He threw a punch, one she knew she had to dodge and barely managed to do so before trying to manoeuvre around and kick him. But he caught her leg and leaned close, giving her that traditional wolfish grin of his. [break][break] Oh the Captain of the Black Bulls and his 11 or so years of superior combat experience. One way or another, Rosalia Boreas always ended up at his mercy, as he managed to pin her under him. Then he told her that she had to try again tomorrow if she felt lucky. She tried to smack him off of her as she tried to catch her breath. [break][break] “You’re such a dick.” [break][break] In response, as usual, she just received a wink. Ah Malcolm Watanabe and his cocky charm. It was one of the things that made her roll her eyes around him the most, but also attracted her to ridiculous proportions in any man. The pair were both panting a little. One of them was even shirtless, while the other’s hair had little strands of grass, dirt and droplets of sweat all over her. Rosa’s first priority once in her room, was to take a nice steaming shower to warm her naturally cool body. [break][break] The water hit her pale curves and evaporated into the air, heating her skin up and making her sigh pleasantly as she rubbed shampoo all over her dirty hair. It was her day off, and yet she’d spent the morning of it sparring with her best friend. [break][break] When Rosalia walked out of the shower she got dressed into an everyday all black trench coat, boots and leggings. They looked good on her, so why not? It was then that she heard a knock on her door. Walking over, hair still dripping wet, Rosalia opened her door and cocked an eyebrow at the messenger. [break][break] Unrest at Sosshi. Scared children…a haunted house? Had the Eldritch Hat recovered again? [break][break] With a sigh, the beauty said she’d handle it and, after grabbing a scrunchie off of her cupboard, the Vice Captain of the Black Bulls was out again. Rosalia didn’t run as it was noon, and rather strode over to the location she was informed about. A place that used to be owned by some up-and coming spice vendor that perished tragically. If there were mana beasts in there that needed taking care of, she could do that easily. [break][break] Once arriving in front of the designated location, Rosa tilted her head to one side and observed the creaking monstrosity that should’ve been called a mansion rather than a house. The wood was old and the iron was rusted. The whole area was permeated in dark mana, like a miasma of some kind, making the ex-swimsuit model shake her head. Yeah…this wasn’t sexy at all. But what could the beauty do? A request was a request, and she was inhabiting this city now as a high-ranking representative of the Magic Knight Squads. [break][break] With a little sigh, the witch pulled out her scrunchie and pulled her hair up into a tight ponytail as she got ready to get down to business.
"This place again..." Esart spoke out as he flew over Sosshi with a well dressed man in a suit flew him over it on a broom. "Sir Esart, are you sure you want to do this? Last time you were here you came back to with so many complaints." Peers spoke to one of his many masters as he flew him over the town. "I'll be fine, Peers. I was only so full of complaints because I had to deal with what I thought were some unthankful people which I will be attempting to avoid this time around or I will give them a reason to be thankful to me. Simple as that." Esart replied to the butler and Peers silently gave a retort with a simple nod before he flew down into the city. Unlike the last time the young Silva noble was brought into town he had a place in mind that he wanted to go to and directed his butler to take him there. Peers took it upon himself to be well versed in the towns and cities in the area of Clover so he knew exactly where they were going. A small amount of time later the duo arrived at what looked like a worn down house on the outskirts of the town. It looked as though no one had been there in ages but the rumors circling around it would state otherwise.
Esart would jump off of the broom his faithful servant had flown him on and stand in front of the rumored haunted house. "Take care and may you be graced with good luck, Sir." Peers spoke out as Esart got off of the broom. "Thank you, Peers. I will send for you when I need a way back home." The Silva would speak and then his servant would fly off into the air, most likely heading back to the Town of Silva where the Silva family resided. Esart stared at the building looking for anything suspicious but could only really make out that it was run down and old. It looked as if no one had been cleaned the home in years which was something a noble like Esart was not used to at all being a part of one of the main noble houses. He moved closer to the building but suddenly stopped and held his arm up to block his nose from catching the smell that came from the building which resembled a mix of old cabbage and eggs. "Ugh... I may have this building taken down after I am done here for having such a fowl stench to it. Maybe the town's people will be praise me simply for that." He mumbled to himself which had become a common occurrence for him recently. He got to the front door of the building and his manners kicked in causing him to go to knock on the door which he quickly prevented himself from doing and then rolled his eyes. If anyone was in this building then they deserved to have someone just barge in or at least he thought that due to how they took care of their home. He tried the door knob to see if it was unlocked and found that it was. He then opened the door and moved into the home. The smell was stronger inside of the home causing Esart to grunt in displeasure from it all but it did not stop him from moving forward.
The home was as tattered as it looked outside with a plethora of things being thrown about and cob webs everywhere. He stood in front of a staircase that lead up to a darkened second floor with two doorways that lead to the the other sides of the house on his sides. He looked between each path and made a decision to head to the right which lead him into the kitchen which had old decaying food sitting on a table which Esart quickly was able to figure out was the source of the smell that was in the area. "Disgusting..." He spoke out in a low voice as he looked over the kitchen. He then heard the sound of a door slamming and quickly went back to the entrance of the home where he found that the front door had been shut. He attempted to open the door but found that it was somehow locked. "What could have done this? Ghosts are not real so someone has to be in this house and is watching me." He thought to himself as he looked around the area around him. He did not see anything where he came from or to his left but when he looked up to the top of the stairs he saw a shadowy figure of what looked to be a young woman. She did not speak to him but just stood there staring at him it looked like. "Hello? Did you lock this door? I am here investigating the rumors of this disgusting place. Do you live here somehow?" He questioned her but she did not respond at all giving the young Silva a weird feeling. "Who ar-" He started to speak but before he could finish the figure vanished causing him to grow a worried feeling. He did not know if she possessed some sort of magic that could allow her to be a threat to him or not. He had potentially barged into her home after all which he knew most people would not take well. "Where did you go, Miss? I just wanted to ask-" He spoke out as he took a couple steps up the stairs but stopped both his movement and his speaking as he felt something threatening behind him. He pulled out his grimoire and quickly turned around where he was brought face to face with a woman with long dark hair covering her face. Before he could do more she suddenly seemed to teleport in front of him and let out a freakishly loud scream causing Esart to drop his grimoire and clutch at his ears from how loud it was, as well as fall on his rear and shut his eyes. The screaming would stop suddenly and he would look up quickly finding that he was alone. "What... was... that...?" He questioned himself out loud as a feeling of dread came over him. All of his thoughts shifted to one single thought; "Am I really in a haunted house?!"
Tying hair was usually a speedy process, especially for one who did it daily, yet in the time that this had happened, Rosalia had heard a voice come from inside of the wreck of building, as well as a very high-pitch female scream. One that, had she not already dealt with banshees, ghouls, dragons and evil witch hats, probably would’ve made her nervous. The facts were, that the Vice-Captain of the Black Bulls was still high on adrenaline from her earlier sparring session with Malcolm, and just wanted to get back home and actually do leisurely things on her day off. Like read a book. Or shop. Or drink. Or have sex. Or just chat with her best friend and Captain as they made dinner for the squad. Sometimes she felt that they were like parents for a very rowdy family of 13-year olds…other times she felt like her Captain enjoyed toying with her particularly well when he also turned into one of those 13 year olds and tore down the base sparring with Chisana. [break][break] He, of course, handled her sighs and shouting with the goddamn confidence and lack of care that only the true Captain of the Black Bulls could. Fucking Malcolm Watanabe.
[break][break] With a shaking of her head and a hand on her grimoire, the beauty’s heels clicked against the rotting wooden planks of the staircase to the entrance door. She placed her hand on the doorknob to try and turn it so she could enter, but to no avail. It seemed stuck. With a small sigh, Rosalia dipped into her mana, dropping the temperature around her close to zero as ice grew upon the doorknob and around it. The witch waited for a few second before stepping back and kicking straight through the frozen zone, sending the doorknob flying into the house, before she slid the door open with a hair flip.
[break][break] “The benefits of the element.” She murmured under her lips with a dark chuckle as her heels clicked into house. Her ruby hues scanned through the area before landing on a rather shaken looking silver-haired young man. He was very handsome, and her eyes slid over his whole body once before returning to his face. My my my… curiouser and curiouser.
[break][break] “I must admit, out of all of the bullshit I expected to find in this house, you uh…don’t fit that description.” She said with a little smirk, as she admired him. There was something about the posture and the structure of the face that screamed noble…she just wasn’t quite certain which one of the families yet. Minor or Main? The beauty pursed her lips as she let the cool air her mana left behind waft into the house before she took in the situation of the haunted house. Her nose twitched at the smell and she instantly went over to the source, forgetting herself for the moment as she came face to face with the mess in the kitchen. It was decaying… She covered her nose as she observed what the decomposing products actually were…
[break][break] Rats? Rosalia’s eyes narrowed. And giant moths, and cats…her gaze then slid down to a particularly large body that seemed to be stuffed underneath the kitchen sink, and she sighed. The beauty coated her fingertips with ice as she started pulling the decomposing body out on the floor, before feeling a cold shiver run up her spine. Something was watching her. As she turned to look around, she only caught a brief glance of something shadowy before it disappeared.
[break][break] “Oi…” Her voice cracked through the silent air, calling out to the man in the living room. “I’m gonna go on a limb and assume you’re here to check this place out the way I am…so what was that scream about?” She asked, as she waited for the man to come into her peripheral vision before she continued to pull the body out from under the sink. The Vice-Captain wanted to have someone who was able to look around as she got on with her task.
[break][break] A little laugh wanted to escape her lips. Ex-supermodel Rosalia Boreas, one of the most sought-after bachelorettes in the kingdom…was dealing with dead human corpses. The irony. The witch expected most of the men that had proposed to her to faint at the smell in the house, and if they survived the sight of this brutalized human body…well… She listened to the man instead, curious as to what his side of the story is. She’d then look up at him and give him a little grin.
[break][break] “I’m Rosalia, of the Black Bulls.” She made no mention of her Vice-Captain title. That still felt really awkward. She was just a commoner who loved magic. The red-haired mage stood up and stepped back looking down at the brutalized body. The body of a young child. A girl of about 8 or so… She’d shed the layer of ice that she’d summoned out with her mana, to keep her hands clean as she pointed to the most interesting finds on the body.
[break][break] “The liver is gone…” She voiced, pointing out the gaping whole to the bottom of the chest. Her mind swirled through the possibilities of what could’ve done this. Her ruby eyes sparked with curiosity as she met the nobleman’s eyes and took out her grimoire. There was claw marks all over the body of the child. “The creature can cut from skin into muscle…so sharp claws…” Rosalia sighed as the nerd inside of her was rummaging through her memory library of mythological monsters, nighttime creatures and manabeasts that could so such a thing. The factor that really narrowed it down was that the monster had attacked a young girl. Which meant that it was either still growing, or smaller than an average human and didn’t trust itself with targets of that size.
[break][break] “If the place is haunted with a creepy screaming spirit…I’d have to inform you that we’re not only dealing with it. The thing that made her this way is probably also in here with us.” Her voice was one of minor annoyance. And she quickly flipped her grimoire over to a specific page, letting her icy cold mana surround both herself and her partner for the day.
[break][break] “Essence of Winter.” She murmured, letting an invisible mana-shield surround each of them. She gave the white-haired male a little wink. “Just for safety’s sake. If the shit jumps out at us.”

Before the young Silva could completely comprehend things the doorknob of the entrance door froze over. Esart stared at it for a few seconds trying to figure out if it was real or not with everything that he had just dealt with. His thoughts would run rampant with what exactly was going on but would come to a focus when the doorknob suddenly flew across the room and landed at the bottom of the stairs. The door then slid open and a woman walked through the door. He noticed that she was dressed in a very provocative way compared to what he was used to women wearing. He was still sitting on the stairs from the fright he had dealt with earlier so upon seeing her he quickly got himself up to a standing position and dusted himself off. He could not look like he was some weakling in the face of others at all. His pride as a Silva would not allow him to do such. "The benefits of what?" He spoke out as he dusted himself off and tried to not look as though he had just been in a fear filled state. He noticed that the woman gave him a certain look that he was not used to. "I wasn't expecting anyone to bust into this place at all. Though I also wasn't expecting a horrid looking girl to scream in my face either..." He spoke with the last sentence being in a lower tone because he was speaking his mind out loud. The woman seemed to not be completely listening to him and after catching the whiff of the scent that engulfed the building, she went into the kitchen where Esart had been earlier and found the rotted food. "I wen-" He tried to speak but the woman had quickly went into the kitchen before he could get his words out. He continued to dust himself off and turned to look at the top of the stairs again where he had earlier seen the figure of the girl. There was nothing there this time but a eerie feeling came over him. It was as if there were eyes following his every move but he pushed himself through the feeling as he heard the woman call out.
He walked towards the kitchen and held his arm over his nose so that he didn't get a good smell of the area as he spoke out to her and answered her. "I came here after hearing of the rumors and wanted to find out if they were true but either way get to the bottom of things and stop what was going on. That scream earlier.. It was.." He sighed and contemplated not telling her but decided that he would seeing as she could help him find out what was going on with her earlier show of magic. ".. It was a ghost or at least I think it was. It was a girl that was in one place one second and then in front of me the next where she shrieked into my face." He would quickly realized what she was doing when he arrived in the kitchen. "Is that...?!" He managed to get out as he saw what she had found. He could not believe he had missed the body earlier and could only stare in disgust as the woman moved the body for them to look over. "I looked in here earlier but I didn't notice this at all. What could have done that to her?" He would question what they saw but she would return his question with a grin and introduce herself. Her introduction made him quickly feel how impolite he had been earlier with not introducing himself and he gave a short bow to her before speaking. "Sorry. I should have introduced myself earlier. I am Esart Silva. Nice to meet you, Rosalia. You are from the Black Bulls? The worst squad in the magic knights? How is someone who looks like you a part of that disaster of a group?" He did not realize just what he had said with such contempt at first which was a sign of his lineage but after realized he continued. "Sorry. I just have not heard great things from that squad."
He felt as though she had ignored him as her attention had went back to the body that she had found. "The liver is missing? That is interesting. Wouldn't a creature just eat the entire body and not leave much left besides bones?" He was confused by how mangled the body looked but for the liver to be missing. She went on to say the creature had sharp claws that could easily rip through skin. He continued to listen to her as she came to the conclusion that they were dealing with more than just a ghost but the creature that had maimed the body near them. "We should keep our ey-Whoa!" He started to speak but stopped as he realized that a icy aura came up around his body which she followed up with saying that it was a spell of her to help protect him. He noticed she had the same spell over her body now too. "Good. We don't know what we are running into yet after all. So where should we start?" He asked just before the sound of something moving in the room across from them could be heard along with some sort of loud panting from some sort of creature. Esart cautiously left the kitchen and made his way to the doorway that lead into the room across from them. He silently signaled the Vice Captain to follow him as he looked into the room and saw a white creature that looked lanky and tall with small horns and large claws. He could not understand what it was but a thought of what it could be came from a dream he had after hearing a horror story from one of his family members. "A wendigo?!" He thought to himself but did not know how to react at all at the sight of the creature.
Rosalia found the way the man dusted himself and stood up almost as entertaining as the way he’d caught her muttering about her element. She hadn’t expected anyone else to be within the establishment, to be honest. [break][break] “The elemental affinity…mine’s ice.” The beauty explained over her shoulder before entering the kitchen. She raised an eyebrow at his response to her. A horrid looking girl? Perhaps, this would be a nice piece of the puzzle needed to explain whatever the fuck was happening inside of this house. It was much bigger that what she’d initially expected. Haunting spirits can’t leave the establishment they’re locked to…That’s how it worked with the elven banshees, at least. But if this thing was going out of its way to find, kill and stash human beings…then there was a very good reason for a magic knight to be called to take a look. Sosshi was her current home, after all. It would be silly if she didn’t help the citizens. [break][break] Rosa listened carefully to the man’s words before nodding. It made sense for other people to be sent over in aiding with dangerous mana beasts…or cursed humans. The daemon invasion was causing way too many problems for the magic knights to be able to handle them alone. Citizen magic users had also stepped in, providing much-needed help, and she smiled softly to herself at that. There was a brief moment of recollection of her own citizen days… [break][break] “Yeah…it’s a corpse alright…of a young girl. What a gruesome death…” The Ice mage muttered and shook her head at his question. It could be many things that could’ve done so. It could be a Striga… she listed off in her mind, referring to the children that were cursed while in their mother’s womb and then became cursed beings after a miscarriage. [break][break] As she spoke with the man, her shoulders tensed visibly at his last name. A Silva? Of course, it made sense now. The posture, the manner of speaking, the physical features. Rosa quickly shook off her prejudices about nobles and…then they came right back when he asked about her affiliation to the Black Bulls, calling them the “worst squad in the Magic Knights.” A sudden tension would rise in the air, and the temperature would drop further, making the horrible smell of rotting flesh almost dissipate as she’d froze some part of the body over with her touch. It hadn’t been intentional, and she sighed softly. [break][break] “I don’t know what my looks have to with my chosen affiliation.” She commented, casually, keeping his apology in mind but pursing her lips nonetheless. Sure, she had been on the cover of all of the largest fashion magazines for four years or so, but Rosalia’s previous modelling work was an underpaid surface-level job that could only satisfy her so much. “If it makes you feel better, I used to be a part of the Blue Roses. They just don’t look to well on women who like to have tons of sex.” The ice mage chuckled lowly, a wolfish grin coming upon her glossy lips once more. Ah…the good old days of bad stares at her ex-Rague base. They still left a bad taste in the witch’s mouth. Her ruby eyes continued to scan the body. A young Vampiric Beast, trying to test its strength against different pray? [break][break] As Rosalia stood up, her mind was still wondering around through her monstrous vocabulary of Mana Beasts and Magic monsters that could do such a thing. Valencias? They loved little kids. But they preferred killing boys. She turned to face Esart. “You have a pretty name, Lord Silva.” She gave him a bow, those habits that had been forced onto her by her “brothers” could never been fully erased, despite Silas Vermillion, despite Zaven Blake…they were there, like painful memories. “In all seriousness, though…I don’t know what goes around the Capital, but the Black Bulls have been over performing recently. We still enjoy getting drunk and having a blast, but we’re pretty serious about our work.” The grin grew into something of warmth, and she gave him a little flirtatious wink. “Home is where the heart is.” Her voice was like a summer breeze, light and feathery before she tore her eyes away from him. “If you don’t believe me, feel free to watch the next Star Festival. We’re sure to blow it out of the water.” And she was confident about it too. [break][break] She raised her head and met his pretty eyes with her nonchalant gaze. He was surprised about her defensive spell, and in all honesty, she found it rather cute. Brovoros? The claw marks weren’t deep enough. But what about a-? [break][break] Her train of thought was cut off when she heard the weird sound from the room not too far off of them. What was that? Panting? It certainly wasn’t sexual. The mage watched Esart suddenly go into what she called “quiet undercover” mode and bit back her smile as she followed him. She wore heels, so it was a very difficult task, considering the red-head loved attracting attention. Her eyes however, narrowed as the mana beast came into her view. Just their luck. [break][break] Rosalia glanced at Esart, but he seemed quite befumbled at the sight in front of him, causing the Vice-Captain of the Black Bulls to bite her tongue. She wanted to tease the man. He certainly wasn’t young enough to call a boy…no, he was attractive to her. But there was some part of her that made her wonder why he was so surprised about the creature. Did he not get out much? From what she knew, the Silvas were very strict about upbringing. [break][break] And in that moment, the pale creature turned its burning orange gaze towards the pair, making the female’s grimoire flip a few pages over. “Frostbite.” She muttered, letting a whip of black ice appear in her right hand, while the second one tied over her thigh for safety reasons. The wendigo let out a high-pitched screech that made Rosalia wince. Its body fully turned towards the pair and jumped onto the staircase, before jumping straight at the whip-holding witch. It was fast! Her shield from earlier was quickly breached by its long claws, as it dug into her mana skin. Her eyes narrowed. And strong. [break][break] She rolled away from it as it landed just by Esart, but not before cracking her whip out at the wendigo, wrapping it around the abomination’s torso and thrusting it into the nearby kitchen wall with no problem. Dust lifted into the air, blocking the pair’s sight. If she could lift it, it was surprisingly light for its size… [break][break] “Move before it gets up! The shit is not messing around!” She hissed at Esart as she pulled her whip back. The thing could jump out at any moment. Out of all of the fucking cursed black magic that someone could’ve cast onto themselves! Why the fuck would anyone want to turn into this?! [break][break] Her sparkling crimson gaze turned into cold hard ruby as her jaw tightened. She was in work mode. No more mistakes. [break][break]

The young Silva was not ready at all for the sight of the monster. He had never seen one of them in person which brought a terror through his bones that he could not get around. It wasn't that he was scared of the creature but that the shock of seeing it caused his mind to race with what to do next but his body was frozen and would not respond at all. Thoughts of reading one of the many books that he had in his locked room when he was held like a prisoner by his family, came to his mind. It reminded him of just what the creature was complete with pictures as well as personal stories. Both the stories and pictures haunted his dreams for weeks after that. His body did not react when the wendigo screeched and then jumped past them onto the staircase before jumping down to at his new found partner. "Move! Attack it! Move already!" He yelled at himself inside of his own head but all he could muster was turning his head to look at the beast just as it landed near him. Its clawed hand moved up above Esart and was about to slam down onto him. The clawed limb would start to swipe through the air but would suddenly be prevented from hitting him as the beast was wrenched violently through the nearby wall and into the kitchen. Rosalia's voice somehow caused him to break out of his mental trance as the creature could be heard scuffling around the debris that it had been put under from being thrown through a wall. "Ye...Yeah." He was able to speak out as he regained himself and his thoughts started to focus more on what needed to be done. "Wher-" He started to speak but was cut off as the beast burst through the rubble it was under and lunged towards her. There was no time for questions or anything else in his mind as he rushed in front of her pulling out his grimoire and quickly summoning a mass of mercury that took up the shape of a large sword that slammed into the body of the wendigo and sent it through the entrance of the home, taking the door with it again causing more dust to form where the beast was sent flying. The mercury stayed the shape of a sword after his attack. He did not know exactly what caused him to act in such a way suddenly without much thought, especially for someone he barely knew. Was her flirting getting to him or was it some sort of chivalrous pride that overcame him? He didn't know or take up the time to figure it out with what they were dealing with. "Sorry about earlier. I won't freeze up like that again." He spoke while keeping his focus on the door. "Wendigos are predators that will hunt their meals down viciously. I think we are considered to be the prey as of now too." He started to explain but stopped when there was no sound of the creature at all.
"It should be yelping in pain after both of our spells, right?" He questioned her and almost as if on some sort of que the beast would burst through now open door with its claw extended. Its speed was different from earlier which was probably because it took its time to move this time over just rushing out of some rubble. Esart put up his sword to block the claw but it was met with too much force and the claw powered through his mercury. Esart attempted to move backward to avoid the attack but was too slow as the claws ripped into his mana skin quickly getting rid of it. The attack would have been much worse if he did not move but that didn't mean it was some sort of push over as even through his mana skin there still were cuts through his clothes and skin. The beast would then continue its attack on Esart with another claw moving towards him too fast for the Silva to dodge.
Rosalia had not noticed the way the Silva froze up upon seeing the monster. To her this was natural. This was what a Magic Knight was. It had been her life for almost three years now. This thing couldn’t compare to the beastie from Atlantis. The beauty squinted as dust lifted up from the wall where she’d made the thing crash. She listened, and as it lunged towards her she was ready. But her waiting was rewarded with a valiant knight in the form of Esart, who moved ahead of her and knocked the beast out of the house with surprising ease. Perhaps the Wendigo was lighter than what it initially seemed to be. It was rather bone-y, after all. [break][break] The focus that the Vice-Captain of the Black Bulls had quickly moved to the most surprising new target of her interest, Esart’s magic. Silver? Her ruby hues watched with curiosity, no. Silvas only had liquid magics, everyone knew that. She tilted her head gently to one side. The only molten metal that she knew of was…
[break][break] “It’s alright. You’re not dead, so I’m doing my job right.” Her response to his apology was a chuckle. It was joke, but also the partial truth. The Black Bulls already seemed to have had to deal with one dead child in Sosshi, she didn’t want to see the look on Malcolm’s face is a fucking Silva died too. Rosalia listened to the brief explanation about Wendigos and nodded. She was a nerd at heart and had only read brief passages about these creatures ‘existence.
[break][break] When he asked her about whether or not the monster should be in a lot of pain after their spells the ice witch raised an eyebrow. She hadn’t really been aiming to kill, but clearly there was a necessity for that right about now. Her eyes could only widen briefly when the Wendigo rushed back in, sharp claws aimed at Esart.
[break][break] Fuck. The boy wasn’t having a good time after the first strike.
[break][break] A soft exhale. The earlier panic and frustration of the dark magic…she let it freeze over and drop below the surface. Her ice had never really been pure either. A part of her just wanted to level the place. Freeze it all. And she could. But Esart was around.
[break][break] Before the second strike hit it’s mark Rosalia huffed a quick “Essence of Winter "spell, letting the current sweep over their shapes defensively once more. A shield that would perfectly block the attack before a bashful little grin spread over the ex-super model’s lips. The shield would intern get a single strike out at the Wendigo, roughing the art it was attacking with up before shattering.
[break][break] “The prey that this abomination of nature is hunting down right now, is an apex predator. And it needs to be taught a lesson.” The witch hissed as she lashed out with her whip, striking it across the cheek and into the side of the stairs to the upper floor. It was looking pretty brutalized. It lifted itself up easily as Rosalia walked over slowly to the door, creating a thin sheet of ice over it to block the path to escape. “We’re not trapped in with it. It’s trapped in with us.” Her grin widened.
[break][break] “So I hope you have a lighter on you, because the only way to purify the human souls off of this thing is either fire or holy water. And I have none. Then again, we have to pin it down first.” The beauty would dispel her whips and stretch as the Wendigo clawed around the room, circling the pair. “Here, grab one of these and aim for its shoulders.” She said, summoning her Fangs of Frost under her breath just before she had to duck and roll away from one hell of a leap. The beauty wanted it pinned and purified, not dead.

Description:Rosalia creates a single lance out of black ice with serated edges. The lance can be used as a held weapon or be thrown at a creature. Allies are allowed to pick up the lance without taking damage and whoever is holding it gets +9 to their Power stat. Once the lance is embedded into an enemy it deals intermediate damage and gets stuck there. Upon removal it deals intermediate damage once more due to the ice magic’s cutting ability and the shape of the weapon. The spell is modeled after one of Vulkan Rinvol’s as the pair spent time training together but modified to fit Rosalia’s more ally-based fighting style.
This spell goes off of the projectiles/ammo/occurrences/ rules based on a mage’s control.
The spell cannot deal 2x intermediate damage with the same spear in the same post.[break][break]
White Knight: Those with this skill can cause their defensive based spells and abilities cleanse debuffs. This mechanic works in the same fashion as healing does when removing debuffs.

Description: Rosalia summons forth a living barrier of gentle pale ice that swirls around herself and several allies of her choice. The barrier acts as an intermediate level defense spell that glistens under the sun, protecting the target from damage. If an enemy gets close enough to attack, however, the ice in the barrier will strike out against them, dealing intermediate damage and turning black.

Esart was completely caught off guard by the sudden speed of the wendigo. Its rage seemed to fuel it with more power and ferocity which was not something he was used to fighting against at all. He had trained himself to dodge and weave in attacks when he could when his enemy had gotten too close but that was against regular people and not against the movements of a rabid creature like he was dealing with. He knew he would not be able to dodge the next attack as the speed of the creature was too fast but moved on to the next best thing which was an attempt to stunt its attempt to claw through him by shooting off a bullet of mercury at his enemy. The attack landed but the beast did not stop in its charge at all and its claw ripped through the air hitting Esart. The young Silva's eyes would widen as he knew he had been hit by the attack but he would grow more confused as a ice flew out towards the beast and stunning it for a short time. He would feel over his body as he would feel a cold sensation like he had felt earlier from his Rosalia's spell. He put the pieces together in his head that he was saved by her and quickly moved back towards her and away from the beast who had been repelled shortly by her attack. "Thank you, Rosalia. I have only read about wendigos so I never knew they could be so ferocious." He spoke out just before she started to talk about how they needed to show it who had the authority there. "You are right. This thing needs to be shown its place..." He added to her quips she had said and allowed his Silva blood to shine through again through his words. "Fire or holy water? I'm not a priest or anything so that is not something I have on my person. Maybe something like that will be in this house...?" He questioned but was brought out of his thought once Rosalia offered him a lance made of ice. "You want me to use that to atta-" He was cut off from his sentence as he was forced to dodge the wendigo's attack again after it recovered from her restraining it. His hand happened to be held out to the lance and it was dropped into his hand while they dodged which caused him to feel the heaviness of it. He was not used to wielding weapons at all besides his mercury created weapons which he was used to the peculiar weight of but wielding something else felt very much different to him.
Even though the weight was different to him he did not lag behind in his dodging of the attacks. The beast had slowed down after taking the plethora of attacks from the duo so it was not as hard for the young Silva. The issue he was having was finding an opening to pierce the creature in order for them to purify it. He knew he would have to get creative so as he moved around he thought of his next move. "Rosalia, follow my lead." He had not had much practice with working with others but like most things in his life he knew that he would have to learn how to be proficient with it. He only hoped that his female companion was better at it than him while he moved in to get closer to the beast while holding the lance out in front of him. The beast would jump back realizing that Esart would skewer it otherwise. The silver haired young man would then change tactics completely and hold the lance above his head and throw it with all of his might towards his enemy. The wendigo would then dodge the attack by jumping to the side and rush back in towards Esart who was ready for the erratic creature with a mass of mercury that he would form into a whip and unleash towards the creature in a horizontal arc. The wendigo would duck under the whip and aim to unleash its claws on the body of the young Esart but what it didn't know was Esart's whip of mercury had wrapped around the lance and he quickly attempted to pull both towards the back of the wendigo. The problem was that he would reach his attacker too late before the lance had a chance to hit the creature. All he could do was hope that his trust in the Black Bull squad member would pay off and she would find a way to help him before he was ripped apart.
Rosalia was pleased that she’d been able to at least somewhat protect the young nobleman. Her eyes narrowed as the Wendigo took a stance back and she briefly glanced over Esart to inspect his wounds. They weren’t fatal. Thank god. [break][break] “Of course they’re ferocious. They’re not natural. They’re selfish creatures of dark magic that only live to feed and satisfy themselves.” Her voice was an annoyed hiss. It had broken through her shield, which meant that it was even stronger that she thought. It was fast and strong, but incredibly frail and bad at defending itself. The beauty had thrown out her lance after it had made another leap to attack them, hitting it in the shoulder and pinning it briefly to the wall of the wooden house that they were in. His questioning of her handing him a lance was, in other circumstances, adorable. He had a lot to learn about working in a team. Perhaps now was the perfect time. [break][break] But the Wendigo broke free of her spear and pushed forwards. [break][break] After a brief pause of attacks, the boy called out to her to aid him and follow his lead. She watched him hold the ice weapon in front of himself, the pointy end forwards before she summoned her third lance and did exactly that- follow his lead. This was a learning point for someone younger than her. “Very well.” She hated following orders, but in part, she was too curious and too entertained on multiple levels to be annoyed today. Something about this worried her. Esart was brave, and bold. She bit her lip when he missed with the spear, before noticing his plan. She could only move so fast, and quickly twirled the lance over to the wendigo’s dangerous claws. It broke, but not immediately, allowing her to quite the claws away from points of central organs, and case a tear in the expensive nobleman’s clothes on the top of his shoulder and side of his ribs. [break][break] She let out a series of curses once the lance he whipped from behind impacted the wendigo straight in the chest, before quickly kicking it away. With a hit like that…as clean as that, it would be out for a while. [break][break] “Are you alright?” Rosa asked Esart, worry in her eyes. She reached down and picked the wendigo up while it was knocked out. “If so then we should take this thing to the church while we can. While its asleep. They will treat your wounds there…or at the Black Bulls base, if you feel like waiting.” The second offer was done in a more careful tone. The witch knew that while their reputation had significantly improved, the upper class still tended to scold upon seeing their mantle. She dispelled her fangs of frost, but resummoned her Frostbite whips, using them as ropes to hold the Wendigo together as they carried it to the nearby church. [break][break] Upon reaching the Holy location, the beauty would quickly and succinctly detail what had happened in the house, demanding a proper cleansing of the place. “This Silva here was key in helping me deal with the monster, but he got hurt in the process. A healer would be nice.” The beauty smiled softly at the nobleman and stayed until the beast got cleansed, turning to ash. [break][break] “We’ll have to talk to the family of the murdered child…” Her voice had gotten low as she watched. It was always the hardest part of the job. Then she’d head back to the Black Bulls base. If Esart chose to come with her, she’d treat them to some of their famous barbeque and introduce him to Charles, Chisana and whoever else was around. If not, she would give him a little salute, a grin and return home alone.
