After the introductions were over everyone headed off to the sidelines as each person's number was called and they went up to display their magic abilities. As each person went up, Ashens was amazed by every individual's magic but at the same time he became nervous. His magic isn't pretty like some water magic nor amazing as fire magic and for those reasons he starts doubting himself.
"What if my magic isn't as amazing as others? What can I do that they can't? What makes me unique?"
In the moment of doubting himself he started to calm down and remembered what his brother said to him. Taking a deep breath he sat down on the ground knees crossed in with his messenger bag on his lap as he took out his grimoire started to plan his display. After a few more minutes of planning his numbered was called up, not realizing time flew by faster than he expected so he got up in a hast from the ground and headed over.
While making his way to the front, one of the registration people saw his rushed actions and told him
"Remember to introduce yourself, after you do then you can display your skills, and if you need mages to come in to display your skills upon we have some standing by. Now good luck out there."
“Thank you for the advice, after I introduce yourself please send out 4 of the mages.”
With a plan in mind, Ashens takes a deep break and walked forward toward the center of the open area. Looking up as he sees the audience and the Magic Knight Captains he begins his introduction.
“Greeting Magic Knights my name is Ashens Gillph, third son of House Gillph and my specialty magic is Ink.” As he spoke the clip of his satchel opens up and his grimoire starts floating up in front of him showing everyone his black with golden detailing grimoire. After it hovers in front of him, Ashens lifts his hand over his grimoire and it opens up flipping through pages until it stops and ink slowly starts flowing out of it. “My magic looks dark and maleficent, but I learned to control it and use that to my advantage. If you need me to hunt people down, I will be your hunter. If you bring people to their knees, I will condemn them. If you need me to protect people, I will protect them with this...”
Saying those last words, Ashens summons a beautiful quill that emerges from the ink flowing over his grimoire. Grabbing a hold of the quill he raises up over his head and shouts “With this quill in my hand imbued with the ink magic I possess, I will demonstrate my power.”
Soon after he signaled the mages that he asked for to come up so he can display his skills. While they walk up and surround him he takes a few small pieces of paper that he had in his satchel and starts drawing a symbol on each one of them. Finishing the preparations he looks up and says his final words.
“Now let the hunt begin!”
For his beginning action, he throws the pieces of paper in the air to distract the mages as he squeezes his quill more ink starts pouring out of it like running water. Quickly drawing a circle with marking on the ground around himself it turns black and in a surprise, a flock of raven-like birds bursts out of the ground. With his quill in hand Ashens conducts the flock of the link ravens like an artist painting a path to the pieces of paper he threw into the air. With their sharp beaks, they catch the paper and start to disperse to each of the mages but as the mages try to dodge the flocks 2 of them were hit by it and were thrown down by the amount of force they had. Then without notice they started to shout in pain as a chain appears, wrapping around them like a snake binding and squeezing its prey. Some of the audiences rose from their seats for the screams and the mages that were chained up suddenly questioned how did that happen but looking on their arms or chest they realized that the pieces of paper that were caught by flock were cursed and had bound to them the moment that the paper was stuck to them. The rest of the flock defused and began to splat or crumble to the ground as the spell was successful in its task. Taking the opportunity the other 2 mages that dodged the flock started throwing their magic spells at Ashens, as he tries to run around to dodge them. Few hits were made on him while he was running but as he ran towards one of the mages he begins to splat puddles of ink which shapes themselves into a symbol of a wolf. The symbols become consumed in black ink and begin bubbling, then emerging from the depths are 4 giant wolf heads that float next to Ashens as he runs like an alpha leading the pack. Commanding the ink drooling wolves heads he points at the 2 mages and says
“Take them down!”
The moment the order was given they began launching themselves to their given targets, ramming and locking them down on to the ground. Looking around as the mages are either bound by chains or held down by the wolves Ashens stops his running and brings his grimoire to his side then stabs his quill into the book. Instead of poking through the pages it creates a pool of ink over them and the quill begins to sink into the grimoire as it seeps in the ink begins to overflow like a tank overflowing with water. Ashens puts his hand into the ink like a sword being drawn from its sheath then he takes out a giant black object which becomes hard to see has he starts doing a mesmerizing hand movement spinning and twirling with this object until he stops positioning himself in an attack stance. Dripping with ink the object becomes clear to everyone’s eyes, it’s a giant scythe almost tall as he is emanating a dark aura around it. You can hear the crowd awing in amazement as see this small quill suddenly transform into a giant death-wielding scythe. Ashen then walks over and places his scythe over one of the heads of the bound mages then looked up to the Magic Knight Captains with his gleaming emerald eyes.
“Again my name is Ashens Gillph I will hunt, capture, and protect the ones I hold dear to me. I thank you for your time and attention and I hope one of you will consider me worthy to be on your team.”
After saying his last word he looked around and realized he might’ve gotten a little bit overboard but none the less he was satisfied that he was able to demonstrate his capabilities. Then as he leaves the center stage released the spells that held or bound all the mages he attacked making the ink harden then crumble away and then walks back to the sidelines to see the rest of the mage’s abilities.
