This thread is for those who are not participating in the Magic Knight Exams but wish to spectate them. You may socialize as much as you like here. There is no posting order. Captains actually will post some narration bits in here for your enjoyment and immersion. Just a few rules below.
-No fighting. If you fight, a Captain or Vice Captain will intervene.
-There is no posting order, but don't just spam post back to back please.
-This does not count towards your total thread count.
-The spectating will take place in the seating of the Arena and you may walk around if you'd like.
Fell had wandered into the city of Kikka, intent on checking out the exams and seeing people who were in a position he himself had once been in. Donning his usual black jacket, black pants and his Crimson Lion cloak he wandered into the arena and took a seat in the spectating area of the arena. Fell couldn't wait to watch all the people walk in and begin their test, he loved to learn about magic and everything he could possibly gain any sort of knowledge about. It was a reason he left his home and became a knight, well that and revenge. There was no telling what these people could teach the boy, many were likely stronger than even he was at this point.
Watching on Fell saw as many people entered, some looked rather frail and weak, holding themselves up only out of pure desperation of wanting to fulfill a dream that was almost impossible. But in that same crowd of people there were many that walked in looking like they were on top of the world and could do anything, like they were guaranteed a spot. But picking out those that didn't look egotistical, but still had an air of power around them, those were the ones that interested Fell the most. He saw some of those types wander in that looked strong, stronger than he was by far, and the boy was intrigued and couldn't wait to see.
Any onlookers of Fell would just see a boy whose eyes glimmered of excitement and fascination, wanting to see everything the participants could show him and teach him. It was almost like he was watching a dream before his eyes.
To be honest, she didn't care who were the few lucky people who'd come into Golden Dawn as long as she got along with them. That meant anyone who pissed her off was on her shitlist.
With her gold cape and platinum hair flowing behind her, she'd enter the arena and find herself sitting next to an anonymous man. The seats were filled so, she didn't have too much of a choice. Fortunately, no one was currently sitting in front of them in the row below, so that meant she could see the scenery perfectly.
Lucky.
As she sat down to the anonymous man, she was eager to place bets. Not too high, not too low. She was a royal woman after all She'd look at him almost trying to figure out his place in the Magic Knights, "Oh? A Crimson Lion?" she'd ask. He was handsome but she was trying to figure out his place and worth in this system.
She may've not been top dog in her squad but she was top dog in the socioeconomic food chain here. A gold tier grimoire. One of the few things she wasn't insecure or unconfident about.
And Chishio could be very critical, and very stingy.
The woman observed through the glass of the candidates. No one she knew, but then again, she wasn't a socialite. She wished she could be satisfied, but it wasn't enough for her. The woman looked around at the other Magic Knight Exam watchers.
She wondered what came to his mind. The man next to her seemed thrilled, but she was unsure of what truly was in his consciousness.
She was not going to make the first move to start a conversation. The elf would decide that was for him to do so, she could see if he was friendly or not. Or even that matter, worthy of sitting next to her.
Fell watched as many people filled in the stands behind him, what was once an empty stadium when he had entered, became extremely full. It took awhile for anyone to sit next to the boy, he would never be able to guess why so many people seemed to avoid him but at the same time he wasn't really bothered by it, he was used to approaching people himself after all.
Fell watched as a girl sat down next to him, she was cute, it was mostly the hair though. Nonetheless Fell didn't pay the girl much mind, but he had also seen her look at him. It wasn't his fault he was so interested in the exam and everything it had to offer in teaching him. But in the end Fell also knew connections meant a lot in this world, and considering she sat next to him he might as well make conversation. They would be stuck here for hours after all.
“It's crazy watching the mana of the people who come in here, seeing their power and playing a game in your mind on who will pass and who wouldn't.” Fell had been mindlessly looking at the magic power of everyone entering, the scariest were the ones that he couldn't sense. But some had no intentions of hiding anything, or no ability too. And of course with Fells heightened senses for checking power it became a hobby of his. “I can't wait to see the sparring though, I hope there are some good battles in the mix. It would be nice to see the strongest fight each other.” Fell paused for a second taking in all the people around him and in the arena. Turning to the girl he held out his hand to shake “My names Fell.”
Fell wasn't sure if the girl would actually shake his hand, many of the knights never cared for pleasantries but Fell tried to be nice to people. It was after all what his mother told him to do, not to let his revenge plan on one people ruin his entire social life. Fell enjoyed conversing with all kinds of people though, he was also just easily intimidated.

Yuurei sat down waiting for things to begin. While he did that he would hear the other captains speak out loud and give out speeches. He would only smile at them because he didn’t think there was a need for more. Of course, it was his opinion, and he relaxed as he wondered who would come to the Silver Eagles. He had a few of them in mind, on who he would go for, but he wouldn’t be too sure until the end of this exam. His eyes did move onto the appearance of one person in the spectator room they were in. The Familiar shape brought Yuurei to smirk a bit as he moved up to see if this was exactly who he thought it was. When his eyes approached her face he could see that it was indeed Rosalia that was here with them.
The wind mage could see the smile on her face as he looked into her eyes for a bit before she would turn to look at someone else. The dress she wore was a little revealing, and it definitely wasn’t something he knew the old Rosalia would do. Oh how things change with time. He thought to himself as he noticed something.
His heart was excited, but it wasn’t as it did before. Yuurei wanted attention, and his smirk had turned into a smile for a bit before he wiped it away with a calm intake of air. Rosalia was still an attractive woman to him, but his feelings had gone cold within the three years he didn’t see her. It wasn’t because of her, but the others that came after. It chipped away at his heart as time continued to move forward.
“I see you’re doing well Rose, the dress suits you if I say so myself. It shows off your beauty and how its still as radiant as it ever was.” He said complimenting her.
As for any other captain that spoke after, Yuurei honestly didn't pay attention to them as he figured it was the same thing. His mind were on the examines and killing time, which he figured he would do with Rosalia.

[attr="class","florencetext"] Lydia would quick make her way down to where the normal magic knights were suppose to sit well those who followed formality anyway. She was beyond annoyed so once she actually got the place she would pull out a cigarette lighting it. The glass mage wasn't mad at anyone one of the mages in the captain and vice captain stand she left before that was able to happen. As she was smoking she would look around for other crimson lions after all that's what she told the captain she was going there to do. She spotted a new more than she thought would actually show up. However only one caught her eye he was one of the newer lions in she remembered correctly and while she didn't know her personally she did know his name. After all as vice captain it was her job to know everyone in the squad. [break][break] A small smile would start to appear on her face as she got a somewhat evil idea of course she didn't plan on hurting him or anything she just wanted to see how the younger mage would react to her test. After she finished her cigarette she would start making her way over to Fell and the golden dawn mage who she'd ignore for the moment. After all she didn't head over there to talk with the girl. Lydia would stop right in front of the crimson lion mage he more than likely already knew who she was giving him a small smile she would lean down so she was face to face with him with her face being just a few inches from his. 'Well if it isn't little Fell. Shouldn't you be watching the magic knight exams instead of flirting? Lydia of course knew he wasn't actually flirting.

"Are you talking to yourself, or at me?" she'd ask Fell slightly confused with the psychotic behavior.
"Oh, my name is Chishio Tanaka. Nice to meet you, I guess." she'd say to him. She'd take his hand for a quick shake and let go, no awkward physical movement from her. Chishio decided he was a bit airheaded and over-enthusiastic for something he really didn't have to attend. She was just here to kill some boredom.
Then before Chishio could say any other pleasantries and greetings, they'd soon be interrupted by Lydia Ravencrest. Chishio had just arrived in the Magic Knight squad for Golden Dawn. She was most certainly irrelevant at the time but someday didn't attend to be that way. Chishio would see her bend over and eye Fell, before saying something which Chishio found outright distasteful.
Chishio would frown for a moment, but only for a moment.
She was equally as good looking like the man next to her- pale skin, pink hair, a somewhat busty and fit figure, and was elite. Wasn't Lydia a native? she didn't know her backstory, but she was aware of her ranking, name, and physical appearance. She was prideful and saw no reason to acknowledge her except that the concept of her and Fell flirting with one another.
And yes, Fell was cute but he showed no extreme attraction to her so she put the thought the other way. And instead of stating her name, she wouldn't. Or well, for the time being, she wouldn't.
Chishio would bust out laughing in amusement, "You are messy aren't you?" she'd laugh at Lydia's remark more so, then Lydia's sudden intrusion onto the beginning of the conversation. Well, screw that, she was laughing straight up about Lydia. So informal and so unprofessional of a vice-captain who had a great career.
But there was no foul harm in having a bit of fun. It just happened to come out so unexpectedly for her. But she was trying to make things awkward and get Fell's attention, for what reason, the dark elf was unsure of
Fell watched as what he assumed was going to be a cat fight, was about to ensue. He first wondered why his vice-captain had decided to walk up to him of all the lions, but I guess they had never met so maybe she felt like it was time to introduce herself to the boy for the first time. Not that Fell was all the interesting to really be introduced to. Of course Fell knew all about Lydia by now, his vice-captain who was said to be extremely fast. He wanted to see her in action sometime, knowing just how strong the girl was. She was an attractive lady, but Fell also knew her to be a few years older than him, so he looked at her more like just what she was, his boss.
The comment though didn't phase Fell so much as it may have if he actually understood what flirting even meant. Him and Lydia had never really talked so maybe she didn't understand the boy, but a sheltered kid like Fell? Yeah no, he had no clue what flirting even really meant or was. “Flirting what's that…?” Fell said looking up expectantly at the captain then back at the girl who had introduced herself as Chishio, then back at his captain. The two were now probably going to have some issues, the two were proud girls it seemed but Fell just wanted to be let in on what was even being mentioned in the first place.
Fell did understand that flirting had something to do with liking someone, more than a friend. But he didn't know that introducing himself to someone was flirting. His mom had always taught him to be nice and introduce himself, but now his captain adorning the same red crimson lion attire as he was now claiming otherwise. Needless to say Fell was mostly just confused.
Fell did wonder why Chishio had said she guessed at the end of her introduction, but he ignored it. Turning back to Chishio he spoke again. “Sorry If I was rude or something, I wasn't trying to make it seem like anything, I was just taught to introduce myself nicely I don't know. Do you guys like, know each other, or are you just avidly trying to upset her, I hear she can be something else.” Fell said, nodding to lydia. While the boys mother had taught him lessons on being nice she had also failed to teach him when to shut his mouth sometimes.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Zaven grew tired of the waiting game that was the Magic Knights Exam and as Lydia left the grandstand...Zaven soon excused himself as well stating that he needed to get some air and preferred to watch with the rest of the people that came to the event. With a sigh he walked down the stairs and out with the spectators, running a hand through his hair just as he caught the sight of what was going on. The examinees this year were very eager to show off as Zaven found Lydia.
“Well it stands as it was earlier...it is a pleasure to meet you, I do owe you that drink sometime miss Ravencrest. Why do you want to be down here with the rest of the people instead of with the captains and vice captains?”. He would ask before looking at the others, people whom he never had a chance to meet in his life before. The Shadow of Dawn gave a polite wave to the people and then saw that there was even a spectator sporting the Golden Dawn Mantle. “Well I don’t think we’ve had much time to talk personally either...” He said to the other Golden Dawn member before putting his hands into his pockets. Finally noticing the other participant in this small gathering near Lydia, the two seemed to at least know each other.
“What do you all see when you look upon the people here?” Zaven asked with a small curiosity...he wanted to know the mental disposition of the people he now not only found himself around, but also as allies for the same country. “Do you see meat shields for the king...allies in the shadows...or hopeful recruits that do not yet know what we do? Perhaps some of these people are wicked, or some of them just and wise beyond their years. It’s purely philosophical but humor me.” He said not as a question but more of a statement led command...he knew he did not have much jurisdiction in other squads but Lydia knew him and the others should know of him.
The shadow of Dawn waited.

"Boo!" Gaius yelled from the spectator seats, uncertain whom he was booing, but certain that he should. Kallos had told the elves that they should come and observe 'the enemy', but so to not intrinsically support them by being part of an adoring crowd and thus bolstering their egos with the masses, they must also use this opportunity to deal psychological damage upon their future foes with constant jeering from the stands and encourage such behavior from the rest of the crowd. Perhaps it was from the distance from the ground Gaius was at at the moment, but this sort of aggressive behavior fit the elf's mood. "Your beard looks dumb, Black Boloney! And red hair is so last year, Vice Captain of the Crimson Dumbies!"
Were the insults good or creative? No, of course not. Did they calm his existential dread of being so far from the ground? No, not that either. They lacked any sort of constructive purpose, and yet Gaius yelled them anyway. His purpose, however, was being fulfilled as he was being quite loud and disruptive for the other spectators, not so much so that they might remove him, but more in line with how an unruly drunk might act should they have such encouragement from their equally unruly friends.
Gaius was certainly the most stable of his lot, his crew, and therefore decided to be a distraction for the rest. Such a task suited him well as a strong stone-like pillar that held the plan aloft so others might fulfil their purpose. Until Kallos arrived to join Gaius for some good ol’ fashion commentary roasting their would-be foes, the earth mage would draw attention so his partner might steal numerous coins of this and that from the crowd and therefore send a message, this being: if you can be standing in the midst of so many magic knight prospects and still be stolen from, how can you trust them? Indeed, this was all a ploy to further distrust in the magic knights! Did Kallos tell Gaius this plan? No, not a word! But did Gaius know this plan was something Kallos came up with, of course! Being such an inspiring leader, Kallos must have seeded such a plan into Gaius’s subconscious and thus knew without words that this was indeed the plan. Oh, that sly rogue!
[attr="class","florencetext"] Once Lydia heard Fell's repose asking about what flirting was the crimson lion vice captain couldn't help but let out a small laugh. She was going to answer his question however the golden dawn mage choice then to speak calling Lydia messy. The pink haired mage would glance over at the women before looking back down at her own clothing before looking over the golden dawn mages choice of clothing. Well princess I don't know if you've looked in the mirror lately but the only messy looking one here is you. I mean like really you dress as if you work in a brothel. Even if you you would be considered one of the better looking whore's. Lydia was going to go back to answer Fell's question however the captain of golden dawn would show up speaking to her and it's wasn't like she could just ignore him. "It's nice to see you again as well Zaven and like I said I'll gladly get a drink with you after the exams are over." Lydia would then move a title ways away from Fell after all it wouldn't be to fun to tease someone who didn't know what flirting was. [break][break] "Well Fell flirting is when you have an interest in someone and complement them in a way you wouldn't for someone else. For example saying someone looks more beautiful than the night sky would be seen as flirting. However I was just teasing you." As Zaven asked his next question Lydia would smile at it. "I think I'll allow the others to answer first.

Titaniya was debating whether or not she should come watch the exam or not, one one hand she was not a fan of meeting many new people at once, hard to get a good opinion on them if you are distracted by how many there are, on the other hand showing up would probably help put her squad in better standing as it looks good to have members showing up to participate in the ‘fun’ would make the squad look less lazy.
So in the end she chose to come, taking up her black attire, her mantle set over her normal black cloak and blending into its shape. She wears large stomping boots with a similar black to the rest of her outfit but silvery details, and over her head she sets on a large disk hat that shadows over her face quite well.
Titaniya came walking into the stands where the rest of the spectators were, her hands behind her back as she steps loudly through the stands closer to the several mages she saw chatting in front of her, to the other side she could see the arena and all the would be magic knights within getting ready to show off their powers.
Aya chose first to step on over to the chatting group, moving to stand a bit near the group leaning over slightly as if passively looming over the others, listening in to their conversation, wanting to get a good understanding of what it was they were discussing before she spoke in on the matter.
On the other hand she noticed a booing civilian, or at least she figured it was one as the man possessed no mantle on him and his pathetic jeers did not sound like they came from someone who had any wish to be a knight. How peculiar and pathetic.
[attr="class","zavenreescroll"] Seeing that nobody answered his question the Golden Dawn captain watched the action inside the exam area. The final contestants had shown up and the team ups and solo examinations were announced for the day as spectators filled the stands. He noticed another Black Bull as well as a drunk idiot that seemed to just take his time heckling the captains. Since he was a little ways down from the current seating Zaven picked up a random pebble and with an oh so accurate toss he aimed for the mouth of the man. If it did not hit him square in the face...then a follow up pebble would be tossed at his throat as he called out to the idiot [break][break]
”alright you fuckijng idiot time to calm down...I don’t give a shit who you are, but if you keep it up we can step outside the arena and I can teach you a lesson in keeping that mouth shut…”. He would begin before turning to the current party he had his company apparently. Lydia agreed to the drinks after the exams closed and that made the Golden Dawn Captain. The others didn’t speak about their thoughts on the examinees so he moved on from that topic and as he took a seat he yawned. ”well it seems that they will let just about anyone into this event anymore...back when I took the exam...only knights, family, and upper nobles came to the event, but all of these new faces...it feels like something is missing, perhaps more action...or even someone getting a grudge and vowing vengeance in a usual pop offs among those trying out.” Zaven seemed a bit bored with it all, but yet he still remained there so he could find some strong new blood for the squad.

Needing to leave the house; but not necessarily wanting to, Scarlet found her invitation to spectate the exams on her bed a week prior the event. Her parents, particularly her mother had stressed the appreciable logic of going rather than sitting at home lurking in the shadows of her room. A routine debate they went through when they were either too tired of being under the same roof, or, Scarlet; being unexceptionally lacking of better plans, was more or less forced to attend such functions by a lapse of defensive wit at an inopportune moment on her part. Resulting ineffably in her watching someone she recognised, from her modest and unnoticed position, precisely aiming and putting into motion small pebbles he probably kept in his pocket just for this occasion, hoping to demonstrate his peculiar ability to calculate both a sensible and modest adjustment of trajectory and a velocity that was disciplinary rather than overly lethal. Scarlet stifled a grin at the garish behaviour as she allowed her vision to scan over the crowd. A few people of reputable houses scattered liberally with a commoner or two present to balance out the cocktail party cavaliers, Scarlet almost wished to be hidden behind a mask of make-up to not identity with the nobility who were otherwise being nobles. The entertainment had almost tarried before the examinees arrived, most of them seemed confident despite the intimidating presence of the crowd roaring encouragement, like a bucket the exam area gathered the stray and errant drops of conversation. It was not long before the examination area was full and every word became incomprehensible, Scarlet’s ears poked past her raven black hair and were descriptively elven but could not pin point any one person she wished to listen to. Though, relatively speaking, there were a few individuals that seemed to distinguish themselves from the crowd, Scarlet was probably not one of them as she was more or less only wearing her Black Bull regalia for the pretence of not wearing something less comfortable or unflattering. Her main concern was avoiding the gaze of her cousin who she had only really met a handful of times.
"Ok, I called you messy because you act like you got a stick in your ass. Not because of how you or I are dressed. Stick to the topic." she'd snap and instead stop laughing. She coughed trying to calm down from her brothel remarks. Totally untrue. Just because she was thick and showed skin didn't mean she was poor girl selling her body for money.
When women always insulted others there was a good chance they were
a. jealous
b. toxic
c. mean
d. or she could've wanted Fell to fuck her. Especially the way she was posed right now. She was more clothed, but she was literally eyeing Fell and not social distancing. She was straight up dangling her face in front of hers, "Do you want him or something? Maybe you should stop looking like you want to kiss him." She'd stereotype her choices just as much as she just did to her.
It could've been so much worse. Yet, another girl hating on another girl simply because of outfits. Yeah, she showed skin. Yeah she didn't care. But why did this woman care? She was still in Golden Dawn and a distant coworker. this woman acted like she's never seen a woman before who had tits.
"I don't know if I have such a random personality like yours. You literally barged into our conversation and immediately think I'm flirting with him based on how I dress. I always dress like this. It's nothing new. I always will look like a 'whore' because that's what I enjoy looking like. I think you are just as ignorant as the clothes I chose to wear today. You spit out random shit and trying to get into an argument. Your ass needs some soap to clean your mouth with. Clearly, your mother didn't beat your simple ass as a child."
"You are probably a two faced individual who doesn't deserve all the recognition you have. Sure you are strong, but you are no decent symbol as a Magic Knight. Going around telling people you've never met whores without knowing anything about their sex life, highly unprofessional than my clothes. Sickening."
Even though Lydia was giving some sort of smile to Chishio's captain she knew simply calling her 'messy' had bothered her. It bothered her enough for her to start going on about being a prostitute or something.
She already knew she'd snap some shit again at her. But to Chishio, she had done nothing wrong. Some people were staring and that didn't bother her. Golden Dawn captain would probably defend her. She didn't care, it was a shitty and unfortunate way to meet but oh well.
"Good afternoon," she'd say changing her tone to neutral and get philosophical, "Well, I think it could be all the things you mentioned. Everyone has a goal different from the other. We all have our purpose to be here. Why are you here? That's a question everyone should ask themselves in their career. What made you want to be a Knight, Captain? To protect clover because of nationalist behavior or perhaps, Because its a different answer for everyone. We all have our own motives and our own goals, even though we all have the same career goal- to protect Clover as Knights."
