At a window seat table of a quaint street side teahouse sat Bijou, a girl of 15 wearing a fluffy dress that wouldn’t be out of place on any well off merchant’s daughter, it was a little too avant garde to be quite the typical conservative noble’s regalia. The girl huffed as she took a sip of her tea and promptly poured it into a nearby potted plant.
“Vi, we have a problem~”
Bijou said, while raising her hand and ordering another cup-----a different flavor this time.
“You see~ and it’s really my fault I suppose~ but~ I appear to have made a very grave error~”
Bijou sighed like a forlorn princess and she raised one hand hand placed upon her cheek.
“What I am trying to say~ is that in my infinite kindness~ I have forgotten to collect the monthly tithe from my citizens~! ~I am sure you very well realized but were simply being polite while waiting for me to notice~ thank you for your patience Vi~ what a fine and understanding partner you are~”
Moving her hand, Bijou allowed the new glass of tea to be placed before her before taking a sip. Nodding her approval to the staff girl, Bijou poured the new cup into the potted plant the moment she turned her back. Bijou, you see, wished to try all of the flavors in the shop.
“While it grieves my heart so, it is of course my royal duty to exact right and fulfilling taxes yes? Is it not so? If I did not do this, if -we- did not do this, then how could their common minds decipher what it is they are working for in life? ----How they are meant to fit within the greater picture? And so you see dear Vi, that by being kind I have been horribly cruel and left my people without purpose or meaning in their lives. I must do due penance and make up the deficit. But how~?”
Bijou sighed once more.
“And so you see my dear administrator and cherished friend, that I am currently simply overwhelmed by the work that lays before us. And so again, I turn once more to your vast wisdom, tell me Vi, what is it that would be best to fill our royal coffers? What do we require~? By all means I would have us settle the accounts before the day is through.”
Raising her hand, Bijou signaled the staff girl once more and without a word pointed to the menu before her. Her dainty finger had landed on the word ‘peppermint’.
"Ku, ku, ku... ph'nglui. Fret not my dear Queenie. For months now I have foreseen such issues becoming happenstance which is why I have devised a solution of incalculable perfection.Though of course the funding from your tithes have kept us afloat, for too long have slithered through the shadows. Ph'nglui, ph'nglui... I believe it's time for us to shed our cloaks, if only momentarily, so that this kingdom understands that powers are rising beyond the comprehension of even the vaunted Magic Knights."
Margaux smiled cruelly.
"Through my studies I have discovered a place of mystery and study. The town of Babel... a fortress town constructed for a single massive tower spiraling upwards like a spike containing the hopes and dreams of magical progress and might. Babel, aside from perhaps the head quarters of the Coral Peacocks themselves, is the Kingdom's treasure trove of knowledge on magical research, and the storehouse and armory of countless magical items and artifacts. In my mind, and I'm sure you would agree my dear Queenie, these artifacts are wasted on the less deserving. These sheep who fail to see their own idiocy don't deserve to wield such power. So, through my calculations I have devised a way to liberate said treasures from the unworthy."
Reaching into her coat, Margaux pulled out a map that appeared to show the city of Babel's schematics.
"I liberated this from an unsuspecting individual back in Rogue's Refuge. Would you believe it only took me removing one arm before he donated it to our cause? Quite the gentlemen that one was."
Chuckling, Margaux continued while spreading the map out in front of herself and her compatriot.
"Now then, here we see Babel proper. A marvel of defensive engineering built in a place with intense magical energies naturally moving through it almost as if it were a grand magic zone. Still, with our talents and comfort in using raring magics, I doubt these energies will prove an issue. No, the issue is the actual defensive of the tower. Strutting up to the gates proper would be more trouble than it's worth, and though I have no doubt we could tear down the tower city brick by brick if we wished, I feel that the time and reinforcements that would undoubtedly be summoned would be more of a headache than anything. Especially if they were able to whisk away our prize to some unknown corner of the kingdom before we could reach them. No, no, that wouldn't due at all ph'nglui..."
Acting as if she were stumped for a moment, Margaux crossed her arms playfully then grabbed her drink and took a sip.
"Of course, I have already come up with a solution to this as well, ku ku ku. The unfortunate thing about maps is that they are flat, leaving out the aerial axis, or the Z axis as I have dubbed it. If we want to pilfer the most items in the quickest amount of time we will need to take Babel completely by surprise with tactics those lowly idiots would never even dream of. Therefore, to these ends I have come up Operation Heaven's Drop. Though Babel is itself secured like a fortress tower, it's walls have never met the utter destructive capabilities of my magic. To these ends, here is the plan..."
Margaux grinned large like a wolf showing it's teeth. Holding her left hand flat above the map, Margaux used her right hand to make what looked like a pair of legs. Miming out the strategy, Marguax shows her right hand jumping off from her left as if free falling downwards towards the map.
"We will invade from the air. Using golems to ferry us over the tower will drop and dive downward. As we did before burrowing under ground, I will use my magic to bore a hole straight down through the top of the tower. Using the hole as our entrance and exit we will enter the tower, summon golems to commandeer all items and objects that look to have value. We move up quickly through each floor taking what we want until we return to the top and leave."
Giggling to herself, Margaux continued.
"The beauty of this, is that the operation will happen so fast the idiots will be none the wiser. Even if they begin to enact defensive measures, we will be gone before they even have a chance to deploy. If we meet any resistance then we will either degrade or destroy them. Either way we will need to move fast with no room for hesitation. Each second counts, as I stated if they begin to use spatial magic to reinforce themselves from the Magic Knights our ploy and escape will just be that much more difficult."
Margaux sat back in her chair comfortably amused.
"After the operation our renown will grow and we can sell the items either in rogue's refuge our abroad for however much we deem fit. Of course if we come across an item of the particularly useful variety we keep it for ourselves and add it to armory."
Sitting forward in her chair and resting her arms on the table, Margaux looked to Super Queen.
Sipping her tea, Bijou tittered as Margaux at last spoke. Bijou was positively ecstatic as she listened to the details, upon details, and yet more details still being laid out before her as an image formed in her mind. This was to be the plan then. When Margaux finished, Bijou’s doll like face was composed of a serene smile, and yet there was no sparkle in her hollow eyes as she tittered once more.
“I see~ masterfully said as always Vi~ so in shorter words you mean to say that you have found my things~ How foolish of the treasonous pretenders to think they could hide them from their true and rightful queen.”
Bijou sipped her tea and dumped it into the potted plant one final time. Then, reaching into her purse, she poured a small pile of coin on to the middle of the table and rose.
“I think that one was my favorite. Right then~ I am, of course~ in agreement with your very rational explanation. Now, let us depart~ if you are not yet finished we may have the fine staff prepare your remainder in the style of ‘the go’ that seems to be popular on these busy streets~ Someday~ perhaps soon~ I may yet have you devise another logical explanation for how we may yet move this store into the palace of Clover when I have at last claimed my proper throne...”
And so, the two departed from town unknown and made their way for The Research City of Babel. Let’s skip ahead shall we?

As of now, this post has declared the thread a Crime Thread. The details are as follows:
Attempted / Crime(s): Robbery, “Arson” (Destruction of Property)
- The Rogue(s) who did it is now locked into that thread for five rounds, meaning that they are not allowed to leave the thread at all until that five round period is up.
- The Rogue(s) automatically gain +1 Infamy for initiating the crime, regardless of whether it is completed or not.
- A Rogue can only initiate a Crime thread against other PC’s if they are within the same rank. So a Senior Rank Rogue can’t target Intermediates or Juniors. This is to make sure that stronger Rogues do not grief fresh characters etc..
- The thread is locked from outside interference for 2 rounds, meaning no one is allowed to enter the thread until after the second round of posting. After the second round, however, it is fair game. Though only a number of people equal to the number of Rogues can enter to attempt to fight them. So if there are only 2 Rogues, only 2 other people of EQUAL rank can enter to fight them, or thwart their crime. This is so it’s not impossible for new Rogues to get their feet off the ground, and to prevent MK’s from being jerks about it...Evil has to have fun too.
- Once the Rogues objective is complete they can attempt to leave the thread assuming the five rounds have passed, however, if they are engaged in combat then they must find a way to disengage and escape, and after they make their attempted exit, they must contact a mod to look everything over (Similar to a mission), and if the Mod deems it so then the Crime is completed, and you will be rewarded your Infamy depending on what crime(s) you committed.
- A Rogue will also be given a sum of gold for successfully completing his crime that will be based on his rank.
-Note: There is a 6 hour waiting period on posts in Crime Threads.

Location Babel, Time Mid-day,
High in the sky above the tower of Babel descended a pair of dastardly scoundrels at a gentle float downwards in a line formation. First was Margaux whose villain name was Villian and close behind her was Bijou whose villain name was Super Queen.
Villain and Super Queen each held and were held aloft by a golden parasol golem as they began to pick up speed on target for the fantastical tower city of Babel. The devilish duo were also concealed from sight and mana detection under the effects of an illusion. Both of these spells were courtesy of Bijou. The spell’s names were “Bijou’s Golden Parasol'' and “The Empress's New Robe.”
“We should be now reaching the velocity you require Vi, proceed when ready in accordance with what you have told me.”
Bijou spoke up over the wind. Glancing down below her, she smiled.
“I do so very admire this view, from this perspective all is as it should be, the world so truly small and me, of course, above it with my vaunted friends.”
A word occurred in the mind of the would be supreme queen at this very moment: ‘Hierarchy’
POWER 114, DURABILITY 0, SENSORY 34, STAMINA 30, CONTROL 100
"Very well then, I suppose it's time to begin in earnest."
Margaux looked down with a cold smile.
"The velocity is proceeding perfectly and with wind at this angle I foresee no issues with our decent. All according to plan, everything perfectly in it's place, ph'nglui ph'nglui. They haven't even noticed us yet... ku ku ku. Such fools, but what else can we expect? To be honest with as many scholars and researchers pent up in this little fortress, I would have assumed something would have gone wrong by now. Ah, but I suppose my intelligence is so far beyond these swine that they cannot even begin to fathom the gears that spin round my mind."
Margaux turned to Bijou.
"I had expected that our decent would more than likely be masked by the chaotic mana swirling about this place. The fluctuation of magical energies make it difficult to discern what type of magic is being used making this plan even more to advantage."
Giggling at her own genius, Margaux pointed down.
"Very well. Are you prepared Queenie? If so, let us begin! Operation Heaven's Drop begins now!"
Holding on to Bijou's parasol with her left hand, Margaux pointed her finger downward at spot on the roof as her grimoire began to float next to her erupting ominously in black flames..
"AND NOW YE SHALL KNOW AWE AND FEAR! BARE WITNESS TO THE DESTRUCTIVE MIGHT OF MY DEVIL'S FIRE MAGIC! COWER BEFORE THE MIGHT OF VILLAIN! Center times X zero Yellow Zero, Zeal Zero and Rotate!"
Suddenly, just above the ceiling a spherical rift of black flame, like a small sun opened. Moving her hand forward as if she were pushing a ball downward, Margaux began burrow her spell into the ceiling. As the spell made contact with fortress outer wall, it began to eat away at the matter depositing in the void cleanly as if erasing a whole in the very fortress itself. Margaux couldn't help but cackle.
"IS THIS IT?! IS THIS ALL THE DEFENSE YOU COULD MUSTER?! YOUR FORTIFICATIONS ARE AS LEAVES BEFORE THE STORM IN THE FACE OF THE DEVIL'S FIRE MAGIC OF SHE WHO IS CALLED VILLAIN! KU KU KU KU HEHHEHEHEHE! PH'NGLUI, PH'NGLUI! I WILL ADMIT THAT MY WAY OF DOING THIS IS A TAD MORE BRUTISH THAN THE STANDARD SPACIAL SPELL, THEN AGAIN EVEN THE HAMMER CAN FUNCTION AS A KEY IF USED CORRECTLY!"
As the pair floated downwards at increasing velocity, Margaux maintained her spell boring through everything in their path until the way opened.
"IF ANY ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO ATTEMPT TO CONTEND WITH MY MAGIC, I WOULD OFFER THEE THESE WORDS! YOUR BRAVERY IS ACKNOWLEDGED AS IS THE STUPIDITY OF YOUR ACTIONS! RUN! RUN AND COWER BACK TO YOUR HOLES! HIDE YOUR FAMILIES! WE HAVE COME TO TAKE WHAT WE WILL BY RIGHT OF THE MIGHTY AS THE DESTINED RULERS OF THIS WORLD!"
Floating down through the roof on to the top floor. Margaux readied herself from any resistance that happened to be stupid enough to not get out of the way of her spell. Touching down gracefully, Margaux crossed her arms, then grinned. The whole she had created had done a little more collateral damage than she had hoped, but none the less the entrance had succeeded.
"Anyone with not enough brain matter to have ran may do so now. Any others may fight on bravely, and if you impress me enough I may only detach your limbs from you body. Disappoint me and I will erase you from existence... Ph'nglui ph'nglui. This tower's artifacts, knowledge, and power belong to us now... ku ku ku."

Name of Spell: Devil's Fire Magic: Foreigner's Aureole- Light and Spatial Elemental Type: Void Rank & Spell Type: Senior, Attack/Transformation (offensive) Range & Speed: 80m, 45 m/s, 65 m aoe Mana Cost: 30, 15 Stats Effected: +9 Power, -10 movement speed (one round) Applicable Perks: Elemental Oddity: Fire, Battle Knight, Area of Triumph, Elemental Mixologist, Quick Shot Description: When opened, this flaming black spherical rift deals senior level damage to all within the area, slows those hit for one round, and transmutes the Light and Spatial elements into the slime (stamina) element while continuing on to deal damage if Margaux over powers the spell. To transmute, Margaux's control must be +15 over the oncoming spells. The spell may make use of ammo rules.
Utilizing her void magic, Margaux open's a spherical rift of black flames. This particular rift's energy transmutes Light and Spatial magics into odd, black colored slime. Quite strange indeed.
As with other offensive transmutation spells, this spell permanently changes the area it is cast in. When the spell's rift is closed it takes with it the affected landscape depositing it in the abyss. This spell leaves tell-tale markings of it's use as chunks of the landscape looked as if they were cleanly erased from the area.
Incantation: Center times X zero Yellow Zero, Zeal Zero and Rotate
Rank & Element: Jr, Blood Class & Type: Relic, Accessory Magic Specializations: Healing, Hex Appearance & Lore: A strange looking hat that found it's way to Margaux. Travelling through the countryside, Margaux was startled by a large boom. Looking towards the noise she saw it had come from the outskirts of the Kingdom's territory. Suddenly, wafting on the air, the hat inexplicably landed on Margaux's head.
Studying the hat, Margaux came to find that the hat was actually magical and was imbued with blood magic. Having no idea who created the hat, or where it came from Margaux has made it her goal to unlock the hat's secrets and powers.
The hat itself is smaller than typical witch hats and is black, purple, or very dark red depending on the light. An ornamental yellow, green, and black strip runs around the rim as well as a star with a lidless eye pin. Abilities:
While wearing this witch hat, the user gains the perk Cleanse
Cleanse: Twice in a thread, the healing mage may cleanse a target of a single debuff of any kind and of any rank. Once the healing mage reaches Grand, they will be able to do this three times.
Lifeblood Cocoon Type & Uses: Flow, Active turns 3, Overheat 2 Rank & Specialization: Jr, Healing Mana Cost: 8 | 4 Range & Speed: 25m, 10m/s Stats Affected: Description: This ability causes an orb of red blood veins to surround and connect to the target. These veins transfuse blood into the target healing them while the ability is sustained.
When cast, the red veins sprout up and around from the witch’s hat creating the cocoon around the target.
Lifeblood Scaffold Type & Uses: Flow, Active turns 3, Overheat 2 Rank & Specialization: Jr, Healing Mana Cost: 8 | 4 Range & Speed: 25 meter range, 10 meter aoe, 10 m/s Stats Affected: Description: Similar to Lifeblood Cocoon only over an area.
When used, this ability creates a sphere or dome of red veins that connect to and heal all persons within the area as long as the ability is maintained.
As AoE healing ability, Lifeblood Scaffold automatically drops one rank, doing nothing at junior.
Puppet Bloodflow: Annul Type & Uses: Flow, Active turns 3, Overheat 2 Rank & Specialization: Jr, Hex Mana Cost: 8 | 4 Range & Speed: 25m, 10m/s Stats Affected: -healing Description: An insidious ability that curse’s the target’s blood causing the body to reject any healing used on them. When the hex is cast on the target, they suddenly feel themselves stiffen as if afflicted by rigor mortis, though the feeling quickly passes.
When afflicted, if a spell is cast at the same rank but Flora’s power is +5 over the healer’s control, then the heal will have its potency dropped by a single rank (junior cut in half).
If Flora's hex is +10 in power than player B’s control, that buff/healing will be erased completely.
If Flora’s power is +15 over the healers, then that heal will now damage the target equal to a spell one rank beneath the heal’s.
