"Aye, and we need someone to scare it away! Or kill it, whatever!"
The female cocked her head, eyebrows slightly furrowed. "And it’s in the forest? But...aren’t there any Magic Knights who can take care of it?" The blue-haired elf was in one of the local apothecaries in Hapshass, talking with a very distraught shop owner. As of late, she had been looking into healing potions and the sort, trying to learn more about them. But at the moment, the seller in front of her clearly had more important things to talk about than attempting to sell his wares.
"I tried! We tried!" The man threw his hands up in exasperation. "But with all the daemon attacks lately, they haven’t been able to spare one! Not even one! I’m tellin’ ya, until someone actually gets hurt by the bear, they’re not comin’." He sighed and slammed his palms down on the counter in frustration, making some of the glass vials wobble dangerously.
"Why, my assistant was gathering some ingredients for my potions the other day. Poor lad, he heard the growl and dropped everything. He even dropped my wife’s favorite basket." A sigh of lament. "If only someone could chase it away...I know some of the other apothecaries are also willing to pay whoever could scare it off. A good amount, really, but alas, no knight in sight and we need the plants in the forest for our potions..."
Pay? Suna's elven ears perked up. "I can do it." She could always use more yul, since she had just recently moved to the Common Region, and was currently short on money.
Her offer immediately provoked a reaction. "You? Oh, no, young lady! The bear is nothing to be trifled with." He shook a finger at her, though it was more out of fatherly concern then stern degradation. "At the very least, it’ll take two able mages in order to bring it down. No, no, I can’t let you do that. Not alone."
Suna pursed her lips. She may look like a soft-mannered and weak mage, but in reality, she was no stranger in dealing with monsters and mana beasts. She has gone through harrowing dungeons, and is even undergoing strict training under the Crimson Lions’ vice captain herself. Surely, this bear would be no problem. She opened her mouth and was just about to reply when the doorbell jingled...
Shizuyoru had been a bit leery of traversing through the capital of the Clover kingdom. Hers was a presence that was most suited to the more fringe regions of the kingdom. But alas, her curiosity had been getting the better of her. Especially when some of the locals she'd run into spoke so highly of the vendors available there. And while Shizu was not exactly burning any holes in her coinpurse, the notion of surveying such wares was something that DID catch her interest, and so the young woman found herself carefully navigating the streets of the capital, ever-wary of the eyes around her as she took in the rather extravagant architecture that comprised the place. The fixation with their wealth was something that had always perplexed Shizuyoru, and while she could appreciate the defensive aspects of the fortifications, she found herself cringing now and then at the ...elaborate and expensive displays she could see from time to time. Much less the almost venomous glances that these humans exchanged with one another as they passed, thinly vailed byhind the curl of white teeth that did nothing to hide the caustic gaze they held.
Every footstep felt all too loud, and even the passive, fleeting glances that she garnered felt entirely too long and exposing. When she spotted the shop, she found herself practically awash with relief at the excuse to avoid those withering gazes. By now she had practically sprinted out from the center of the place to the more fringe locations, one with far fewer people leering about. Once she slipped in through the door, she sighed, taking a moment to collect herself before she turned her attention to the shopkeep, as well as an ....elf? Her head tilted as she spotted the strangely shaped ears. She offered a sheepish smile to the pair of them and paused to take stock of where she was. What was this place? Some sort of sundry shop? A glance at the rather specific wares made her peer just a little and she glanced back to the pair as she thought to herself. She had managed to catch just the tail end of the conversation between the two of them. Something about needing mages?
Perhaps she could help. Certainly partaking in the betterment of an upstanding (she assumed) shopkeep might give her a.... venue into this strange place. Information. Perhaps even a means of referral if she were to need something. Even more to be able to see another mage in action? She suddenly smiled quite brightly, bounding on her heels and causing those slim faux feline ears to bob just a little as she approached. "Is there need for some assistance?" she asked in a warm, helpful tone.
Suna turned her head around and cocked her head in interest. A quick glance showed the stranger to be a female mage, with curious feline-like ears. The other woman was tall and slim, unlike Suna’s short stature. She also looked to be young, though still held a sense of maturity in the way she carried herself. There was also a sense of familiarity that Suna could sense in her, but she had never met her before, so she could not lay a finger as to what it was exactly. Not now, at least. Dark-haired and bright-eyed, the newcomer looked like one who could handle herself in a fight.
Apparently the shopkeeper thought so to, as he clapped his hands together. "Yes, actually!" He said, in answer to her offer. Enthusiasm and energy flowed out of him like an overflowing torrent. "All you two have to do is to go to the forests near Hapshass, find the bear, and either chase it away or kill it!"
Suna nodded. "Sounds like a plan." It sounded simple and straightforward enough. If the other female was willing to team up with her, the elf would smile and extend a hand out in friendly greeting. "I’m Suna. I use sound and pure aura magic." She did not press for the girl’s own information, however.
Whether the other mage decided to take her hand or answer her was entirely up to her. It would be helpful to know of her comrade’s strengths and combat style, if they were to be working together, but she was sure she would find out soon enough, from vocal affirmations now or in the fight later. But from her tone, the other femme sounded like a warm and friendly person.
After the shopkeeper gave a few more details as to where in the forest the bear may be found, the blue-haired elf nodded. "Thank you. Shall we go?" She did not know whether the other mage knew the area, but it happened that she often visited the town of Hapshass, due to its proximity from her house. In addition, the ex-witch was no stranger to forests. In fact, she still preferred spending her time in the woods over staying in the bustling towns.
"Riding on my broom would be faster, if you don’t mind?" Assuming that the girl would agree and get on the broom behind her, Suna would fly it towards the direction of the port town, then bank it towards the outskirts to where the beautiful forest was located. Thankfully it was not too far from the Royal Capital, so it did not take long for them to arrive at their destination. "Here we are." She murmured, and circled the broom in a graceful arc and landed in a clearing.
No sooner had she put her broom away when her senses told her of a mana presence nearby. Clear azure eyes swept their surroundings, taking note of the thick underbrush around them. "I think the bear knows we’re here..." She kept her voice low and soft, just loud enough for her comrade to hear.
Quietly, she hummed a certain pitch, and as she did so, her harp appeared in her hands. The elf readied herself, fingers poised in midair, ready to strike at a moment’s notice. However, she did not cast anything. Not yet. Not until their target showed itself.

Shizuyoru perked her head to the side, brows lifting just a little as she noticed how exuberant the shopkeeper's response was. She gave a nervous smile and chuckled softly as she folded her hands in front of her. "Oh, I'd be happy to help! Uhm... So we're.....shooing a bear away? Or well....dealing with it." She ventured, rubbing her chin for just a moment before she glanced at the elf for a moment and nodded along as she spoke, a little intrigued by the vigor and enthusiasm the girl seemed to have about her, even if it paled, perhaps, beside the wanton energy that burst from the shopkeeper. She glanced at the offered hand from the other mage and gently reached out to shake it, her own soft hands betraying the fact that she was.....in a way, sheltered. Not even a hint of callous as she took note of the introduction. A bit surprised that the woman so openly talked of her magic. "Oh! I'm Shizu. A pleasure to meet you. I use Sound and Plant magic." She noted with a gentle smile. Technically not lying, but she knew better than to go talking about having world tree magic out in the open. Even at home, her mother had been.....pointed to say she should not be so bold with that part of her abilities.
She followed dutifully enough as the elf led her out of the shop, offering a wave in farewell to the shopkeep before she eyed the broom with raised brows. She wasn't unfamiliar with them in the slightest, it was a common mode of transportation in the witch's forest in fact. But all the same, she had never ridden on one. She ....poked at the shaft of the broom for a moment. "Will it support our weight?" She asked with a bit of worry and incredulity, looking around for a moment before gently slipping onto it. Once she was snugly behind Suna she reached forward and anxiously held onto the woman, hugging them about the midriff to try and make herself as stable as possible, and before she knew it they were flying! She was...... fascinated to be sure. Not that it was any unusual feat, but it was an experience entirely novel to her! She clung, watching as the scenery rushed around them, enjoying the rushing air as they departed from the capital and headed out to where this bear was supposedly located. By far it was a MUCH more ....comfortable place than that busy city. Once they properly landed, Shizu let out a sigh of relief, practically slumping against Suna before she rapidly extracted herself from the broom, a bit glad to be on solid ground again.
And of course, as the woman made a mention of the nearby bear she perked her brows. "Well, there's no need to make a guess of things." She hummed softly and gently opened her hand, palm facing up. A small, slim bell formed above her palm, just a few inches in width and height, the item gently wiggled, ringing quietly in a soft titter of warm sound. Her magic promptly pulsing outward, promptly mapping the area in her mind as she felt her spine tingle just a bit. Still.....adjusting to the feeling of the spell. And she felt it. And so many other things. All the same, that bell turned glassy, sparkling in the light and refracting it. In just a moment, a projected light display formed just above the bell, a map of the area within about forty meters of the pair, before zooming in on them, showing the pair of them as two soft glowing mana signatures, and of course... the ...surprisingly large mana signature not far from them. Shizuyoru promptly clearing her throat to draw Suna's attention. The bear was already nearby, and starting to circle the pair of them from a good 15 meters away, hidden by the vegetation. She was....surprised. How had the bear already found them?
"Well. No point in drawing things out. Let's see just how good this bear is at keeping track of things..." She hummed and ...gently stepped behind Suna. Hiding with the woman between her and where the bear was showing up on the map display. Her hand swept gently to the side as she cast a second spell. The ground behind her blooming as thick, vine-like serpent slithered up out of the ground. A Tree, creeping out of the earth in a slow spiral, two flowers sprouting along the sides of the serpent's neck before something spilled out of them. What appeared to be two replicas of Shizuyoru promptly peeling themselves from the tree, flanking the two mages as they both smiled, mimicking Shizu's expression before the pair promptly SPED off in the direction of the bear. At least, that's what most would see. Suna of course, with her sharp senses, would be able to notice the ....immaterial quality of the clones. They were, after all, just illussions woven from pollen and magic. And in actuality, were simply two floating seeds, flying about by drifting on fibrous roots that extended from them. Shizu's intention being to flush the bear out from where it was hiding. And, hopefully, to draw it's aggression to the two "clones" of herself. With any luck, she could have it waste some of it's energy on them.

-20 mana for Warden's Decoy and Prisma Morning Bell
Area of Triumph: This perk allows a person to have their AoE spells to have their max size increased by 10 meters + 5 meters per rank they are starting at junior.
Elemental Oddity: A quirky perk that allows ones element to naturally gain a property that is not naturally associated with that element. This does not give your element any sort of advantage or weakness over another element. It will still make them 100% the same strength/weakness as before. It is purely for flavor purposes or can add a different means of dealing damage, like adding a burning like feature to an element that would not normally have said feature. For example: water that burns like acid. When picking this oddity, please limit the effect to something that is in your element's grimoire tier and do not make it broken. Staff can at any point in time force you to change it. Elements oddity can be turned on or off depending on the spell being used. If a spell is going to utilize the oddity it should be made mention in the spell's creation! Platinum elements and paint cannot be picked as oddities.
Your oddity is Glass
Description: A Tracking spell, one of Shizuyoru's Soul Tuners. Upon casting, a small bell about 4 inches in width and 5 inches tall forms within a meter of Shizu, and rings quietly, sending out out ripples of magic rather than sound, which spread out over the spell's area and then echo back, transmitting the information directly to Shizuyoru. These magical ripples track the mana signature of all entities and objects within it's effective radius as well as mapping out the area as it interacts with the waves. Shizuyoru also has the option to have the bell shine, producing a Three-dimensional representation of the area in light below it by refracting the light around it like glass, to convey the information to others. The bell can remain stationary at Shizu's discretion, or follow her at a speed of 10 m/s if she wishes.
Area of Triumph: This perk allows a person to have their AoE spells to have their max size increased by 10 meters + 5 meters per rank they are starting at junior.
Description: One of Shizu's Rising Viper spells. This spell causes a 4 meter tall, spiral tree in the shape of a serpent to form at some point within the radius once the pulse of mana reaches that spot. From the bright green flower that sprouts along the length of the vine-like tree, an Illusion is formed, forming what appears to be a Copy of Shizuyoru, but is, in actuality, simply a floating seed emitting the visual illusion by a thin veil of pollen and magic woven around it as it floats about (The pollen itself, like all of Shizu's trees, is produced from the roots, unlike normal flowers). These seeds (and thus the illusions they produce) move at 10 meters per second. If a target makes contact with the tree itself, or one of these seeds at any point during their post, Shizuyoru will leech 10 mana from them every post that this occurs. Shizuyoru will be able to form one extra seed decoy beyond the first for every 10 points in Control.

Compared to the shopkeeper, Suna was the very image of calm elegance. However, with the three different types of energies combined in that small shop, it was a wonder that there were no magical concoction by their mere presences alone. Shizu, was it? Her elven ears perked up at the sound of...well, Sound magic. She has met another female mage who also used pure aura for her magic, and now she was meeting someone with the same element as her primary. If this was in a cartoon or the like, her eyebrows would have flown off her head. However, Suna did manage to keep her burning curiosity in check. For the time being, at least.
As they got on her magical broom, Suna only smiled at the girl’s hesitance. "It’ll support our weight, don’t worry." She assured her. "’Tis magic, after all." She did not mention that back in the Forest, the ex-witch was not able to procure a broom of her own. It was not until after she left the witch community that she got her very own broom, from a kind old broom-maker in Kikka. Thankfully, her new companion was willing to hop on her mode of transportation, otherwise it would have taken a while for the duo to travel to the forests of Hapshass by foot.
When they landed in the forest, Suna also let out a sigh of relief, at the same time as the other female. She looked up curiously, but did not say anything. The reason for her respite was being able to get away from the bustling city and back into her natural environment. She would venture to guess that the other mage had a different reason for her sigh of relief. But either way, their target seemed to be nearby. Or as Shizu pointed out, there was no need to guess.
Suna watched in fascination as the other femme used her sound magic to make a little bell, and she could hear the quiet tinkling of its rings. Then the bell seemed to light up, and cast a map in front of the pair. For the second time within the hour, the elf was pleasantly surprised...and impressed. The map showed the two mana signatures that belonged to the mages, as well as their target. "Closer than I thought." She murmured, seeing the distance between their glowing positions and the bear’s. She could even see the bear’s marker moving, moving closer towards them and closing the gap.
"Well. No point in drawing things out. Let's see just how good this bear is at keeping track of things..."
Then Shizu stepped behind her for some reason. All she heard from behind was something...moving from the ground. Growing? Sprouting? It would make sense, since the girl had mentioned her plant magic earlier. Since Suna was now busy starting a spell of her own, she did not turn to see what the other was doing. The elf was drawing her fingers through the strings of her harp. Immediately, a slow and graceful melody emerged, preparing the fight with her restraining spell Ritenuto. Blue magic flowed out of her instrument like a flood, sweeping in a wide circular area.
Then, she saw two figures rush past her. Was that...Shizu? No, no, those were only illusions. But some very well-made illusions, she must say. The two copies was speeding off towards the bear’s location, and it seemed to draw the creature out of its hiding spot. Now the furry animal was in full view of the two mages, though now attacking those two imaginary enemies instead of them. "That is fascinating." Suna observed. It had flushed out the bear, and also bought her some time to finish her spell.
As the music danced and swirled around her, the spell finally reached the furry dancing creature. Now the bear was within proximity of her spell, and upon contact, her sound crept up and wrapped themselves around its legs, restraining the target’s movements. Too late, the bear realized its slowed and restricted movements now that it stepped into the ‘flooded’ area. It growled and tried to move out of the area, but the magical restraints held it fast. If it could not break free, her restraints themselves would deal passive damage to the captive animal.
The elf’s first instinct was to scare it off, but this particular one looked uncommonly big. Judging by its ferocious eyes and frantic movements, it would be unwise to let it go free. Suna gave a little sigh. Guess they would have to kill it then. All this while, she continued her playing. If she stopped, so would her spells. But now, she stood on standby. She was still unsure as to what kind of magic Shizu specialized in, so she did not make the next attack, in case the other female mage wanted to go in and finish the bear off herself. Suna honestly did not care who did the final killing blow, as long as the job was completed.

Shizu was quick to take note of the woman's magic earlier when she had started things up, but as she watched that gentle etude taking it's toll on their captive, and indeed the massive bear roared out, swiping about at the doubles as the pair sped around it, one of them sweeping in from behind and latching onto the Bear from behind. Of course, as an illusion it was, under normal circumstances, harmless. But this wasn't some simple illussion, and promptly as the bear was made contact with the little seed that projected the double, it promptly began to leech mana from the beast, further hindering the bear as it Bellowed and sniffed the air. After all, the illusions were not perfect. And Promptly it began viciously clawing at the earth, as if trying to DRAG itself in the direction of the two mages.
"Well that certainly explains why it was causing so much trouble. I can't imagine many merchants would want to come through here with this thing on the loose..." She murmured, impressed with the fury and tenacity of the wild animal. She stepped out from behind Suna, cautious as she observed the situation and took a quick glance at the Map floating beside her. As if to check and make sure that there were no other ....surprises nearby. The last thing they needed was this thing's Mate showing up. She turned her attention to Suna and noticed that the woman seemed....uncertain. Something that quite surprised her, after all she seemed to be quite the capable mage, that she was uncertain was a surprise indeed. But more it might be ....they wanted her opinion? She didn't know what to clock that look as, but she offered a gentle smile to the young woman no less. She had forgotten that this was still.......something of a fledgeling mage. A young and perhaps indecisive thing. Or at the very least that seemed to be the present case. "We should probably finish this thing off. Whatever is wrong with it, I don't think we can risk something so...vicious being allowed to rampage about." She murmured, clear concern on her face.
And promptly, there was a BURST. Her Bell jingled softly and that mana signature rose just a bit. The bear promptly seeming to almost bulk up! A low growl rippling from it's body as it raised it's head and then roared out! A sudden ripple of Physical Reinforcement magic was seen as it's muscles bulged and it's strength bolstered! And promptly, it SMASHED it's paw downward, ripping into the bindings, which, in response to being overloaded, popped, bursting apart as the beast destroyed the restraints with it's newfound strength. Causing Shizu to widen her eyes, backing up just a little as she watched it ignore the double that was latched onto it. The resitual effects of the restraint kept it slowed, but it promptly began to limp their way! Closing the gap from fifteen meters to 12 meters!
Shizu took a step back and cleared her throat, before gesturing to the serpent behind them, promptly slipping behind it, using the spell, feeble as it were, as cover. "I'm ... afraid I'm not quite equipped to finishing the beast off. My talents are.... more akin to monitoring and distracting." She noted a bit anxiously. VERY glad that the beast was still in the process of being slowed. The Doubles were doing their best to impede the beast, namely by sapping mana, while the other placed itself between the bear and them, at least obstructing the view of the two women so that it would not see their counter coming. But of course, there was little ELSE they could do. She had to rely on Suna to have some means of putting this bear down. Otherwise they were ..... in for a bit of trouble. In the very back of her mind, it occurred to her that she might need to invest in some sort of weapon for self defense. Oh dear....
Bear has used an Intermediate Physical Reinforcement spell, increasing it's damage from Intermediate to Senior. Warden's Decoy Leeches 10 mana thanks to World Tree Magic -5 each for Sustaining Warden's Decoy and Prisma Morning Bell
"We should probably finish this thing off. Whatever is wrong with it, I don't think we can risk something so...vicious being allowed to rampage about."
Suna nodded at the other mage’s words. She was right. Even if they scared it off, it would probably just come back the next day. Yes, getting rid of it completely would be the better option. Thank goodness there was someone who made the decision for her, otherwise she would have been stuck here for a long time. The sound mage was more used to following other’s leadings and supporting them from the back, but not in making the final decisions.
The bear was struggling and growling at its magical restraints. Thanks to the illusions from Shizu earlier, it had spent most of its energy on attacking the copies. In addition, Suna had noticed that it had also leeched mana from the bear. Interesting, as she was also siphoning mana from the beast. Double the mana drain, she supposed. The brown bear was furious, to say the least, and frustrated as well, at the untouchable enemies. Now it was trying to drag itself towards the two mages.
Then it rose up on its hind legs and gave a terrible roar. A bell jingled. Suna gasped. Did it just...grow in size? Or was that just her imagination? Nonetheless, it broke free from her bonds and began to close the distance between it and the two females. Slowly, but steadily. "Oh dear..." It was angry. Terribly angry. Best for them to get rid of the problem quickly and cleanly.
Suna was a little confused as to why her companion stepped behind her, but then the explanation made sense. "No worries." A quick nod of acknowledgment. "Your illusions have sapped much of its energy and mana already." At this, the elf let her pure aura flow towards the captive creature. Like her sound, her aura magic was also blue in hue, though paler. Then she shaped it into a circular dome around the target. As soon as it was completed, she let down on the previous spell, but only briefly to change up her melody to something new.
Slender fingers flew as it took on a more lively tempo, but it was very different from the previous piece she played. It was entirely dissonant, no beautiful melody line or pleasing harmonies to the ear. She released her sound magic into the half-sphere, and it would ricochet in the confined area. As the bouncing sound waves dealt damage to its imprisoned victim, it would also slow its movements down. Even if the bear tried to run out from its position, the dome would move with it, following its movements and keeping the target in the middle. From the outside, all was quiet, save for the melody Suna plucked from her harp...and a few muffled growls and roars.
After a few moments—though it felt much longer then that—the elf could no longer feel any more movement from within her spell. She slowed her music to a graceful end, finishing it off with a satisfying cadence. Then she let her aura dissolve into thin air, and there laid their target, indeed down and dead. Suna murmured a few parting words in her old witch tongue, to send the creature off properly. "Well, that’s done." She sighed in relief, and turned around to face her companion. "Are you all right?"

As her sound ricochets within the confined area, those caught in the spell will suffer intermediate damage by the bouncing sound waves and will have their speed debuffed by -5 m/s, while she is buffed by +4 Power. This AoE spell may follow the specified target. Restraining magic naturally cuts its targets’ allotted spell usages by half. Following ammo rules, she may form another dome for every 30 Control she has, as long as the spell is sustained.
Of course Shizu had made the recommendation, but all the same it was.... actually quite impressive to see the woman actually pulling it off! Her eyes rather raptly focused on the other sound mage as they produced another aggressive spell which managed to race out and pepper the bear with a relentless number of hits, ultimately taking the thing down when at last that dome popped and the bear's corpse was revealed, impressing Shizu to say the least. Peeking over the other sound mage's shoulder and raising her brows. the mage was a bit stronger than she had thought! But even more than that, something else snared her attention. She heard words that were familiar to her.
"Oh! You're a witch! Well what a small world!" She promptly pointed out, smiling quite wide as she made no attempt to be discrete. They were in the middle of the woods after all. What an intriguing woman, and an elf as well? What a strange heritage this woman had. "I'm quite fine dear, thanks to you in no short manner. I admit I've been a bit of a shut-in for quite some time. So combat is ....not PRESENTLY one of my specialties. Which honestly, is more of a problem than I anticipated..." She murmured, glancing at the bear. She REALLY needed to find some sort of weapon to wield for the time being. Otherwise things like this were going to be a considerable problem to deal with. She sighed, then offering a nervous smile. "I do apologize. I suppose I didn't really contribute much to the killing of the bear. Honestly you seemed to already have a good idea of where it was, and well, I didn't actually really contribute much to killing it. You probably could have handled this all on our own." She murmured observatively, shaking her head and rubbing the back of her neck sheepishly at her own performance. She really was much less prepared for this place than she'd hoped. Definitely something she would need to remedy.
Witch?! Her mouth dropped open, forming a perfect 'o.' How ladylike of her. Suna never would have thought that she would meet another witch outside of the Forest, especially one that also seemed to be a regular in Clover...or perhaps she was also a citizen? That would make her disbelief grow to an even greater extent. Her murmured words in the witch tongue had been a momentary slip, as she had been trying to break free of her previous life’s background and upbringing. Yet, old habits die hard. It had been completely unintended, but a happy mistake, as it would seem to turn out.
"W-What?" She stammered, hardly believing her elven ears. "You’re also a witch?" Well, she would consider herself an ex-witch, as she has cut off all known ties with the Forest. Completely and utterly. But either way, that probably explained the familiarity she felt back there in the apothecary. Or was the other mage’s sound magic? Or perhaps it was both.
Thank goodness they were in the middle of the forest with no one else around them, otherwise the blue-haired woman would have probably completely become tight-lipped. Witches, in her observation and personal experience, did not always have the best of reputations. One could almost say a negative one, hence why she kept that part of her identity a secret for so long. If it were not for certain people she has met over the last few months, she would not have been more open about her past, nor of her joyful reaction now.
"Goodness, are you...are you a full Cloverian?" Of course, that was something she just had to ask. It may sound like a strange question, but to the ex-witch, the answer would speak volumes. As for the young woman’s explanation on her fighting style, Suna nodded in understanding. "Your illusions were very helpful, though! Otherwise the bear would have immediately come after us." She waved her hand, dispelling any of her magic that might have been left behind and floating around. They had completed their mission, all that was needed was to let the apothecary know.
"Well, shall we be heading back?" If Shizu agreed, Suna would take out her magic broom and fly them both back into town. As they made their way back, the elf would do her best not to bombard her new friend with a storm of questions. It would not do to come off as too curious, lest the other became wary of some potential hidden agenda—which she had none. When they got back to the shop, the man seemed surprised to see them, and asked if they forgot something.
Suna laughed. "No, we’re back to let you know we killed the bear. Now you and the other apothecaries don’t have to worry about getting attacked while gathering ingredients for your potions!" After receiving the promised payment from the man and leaving the shop, the blue-haired elf will was suddenly struck with an idea. She had received her magical broom in Kikka, from an old dwarf who was especially friendly towards witches. She had meant to visit the broom maker, to see if he was still around and doing well, but never really got the chance to...until now. It would be the perfect time to see how the old man was faring, as well as get his services again for a friend.
"Since you’re a fellow witch, do you have your own broom? If not, I can take you to a place to get one!" Whether Shizu decided to take up on her offer was up to her, but regardless, Suna was glad that she met this other sound mage, and would not mind seeing her again soon. Either way, little did she know she would bump into Shizu in the Royal Capital, not long from now...

The shock on the other woman's face more or less left a chuckle on Shizuyoru's lips as she watched the woman briefly wrestling with a moment of uncertainty before finally the words leapt from their mouth, confirming the woman's suspicions that this was indeed another witch. To ..... some extent. She was also an elf, which was rather interesting. Not only that but there was some level of ......secrecy? It wasn't outright in the woman's words, but the gravity with which Suna seemed to handle the information was definitely to be of note. Were witches persecuted here in Clover? Certainly it was an interesting predicament to be sure. "I certainly am! A witch that is. Though no I'm not cloverian in the slightest. Actually I reside within the Witch's forest primarily. Howeverrrrrr, as of late with all of the joint operations and the opening of the Witch's forest since the Daemon war. Well, eventually I decided to give clover an exploratory survey! Dungeons, magic zones, all sorts of phenomena which all but BEG to be studied~" She chimed with a sweeping motion of her hands, smiling wide as she afforded herself a bit more of a loose tongue than usual. After all the woman was a fellow witch.
She ....settled. That enthusiasm sinking to a low, calm smile as she watched Suna. "As a matter of fact. I'm in clover with a specific interest in ...... some specific phenomena. Sensitive things, that is. At least for the time being. I'm sure you understand. But wellllllll, such things are veiled in mystery and danger. And being a bit of a homebody myself, it came to my attention that my ......research would not exactly be an easy task. And so I've come to the Clover kingdom not just for research, but to walk in the footsteps of various Mage Knights~ To make a name for myself, and in doing so, gather strength and influence so that I may ultimately get the answers and information I desire." She explained with an idle hum, folding her hands for just a moment as those bright yellow eyes then darted back to Suna. And she considered. Musing over who they were. Hardly a person of influence. But .... a potential ally. Someone she might even be able to confide in. A solid first step to be sure.
"You give me too much credit dear. Your restraints did just as well a job. I'm sure you could have taken the bear on on your own. But all the same, I do appreciate your support. And certainly this excursion has provided useful data. She noted with a slow stroke of her chin as she glanced in the direction of the bear's corpse. "I initially had hoped that wits would suffice enough. But If a mere bear can impede me. I may need to consider a new avenue through which to ....conduct my researches." She murmured softly, sighing. "Perhaps it might be prudent for me to look into more ...aggressive forms of magic." She hummed thoughtfully. Her eyes then darted back to Suna and that smilre returned in full force. "But I agree. We should head back and report the success of our mission." She capitulated, smiling as she promptly joined the woman on her broom once again. A bit less.....tense and clingy this time around, somewhat getting used to flying. And without much more delay they were back where they had gotten the mission. Shizu allowing Suna to take the lead in talking with the shop owner as Shizu herself looked around, her mind buzzing with intrigue at the human shop, until at long last, they received their reward, and they took their leave of the shop. It was done at last!
However, as she was about to head off, she was ...surprised when the woman spoke up again. Her head canting slightly to the side as the woman asked her a question. "Not currently, no." She murmured in reply, before Suna promptly made her intentions clear. To procure a broom with which to supply Shizu a means of transportation. And she had to admit......it wasn't a bad idea in the slightest. A smile warmed the woman's features and she gave Suna a fond look. Ah yes, she had made a fine choice in allies. Already the woman was so very helpful. "I think that sounds like a wonderful idea~"
