Kikka was quickly approaching, and though she had received training from the tall white haired male within the Common Region some time ago, as well as received a more practical 'training' in the dungeon with the strange author and his companion, Verena still felt she was unprepared. The golems she could manipulate lacked any real diversity in their abilities. Unfortunately, there was little she could do about that at this current time. The best she could do was try to learn a new element and incorporate that into her kit.[break][break]
Verena thought about trying to train her secondary element, but teaching oneself how to use their own magic was a bit difficult. Besides, as it was right now, it wasn't suited for golems yet; not at her current level. She was lucky enough to be able to create chains that could be used for binding. It was going to take some effort to figure that out, and it'd be better to do what she had always done when it came to learning magic: learning from another.[break][break]
So that meant needing to ascertain her golems strengths and weaknesses a bit more effectively and utilize them in such a manner where she could create a proper formation so as to more effectively protect herself and others.[break][break]
Verena had found herself in one of the many forests that were in the Common Region; she wasn't sure about what the name was, but she had traveled through here many times, and it was familiar enough territory where she could hopefully train without risking bothering anyone. The area was nice and clear though there were tons of trees surrounding the space to allow for privacy, and for when she eventually tired, she'd already set up a camp nearby so that she could rest. It was at the bottom of a cliff--specifically, near at the foot of a small 'waterfall'. This was one of her favorite areas, as if she needed to she had the means to shower.[break][break]
Of course, she had already finished that before setting up camp. This meant while she still had daylight, it was vital that she take advantage of the opportunity provided to her to train.[break][break]
Because she was training, she felt it appropriate to keep her hair out of her face, and as a result opted to keep it in the lengthy twin tails. However, the Reinsberg had also removed her thick white coat, placing it on the ground nearby. Instead, she was wearing her dark blue jumpsuit, with the thin gray stripes coming down vertically down it. She wore a sleeveless black dress over it as well, with red stitch marks that frilled in a manner resembling fire due to its crimson color. The dress did not cover the jumpsuit in its entirety, exposing a part of her chest and parts of her legs if not for the jumpsuit.[break][break]
"It's okay," Verena thought to herself. "Nobody will come out here. Nobody will bother me. I can do this..."
Verena usually kept her coat on because the attire itself was form fitting. It left little to the imagination as a result, and that was embarrassing to the Noble. However, she couldn't deny that it was the most comfortable thing she could wear and was both easy to clean and easy to pack, and as long as she had spent riding in the palm of an earth golem, seeking comfort only made sense. Perhaps it would be a good time to take the cloth golem seriously...[break][break]
"Summoner Creation Magic: Gaia's Blessing. Summoner Creation Magic: Phaunus' Gift. Summoner Creation Magic: Song of the Muses," she said aloud as she stared at the three golems, grimoire floating in the air.[break][break]
The fair skinned beauty examined each of her three golems. Gaia was best suited nearby. It was slow, but powerful and reliable. It was what had kept her safe this long, and she hoped it would continue to do so. Phaunus, however, had a bit more mobility. That meant that it would be best poised as her only attacker, as it also possessed a bit more strength. However, it was still very much up to the task of defense... if it had more health. Regardless, it would best serve her vanguard. Which left Muses; that was a no brainer. It would be her beacon in Kikka. If something went awry, or if she needed to contact others, she could use this as a communicating method. She hoped, at least.[break][break]
"...Now then, with that formation in mind, how do I want to go about trying to be useful to the others in Kikka..." Verena inquired aloud.[break][break]

This Perk allows your Golems to start with a bonus of +3 to its Durability, Power, and Sensory Stats. At Grand Rank this bonus increases to +5. If this Perk is applied to a Balanced Golem these bonuses increase to +5 and +10 instead.

Description: Utilizing earthern mana, Verena constructs a bipedal golem made up of various types of rocks and stone. Various rocks protrude from it's forearms, knees, and from the back of it's head down it's back, akin to spikes... but if spikes were blunt, like incredibly small hills, no larger than a full grown man's leg, though each of these tend to differ in size. These rocks are placed over thicker and more durable rocks that function akin to an armor plating, but don't offer any defense beyond the normal body itself.[break][break]
A golem created via Gaia's Blessing's head is stretched out just a bit, giving it's forehead the impression of a hammer due to the bluntness in which it appears. Though it possess' decent strength as a result of it's size and build, the more devastating thing it can do is headbutts. Of course, it is still a Junior ranked golem, so it is incapable of dealing any truly devastating damage. These golems will usually stay near Verena, and rarely leave her side. She often uses them to ride upon.[break][break]
Verena is able to create one (1) golem per ten (10) control she has at once, maxing out at five. Due to Summoner, she gets an Earth affinity bonus (+1 Durability), in addition to her Puppet Master and Reinforced Golems perk.[break]

Description: Summoner Creation: Phaunus' Gift is made utilizing mana with Wood Affinity. The golem itself is incredibly simple in design. It's a humanoid golem made from wooden branches that have been smoothed out, and then banded together with more limber wood to hold it in place, like a wicker basket. The golem is incredibly basic and barebones in it's functionality, only punching and kicking to assail it's enemies. Still, due to it's simplicity, it is incredibly easy to control, and effective for most other tasks she may need them for.[break][break]

Description: Unlike Verena's previous golems, Song of the Muses is not quite humanoid in appearance. It possesses three heads on a body that is on all fours, akin to a dog in that sense. The body seems to be constantly in a state of flux, a result of a seemingly unstable summon. In truth, this is just because Verena does not quite yet have a true mastery of the element, making it ill suited for combat at this point in time. Each head resembles the bust of a human statue superimposed on a four legged animal. The body itself lacks a tail, and if it was to stand on its rear legs, it would reach the maximum height for a balanced golem at this current level.[break][break]
Because this golem is still in a state of 'instability', it is ill-suited for combat, something Verena is already aware of. To counter this flaw, each head of Song of the Muses is capable of producing a single pitch, unique to each head. The head on the left can emit a sound that is solely capable of being measured at 493.88 hz, the one in the middle is capable of emitting a sound solely measured at 698.46 hz, and the head on the right is capable of emitting a sound that measures at 830.61 hz. These sounds effectively do nothing but are rather obnoxious if you happen to hear them. They're loud enough to be heard equal to the maximum range at this rank (twenty meters), however.[break][break]
Song of the Muses is ill suited for combat, but if absolutely necessary, it can use the three heads to headbutt. However, that's the only real offensive aspect it has. Verena is capable of spawning more of them for every ten control she has, maxing out at five total. The true utility of this golem lies in coordination with others, diversionary tactics, and alerting others. It's closer to a Scout golem in that sense, but without any of the benefits that come with such.

[attr="class","glentext"] Kikka... It was something that Charles didn't openly talk about it and about what he experienced there, though he was mostly over about what occurred there. It was still something he preferred not to openly talk about, as it was something that changed his life entirely. The silver mage had heard they were already devising a plan to take back Kikka and that they were asking any previous people who were there if they were interested and going back to reclaim the town that was taken over by the Daemons. Of course, in Charles's case, he decided to not go this time around and focus on other matters. He knew several Vice-Captains and Captains were going, including other higher-ranked members inside the ranks of the Magic Knights. It was better for him to focus on training, it was unusual on his part, but if he wasn't going to go, the least he could do is dedicate some time to training while the others risked their lives going against the Daemons once again. [break][break] Finding himself in one of the many forests inside the Common Region, Charles was looking for a place to train and use his magic. Pretty strange for the self-proclaimed lazy magic knight. The Black Bull was considering working on new spells, general magic usage, and training with his sword for close-quarters combat. Even though he mainly focused on mid to long-ranged attacks, he had to at least have some sort of ability in close-ranged combat, in order to be able to at least defend himself and fight back in those situations. He had to reinforce his weaknesses and improve his current strengths. The forest was a good place for training, taking down a tree by accident wasn't an issue and the chances of encountering someone were extremely low, aside from mana beasts, which he could easily get rid of. [break][break] Charles made his way down the forest, looking for a proper place to get some training started. The Black Bull brought some food and water with him in case he got hungry, he always had his necessities in order and eating was surely one of them. Suddenly, he saw something made out of earth be created behind a few trees nearby, followed by wood, and then another element he wasn't able to exactly describe just by looking at it with his eyes. "Huh?" The silver mage an eyebrow as he slowly walked towards those things he saw in the distance, he was cautious as he didn't know what they exactly were. Upon a closer look, Charles saw a young lady who in terms of appearance seemed to be around his age, judging by her clothing and look she seemed to be from the nobility. Next to her where the things he saw before, to which his own surprise was actually golems from different elements, what type of magic did she possess? "Interesting golems you got there..." The Black Bull spoke, though as expected from Charles, he wasn't really imposing and he seemed like he couldn't even harm an insect, which of course wasn't true. [break]

[attr="class","verenaver2scroll"] Verena was quite caught up in the moment. She was effectively having Gaia and Phaunus spar against one another in an attempt to ascertain the combat utility each offered. It was difficult, admittedly as she was having to order two golems simultaneously, but due to the simple construction of both, it was well within her capabilities. Due to her very astute nature when it came to golems, she planned on taking notes of the strengths and weaknesses as well as the general mobility of the golems.[break][break]
The Reinsberg knew that Gaia was slower, but sturdier. It was also powerful within close range. Phaunus, however, was more mobile; however, it would struggle in an attempt to defeat Gaia with simple brute strength. It wasn't that it lacked the same power--far from it. It was stronger. Gaia simply was more durable than it was stronger, albeit not by too much. But the way it was built also gave it an edge, being able to use the blunt protrusions jutting out of its body. Not to mention all it would take was one decisive blow from Gaia to defeat Phaunus.[break][break]
Still, the largest issue from what she could observe was that her golems had little in the presence of true combat. They could land powerful enough strikes for their effective rank, but could do little in the way of actually keeping opponents at bay. As it was, this was just a slugfest that offered her little in the way of any form of protection. Anything that could match her golems in size would likely result in her own safety being at risk. Which meant that she needed to ready another golem.[break][break]
Cloth was one such element she could make use of, but only recently. There weren't exactly many cloth magic users in the kingdom as far as she knew; she was lucky to learn this magic when she did, albeit fairly recently. So her use of it wasn't quite level with where she'd like it to be. However, she had trained off and while with Jorah and the dungeon; thus she was feeling a bit more confident in her approach.[break][break]
The mana that composed cloth was fundamentally fluid but solid. That thought in mind, it was best to picture something akin to her dress and how it flowed when the outside forces that be, such as the wind, or when folding it up. It was perhaps a little strange to imagine her own article of clothing being used as the source of inspiration, but mental images when creating Spells were important, and thus it would play a fundamental role.[break][break]
Verena outstretched her arms, causing mana to encircle this little training grounds of hers while her two golems fought. For now, she'd concentrate on the control of the mana, allowing it to run rampant. The mental image of the dress itself was important. Thus, she bound the mana so that it would be sufficiently connected, woven together like a rope. Then, using this residual mana, she began tying it together. More and more, creating a thick layer of what looked akin to a very thick rope--though it lacked the same texture and was instead more just fabric.[break][break]
When it came to golemancy, the creation of golems came like second nature to her. This was in large part due to her status as a summoner. Once she had a firm understanding and clear picture of how to manipulate the mana, it was just a hop, skip, and a jump away from forming the golem. And that was because the formation of the Spell was dependent on her own imagination--something she had a strong thing of.[break][break]
For her build-a-golem workshop, starting from the ground up was her usual approach, allowing for stability. For the sake of transportation, it would be best suited if it was bipedal. She also needed a strong, but sturdy offensive golem. The idea of it having a massive arm was already something she considered, and thus the lower body would need to be able to support such a frame. The left-arm would serve as the sword and shield, and the right would be just large enough to carry her in its hand.[break][break]
With both the mental image of the golem and the mana at her disposal to use to form it, Verena could begin the process of making that imagination reality. Starting from the feet, she had the cloth form feet, albeit lacking toes. Something as intricate as toes were beyond her expertise; she was quite familiar with anatomy, but in all cases so far, she had yet to make toes that she could pride in. She made the irregularly shaped oval as well, as she caused the mana to stack up. It was akin to making a three-dimensional construct, in a sense.[break][break]
The dispersed mana was being pulled in to the formation of this new golem, effectively being assimilated and given material form in the shape of cloth of various shades of brown--mostly tan in nature, however. Verena was concentrating hard on pulling the mana she had dispersed into this new golem. The image and the manipulation being applied simultaneously was always the most difficult aspect of Spell Creation--specifically, with golems. It required a great deal of focus, something she was using every ounce of in the creation of this spell.[break][break]
The lower body was the most important aspect of this golem. It would need to be made sturdy to support the weight from the upper body. Without it, even with mana, it would end up toppling over and being useless. Using her anatomical knowledge due to her own bookwormish nature, Verena conjured up the lower body, weaving it into the feet as she created a "knot" with this fabric to tie it together, reinforced with mana. With that down, she was able to make the torso. The torso would be made much smaller compared to the lower body, but the right arm was easy to make. The woven fabric neatly tied together to form its structure. For the left arm, however--a huge portion of the dispersed mana was made to form the cloth. Over and over again, she tied it together, reinforcing it with mana. She repeated this process several times over, making an incredibly durable arm--at least, by her current standards. That was good enough, at least.[break][break]
Finally, she could give it true form--a tarp of a sort appeared over the golem via the mana she dispersed, and the last of it no less. This tarp was used to effectively hide all the intricacies of her work so that none would see how the golem worked from an eye alone. This tarp tightly contained itself over the golem, but hid all the inner knots. And thus:[break][break]
"I name you: Arachne's Heartache," Verena said as she stared at her piece.[break][break]
The golem suddenly dispersed, appearing in her grimoire after she had given it a name.[break][break]
"Hm? A-Ah... thank you. I uhm... take a bit of pri-Eh?"[break][break]
Verena heard Charles at the very end, even if it was a delayed reaction on her part. She didn't immediately realize that he was there, and was likely watching this. Immediately, Verena panicked as she ran for her coat, aiming to put it on. She didn't want to be seen like this, after all. Why was the comfiest of clothes always so...[break][break]
Quickly tossing her coat over her head, Verena slid her arms through it before looking at Charles. He was a Black Bull... what was a Black Bull doing here? She didn't know too much about them, let alone the one before her, but she had heard a lot of nasty rumors. One such about the promiscuous vice-captain. "Uh-Uhm... c-c-can I help you?" she nervously asked.[break][break]
Meanwhile, her own golems had finished fighting, dispersing as a result. She ultimately decided to disperse her Sound golem, too, thus leaving the scenery to Charles and Verena alone.

[attr="class","glentext"] The girl in front of him seemed to possess a strange type of magic. The golems were of different elements and she just recently had named one, which was quite odd. He has heard of people who were able to possess two elements at the time, the Black Bull knew someone himself who could do that, but three elements? That was impossible, he had never heard of someone like that, aside from copy mages. Judging by her clothing Verena seemed to be from nobility and maybe find herself training just like him. A lot of questions quickly raised inside the silver mage's mind, though it was better to ask her directly. [break][break] As soon as Verena finished her training, she turned towards him. Her initial reaction upon seeing him made Charles believe that he startled her unintentionally. The way she spoke at first made him believe she was nervous. Though he didn't appear like it, the silver mage was quite perceptive and analytical. Due to his time as a Magic Knight, he naturally began to learn body language when people were up to no good. By the looks of it, Verena just seemed to be training. Her clothing also made her look like she was of noble origin. "Eh? No, it's fine... I was just looking for a place to train and saw your training. It caught my attention and couldn't help, but see what's up... You have some interesting magic, I've never seen anything like it before." The Black Bull gave her a reply, it possible that she could be nervous over the fact that he was a Black Bull. It was not the first time he had to deal with something like that, the Black Bulls were renown as a squad of misfits. This often generated mistrust in them. The silver mage knew for a fact that they weren't as bad as people made them believe they were and he considered them a family. As they have helped him in multiple situations. Physically speaking, Charles looked harmless, as someone that couldn't even harm a fly. There was the fact that he was wearing the mantle, proof that he was a Magic Knight. [break][break] "I don't normally see people in the forest. I assume you were training or something?" Charles asked Verena what she was doing. His only assumption was that she was training her golems. The forest was a good place to train, so it would be no surprise if the Black Bull was right about that. The silver mage took a seat in a rock that was close to him and stretched his arms. If he was going to stay here longer than usual might as well get a bit comfortable and take a seat. Charles had several questions about her, but he could tell she was a bit nervous about the sudden encounter. Bombarding her with questions would probably put a lot of pressure on her, which was something the silver mage didn't desire. [break]

[attr="class","verenaver2scroll"] Verena did not exactly enjoy showing off her magic to others. Moving a finger to her cheek, she scratched it, tilting her head ever so lightly as she let out a faint awkward laugh. It usually resulted in a bombardment of questions, and she was one who preferred to avoid the spotlight altogether. But now that she had her coat on, it seemed she was a little bit more at ease. The fact it was a man to begin with who took note of her at all was cause for more concern, though it didn't seem like this was one who was interested in that sort of thing. All the more reason for her gratefulness.[break][break]
Much to her surprise, however, the Bull didn't bombard her with questions. She noticed that he seemed quite receptive to her own panic. "The exception and not the rule was it, Cyrus?" Verena thought to herself as she took a moment to try to get an idea of who this stranger was before her.[break][break]
Verena already knew that he was a Black Bull so she expected some sort of high energy personality, but that wasn't the case given he didn't bombard her with questions. It was more or less impossible for people to not satiate their curiosity when someone demonstrated the ability to manipulate a variety of magics--it wasn't that she could blame them. She herself would leap with excitement at such an opportunity. Unlike the stranger before her, she doubted she'd be able to control that excitement.[break][break]
The Bull seemed content that she was there--though he admitted he was about to use this space for some training. "A-Ah... uhm... I see. O-Ordinarilly, I'd offer to leave, but... I'm preparing for something big soon... so I can't waste too much time..." she began to say. "I-If it's okay, I'd like to remain here and train my magic a bit. I'm not good at fighting, but I need to be able to defend myself so I don't weigh down the others..."[break][break]
He naturally commented on her magic, causing Verena to disperse her last remaining golems. She seemed a bit uncomfortable to talk about it, but ultimately let out a sigh. There was no reason to be this shy when talking about her magic. The Reinsberg was, after all, quite pleased to have such a rare gift and connection to the elements. It was comforting to her.[break][break]
"...I use a rare type of magic known as Summoning. I can make golems from any element, though I only have four right now... Arachne's Heartache was a type of golem I've been working on for a while, but there's not exactly an abundance of cloth mages willing to teach their craft aside from one. She's passed away since then though..."[break][break]
Verena seemed quite ... sad about this loss. It seemed whoever this woman that helped her with cloth magic was someone she was pretty close to.[break][break]
"A-Anyways, erm... I'm very sorry, I didn't mean to make the topic so depressing. Yes, I was training... I-I'm not really sure what I'm doing... using golems to train with is quite difficult."

[attr="class","glentext"] Charles was able to tell, in just the short amount he met Verena. She seemed like a very reserved person, she didn't speak much and didn't interact with people a lot for whatever reason. He wasn't quite sure if she was from nobility or not, her clothing made her seem like she was from a noble family, but her personality was quite the opposite. As the girl seemed to be shy and reserved, not really that social, and preferred to be alone. The Black Bull was interested in her magic as it was something he had never seen before. She summoned four different golems, all from different elements. It was impressive someone could do that, he also noticed that all spells were golems. [break][break] The initial expectation would normally be some sort of super-energetic personality. In reality, was that Charles quite the opposite of all of that. He was the laziest member inside the Black Bulls, even though lately you could argue that he wasn't the same he used to. Kikka changed him, mentally speaking. So he wasn't as lazy as he used to be, but would never stop him from slacking off whenever he had the chance. The silver mage might as well use the fact that he just met Verena as an excuse to slack off and train later, even though it was something he needed to do. Verena's magic interested Charles and excited him to a certain degree, but he wasn't the type of person to openly show his excitement unless that excitement was too much to be controlled. "Oh? Eh, don't worry about it. I wouldn't kick you off, you were here before me anyway." She caught his attention completely the moment she mentioned something big. "Something big? What exactly?" The Black Bull related to her the moment she said she didn't want to weigh down others. It was something he felt back in Kikka, even though his failure wasn't entirely his fault. If he wasn't such a lazy person, he would've been able to have done more. This brought in a sense of guilt to him. It was the same reason why he was here in the first place. He didn't want to weigh down others if the Daemons attacked again. "You don't want to weigh down the people surrounding you, huh... Well, I have to admit, that's the same reason as to why I'm here. Feel free to remain here, you wouldn't mind if I join you, right?" [break][break] Charles paid attention to Verena who gave him a brief explanation about her magic. Summoner Magic, a type of magic that allowed her to take elements from any type of element. She said she could only have four for the time being and was looking to train a cloth golem and stated that there weren't a lot of cloth mages in the Kingdom, which was in fact true. The silver mage assumed that certain conditions needed to be met in order for Verena to create a golem, in this case, have someone from the desired element to help her out. "Oohhh, that's pretty cool. You have really interesting and unique magic. So you can create a golem from any magic as long as you have someone to teach you? That's nice. It will be nice to see a silver golem... I'm sorry for your loss." It seemed like whoever that cloth mage, she was close with her. The only thing Charles could do was to give her his condolences for her loss. [break][break] "Don't worry about it, everyone has a sad story behind them, someway, somehow... Well... Have you ever fought using your golems? I think having someone to use your golems to fight with will increase your ability to use them in combat. Learning how to use them strategically to gain the upper-hand in a battle is also a good option, but learning how to use them in combat would be a good first step, if you plan using them for that purpose, of course." Charles suggested having someone to train them with, in this case, him. Of course, the two could benefit from training, while he had enemies to fight, golems. Verena could use this to gain some experience in controlling the golems in combat. [break]

Unlike Charles, Verena wasn't able to gauge that much of his personality. It wasn't that she didn't get a read on him at all, but she was dealing with a Magic Knight--a Black Bull no less. They all had larger than life personalities from what little she knew of them. Yet this one didn't seem to wear his heart on his sleeve. He wasn't uninterested, but he also wasn't blasting her with questions. He wasn't heartless, but he was quick to dismiss her apology. He seemed quite... normal, in fact. Like the type of commoner personalities that she'd grown acquainted with. She found them far more pleasant than the Nobles that she had to deal with back home.[break][break]
Charles didn't come off as battle-hardened, especially as young as he appeared. That wasn't to say there was too much a gap in their age, and he had still likely been in battle far more than she had, but he couldn't have been that much older than her if he was at all. He admitted that he was here to train as well, not that she could blame him. But the truth was she did not mind in the slightest. "It's erm... it's quite alright. I'm camped up just ahead, so it's not as though I couldn't come back here at any time... but if you insist..." she awkwardly spoke, uncertain.[break][break]
At nothing else, he seemed diligent. By this point, she'd been familiar with the documents going over Kikka, including the names and faces of the people involved with the reclamation effort, but he wasn't on this list. She couldn't recognize him by face, either. So he was probably a fairly low ranking of the Bulls, but one striving to be more. At least, that was the first impression she had of Charles. Ultimately though, it was still off, and she knew it. [break][break]
The brunette was an observer, one who never involved herself with others, but ultimately always still wanted companionship. So she always watched people from a distance, and normally was able to get an idea of the type of person that they were. For her, that was good enough sometimes. But she couldn't do that with this Black Bull. She couldn't get an assessment on him, and there were no other clues. Perhaps if she was simply observing, it might be different. Things always complicated when needing to actually speak to someone. That's how she felt, at least. It was so much easier with Suna...[break][break]
Verena had decided to put off answering what this something big was for the time being but answered a different question. "Having someone more familiar with fighting would be quite helpful for me, so... it would be quite appreciated..." she admitted. "Being able to know what the golems are going to do before they do it makes it difficult to effectively train with them, after all..."[break][break]
Charles more or less hit the nail on the hammer when confirming how Verena was able to make a variety of golems. Verena calmly dismissed the condolence, however, something he tacked on at the very end of praising her magic. "I appreciate the sentiment, but she was old and in poor health. I'm grateful for what she was able to do for me, and I hope I was able to do enough for her before she passed away. She was a good woman. My magic itself isn't anything extraordinary, but I'm quite happy with it all the same. It's helped me gain an appreciation for all the types of magic and golems alike in this world. But yes, as long as there's someone who's willing to teach me, or at least show me how they use their magic, I can probably figure something out."[break][break]
Verena felt a little awkward about sharing that much about herself; it felt arrogant to say that. That all she had to do was be exposed to the magic to garner an idea of how the mana worked. Was it arrogant of her to say that? She wasn't sure; it wasn't wrong, but it felt like a brag all the same. Even still...[break][break]
"...After all, that something big is Kikka's reclamation effort. So I'm trying to prepare as best as I can."

[attr="class","glentext"] Charles had changed a bit, perhaps due to the time of day and because he wanted to dedicate some time to training his lazy mannerisms weren't showing. Verena caught the Black Bull in a rather good time of the day where he didn't seem like a living corpse like he usually did in the morning at the base. He was normal, but that's because his lazy mannerisms were rather low today. He wanted to get some training done, but that changed until he saw Verena. At this point talking to her was more or less an excuse to not train at the moment, but everything pointed that she wasn't experienced in combat. It was true, the Black Bull didn't have the appearance of someone who was battle-hardened. His laid-back and lazy attitude wasn't something you will normally expect from the more senior and experienced Magic Knights, a lot of people would normally be surprised to hear that the silver mage actually held the rank of Senior 5th Class. [break][break] "Don't worry about it, plus the forest is quite big." The Black Bull was actually the embodiment of laziness within the Magic Knight Squad. Verena was shy and introverted, she didn't seem to be too open about people and appeared to be insecure about herself and her surroundings. People usually looked at the Black Bulls as a group of misfits who were usually up to no good. If he were a member of a squad like the Golden Dawn Verena would probably not be as defensive as she was at the moment. Well, it's not like Charles really cared about being a member of the Black Bulls. [break][break] The conversation moved with Verena stating that she didn't have much experience, giving orders to golems without having any combat experience wasn't good, if she didn't know how to act in a battle or developed some sort of combat instincts then she wouldn't know how to properly give orders to golems in combat. She was a civilian and they were very instances for a civilian to find themselves in a combat situation, most people who were not in the Magic Knights used their magic to make their lives easier, help them with work, etc. "If you don't have any combat experience then you wouldn't know how to order your golems in a real battle, at least knowing what to do is necessary. Then again, I usually prefer not to fight, it's a pain in the ass..." Even though he was a Magic Knight, he didn't enjoy fighting, unlike other people who had a strange desire to fight. The silver mage only fought when necessary and most of the time he would prefer that the encounter doesn't end up in a fight. Still, even if he didn't wasn't the type of person to openly fight, he'll take the offer to help out Verena as it will also benefit him in the process. [break][break] "I see... Well, the best you can do is put into practice what she taught you. Eh... Yeah, maybe your magic isn't something extraordinary, but what makes it interesting is the fact that it's unique and quite different from the rest. It's not every day you meet someone with the ability to make golems from other elements, that on its own can be seen as impressive. Oh, that's nice then." Charles didn't feel like her comments were arrogant, compared to the number of people he has met as a Magic Knight, Verena appeared to be genuine and honest about her abilities, nor did she sound to him like she was cocky. She acknowledged she had a lot to improve, at this point, it was for him to imagine that she was from nobility given her attitude. [break][break] The look on Charles's face will take a turn as soon as he heard the word Kikka come out of her mouth, perhaps he didn't get over such an event just yet, and thinking about it gave brought back some painful memories as to what occurred. The Black Bull was aware that they were planning on taking back Kikka, he was even offered a spot in one of the teams, but the silver mage decided to decline and stay out of it for the time being. The girl in front of him actually had in mind going to Kikka, which explained why she was so serious about training. His facial expression will change to a rather thoughtful one, remaining quiet for a few seconds before replying. "So you plan on going there? Well, that was a bit unexpected... I personally didn't want to go through that hell again, but I respect you for having the courage for going to that place." This revelation caught him by surprise, but it explained why she was worried about getting better and not being a burden to the rest, Captain, Vice-Captains, and senior Magic Knights were expected to be making part of those groups. Of course, they couldn't send all of them, as they still needed to be wary and have other mages on standby in case of another attack. In Charles's case, he decided to take a step back and let the more professionals deal with this in order for him to focus on becoming stronger. [break]

Charles said not to worry about it, and Verena wasn't going to stress the issue if the Magic Knight said that it really was okay. It was less that she would not worry about it and more she could not afford to do so. She might have done some training prior, but it wasn't as if she was fully prepared for what she was going into. She knew that, of course--not that she truly realized just how bad things were in Kikka at this point in time.[break][break]
For a Black Bull, Charles was surprisingly humble. No--that wasn't the right word. He was reasonable. He neither possessed the eccentricity of his comrades, nor was he so full of himself that he believed himself entitled to the space. In all respects, it seemed quite bizarre to see someone like him donning the Black Bulls mantle. But in that same light, it was painfully obvious he was a commoner. Though there were still Squads out there that had little issue with recruiting them, there were still several that did take issue with it. Or at least, even if the Captain allowed them, that didn't mean that their squadmates or even the people in the town might be so willing. The Crimson Lions were likely the closest exception but she wasn't sure on that herself.[break][break]
So perhaps he was a Black Bull because the only other choice might have been the Green Mantis. Verena couldn't help but visibly shiver as she thought of them. Of that man. She lived with the reminder of his presence at all times, her body and its current state a constant reminder of all the things wrong with nobility. Renfir was akin to a snake, his curse akin to the venom that he had infected her with. In a sense, as long as she had this curse she would also always be weighed down, but what choice did she have? The healers of the Kingdom couldn't help her then. Why would it be different now?[break][break]
Charles next comment brought her back into the real world, snapping her out of her daze. "Oh, uhm... it's not that I have no combat experience," she said. "I wouldn't be so foolish as to enter Kikka without any. That would be suicidal."[break][break]
Not that it wasn't already.[break][break]
But his word choice cemented it. If there was any question in her mind about Charles birth, then it was crystal clear now. But that wasn't something to berate him for. It honestly made her feel more at ease. The most difficult thing about meeting new people was never really knowing who they were. That fear of the unknown was a huge factor in why the heiress chose to avoid others when and where possible, to keep them at an arms length of distance, all the while continuously gauging who they were. It was the only way she really knew how to live her life. How to survive.[break][break]
Still, while she knew commoners could be guilty of the same sins as that of those in the Noble Realm, Verena had seen more warmth come from commoners than back home. Thus, she was more comfortable around them as a general rule of thumb.[break][break]
Verena nodded her head. "I suppose that's a fair way of looking at it..." she admitted.[break][break]
Looking at it from a practical standpoint, Verena's magic was truly unique. There were few people in the world capable of using multiple elements. Paint magic only allowed for similar aesthetics but lacked the same effect. Paint magic replicating fire couldn't burn, but a fire golem she could make could.[break][break]
"...but it's also important to note that without teachers, that uniqueness is meaningless. I shouldn't ever get full of myself for something as pretentious as having rare magic. ...Still, I appreciate the praise. I'm not very good with compliments, but I truly do love the magic I was blessed with."[break][break]
There was something cheesy she could add on, but she didn't. It wasn't necessary, and vocalizing such an embarrassing notion was not something she was particularly interested in doing even if the thought crossed her mind.[break][break]
Verena fell deathly silent when Charles alluded to having been in Kikka. So that was it, then. That was why he was so familiar. It was that bad then? Well... of course it was. She had read the reports. She knew what was said. What had happened. How the Daemons had shamed the Magic Knights and taken over Kikka. No doubt it was not a memory that the man wanted to relive. She felt a little bad for even bringing it up.[break][break]
In the past, she might have silently criticized Charles. What right did he have to be alive when there were civilian casualties, allegedly by the Magic Knights themself? How incompetent did one have to be to screw that up? It was only further proof to her that they were without remorse and needed to be trained much better.[break][break]
...But after her encounter with the one who would eventually become the Vice-Captain of the Golden Dawn, Verena decided to hush such opinions. She was still just as weary of Magic Knights, but she knew she had to get over it. There was little reason to distrust her teammates in a life or death situation--in Kikka as it was now. If she was to be even more honest with herself, she was even the subject of her own ire--for having the audacity to think that to begin with. It was a miracle any of the people in Kikka had survived.[break][break]
Though a glance at the young Bull's expression painted a picture more clear than words ever could. His body survived, but he left an aspect of himself behind there, a part that he could never reclaim. She had no right to voice her opinion, nor did she show it in her body language or expression.[break][break]
"...Yes. The captains and vice-captains will unquestionably be in the fight of their lives. Someone has to be willing to help the civilians though. And of course, there's the matter of destroying the wells. The captains aren't going to be able to fight Sven and the others while also worrying about civilian lives. They can't afford to. So I have to grow stronger, so I can help protect the civilians."[break][break]
A pause.[break][break]
"...Forgive me, by the way. I didn't mean to cause any distress. I only mentioned Kikka to give you an idea of how much work I have to do. Would you still be willing to spar?"[break][break]
And then it hit her.[break][break]
Immediately, Verena clasped her hands in prayer, as if apologizing. "W-We still didn't get one another's names, did we? I'm Verena."[break][break]
Of course, her family name was redacted, as usual.

[attr="class","glentext"] Charles was somewhat humble, but this was until recently, but being reasonable was a better word to describe him. He felt like he was entitled, but he admitted he was lazy, yet he sometimes didn't see an issue with being lazy. Most of his time was spent slacking off, sleeping, or eating. Even though he wasn't openly acted like he usually did in this very moment, he pretty much possessed the attitude of a Black Bull, usually careless and not giving a crap about the opinions of others. He wasn't the one to judge and didn't care about things most of the time unless it affected him directly. The most popular squads like the Golden Dawn and Silver Eagles were made up of mostly nobles, commoners who were in those squads were usually looked down on by a lot, though allowing Commoners into the squad was usually up to the Captain. The squads like the Crimson Lions and Black Bulls usually didn't care a lot about social status and normally opened their doors to commoners and nobles alike. [break][break] "You're going to deal with a lot of things if you go there... Anyway, some combat experience will help you how to quickly adapt to those situations." Charles replied, with his first statement more or less making it seem like he was talking from personal experience, also as he was actually there. Of course, he didn't openly state it nor did Verena appear like she knew he was part of the original group. It wasn't something the silver mage openly talked about either, though he would normally say yes if he was ever asked that he took part in Kikka. It was something he preferred not to bring up if he could ever be avoided, even though he managed to deal with most of his depression and PTSD caused by being there. The memories still stuck around him, sometimes resurfacing during his dream, it was clearly a pain in the ass for him to deal with him. All he could hope is that he could one day make up for his mistake and do something good. [break][break] Commoners often had it rough, but so did Nobles, they had their own issues and had a lot of stupid responsibilities to upkeep. Often forced to become something they aren't, pursuing dreams that aren't their own. They often found themselves in a lot of family issues and if the Noble didn't follow what the rest of the family did, they were looked down on. Personally, Charles found all of those things stupid nor any point. For things like that he was glad to be a Commoner, at least when it came to his family he was more laid back nor did he had to uphold a lot of pointless responsibilities, which gave him the time to slack off. [break][break] From a more practical standpoint, Verena's magic was also quite versatile, more versatile than most magic out there. She was limited to golems only, but if she learned to master her magic she could become a force to be reckoned with. Several golems from different elements, different magical abilities. She could make up the elemental weaknesses from one of her golems with another one. Even though she only knew a few elements, if she learned more elements then it will the more versatile her magic would become. "Well, that's a good thing, at least. I've never got full of myself, but my lazy attitude made me become careless and that cost me a lot." Charles sighed, even thinking of that was rather bothersome for him. "Your magic can advantageous and versatile. Facing an enemy who mastered multiple types of golems from different elements is something, I'll rather not deal with it. It will sound like a pain in the ass. Surely a force to be reckoned with..." Lazy, but he was perceptive, he knew Verena's magic could be something else if she has access to more elements. [break][break] There was a lot of criticism from what happened at Kikka, thankfully thanks to a deal that likely cost Vice-Captain's Artemis the lives of those children were spared saved. "At least you know what to do, that's good enough. Handling the mana beasts and evacuating civilians while the Vice-Captains and Captains handle Sven and his two servants. It's alright... I know with clarity what you're up against. Yeah, we can get started." [break][break] Charles took a few steps back from Verena as she forgot to mention each other's names, it immediately hit him as well. "Oh crap! You're right... My name is Charles, good to meet you, Verena." He said rather casually with not a lot of formalities as expected from a Black Bull. His grimoire rose up and began floating near him emitting a green aura around it. Though, he didn't have a particular stance like a lot of fighters did. The silver mage extended his hand out as a beautiful shining silver spear formed on his hand. Though he wasn't particularly a close-range combatant and counted with a sheathed silver sword, he believed he was better off starting with one of his most basic spells. "Ready when you are." [break]

The puzzle that was Charles Constatine had now been, more or less, solved. That wasn't to say she understood him with complete certainty, but with everything he had said thus far, as well as what she knew and could leave up to her imagination, the Reinsberg was a lot more at ease. Her mental image of who he was made it a bit easier to trust him--though, she was still naturally wary of him for being a Magic Knight. That wouldn't go away even if the bad ones were the exception, as Cyrus said.[break][break]
Charles viewed himself as lazy, however he also was among the volunteers in Kikka. He had a strong sense of duty as a result, and an earnest desire to protect. However, Kikka badly scarred him. Of that, there could be no question. For one who thought of themself as lazy, there was little incentive to train. Combined with his laidback mannerisms, Verena could only assume that Kikka had broken him in some manner, and prior to that he only acted because it was what he thought he should do in his position, rather than a genuine earnest effort at the time.[break][break]
Well, while she wasn't going to hand over her trust entirely, she would at least do enough to trust him not to end up killing her. She wasn't exactly strong after all. More than anything though, she was curious about what type of magic he employed. It would likely be something that would allow him to fight from a distance. If he was lazy like he said, than melee was likely not his strong suit.[break][break]
But if Verena was to be honest with herself, more than anything she just wanted to see what type of magic Charles used. She wanted to keep him busy, so she could observe what he did, and how he used his magic. If he was a long-ranged fighter, it might be a bit more difficult. However, it wouldn't be impossible. Formation was everything in this case.[break][break]
Charles proceeded to layout praise after praise, but Verena couldn't help but dismiss all of it in her own mind as he laid it on her. Even if she could use a variety of magic, she couldn't master it all. Because she had such a wide array of possibilities, it meant that she couldn't master them. Even then, as versatile as golems themselves could be, it wasn't as if she could use these magics in any other way. There were always going to be limitations to what she could and could not do. She appreciated the praise, but it was just so difficult to actually accept. Still, perhaps to the Black Bull who only had one type of magic, it was still something to think of as admirable due to the rarity of being able to use a variety of magic. It'd be rude to vocalize what was going through her head.[break][break]
It was, however, reassuring to hear from someone who was involved with Kikka once all ready to hear that she had the right idea. It might have been obvious, but there were always going to be glory hounds who were well over their heads. Kikka was definitely such a thing for many mages.
"In that case..." Verena began to say, moving back roughly eight meters.
Grimoire readied, Verena summoned some of the same golems she had put on display earlier. "Summoner Creation Magic: Phaunus' Gift. Summoner Creation Magic: Gaia's Blessing. Summoner Creation Magic: Song of the Muses."[break][break]
In total, she had summoned seven golems, three of the first two and one solitary golem poised near Charles left, some six meters away from him. It remained completely motionless. This golem was bipedal, in stark contrast to Verena's others. Its shape was unstable, and it seemed constantly in a state of flux, as though it could disperse at any moment. On top of this strange bipedal body, three heads were poised, human-like but more akin to the busts one would see in art galleries. [break][break]
Meanwhile, the other two were much more stable, closer to Verena than Charles. Gaia was over twice as tall as both of them, clad in rock and dirt as it rose from the ground. Phaunus was just a little shorter than Gaia, but the way the wood was intricately woven together to make up its frame gave it a reliable enough appearance. Between these two golems, there were six.[break][break]
While Verena normally preferred to keep things a matter of quality vs quantity, she planned on distracting Charles and keeping him busy so as to get a good look at his magic and observe it. Perhaps, even, learn his own magic and surprise him. Though that was quite unlikely at her current level, the thought did sound at least a little fun. And of course, this was even assuming that she even could at all.[break][break]
Taking the initiative was normally not her style, but if she was to survive Kikka, perhaps being proactive was the best response. One earth golem remained at her side, holding her up in the air while the two others and the wood golems were used to go on the offense.[break][break]
One Phaunus was sent to strike the youth with a simple punch, coming at him at six meters a second. Meanwhile, she ordered her other golems to close in on him, aiming to pressure him. She didn't expect to be able to coordinate them to get in behind him or even beside him right away.[break][break]
Meanwhile, that Sound golem of hers remained off to the side, remaining perfectly still.

[attr="class","verenaver2scroll2"] TL;DR verena moves so there's eight meters between the two. summons seven golems--three gaia, three phaunus, one of her sound golems. she leads with a phaunus who aims to punch charles. one of the earth golems is holding her up so she's roughly 3 meters above the ground and is in the palm. muses is to charles' left, six meters away from him. she's also made sure that she can see charles, so her golems are moving around him.

[attr="class","glentext"] By now Charles managed to learn a few times about the person called Verena. While a lot of things about her were still a mystery to the silver mage. It was clear she wasn't the type of person to openly talk to people and had quite an introverted nature. She told him her first name, but the rest. It was clear that she didn't want him to know it, which was fine by him. It's not like she was acting any suspicious, but rather appeared to be generally shy. The reason as to why that was the case was unknown to him. He wasn't going to judge that and whatever reasons she had, they were likely to be serious. Unlike many Magic Knights, Charles didn't have much of a sense of duty until now... Kikka made him realize how much of a threat the Daemons were to the Kingdom. The Captains and Vice-Captains of the Magic Knight Squads were strong, but not invincible and were still vulnerable to dying in battle. He had to get stronger and improve his weaknesses if he wanted to something than just watch and fuck up in the next challenge then training was necessary whether he enjoyed it or not. [break][break] It was rare for Charles to fight someone with rare magic like Verena. Her magic was strange as it only allowed her to create golems, but she could also create golems from any element as long as someone taught her how to use it. Not only that this was one of the very few times where the silver mage fought multiple opponents. The summoner mage created a total of seven golems. A single golem was close to his left, around six meters away from him. The golem was biped by different from the rest. It also looked quite unstable, as if Verena had yet to master using that golem, maybe she was having a hard time maintaining it? If she could use different elements for her golems it also meant that she needed to learn how to properly use them. That seemed like the only logical explanation as to why that golem looked less stable than the other ones she created. [break][break] Verena kept two of the golems close to her, despite all of this she still thought of a way to defend herself with the golems. Fighting against multiple opponents could be problematic if there wasn't good to keep track of them. Charles's sensory wasn't that good and that was a weakness Verena could possibly exploit, but she wasn't aware of that yet and for now, he was going to try to give his best and camouflage that weakness as much as he could. The summoner mage began to move her golems. One of her wood golems went to attack him at six meters per second, moving just a bit faster than him, but enough for him to react. A simple punch coming at him to which the Black Bull moved towards the right, dodging the incoming punch. He decided to counter-attack and attempted to stab the ground with the silver spear. If he managed to hit the golem with lightning will come out of it and create an AoE attack within 10 meters of where the spear hit the golem that deals [Junior] damage. A rather strange quality came to light, Charles's silver magic was quite different from the rest due to the lightning properties it possessed. This was something not a lot of mages had and people were normally caught off guard to such a thing. [break]

The deliberately let the golem take the hit; not because it couldn't be avoided (though it would most certainly have been hit), but to obtain a clearer picture of what her opponent was working with.[break][break]
Verena took especially note of how the mana reacted. She might not have been a keen sensor just like Charles, but she was still quite capable of attuning to the mana in the area. It helped that one of the primary reasons she proposed a sparring session was to try to see Charles magic up close. If she could have a fraction of what he had, it might just help her survive in Kikka.[break][break]
She could tell the mana itself was rigid. As expected of a metal-based magic, however. It must have had a high durability factor. So then, what was that strange sensation surrounding the mana in the seconds before the lance formed...?[break][break]
She had been so focused on observing the way the mana formed that she hadn't even contemplated the attack covering a wide area. The only thing she could do was command her remaining golems to get away, as well as herself. But it was too late. In an instant, all but her Earth golems were destroyed. Thankfully, she still had a platform with her golem, but she had no real way to actually avoid this attack. Not between the lag in command and her own distraction.[break][break]
Letting out a shrill as the lightning made it's way to the golem, the caster herself was not necessarily safe from the attack. Even if under normal circumstances, she'd be safe from lightning in this manner, this was not 'normal circumstances'. Magic did not strictly obey in a logical manner that it should. If not for her mana skin, this might have hurt a lot worse.[break][break]
Fascinating. There was no other way to describe Verena's opinion of Charles' Silver magic. The oddity gave a unique ability to his offensive prowess, capable of dealing burns as well as the blunt and piercing potential. Still, as intrigued by it as she was, she was in more pain. She was no masochist; she had very little tolerance for pain. But in that very slight instance, the woman had figured an important aspect how Silver magic effectively operated. Though that knowledge did very little right now.[break][break]
"Summoner Creation Magic: Song of the Muses," she ordered, summoning the golem fifteen meters away from Charles to his east.[break][break]
This time, she wouldn't make the same mistake of just seeing his hand. She couldn't really afford to, not with the premise she based this sparring on at least.[break][break]
As once more her sound golem appeared, so too did she order her two Earth golems--neither of which was holding her--forward so as to attack Charles with any method that they might have available. But that wasn't all she was going to do.[break][break]
A command was sent to one of her golems, but due to the very slight lag, it didn't take affect right away. Taking advantage of this momentary lag, Verena also used a third spell:[break][break]
"Carbon Restraining Magic: Chains of the Past," she declared as two chains of carbon sprung up from the earth, barreling right towards Charles from their same eight meters of space.[break][break]
As this spell was declared, so too was an ear piercing cry that came from Charles' east. All three heads at once let out their obnoxious and loud noise, shrill and painful to the ears, especially at the volume at which it was executed at. Verena had to put her hands over her ears, though even that caused her some pain as a result of the minor burns she had recieved. This was probably one of her best chances to land a hit in, and she'd be a fool not to take advantage of the opportunity she had hopefully created.[break][break]
Of course, if the chains managed to connect, that meant that Charles own mobility would be a bit more hampered. It'd make it easier for her two golems to land a hit on on him. That was the hope, at least.[break][break]
Still, she couldn't stop but think about the boy's silver magic. The mana was rigid. Similar to her earth and carbon mana elements that she knew. The mana preferred to exist strongly together. From what little she did manage to see of it before the attack happened, this mana seemed... to have it's own personality, not unlike sound magic. It liked to be seen To shine. Whether or not that was the result of the oddity that Charles had developed with his mana or not was beyond her knowledge, but if she was to make that mana hers, she needed to learn the structure.

[attr="class","verenaver2scroll2"] TL;DR verena loses all of her current golems besides her earth golems, who are now at junior health. she remains in one of her earth golems. she summons a new sound golem and uses it's ability to emit sound very loudly and slightly painfully (note: this does not cause any instance of damage; it's just obnoxious and loud). she also uses her chains using the slight lag, so the chains appear first, then the noise. following up on that, two golems charge at her (remaining two junior health earth golems)[break][break]

Imprisonment of a God: This perk causes your restraining base spells to naturally have in increase durability of +5.
Description: A single chain made of carbon matter spring up from the ground in front of Verena. These chains will seek to bind themselves to the ankles of a target that is directly in front of her. Once attached to a target, they tightly wrap around their ankles, making moving much more difficult. This is because the chains are using Verena's own mana to cause the muscles to stiffen up. Naturally, this does hurt, but doesn't actually cause any lasting damage, either. In addition, unless the chains are destroyed, Verena's magic runs out, or she's more than twenty-five meters away, the target will not be able to move more than twenty-five meters past where they were caught at.[break][break]
Verena can create more chains per ten control she has, however as they attempt to bind a person, clashing rules allow a person to break free.

[attr="class","glentext"] A rather unexpected attack from Charles's part. As the lightning surged within the area of effect that was ten meters around him. Verena and her golems were within the spell's range and it was pretty much impossible for her to dodge the spell. It moved fast and the Summoner Mage was likely not expecting the Silver magic from someone she just meant to posses the properties of lightning in an attack that would hit her and her golems within range. Such strange properties was something a lot of people would consider fascinating. If Verena decided to ask the silver mage after their friendly spar is over this wouldn't be the first time or the last time someone would question it. In a real battle, this property could prove to be a threat if the person was a real threat, but after Kikka the Black Bull realized that he had to be careful with the lightning properties of his magic and think more to when he should apply them. [break][break] Metal-based magic had the ability to take the powerful properties of lightning magic. Since silver was a conductive material having lightning flow through the entire spear was an easy task and when it was time to deliver the blow have the lightning flow hit the ground to release the accumulated electricity in an attempt to damage the enemy or enemies in his position. That's how it worked, it was something powerful and advantageous that could put his magic in a better position than the rest in certain situations, but that also meant he had to be careful when he wanted to use such things. They were and a forest and knew for a fact that a weak spell like that would not do much to Verena or any of the landscape nearby. The Summoner Mage's body looked fragile, it looked like she could easily crumble if hit with enough force. The attack didn't do much to Verena because of her mana skin, which was in a way a good thing. Charles didn't have healing magic and if Reinsberg were to get hurt then he'll have to take her someone so she can get treated. Which was something the silver mage would like to avoid if necessary. [break][break] The attack took out most of Verena's golems except for the three earth golems that remained and the additional sound golem she decided to summon 15 meters away from him towards the east. It seemed like those earth golems were more resistant to his attack from the rest. This is something he would take into consideration the next time he attacks, regardless if they were stronger they probably wouldn't be able to take much more hits from his spells. Verena used a rather unexpected move, she used Carbon Matter magic to create chains of carbon that were sent barreling towards his direction. This caught the silver mage off guard, he never considered that the Summoner Mage would also possess another type of magic aside from her Summoner Magic. In his mind, he thought that Verena could only summon golems and didn't possess other magic that could possibly restrain him. Charles didn't consider this and for that, he would pay the price as he was expecting the golems to move first. His mobility was now hampered and the Black Bull felt slower than usual because of the carbon chains. [break][break] Shortly after Verena used her restraining spell on Charles the golems began to move towards his direction in an attempt to attack him now that his mobility was reduced. The silver mage was also somewhat stunned by the sound golem's scream, but it didn't stop him from continuing and trying to counter what was ahead of him. A predictable move, but a good one nonetheless. "Silver Magic: Silver Wave." The silver mage declared as he touched the ground, creating a single silver spike that came out of the ground and went towards the direction of one of the three golems that were heading towards him. If it hits the spell would deal [Junior] damage to the golem. "Silver Magic: Silver Spike." Followed up by his previous spell, the Black Bull stomped the ground and created a large silver spike that came from the ground and was headed towards the direction of the second golem coming towards him. If it hits the golem, it would deal [Intermediate] damage to it. Unfortunately for Charles, his mobility was reduced by half and it meant that he was inevitably going to get hit by any of the remaining golems. They were much faster than him and with his speed reduced dodging was going to be a bigger problem for him. [break]

The Summoner was pretty sure that Charles was holding back, and though she was thankful for it, as being overwhelmed would not make for good practice, that didn't mean she was especially fond of being looked down upon. She was, after all, a noble. The woman had nothing really against Commoners; it was just her family's--no, the society of nobles as a whole that looked down on them, but as a result she had to as well. Though she did not do it in the same way others would, she just did not want to lose to a commoner. Even still, she wasn't so blinded by senseless pride that had been a part of her since her birth that she didn't realize that Charles was very much stronger than she herself was; defeat was very likely. But still, she had to win--to prove to herself that she could.[break][break]
At least, that's what she was telling herself. But the reality was she was far more interested in Charles' magic. Silver was a durable element, and it was one that had far more possibility than earth as its utility went beyond just defense. She already knew what she planned on doing with such a golem; it was just a matter of being able to pick up on the mana itself. Verena was admittedly impressed with it; the lightning oddity that came with it was the result of some sort of abnormallity within his mana, but she knew that metals were conductive. This combination might have been strange, but even she could tell the youth was not using it to its fullest potential against her. It might have been because of the environment too, but she had little reason not to believe it was because of her own delicate looking build. Meanwhile, she was doing everything she could...[break][break]
But she lacked any impressive mana regenerative abilities as things stood, and with over half of her mana depleted, things were looking really bad really quickly. She at least had the mage restrained, making him a much easier target to hit. Even her earth golems would be able to deal with him now, but the issue was that he had stronger magic that could be used to attack from all angles. Verena realized that if she was going to try to beat him, straight forward tactics weren't going to work. So then, the best thing she could do in this moment was...[break][break]
Verena had her last earth golem place her on the ground, before dispersing all of her golems. The restraints were still placed on Charles, however. "Carbon Restraining Magic: Chains of the Past," she calmly called out as more a total of three more chains appeared; however, they weren't intended for Charles; all of these were intended to go after his grimoire itself.[break][break]
Regardless if she managed to catch his grimoire amidst his lowered mobility, the woman still decided to make things a little different. So far, she'd been relying on numbers, which had pressured him, but it made very little difference at the end as he could disperse them with ease. Still, she also knew that at her current level she was incapable of producing a golem that was significantly more durable than what she could do; it was effectively a pointless endeavor.[break][break]
And so, a total of three of this newly made golem spawned. One was four meters away from Charles, another was two meters behind him to his right, and one remained directly infront of Verena. The first earth of her newly made golems was given the order to attack Charles with the full force it could muster. It only had to move a single meter to acheieve that, as Charles was in range due to it's abnormally proportioned body to achieve this result. If it wasn't for the chains on Charles, there was a much higher chance of him being able to appropriately counter, and though it wasn't impossible that he couldn't now, the chances were less likely.[break][break]
If it did manage to land the swipe, he would have found himself being hit right into the cloth golem behind him, which had the order of swiping him with the full force it could muster as well to knock him back a total of seven meters should this hit manage to land as well, akin to playing ping pong with him. This would have made the total distance between the two 15 meters, but Verena didn't bother wasting time and was moving forward on foot herself so she wouldn't end up losing the advantage with her limited range for these golems; she had to rely on more durable ones, after all.[break][break]
As the brunette advanced forward, she thought more about his Silver Magic. As a result of the lightning oddity, seeing it in battle was a bit more difficult. It made it more difficult to try to notice what seperated it and how to train it. She could tell what it favored, but in the chaos of battle, it was really difficult to really notice it, even if this was a mock battle. Even still, she couldn't truly take her mind off of it. Of the metal based magics, Silver was the more 'neutral' territory, known for offering the strengths of both gold and copper magic, though not necessarily as powerful as gold. Even still, the lightning augmentation around it made it just as powerful (arguably). It was impressive, for sure.[break][break]

Description: Arachne's Heartache takes the form of a many layered bipedal creature wrapped in various layers of cloth. Due to its nature as a Guardian Golem, it is four meters in size, with one arm large enough to carry a person in the palm of its hand--specifically, its right arm. The golem is incapable of moving faster than three meters per second when transporting a person. The fabric itself semes to be folded alongside a variety of other fabric, though the main color seems to be various shades of brown. On the left part of its chest, one red patchwork is visible in a circular shape, albeit rough. The golem lacks a clear head despite being bipedal, instead just containing arms and legs.[break][break]
The golems left hand is what it uses for attacking as well as defending due to it's massive prportion, easily being roughly the size of its body. This arm is especially bundled tightly together, and a variety of cloth has been seemingly stitched in red fabric across the golem's entire arm, giving the impression this arm was sewed on.[break][break]
This same arm serves as its primary form of attack and defense--that is to say, it shields whomever it is transporting in its right hand with its left. Due to the many layers of cloth all interwined so tightly together, it can cause blunt damage to whatever it hits with it, while also having a three meter reach. When using the arm in a sweeping like motion, it can cause knockback damage to occur, starting at 2 meters but increasing by an additional 5 meters for every 10 [POW] it has.[break][break]
The golem's lower body is designed to support the massive left arm, but as a result it has poor mobility, befitting of a Guardian golem.[break]
