[attr="class","boxas"] Genesis Fantôme La Poste Genesis eyed the knight curiously. He only shook his head at her first question. Perhaps he had already gone through that option already? At least he was polite enough to not say anything about it. He did, however, answer her second question. She nodded in understanding. Of course it would make sense for his mother to go searching in the royal city. The Golden Dawn headquarters was there, and there were always more news and information being passed along in the busy capital. “I wish you luck.” This time, though the words were similar to before, her tone was much more sincere. Speaking of which, would it be possible that she could find something about her parents there? There was a flicker of hope, and even as she tried to douse it with reason, the flame never fully went out. There was no way. But then again, maybe, just maybe, someone would have heard about her parents’ names. He was now asking about what she would do. Good question. She did not know. “Just earn more yul and live on as I usually do?” She shrugged, not really knowing the answer herself. All she knew was to earn enough to live for another week. However, as of late, her desire to find out about her true identity had been growing only stronger. There was an unexplainable urge to find information about her heritage, and it had been constantly gnawing at her. It seemed almost like a heavensend that someone else was also seeking for someone in the past. Perhaps this was a sign that she should double down and search more earnestly. Then his offer came, and it caught her by surprise. “Go with you...to the capital?” At first, she was about to tell him a blunt ‘no.’ But then she caught herself. On second thought, perhaps this was an opportunity to discover more about herself. The young woman hesitated, caught between the two choices. Was her curiosity and will strong enough to agree to travelling with a complete stranger? He did leave a way out, however, and she appreciated that. “Being alone isn’t a bad thing.” She replied in measured tones, shaking her head slowly. Of course, she never really knew sort of true companionship, so being alone was all she knew. She did suppose, however, that it would be nice to have an ally, someone she could rely on. This knight had seemed sincere and honest so far, but only time would break down the walls she has built around herself. “Thank you for the offer, but I don’t know you well enough to travel with you.” She had always been blunt and upfront, and hopefully that did not offend the man. Not like she would care, even if a little part of her pitied him. There were also a few matters that she needed to tend to—it was not like she could decide to pack up and leave on a whim. But then she continued on. “But I’ve been meaning to visit the capital one of these days, so perhaps I will meet you up there.” She crossed her arms and looked up at the sky. “I also have people I need to find.” She said softly. For a brief moment, the redhead looked vulnerable in her current state of mind, but just as quickly, it vanished. “I guess I’ll see you there in around a week, Sir Vulkan.” She smirked, then turned and sauntered down the street. She would need to do some preparing and wrapping up before she could leave for a certain trip. [EXIT] Notes & Stuff OOC: Thanks for the thread, and looking forward to the next one!
