Greetings to you. I am Edward Ravencrest and am the head archivist for the Kingdom of Clover. I will be taking you through your orientation on how to register your citizenship and abilities within the kingdom. I realize that there is a lot of information to go through and so hopefully this will make it that much easier. If you get confused you can ask one of my staff questions and they should be able to assist you, so, there's nothing to worry about as you are in good hands.
[break][break]
As I said I'm here to help you through your registration and so will explain each to the best of my ability, I will also inform you where you may look up the information required, but first, you will need the forms to fill out. We actually have two forms depending on your personal tastes and I've been told that by one of my staff there might be others on the way. Something about differences being the spice of life. Regardless of that, you may find all the forms on this table. I request you take care to read over the information in this shade of blue as you may find it useful.
[break][break]
Of course, all kingdoms have laws that need to be followed, although, we do have a rogue problem of late it would seem. You can find such information on our laws as well as the lore of the kingdom located in this section to the left. It will also give you information on the more known families within the kingdom, the magic knights and even the church.
[break][break]
You obviously have a decision on how you wish to start, but, if I may make a suggestion, perhaps a good spot would be to...
[break][break][break]
Usually, at this point, it would be a good time to learn your name, your background and even what you are like as a person but that will come up when you start filling in your paperwork. For now, it would quite convenient to know what element(s) you were blessed with, especially given the world we have all found ourselves living in. It is because of this, that I find it prudent to be talking about magic section of your citizenship application first.
[break][break]
Now, we are all born with elements but we can't do more than the most rudimentary things until we have obtained our grimoires. To do this please go to the side room on the left which will take you to the discord tower master, within the grimoire-rolling section please use the command !roll 2d300 and your grimoire will be revealed to you. That was the easy part as you will find there are five tiers of grimoire within the kingdom which will help define which element you were born with. In the order of most common to rarest the tiers are as follows:
[break][break]
[Copper] > [Bronze] > [Silver] > [Gold] > [Platinum]. As one can imagine [Platinum] elements are rather rare and are unique compared to the other four tiers. It is because of this they have been recorded to have their own unique strengths but also weaknesses associated with the elements found within.
[break][break]
After you roll you will receive your grimoire from the tower masters assistants and this is where you will be able to tell us your tier and element. If it is a [Copper], [Bronze], [Silver] or [Gold] tier you will find the element within the section to the right. If you have been lucky enough to obtain a [Platinum] grimoire you will find all the information on their strengths and weaknesses within the section to the far left.
[break][break]
Note: Even if you are born with a stronger grimoire you may be blessed with an element below your own tier. There have been plenty of examples throughout history that have people gaining a gold grimoire but having basic elements.
[break][break]
Let me give you an example. I, myself, was blessed with a [Gold] tier grimoire, however, I was born with an affinity for two elements. Those being paper and ink both of which are normally seen within [Bronze] tier grimoires.
[break][break]
By my example, you can see that your grimoire tier doesn't decide your element, however, the element you are blessed with will give you a small benefit in what its own strength is. I will explain more about that later.
[break][break]
At the end of your registration paperwork, you will find a section called 'Magic Description'. This is to notify us of how you use your magic, it is encouraged that you be creative so we gain a good idea of your abilities.
[break][break][break]
The kingdom of Clover is multicultural and so we understand that your name might not be native to the land, but that doesn't mean you will be looked down upon or refused citizenship.
[break][break]
The application paperwork should be rather straightforward, we ask for your appearance so if you go missing we know who we're looking for. Your personality is important especially if you are wanting to join a magic knight squad or if you belong to a noble family and, of course, your history should be documented for a whole host of reasons. In each of these sections, you are asked to be somewhat detailed as if you are not your citizenship will likely be declined until rectified and no one wants trivial things to slow down the process, do they?
[break][break]
You will be able to find the information on the magic knights on the books on the top shelf of the third bookcase. Information on the rogues of the kingdom in a locked cabinet to the far right, though why anyone would want to know anything about those outlaws is beyond me. The information on the church and its sects can be found on the second floor and it will be on the left as you exit the stairway.
[break][break]
I am now going to help you by going over the more complex parts of the paperwork and helping you fill out the demographics.
[break][break]
The first thing I must address is the strength of your grimoire, many call this your 'grimoire rank'. The reason I must address this before anything else is because as we continue the application process I will be referencing this quite often. The ranks a grimoire can achieve are [Junior] > [Intermediate] > [Senior] > [Grand] > [Archmage]. you can see these abbreviated to [JR] > [INT] > [SR] > [GND] > [ARCH].
[break][break]
As you gain your grimoire when you are fifteen years old you will not be the strongest and so everyone starts at [Junior] rank. As you gain more experience you will become stronger and eventually, your grimoire will unlock additional abilities that will benefit you the holder. The information on when it becomes stronger and the abilities it gives is well documented in the scrolls found in the second room on the right on the third floor.
[break][break]
I am an [Archmage] now, but even I began as a [Junior] ranked mage and I could only get to my current strength via experiencing all that the kingdom had to offer for good or ill.
[break][break]
The youngest you can register for citizenship is at the age of fifteen. The reason for this is that you gain your grimoire at this age and are seen as a legal adult.
[break][break]
Over the years and even now many races have called the four kingdoms home, over the centuries unfortunately pure blooded Elves and Dwarves have died out but their descendants still live on with up to twenty-five percent of those heritages still showing the traits of their ancestry. Information on the four races that live in clover, the two races that are dangerous which occasionally show up and the one helpful race that lives around us are on display on the ground floor in the middle of the room.
[break][break]
The next thing you need to fill into the form is your faction. There are four paths that people have chosen for themselves over the years. Are you a wandering citizen, this is the type of person that wants a quiet life or is an adventurer but on their own terms? Are you a member of the magic knights who actively put their lives on the line for the protection of their home and loved ones? Note: Please put which squad you are joining next to it and within your history how you joined them. Are you a member of the church who are the spiritual safeguard of the kingdom or are you a rogue who wishes to live outside the law and see the kingdom burn?
[break][break]
If you have taken the path of a wandering citizen of course you will not have a faction rank so I ask that you either put not applicable or N/A if you are feeling lazy. If you have taken the path of a magic knight you will always start as a Junior 5th Class. If a more spiritual path as a member of the church appeals to you, you would put nun or decon depending on how you identify and which of the four spirits you follow. If you have decided to live on the knife's edge as a rogue you would start out as a purse snatcher.
[break][break]
The next thing you need to fill in is your social standing. We have four law-abiding standings at current and they are [Commoner] > [Lesser noble] > [Main Noble] and [Lesser Royal] there are two social standings within the underworld of the kingdom and those are [Fallen Noble] and [Main Fallen Noble]. People who are blessed with a [Copper] grimoire never hold noble blood and so are always fated to have the harder life of commoners. You can find all the information of registered noble families and fallen noble families on the back wall of the second floor.
[break][break]
The last piece of information we require is for you to tell me which area of the kingdom is your [home region]. We have three regions within the kingdom [Forsaken Region] > [Common Region] > [Noble Region] of course people have been known to come from the [Out Lands]. If you are a commoner you aren't able to call the [Noble Region] your home, the exception to this rule is if you are employed by a noble as a live-in staff member of course. Commoners usually live within the [Forsaken Region] and [Common Regions] while nobles can live wherever their hearts wish as they are not hampered by the same limitations as the common folk.
[break][break][break]
We have a little section that will seem like it makes no sense to the citizens of the kingdom but please humour me. The section is labelled OOC and it will ask you for your discord name, your timezone, if you have read the rules etcetera. Please fill this in, in regards to the timezone please use GMT so if you were in the Eastern Time Zone it would be -05:00 GMT.
[break][break]
With all this complete your citizenship application should be completely filled out and ready for myself and my staff to look over, to let us know you can submit your request within the citizen approval office. If all went well you will get your citizenship within three days but please be patient as it may take a bit longer than that.
