To say Advent was unique would be an understatement, he was raised in the ruins of an ancient city that since had been reclaimed by a forest. He knew nothing of the world outside his home as the ones who raised him never let him near the edge of the forest, due to the multiple spells cast by those that raised him the forest was hidden from the view of even the strongest mages, that being said a few accidently had found their way in and were kindly asked to leave; those who didn't never left at all. Within the forest Advent was happy and as energetic as any growing boy would be to the point he pushed his luck but he was still loved and cherished while being taught everything he would need to survive if he was in danger. Days turned to weeks, weeks to months and eventually to years which had passed in the blink of an eye which caused them to worry about their young ward who was completely unaware. Soon it was the night before the white haired teen's fifthteenth birthday and they knew that eventually he'd would want to leave the nest, he would have to; after all it was tradition that when someone turned fifteen they attended a grimoire awarding ceremony. The issue they had with this was they didn't believe he was ready for such a thing as the world was a cruel place that would take advantage of someone naive to its ways, on the other hand they also didn't believe the world was ready for their hyperactive and eccentric ward, so they decided that they would have a meeting while the white haired teen slept and the majority decision would be the one they would back. When night came and Advent was asleep they met away from the building, for hours they went backwards and forwards quietly discussing the pros and cons of what could happen the day after. It was during this time Advent had heard voices and snuck out of his room, kept low and quiet to hear what the adults were talking about. It was just as he arrived he heard a dark secret they had been keeping from him which made him run away to a deep hole near the centre of the forest, he was about to jump in when his wrist was grabbed and he was pulled into someone's chest. He listened to the person hugging him telling him he was foolish for what he was about to do and asked him what was going through his mind, he explained what he heard which caused the one holding him to hug him tighter. He was then told that wouldn't accomplish anything that if he really wanted to prove the sacrifice was worth it then he would follow his feet, get his grimoire and help those who needed it. He agreed and that very night he took his first steps out of the home that he had kept him safe, that he himself had caused so much harm into a world of mystery.
He had been on his journey now for a while having no idea where he was going, there were times he wanted to just turn back and pretend that this world didn't exist but every time he did he felt like he would hear his loved ones telling him to continue so he did. He travelled through villages and cities but whatever he was looking for wasn't at those points or at least that was how he felt, he couldn't explain it so just continued forward following his feet and instincts. Doing that however, led him into more than a few awkward situations that he quickly ran from as he believed the people were crazy. Eventually he made his way from one realm of the kingdom to the next rinsing and repeating but still nothing felt right and he was starting to get disheartened, sure it was fun and everything but he wanted the thing that seemed to be calling to him. Months after he started his journey he ended up in the noble realm, it was more than that he ended up in the royal city. He had no idea that people were looking at him strange, not that it would make a difference to him as he wasn't about to change himself for others. He stopped in the middle of a street, as a warm breeze passed him.
"I feel it so strongly now. Where is it coming from?"
"Calm your mind and feel it, you know this already."
"Easy enough for you to say tha-"
"Don't give us that, we taught you better"
With this quick conversation and the huff followed he calmed himself as to allow his senses to feel around the place, by this point he had quite a few people staring at him unsure what was going on. It was after a long few seconds he took off like a train down the street without warning, it was almost like he was a kid possessed as he dodged and weaved between people only to burst through a door. He leaned forward as if to catch his breath for a moment but he still tried to speak.
"Take a minute to catch your breath numbskull."
"Are you sure he's ours?"
"Stop being so cruel you two."
"Shh, I can't think..."
He was in a new places, it was thick with so many overwhelming smells and people boasting about this and that, a few of them even commenting about him or scoffing. That he could ignore but he scratched his cheek rubbing the back of his head.
"Umm... what is this place and what is going on?"
People scoffed not only at him but the fact he had the nerve to turn up there of all places especially given he didn't know what was going on.
