Ah, what was he doing back home again? Takeshi looked out across that emerald blue sea, sparkling so pretty in the sunlight. The young man was resting casually against a fountain in the market square. The regular sounds of the resort-and-trading town surrounded him, and behind him was the constant spray of the fountain’s waters.

Well, the Magic Knight gig was going about as well as one would expect. He wasn’t all that for it, but it had been something of his own fault. He shivered to think of any kind of alternative punishment Aunt ‘Old-Hag’ Agatha would have thought for him. And for what? Being a little promiscuous? He was a teenager, and a male nonetheless, what did she know anything about having some fun?

Though, that merchant’s daughter's mother didn’t know about fun either.

Ironically, his parents weren’t too keen on the idea of their lovely little son being conscripted into the Order. Why did all Blakes have to fulfill some grand duty in service of their kingdom? Just when he was trying to stay as far away from all those self-sacrificing nobles and do-gooders.

Takeshi wasn’t a bad kid. He knew that well enough about himself, though most others seemed to question his intentions. He just didn’t like the fact he had to apply himself in the only manner his noble family knew how. Service and duty, being a Knight. How conventional.

He sighed again, that was simply how things were. He had other members of his family so breathing down his back and it was so stuffy in that squadron base with so many more much more dedicated Knights that he was.

Time off was good, but now that he had a little freedom, it was hard to say what he wanted to do with it. His previous hobbies, which including general mischief and minor misdemeanors couldn’t very well continue if he was technically some kind of civil servant. And all none of his old acquaintances would have wanted to ‘hang out’ with Knight of the Order.

So he was left with to do nothing and time to waste, which wasn’t so bad really. He found himself wandering to the docks. Spotting some ships that were just coming in from the Land of Hino. His mother’s birth country, the foreign design and colorful masts were a sight to behold, so very different from Clover’s sleek and boring vessels. He wondered that if he had been born in Hino, how his life could have been different. Were the nobles as stuffy? Were their knights so do-goody? Did they even knights? Or magic?

And while wandering, he saw a blonde mage wandering in that rather looking for something but didn’t really know what he was looking for kind of wander. Takeshi felt a casual smirk sneak its way onto his face. Could he have some fun with this? Maybe? It was just messing around with strangers, honest to goodness, no bad intentions at all.

“Hey stranger!” Takeshi called out. “Looking for something?” He shrugged his shoulders, his Magic Knight’s mantle obvious on his attire. Maybe it was good, for one thing, or another.
