She recoiled back from Verena moving away, with a comment of avoiding touch, she wanted to respect that at least, "Ah, I understand. I shant pry from thee any further information on the matter. Mayhap one day, for now, I will admire from afar."
When pressed on the topic of why she was attacked, she rubbed the back of her neck, "That...makes up a complicated story that would take ages to tell the full thing," her little act dropped as she became more serious on the matter, "Here's the thing. I used to be bad, but, because I don't want to anymore, they aren't keen on letting me go, with the information I have on them, and wanting my special healing powers."
She turned away and looked off in the general direction of Spade Kingdom, "Let's just say this: I was a bad thief, working for them as support. Now I'm a good thief. I want to take back everything they took and give it to the people. I want to make sure they know that I am the greatest thief to ever live." She turned around and gave a cheeky thumbs up and a wink to Verena.
"What better way to be the best thief in the world than to steal from the greatest thieves to date? All the money I can get back will go to the people. I just wanna make sure that they know that it'll be my name going down in the history books!" She then gave one deep bow to Verena.
"That said, I should skedaddle before more show up and cause anyone else some trouble. Here's hoping we meet again in the basin or elsewhere, hopefully someplace where we can talk longer! Fare thee well oh wonderful one!" With that, Cecile gave a wave and saw herself off.

Admire from afar? Verena was confused. Why would she want to do that? There was nothing admirable about a coward like herself. Besides, she made it a point to hide her figure and her face under normal circumstances specifically to avoid being 'admired'. It would bring unwanted attention. Not to mention, that feeling was always...[break][break]
Cecile explained that the story would take too long, but did give a short little explanation. "Used to be... bad?" Verena rhetorically asked, somewhat surprised by this revelation.[break][break]
"Uhm... I must respectfully disagree with that sentiment... forgive me for doing so, but... if you were able to see the error of your ways, that doesn't mean you 'used' to be bad. It means you were always inherently 'good', but were led astray. Bad people will always be bad. But I believe people are inherently good, so if they can see the error of their ways, even if they made mistakes in the process, doesn't that just mean their true nature is to be good?" she asked, before taking a moment to stop and think about her next words carefully.[break][break]
"...but I feel that you're going about it the wrong way still. Theft is theft, is it not? Even if you're taking back what was stolen, you'll inevitably drag unwanted parties into things, and innocent people will get hurt. The best course of action would be to inform the Magic Knights, even if done anonymously."[break][break]
Verena politely bowed as Cecile made her departure. For the time being, Verena would help the bookstore owner and see what she could do about helping with the damage. After all, she couldn't save every book, and there was still the matter of properly returning the books she had brought outside.
