The port city was flourishing with multiple residents of Clover and other countries going from place to place buying things or doing their work. People came from all over Clover to be in Raque and see the items that had been imported or exported like clockwork everyday. It made the city one of the most popular in Clover to visit but it also came with its negatives. Not everyone from other countries had good intentions in mind and the crowds allowed them to blend into the crowds where most would later disappear into their shady lines of work. Four such men had just gotten off of their ship, each dressed in dark clothing and only with a single bag each. "That trip was longer than I would have liked and this place looks as bad as our trip was. Let's make this quick." A red haired man who took his place in front of the other three, spoke out. "I can agree with that, Doken. I want to get back home as soon as possible so that I can get back to my fun hobbies..." Another of the men spoke out who had green hair and a constant smirk on his face. He broke out into a full crazed smile after he spoke. "Calm down, Zerek. We will probably be able to have your fun here if things go 'well'." A brown haired man spoke out to the crazed looking man with the feeling that the there was a different meaning behind what he said. Zerek snickered to what his colleague had said. "No, Prefin! With him here we may not get to have any fun!" Zerek exclaimed and looked towards the last man of the group who was a black haired man with short hair with some of it covering his face at times. Prefin simply put his hands up showing he did not want any part in what could happen. His red eyes glared towards Zerek causing both men to seem to be building to a battle through their silence. The red haired Doken took a stand in front of both of their gazes at each other. "Zerek. Trase. You two better get along for this mission before I have to make this a two man mission. Remember that." Zerek continued his glare at Trase who continued to stare back silently before he stopped and scoffed with a shrug. "Yeah, yeah. He probably isn't worth my time anyways." Zerek finished speaking and Trase did not respond at all. Doken then took the lead and the other three followed behind him as they traveled through the crowded streets of Raque.
As the group moved through the crowd, a man wearing a man in a heavy cloak followed them. The group made multiple turns in the city as they traveled through the streets where the cloaked man would almost lose them at times until they ended up walking into a small alley way. The cloaked man followed them but was suddenly caught off guard when the four men turned around directly to him. "Have fun with your little chase?" Doken spoke and shot a grin at the cloaked man who quickly turned around in an attempt to get away but stopped when he realized that Trase and Prefin were in front of him now. He turned his head to see the two forms of Trase and Prefin disappear in smoke. "Trase? The rumors said they sent others here from Spade but they sent you here? But she is your-" The cloaked man spoke but was cut off when Trase dashed up with his arm taking the form of a shadow claw and swiping it towards the man. The attack hit the man, knocking his cloak off and leaving him on the ground clutching his chest where he was struck. The man wore butler garb which was now ripped through from the attack. "I know, Amostia. I know who she is to me. It is exactly why I need to get her back home and out of this disgusting country! I won't allow my sister to be used by them!" Trase yelled out angrily and then grabbed Amostia by his clothing and slammed him into the nearby wall. "where is she?" His question was returned with a shake of the head from Amostia. "I can't tell you that... I won't..." Trase glared into the butler's eyes as he thought on his next move but before he could Doken walked up close to Amostia. "You hear that, Zerek? It looks like you will get to have your fun like back at home just like you wanted." Zerek's face broke into a full smile as he approached with his hands starting to drip with a purple liquid along with a purple smoke coming from it. "Oooooh? Cover me then. This shouldn't take long at all." Prefin created a barrier of earth around them to prevent anyone inside while Zerek started up his torture on the lone butler.
It had been three years now since Amostia had committed treason and brought the Blake daughter back to Clover under false pretences with no intention of her ever returning to the kingdom in which she had been raised. He knew in that one act if he ever returned then his execution day would be set and there would be no reprieve, what he was done was unforgivable and he knew it but he couldn't live with the shame of what had happened to her when she was still an infant. He, of course, didn't expect for what had happened that fateful day three years ago to happen or the agony it had caused his now young mistress since. He had been offered protection by the head of the Blake family for bringing her back and would even vouch for him in regards to him getting citizenship so he could live a normal life within the Clover kingdom but he had refused the latter pleading to be allowed to remain in service more so to Demiari as he was the one who had brought misfortune to her in his misguided crusade to get her back to her family and home. His request was approved but of course, that didn't mean his life was any easier, in fact, due to everything that had happened to her and how the world now treated her his young mistress had closed herself off from the world. She was no longer the happy, bubbly and bouncy young lady that he had served her entire life. No, now she was cold, distant and bitter but it was understandable given everything she now had to go through on a day to day basis.
Today was the first day She had went to her new squad, she had tried at the request of her brother to adapt to the Azure Deer but no one could see past the fact that she was a walking nightmare. She couldn't help that, she tried but it just caused more and more anger to build up in the youth and she eventually just stopped leaving her room in the Blake estate completely. Amostia knew this wasn't any good so spoke to her elder brother to see if there was anything that he could do. The once royal knew that she was still having a hard time adapting to the Clover kingdom even after all these years, but then she had gone through a horrible event and even to this day was reminded of it. She was forever fifteen years old, had lost the pigment in her skin, her beautiful ocean blue eyes were now wider and had become a deep purple, her black hair gave off a deep indigo hue when light so much as touched it. Part of him thought it would just be kinder to kill her and get it over and done with but he would rather not have two noble families after him for doing something stupid, having traitor plastered on him by one was bad enough. Hearing of the young girls' current folly it would seem like the recently appointed Blue Rose captain Alyssa Lillygate had offered her a position within the Blue Roses saying flowers came in all different colours and designs but they all had their place and all were strong in their own unique way. At first, she had denied it but over time and being spoken to about it by Amostia constantly she begrudgingly had agreed.
His life had been rough since the change as his young mistress had blamed him for everything that had gone wrong in her life since the day that she left the home she loved so much for a vacation he never intended for her to return from. She had been abusive and cruel and he had bore it all without so much as a word of what was going on or a complaint. In his mind, he had deserved it and so much more so would endure it until she could forgive him. Today was the first day she would be at the Blue Rose headquarters and he had left to collect her to bring her home, he had noticed he had been followed and had tried to lose those tailing him and to an extent, he believed he did. That was until he found him being outflanked by the four men. After a short conversation, he found himself injured and holding onto his chest "Trase, they haven't been treating her badly. Her family have been caring for her." he finally got out, he was, of course, frightened at the real chance that he may end up dead but he had made peace with that fact the moment he had put the plan to bring her here in the first place. "This kingdom isn't like ours, they care about the citizens. It isn't a dictatorship where the weak or less privilege needs to suffer." he continued trying to make them see sense but he knew this would most likely fall on deaf ears. They were some of the elite and they had been sent with a single task, to take care of the traitor and bring back the missing noble.
It was then he had attempted to flare his mana to allow any magic knights in the area know that there was something bad going on, just as the barrier went up Demi turned the corner looking less than impressed "Amostia, you're late; if you've been helping another kitten get down from a tree I'm go-" she stopped mid-sentence looking at the four cloaked men before looking to her butler at first it didn't register as to what was going on just that he was in danger. "Does he owe you money or something?" she asked wondering if he had gotten into some other trouble that he hadn't told her about "I can pay his debt if needed." her voice seemed irritated at this point as it was the last thing she really wanted to deal with. She was wearing a black dress with deep purple frills with a matching bonnet and a mantle around her shoulders indicating her squad, she was a magic knight for better or worse where Amostia wasn't he was just a civilian ad as much as she would love for him to get tortured only she had that right in her mind but she had never harmed him in such a way she had ever left him getting hurt... well not recently anyway...

Before the barrier of earth could be formed up around the scene of the torture about to happen a feminine voice spoke out to Amostia as a small girl joined them in the barrier. She spoke out to her butler about the man being late but stopped her sentence as she realized what was going on. Prefin dropped the barrier he had created and started to chuckle while Doken and Zerek stared on with their faces full of surprise but then let out a chuckle themselves. "He owes us something much more than any money could buy. He stole someone from us that we now see as a traitor along with him. We are to bring her back, magic knight or not. At least that was our orders but someone who looks like you does not deserve to be a part of our country so I am making a change in plans. Zerek, we are going to have another body for you to experiment on." Doken moved towards Demiari but stopped quickly when the sound of a crack and grunt came from behind him when Trase attacked Zerek by slamming his head into the wall near Amostia. Zerek laid on the ground unconscious from the sudden attack. "Trase!? What the hell are you doing?!" Prefin yelled out and started to move to cast a spell from his grimoire when he felt something crawling across his neck and realized there was a shadow-like snake across it. He put his hands up as he realized just what was going on as the tip of the shadow construct pointed near his jugular. Doken also realized that he had gotten one of the snakes across his neck in the same way as Prefin but unlike Prefin he kept himself relaxed. "We won't kill her. You won't kill her." Trase spoke out to his superior. "I should have known that the elitest you are would not have allowed her back home alive." Trase continued speaking as he helped Amostia from the wall and directed him towards Demiari. "Oh? You thought a bit ahead? I wonder how far you think you will get from us." Doken and Trase locked eyes as the two began speaking. "I don't have to go far from you because you will be dead." Doken laughed and pointed to the shadow construct around his neck that threatened to puncture his throat. "This? Kill us? You gotta try harder than some little tooth pick of shadow magic to get us."
Trase did not hesitate and made the constructs go in to stab the men through but both men managed to prevent the attack by a sudden stone blocking the attacking constructs just before hitting their necks. Doken pulled a card from out of his pocket revealing a card showing a stone shield. "You are not the only person who thought of counter measures to what you wanted." Trase did not waste time after seeing the men avoid his attack and made the constructs attack in a flurry towards the men while he grabbed Demiari by her hand and pulled Amostia around the corner of the alley. "We have to run now! We can't handle Doken alone but with the others we really stand no chance right now!" He commanded both Demiari and Amostia and waited for them to start running. A blue flame came over Trase's hand and he quickly moved it towards the injury that Amostia had which healed the injury causing the butler to got through an emotion of fear and then relief. "Amostia. Take her and go now! Do not turn around at all until you are safe! That is an order!"
Trase then used his grimoire to create the same blue flame and blue shadow claw over his right hand and quickly swiped it towards the alley way again where a card had been thrown towards him suddenly. Trase had all of a second to see the card showed a picture of an explosion before it exploded. The explosion brought up dust and ripped through the nearby building destroying part of them. Trase was left kneeling on the ground with his body showing multiple lacerations. "Go...!" He then ordered again to Amostia who grabbed Demiari and started to run with her as Doken watched on ominously. He did not move any closer to Trase but instead looked on at his handy work like he was critiquing what he had done. Prefin started to move by Doken but was stopped by his shoulder be grabbed by his superior. "Don't. You can sense where they are, right?" Prefin nodded. "Yes but they are not too far away yet." Doken smirked. "We will have a bit of fun with what we have been presented. Trase is a Blake after all so we will wait and show them just what we think of their family. I think we have a bit of a family reunion to go to." With his words silently being answered by a nod from Prefin the duo retrieved their unconscious ally and made their way out of the alley way through the opposite end where they left a half conscious Trase looking on as he was struggling to stay kneeled.
Demi looked at the four men for a moment, she tried to see if she recognised them but with the cloaks, they were wearing this was a bit harder than it normally would be. It wasn't until the first man talked she took a step back she knew that voice and so knew the ones with him, she anticipated that people would be sent to retrieve her, she had been missing for three years and it wasn't through the lack of wanting to return to the kingdom and family she knew but she was prevented from doing so by her older brother and Amostia. Then again she didn't think they would take to well to how she now looked and she didn't feel like becoming some sort of whimsical experiment while they tried to figure out what happened to her. After a long moment, she poised herself like a noble of the spade kingdom and rolled her eyes "Well, then you are idiots." she said with a cold stern tone "You can not steal a person, you can kidnap them which is the actual case in this situation." she wasn't lying she thought she would only be within clover for a few weeks to understand the nation more and enjoy herself as any young noble would. "The fact as you yourself so clumsily claimed that I was 'stolen' means I am not a traitor to my family or the kingdom that has given me everything you fool." She couldn't remember that she could speak so openly without worrying about bruising fragile egos.
Her hands balled at the fact how she looked was brought up by these ignorant men "You really think I asked for this to happen to me?!" her voice showed seething anger towards him "I didn't ask to be brought to this kingdom nor did I ask to get swept up in a daemon attack when receiving a grimoire!" she stepped forward her noble pride wasn't ready to take any flack from some low born idiot like the one she was speaking to "I was separated from that moron, chased down an alleyway where a daemon touched me! Next thing I know I was in some nobles estate looking like I am now!" she continued her voice as cold as the night air "I've been cursed and have been looking for a way to break it so I can return home to my family." her voice broke a little it was clear that she was severely homesick and truly missed the ones she called parents "The noble I've ended up living with claims to be my elder brother, according to him and Amostia I was kidnapped from my birth family and raised in the family I have known all my life." she sighed shaking her head as even after three years she still didn't believe it "I am a proud citizen of the Spade Kingdom, heir to the noble house of Aelon" she had no shame in speaking these words as even now she believed them but it would seem that the men that she was talking to had other plans.
Before she could even move an inch it would seem like the quieter of the group had decided to take action and prevent the change of plan from happening. She had no idea what the hell was going on because within that squad she knew there was a clear chain of command and he had just broken it meaning he would be punished for his outburst. She already knew she and the one known as Trase were no match for the other three, even her butler who was a decent warrior in his own right wouldn't be able to take the three on, they each specialised in something and that was why this group was never the one you wanted to be sent after you, they wouldn't stop until they had completed their mission but it had caught off-guard when the leader changed his plans, that wasn't something that was normal as she knew this group followed orders to the letter. The only thing that she could come up with was now that he was off sovereign soil he believed he could get away with his more sadistic desires without being called on it, after all, there are a lot of unknown factors in this mission. "Yeah, dying has never been on the table for me." she had to admit hearing that Trase wouldn't allow them to kill her so she was kind of thankful that one of them actually was sticking to the mission objective even if it would spell trouble for him later. Before she could react, her hand was taken and she was pulled away from the other three men and was clearly confused as to what the hell was going on.
Without speaking a word she ran with him and Amostia but she would be wanting to know what the hell was going on before long that was for damned sure. Hearing what was 'ordered' the butler was ready to argue back as he no longer took orders from people from Spade after all he had defected three years ago and was now a citizen of Clover but he did agree that his young mistresses well being was the most important thing to him and so nodded in agreement. Amostia grabbed Demi's wrist and started to run still confused she herself couldn't stop him and so ran with him only to stop and look back hearing the explosion, it was in that moment she came back to her senses and ripped her arm free running back towards the way they had come from. Raque, after all, had recently been attacked by a daemon and was still in the mists of rebuilding she didn't want any of the civilians in harm's way because of her 'tch, this place really is making me soft.' she thought to herself as she stopped next to Trase and knelt next to him. She used her spiked thumbnail to pierce the skin on her index finger allowing it to pool on the fingertip before she started to create a seal within the air "Trase." she whispered the moment she did beneath the injured Trase appeared the same bloodied seal which started to heal him. This was an element she had never possessed while she had been within the kingdom of Spade so it would have likely came as a surprise to the four men who hadn't seen her in three years. "You're an idiot!" she said in an angered tone "Amostia, grab him and let's get going I can't allow this town to be any more damaged than it already is." she demanded the elder male quickly and without question done as he was ordered and once again the trio was on the run.

Trase could only look on full of confusion by what Doken had done. He was playing with his food rather than finishing his plate which was not like the man he had worked with. Doken always had wanted to quickly deal with a mission and get back home as soon as he could. Something had changed with them being there that Trase did not comprehend. The pain from the explosion he had endured had made it even harder for him to think which caused him to grunt as he attempted to stand but only ending up nearly falling flat on the ground but caught himself with his hand. "Damn it..." He cursed out loud to no one. "What are they planning...?" He spoke out between his heavy breaths. He was about to start healing himself when he felt some sort of magic coming over his body. He looked over to see it was Demiari casting a spell on him. "What are you---I'm an idiot?! You came back to the area where some men wanted to kill you. I think that qualifies you are as much of an idiot or even worse." He couldn't help but face palm and chuckle. She didn't even know that they were siblings and she barely knew who he was at this point but she rushed to save him. Did what she get taught become an after thought from her years being in Clover? Either way it was laughable to the young bastard Noble. He sighed after she ordered her butler to get him. "I don't need help from a servant who couldn't even keep a hold on his master long enough to get her completely out of danger." He managed to stand up after the healing Demiari had given him. "We won't have to worry about any more damages to this city now. They left. I couldn't make out everything he said but Doken mentioned a reunion with our family; with House Blake." He did not know how she would take knowing who he was to her but with the circumstances it would have become obvious. "Before you ask, you were not the only child they too from the Blake family though I was a bastard child of Rolin." Trase grit his teeth saying the name of the man who had abandoned him and his mother. "What am I doing here..?" He rubbed the temples of his head as he tried to figure out just how he had gotten into the situation he was in. Some sort of familial bound that sparked up with someone who didn't even remember him. "Things have a way of really spiraling out of your control, don't they?" He broke into a chuckle again before gathering himself a bit. "Demiari, I don't like our family and I feel like all of them are self centered heathens who are no better than cattle besides you but I will not let Spade have their way with my family. Even if I don't have a place to call home anymore."
Demi looked at the black-haired man and rolled her eyes only as a spoilt noble could as he tried to berate her actions, she knew she had changed since coming to Clover and to be honest, she really didn't like it. She wanted to go home where everyone and everything had its place and remained within it but as it stood she was in a country filled with fluffy marshmallows and special snowflakes and she didn't want to catch whatever the hell they had. "Trase, remember who you are speaking to!" she almost growled, they may not be home but on the food chain, she was still of higher rank. "Yeah, let's talk about those traitors for a moment." she said her brow furrowed in disbelief that they would even dare to attempt to chase her down let alone try to apprehend her to kill her. "They are like wild dogs being let off their leashes, after all, they are away from their masters but their little rebellion will be put to an end as they once again learn their place." she almost growled crossing her arms, it was true she may have softened a bit thanks to spending time in the la-la land that is Clover but she still clearly had the mentality of a Spadian noble and she wasn't about to be walked over by some low born mongrel who had rabies.
"Well you see this kingdom have magic knights, I'm sure you're educated enough to know what those are." she said almost talking down to him as if he was slow. "In those three years, I have been forced to become one thanks to the noble who says he is my older brother." it was clear by her tone she didn't believe a single word of that, to her she was still an only child and if she wasn't they would have been raised in Spade by her ever-loving, doting if not strict parents. "That means if someone is in trouble I am meant to aid them even if I don't think it worth my time. This town has the headquarters of the squad I am in so it would kind of look bad if I didn't help the weak and pathetic survive." she said pointing to the symbol on the mantle around her shoulders showing her to be a member of the blue rose squad. "Don't blame the dog for obeying its master's orders." it was as simple as that to her but Amostia didn't attempt to help the man after he was told he didn't need his help due to failing to protect his mistress. She listened as it was explained that they were intending to meet with the house of Blake, 'their' family but she merely shook her head "My family is in Spade and I intend to return to them when I can break this infernal curse." she said starting to walk off the butler following behind her.
"I was not kidnapped from Clover, I was kidnapped from Spade and am now forced to live in a kingdom where people see the world as rainbows and lollipops." It was clear she held a disdain for the kingdom but that was due to how she was raised within Spade. "I feel sorry that your father abandoned you and believe you have every right to hate him and them for their actions." she said not even bothering to look back at him. It was his next sentence that caused her to stop dead in her tracks her right hand going onto her left arm as if to comfort herself "We are not family Trase, however, we do share a home and it is not here...." she whispered softly to a point he may even miss her voice "Our home is Spade and unlike me, you can at least return to it." she said before starting to walk off once more as if the moment of insecurity, pain and sorrow never happened.

The young crimson eyed man did not exactly appreciate how she spoke to him, especially after he went through so much to save her. It sounded like she could not come to the realization that no matter what she did, she would always be a target to destroy for the Spade Kingdom. Him being there was proof enough of that alone. "We all know have known that you did not come here willing but that is not stopping that kingdom from taking you in to eventually kill you. They sent those others and myself here in order to deal with you. Yes, they wanted us to take you in alive but the orders were clear that if we felt that was not an option we are to cut away the loose end." He spoke out. He didn't know if she would listen to him at all really but wanted to make sure she knew exactly the type of people she was dealing with. The Spade Kingdom was lead by a selfish group of nobles who felt they knew better for the kingdom than anyone else, even those of similar rank and if you betrayed them, even if not by your own actions, they would punish you with the harshest of treatments. He could only shake his head as she renounced their familial ties. It was a fact that she would have to come to terms with that they both were born with the blood of the same man, though they had much different upbringings. "Believe our lineage or not, I don't care either way because I already chose to protect you, my younger sister over killing you ever since I found out we were siblings after meeting. Only difference is now it has made me as much of an enemy of Spade as you already are. They will be aiming for all of our heads." He could not believe exactly how trusting she was of the Spade Kingdom and did not know how to go about convincing her that they were not who she thought they were to her at all. He could only manage to shake his head when she spoke about going back and how it was their home to go back to. "I can't go back to Spade now that I protected you over following orders. I have seen what they do to those who do not follow orders and return. I'd rather take my chances in this kingdom than go back to such a place now." He spoke as they started to walk off towards the Blake Estate. "Also, you should know that even with your current condition you are still my beautiful sister that I will strive to protect as much as I can. No curse changes that." He hoped his words would strike something in her seeing as he wasn't exactly one for opening up so much to someone in the first place.
Demi stopped and listened to him her eyes closing for a moment, she couldn't believe that her parents would allow such orders to go through, however, she knew that even though they were high nobles within the Spade kingdom they still had people above them that may be pulling the strings. "I am still loyal to home Trase, even if you are not." her words were hard, they must have believed that she had turned traitor it is the only thing that made sense in her mind. It didn't exactly help that she was wearing a magic knight mantle but she needed to do what she had to, to survive. "I know of your squad Trase. You are the elites sent out only when no other squad will do." it was a well-known fact that they dealt with the most dangerous missions, it was how she had met him in the first place. "Who gave the order?" she would eventually ask wanting to get to the bottom of the mystery as quickly as possible.
"Has power changed within the kingdom in the last three years?" she asked turning to face him, she knew it was dog eat dog in the kingdom of spade, one wrong word or move could sign a death warrant but then she closed her eyes for a moment. "It could be if my family loses their heiress it puts them in a weakened state, they would have no one to carry their line." This was also a true fact, heirs and heiresses were normally targeted because families without them were seen to be weaker than those who did as the family-like would end with the parents. She had always been told that they would never be able to have another child so it made her feel more special but she had always been well guarded because of it. "Trase, if we were of the same blood you would have been raised alongside me..." she said with a sigh then again she had also heard of some nobles allowing their children to be taken to be 'improved' but she thought it was a myth.
"Well, I'm not sure about you Trase I'm quite attached to my head so let them try." she said flicking her hair a little, it was clear she still had the arrogance of a Spade noble even after all this time from being separated from it. She clenched her hands at his compliment to the point that she drew blood from the palms of her hands "I'm a freak of nature that should be put out of their misery Trase." her voice was low and cold her mana flaring "Let's get going I'll introduce you to Zaven, he'll likely get you into one of the squads so you can earn your keep." she said just wanting to get out of the conversation of her appearance and the want to destroy something because she disliked her looks or the infernal curse that she ended up having to endure.
