As Amaya spoke of suggested directions she merely stopped and looked into her eyes with a saddened look "Are you really so naive Amaya?" she would ask, her words holding sorrow to them "As you know I am a pacifist but even I'm not so foolish to believe that I'm walking into a daemon's domain and there won't be collateral damage to the surrounding area and bloodshed of the denizens that call that place home." she said her tone more like a scolding sister. "What we can do however is guide the attack so the least amount of damage and death is caused on both sides." she truly hoped that Amaya understood that this was a time of war and if they failed that everyone and everything they cared for would suffer for their failure. [break][break] "If you wish an example of this talk to those who went to protect Kikka, those who had to live the two months of never-ending darkness and those who went to liberate it from that darkness. Sven and his children are gone but even now the effects of that event are still felt throughout the kingdom. Do you understand this?" she would explain to her. She knew that the pair of them had lived very privileged lives, however, while Amaya was a socialite and debutant not having to worry about much she had been prepared for a life within the imperial palace of her families homeland where there was danger around every corner and even one misstep could cost you that privilege if not your life. She used her future to her advantage and that was how she was allowed to learn tactics and politics, it just turned out she was a prodigy in them. [break][break] "As much as she is the sovereign of the witches, she is still a daemon and doesn't deserve the revelry that you are giving her... she's your enemy." She sighed shaking her head "I suspect that there are at least three sets of eyes on us. Lilith and the two children that the majority of us have already met but I suspect there is more, the issue is we don't know how many that might be or any of their magics really." It was a frustrating truth and would make this whole expedition more difficult as the enemy had kept their cards close to their chests. She hadn't noticed the cold before but now that the light had vanished so had the warmth that it had brought causing her to shiver a little. Her eyes went to the bracelet that Valo had made for her and knew that if she got too cold she could use it to warm herself. [break][break] She was able to use her own magic to do the same thing due to its warming nature, the issue was it was a light source so it would draw additional attention that she would rather avoid if possible. 'Why are all warm magics bright?' she thought to herself before sighing silently. The thoughts were forgotten as she heard Sol's words and smiled gently "You're welcome like I said I don't want us to be consuming anything in this forest because it could have unknown effects and it's not something that I want to try and factor in with the number of dark spots we have at current." she explained warmly "Of course, I remembered such things it was important." she said with a light chuckle bringing up a sleeve covered hand as she did. Hearing his words from her light scolding she could only nod in acknowledgement. [break][break] "Jacob?" she looked to the white-haired man confused as to the new revelation and so waited and listened to the explanation given by the man she knew as Jun. She had met a few people who had both Eastern and Western heritage, for one reason or another they ended up with a name for each culture and so they would interchange them depending on whom they were talking to. "That is reasonable, it makes it easier for the person in question although it may be confusing if we call you two separate names. Please choose which you would prefer to be called and we will call you that." she said warmly. "Also, I am relieved that you were raised on the food of our homeland, I don't feel as guilty now." her voice still as calm as it had always been. [break][break] Her eyes were looking around the area with the little light the break in the tree canopy high above, it was then she noticed that the way they came from had changed. There was no leaving for them now. "It would seem unless we defeat the enemy we are never leaving this place." she commented, it wasn't an ideal situation for any of them as she was pretty sure they would like to continue living but if they did need to perish they would choose anywhere but where they were currently to do so. It was then Zaven spoke to her "Since when have you been so formal with me?" she would ask almost seeming hurt that he had done so. Everyone else was speaking on a first-name basis but here he was calling her by her familial name. It was true she had only called the elder male his name one time. [break][break] That time was when it was a more social setting, something she wished they had done more but incidents kept happening preventing such things. He was her captain and so deserved the respect of one. "I am glad that they will be of use to you, I placed some regular shadow rice cakes in your satchel for Hraban, he enjoyed them last time I made them for him." she said with a smile her eyes still keeping an eye on the area. She walked towards Zaven a little away from the group "The curse was for you to feel and understand empathy, knowing my mind as soon as these requirements are met it will vanish. I will attempt to keep my emotions under control so you aren't affected too much by how I am feeling." she whispered so only he could hear. [break][break] She didn't know much about her captain but knew he was guarded and that he had many demons in his closet that he didn't want to see the light of day. She smiled at him a little, she knew things were going to happen that he may not like or disagree with but he was the one in charge of this team and so what he said went. She would only help guide and advise but it wouldn't be easy with two people who had never dealt with this kind of threat before and with how clueless Amaya seemed she was quite sure she was going to get under her captain's skin on more than one occasion along the way. She just hoped that he would have the patience to help her learn and grow from whatever misstep she may do thanks to the extremely sheltered life she had. [break][break] "Captain, perhaps think of it another way? We're in a domain that is filled entirely by women, men who enter are usually attacked on sight so ever think that someone is attempting to help you keep your skin?" she would ask him "Allowing Amaya and I to go first is keeping the natural order for this place, besides, aren't you the one always wanting me to take lead?" she still wasn't happy that she was being forced into such a situation again regardless of what it was for but this is what made most logical sense, at least for now until she could gather more information. Though she had been talking to Zaven she had listened to Jun's reasoning for being there and looked to Zaven, surely if there was another person meant to join them then he would have been notified in advance. Where it could be plausible the fact she didn't believe Zaven knew made her suspicious although it didn't show on her face, after all, stranger things had happened. [break][break] It was then that Jun started to speak about the forest and how it was a trap they had been ensnared in and how the only path afforded to them was forward and so the safest path. "I disagree with this being the safest path." she whispered "It is far too blatant to be the safest and so will likely lead us to a serious threat or another kind of danger." she explained, she had no idea if this was indeed the case, it was all just guessing and speculation on everyone's part and she disliked it immensely. "Their warning was to let females walk first so a golem not having gender may be an issue. I would suggest we walk off the path but I can't sense things the way most of you can." she admitted. "Captain, you are going to have to decide how we proceed." she said looking at him ready to follow the orders given to her by him.

Kikka is a town known to be the defensive foot-hold for the Clover Kingdom, it is the town that sits in the grey area of what could be considered the noble region and the common region. It is due to this that there is a diverse range of people and backgrounds that called this place home. [break][break] A young fire mage found himself getting into trouble when he decided to steal some vegetables from a garden of jewellers. The mother of the family was the one that caught him and even told the boy and his mother that they just needed to ask due to them having more than enough. It was the beginning of a new bond between the family and the fire mage. [break][break] Over time the boy grew and where he was wanting to learn the next flashy fire move from the former purple orca. She would tell him that he needed to learn how to walk before he tried to run or those he cared about would get burned by those same flames that treasured so much. Of course, being young he didn't understand what she was getting at. [break][break] The woman's husband attempted to teach the street smart and somewhat rough male his craft. He, of course, got bored real quickly because crafting jewellery was a slow process that often was very detail orientated. Still, the man tried. On the day the fire mage was scheduled to leave Kikka for the exams the man called the young mage into his workshop. [break][break] He was just finishing up a double ring set and told him to put every wish and promise he could into a single flame and release it onto the ring. Somewhat sceptical the fire mage did what he was asked and thought it was for some sort of trinket for the woman that had helped him grow. The man placed the ring into a box and handed it to the budding mage. [break][break] "Valo, we see you as our son and we are proud to see the man you've grown into. You've helped create something that is unique and special, keep it with you and give it to someone that you believe deserves what you put into it." [break][break] The now young man gave bravado with his normal attitude but took the ring. He held onto it for three years until something terrible happened. The family that he had loved so much was taken from him. The one that had seen him at his most vulnerable and had helped him through the grief was a young woman. A woman who themselves couldn't fight due to their beliefs. [break][break] He remembered the ring from all those years ago and offered it to her, telling her if she was ever in danger just to call him and he'd come running.

A warm gift for Hinota Yuiee. After spending a few weeks away from the flower mage, Valo had crafted a beautiful bracelet as a gift for her. [attr="class","zavenreescroll"] As they continued, of course he noticed the canopy and natural light from the outside world gradually darkened…a glance back and he saw the overgrowth taking over their path as they moved forward. His senses told him it was not a “trap” in the offensive sense, but it was a way to trap the party in the domain of a daemon. He kept his senses as Jin spoke, explaining his reasoning for being there, he was not a substitute in a FORMAL sense…but he was there. Zaven remembered a passing glance at his papers when drunk one night, a vice he thought he had kicked but after coming to find out some of his familial secrets he delved back into the drink. Regardless however, he was at least coming to be at ease with having the civilian magician there, but it would take more time for him to be just comfortable with having him there. When Hraban left Hinota he saw the body language of the flowery mage of his squad, but he did not say anything. [break][break]
Seeing Hinota break away from Amaya and give her a scolding nearly made the Golden Dawn captain chuckle…he remembered the…various times he received a verbal lashing from the female as well for his actions. She pointed out the fallacy in treating this as a carefully planned mission instead of an action that was required to make the land safer. Hinota’s speech about reducing the possibility of collateral made Zaven wrinkle his nose…he did not care for this place…he would burn it down with his infernal flame if he could…She brought up Kikka as if to teach Amaya then and there about daemons and what they do, and still Zaven was quiet as he walked forward. Hraban hovered over the Shadow of Dawn’s head and looked out into the forrest. Finally she explained that the Witch Queen was an Archdaemon and did not deserve the dignified revelry of an actual Royal…This earned a smirk from the Blake as he regarded the Ravencrest as guarded nobles for the most part anyway. His smirk died though as he was the leader still, and he was not going to let this be a hand holding experience. Then as Hinota turned her attention to Sol he spoke up, directing his words to Amaya as Hinota spoke to Sol. ”Lady Ravencrest…I am not going to scold you as I can see this is a new experience for you, but this is not just some mission from your squad or a subjugation quest for a dungeons. Your family should know this, I know you are a rising star, but this place. These two we are following could be leading us to a large pit filled with spikes…yet we follow without much question because of the qualities and peculiar laws of the forest. Going forward, keep in mind that the reason for us being here…is to destroy the threat to the Clover Kingdom…I am not going to mince words, and nor should you…the daemons are very tricky. I know I am saying this aloud for the two up front can also hear me, but I do not harbor ill will towards the witches as a whole…however I have killed those for just sympathies with the enemy. I will erridicate the daemons from this land…that is a promise. Keep on your toes and scrutinize everything you see, keep your senses on alert and we will do fine.” He said witha soothing voice as he ended his small speech. [break][break]
Eventually as they would walk Hinota would make her way back to her captain and she would ask, not too loud nor too quiet why he referred to her by just her last name, which they have discussed in the past and have had problems with. Zaven could hear the hurt in her voice, but he did not sigh or speak with a tone that denoted he did not care, however she was not done speaking and continued on. The mention of the etra rice cakes had Hraban already diving for the bag to grab one as the Shadow of Dawn nodded and gave a small smile. ”Thank you for that. He has not been quiet about your cooking since he first tasted it.” He started in as she approached and then spoke to him in a whisper, to comment on his earlier admission of the curse issue. She stated that it was for him to learn empathy and he looked at her with a look that showed he was deep in thought for a moment. ”I…understand the curse, we have never really had the time to speak about it at length but…I have done my best to subdue it for…my own reasons, not because of the influ of whirlwind of emotions. Do not stop yourself and become cold like me…That is the opposite of what I would want Ms. Yuiee.” He whispered in return, it was confusing to speak out…but what he was trying to say he could not. To admit his confession of first sight desire, or to tell her his emotions being in flux whenever certain things arouse within HER life made him experience things…he was not a cruel man…not that was wrong to say, he was cruel…to himself and to his enemies, but there were people in his life both past and present that he would not wish to harm. So he pushed everyone away, it was the only way he knew how to keep everyone safe from his own actions. [break][break]
After a few moments later he spoke again, to answer her first question, though after his probably botched attempt at telling his own feelings and reasonngs…it may have either a bad impact or it could just be seen as gibberish. ”I speak that way because in the past I have been too formal with everyone…I am not prideful, but I am aware of the position I have to uphold. I do not wish for anyone to start rumors because of misspoken words. Just as I know that there are couples and those that are of higher social and royal status, I wish to keep the peace by speaking in an officail manner…if things push or shove…I will drop formality, but I am doing this…to ease a mental burden I have placed on myself…for a long time.” He said as he continued to walk in silence for a bit, his emotions and thoughts became clouded as Hraban floated lower and between the two Golden Dawn mages for a small time, crumbs were all over the spirit’s face. The smile he saw on Hinota’s face might have been genuine or fake, but he did not question it, but he felt a small throbbing across his scar on his chest. She spoke up on the women leading the group and he raised an eyebrow as he was sure he spoke quietly earlier that it would have barely registered as a whisper. ”I am not worried of saving my own skin, I have lost it before…however, I do not like to be shielded…I am both the sword and the shield for the kingdom as I have pointed out many times. I want to keep EVERYONE safe, not react to something that I DIDN’T see…” Speaking of the group being trapped though with Jin having spoken up Zaven listened to Amaya’s and Sol’s words as they were questioning if this route was the way to actually move. That was when Zaven stopped and spoke up to the party. ”If we are being led into a place where men are not normally permitted, we are either heading through the village proper, OR we are being lead to an even worse trial. Daemons LOVE to challenge the will of mortal beings, so on this note…we move forward and the path behind us disappears to the forest, but lets stand still for a moment. I will send a scout golem to go ahead the path to see what is lying in wait.” He said as he brought his grimoire up and summoned his shadow grand golem…Apollo. The shadowy figure of an ancient hero appeared before the Shadow of Dawn. He pointed down the path as the shadow shifted to face the direction as Zaven relayed a simple set of commands. ”Go forth along the trail and show us what is waiting for us. Go your maximum distance then return. That is all…” He said as the golem sped off down the path and Zaven looked around at his team of Royal Knights. ”Now we wait…Once we know what we can do we will move forward or attempt to go off the path. If the scout does not return…then we know there is something dangerous enough waiting ahead. When we move forward I wish for Lady Ravencrest to continue to be the tip of our spear…Shinryu you will back her up, Lady Yuiee will follow near Shinryu and our friend Jacob will follow behind to support her. I will follow up the rear and will use my golems to support us on the sides. I trust you all to protect each other…and I will protect you all. I am not leading from the back to save my own ass…if any of you oppose my plan…speak now or get ready as I have said.” He said as he waited for the golem to report back.
[break] Upon entering the forest everyone at one point or another noticed that the light was gone and that the entrance they had entered from was no longer there, but there was a well-travelled road they were standing on. The two witches that had given the invitation were not seen, it was as if they were nothing more than phantoms of this place, those with strong sensory should have been able to feel them but the mana would be so thick to them it would almost seem suffocating. There was nothing natural about this in the slightest. No one had yet noticed the eerie silence, surely in a forest, there should be the rustling of leaves and grass, birds singing or movements of forest creatures. The only noise they would have heard outside of the voices of the group was their own individual footstep making it that much more unnerving. [break][break] The group spoke amongst itself giving over what was deemed as important information or knowledge that might help the group in some people's cases. The one thing they could all agree on was that they were most likely being watched the issue was that they couldn't really be sure who it was, where they were or how many enemies. This, of course, made things difficult overall for the group. Zaven being the captain of this royal knight group took the lead in deciding who would be where in the formation and even sent one of his golems forward down the path. Due to the choking mana, no information was passed back, however, the shadow mage could tell that it hadn't been attacked. Once it had been ordered to return there would be two pieces of paper stuck on it and purple lipstick on what would be its cheek. [break][break] The first piece of paper would read 'Sorry, you just missed us.' while the other would plainly say 'Nice try but you're going the wrong way.' The handwriting of both was completely different from the other. It would still be unclear if it was the witches from before or some other unknown force, but the one thing that would be clear was that whoever the culprits were, they were playing mind games with the group. The issue was outside of the handwriting, the lipstick and two vague messages there was no real way to know who was at the heart of this mystery. [break][break]
[attr="class","header2"]GM Notes
[break][break] It is dark, there's no return behind you and there's no noise other than your voices. the only steps you hear are your own even with the others walking next to you. Those with high enough sensory can tell there's something off as they can't sense anything even with the use of magic, it just seems like white noise. The golem Zaven sent out wasn't harmed but due to the interference within the mana it didn't sense the movements of the enemy and so when it returned it had purple lipstick on one of its cheeks and two notes attached to it. It could be that the enemy is ahead and they're trying to send you on a wild goose chase or it could be that they are indeed telling the truth that you are heading the wrong way. The group have two issues now that have to be dealt with. The first is to figure out what is going on with the mana of the forest and the second is which way they are going because just standing in that spot with perceived eyes on them isn't going to do anything but put them in danger as they can't sense a thing. [break][break]
Amaya stopped inside the forest, taking note just like everyone of the fact their once known entrance was gone. She looked over her shoulder, slightly past the giant that was Sol's frame to her own. Her eyes confirmed what the citizen had said. It had seemed like they have fallen into a trap. Assuming something so small was something Amaya would have suspected to happen, after all this domain was ran by a daemon. It was only a wonder how vast her power over the forest was. However, she didn't stop to truly think of the situation or her choice of wordings in her assumption of getting the group to move forward along with the fact she wasn't keeping focus on anything that she should have other then her own thoughts. This cost her a gentle scolding of understanding from one of her two mentors. Hinota Yuiee. Amaya closed her eyes keeping her mind relaxed and focused on the woman's words. They weren't out of anger, they were meant for learning and understanding the mistake she made within her understanding of the situation. Amaya's train of thought had indeed been wrong and very one sided in the absolute wrong direction. She knew of some that survived Kikka. Sol was one who survived Kikka and the hall that reigned supreme in the darkness for two months. She been to Kikka with the Collaborative event of her squad and the purple orca. She seen their eyes. A lot or nearly all those who called Kikka home distrusted all those who wore a mantle around their shoulders beside the purple orca who was there. She heard the stories from various citizens and circles as well as hearing Sol's own experience within that mess. Hinota was indeed correct in her scolding and as much as Amaya personally disliked it. It had really helped her focus on her thought process and the words she was going to continue speaking from this point on. She then listened to Zaven address her as she was expecting a much firming if not a harsher scolding if anything. Boy was she surprised by the tone of it and the decent amount of patience in it. It wasn't a scolding as she expected. No it was an acknowledgement and a possible learning of what was to truly come from this all. He was right. This was her first experience of something more then just some mission given by her squad, nor was it some simple dungeon they were to complete. No this was much more deadlier then she could have ever prepared her. She listened to his every word allowing the instructions to soak within her mind to scrutinize everything. She was told to keep her senses up and on high alert. That she was going to do without fail this time.
[break] [break] She listened to Hinota address sol, stating how she was sure anything in this forest was going to be dangerous or assumed to be to them. She turned her face down to her own satchel with a small calm smile of her own acknowledgement of which flavors Hinota had put into her own rations as it wasn't too hard to guess her favorite flavors. She listened to Sol and Hinota point out a flaw of sorts from The mysterious citizen they both knew. One knew him as Jun as another knew him as Jacob. She found it odd to indeed have two different names, finding the suspicious until he gave the reasonable explanation. She had heard some from other lands have different names in attempt to make it easier to address as some names were not so common and sometimes one name in one kingdom sounded much different or mean something different in another. She then listened to him speak of how he came to join the group. She had found it interesting for a oddity like Him to make the connections and join them just like that. She wouldn't have been here if not for the recommendation and confidence of her captain in her abilities to assist with this mission so odd circumstances did happen and the both of them were among the oddest so far.
[break] [break] She felt Hinota let go of her sleeve as she opened her eyes watching her move backwards towards Zaven. She had not moved from her stop yet her mind registered an odd occurrence. Was she going deaf? She took two steps forwards in thought would focusing all her senses on the world around her, watching everyone's feet and interactions with the environment before it hit her. She immediately looked from side to side attempting to focus on anything and everything other then the group. There was nothing, No rustling of leaves, not birds chiming around them. No she couldn't hear anything other then their words and her own footsteps.
[break] [break] "What it."She whispered attempting to focus even more on her senses try to find any other sound feeling a think layer of mana around them. She couldn't push past anything it was literally like running into a brick wall. She allowed her train of thought to go to the suggestion from Jun of sending a golem ahead. The only golem user she knew personally was Sol, whoever Zaven had seemed to be on the same page as Jun as he activated one of his own, giving his declared instructions to it. She walked it dart off ahead of the group as she closed her eyes getting a confirmation of not hearing the golem move, even when she knew it did. She opened her eyes hearing Zaven's instructions as she turned to the path ahead of her, adjusting the sleeve and her sleeve as it seemed Both she and Hino were now paired up with one of the males with Zaven being support for both pairings if need be. She didn't like being infront, however she was going to follow whatever orders were necessary. She needed to trust in her team mates and their movements.
[break] [break] "Hey. It might just be me but I do believe It is much too quiet...I can't hear anything other then our talking and my own footsteps. The atmosphere here feels different to. I feel a weight of sorts, it is choking in a sense. Such dense mana." She spoke turning her head to the others before turning back to the road watching for the golem. It was Un nerving to the girl. She was trying her best to sense anything, anything at all to not prevail knowing her map spell, even being weak, would give no information.
[break] [break] It wouldn't be long before she saw the golem called back as she waited seeing it stop where it was told. It came back in one piece, undisturbed physically. That was a good thing, However it returned with two notes and a Purple colored kiss mark left on the golem's cheeck. She moved towards the Golem getting a good look at the two messages. She made a mental note and assement of the messages compared to the last order, taking note of the differences in the message's writing before fully turning towards Zaven. " If I may Zaven. Given the instruction you have given us compared to the messages on the paper. Would you still go through with having us continue down this path? Given the golem's return unharmed but with a nice colored mark and messages. I am going to request We go off the beaten path, given no matter what direction we go, I can't sense anything and sending out more golems would possibly lead to the same result and a waste of our reserves. Though I do not know who's lipstick is on the golem's cheeck as I do not know of if these are from the same childern or not as there is at least two from the differences in handwriting. Three if you consider the lipstick belonging to another entirely." She suggested from her observation before looking up in thought "I Say we choose any path other then the one given to us or back the possible way we came, as I do not believe we could return out of the forest. if that is alright."She inquired from the group and Zaven, wishing for their opinion.
[break] [break] She was hoping not to get another scolding other then just possibly not being able to hear any footsteps other then her own or hear anything other then their own conversation. [break] [break]

[attr="class","amascroll2"] TLDR: [break] Word Count: 4204 [break] Stat Points:4 [break] Spells: [break] Relic(s):
Aoiveae Isro is a one point Seven meter-long staff made of an unusual pale blue metal of unknown origin, with a unique ornate top making it seem almost spear-like, it is not until the owner channels mana through the staff that its true majestic form is seen. Inside of the staff, the bluish metal seems to become almost transparent and magical energy can be seen going up it, in fact, the energy is so condensed it's almost like electricity can be seen dancing up the length of the staff. From the top that was once seen as a spear tip, a circle engulfs it and from the sides, a set of wings are seen almost like an aurora.
The true origin and creator of Aoiveae Isro remains unknown, even its history to this day remains quite the mystery though it was discovered several hundred years ago. As it was found in the broken-down ruins of a temple within the Aristaeus’ Basin close to the border of the heart kingdom it is believed that it must have held some ritualistic importance. This relic was originally bought from the black market by a noble with the intention of placing it up for auction, this noble doesn't wish to be named due to the method they gained access to the relic and has every intention of giving the proceeds of the sale to the church anonymously.
[break]
Intermediate Lore:[break]
It is only through meditation and inner peace can the true power within be found. The energy feels different, it is almost like a completely different mana swirls within the weapon, it's weak but fluctuates mirroring the owner's own emotions and turmoil, there is no understanding as to what this could mean but it feels like a breakthrough is very close... although for now very much out of reach.
[break]
Senior Lore:[break]
Inner peace and acceptance has now began to settle in to both the owner of the staff and the staff itself. A mutual understanding has been reached and so the staff itself no longer become cumbersome to it's owner almost changing its size to be perfectly fitting. It is almost as if the staff is alive with its own soul as it clearly didn't want to allow itself to be used by someone it deemed unworthy of its power.

[break]
Dive Lore:[break]
With understanding and introspection the wielder can almost hear the voice within, the past memories of the one who held the staff at the very beginning of its creation. Its true potential finally reveled as the staff once belonging to a spirit user. The first memory seen was the pact that they would never part come what may as they both placed a small portion of their life's mana into the staff. An oath that has held strong even now centuries later.
Ability Appearance: two streaks of navy blue strands that give off a look of glitter. Her left eyes turns pure white with a glow and a wanning crescent moon in the middle of her forehead[break]
Dive Activation:Slowly she spin the staff next to her left side with her left hand while continuing the spin behind her back, to the right side, infront of her then above her head before pulling it down infront with both hands stopping the spinlooks like this.[break]
As this is an unusual relic it comes with an equally unusual ability but it comes with a bit of work to unlock. You are required to do a thread of 6,000 words where you come to not only understand the energies within the relic but unlock its hidden secret; that it is capable of a partial spirit dive, and will allow you to have up to three small aesthetic changes while in this form. (The training must be approved like a normal partial dive) You are unable to access this dive ability before the relic reaches senior, the dive will be active for three rounds and it will be five rounds before you would be able to enter it once more, at grand it will allow you to enter the partial dive for four rounds but you will not be able to enter it again for six rounds. You are able to go to the spirit system and choose three abilities you will be able to access while in the partial daemonic dive. As with spirit dive, there are drawbacks that you will receive when the dive is on cooldown. This includes -5 m/s physical speed, -5 mana regeneration, -5 Debuff in Power, Durability , Control, Sensory and you will only be able to access intermediate or below spells.
[break][break]
In addition to the above abilities, they will find that their spells will have a number of boons and weaknesses to them.
[break][break]
Boons:[break]
- Once every second round the mage may heal naturally one rank below their character rank free of charge, this increases to twice per round at grand.[break]
- Able to redirect incoming attacks if the owner's control is +10 than the opposing mage's power stat, lowering to only needing +5 at grand rank, this is only applied if your spell is of equal rank or higher than the opposed one. This can only occur once every three posts.
[break][break]
Weaknesses:[break]
- Unless within a dual specialized spell knock-back will automatically be attached to attack creation spells[break]
- Spells cost 20% additional mana from the natural base amount of mana

[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] Pushing the presence of the snarling wolves out of his mind Sol listened as he heard Jin laugh a bit at his question regarding his two names and when he gave his answer it made a lot more sense, while he was adopted into the Shinryu he was more at home with eastern cultures then western though he could handle both and his explaining that he tended to greet most folk with his eastern name depending on the situation but with those of western descent he used the other name since it was easier which made sense in the long run. Jin then explained his reasoning for being there which was that since valo had been put out of action and they needed another man for the battle ahead the citizen had offered his services.”its good we have you here we need as much strength as we can get for this mission Jun Im sure Valo would agree if he were here” he said. [break][break] After he finished speaking he heard Hinota giving Amaya a rather lengthy scolding questioning if she was really that naive and mentioned that even she as a pacifiest didnt believe that their wouldnt be collateral damage and bloodshed during this mission, Sol gave a nod at her words since he knew that this would be a ruthless challenge and while he enjoyed a challenge he didnt seek out violence and with a mission like this he wanted to make sure that they finished this as cleanly and ass efficently as possible if they could. Hinota went on to explain that examples of this could be to talk to the ones who protected kikka and those that had lived in two months of darkness, Sol knew that the scars of Kikka would take a long time to heal if they ever did heal and he had told Amaya of his struggles and the trauma that he had to deal with from that. It was the reason that he was insistant that the follow the instructions from the two witches since last time someone had disregarded them it had nearly sealed their fate. [break][break] As he watched the conversation between Hinota and her captain Sol sighed a bit as they had realized that they had fallen into a trap and it was that the enemy wanted them to only move on the path that was right before them something that no doubt would get them in immense danger, the Mantis was glad that jun mentioned in as well as Hinota and as Zaven suggested that they remain still for a moment while he sent out a golem to scout Sol resisted the urge to face palm again, while he could understand the captains desire to gain a bit more information the fact he sent out a genderless creation in such a surrounding wouldnt fly well and even with his poor mana sensing the decay mage could feel the pressure in the air from the dense mana around them and as Amaya commented on it he nodded.”yes its far too quiet only time a forest gets this way is when something frightning scares everything around them "he commented. As the golem came back the albino saw the kiss on its cheek and the two notes and he couldnt bite back a snort of amusement.”well its in one piece at least but I got the feeling this was to be expected” he said resisting the urge to smirk at Zaven. [break][break] As they sought to determine what path to go and Zaven brought up the formation he wanted them in Sol instantly wanted to argue not out of pettiness but because it put them at risk again since it was going against what as recommended, while the mage knew that daemons liked to play games it also stood to reason that if they didnt listen to what they were told especially right out of the gate they were in deep trouble. As the captain of the golden dawn asked if any of them opposed it which Sol then spoke up.”Im not completely opposed to it Sir but I do agree with Amaya and Hinota that going off the beaten path makes the more sense given what we are dealing with, I do have no issue with the formation as long as both the girls are still leading us since that keeps up with the instructions we were given” he said, he might catch some flack for this but he would rather not get into hot water right off the bat. Just above the midway point, there seems to be a piece of onyx that has been set around the sheath, the top and bottom of the onyx seems to have the same white marble though it has been fashioned to look almost like fur or feathers. Connected to the onyx there seems to be additional ruby fastenings with ruby chains connecting one part to the next, near the top there is a ruby set in gold that leads off to three carmine red tassels. The handguard seems to be made out of gold leading into the hilt a hilt that is just under half the size of the blade that covered in lackered red marble before being surrounded in black ribbon with gold helm and small ruby beads at each crossing pattern of the ribbon. [break][break] The corrupting shadow was made using an unknown method outside of a certain noble family within Clover. This family has been shunned by many other noble houses because of their appearances and they macabre magic that they are born with so choose to remain in the forsaken region instead of the noble. Not a lot is known about this secretive family, it's hierarchy or its family mechanics and they aim to keep it that way, it allows them to continue doing what they are without too many questions being asked. [attr="class","zavenreescroll"] The Royal Knight captain watched his golem run past them, he had a link with his own mana to feel for the golem. He could feel the mana density and knew that trying to keep his senses posed for an attack would just add another layer of shit to wade through in order to perform an action, but the way he saw it…someone needed to deal with it so that the world around them even with the stillness and quiet was still dangerous and needed to have eyes on it. Amaya was first to speak up about it and he nodded in agreement with her as he felt it too. ”You are correct, but someone will still need to keep up their senses…just in case, and no I am not asking you to do such a thing as you are in the position that you have to guide us through this swamp of mana. It is a fog of war…to disrupt our thoughts and make us second guess what we are doing.” He said aloud as his golem returned, though this time with some extras added on. He looked at the notes and then the lipstick smeared on the golem’s face before he passed the messages around, Amaya was the first to speak up. She questioned his order for how they moved rather than to take the other paths they have seen before now. The path less traveled of course was always an option but he listened as she suggested they take the path less traveled and he raised an eyebrow. He was not paranoid of this, but each time he has dealth with a daemon this has been recurring…take the path less traveled…do something out of the ordinary…side with a daemon…honestly he was tired of the charade. When Amaya brought up that the notes were seemingly written different so they could not be the same children he looked at her. She then brought up that the forest had a mana that was too dense and that she could not sense anything, which Sol then followed up with the same line of thought claiming that the only reason that everything went quiet was due to a predator. As well as his remark about the golem coming back, which earned him a glance from the Shadow of Dawn. [break][break]
He held up a hand before Sol could continue, even though Amaya finished with even stating they could even go back the way they came possibly. ”The notes came from two sources you say, and lipstick seemingly from another…we are not detectives, but we will continue this for a moment. These daemons like to show tendencies as with humans of multiple personalities…with some even working against one another. Whether from years of inbreeding, or cursed mana, or even a dastardly spell working against them. Could have been three, could have been one, could have been a number of hosts.” He started in as he knew Sol had more to say, but the remark from earlier from Sol saw to his need to continue. ”I sent a golem because there was no reason for us to continue looking for those twins if they disappeared and just left us with these wolves to watch and growl at us if we did not follow directions. Did I expect it to come back…honestly no, but that it did with two messages and a taunting “kiss” as if to goad us to either changing direction, going forward, or retreating…it is a trap. Plain as day, we are stuck in a mana zone as it is with the Witche’s Forest…it will be dense, and the ability to rely on the specialty of just senses alone is going to little besides to maybe find a trap 2 feet in front of us. However I do hear what you are saying Amaya, and Sol I believe you were going to say something more?” He asked as Sol would then say his last piece, which was again just a third one to advocate moving down a less taken path, before stating he had no issues with formation as long as the women were both leading. So he took a moment and fetched a piece of parchment paper used to cover one of the treats for Hraban before drawing out the formation Which was 2 blocks down…moving over as if to draw at a horizontal base for where hinota would be, but moved forward and then a box down under that one, with the finality of Zaven’s box being moving between the back and the left and behind Sol’s original position. ”This was the formation, still has both women taking the lead as the puppets that invited us in…with you and our new friend backing up lady Yuiee. This allows the little caveat that the forest wants to happen to go through, while allowing us to support them through whatever may. Now is there any further questions as to the formation?” He would look around before waiting for someone to speak, regardless of if they did or not he would continue for now and back up to answer should he need to. ”As for what path to take…I am ready to just blaze our own path at this point, but I doubt anyone would LIKE me to do so. If you wish to take the less beaten path, it feels as though regardless of if I say no or not there will be a split here if that was the case. Which im not ashamed of admitting, the way we all are seeing this is different. Yet we are here for a singular purpose. So with those wanting to go down the less traveled path and give it a try, let’s get a move on.” He would call back his shadow golem and wait for them to finally decide as he knew there was likely to be a schism with either his attitude or his eagerness to just press forward. [break][break]
He could feel a tug at his scar that urged him to move forward, there was something he wanted…Yet the mage did not say a word about it.

Jin Zhongli
Interesting, it was all very interesting to the white haired rogue. Now even his sensory couldn't do much for him. Jin looked around him and wondered of Ki would have worked in a situation like this. He wasn't a fan of being in this position, but he couldn't fuss about it. He simply had to think and act making the proper call. There was allot of discussion going on and Jin paid attention to most of it. Hinota and Zaven each had words with Amaya about her naive nature, it was a good thing they told her about now. Before it was to late and she was probably killed because of it.
The group now discussed the formation and which way should be the right way forward. Jin walked up to Zaven's golem and looked at the lipstick. Apart of him thought that they should head down the path that golem went, to engage with the enemy thats why they were here. But with this white noise jamming their sensory that could prove to be a mistake.
Jin had his own thoughts and opinions, but right now wasn't the time to be bickering about ideas and which way is the right way. His own opinion was that there was not right or wrong path to take as they had not been given a set course. No matter which way they decided to go it was going to lead to something, whether it was the enemy or something else. Because whatever was jamming the sensory right now at least they had no way of trying to sense anything. Right now they had no way of finding the correct answer, so there was no reason to waste time trying to find what couldn't be found.
Once everyone said their piece Jin cleared his throat. "So off the beaten path it is then." he said letting the two women go first as suggested.

[attr="class","tamaflowersscroll"] The doll-like mage had listened to everything silently. It still frustrated her that Zaven was acting so formal with her, it hadn't started out that way but somewhere along the way it had. Part of her believed it was after the events of Kikka, could it be that the ordeal had caused more damage than was originally thought on the man she called captain? She closed her eyes and silently sighed, she had most of her memories back but there were still a few cracks here and there but she was far better than she had been a few short months ago. She knew that her family didn't want her to be here but they wouldn't argue due to the request coming from the highest authority. Luli and Junjie on the other hand, she was pretty sure she was going to wake up in another kingdom the way they disagreed. [break][break] "You are both most welcome, I enjoy making spirit foods." she said softly as she slipped one of her slippers off and began to remove her sock before doing the same with the other foot. She looked to Sol and Amaya "No telling Junjie." she said placing her slippers and socks into her satchel before moving to be stepping on the grass. Zaven was correct this was a mana zone thanks to the density of the mana in the area, there was a good chance it was nature based and so that meant that her own element would be stronger now. "If this place is indeed a mana zone nature-based elements will likely be increased in strength like shadow was at your own home." She said moving to a nearby tree and placing a hand on its trunk. She had noticed the deathly silence but it was telling in its own way. [break][break] "Captain, I couldn't become cold if I tried apparently it is a flaw I have." her eyes closed "And will you stop calling me by my last name. I am a member of your squad and yet you are talking to me as if I am a stranger you are ready to buy a cake from." her voice was still calm and warm as she spoke but she was clearly hurt. "We are of the same social standing within Clover so there is no reason for it." her eyes opened and turned to look at him though her head didn't move. "You didn't even ask why I had gone missing, even if you don't care for me as a person as my captain I thought you would have asked." She shook her head. "For what it matters, I was summoned back to my home estate if you remember mid-way through training." she began. [break][break] "Well it turns out someone wished to betroth their son to me, and that ended terribly." she thought back to the day that Echo's father proposed the betrothal. "Well after it was finished I decided I would return to your estate, however, I didn't bring Luli or Junjie with me as I didn't want to bother them. Long story short, I entered the shadowlands and with sensory as poor as mine I quickly became lost and affected by the illusions. I came across mana beasts and fell from somewhere high and hurt my head so badly I gained amnesia." she informed him "I wandered around a bit looking for aid but all I came across were more mana beasts and illusions until I met a red-haired man. He saved me from that place but he fed me lies not knowing any different I accepted them." she looked down at her feet. [break][break] "I was always escorted but soon there was a family meeting where I watched as he massacred many of his own family and fled. I had no idea where I was going or who to request aid from, I ended up in a barn and a wonderful elderly couple took me in and treated me like a granddaughter. They got sick so I went to do some tasks to gain money for medicine and hoped something would trigger my memory. I ended up in a dungeon made of ice where I met up with Valo. Not wanting to send me home we went to a place I could recover at my own pace. It took months and where I'm not fully there yet in my recovery I have been cleared for duty." she said bringing him up to speed. "I wasn't going to your estate for training, it was to be a social visit." she informed him. [break][break] She sighed and brought her hand down from the tree "You can't take the entire burden on your own, any true warrior, healer or tactician will tell you it's not feasible. If you try to be both sword and shield then you are going to be weaker in both instead of concentrating on one and strengthening that capability. I am not a sword and never will be due to my magic and my own beliefs, just like you will never be a durable shield as you aren't built that way, you are a sword and a very fine one." she whispered, "Besides we all want everyone safe and that means us all walking out of here or none of us doing it." her tone showed conviction as she spoke. "So stop being so stubborn and let yourself be shielded if the time calls for it...." she moved her hand around the area. [break][break] "Trees don't stand by themselves, they're healthier and stronger when there are many of them, besides trees are sociable things just like our kind." she said with a smile. She had noticed the distinct lack of sound, it was likely meant to unnerve and make them think irrationally but she didn't comment on it, her hand went to the tree and she pulsed her mana through it. Her sensory was likely the weakest in the group but she could use the tree's connection to the rest of the forest to potentially amplify it. "It's not a perfect solution but pulse your mana every fifteen to twenty seconds, it'll act like a radar of sorts. It's not going to be anywhere near as accurate or detailed as a map but if something moves you'll know." she whispered so only they could hear. [break][break] Pulsing their mana would let them know of obstacles in the area, it wouldn't tell them what those obstacles may be or the size of them but if they move they aren't a tree or a building so they were a potential enemy. She had been too distracted by what she was doing and looking around the area to notice that a golem had been sent off and had returned. Hearing Amaya and Zaven's conversation she moved back onto the path and took a look at the notes. "Going by your logic at least one of them has a personality disorder and where I haven't faced off as many daemons as yourself Captain, I've yet to come across one with such an illness." she said carefully looking at the handwriting if it had been in her native language she may have had an easier time but it wasn't. [break][break] All she could tell was there were most likely written by two separate people. "I think two separate people but I can't say for certain, I'm not trained in such skills." This was one of the times she wished Luli was there because she likely could have told them, or perhaps one of Valo's wraiths could but neither was an option at current. "I'm not sure about the lipstick and going by the notes they've moved from being ahead." she said thoughtfully. "And your right, it's unneeded collateral, not to mention it's reckless and dangerous on several different levels. We need to do this carefully." she said looking around as she moved off the path an almost vacant look on her face. She took Amaya's sleeve bringing her onto the grass too but instead of moving deeper into the forest, she began walking the way they had entered from. [break][break] "If this is a trap it isn't a conventional one and so a conventional escape is likely impossible..." she began "So this means we need to find an unconventional exit to the trap." she said with a smile "I met a relative of Junjie and Luli when I was small, she said sometimes to go forward you need to go backwards." She continued walking the way they came on the grass, it was off the trail after all. "The exit vanished when we all entered so it became another open route for us and as we don't know the origin of the white mana noise for all we know the moment we entered we were turned around." she knew it was a long shot but it was as good as any other reason at current "And were I can kind of feel a little better using the trees here for aid it's no were as near as potent as a sensory mage." she really needed to work on that. She smiled at Jun as she passed him "I'm thankful we can meet again, I was worried when you vanished from the dungeon." her words were genuine towards him.

This ability heals for junior rank damage, this ability will also actively attempt to cleanse those being healed by it from any debuffs, poisons, hexes, curses, venoms as per the clashing rules.

When a connection is made an identical book is created in front of that person with the casters name so they know who is contacting them. As those communicating speak the pages start to fill in with blue flaming text as if being written, this is so facts can be looked over at a later point while the spell is active. As this is only junior currently only one person may be contacted at a time. If used for reinforcements the person being asked must wait 2 rounds after the initial contact has been made before they can enter, as this ability grows stronger it will allow for contacting people in other areas, if contacting people in other areas and requesting aid they must wait 4 rounds after the initial contact has been made before they can enter.

A warm gift for Hinota Yuiee. After spending a few weeks away from the flower mage, Valo had crafted a beautiful bracelet as a gift for her. To show her that he cares about her, and he plans to do better by her. He never wants to spend weeks away from her again. And as a symbol for his commitment, he got Warmth's Embrace made for her.[break][break]

[break] From a short distance away two figures were watching the group with curiosity, they had little to fear about being sensed due to preparations that had been made in advance. The entire forest was nothing but sensory white noise, this meant that the entire group had to rely completely on their natural senses over their magical ones. "It seems like they have problems." one of the figures said as if taking delight in the show. "I thought our family was dysfunctional but we should take notes." the other said with a light chuckle. "Brother would be shaking his head in disappointment." the first said "Well he's no fun and not here so we shouldn't let him ruin what we're doing." the second said smiling happily. It was clear to the pair that the group's dynamics were off, everyone had their own idea and no one could or would decide what to do. [break][break] On hearing Zaven's words on the notes and lipstick they both snickered "Does he really think we're one person?" the first asked the second "Apparently our kind has a few screws loose according to him." the other replied, "Well, most of us have as many screws loose as their kind, though, I do have to wonder about our eldest sister... she's a few pages short of a grimoire." the other said covering their mouth feeling the glare from where they were sitting. "Seems like they are following the rules, that's good at least. I'd hate if we broke them too soon." It was a game for the pair and they were going to take full advantage of it. They stopped when they felt a weak ping before looking at the group "What is she doing? We already know she has very weak sensory." the tone was confused. [break][break] "You two are idiots." a males voice was heard by the pair "She's being smart, she knows that sensory doesn't work so she's using her mana to ping the area almost like echolocation. It won't give any real meaningful information but if you move they'll know your location due to this tactic so I think you are both stuck for a while." he said his tone completely level. He knew he didn't need to be worried about being heard as it was through a communication spell. This made the pair grumble as they hadn't expected it, they thought the rumours of the doll-like mage were oversold and so had been careless. "I wouldn't suggest attempting to raze this forest to the ground to get to the end." One of them said the words coming from every direction "The forest will heal quickly and you'll all die." they continued. [break][break] "So, since it has been brought up as a potential thought do you have any particular place you'd like to have your ashes spread or would like to be buried?" the other asked with a malicious tone, like the first the voice came from every direction. "I'm feeling generous so I'll be helpful..." the voice said with a grin "You're getting warmer to the answer of this little riddle of a trap, but I have to wonder the white-haired girl... is it bring your ditz to work day or something?" they asked laughing "Then again, for a captain you aren't very bright Lord Blake, she's right we are two separate people and just for the records we are less likely to have screws loose than your feeble race." the tone said getting bitter at the end. "I'd start running, something bad is coming... don't you feel it?" the other would ask.
[attr="class","header2"]GM Notes
[break][break] First contact has been made and by the sound of the voices, they are female. These daemonesses are clearly not taking this group seriously and from what they have observed they have no real reason to and it's shown in their taunts. Their elder brother has made it very clear that they've screwed up by underestimating the group's tactician. They have given a clue that the group are getting warmer to a solution to a problem they are having, the issue the group is having they don't know what this solution could be to given how many they are currently several issues. They have warned against rushing through the forest and alluded that it would end badly for the group, giving a veiled threat asking what they want to be done with their bodies if they did attempt such a thing. The last thing they said was for the group to start running because something bad was coming, the moment they said that vibrations came from all directions and are getting more apparent as something draws closer. Are you going to stand and fight or run? How do you intend to progress now you are being hunted by who knows while you are close to a resolution to a trap? [break][break]
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Before he could address Amaya and the golem incident he finished his conversation with Hinota… [break][break]
Hinota sighed after he was finished with his initial conversation with her, of course he knew she was likely overthinking this whole thing, but at the same time…perhaps she was not, and he was not completely coming to terms. He watched as after she accepted his thanks she took off her slippers and her socks as she let her bare feet settle into the grass, telling Sol and Amaya to not tell one of her retainers to which Zaven just shook his head because it was kind of funny, but the Golden Dawn captain said nothing more about it. She then went into a thought, pointing out that the mana zone would likely give power to nature based elements, she moved to a tree and placed a hand on it…she did look beautiful there, but he quickly dismissed the thought as she spoke up once more. It was more of a partial scolding as she once again asked if he could not call her by her last name as if he was some commoner that was coming to her to buy goods. She further drove that verbal knife in by pointing out they were both in the same social standing and that there was no need for what he was doing. Zaven was about to say something, but Hinota continued as she pointed out that he did not ask about her going missing and even if they were not close as just people…as her captain he should have asked. What Hinota did not know is when he found out about her missing…he used his own familial contacts to scour Clover, but found nothing which was both a worry and an infuriating thing. Even if his feelings told him to do something about it…it was the start of his descent into seclusion into the Shadow Grand Mana Zone. She pointed out that she was ordered to return back to her familial home mid way through their training and he nodded before finally interjecting. ”I failed as a captain, because I did not leave the squad to search…though I did find out you were missing, I used resources that were more personal…A lot of good that did.” He said as she continued… [break][break]
The next small telling was of what happened as she informed him of her family’s wish to betroth her to someone…After it ended terribly she was set to return to the Shadowlands, but upon entrance she succumbed to the illusions and mana beasts before falling and injuring herself. She then informed him of who saved her and that she was lied to because she did not know better. This earned a clench of fists from Zaven as he held back an angry sigh. Finally she filled him in on the situation that led her back to Valo and then eventually to be placed back here in the frontlines and he nodded. He heard her say that the visit to his estate was to be social…not business and he finally sighed, but there was no use in continuing to dwell on this, but as she removed her hand from the tree she went on further about how he was acting, his stubborn tendencies, as well as to tell him that he should accept the help when it is needed. He finally spoke to her as he was approaching to see the golem approaching. ”I value your opinion…Hinota, but I am not being cold for issues related to our job…This is me…” He started in as he was passing…”I cannot continue to beat around the bush with this, but I carry the burden because I do not desire to see Clover ruled like it currently is any longer…I take the burden so when the time comes and my stubborn cold demeanor has run its course…I can do what must be done to ensue change. However, as I said at the estate…I accept the team and will work with everyone so that the sword and shield can be completed. As for your disappearance…I am still angry about my lack of ability to keep you safe, or my connections to find you. Our social standing and that we are in the same squad is not why I talk by using your last name…it is respect, I do not just go around giving my own mantle to people after all…When this is all over. I wish to discuss things with you…” He sees the golem approaching and it cuts their talk short once more… ”Yet we are interrupted once again…let us take a look.” He would say before moving past to do as he had done with the golem and the team. [break][break]
Hinota chimed in about the quip of the daemons with personality disorders, then went further about talking about the trap and how they should move next. Jun of course spoke up as he seemed to catch on quickly that they would need to go down a new path to move forward. Just as he was about to speak up however, they were all interrupted as the voice came from all around as if they were in some sort of clearing. They spoke about not razing the forest as it would just heal quickly and they would die. ”I thought that was what you wanted…” He would say in a calm tone as if to goad the speaker into showing themselves. The next voice sounded a bit more masculine as it wanted to keep up the rhetoric on if they wanted their ashes scattered or buried. Zaven smiled as apparently just talking about destroying the forest seemed to get under the skin of the daemons. ”Well preferably, when I die my soul just joins the aether, so for the meat suit, you can do away with it…not the first time I have died anyway.” He continued to poke, but only speaking in the same cold low tone as before. Meanwhile he snapped his fingers to get the attention of the squad as he then pointed at Amaya and Hinota as he motioned for them to put forth Hinota’s thought of going back the way they came…taking the less traveled path. Meanwhile the sensation of the earth shaking was starting to be felt…something was indeed approaching. When they decided to speak up, poking at Amaya Zaven did speak up for a moment as his mana flared up, as if to draw attention to himself. ”No, bring your ditz was last tuesday…that person was able to kill a horde of daemons without much of a challenge…today is the day I brought in a rookie to smack you around…because why would I bring someone that doesn’t need teaching to watch your heads roll?” Zaven said as he smiled and his azure eyes tinged with a slight purple tint for a moment as they were given…help, along with a poke towards Zaven’s ego which made the Shadow of Dawn keep that smile as he let out a chuckle, hopefully by this time the squad was moving down the path Hinota denoted moments before. ”oh you caught on to that did you, yeah…we mortals are a bit crazy, but the few daemons I have run into with some issues with identity…well they were easily dispatched…so there is that. Good to know there is two of you for now. Tell your other brother and sister that paid a visit to my estate that I am sad they did not stay for tea and cake…I will be seeing them soon I am sure.” He said as they told the squad to run. [break][break]
”Seems they are eager to meet us…let’s move at an even pace, in the formation I gave earlier…we will at least keep up with each other, and well…you all know as well as I do, whatever they are going to throw…will come regardless of how fast or slow we are. Keep your eyes peeled and let's keep moving.” He spoke in an almost cheerful tone, there was definitely some screws loose…after all the Royal Knights sent in to a somewhat willing suicide mission was peak insanity.
Amaya listened to Sol agree with her on the quietness even if she didn't think she properly worded what she was exactly feeling. She wasn't sensing anything as if put in a literal anti sensing suit of a barrier around herself. It was heavy and suffocating. It was so dense, she was sure if she had a knife of mana strong enough she could literally cut it like paper so to speak. She kept trying to push past the white noise to the best of her ability, feeling nothing other then what she already was. She looked towards Zaven listening to his explanation as she raised an eyebrow. Multiple personalities? Really? While she wouldn't have put it past the daemons to do something to troll them for shits and giggles. She was sure she was on the money for there being at least two from the writing. The mark on the golem could have been from one of the two, though she was no lipstick expert for anyone but her own shades if that. However was Zaven attempting to give any advice to her or allow the group to think she had no clue what should be said and when? It had seemed from the most interactions she might have hit a nerve or two on him and even hit a nerve with one of her two mentors. However it was one of her mentors that had somewhat steered a better avenue of conversation between her and Zaven. Even if her views on him was minimal at best.
[break] [break] Her attention turned towards Hinota as she watched her take her slippers off while taking her socks off. She nodded to Hinota's request to not tell one of her retainers of what she was about to do. Honestly Amaya would not wish to as lord knows Jianyu would had sorely advised her not to and probably lectured her ear off about needing to be more mindful of her decisions, even more then ever given her ever raising status with her family and squad.
[break] [break] She turned back towards the path watching it as she wasn't about to inquire in on the conversation between Hinota and Zaven. It was not her business and while she would have assumed such things should have been discussed outside the forest. She could only imagine how it must have been going through what she went through. She could imagine Hania turning over the entirety of clover if she had ever went missing. She knew there was likely no place she could hide or disappear to that he wouldn't find her whether of her own want or mishap of an unseen future, her unwanted acknowledgement of the archipelago and her adventure there was enough of an earful that she was never going to make that mistake again, even if She had her sights on somehow getting Hania to let go to heart kingdom for research on a subject she had a peak interest in. That was a losing battle but she wasn't going to give up on the want. She was however thankful for how protected she was and how restricted she was within the freedom of Clover as she was sure if she was allowed as much freedom as her former flame. She would have so many unknown friends within the underworld and enjoy gossip in some café in some other land in some universe somewhere.
[break] [break] She watched the path quietly letting them speak as she could tell there was all of tension and hurt between the both of them hurt on Hinota's side from Zaven's stubbornness and hidden feelings. She wasn't blind as most but as she believed that it was never her place to inquire in on anyone's choice of feelings and interactions, given her previous experiences and even her most acquired one. She watched Zaven set forth the plan of formation while watching Hinota moved from the tree over to her, grabbing her sleeve speaking of the direction they were to go. Seemed even the one named Jun was in agreement of following off the beaten path.
[break] [break] Amaya shaked her thought back to the present as she listened to Hinota's whisper of an instruction. Pulsing their mana like a sonar? That was something she wasn't expecting and while she knew her sensory was good, she wasn't sure if it would do much in a Mana zone that wasn't entirely in her favor, however it was going to be something she was goin to keep in mind moving forward as she followed taking the lead with Hinota once again, heading in the direction they had once entered from.
[break] [break] That was till she heard two voices , seeming to surround them coming from all directions as she listened to them closely. Seems they did not like Zaven's thoughts of tearing down their forest. That was something she could agree with as she knew there would be destruction, that was a given but the minimal amount Hino spoke of was the key amount. She didn't allow their taunts of what she would wish for her remains to be either buried or ashes spread who knows were. She never had much thought of what she would want to happen to her body as she was sure she would be buried in the respective family cemetery just as her parents and her father's side before her as she quietly pondered about her mother's side. She didn't dwell on the thought as now wasn't the time or place.
[break] [break] She train of thought derailed back to reality hearing them mention her as her grip tightened on the shaft of her staff hearing their words. First of all, who did they think they were calling her a ditz, how dare they. Secondly, This was something she acknowledged so mentioning such a thing was pointless in her book as she was sure a lot of those within the butterfly circle thought such of her as well as others. She knew her nature and understood at some point she would mature and finally put away her Barbie dolls and get tired of playing house. That day came when she closed the book half a year ago and took on the appearance she was now. Sure she filled her shoes for the most part, however there was still room to grow. Her magic has bloomed and glowed colorful to even a brighter shade of a hue she once disliked with a passion but has embraced as it was hers and she was its. She looked around letting out a light chuckle at their comment "I am sure they aren't coward less enough to speak of a taunt without saying it to my face." She spoke to herself in a soft taunt of her own. Loosening her grip on her staff, moving it down the shaft a bit. She lifted the end of the staff off the ground, ready to move along side of Hinota.
She listened to Zaven's retorts to them as she closed her eyes doing her best to keep her own comments to herself. She might be able to tear a noble apart on a territory not her own, but she was not able to try getting at daemons. She'd rather try getting under her own escort's skin then a daemon's a hundred time over. No that was a word war she wasn't going to take part in other then watch.
She looked towards its tip before turning her eyes towards Zaven hearing his comment while feeling the vibrations and hint of the daemons. God what was it? Pick on Amaya day or something cause she was sure all she needed was Sol and Jun to poke or scold her then she would won the lottery of the adventure. She opened her eyes allowing them to dart in every direction upon feeling the vibrations. She heard the Daemon's taunt of the need to run before hearing Zaven's instructions. "You don't have to tell me twice." She commented bending her knees ever so slightly before taking the lead along side Hinota. If there was one thing the girl loved it was not being stuck in one place, if running was what they needed to do then so be it
[break] [break] She steadied her mind and focused, keeping her body as relaxed as possible while keeping on guard for any subtle change of sense or direction. She calmed her train of thought allowing her mana's output to move to her feet and into the ground under her. While this forest could assist Hinota and sol due to their element. She was going to try helping however she could while leading. She kept her ears open and focused on the boys behind her for any and all information she can gather from any and all instructions. "Hopefully Hania's obstacle course training has helped." She mumbled to herself remembering the few times she had attempted his daily training routine. The forest couldn't be any worse then that course right? She hoped his course was worse. They needed to find a way out of this sensory trap hopefully before whatever was coming towards them caught up to them. It didn't help that they had no idea which direction the thing was coming from but now wasn't the time to debate. She allowed her legs to carry her beside Hinota, keeping with the formation Zaven gave them.

[attr="class","amascroll2"] TLDR: Listening and reflecting on the conversations. Heading in the same direction as indicated by Hinota while remaining in formation by Zaven [break] Word Count: 5769 [break] Spells: [break] Relic(s):
[break]
Grand Lore:[break]
~Get the relic to Grand to unlock~

[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] Sol was listening as well and as he suddenly saw Hinota remove her socks and slippers he heard her tell him and Amaya not to tell junjie and Sol could only chuckle a bit and run two fingers across his mouth before he spoke.”my lips are sealed Hinota as far as I'm concerned I didnt see anything” he said his tone slightly amused despite the situation they were in and as he watched her actions he blinked a bit when the support mage mentioned that if this was a mana zone then it was likely nature based so those elements would become much stronger here, Sol merely nodded his head in understanding since while he now had world tree magic instead of blood he was certain the enemy didnt know that yet if the two that had encountered them at Zavens estate passed any information along then his new magics would be a complete blindside for them, for the moment the albino wasnt going to open his mouth again and give anything away and as Hinota finished speaking Sol looked to his girlfriend Amaya and he subtly touched a finger to his lips to indicate that they needed to remain silent about his advantage to anyone who wasnt paying attention it would look like he touched his hand to his chin in deep thought. [break][break] As he listened to Hinota rip into her captain about his behavior and actions along with explaining her disappearance and amnesia Sol internally was glad she was alright but when she mentioned a red haired individual the man could only name a few off the top of his head and the only one that seemed that scummy was Echo but if that was really the case then the Mantis was angry he didnt end him when he had the chance, Sol resisted the urge to sigh at the leaders antics but he knew if he made any kind of noise towards them it would just cause more issues and that was the last thing they needed. Before they could move any further the daemons had started speaking again and the decay mage felt himself go on edge even more as they advised them not to raze the forest or it would just heal back up and they would be dead very quickly, Sol wanted to smack the captain upside the head for that comment but right now wasnt the time especially since their tormentors were still intent on messing with them. Zaven seemed to be the favorite verbal punching bag at current but then they tossed a jab at Amaya as well calling her a ditz and seeming to question her being here. [break][break] Sol caught the sight of the white haired girl clenching her hand on her staff and he would gently place a hand on her shoulder to give some support since while she was still learning she deserved to be a part of this mission, suddenly the ground beneath them rumbled as the daemons gave one final warning that something was approaching and it was best they they run lest they want to find out just what was going to surprise them, sure enough Zaven took command and told them to head out at an even pace and follow the formation which they all did as Sol moved to his spot as they moved deeper into the dark forest, they were moving quickly but the Mantis had a nasty feeling in his gut that whatever caused the rumbling was still going to be a thorn in their side it was just a matter of when, still he had his hand ready to cast any number of his spells and his eyes were peering and darting all over trying to keep an eye on anything around them since he couldnt rely on his abysmal sensory he had to trust in his eyes and ears. Jin Zhongli
-Flashback-
"You wish to do what?" Jukane asked out loud her tone had a slight hint of irritation but also curiosity in it. She was looking over papers and terms with her advisor's before looking at her son Jin. She was sitting at one end of the table, as Jin was standing on the other.
Jin was fiddling with the gift given to him by Aelia, the black beaded bracelet. "I wish to assist the Royal Knights on their mission to stop stop the Daemon threat in the Witches Forest." Jin said again to his mother, he knew it was going to be a hassle trying to convince her. But he didn't want to just leave again without saying a word. He thought this time it would be better to tell her before he left.
Jukane sighed. "You may leave us." She instructed her advisor's and without another word they all left and closed the door behind them. "Your curiosity has no limits." She stated interweaving her fingers.
"No no. Helping the knights-"
"Stop. You have always been this way. Always curious, always wanting adventure. Your like a cat. Ever since you could walk on your own. Jin you have only been home a few weeks after being gone for close to a year and you return adding a new member to this family. And you want another adventure already? This time with Daemons. Speak with me honestly, what are your true intentions?" Jukane asked him.
Jin smirked as his mother was able to read him like a book. "I want to know what makes them...different." Jin started and his mother raised an eyebrow. "These Daemons from what I've heard about them. They seem... interesting a lack for a better word. I am curious as to what makes them...them. I've heard they have no sense of compassion for the human race, but I'm not entirely sure I believe that and if they do. I want to know why. Is their magic different from our own? Is their mind different? Is it their biology? I seek that knowledge mother." "Hmmmmmm is that it? Knowledge. You want to know what makes them tick?"
"I also am curious if Aelia's magic could work on them. I owe her a gift." Jin said smirking looking at his bracelet.
Jukane looked a tiny but more interested before standing up. "You intend to bring her with you?" she asked not truly sold on the idea.
Jin shook his head no. "Nope. I do not intend to bring anyone with me. But I shouldn't be gone for long if everything goes well. Besides Hinota will be there I'll be fine, I hear her memories and her magic have nearly returned to full ability." Jin said
Jukane let out another little sigh. "Yes I've heard her recovery goes well, that is good to hear. I should have words with Luli and Junjie. I know your going to find a way to go even if I reject it. So be it. I trust you will return with this knowledge that you desire. After all knowledge is the most important weapon one can have. While the Daemon threat doesn't concern us directly it wouldn't hurt to know about a potential enemy down the line should it come down to it. You have my approval to go. I am sure this will make Aelia happy as well, adding new members to her family. She seems to rather enjoy that." Jukane said walking out the room.
"Just be safe Jin."
Jin smiled at his mother "I always am."
"When you return it will be two days in Lěnggōng."
-End Flashback-
Jin watched and heard as Hinota had explained her theory about pulsing mana through the trees. He had never heard of mana or sensory being used in such away, nor had he seen or heard anyone do it before. But the theory couldn't be way off, Jin's sensory was pretty good for his current standing. He walked over to a tree and placed his hand on it, letting his mana pulse through it and she was correct. It wasn't perfect but it was better than nothing at all.
Hearing Hinota's words Jin smiled a little bit. "I probably do owe you an apology for my disappearance. Once my task had been completed I was given direct orders to return. I wanted to see it through the end, but in all honesty it seemed endless." Jin replied as he continued to walk behind them and placed his free hand on trees.
Before Jin could continue words could be heard throughout the forest speaking to the entire group. This must have been the Daemon's perhaps the two that left the note and the lipstick on Zaven's golem. They spoke on Zaven's comments about razzing the forest to the ground. Quite peculiar Jin thought. But his overall interest in them didn't waiver. The more they said the more he would find out about them. It seemed the idea of getting rid of the forest didn't sit well with them, so that made Jin question on why? Was this forest their new home? Why did they want it protected? Is it not their intention to get rid of it as well?
Daemons throw around insults like humans do. Jin's thoughts made him smile to himself. There was two of them and they both sounded like female Daemons. But from their insults and the way they spoke, they sounded more like children. Were there children Daemon? Could Daemon's have children and if they did is the aging process similar to that of a human?
Jin didn't respond to their attempts at insults, he saw no reason to for right now. If they were going to be goaded into showing themselves Zaven's words would probably do the trick. But that wasn't all as the Daemon's gave warning to something else coming and suddenly vibrations could be felt all over. Zaven's instructions were to keep moving, Jin was tempted to stay and face whatever was coming. But he followed the instruction keeping the same formation and pace as they continued to move.
Jin himself was completely relaxed with the situation at hand, he was actually looking forward to the Daemon's showing themselves eventually so he could finally encounter one in person. Jin did place his hand on a large tree and pulsed is mana through it this time channeling it more towards the ground using the roots. He was trying to see if could find out who or what was causing the vibration around them. A theory he quickly formed in his mind, and wanted to see if it could work.
