She had finally managed to do it, she managed to single down the region alone in which she could call her base of operations. Granted, an entire region with no concrete place of brick and mortar to call home was still far, a far far cry from where she needed to be. Cecile Iris du Ange, the Absconding Angel, the Fallen Ferryman, the former thief herself, was at a loss for location. Narrowing it down from the choices of Forsaken, Noble, and Common, the common region was her best bet.
In her mind, she reasoned it out that while the Noble region would be the first place that the Thieves' Guild would look, that would be the hardest to look in due to the proximity to so many powerful magic knights. The Forsaken region had a minimal defense and was all too easy of a location to pick, but it was also prone to be patrolled by insanely strong arcane stage mages. The common region was the most simplistic choice, and likely the easiest choice. But for one on the run, they would not choose the easy choice, they would look to throw them off the trail of their pursuers as long as possible. And therein lied the genius! She would simply put herself in somewhat plain sight!
"Mwehehehehe, genius thy name is Cecile!" She declared, arms folded while patting herself on the back metaphorically. She felt fulfilled like she had done a great thing just by deciding where to live? Well, it wasn't like she had any allies or money, not even a location in this giant mass of land to make a base.
And the fact that she was stood in the middle of a street while lost in her thoughts, people walking by and trying to get her attention to only walk away....it just made the orange-haired girl with a four beveled spade grimoire stand out all the more. She was a foreigner and from an antagonistic kingdom at that.
For the average noble who did not take part in the oh so righteous duty of the Magic Knights, it would be unimaginable to step outside the Noble area without reason. Even then it would be with a security detail of some kind and for a short amount of time. This wasn’t the case with all nobles however. Some individuals, and even some families, did not mind travelling to these so called “lesser” areas of Clover. Though doing so could be quite dangerous for the inexperienced or the careless, not everyone is fond of nobles after all. Lilith wasn’t from those who lacked the know-how nor those who always had someone accompanying them. She preferred the freedom of being able to go where she desired without restraint. “It’s a shame that the expeditions had to be stopped. We’ll need to focus studies on the territories located with Clover’s borders I suppose…”
Today was just like any other, a day of walking down the streets of Clover. A day of taking a small reprieve from days of research and study. A day for Lilith to unwind a bit and just enjoy herself however or with whomever she pleased. A kiseru, gifted to Lilith by her younger brother, was firmly placed in her mouth as she walked. Her clothes did not provoke overall attention, but made it clear that came from some form of wealth. With a small sigh she released a cloud of smoke from her mouth, silently making her way down the road. “Hm?” A voice suddenly making a declaration caught her attention.
She casually glanced towards the voice’s origin and noted the girl who seemed lost in thought, standing on the center of the road. Though intriguing and strange things would normally grab her attention, Lilith was taking a day off from it all. Or she was until she noted a most peculiar detail on the girl while walking up behind her. A grimoire with a spade. Suddenly a surge of energy coursed through her body, taking the smoke pipe out of her mouth. “Normally one should not announce what sounds like scheming in a public area. Specially not a young lady with your kind of grimoire.” The white haired woman walked around to face the girl, blowing a small bit of smoke into her face. “Lest you wish to incur the attention of unwanted individuals.”
There was a mischievous glimmer in her eyes. The kind you would imagine a predator wanting to play with prey would have. Lilith would occasionally shift her eyes to those who would near them, sending clear intent to kill at them to move along. Her fun would not be spoiled nor interrupted, not just yet.

While she was so preoccupied with her own thoughts, introspecting upon her own thought process itself, she was not paying attention to the hustle and bustle of the common-folk around her, flanking her sides. So lost in her own world, she that she was in the proper world was about to meet a rather difficult time from being toppled over by a horse-drawn carriage! 'ACK!' she shouted as the horse snorted in her ear, causing her to topple over and scramble to the side to let the carriage pass.
Her heart was pounding, and her lungs quickly expanding and contracting, she was skittish enough as is from that little jolt of a startle! It was only made worse by the advent of another person coming in to play. "Scheming? Myself? Never! For you have chanced upon she, she who heralds the Heavens!" With head turned upward, fingers splayed out over her chest, she declared herself joyously even with people walking back and forth. It was that she had assumed the person speaking to her had meant her grimoire's magic, not the spade symbol on it!
"You see, for it is my angelic magic that draws the attention of others. Alas, my schemes are not plots, nor well-thought for that matter. I struggle for the time being of locating a domicile to call mine own! Should I chance upon one within this region, I shall claim it post-haste with whatever monetary means may be necessary!"
Though she said all this, in the back of her mind she was mulling over the offer of that green Mantis vice captain she had bumped in to a ways back. Only time would tell where she could go from here.
"Though I must thank you for bringing me from my stupor! I am Cecile Iris du Ange, a pleasure to make your acquaintanceship!"
