Jorah has fair, yet pale skin, and white, swept back hair, which puts emphasis on the fierce, yet stoic expression on his face; however, when his hair is brushed down or becomes wet, his appearance is physically indistinguishable from his younger twin brother, Arn. Just like his brother, he also possesses the same, blue-colored eyes.

In terms of apparel, Jorah commonly wears a long, silver buttoned blue coat with three separated coattails. A white, serpentine pattern runs around the collar, with a snake's head hanging over the coat's left shoulder, and its tail slinking down the right, all the way to the bottom of the coat. A gold lining runs across the edges of the coat, and a silky, golden flower blossom pattern decorates the inner lining. Each cuff of the coat also possesses five, gold buttoned straps with gold lining. Underneath the coat, Jorah wears a navy blue ascot wrapped around his neck, which hangs over a black, sleeveless vest that reveals his well-toned arms and shoulders. He wears tan, fingerless gloves, a brown, snakeskin belt with a silver buckle, dark green pants with a scale pattern running across its surface, and tall, brown boots with two golden buckled straps at the top.

In contrast to his twin brother Arn’s boisterous, outgoing, and extroverted personality, Jorah’s personality is one of calm, cool, collected, and introverted, constantly maintaining an aura of fearlessness. Jorah cares little for the well-being of those around him, and is unflinching in his pursuit of power; however, in spite of his cold and ruthlessness demeanor, he is an honorable warrior who maintains his own set of morals and disciplines. Jorah despises fighting weak opponents and refuses to use cheap tactics,deeming them unworthy of a "true warrior" while staying true to only his magic as well as weapons he managed to obtain from defeated enemies. He wants to rule, but in order to rule he feels he must show the people the error of their ways and use sound logic and tactful approaches to any situation.

In dire situations, however he is not above actions that would seem desperate or those that would contradict his views. Even going as far as to set up members of his family so that he could eliminate any “weak” links. He views his family as the sole inheritors of power while looking at the Magic Knights as a misguided force, and the church as a group of fools that do not know their ass from a hole in the ground.

Jorah and his younger twin brother Arn were conceived by a historically well known yet mysterious Elvish descended male Lionus Von Schurke and the outcast Silva born human Eva, where they resided in a secluded mansion near Kikka. Growing up, Jorah would often fight with Arn over various things, and trained alongside his brother with his father.

As a child Jorah would often visit an old man, known as the Duke of Spades, a man of many talents and a reach that finds itself embedded in the very veins of Clover itself. He did this due to his keen interest in literature, namely poems. There, he avidly read many works, though developed a particular liking towards the works of Rolin Blake's most of all. One day, the man gave Jorah a collection of Blake's poems as a gift, in which Jorah responded by writing his name on the back of the cover. When asked by the man, Jorah told him about his relationship with his brother, and the man understood. Jorah would keep this book throughout his life, even in adulthood.

Sometime before their eighth birthday, Eva gave Arn and Jorah each a half of a family heirloom, the Perfect Amulet. Around the same time, Lionus disappeared and later died from unknown circumstances, and Eva and the twins were left vulnerable to the approaching families of Silva and even the Vaude family looking for the strong twins. At some point after these events, the vulnerable family was attacked at their home by unknown members of the Von Schurke family, setting part of it ablaze. Jorah was playing alone at a playground a few yards from the house, training with a sword in the same style of his brother Arn, his father’s favorite. It is here where he was ambushed by members of his esteemed family. Eventually, he found himself in a cemetery surrounded by those that kidnapped him. Upon seeing his house burning in the distance, Jorah awakened his inner magical ability and killed all of the people there with their own magical spells. Jorah then went on the run believing his mother had abandoned him to the Von Schurke family, a suspicion that would haunt him for the rest of his life. In actuality, Eva was killed while desperately searching for him.

At the age of nineteen Jorah found the family manor of the remaining Von Schurke members he had been unable to kill since he became an orphan. He destroyed the entrance and burned the family home to the ground, destroying hundreds of years of history, artifacts, and clues that might have led him to figure out the demise of his father. He did have one thing though...the book of works by Rolin Blake. He took that with him to a new place...somewhere in the Forsaken Region, and started an orphanage. He only went by his first name and never revealed his family name until he took a wife at the age of 21. By then he had already taken in the orphaned children of Magic Knights that had committed heinous acts or had taken in refugee children outrunning the dangerous circumstances in which they grew up in.

The Von Schurke head sired a few children, raising them on the rebuilt Von Schurke estate where the orphanage was run, teaching them as he learned...the man was ready to spread his fingers into the sand that was the Clover Kingdom...and take a hold of the place of his mother’s birth. It was rightfully his after all...
