“I’m going insane, aren’t I?” [break][break] He was probably just as good as talking with himself as he was talking to this thing. Forrest sighed, leaning his back against a tree, before sliding down and hitting his behind on some uncomfortable ground. His Crimson Lion Cloak hung loosely across his shoulders and his grimoire colored a light almond brown with decorations of trees on its leather binding, lay open on the ground. [break][break] The thing still floated freely in the air, levitating around a foot off the ground. Its wispy black body akin to that of a ghost but its stump for a face only smiled back at him. [break][break] It whistled, making a chirping noise akin to a bird that Forrest had never heard of before. It laughed. Or at least, Forrest assumed it was laughing. Its whole body jittered as it moved. Forrest set his shoulders back, letting his head rest against the scratchy bark. [break][break] “Entertained, huh? That makes one of us.” [break][break] Ardere had told him about these things. Spirits. The amnesiac was still learning things about the world and this was one of them. Honestly, it hadn’t been his idea to even take any loot from the Dragon’s Horde, but both the master and his fellow adventurers had insisted. There wasn’t anything he had wanted. The only thing he would have wanted to keep… was something he had to have given away. [break][break] Nothing had felt right since then. [break][break] To be quite honest, few things in his short, remembered life did feel right. How many months had it been now? And the memories of his life before still hadn’t returned. Another part of him had given up. [break][break] The Dragon’s Horde had nothing really, so he grabbed a gaudy looking weapon, some expensive looking item, and then… there was a scroll, with the insignia of a tree. And throughout that hell of a journey, he’d thought the lizard god hated trees. Still did, probably. When he opened it, this thing had popped out. [break][break] A spirit. Ardere had one too, his was a lizard. Salamander, but still a lizard. Forrest was finding that he wasn’t fond of such reptiles, especially if they were on fire or related to it. Anyway, he’d been told that if he bonded with it, he could be granted some great power. He was still doing his research, looking through books and old tomes and it did seem like some grand power-up known as spirit dive existed. [break][break] This little thing was known as a secondary spirit and it would grant him such an ability if he trained with it [break][break] Forrest didn’t know how he knew, but the name of the little guy was Stump. It was as if the name had magically appeared in his head when he had first opened the scroll. Stump didn’t appear to talk, but it did seem to understand words and speech. And to a certain degree, seemed to understand Forrest’s thoughts without him even saying anything aloud. The fact that he was speaking out loud to it now was more for his own benefit. [break][break] Stump didn’t talk back to him though, so the conversation still seemed mostly one-sided. Forrest had decided to take himself and his spirit out in the woods, the real (haha) forested areas outside in the Forsaken realm. It was a wood spirit after all, so perhaps it would have preferred such an environment over the busy city-like Noble Region. [break][break] They were supposed to get closer, somehow. This journey to better understand the spirit was a better option than attempting and likely failing to remember more about himself. [break][break] “So, what do you like to do for fun, I guess…” [break][break] He hoped he didn’t look as ridiculous as he felt. The whistling laughter from dear little Stump only resounded in response.

Why was he out here? Where was he even at? Questions like these seemed to float quickly through Chisana’s mind as he walked through the seemingly never-ending forest. He was sure if he continued the way he was going he would eventually reach the village that he had been told to go to by his Captain but that didn’t lessen his annoyance in having to deal with the hardly visible trail and at times path blocking overgrowth of vines and thorns. Even having grown up in the middle of no where himself this kind of traveling was beyond annoying and quite honestly if he still had access to his old magic he would have just created a golem to fly him to the village but weirdly after he completed his last mission the next day his magic drastically changed no longer could he summon the small platoon of golems of various types but now he could only summon some weird type and only slightly different kinds of that type. Nothing he had read in the vast library that the captain had in his study seemed to tell what the heck had happened to him besides the random and very rare occurrence of a person’s magic changing but that was more due to finding some crazy artifact or even life changing experience, so for Chisana he was thoroughly confused on what happened.
“I swear to all that is divine once I find out what happened to me, I will get revenge on someone or something.” Chisana muttered to himself as he continued his increasingly frustrating walk. “How on earth do you suddenly lose a part of your own magic? I wasn’t cursed or incur any spirit’s wrath as far as I know.” His verbal monolgue continued, normally the young Shengxiao was on high alert in areas like this and in places where he wasn’t complete familiar with but he had slowly dipped into his thoughts and had lost all situational awareness that he normally held in high vigilance. So it was quite a surprise when he happened to stumble upon a man who was muttering to himself as he cleared through a patch of thorns. Chisana was quite surprised to see another person out here and even more so to see that he had found a Crimson Lion all the way out here, the only Crimson Lion that he had personally met was Lydia Ravencrest. Slowly making sure that the man could see he meant no harm and that he was also wearing his Black Bull mantle he approached him, “Hello, I’m sorry to barge into your self-meditation I haven’t been having the best luck with finding my way through this massive forest.” Chisana would say trying to make a joke hoping the mage in front of him was not one of the overly prideful and arrogant Lions that were sprinkled throughout the squad. He did not have the desire to deal with that massively annoying waste of time that he was sure would involve a lot of yelling, exchange of blows and someone waking up with an aching jaw. With what Chisana could tell of the mage in front of him was that he was quite a bit stronger than he was and was pretty close to being around where Lydia was herself if not just a bit weaker.
[attr="class","forresttext"] Stump didn’t immediately reply. [break][break] Instead, the small spirit floated freely above the ground, its wispy body seeming to flow along with a breeze that Forrest himself couldn’t feel. The little smile on its face was starting to get annoying. All it ever did was float around, laugh at things, mostly Forrest himself, and then make a tree grow once in a while. [break][break] If it had any secrets, none of them were going to be relayed to Forrest. [break][break] “Hello, I’m sorry to barge into your self-meditation I haven’t been having the best luck with finding my way through this massive forest.” [break][break] He heard the voice and the rustling in a patch of thorns, immediately he did tense up, ready to put up defenses just in case. But it seemed that it was just another Magic Knight, a young man of the Black Bull if Forrest could recall correctly, what the black cape and the insignia of a Bull’s skull on it. Once recognizing a Magic Knight, the blond wood mage let his aura drop. [break][break] “It’s fine. I’m not meditating anyway.” His own words sounded a bit distant from even himself. Well, it had been a while since he’d interacted with others besides his squadmates. He didn’t get out much, golden amber eyes trailed back to the ground, looking to Stump yet again. [break][break] Only to find that the wood spirit was missing. Immediately, Forrest was put on alert again. “Huh?” How was something like that supposed to have missing? Had it just left in the mere moments he had allowed himself to be distracted? He stood up, golden eyes scanning the area for signs of the small wispy creature. [break][break] “Tch… where did you go you little…” He would have said something else, if he hadn’t just spotted Stump behind the young man, floating directly beside his head. [break][break]
Stump whistled its usual chirp-like noise before laughing away again. In one swift motion, two stubby arms caught the young Bull’s hood and then flipped the hood up to cover his head and his face. [break][break] “Stop that!” Though it was already far too late, Forrest crossed his arms, then lifted his palm to hold his forehead. “Get back here.” Forrest grumbled once more, and this time Stump finally complied. It floated out from the shadows, its trunk of a head bobbing lightly as it floated near its bound master. [break][break] “Sorry… It doesn’t listen to me very well.” He said, grimacing at what he had to admit. [break][break] Well, how was he supposed to explain himself now?

TL;DR Stump is causing spooky mischief! (Chisana can see Stump freely)
Post by Chisana Shengxiao on Aug 1, 2020 13:17:27 GMT -5
The young man assured Chisana that he had not interrupted anything and that was a relief for the young Shengxiao because he didn’t need any issues with some random person that he had stumbled upon. In today’s day and age, you never knew who would just suddenly attack you or try and harm you due to a misunderstanding. He studied the young man and then he noticed that the mage was looking around like he had misplaced something or that he was looking for something so that naturally caused Chisana to look around too. He didn’t know what he was looking for but he could sense or maybe the better word was feel like there was something else in the area, then he heard a chirp like noise close to his head like some bird but not quite right. Definitely not like any kind of bird that he had heard before in his travels, then as if the wind suddenly picked up the hood to his Magic Knight Mantle flipped up and over his face. Quickly he flipped it back down and his eyes darted around unsure of what had happened but now on alert, the mage had shouted out about stopping and getting back over to him and that was when he saw some kind of thing, some kind of creature that he had never encountered before. It looked like a tree stump with eyes, a mouth, and a ghost-like body. Chisana wasn’t sure what it was but it kind of reminded him of another Mage’s spirit companion that he had met so long ago.
The other mage apologized to Chisana about his lack of control of the creature but since it was just a harmless prank done but what seemed to be a creature that didn’t show any hostility Chisana was perfectly fine with letting things go. “Don’t worry about it, it certainly caught me by surprise but if you don’t mind me asking? Is that a Spirit or some other kind of Creature? I have only seen one other kind of Spirit.”
[attr="class","forresttext"] So then it finally decided to listen to him. The spirit floated freely, just a few feet of the ground, seemingly happy to return to its begrudged master. Forrest wasn’t sure if that was how the contract worked, no matter what he did or said, the little guy always seemed to be doing whatever it wanted anyway. In the end, he supposed he had to happy that it did return to him often enough out its own free will anyway. [break][break] The ethereal chirp-like laughter still didn’t stop. [break][break] At least, the young man they happened to run into was kind enough in regards to the mischievous nature of the thing. Forrest stood a bit taller, once listening to what the Black Bull had to say. [break][break] “Is that a Spirit or some other kind of Creature? I have only seen one other kind of Spirit.” [break][break] The blond wood mage looked down to the wood spirit once again, who seemed to be off in its own world as it toyed with some long bits of grass on the ground. How did the young Bull know about spirits? Was it more than what Forrest knew himself? Certainly, it could prove helpful, if it was information that he didn’t have prior. [break][break] “Um, yes. I’m told that it is.” Forrest answered, his hesitant voice only half sure of his response. “You’ve met others like it? I know... they’re quite rare.” Another spirit holder beside his Captain Ardere? Salamander was one of the greater, major spirits, and then… here was Stump, a little wood wisp in comparison. [break][break] “I’m Forrest.” Forrest gave a short bow of his head with his introduction. His name was the best way to start. “As you can see, Magic Knight of the Crimson Lion.” He nodded to his robe that hung loosely on his body. “And this is Stump, a… Wood Spirit.” On cue, Stump waved one of his stubby limbs, eliciting another small chirp from its trunk of a head. [break][break]
Without another acknowledgment of the Black Bull mage, Stump immediately went to tug at Forrest’s trousers. Stubborn sounding chirps resounded from its little body. [break][break] “What are you hungry?” Forrest asked aloud, but of course, he already seemed to know the answer. Sighing once more, the Crimson Lion reached into his satchel bag for a smaller pouch tied with a loose string. He dumped out a puffy dessert, a colorful macaron into his open palm. Kneeling to the ground, he muttered something about how hungry the little guy always seemed to be. Though, in the back of his mind, he wondered if this was even a good thing to give spirits or if they even ever needed to eat. [break][break] “Here. Not that you deserve it.” Stump chirped happily again, quickly taking the ma and munching down on the light green colored dessert. Forrest turned back to the Bull once more, offering up one of the sweet treats to the Bull. [break][break] “Macaron? Don’t worry, they’re just normal sweets.” [break][break][break]

Chisana listened to the mage as he asked about how Chisana knew about spirits and the like while also introducing himself as Forrest. Who of course belonged to the Crimson lions squad. Chisana chuckled at that introduction because Forrest was wearing his mantle just like how Chisana was wearing his own.
“Nice to meet you Forrest I am Chisana Shengxiao from the Black Bulls.” He flipped the edge of the mantle as he said the last part of his statement. Now he paid attention to the strange creature named Stump, it was the first of its kind that Chisana had seen. The last spirit Chisana had seen was one that was like looking at a small human and could talk to you if it so chose. He watched as Forrest interacted with his spirit and pulled out some snacks for the mischievous runt, he poked fun at how the spirit didn’t deserve it but at least Stump was mean to strangers. Chisana had heard that the personality of the spirits were random beyond belief so to see one that was just a bit of a prankster was refreshing when the spirit could have differently been one that just attacked on sight.
Chisana looked at the snacks and realized that he was quite hungry thanks to getting pretty much lost in this annoying and stupid forest, so he gladly reached out and took some treats from the young man.
“Thanks Forrest. I appreciate it, I’ve been wandering this forest for quite a bit and didn’t realize how hungry I had gotten from the travel.” Chisana mentioned as he enjoyed the treats, he kept one and tried offering it to Stump to show there were no hard feelings to the little prankster.
“Anyways, yeah I have met one other spirit and that was with another magic knight theirs were human like and could talk. When I first met them I thought the mage was just crazy till the spirit decided to show itself.” Chisana laughed at how crazy Cyrus had looked back then just rambling to himself but fully as if someone else had been there, He had looked like quite a loon at that time but that hadn’t scared away the young Shengxiao from going on an adventure with them.
[attr="class","forresttext"] The young Bull gave his own introduction, to which Forrest nodded in return. Chisana, Shengxiao. It was not a name that sounded native to Clover, it almost seemed to have roots in the same vein as Ardere’s family name, Kasai. There were quite a few foreigners in Clover, or those who had origins elsewhere. On the matter of names themselves, quite honestly, Forrest only barely knew his own. [break][break] Stump was gladly eating away at the treats the Forrest provided it, though the blond still wondered if sweets were a proper thing for a spirit to eat. Nonetheless, Stump seemed to like them. Forrest didn’t have much of a sweet tooth himself, but he was gradually learning that he didn’t mind them as much as he would have thought (what with more constantly having them around for the little guy). [break][break] “Thanks Forrest.” [break][break] Chisana took a macaron as Forrest offered it. It was the least the Lion could do, since Stump had caused such trouble for the kid. [break][break] The teenager did something curious, kneeling down and holding out of the the treat for the small spirit to take. Stump floated freely, tilting its large head as it looked at the treat that Chisana offered to it. Suddenly, the little guy chirped again quickly taking the macaron from the raven-haired teen and munching down on it. [break][break] “Well, you made him like you.” Forrest mused aloud. Stump, perhaps, never really disliked people, but it always found ways to annoy them to the point of not very many people liking it. Forrest wondered if that was to mean anything, considering he and Stump had quite differing personalities. [break][break] The young Bull mentioned that yes, he’d seen other spirits before, well, just one other. Apparently the spirit he had encountered was able to talk to the mage it belonged to and the other way around. Forrest took a look at Stump, still munching away at the sweet treat.
[break][break] “Stump doesn’t really talk, but he still lets me know what’s on his mind most days.” Forrest said, sounding a bit more tired than he intended. Seeing that Chisana posed no real threat, Forrest allowed himself to relax. He went back to leaning against a nearby tree, and eventually sliding himself down to sitting position on the ground. [break][break]
Looking back to the teen, Forrest took note that kid really was, just a teenager. And yet, he was already wearing the mantle of a Magic Knight squad. Of course, Forrest had been told that he’d joined the Knights when he was only eighteen, maybe seventeen? But it was hard to imagine such young people dedicating their lives to something so dangerous. Maybe it hadn’t been his place to judge but… [break][break] “May I ask how long you’ve been a Knight?” He was curious, certainly. And it seemed that Stump had had his fill of desserts. The small Spirit came floating next to Forrest before finding a comfortable spot in the shade next to the Knight and curling up into a ball and seemingly, falling asleep. [break][break] Forrest rested his hand on the Spirit’s whisp-like body, feeling the cool shade on the spirit’s back. Stump seemingly purred, almost like a cat, as it found a comfortable spot to rest next to its master.

“Well that made him like you.” Forrest offered after Chisana had offered the mischievous little spirit some of the candy that was being shared. Chisana had not done it to gain a friendship but more to hopefully keep the little spirit from pranking him randomly while they are together. Though the more he thought about it the more it made sense to be on friendly terms with a sentient spirit. Chisana listened to Forrest on how Stump does not frankly speak to anyone at least not with words it would seem, Stump seemed to communicate with these little chirps they made and probably body language. He wasn’t sure what the difference between the other spirit he had interacted with and this one was, maybe it was age or possibly even just power, it was a mental note he made sure to keep to add to his list of things to look into.
The Crimson Lion seemed tired probably exhausted being out here by himself and Chisana could feel the stare of the young man on him as he himself studied Stump. There was the question he had not been asked before except maybe once or twice by older members of the Magic Knights, he was after all quite young to be in a Squad of the Magic Knights. While there isn’t an age limit on who can join the squads, it was a bit weird to see one as young as Chisana being an active part of a Squad. He had after all joined the Black Bulls at the age of 15 shortly after gaining his Grimoire, he was one of the youngest if not the youngest member of the squad. Though his height and size tended to make others see him as much older than he was, and he rarely spoke as a someone would at his age.
“I have been a member of the Black Bulls for the better part of a year now. I joined as soon as I could when I got my Grimoire.” Chisana mentioned calmly there was not any harm in telling Forrest. If anything, it would probably cause the Crimson Lion to be able to relax more, which was always beneficial for the young Shengxiao. Relaxed people spoke more, and he got to learn more. “I had to spar with our Captain who I didn’t know was the Captain at the time to join, it was quite a sight to see I’m told by the people who watched the spar.” A smile spread on Chisana’s face as he remembered the spur of the moment fight he had jumped into just because Malcolm had decided to challenge people to join his Squad in the village he just so happened to be exploring. “I guess I’ll ask the same question to you Forrest, how long have you been a Knight?”
[attr="class","forresttext"] The truth was, he wasn’t quite sure if that was normal for spirits. At least, the bit about not really talking or communicating with actual words. For Forrest, most of Stump’s antics were quite normal by now. [break][break] In any case, he was now getting the young Bull to talk about himself. As Stump winded down and most likely, well, took a nap, as Forrest guessed it could apparently do that. [break][break] He turned to Chisana as the boy explained himself. Joined the Knights… as soon as he turned fifteen. Guess the kid knew what he wanted to do, from such a young age. Forrest found that hard to imagine, for even now, sometimes he struggled with the idea of being a Magic Knight and what that meant to him. He tilted his head at hearing about a spar with the Captain, a smaller smile did escape onto his lips. [break][break] He could hardly imagine what hell new recruits would go through if they had to spar with the Captain of the Crimson Lion. He supposed that it was just difficult for any prospective Magic Knight to if it was how that normally occurred. [break][break] As for how he’d joined the Order… [break][break] His own mind simply drew a blank. But it was a rather strange feeling, he knew there was a memory there that explained how and why he joined the Magic Knights. [break][break] But he just couldn’t reach it. [break][break]“I guess I’ll ask the same question to you Forrest, how long have you been a Knight?” [break][break] Forrest didn’t immediately reply. Maybe his hesitation was unexpected, but it wasn’t an easy question to answer. Should he answer truthfully? Would the kid have known or cared any way? Forrest had no reason to lie, but at the same time, any answer he gave just felt… empty. [break][break] Under his palm, Stump stirred, but the sleeping spirit still lay relatively undisturbed. [break][break] It was a hard question, he should have expected it since he’d thrown it at the boy. Forrest took a deep breath, closing his eyes. A smile did escape onto his lips, but it held no real emotion. “I’m told it was during the Four-Year’s War with Diamond was when I joined the Crimson Lion. To someone like you, you’d probably just barely remember the War. It was… several years ago.” [break][break] Several years ago, what a vague way to recall the time. If he did his math correctly, Forrest himself would have been just a little older than Chisana, around seventeen, maybe eighteen. He was told now that he was twenty-six, almost twenty-seven. [break][break] It was nearly a decade worth of memories. And to Forrest, they were all gone. [break][break] “The thing is, I… don’t really remember any of it.” Forrest admitted to the young Bull. “The Shatter, a few months ago, it affected a lot of people. And I ended up in a coma for a few weeks.” [break][break] “When I woke up, I didn’t remember anything about my life at all. My name, my position, even my magic, all had to be told to me.” [break][break] What a strange thing it was, to admit aloud. Everyone he’d already talked to was well aware of his condition. He was prepared for the young boy to see him in a different light now that he’d such things to him. It was like that with people, how they wanted to be careful around him. Forrest didn’t blame them, he supposed that if he’d met someone under the same circumstances being ‘careful’ was about the kindest thing they could do for them.

Chisana watched the young crimson lion in front of him seem to hesitate as he appeared to fight with himself on answering what Chisana had assumed was an innocent question, Chisana’s body slightly tensed not so much it would be noticeable but he wasn’t sure if he had just stepped on an emotional land mine trap. It had been a purely involuntary reaction and he logically didn’t think Forrest would out of the blue attack him for asking the same question back to him but the sudden hesitation for some reason put Chisana on edge, luckily his fellow comrade wasn’t upset but instead was just preparing himself to reveal a pretty personal detail about himself to someone who was basically a stranger. Maybe the act of Chisana befriending the spirit had gained him more favor then intended or the lonesome lion simply wished to share his past with someone who had no knowledge or formed image of him.
Forrest explained that he had been in a coma for a few weeks due to the even that has come to be known as “The Shattering” when some powerful Daemon apparently unleashed a powerful magic but wasn’t fully successful due to the intervention of the now deceased Silas and other individuals. On top of being in a coma it seemed that the incident had caused amnesia in Forrest, which was quite a rare event to happen unless powerful magic had occurred or serious damage had been done to the brain. Chisana had very limited knowledge of this kind of injury but in his home village there was a time when a fellow farmer had been struck by his ox and had returned to the mindset of a child for the better part of the year. The family had been lucky enough to find a skilled healer and the money to pay for it thanks to the village coming together to pool the funds to fix the issue. Chisana didn’t quite see the mage in front of him as any different, the man in front of him seemed in full control of his body, magic and reasoning so hopefully that meant that his mind was undamaged and it was some kind of strong magic was just waiting for some stronger magic to dispel it.
Another tidbit of when Forrest joined the Magic Knights was that it was during the Four-Year War which took place while Chisana was still just a child. He grew up only hearing about it, their village was quite a distance from any border of the Diamond Kingdom so any news of the conflict was usually exaggerated and grossly bloated with false reports and details. Though Chisana never doubted how much horrible stuff had taken place as does with every war and the effects of the war were still being felt to this day with various bandits taking up home on the border as the villagers had abandoned the area and the Knights were still trying to rebuild and bring order back to those areas.
“First off, You were apart of the War? You look quite young I thought we were close in age. Second, I hope that you are able to recover you memories soon. I don’t know how it feels to have to be told who you are, where you are and everything all over again. I feel like that would be quite frightening and lonesome. You must be quite the strong individual to be able to keep pushing forward. Thank you for telling me such a personal bit of information.” Chisana said with a smile that was filled with genuine appreciation and respect. The young Shengxiao was someone that respected those who had a strong will and the ability to adapt to their situations.
[attr="class","forresttext"] Maybe he had shared too much, he wondered if it was even appropriate for a stranger such as him to be sharing so indiscreetly with another. If anything, it again would have just any more conversation awkward and shortened the dialogue entirely. [break][break] And maybe that wasn’t so bad in the long run, it wasn’t as if Forrest was keen on quote ‘making friends’ with others. People he happened to know were just that, acquaintances, and with his bout of amnesia… every person was indeed a new person to him. [break][break] Should he have cared anyway? [break][break] He supposed he found the young Bull’s comments somewhat amusing, if anything else, stating that he looked far younger than he actually was. The wood mage had half a mind to believe that maybe the daemon’s had had a hand in making him that way as well. Though, maybe it was simply just how he looked. He’d only been told he was in his late twenties, who’s to say he was actually younger? [break][break] But the further comments enlightened him in a different manner, so much so, he wasn’t sure how to initially take them. The strength to move on and keep moving forward? It seemed all a bit optimistic from Forrest’s point of view. [break][break] Though maybe optimism wasn’t actually so bad either. [break][break] ‘Thanks, I supposed that even after the Daemon’s took my memories, they still left me with my good looks.” It was a cheeky reply at first, one that obviously poked fun at Forrest’s own rather soft appearance. It was something he’d never really thought that much about, but perhaps it was time to just be amused at his luck of naturally looking youthful. [break][break] “And thank you again, But I doubt I deserve praise about my strength or resolve, I’ve always accepted what happened to me as fact, with nothing else I’ve been able to do to change it.” Forrest nodded, then looking down to his spirit that was sleeping peacefully on his lap. [break][break]
“On the other hand, you seem like a capable young man.” Forrest turned back to Chisana once again. “It’s not my place to say it, but I’m sure you’ve already made your Captain and your fellow Knights proud.” [break][break] Wishful thinking as it was, Forrest did genuinely feel as if the young man deserved praise.
Post by Chisana Shengxiao on Jan 13, 2021 0:03:38 GMT -5
Chisana smiled at Forrest’s kind words and praise. Captain Malcolm practiced the purest form of tough love and any compliment that came from his vice captain tended to be about how well he was looking at that time. Chisana never seemed to do any kind of actual training with his vice Captain the more he thought about it, it was something that he would have to fix when he got back to the base. Looking to the sky he realized that quite a lot of time had passed since he ran into Forrest and he still needed to make it the village to complete the task that was given to him by the Captain.
“I’m sorry for the suddenness, but I have to depart. I still got a task I need to get done and I would rather not have to deal with the punishment that would follow my failure. I hope you understand.” Chisana would explain to the Crimson Lion as he picked himself up off the ground and patted off his clothes. He looked towards the way he was going knowing that that had to be the direction he needed to go, it was like his mind was refreshed from taking such a small break. It was definitely something that Chisana needed with all his work that he kept pushing himself to do. “I hope we get to chat again soon, If you are ever in Sosshi come stop by the Base and I can show you around the area. Bring the little one with you of course we can see how many sweets it can eat next time.” Chisana would say as he begun jogging away from the clearing waving to his newly acquired friend. [Exit]
[attr="class","forresttext"] He hoped he said something worthwhile. Even if his life was a mystery to mostly himself, he still had the feeling that he was something of an old soul. That was alright, though because, in the end, he did feel a little better. Having some conversation with someone new did help him think in a new light. [break][break] And so the young Bull said he needed to depart, likely return to the other members of his squad, and that was alright with Forrest. As Chisana said his goodbyes, Stump stirred in Forrest’s lap, perhaps noticing that his newfound ‘friend’ was making his leave. Rubbing its eyes with its stubby arms, Stump floated freely to about Forrest’s head level.
