[attr="class","persephonescroll"] As the whole ordeal had come to a rest, Persephone gauged the reactions of everyone around her, realizing that each person had a different reaction to what they just witnessed. Although everyone seemed perfectly sane in the moment, their reactions told all. Each person had dealt with something entirely different. Hotaru seemed calm and collected. To Persephone, it was as if not much had changed with Hotaru's persona. She had even critiqued the two others on her team like she had before. In all honesty, her jabs at them made her smile. She only hoped that she wouldn't be apart of those jabs. She then looked onwards to Jirou who was giving her a slight glance before looking straight away. She almost didn't notice it, nor did she notice it the second time, but she still had felt uncomfortable in his presence. She didn't exactly know what she should be afraid of, but it was quite obvious that she couldn't trust him for the time being. Sol, however, had caused her to become less tense. There was an aura about him that comforted her, and although she didn't realize it before, his questions of concern for the group were truthful. He didn't just see his team as pawns, rather as people who deserved a chance for greater things than to die in a magic knight exam. [break][break] She wasn't sure how she felt about it all, though. She felt herself become a bit less scrunched up in her posture than before, allowing her face to show a bit more and her posture to straighten up a bit. She felt a bit more confident in her skills, but she still had a bit of lingering disdain towards herself, and she wasn't sure what more she could endure before it became a fatal flaw. Still, she couldn't shake the feeling. Even if her face showed fear, she wouldn't confirm it with anyone. All she really could do was nod her head and assure them that things are fine, like she did when Sol asked her before. She wasn't the best at faking things, but chances are, people wouldn't dig on a mute girl. (360) [break][break] Floor 1, Room 2: The group had entered an even more disturbing room as she peered around to see the spikes coming up from the floor. She wasn't much taller than them, which caused her to feel a pit in her stomach. She wondered if there were people whom had found their way at the top of this pit, only to be made victim by the spikes. She didn't like the thought of people being impaled, but her fears were quenched as new ones arose. The laughter. That was all she heard after silence had spread across the group. It was once at first, but as the group had slowly begun preparing for an upcoming battle, it was as if the laughs had multiplied. She wasn't sure if this meant that more enemies were coming towards them, or if it was a single creature creating these noises, but all she wanted from them, was for them to stop. She felt herself shaking a tiny bit before the noises had suddenly stopped. [break][break] She looked over to Jirou, who had broken off pieces of the spikes attached to the ground. Out of the bases that were left in its places, light had shown up through the cracks. The room was dark before, but now light was dimly burning throughout the area. She then watched as the light created shadows for the spikes, the people in the room, and for 2 unknown entities. Almost instantaneously, she pointed over towards 2 shadows that were unlike the rest. They weren't created by any physical creatures in the room, rather they seemed to be their own creatures. As she pointed, the creatures slowly began crawling towards the group, phasing in and out between the shadows made by the other spikes in the room. Persephone felt useless. Like the creatures from before, she knew that her poison wouldn't be effective against inorganic creatures. Chances are, none of their attacks would effectively beat the creatures unless they had light to fight them off. [break][break] She then realized something. The creatures were avoiding the spots of light Jirou had created by breaking the spikes. They were dashing in-between the shadows of the spikes, and she feared that they'd eventually find home in the shadows that followed each person. If none of them had any other options, then it was likely that they'd need to break off as many spikes as possible to remove shadows from the equation. She tried to convey this to the group as much as possible while the beasts were closing the gap. She tried pointing at the beams of light, and imitated Jirou ripping off the spikes in an extremely overexaggerated manner, hoping that they'd get the gist of what she was trying to say.

[attr="class","persephonescroll2"] Persephone is mute, so anything marked in this color is her body language and overall persona
[attr="class","julienglass2scroll"] Sol signed as the threat had passed before he felt Hotaru slap him upside the head and he rubbed where she had struck as he sighed.”I get it Hotaru I already apologized it wont happen again” he said calmly while he glanced at Jirou who also got struck and had to resist the urge to smirk, the man already had arrogance issues he could only imagine what that smack to the head made him feel. It seemed that Persephone was doing ok as well and it made the blood mage feel a bit better, she hadnt said a word but that didnt stop the mage from trying his best to communicate with her in case something was wrong, as his blood golem floated beside him they all moved into the next room and into the next part of the exam.So far they had managed to get past the first hurdle and he had been the one to spring the trap, he just hoped that the next issue wouldn't be his fault when it appeared. [break][break] Floor 1, Room 2 [Break][Break] as the two shades emerged from the pit and were set to cause trouble Sol tightened the grip on his sword as his eyes narrowed.”shadows again seems this dungeon wants to keep reminding me of the past no matter” he said more to himself then to his team mates as he debated the next course of action, while he had a few spells that were Solar based and used light he couldnt risk using them on the risk of blinding his team which would leave them in a worse situation then before. He spotted Persephone gesturing what Jirou had been doing and breaking the spikes making it so the shades couldn't jump between the shadows and it made the noble smirk for a second as he gave his golem a command.”Break the spikes” he sent thru the link as the blood countess moved forward and bit and used its tendrils to break more of the spikes leaving less spots for the shades to move effectively before one suddenly got brave and lunged for Sol. [break][break] “Grab” he commanded as the Countess suddenly caught the shade mid grab with one of its tendrils and then at the next command from its creator it brought its bladed hand forward and slashed into the shadow creating deep cuts, Sol then proceeded to rush forward and the golem released the shade as Sol suddenly brought his blade upwards in a quick draw and caused the shade to fade back into the shadows from the damage dealt to it.”one down one more to go and with little place left to hide” he said as he flicked his blade to the side as he stared down the other shade. The blood users eyes darted to his partners for a moment seeing what they would do but the ruby orbs would lock back onto the shadowy being since he didnt trust it not to try and pull a fast on them. The absolute worse case scenario would be that he would need to step in and take out the other one but he wanted to see what his other team mates would do he had faith in their abilities since they wouldnt be here if they were not confident. [break][break] At this point the dungeon was starting to grate on the blood mages nerves,it seemed that so far every issue they had encountered was something shadow based which did not set the nobles mind at ease given the perpetual darkness he had encountered for a prolonged period when reclaiming Kikka back from the deamons but at this point it was neither here nor there, the important thing was to focus on getting thru this dungeon in one piece with his team mates staying intact as well. This family has been shunned by many other noble houses because of their appearances and they macabre magic that they are born with so choose to remain in the forsaken region instead of the noble. Not a lot is known about this secretive family, it's hierarchy or its family mechanics and they aim to keep it that way, it allows them to continue doing what they are without too many questions being asked. One thing people will notice of this family is that when they pass their trial of adulthood they start wielding a weapon of some sort and how the dynamics of the family will change to that person. floor 1 room 2: 866/2000 Sol was handling his own with his Blood magic, a dirty and forbidden magic to the yuiee family traditions, but Jirou only saw it as another useful power. One that would have done well with his own mindset if he had been lucky enough to be given that magic. The spikes now attached to his spell increased his reach and as such he could also touch each wall of the room from where he stood. The spikes were leaking light near their bases, and while it made it easier for the shadows to move from shadow to shadow, he knew it would also be their undoing. He checked that each spike near him was also made from stone. Each one was stone based on the sound it made when hit by his carbon spears. He rotated his limbs so that he had his arms crossed infront of him and he smiled wide before yelling for everyone to duck. [break][break] With a mighty forceful movement, the carbon covered spikes he held would shatter their way through the others clearing nearly half the room of spikes, and sending a gust of dust and debris flyign through out the room, and filling the bottom of the pit with light that was harsh and yet at the same time warm and comforting. The final shade was forced out of hiding from the shadow it was moving through at the time and using some more of his strength JIrou turned and pushed Persephone out of dangers way as he used both spikes to impale the shadow through its chest, the creatures laughter turned to screams as Jirou pulled it in half with his improvised spears. But shortly afterwards he dropped the spikes and panted softly as he fell to his knee. He hadnt expected the spikes to be so heavy, was it the air in the room? Was it the effects of the battles compounding? Jirou then stood back up and let the magic of his spell fade. As he stood infront of Persephene, the light of the spikes illuminated the Kanji on his back, a reminder to follow him forward into greatness. [break][break] He didn’t mean to look so heroic, but he wasn’t going to let those damn shades touch what belonged to him. The three in this room might not realize it, But Jirou had laid claimed to them in his heart and wouldnt let any of them escape him. Just then, the two halfs of the shade refused and rushed toward the weak link of Persephene, Jirou roared out and blocked the shade with his own body as it sailed through and down into his shadow, dealing an icy cold blow to Jirous spirit, at or aleast what felt like it. He pushed himself away, toward the deepest parts of the pit where the light would surround him entirely. The Shade tried to reach out to attack Persephene but Jirous movement would make it miss and find itself trapped in the pool of light in Jirous Shadow. It returned to the darkness it could and Jirou Tisked annoyed. [break][break] ”Damn…I can feel it in my shadow but I don’t think any of my spells will hurt it in there. he grumbled to himself having somehow found himself held hostage by the Shade.
