Artemis was not sure what love was. Even now, as she wrapped her arms around Lydia, savouring the moment as their lips were locked, she did not know what love was. Was she meant to know what it is? She often found herself thinking that love itself was a mystery that was never meant to be solved. How could it be solved, truly? It was an emotion, something irrational yet rational at the same time. Artemis found herself wondering what love truly was? Was it the feeling she was currently feeling? Was it the happiness that ran through her every fiber as she held Lydia so very close, as she tasted her lips, as she felt whole? Books could never tell her, nor could anyone else for that matter.[break][break]
“Lydia, I don’t know what love is.” She would start, eyes closed, “A part of me is afraid. Afraid of what may come as I face this new chapter in my life.” Artemis would recall all the times she had had to make hard decisions. Some of the very life changing. She could remember the day she chose to join the Green Mantis. The day she decided to finally do something about herself, to become a better Magic Knight. She remembered the day she vowed to change the Green Mantis for the better, to bring it to new heights. Important days, yet not as important as today. [break][break]
“What I feel now, if this is love, then I’m not sure I would like to return to when I did not have it.” Artemis would finally open her eyes. It took quite a bit of effort to keep her transformation, maintaining it mana was still very new to her. Yet, she did it. It was a training session, after all. At the end of the day, this training would help her with maintaining mana on this spell, no matter how distracted she was. In fact, it was good training in her opinion, though she would set aside that thought for now. [break][break]
“If this is love, this feeling? Then yes, I do love you Lydia.” Artemis would give her a smile, soft, yet very caring in her own little way. “This is all new to me, everything about this is foreign.” Artemis would shake her head, “I don’t really know what to say, nor what to do.” She paused, before continuing in a much slower pace, “This thing we have. I suppose most people would call it a relationship. Yes, that would be it, hm?” Artemis nodded to herself, “Would this be it?”[break][break]
She held that question for a moment, unsure of what the answer would be. Truthfully, she was unsure about everything right now, only knowing that she had feelings for the woman that was holding her. And she had feelings for her too. It was a good feeling.[break][break]
“So, well, we still need to train our spells, hm?” Artemis finally said, starting to wriggle her way out of Lydia’s embrace. While they were able to get the transformation correct and fairly decently mastered, Artemis knew that Lydia and her still needed to perfect the reinforcement spell that was tied into the transformation spell. The spell itself was not complete without it, after all. No, Artemis wanted to get this mastered today, no matter how emotional this day had become. [break][break]
“Race you!” A small smile, and wing flapping at rapid pace, Artemis flew off, leaving Lydia behind, though she was sure that the young woman would not be idling. From what she had learned, Lydia was very fast, and her spells were even more so. In fact, it was said that Light spells were the fastest of all the elements. Artemis fully expected Lydia to not only catch up with her spell, but to also surpass her speed, and overtake her. Well, that did not mean she can’t do her best and make it hard for the Light mage to catch up. And so, with another burst of mana, Artemis went to full speed.

Her whole appearance changes, hair turning into auburn, her clothes replaced by warrior-garb made of silk and gold, which gives her an ethereal look, with the most prominent feature of the transformation being the feather wings on her back. This transformation allows Artemis flight, and the combination of both Physical Reinforcement to the Transformation allows her to move at a faster speed than normal. Her flight speed is at-rank 80 m/s following Transformation rules. Growing 50 inches in size, Artemis is able to carry at maximum 15 people on her wings and back, though why she would do that, she did not know. The spell allows Artemis to weave in and out of combat, unhindered by ground speed. [break]

[attr="class","florencetext"]The pink haired mage would listen about how Artemis didn't know about love. It made sense after all she didn't let her emotions run free so it was most likely hard for people to get close to her let alone as close as the glass mage had. That's okay I can help you learn if you let me. The vice captain would give her friend a soft smile as she listened to what the women said the solution was easy to Lydia. then don't no one is going to tell you not to feel this way. The vice captain would find her face turning a little red at what the water mage said next. I suppose to does mean we are one if that's fine with you? [break][break] The topic would then switch back to training which was something they still needed to finish. There was only one thing left that they needed to do and it seemed the blonde and white haired mage was one step ahead of her challenging her to a race. Lydia would take off at full speed after her. After all she had a title to uphold. The light mage would soon take the lead while the water mages spell was fast Lydia had light magic which was the fastest element and allowed her to pass Artemis after a few moments. It didn't take much longer for the two magic knights to reach the spot they first started out. As they landed on the ground Lydia would stop feeding mana to her spell allowing her appearance to return to normal. She would then make her way over to her partner. Well that was fun. Can you do me a favor and drop the spell? [break][break] Assuming the water mage did as she asked Lydia would lean forward stealing her first kiss without them being under a transformation spell. This would be the longest kiss the two of them shared even a minute or two if the water mage allowed it.

Description: When Lydia cast this spell her whole body get's covered in light transforming her into a mythological figure known as a Valkyrie much like her spell Hildr however it has key changes. The first of which being her appearance. She know has blonde hair and while her outfit still has what looks to be armor in parts which still doesn't protect her from damage she also has white silk looking sleeves and pants. She also gains six white feather wings. This allows her to fly at eighty meters a second following the transformation rule. She can also choice to grow up to fifty inches taller. She can also carry up to fifteen other people on her back but it is very unlikely she would do so. Predators Mutation also allows her to add speed buffs to her transport speed. The spell also has a Physical Reinforcement spell built into it buffing her speed by sixty meters per second (normal Physical Reinforcement buff plus light magic.)
There was a reason for Lydia Ravencrest’s title, the Light-Speed Paradox. She was known for her incredible speed, for her quick jabs and strikes, for her unbelievable power over light magic. There were few other mages who could even contest Lydia Ravencrest’s power and lightning quick reflexes. Even Artemis was no match for the woman, and she knew that by heart. In contrast, Artemis was known for her affinity with water. Her control over it was second to none at the very moment, and she knew that her prowess over her element was the reason that she was able to actually ascend to such heights within the Green Mantis squad. For some odd reason, her affinity with water was very strong, most likely bred from her familial ties with the ocean and sea. She would not complain, and her prowess showed now.[break][break]
Speed.[break][break]
Artemis was the illusionist. The silent killer, who took the lives of criminals without a sound. Well, at least the criminals could never see her coming. Her illusions were fantastic for these types of missions, and when mages themselves had problems with her abilities, mana beasts mostly had no chances what so ever. However much she excelled with her illusions, she knew she could never be a one trick pony, which was why she had this spell. Speed would help her in the long run, and to be fair, Lydia Ravencrest was her inspiration.[break][break]
When Lydia flew past her, Artemis could only shake her head. Her predictions, in the end, had been correct. Lydia definitely lived up to her title, and Artemis could do little about it. She felt no envy, only pride. She was proud to see that the woman she now had feelings for was so very strong. Lydia’s successes were her own successes, and she vowed to be supportive of the woman as they go through this journey together.[break][break]
As they landed, well, Artemis after Lydia, she acquiesced to her request. “There.” She let her transformation dissolve away, specks of water could be seen being blown as the spell faded, remnants of her element, a reminder that it was indeed a water element spell. She was then pulled into another kiss. This one much longer, and very sweet and gentle. Artemis had blanks out for a moment, just savouring the kiss as their lips were held tightly together. She was unsure of what to do, being that this was their third kiss, though she knew that in time, she would learn. For now, she stood there, wrapping her arms around Lydia as they shared the moment. A feeling of elation rising through the spine, tingling in sensation.[break][break]
After a long while, Artemis finally broke their kiss. Though, she did not break her hold as she placed her forehead against Lydia’s. “Yes, I’m fine with us being in a relationship. You will have to be patient with me, since this is all new.” Artemis gave her partner a smile, “But for the first time in my life, I think opening up my emotional barriers was a good decision.” She paused, “This is the right decision.”

[attr="class","florencetext"]As the two mages shared the kiss Lydia would get lost in the euphoria after all she could stay like this all day. Alas every good moment had to come to an end not that she was overly sad about it. After all based on the water mages words it wouldn't be the last time. Of course I will be. After all I can't expect you to learn this type of feeling all in one day. No matter how long it takes however I'll be right by your side. Seeing as the two mages managed to master there archmage spell in one day there was only one thing left to do and that was to celebrate. So what do you think about going to get some cheesecake as a reward? While the vice captain wasn't a huge fan of it herself it was a sacrifice she was willing to make for her partner. Assuming that Artemis was fine with the idea Lydia would grab her hand leading the water mage out of the base. [break][break] [EXIT]

Artemis nodded at Lydia’s response. “That’s good, because at this point in time, my emotions are telling me that I need you by my side.” She was going off what she felt at this point. Her emotions, once bottled, were finally let loose for once. However much she had been afraid, she felt better now, more elated and free than what she had felt before.[break][break]
“Yes, cheesecake sounds nice.” Artemis would respond, before following Lydia. Well, she really did not have a choice at this point. The woman held her hand, and for the first time in a long while, Artemis smiled widely.
