Xero gave a sigh as he stepped through the boundaries and into the fringe. A place with no laws or rules in the place he entered. Hundreds in not thousands of men had lost their lives in the area, and Xero had no idea what he'd stumbled upon as he kept his pace. His deep calm breaths seemed to be visible as the fringe grew colder and colder. Xero didn't mind having spent numerous nights in the cold and his attitude seemed to pay off as he came towards a large log cabin with a make shift dummy standing next to the door. Xero didn't really have an idea of why he'd ventured this far, except he needed to get away from people. He'd become more aggressive and angry at the knights, and even seeing their mantles seemed to throw the young boy into a state of pure rage.
He seemed to luck out as he drew his sword dropping the sheathe to the ground as he began to slash the blade against the soft fabric easily tearing off chunks on the dummy. He was a bit lost as he practiced his foot work and striking. He didn't account for the amount of noise he was creating as every slash let out a loud noise as the blade seemed to meet metal hinges. After a few hundred strikes Xero stood there covered and sweat with heated breath as the dummy that stood in front of him fell to the ground "That... Took a lot more than I though" Xero huffed as he slowly stood up "What now?" he muttered looking towards the house cluelessly.
He slowly stepped forward pushing open the door and entering as he was met with the vision of corpses torn apart from some sort of creature or perhaps magic. Xero stared his body frozen with fear as the stench of rotten meat filled his nose. He wasn't ready for the sight yet as his face began to grow pale and his body shook rapidly causing his teeth to clatter as he gripped his sword even tighter in fear. Wondering if the thing that did it was still here.
