In this world, Magic is Everything. All people, all races, are granted with the power to perform mystical and magical feats via grimories, mystical tomes granted to each and every child on their 15th birthday. Those blessed by the mana can have their names written down in legend.

With the burst of leaves growing on the trees and time slowing down, life begins all over again in this beautiful season. The sky above was clear, a gorgeous azure shade with barely a cloud in sight. The bright summer rays seemed to chase all dark traces and doubts that lingered upon the land, if only temporarily. It was the time for freedom and youth and possibilities and adventures and explorations. 'Tis the time for relaxation, and with everything that had been going on, it was well needed by all.
The blue-haired elf walked—nay, almost skipped—next to her fiancée, fingers intertwined in his. It felt familiar, like the last time they were here in Raque. This time, however, there would be no fighting...not of the deadly serious type, she hoped. From the looks of it, she need not worry. The beaches were dotted with people, laughter and shouts filling the air as adults and children alike played in and out of the water. Everyone looked so happy, so alive.
Being a forest dweller herself, she was not completely at home on the water. However, after their last visit here to fight some krakkens, she had gotten a bit more comfortable with the ocean. And now they were nearing the spot. She could hear the gentle rolling of waves, but mostly, of joy from the people around the area. So caught up in the scene, she almost missed out on what Hans was saying.
"Hmm...This is fun and all, but…"
"We can't always be planning! The sun's out so we have to enjoy it too!" It was a time to celebrate and have fun at the beach, and as she never owned proper swimwear, she had gone for a little shopping trip. After seeing her try this certain swim set out, the lady at the store had pushed the elf to get it, almost to the point of embarrassment.
Her long blue hair was tied up in a half updo with a darker colored ribbon. It was a two-piece set, with her trademark blue and white colors. The top had a cute bow design in the middle, and it pushed her chest up and brought out curves she did not know she had. The bottom was a plain dark blue, though the little wrap around her hips made it slightly more fancy. A pair of cute sandals brought the look together, and she was quite satisfied with the look, if not also nervous at just how exposed she felt.
Then again, a tiny part of her also got this for purely selfish reasons: she wanted to see his reaction to it.
And of course, he did not disappoint.
"Are you sure this is okay, Suna? What about the wedding planni-"
Suna felt his intense eyes settle on her and she squirmed a little. "Is this..." she adjusted the beach wrap around her hips a little bit tighter, "...too much?" Or too little, actually. It was not something she was accustomed to wearing, but after a certain photography session, she was slowly becoming more sure and open with herself. It was not because she was not confident about her body, but she just was not used to showing so much skin, especially in public. But she bought it already, and she felt good wearing it. Besides, Hans seemed comfortable enough in his skin, scars and all. He did not seem at all perturbed, but then again, he always looked good no matter what.
...and it also helped that he was not wearing a shirt.
Well, maybe it was not helpful, with her eyes continuously turning to the dark mage...and not just at eye level.
The couple were nearing where Verena was, but Suna has yet to catch sight of the brunette. Needless to say, she will not be the only one shy about her choice of swimwear. There were also others she would soon recognize...soon.

OOC: Using 50% wordcount discount here And another (better??) angle of her swimwear:
"Good." Suna was pleased. At this point, Charles was almost like the younger brother she never had. Of course, he physically towered over her petite frame, but it was the dynamic these two shared that made it seem like family. Family? That was something she had never really had, but always yearned for. Miraculously, the people around her were slowly filling in those gaps, as if they were the ones meant to be.
"And if you ever need a place to sleep at night and don't have anywhere else to go..." Here she stretched her arms out with her invitation to the silver mage. "...my home is open to you anytime." Though her humble abode was not the biggest place, there was room aplenty for two or three guests if it ever came down to that. It was also slightly secluded, away from the main hustle and bustle of the nearby town. Come to think of it, she has only had a few people over to her house—that was something she would have to change soon. She had been learning the ways of playing hostess, and it was quickly becoming a delight and joy to her. Not to mention, all the years of living by herself had provided her ample time to hone not only her skills in magic, but also skills in the kitchen.
Now the topic turned to something more somber. The elf nodded slowly as Charles voiced his concerns. It was difficult knowing what was fact from fiction nowadays, especially with the numerous rumors and whispers around in the streets of Clover. Some were definitely absurd, while others were more plausible. Either way, she would be glad to get more news from a reliable source; that is, after the Magic Knight returned to his base and became caught up in the latest happenings and details on events.
"Optimism? More like facts." She stated, pursing her lips. She had faith in her friends. She has seen them in action, and has watched them improve. As long as they and the rest of the kingdom stayed together, she had no doubt that had a very good chance of ridding the daemons once and for all. Of course, no one knew the full breadth of what was going on, but from her perspective, they can and will triumph in the end.
"Speaking of which, do you have an idea of when you're going to be challenging your squad's current vice captain?" It would doubtless be a very interesting fight. Not something one saw every day. "And what kind of preparations would you need to do?" She asked curiously, not exactly sure what it all entails. "Aside from becoming stronger in your magic, are you also required to complete certain tasks or such?" It was, after all, a promotion in status and position, and those rare came without some solid background conditions.
"Mmm, yes yes." Just an upgrade in position did not necessarily mean that power and strength was the same all across the board. Lydia came up—whether one liked or disliked to admit it, the female mage was definitely on a different level of her own. As for the Black Bulls, Suna was well aware of what type of reputation they held. "Still, as long as you attract the right kind of attention..." her voice faded off as she thought about it. Looks like the best way was still for her to introduce the young man to a girl she deems suitable. That still would not be for a while, however.
"Hmm would a picnic or something more casual be better than a mixer?" She thought aloud. "Well, either way, I'm glad that you're back! Shall I send the wedding invitation to the Black Bulls base?" Then lowered her voice. "Hans and I don't want anything too big or fancy, but only you are invited, so don't come bringing the entire squad in!"
