It was a little surprising to Tora that this little bear problem was so common! Of course she knew that forest was sort of a major feature of the clover kingdom, but given the incident out near that port city she had assumed that it would be an isolated incident. However, as it were, despite the ...incident with the mana beast near that one town, it seemed other areas still maintained a bit of a bear infestation, and a problematic one at that. Tora couldn't help but grin just a little to herself, humming happily as she imagined what sort of fight a beast like that might put up. The old farmer that had been concerned about the problem. A nice, homely old man with a hunched back from a lifetime of work. Supposedly the man's sons has tried dealing with the bear themselves only for one of them to get rather hurt. She was always a sucker for sob stories and she had volunteered to help! However she had been a bit surprised that she would not be alone in this venture. One of the Magic Knights had also agreed to help them? She couldn't help, as she approached the edge of the forest, but wonder what sort of individual they might be~ A grin across her face and a glint in her eye as she IMAGINED the possibilities! There were so many strange people around she couldn't WAIT to meet them!
Her eyes scanned the tree line until she finally spotted it: a gnarled willow tree that practically was bent over with age. Supposedly the Magic Knight would be meeting her here. Though.....as she approached the tree.... she couldn't help the idle drift of her mind back to that rather shifty fellow she'd met near that port city. Some Magic knights certainly seemed to have reservations about citizen help..... she made a mental note to only wait a good fifteen minutes. The possibility of a Mage Knight perhaps....biting off more than they could chew was very present in her mind. And well, she now knew that not ALL Magic Knights were all that cut out for combat. No harm in making sure they hadn't gone ahead. But hopefully it wouldn't come to that....

Bear hunting was a more interesting task than Johann had expected that he would get as a fresh Junior. He'd expected something monotonous and dull like watch duty or the like, not to immediately get sent out on his own among the many towns and villages to deal with real issues. It was hardly something he would complain about though, rather he was quite satisfied that the peasantry had so quickly found him a mana beast to slay which he found that his abilities were quite suited for. There was an odd peculiarity about the job though, a regular citizen and a commoner on top of it would be joining him it seemed, someone who had arrived before him to deal with the issue. The elf wouldn't pretend to know the reason behind their involvement, for all he knew they might be a soon to be magic knight taking this challenge just before seeking to take the test or just a concerned citizen who would rather solve the issue on their own rather than wait around for the magic knights to take their time which at that point the beast might already have caused further issues. In either case or whether he was entirely wrong he'd been told where he could meet them which he decided would be for the best even should taking the creature out on his own reward him greater prestige. Were they a local then their knowledge could be quite useful in actually finding the creature, Johann had to admit that he was neither good at sensory magic nor a great outdoorsman given his noble background, at best he knew with an encyclopedic knowledge what he was able to safely eat out in the wilds but he'd only learned that as a side effect of studying the uses of his own magic.
Slowly making his way out to the gnarled tree he had been told about he saw a white haired woman in the distance which in and of itself was an oddity, for a brief moment his mind wandered over to the Silva family but their hair was a rather distinct silver usually so that thought was quickly dismissed, plus he couldn't really see a Silva parading around as a commoner. Still, having spotted the woman he made the assumption that this was likely who he was after given her great build and multiple scars and as such proceeded to walk in her direction. "Johann Zettour, magic knight of the Golden Dawn. I assume you're also here concerning the magic beast? Would you know where i can find it?" he said introducing himself stiffly as he'd stopped a few meters distant, looking up at the literal giant of a woman compared to his own paltry stature who certainly looked a bit too fit and battle scarred to be any ordinary commoner, her height eliciting a slight jealousy that furrowed his brow and made him look a tad displeased with just how far up he had to look. If nothing else it looked like she could very well wrestle with the bear even if her magic was a paltry thing but preferably Johann would blow it up from a distance long before such a thing could even be considered.
Tora's brows perked up as she noticed the young man, and a bit of a shrot one at that, showing up. She smiled brightly, grinning a bit as she made note of his serious demeanor. But thankfully not that sort of insidious and .....underhanded look that the last Magic Knight she'd encountered had had. "That's me! Tora Gui! Citizen o the Forsaken realm! I heard there was a bear! I didn't know it was a magical beast though... been a while since I ran into one of those. Well, outside of a dungeon at least." She chuckled, rolling her shoulder for a moment before she turned her attention up north. "Soooooooo, from the reports, it seems in the forest just north of here the bear has been causin some trouble. Honestly trackin the brute isn't gonna be necessary, once we're in it's territory it should be the one to find us." She pointed out thoughtfully, recalling the bear carcass she'd found in that other place. It had been pretty close to the borders, implying that it had zeroed in on the mana beast even just entering it's territory. Presumably the same would probably be true of this beast they were currently hunting.
She glanced back to the Magic Knight himself and that smile popped right back up on her features. "Everythin alright? You have a look about ye that something's bothering you. Best we get it out of the way now while there ain't a bear up in our business." She noted calmly, knowing that not all nobles were all that amenable to the sight of her to say the least. Between all of her battle scars and her attire and stature, she was practically out of some noblewoman's nightmare as a house guest, so she could only imagine that perhaps this young fellow had similar disgruntlement in regards to her appearance. A shame... but something that had to be expected sometimes in the line of work they found themselves in. After all, she'd been around enough magic knights to know they were...... definitely a mixed bag. This one in particular definitely seemed a lot more ....well....militant, for the military organization. At times she even wondered how it qualified with such a ragtag assembly of people. BUT she still was an optimist! With any luck, this young lad and her would soon be good friends! What could go wrong?

A dungeon? Well that settled it, she is far from normal. Johann himself hadn't even been to a dungeon yet but from what he knew those could be positively lethal. A hint of surprise still in his tone he decided to informally inform her "Though your reasons are your own I'd advise you against doing any further dungeon delving. The treasures within are officially owned by the state to be retrieved by the Knight orders. Leaving with any treasure from within would be considered theft against the Royal family. But-" he waived his hand as if pushing away the topic "We're here to deal with the beast, so I didn't hear that part. "
Listening to her explanation of the situation she was probably correct, most magic beasts were rather aggressive so usually making some noise would attract them. His own magic could probably do that easily enough, explosions did make for quite a lot of noise, granted it would spook half the woods too. The topic shift concerning his complexion caught him off guard as he'd still been looking up at her, even if she'd meant nothing by it it still reddened his face with embarrassment as he shifted his gaze towards the woods and crossed his arms pretending nothing of it. "Ah, it's nothing! just a passing thought. Unrelated to the mission." was the excuse he settled upon, he couldn't exactly go out and admit that he was jealous of her, and for it to be something as infantile as her height no less.
"More importantly!" he said a bit louder to distract both himself and with any luck Tora from the embarrassing scene. "We should get to work dealing with the magical beast before it strikes again. Now, lead the way if you would Miss Gui." he said, still somewhat blushed but pretending nothing of it, deciding to focus on the goal and hoping the woman would do the same despite her more boisterous nature.
