A fire. Of all the missions that they could have been given, they gave them..a fire. Well. This was potentially going to be either the easiest, or the most difficult mission. They had been broken up into groups, and led to different areas. And of course, Xiulan was the smallest person in her group, as well as the only woman. Of course, normally she wasn't one to really take on the role of leadership, but she looked back and forth between her two partners as her grimoire hovered up into her hand.
"Well, the slow and methodical approach has been thrown out the window. Who else here has water as part of their magic?" She asked. Should anyone else raise their hand, she would nod. "Alright. Well, one of us needs to stay out here and keep the fire contained. I'm not exactly the most adept at massively widespread coverage like that, so Im going to go inside the house and try to douse what I can while trying to find people. Whoever isn't going to be covering keeping the fire contained should probably do the same."
She said, in a rather..odd tone. Whereas in most situations that would make sense to be a very commanding tone, it just..wasn't. Xiulan's tone was more in line with presenting a suggestion than a hardline order. Truthfully, she wasn't in the best attire to be walking into a fire. The majority of her back was exposed, along with her shoulders and chest. But if she were to try and douse the fire from outside, it was more than likely that she would be unable to keep it from spreading. She did have a handful of wide area spells, but they were meant to heal. Sure, they used water. But they also were only small pools on the floor.
Ultimately, it meant that she was only really suited to be putting out things that were the sources of the fire. Sure, it meant some things might get punched through and doused. But it was something that she could handle. With that in mind, she made her way in through the safest opening she could find. And almost immediately, she was confronted with the brunt of her bad decision. The air was filled with ash, and she had to squint to see. This area was filled with nothing but smoke. Still, she crept her way through, hoping to find a person, or a source of the fire. Her eyes felt like she had just dipped them in glass, and were watering up every few seconds. It was rough to breathe. But she was still able to move through.
"Hello? Is anyone here?" She called out, unable to really see where she was going. But it didn't matter. They had been given a job to do, and she was going to do it. There were a lot of things that needed to be done to keep their homes safe. And there weren't enough people to do it. That was why the three of them were here, doing this exam. There were more people needed. So Xiulan kept pressing forward, hoping that they would be able to fix everything quickly, before the fire was able to spread.

As a first mission to become a Magic Knight they sent Ashen's and 2 two other individuals to a house on fire. Out of everything Ashens thought about for a first mission a house fire wasn’t even in his mind and now seeing it his facial expression is uncanny. “You gotta be kidding me…” Ashens says with hesitance but watching this burning house with his eyes and mouth wide open he knew his team had to get to the goal of putting the fire out. Ruffling his hair a bit to get him out of his trance he looks back at his teammates for any ideas on what to do. Suddenly the young girl quickly went into action and took the leadership role, calling out people if they had water magic or any magic that can put out the fire and asking one of them to stay out to contain the fire. Looking at hers and the other teammate’s grimoire he could tell that he doesn’t the right magic to put it out. Trying to think quickly on his feet Ashens looks at the house’s structure and sees that the fire is breaking the building apart and rubble starts coming apart. Getting instant idea of his magic he exclaimed.
“I’ll go with you! I can’t stop the fire from the outside but I can try holding the place together so it doesn’t collapse over whoever’s inside.”
Moments after saying the idea his young teammate dashed towards the building. Not knowing if she acknowledged what he said Ashens looks back on his other teammate and tells him “I’m going after her, you do what she said and make sure the fire does spread.” Taking in a deep breath he grabs his grimoire and quill in hands, and chases after her into the burning house. As soon as he ran closer to the fire he can feel the heat on his skin and the air getting thicker with smoke then realizing that this is no game nor an act, this was real. Seeing her go into the house and calling out if anyone’s in there, Ashens runs to the door then paints his Ancient Ruin Curse on the frames and taps it twice. Hoping his idea works after tapping it twice the spell activates as ink chains burst out and start wrapping itself all over the door frame adding some extra reinforcement so it doesn’t collapse. He continues this while going into the burning house as he puts it on two more pillars that hold the house up. Unaware of his teammate’s name or where she is in the fire he calls out to her.
“Hey teammate, *cough* I’m putting reinforcements on the pillars and doors so this place doesn’t *cough* fall apart as fast but I don’t know long it’ll last.”
Trying to call to her some of the smoke got caught in his mouth but he managed to give a pretty decent of noise for her to hear. As Ashens traverse through the house carefully to reinforce what he can while trying to find everyone in the house, he hopes that they’ll make it out.

So far things were going fantastic from Akaza in the exams. His first round performance was considered rather impressive to the higher ranks. However, that round was just to show off some of his abilities to the captains so they could get to gauge the type of knights the contestants could turn out to be. It was also so they could determine who they would like to get to join their squad to possibly fills some gaps. Going into the second round things will be switched up quite a bit as the contestants would have to work together as a group to overcome a common goal. It was almost like team training but this was going to be real. The task was to save a small family from a house fire while attempting to stop the flames from spreading. If one thought the first round was nerve wracking then second round was sure to truly test the basics of a magic knight.
The temperature would continue to rise as the blaze of the building slowly went up in smoke and flames. Akaza along with the two other standing outside had no immediate plan as to stopping the fire. It would seem as they were going to just wing the situation and hope for the best and then the young lady spoke up. Well, the slow and methodical approach has been thrown out the window. Who else here has water as part of their magic? Akaza didn't reply at the time but took note of the question as he planned to use it to access the situation. She then would go on to say that she would go inside to find the people and that someone needed to stay outside to contain the spread. It was a splendid idea and yet another note Akaza would adhere to. Akaza loved when someone took charge besides himself, more specifically when a lady would do it. I’ll go with you! I can’t stop the fire from the outside but I can try holding the place together so it doesn’t collapse over whoever’s inside. It was almost as if Akaza wasn't needed that the two could do it on their own. Without even the slightest warning she darted heroically into the fire.
I’m going after her, you do what she said and make sure the fire does spread. The young man would say to Akaza before taking off behind the young lady. There was no point in trying to stop either one as they didn't have much time before the other houses had their part in the action. Despite everything that was going on at once Akaza had to keep his cool as he would respond with a simple but smart statement. Sure, I'll make sure the fire DOESN'T spread. He added extra emphasis on the doesn't mocking the boy who previously spoke before him. It wasn't like the guy had heard him anyways as he had already taken off before the words could come from Akaza's mouth. This would leave Akaza stuck with an easy but possibly most boring task of them all; containing the fire.
Stuck outside by himself Akaza would monitor the surroundings and survey the landscape. First was the checkings of all the visible escape routes that could be possibly taken from the inside. Information of such could come in relatively handy in a critical situation if need be. Then he would estimate the distance between the building of flames and its neighbors all around. Hmm, so about twenty-five meters separating the houses on each side. The grass has only just begun to start burning. Luckily for us, we have a slow burn here. It's not out of the realms of possibility for me to at least try and slow this. Akaza thoughts had him confident in devising a plan. He knew the job could be done if only that he planned it correctly. Before any of it could come to fruition he had first one more thing to do and was to find a way to create an exit plan. Hmm, yep I think I know what I have to do now. Having figured all the plans out, Akaza was ready to take in on the action.

'CAUSE THERE'S MORE TO THIS BRAVE ADVENTURE THAN YOU'D EVER BELIEVE
Well, at least she wasn't the only one stubborn enough to run into a fire without protection. However, the second person of her team who spoke up and volunteered to come with her had just as important of a contribution: Holding the building together. "Alright, great! That'll buy us some more time!" She called out in response to the voice she had heard. Apparently another teammate had indeed followed her in, and was using his magic to keep binds on the pillars and doorways of the building. That widespread coverage would keep the building standing longer than it would otherwise. That was good.
"But we can't find people as quickly as we normally could if we stuck together! Split up, and take anyone you can find outside! I'll be able to heal them, as long as we're out! I'm going to keep looking for people, as well as sources!" She called back out, occasionally letting out a hacking cough from the smoke. But she hadn't closed her eyes. Her vision was swimming with tears which were creating tracks down her more and more soot stained face. But she wouldn't let it beat her. She wouldn't close her eyes unless she absolutely had to. As she moved through rooms, she found a source of the very thick smoke on the ground floor. The living room. Every piece of furniture in the room had caught, and as the fabric burned away and exposed the insides to fire, more and more intense types of smoke were being belched out.
A quick glance around the room thankfully showed that it was only five items, and from the way her heels had been clicking, it seemed that the ground floor was stone. Perfect. She held a hand out in front of her, and her metallic grimoire slipped free of the harness on her waist. It was black leather, shaped to mirror the lacy trim of her current dress. So the heat coming off of the metallic coverings of her grimoire hadn't burned her. But still, as she focused her mana, the book opened. The pages flipped exactly seven times before the trails of magic on her covers formed their symbols, and the text on the page began to glow. And while the scent of smoke filled their noses, a hint of a different scent could be just barely picked up. Saltwater.
An orb of it was forming quickly. And then a second. Then three. Then four. And finally a fifth one. After that, the orbs churned and turned into whirlpools. The spell was ready. "Ocean Magic: Hydra's Breath!" She called out as she swiped her hand to the side, a veritable beam of water forming from each orb, being launched directly at the various flaming pieces of furniture. The flames they were putting out were strong. But there was a lot of water being aimed at each of them, as well as quite a bit of pressure.
Some of the sturdier pieces of furniture were able to withstand the gouts of water. But the ones that had already burned too much shattered against the torrent of water. Either way, the pieces were put out. The embers luckily hadn't been able to spread to the curtains of a window, which Xiulan rapidly flung open as she made her way through the room. She called out once again. "Is anyone here? It's ok! I'm here to get you out of here!" She called out loudly. After a moment of silence, she was able to hear a faint response.
"H-Help! Mommy and Daddy..I-I can't find them!" It was faint, but it was definitely on this floor. She followed the panicked sounds of a child sobbing..and a dog barking? Oh no. They had known about the three civilians, but an animal was going to be a lot harder to deal with. Luckily, as Xiulan sprinted from corner to corner, she eventually found what she was looking for. A little girl, curled up in a corner with a puppy clutched in her arms. She was smart. They were low to the ground, and in a less smoke filled area of the home.
And of course, Xiulan's approach got the puppy to stop squirming..as much. It was a minor effect when it noticed her, and probably would have been pronounced enough for it to calm down completely if she were of the Dog Branch. "It's ok. I've got you." She said as she knelt down next to the child and her dog, helping the girl stand up. "M-Mommy and daddy..t..they're upstairs still..!" The girl said, sobbing heavily, leaving Xiulan to smile softly and put a hand on top of the girl's head.
"It's ok. We'll make sure that they make it out. You know where the living room is, right?" she asked, earning a nod from the little girl. "That's how we're going to get you out of here. Come on." She said as she started making her way back through the rooms..only to nearly run face first into one of her partners who had dashed into the hall from one of the side rooms, heading in just the right direction. It looked almost like he was going to switch out with their other partner. "Hey!" She called out, stopping the young man in his tracks. "Get these two out of here, her parents are both upstairs. I'm going to try and find the both of them!"
She said as she lightly pushed the young girl forward, causing her to take a few stumbling steps forward, still clutching the oh so small puppy in her arms. Once the pair headed off together, Xiulan spun on her heel and kept moving, grimoire in hand as she searched for a stairway...

Hearing out the call of his teammate saying "Alright, great! That'll buy us some more time!" Ashens was relieved for a moment knowing that she was fairly okay. As he took his quill and called out to his grimoire “Ink magic: Ancient Ruin Curse.” Then began the process of drawing on the none burned parts of the pillars so the building wouldn’t fall apart but as he was starting to draw the ruins he heard his teammate calling out to him again. Trying to make out what he heard from her, he heard that they should split up, find anyone else and she was going to look for the source. Repeating that in his mind Ashens tried to go through the burning doors trying to cover his mouth with his shirt put over his mouth being held by his other hand and try calling out “Hello!? Anyone there!?”
As he was still finishing up his binding on the first floor he couldn’t find anyone on his end and looking towards the stairs. Not quite as burned as he thought he decided to place the binding spell on the bottom part of the steps thinking that the rest of the trapped victims were upstairs. While about the stairs part of the wall chard wall crumbled next to him and in late reaction, Ashens dashes to the side and lands on the floor.
“Damn it… *cough* *cough* *cough* Damn it all.”
Ashens says profusely coughing as he was getting up off the ground. As soon as he got up he realized that he was too quick to judge the condition and ended up inhaling a mouth full of smoke. Realizing this Ashens quickly took his quill and wrote the binding spell on the wall so it wouldn’t fall again and tries to dash out of the house. Suddenly while in the hall his partner called him out, looking back his teammate holding a child with a dog.
"Get these two out of here, her parents are both upstairs. I'm going to try and find the both of them!" his teammate told him right after handing them over as she spun around making her way upstairs which he tried to hold together.
Without a second thought, Ashens took the child with the dog into his arms and ran down the hall out the door and towards the gathering of people with his other teammate that’s been trying to contain the fire. Coming out with soot on his face and arms Ashens rushes out towards the gathering and puts down the child as people started to put a blanket over her. As soon as they got to her Ashens put his hands and knees on the ground and profusely coughed while trying to take in deep breaths. Looking at his teammate he says
“*cough* My arms and legs are killing me from the fire! *cough* *cough*I don’t think I can go back in I took in too much of the smoke.”
While talking to him some of the villagers start rushing towards Ashens and give him some water and a cloth to wash his face. Still panting from the smoke he inhaled Ashens takes the towel dumps it into the water and starts cleaning & cooling his face and arms with it. The sensation of the cold water hitting his skin was unbelievably satisfying. Upon taking the wet cloth he can hear the child he came out with call out “Mommy! Daddy!” realizing that the mission isn’t over yet and one of their teammates is still inside the burning building. Looks back at the fire and hoping that the brave teammate that went upstairs is okay he takes in another few deep breaths then gets up on his feet. Putting his had on his teammate’s shoulder Ashens says to him “You should go in and help her out, I don’t know how long my spells will last in the fire. She’s going to the second floor to find the parents and it’s really dangerous, the wall almost crumbled over me. I’ll take it from here and once I regain my strength I’ll reinforce the walls and windows from the outside.”

Everything was all set and calculated out. A plan was devised and now was the time to take action. Akaza knew what he had to do but pulling it off just right was going to be the tricky part. He knew that he has to suppress or drench the fire in the grassy areas from reaching either neighbor. More casualties would most definitely not look good when being graded for. At the rate of the burnings, this had to be done quickly with little room for mistakes. In a dash, Akaza sprinted to the front of the home centering himself perfectly with it. His grimoire floating in from of him began to glow a bright blue hue. The pages started turning on their own until it had gotten to the perfect spell for the job. Akaza reach his hands out to his side horizontally with his head tilted back just slightly. Water Creation: Waaa. Before the final words of his before the young male mage had coming running out with a with young girl and her pup.
Akaza spell was canceled due to it being interrupted by his teammates successful rescue. This caused Akaza attention to vere off just for a moment to access the situation in case he was needed. *cough* My arms and legs are killing me from the fire! *cough* *cough*I don’t think I can go back in I took in too much of the smoke. The young man spoke to Akaza with hardly the energy to breathe. Some fellow townspeople would then come about offering their helping hand. This was actually not that bad considering that it would allow Akaza to focus on his duty which was putting out the fire. It could however be a double edge sword well by putting more people in harm's way. The young man spoke once more. You should go in and help her out, I don’t know how long my spells will last in the fire. She’s going to the second floor to find the parents and it’s really dangerous, the wall almost crumbled over me. I’ll take it from here and once I regain my strength I’ll reinforce the walls and windows from the outside. Akaza could only nod his head in agreement and do as the boy says.
Before he would go inside, Akaza had to first manage the issue happening just before him. He stood tall and with a commanding voice he began to give orders. Everyone get back. Please get back. Give them some room and allow them breathe. He didn't mean to come off harsh but it's possible that someone could have take it that way. The water and towels are nice but what they need right now is space. Please move toward the street as I need you all out of the way of any possibility of harm. There is no need for any causality or fatalities. He said while giving a pushing signal trying to direct them backward towards safety. Everyone present moved back without and pushback or chaos. This provided him with the ample space needed to finish the job.
Akaza then turn back to the house and continued his spell. Once more his grimoire opened and started flicking through it's pages. Again he widened out his arms, tilted his head back, and closed his eyes. Water Creation: Rainy Day V.2. It was as if he had become possessed but the perfect spell was casted. The skies had darkened just a little and an overwhelming cloud began hovering the complex. Akaza snapped out of his tanced phase just in time to look back at his teammate to make a comment. Watch this. A torrent of rain had come splashing down as hard as any one storm could covering a forty meter area with the house dead center of it. It quickly started to subdued the fire set to the grassy areas preventing the spread. It also seemed as if the fire on the building has slowed due to the dampness of the wood reduced its ability to hold a fire. So far there was nothing but positivity coming from this mission as Akaza would continue the rainfall as long as it would take to save this family.
Stay here and protect from the outside. Akaza would say to his teammate as he came back to his own while heading into the residence. Upon entering the building it was nearly pitch black. Smoke had filled every corner of the front entrance room. How could she stand being in here for such a long time? The smoke was already becoming unbearable to Akaza and he had just walked in. Before further action he would call out to grasp the attention of anyone still inside. Hey!! *cough cough* Hey! Is anyone inside near me? If you can hear me then follow the sound of my voice.

'CAUSE THERE'S MORE TO THIS BRAVE ADVENTURE THAN YOU'D EVER BELIEVE
Everything was burning. Her lungs, her eyes. Her skin. But Xiulan wouldn't stop. No..couldn't stop. She knew that she was only hurting herself at this point, she wasn't an idiot. But she was too stubborn to give up. She had told the little girl that she would make sure that her parents were safe. So even as she dove deeper and deeper into the smoke, Xiulan would merely grit her teeth and keep moving. Her vision was swimming with tears that kept overflowing, tracing tracks down her soot covered face. She kept taking twists and turns trying to find the staircase leading up. Much of this floor was filled with incredibly thick smoke. And even in this hellish scenario, Xiulan was able to put two and two together. The burning furniture had been an unfortunate coincidence. With this much smoke spewing onto the ground floor, it was more than likely that the actual source of the fire was on one of the higher floors. It was so thick..and she wasn't a sensory mage. Could she really break through this dense smoke and find the other people in the house? For a split second, her stubborn determination began to waver. And then she heard it. Tap. Tap tap. Tap tap tap tap tap. Rain. And as she kept moving, the pounding of rain only became stronger. That meant one thing: she wasn't the only one who could put this out. There was someone else on her team who could save the last person. Good. Eventually, Xiulan found the source of all the smoke spewing down into this floor. The stairway. It was belching black smoke. But that wasn't enough to fully obscure it. Xiulan could see that a few beams had fallen down, catching the top of the staircase as well as themselves. For most, that would be a very difficult challenge. But Xiulan merely released her Grimoire as she let out several hacking coughs, allowing it to float in front of her and open. As it did, a sea foam green aura came off of it as it flipped pages twice, the text glowing once again as she held a hand out in front of her, aimed towards the fallen beams.
"O-Ocean Magic: C-Charybdis!" She called out through her own coughing. At first, it merely seemed like she was going to try and douse the beams, as a thick pool of water formed below them..until it began bubbling and roiling..before letting out a large geyser of water, shattering the now damp, put out beams into splinters, as well as dousing the stairs. Between this and the torrent outside, the smoke was starting to clear. But it was still fairly thick. The source was definitely coming somewhere on the third floor. But Xiulan didn't have time for that. She sprinted up the stairs, calling out until she heard someone call out back to her. "Maggy? Maggy where are you sweetie? It's ok, Daddy's here!" Alright. That meant this was the father..but he seemed to be too panicked to have heard her. Instead, she followed his voice, eventually coming across someone who was flinging open every door he could find in a long hallway. The smoke here was fairly thick, and only got thicker going down. The stairway into the third floor. That was where the fire had started. "Sir, it's ok! Your daughter is outside!"
She called out after letting out another few coughs. That seemed to get his attention, as he whirled around, squinting at Xiulan. "W-Who are you?! Where's Maggy? Ingrid told me that I had to find her, that she would get out somehow!" He yelled, obviously panicked. "If Maggy is the name of your daughter, then she's fine! One of my comrades took her and her dog outside. She was on the first floor! I know that you're worried about both her and your wife, but I promise, we'll get them out. You just have to come with me!" She called out, covering her mouth and nose with her hand afterwards. It seemed to sink in, as the man merely nodded. So instead of speaking, Xiulan just gestured widely for him to follow. And as they got back towards some of the less smoke covered rooms, it seemed that they had come down at a rather fortuitous time. She heard the voice of someone else. As they got closer, Xiulan spoke up again.
"It's alright! The only one left is the mother! It looks like the stairway leading up to the third floor was the source of the fire! I've got the father, so you go get her!" She managed to call out as they entered the living room, and slipped out through that window. Not the optimal plan. But when the father saw his daughter, Xiulan hadn't been able to stop him. At first, being hit with that torrential downpour stung. And more importantly, she could feel the flow of mana through her body slow almost to a trickle. But still, she made her way over to the father and daughter. "Alright..your wife should be out here any minute now..but we've all suffered a fair few scrapes and burns. That's no problem though..I can fix that, if you two just stand still." She said, causing the father and daughter to nod after they finally broke from their happy, tearful embrace. Xiulan also nodded, holding a hand out as her grimoire once again floated up to her chest level, having left its little holster on her hip once more. This time, the pages flipped nine total times.
"Ocean Magic: Haven of Salacia." As she said those words, the water that had gathered on the ground became a deeper and deeper pool of water, coming up to the ankles of both the father and daughter..as well as Xiulan herself. Slowly but surely, these pools of water began to spin, creating a whirlpool beneath each of them. It was a slow method of healing, for certain. But it meant that it could be sustained until the mother arrived...and it gave Xiulan a chance to finally catch the breath that she had been lacking all this time.

Seeing his teammate shouting at people to get back and then takes out his grimoire “Water Creation: Rainy Day V.2.” His teammate calls out to his grimoire. As Ashens looked at his teammate casting his spell a drop of water fell from the sky and dropped upon Ashen’s face. He looks up and sees the sky covered by dark clouds and then looking back at his teammate “Watch this.” his teammate says to him with a smirk on his face as a downpour of rain fell everywhere like an unexpected storm raging in, soaking everything it touches. Looking at the rain cloud that he summoned and the amount of force it brought upon Ashens was fairly impressed underestimating his ally’s strength. Then looking towards the building the fire starts slowing down from spreading, knowing that good sign Ashens smiles but it still wasn’t over yet since the fire was still going.
“Stay here and protect from the outside.” Ashen’s teammate tells him as he heads into the residence.
Seeing his teammate run into the building he felt thankful that he had a strong ally that has water magic but also a bit mad at the fact that Ashens couldn’t do anything besides bind. “I gotta get stronger if I’m competing against that powerful magic.” Ashens says as he takes the wet cloth he held in his hand and slams it into the bucket filled with water. Suddenly a body bumps into Ashen and when he looks next to him, it’s the little girl he saved. “Please save mommy and daddy. PLEASE!”
Seeing this crying girl’s face with her puppy in her arms Ashens gets down on one knee, puts his hand on her head, and replies “Don’t worry I believe in my team, we’ll get them out.”
After saying that he gets up with a deep breath and starts heading towards the outside of the building. Ashens took his grimoire to call his spell again “Ink Magic: Ancient Ruin Curse” and starts drawing and binding it across the walls and outer window frames. Looking at the wood Ashens could tell that the fire crumbled the majority of the supports that kept the building from falling over its side and started to replace it with his binding spell. Hopefully, this will last longer than his markings from the inside, he knows the duration for this an hour but due to the fire he’s unaware of the binds are still there or burnt away. Running around to each part of the building that needs support he could hear his teammate shouting and calling from the inside if anyone was there which made him more confident that his teammate was okay for the most part but unsure about his female teammate that’s been in there the longest.
He wonders how long she’s been in there and how long could she hold her breath within the smoke until she suffers more than expected.
While thinking about that he hears a window fall and shatter, making his way around he could see his female teammate with the father making their way out of the window. As soon as they made their way out the father saw his daughter and rushed towards her as they embraced each other but his teammate, on the other hand, looked exhausted with burned marks and soot on her but happy about the reunion. Seeing them finally emerge from the flames Ashens felt satisfied, also concerned about their injuries but as he saw them embracing each other he saw his teammate take out her grimoire and say "Ocean Magic: Haven of Salacia." As the water started to pool around them and spin into a slow-moving whirlpool he can see their injuries slowly but surely healing. After taking that moment of relief Ashens looked back at the building to check on his binding. They were good from what he could see until he noticed that the 2nd floor looked like it was about to tilt over. So concentrated on the ground support he totally forgot how the rest of the building will be affected.
Making a quick fix of his mistake he takes 4 pieces of paper from his satchel and draws his binding spell on it. Finishing them up his grimoire flipped through until he stopped it and as his quill started pouring ink he drew a small summoning circle. “Ink Creation Magic: Raven's Blood Summoning!” After saying that the summoning circle becomes consumed with ink as a small flock of ravens flies out of it. Running a fair distance away from the building he throws the pieces of paper with the binding spell on it into the air and he draws a path for the ravens to catch them. Getting to a distance where he could see the whole building he draws the path for the ravens that caught the pieces of paper and commands them to fly into the 2nd story walls of the building. As they do the pieces of paper that have the binding spells on them activate and the walls on the 2nd floor become bound together while straightening up.
Exhausted from the amount of mana he used, Ashens drops to his knees and breathes heavily knowing that if he didn’t bind the 2nd floor it was going to fall over. While looking ways across from him he could see his teammate still healing.
“That was a close one, the building could’ve fallen over but I think it’s stable enough that once the flames are gone it would still be held in place… I just hope he gets out of there in time.” Ashens says to her as he lets out a sigh of relief.

Hey! Is anyone inside near me? If you can hear me then follow the sound of my voice. Akaza would call out of those of whom were left inside the home. It took about a minute before he could slightly hear the sound of a soft vocal of a female. The sound of burning wood cracking underneath the flames were nearly drowning it out; you'd be surprised at how loud that could be. It's alright! The only one left is the mother! It looks like the stairway leading up to the third floor was the source of the fire! I've got the father, so you go get her! That was all Akaza heard before the sound of stumbling and breaking glass.
Now that a bit of information is known it was Akaza's task to save the mother of the family. Hardly able to see, he managed to find his way to the first set of stairs. He found it quite surprising that they weren't already set a blaze. Each stair screeched of agony seemingly ready to cave in. Be as it may he made it to the second floor. Ok, at least the smoke isn't as thick up here than it is below. He thought to himself. Suddenly a hard shift of the building occured that nearly cause Akaza to stumble over losing his footing. Was that what I think it was? Akaza had begin to get the suspicion that the build was about to give out while still inside. Not really the type to show panic and considering everyone else was on the outside and couldn't see he panicked. At the top of his lungs he began screaming. WHERE ARE YOU!!! SAY SOMETHING!!! As he was tumbling across burnt debris moving with haste. A stroke of luck must have it because he ran smack into the stairs scuffing his foot across the both step. Hurry, hurry, hurry...please say something or I'm saving my own hind.
Suddenly everything had came to a halt. The building was no longer slanting into one direction but now in the opposite. The feel was much different as things were becoming stabilized giving the place a more natural feel. He didn't really know why this has happened but it allowed Akaza to calm himself just enough to manage hearing the voice of a frightened woman. I'm here!! Please help I'm stuck in the bathroom. Like a mad man he dashed up the stairs with no regard of his own life. Finally as he reached the top there was a few things he'd notice immediately. Things were visible as the thickness of the smoke were worse downstairs. It was drastically hotter however being that the flames were still present in this area. Water Creation: Water Shark Bomb. A spell he'd cast to vanquish most of the flames. Luckily for Akaza in this case he may have bought himself some time of the building crumbling. There were few options in the area in which could be the bathroom so Akaza would yell. Hey!! Which room is the bathroom?!?!? It would seems as if the lady had passed out as this time a response wasn't given. Oh my, am I too late?BANG!!! A loud thud followed by the sound of something hitting the floor.
Truthfully it would have been anything at the moment. Instead of throwing it off Akaza jolted to the sound of the noise. This sound would lead him to a door. Attempting to be careful of the fact that the room on the other side could still be in flames he would feel along it to gauge its heat. Lady are you there? The only response he got was a cough. *Cough Cough.* The lady didn't have much time left. Like an idiot Akaza reached for the door handle attempting to open it. Ouch!!! The scalding handle burned his palm. Okay lady, I'm going to get you out of there just try and remove yourself from behind the door. Akaza was quick with an idea this and brought forth his grimoire. Water Creation: Water Gun. Curling his finger in with his index point and the thumb to the ceiling. He aimed directly and the lock near the handle shooting it in hopes that it had enough firepower to at least weaken the latch. After he would take a few steps backward to gather some momentum rushing the door and kicked in the general area of the lock. It was a success as he made it through breaking the seal near the handle.
Once on the other side he notice a petite lady not much larger than a child. She was nearly unconscious laying across the bathroom floor. Keep breathing lady, I know it's hard but I'll get you to some help. Akaza said to try and calm her as he scooped her from the floor but not before ripping off a piece of his clothing to tie around her face for a mask. As quickly and safely as he could he'd carried the woman down each flight of stairs. At this point the flames had began to simmer down leaving only smoke and residue. Akaza couldn't believe himself that he about to compete such a huge task right off the bat. Walking out of the first door with the lady in hands he was met with the applause of the villagers anticipating their safety. Akaza let out a sigh of relief as things were finally over and every was at safety. He looked at the lady with a smile and spoke. I told you I'd get you out. Then laying her on the ground called for attention to seek the woman who was in critical condition.
