Thing were a just a bit out of the norm for him. Akaza at the moment felt a bit of nervousness as we awaited to be called front and center. The first part of the exams all of the examinees were to demonstrate some of their best abilities to capture the eye of the viewers. It was quite the awkward feeling for someone who had to opperated and trade with and in front of people on the daily basis; most definitely not anything he was used to. He had never performed magic however in front of anyone, in fact Akaza had not been actively using is mana related abilities to hunt at all. He preferred to do everything the hard way. To him by doing it like this was a form of self-discipline and also a way to build character. Well, today would be the day that this would have to change.
Examinee one four seven. Examinee one four seven. Could you please make your way to the exams grounds. I repeat, examinee one four seven could you please make your way to the exam grounds. These were the words heard over the loud-speaker. Cluessles to what his actual number was had to do a double take just to make sure he was the one being called. The time has come and it was now his turn to attempt something that could awe the spectators. As he stood to his feet many things were rambling through his mind. Don't worry baby everything will be just fine. I will become a knight and save you my precious. Akaza then grabbed his bow and oversized hammer to attach them on to his backside. He unsheathed his grimoire from his hip band to walk with it open and in hand. What exactly did Akaza have planned? The only thing that could tell was time itself.
As he entered the arena many faces had their eyes gawking upon him. Many also looked as if they were unimpressed with the previous competitors. Was it that the young mages before him were that uncompelling or maybe that the people watching were truly hard to impress. At this point none of that mattered, Akaza had to do what needed to be done. He closed the book, tucked it under his left arm, straightened his posture and began to speak. Two!! Akaza's first words came out deep as a lions roar. Silenced, noone in the arena just pondered as to what he was speaking. To clarify himself he would speak once again. Two!! Then a slight pause. I will need two volunteers for which I am about to perform. He said with an outreached right arm extending both his index and middle fingers. He then looked over to one of them and explained.
As requested two knights with dark black cloaks covered in purple trimming had come walking forward. Both of whom face could hardly been seen under the shadows of their hooded garment and facial paintings. That was hardly a factor of the matter, but the performance must the pristine. Grabbing his book from underneath his arm and allowing his mana to flow through, his grimoire began to float mid air waist level of himself. If either of you feel that you are in harm's way, the other is very well pleased to defend. Akaza would then cast his first spell. Water Creation: Rainy Day V.2. Suddenly a raging storm of rain filled the arena with continuous downpour. Everyone was a bit confused by the spell due to the naked eye the spell did nothing but get everyone wet. Not yet panicking Akaza would continue on with a second. Water Creation: Restraining Whips. A long vine of water emerged above the two volunteers and came down to wrap one of the men up again seemingly to not do a thing.
Hey, what's going on here? Is this guy is a joke or something. The viewers were beginning to become agitated and not impressed my Akaza's efforts. He would then go on to explain. You see the first spell while may not look like much, but it's hex type that carries abilities that affects anyone within its vicinity. Then he goes on to explain the second. The second spell is a restraining type in which restricted one's use of their own grimoire. I know that you're thinking these may not be much on their own, but combined it's one hell of a combo. The mage with the restraining spell started to speak. Why? Why do I suddenly feel like my mana is leaving me and why can't I regenerate it? Everything was set for Akaza to continue to explain. Exactly how I attended it to be. A slight pause. You see my philosophie is the one who can't use is hopeless in defeat. I specialize in the art of using my opponents weapon as my own weapon. I take their mana source and restrict the use of their grimoire. Along with that I create other deficiencies and obstacles my opponent has to overcome. If I land a spell, then you mana becomes mine and your regeneration is severely decreased. It takes quite the set up but it's well the worth in the end.
The audience then became intrigued yet at the same time indifferent with his approach. One could tell by the suddened muttering of the people was no longer in a negative light but now some were swayed. Now stop this!!! Water Creation: Water Shark Bomb. Akaza then extended out his hands in front of him. A huge source of water would then appear and take the shape of a large shark. Now!!! Akaza screamed before releasing the spell toward the man. Wa-w-w-w-w wait!!! The restrained mage yelled as he tried to conjure up some mana to defend himself. A sudden wall of steel appeared before the man blocking Akaza's spell from connecting.
That's enough. The second used a defensive type spell to halt further actions of Akaza. I believe we've seen enough of your abilities. You're done!! The words were of courage with a bit of sterness to it. It seems as if you may have a bit of bloodlust with that last spell. Akaza didn't realize that he had gotten carried away and was really about to hurt the volunteer. My apologies, sometime I get a bit carried away and can't control out the outcome. As he responded he had a bit of time to calm himself and continue to explain. He would then turn his attention to everyone looking and start to speak. This last spell was the third of my specializations. It's an attack creation that has the same capabilities as the others with one exception....They hurt... He finished off with a slight smirk before closing his grimoire and making his way to the arena exit.
