Rosalia’s grin could only widen when Cyrus shared his excitement about mana beasts with her. They were birds of a feather. “What is it, perhaps I might help in the research?” The beauty was quite knowledgable, but there was always more that she could learn. Her mind wandered to their mana beast at home- the giant winger white wolf Night. He was very much like a puppy, and although she hated the use of the L word, she loved him dearly. He was the most adorable thing that had every happened in her life post-Atlantis.

When the beauty teased the nobleman of sending him her work, he had indeed surprised her with his reaction, being rather willing to take a look. “Yes miss Hama, I was quite expecting a different reaction when I went to tease him initially.” She winked at the spirit and giggled. Honestly, Hama gave her reason to believe that not all women that she could surround herself with were bitches. A lovely notion she needed more of.

Upon the discussion of Cyrus’ redeeming qualities, she knit her brows together at his response. Effort and Hard work were two words that the Vice Captain knew better than most. She’d made it up here all on her own after all, sacrificing family, happiness and leisure. His words made her lift her glass up in the air and chuckle. “Cheers. I’ll drink to that if not anything else. I relate to all of that personally.” She then downed the glass in her hand and placed it on the tray of the nearby servant, grabbing another. The beauty was like a vacuum machine for alchohol, which was surprisingly intimidating to most.

“Compliments are always nice to hear.” Rosalia giggled when Cyrus spoke about how she was a catch. “Perhaps for once I’d like to hear a little more than just about my looks or how good I look in a dress or my exotic hair.” Her smile was a bit sad at that. It was all of her own making, after all, being objectified to such a level. It came with her career.

She was glad that the boy didn’t seem embarrassed and didn’t regret having her as his partner for the night. It meant that she’d at least done something right. It made her relax her posture a bit.

When the conversation turned to her best friend, the Captain of the Golden Dawn, Rosalia couldn’t help but hide her smile behind her most recent glass of wine for the evening. Mmmm. She listened to Cyrus quietly and shook her head when he explained about his recruitment process.

“I’m glad. From what I’ve gathered of you from our most recent outings and…Atlantis, you are quite sensible. Zaven is as well. I’m glad you two are close.”

As the conversation turned to a dangerous challenger for the title and the name of her old mentor and crush came along, the beauty seemed to pause for a second. The glass between her fingers almost slipped away, but she caught herself and gave Cyrus a polite and controlled smile. Vulkan…alive. Her jaw tightened. He’d surely heard of her accomplishments, but had made no effort to look for her or visit.

“I…yes, I’ve heard of him. We aren’t close or anything. I hope you manage to retain your position.” A calm and controlled answer. One that was said in a tone more icy than needed before the beauty changed the topic to something lighter and down her last glass of wine for the evening.

This was a topic she’d discuss at home with Malcolm, and read through reports for. Vulkan Rinvol. As guests left, Rosalia made her exit as well, making small talk with Hama and Cyrus along the way about spirits and making fun of some of the more stuck-up nobles. They got along, and she gave him a light peck on the cheek when he gave her a bottle of the wine.
