Tilting her head slightly downwards Ivy checked to see if she was all ready to go. Her hair was brushed and she had put some stuff in it to make it really shine at its best quality, a hair clip on her right side to make sure the long part of her hair wasn't going to affect her vision for the day or at least hopefully. Using her hands she adjusted her green jacket lined with white fox fur, something she got as a gift from a commoner not too long ago as thanks for helping them out, her parents wanted her to throw it away but why would she do that? It was a gift.
Anyway, she brushed her black skirt that depicted some golden seeds on it brushing off any lint or dirt that came from her mostly cleaned room, pulled up her black knee socks and retightened her belt that she tied around her arm. She was all ready to go out for a patrol of Sosshi.
Ready and fully equipped with all she was sure she was needed , grimoire at her right hip and her Black Bulls mantle on her left she began to walk out of the base, on her way out she didn't see anyone and honestly she hadn't seen anyone since she joined, she wondered if all the members were just to hard workers and never really stayed home, as a noble she had to do the same and keep working towards making the Kingdom of Clover a better place to live, that was her pledge as a Magic Knight but her duty as a noble, something she took very seriously.
Making it outside the base Ivy took a deep breath of air from her nose taking in the scent of the surrounding forest, she could smell the wafting faint scent of peaches nearby and hear the small creak of water running, splashing against the rocks that poked their head out of the small body of water, "Like I thought, I truly adore nature more~" Ivy said to herself as she kept walking the trail that lead to Sosshi. Just taking in the general scenery of the area Ivy began to see some travelers or maybe villagers in the distance on a carriage, two horses working to move the cart full of fresh fruit that was probably being delivered to somewhere in the commonors region for money.
Although she got closer to the village the beauty of nature seemed to lessen more and more the closer she got, fresh green grass replaced with yellowing grass, patches of it missing, trees losing their leaves and some even showing scars of burning from fires that kept happening in the area. Walking past one of the most scarred trees in the area Ivy put her hand on it, the bark of the tree much rougher and a bit whiter than it should be her smile from earlier fading into a half frown, protecting the beauty and rich culture of the kingdom nature was also her duty and pledge.
Sliding her hand across the bark Ivy continued her way to the village finally able to see it more clearly as she saw villagers running back and forth , workers chopping wood and maidens cooking fresh food, everyone working together to preserve the way of life, the Kingdom of Clover was truly the only place she could ever call home.

Echo found himself within the town of Sosshi, home of the Black Bulls magic knight squad. It was always interesting when he found himself here as this town was where he started off his rogue antics. He had killed many people in this town, and committed many other crimes so when he came he was always on edge a bit. The red head would hope that the crimes of his past would never come back to bite him, especially since he had changed his ways at least for the mean time.
Echo had stopped in the small town before he would go home, as he had just finished helping his father and some others conduct a charity hunt. The hunt was in fact very successful as they managed to hunt enough game to feed a decent amount of people. The red headed hunter had came wearing his usual attire, black jacket with fur collar and white t shirt under, black denim pants, and black boots. He did not know what the rest of the day would bring for him but he knew that it was off to a somewhat decent start so far.
As the red head walked he would notice a rather beautiful looking woman walking a small distance away. She had on a green jacket with white fur, something that was just Echo’s style as his favorite color is green and he also liked jackets with fur. When he saw her his first thought was to continue on with his day, however the longer she stayed in his line of sight the more he felt as though he had to interact.
He would begin to make his approach to the beautiful girl, thinking about what he was gonna say as he walked up. He played several possible opening lines in his head as he walked over, but nothing he thought of seemed to be good enough to him. Sadly him time for thinking had run out as he was now a mere few feet away from the girl. Echo would stop and stand in front of the girl with nothing more than a smile on his face. He still hadn’t thought of what to say so he would stand in front of the girl smiling for a good bit of time before any words would be spoken.
He would finally get himself together and would say “Hey there… um.. sorry I know this must be awkward. I guess your beauty kind of had me stuck on what I should say haha. But umm my name is Echo. What might your name be?” And there it was, the red headed male had managed to get some words out without looking like a complete fool. He could only hope that he had not creeped her out at this point, with his awkward entrance.

Stepping into the village entrance Ivy saw how busy life in this village was, maidens cooking and doing laundry, in the fields she could see much older men tending to them as they raked a path for new seeds to grow. Looking down at a small patch of wet soil Ivy wondered how well the surrounding earth could nurture the seeds the farmers were planting.
Ivy frowned in that moment, in the last year she had been studying different types of trees and flowers and how to nurture them out of pure curiosity since she wondered if understanding or knowing a lot would help her magic get stronger while at the same time more knowledgeable, with her access to most books civilians didn't have she learned how to determine good or bad soil, and although soil would grow decent amount of crops, it wouldn't be much, they deserved better as part of the Kingdom of Clover!
Since she had been looking at the ground Ivy hadn't noticed feet right in front of her, looking up to meet this person in the eye all she saw was a boy around her age, smiling as if he wanted to say something. She immediately wondered if he was from the village, however she took a look at his outfit and saw that he was wearing a jacket kinda like hers at the same time. Brought back out of her observations the boy in front of her said he got stuck on what to say to hear, dropping the word beautiful as he introduced himself as Echo.
Well Ivy was a bit stunned now, she hasn't interacted a lot with guys other than in her family and they for sure didn't call her beautiful, every family in nobility had some they would consider lesser and Ivy and her family was definitely one of them in the Ravencrest, although she was working hard to change that.
Ivy stared back at him ,lost for words as well, "T-thank you" Why was her voice slightly trembling of all times, " It's nice to meet you Echo, my name's Ivy." Trying to extend the conversation even a little she was reminded of his outfit, but more specifically his jacket. "I like your jacket, are you from Sosshi? You could say I moved nearby so I'm just exploring the village and its surroundings , what are you up to?" God she felt like she was talking in circles…
Just as Ivy thought to herself about her ceaseless chatter a cry from the woods from not to far from the village echoed through the village, the busy village slowing to a halt as others heard it as well. Since she heard it she couldn't ignore it and turned away from Echo, her Black Bull mantle on full display for him as she turned to the direction of the cry for help just as she spotted movement in the brushes ahead. Rushing out were a couple of men, the look of fear on their faces while their clothes were almost in tatters as bare flesh was exposed while blood ran down their bodies as they appeared to be desperately trying to escape from something.
Ivy ran up to the group of injured civilians, one falling but landing on Ivy chest ad she used her arms to catch his body from falling while the rest stopped running and took heaving breaths of air. "What happened..?" Was the only question Ivy had at the moment.

After Echo had walked up and said his ‘opening line’ so to speak, he had slightly regretted trying to talk to the girl. He regretted it not because he had changed his mind, but because he had suddenly grew a slight fear of rejection.Even though this fear was beginning to bother him the feelings he got were shown to him to be more than just a fear of rejection. It was also the uneasy feeling that came from the fact he had not even attempt to talk to anyone other than Hinota, and he knew that was going nowhere fast.
Luckily for Echo the woman had decided to give him a reply, even if it was just a small bit of conversation. She would first start by saying thank you, most likely for Echo calling her beautiful. She would then say how it was nice to meet Echo and that her name was Ivy. She would then go on to even say that she liked Echo’s jacket and to ask if he was from sosshi. Echo would look at the girl’s attire and say “Oh thanks I like your jacket too. Green is my favorite color believe it or not. But no im not from here I am from the common region, however I had some business in town that had made me come here."
After a few moments a scream would be heard coming from the nearby woods that had many people stopping to turn, including the girl Ivy. Echo would take this time to spark a cigarette he had pulled from his pocket before taking a hit and thinking to himself *Now what the hell could that be?* Suddenly a few men would emerge from the woods with their clothes ripped apart and blood running down their bodies. Echo would blow out the smoke in his mouth before thinking to himself *Ahhh… best case scenario big animal attack, worst case scenario… mana beast.* When the girl Ivy had turned it would now become clear to Echo that she was wearing a magic knight mantle, one from the black bulls at that. Echo would scoff a bit, as his dislike for magic knights would come to the front of his mind.
The girl had rushed over to help the men, even going as far as to catch one of them as they were falling. Echo was by no means any clean freak or anything of that nature, however he was definitely not about to catch some strange men covered in blood. This was the first sign to him that maybe the girl was truly one of pure heart. He looked at over as the girl asked the men what had happened before one would say “We were attacked! It was some huge looking monster looking bear! THAT THING WAS HUGE!!!” Echo was take another hit from his cigarette and blowing out the smoke before saying “Ok I’ve heard enough. This sounds like a job for the forsaken region’s guardians to save the day.” He would laugh a bit before walking over to the men and saying “Have no fear my people, I am a Jaegar and I will go hunt down this beast that threatens your village.”
Echo would then pull out his grimoire before the book would begin to float beside him. It would be clear at this point that he held a 4 leaf grimoire, as the book opened and the pages would begin to flip before a ball of light would pop out from the grimoire. The light would then turn into a 3-D model map of the area around the village. As Echo scanned the map he would see a dot that signified a high power hostile mana source. Echo would smile as he seen the marking on the map before saying “And I got you…” He would then look to Ivy and say “So you’re a magic knight huh? I don’t really like your kind, but today it seems your duties and mines have overlapped. My family has been tasked with hunting for the purpose of food for the less fortunate commoners and killing any hostile creatures that threaten small villages like this. Its been that way for generations and I won’t let my family down today so… If you want we can do this together since it would be bad if your superiors heard you left this situation to be handled by a civilian. So what do you say Ivy, you wanna tag along or what?”

Confronted with a boy about her age, she was suddenly called beautiful which really took her off guard, a bit lost for words Ivy began making small talk, telling Echo she liked her jacket which she did , Echo seemingly returning the favor while mentioning he liked green. It turns out he actually listened to everything she asked as he clarified he wasn't from Sosshi but the common region and that he was in Sosshi for something business related. "That's cool, I guess you can say I'm here for business as well." Ivy said, smiling at Echo.
As quickly as she smiled, she faded when she hears the sounds of screams, the suddenness and trembling in the voices making her think this isn't some childest prank. Upon hearing movement in the brushes she reached her hand out to her grimoire as a bead of sweat rolled down her neck as she thought they were under attack. Although no monster came out of the bushes if it wasn't better either, two men almost ripped to shreds and were covered in blood. Running to the that was about to call she caught him but he was a bit heavy, hurt she used about what felt like every ounce of her muscle to drag the man closer to the village where a doctor ran out to check on the civilians status, she hadn't missed the other one saying there was a huge bear, a monster looking one at that.
Leaving the man to the doctor, Ivy turned back and looked at Echo as he was forming some ball of light. Earlier he said something about being a guardian so maybe he was planning to help the villagers? This guy wasn't so bad~ However just as she walked behind him he began saying he didn't really like her kind but due to his family tradition or something he was bound to provide food and protect villages like this from attacks like what was happening now and suggested they team up so she could save face?
"My kind? What is my kind? I'm a magic Knight but don't take me for any other magic knight. There will only be "One" kind of me. But your family has a pretty cool tradition, beats mine. But I won't let you go alone, I can help!" Ivy would say stepping up to Echo, looking at the ball and realizing that Echo grimoire was a four leaf clover book, "You have super rare magic like me and you actually protect others, I don't know about this my kind stuff but I think we could be great friends if you wanted too~ Now, please lead the way, I can't say I have a good layout for the land yet so I would have gotten lost on my own.

Echo listened to the girl’s words carefully, as she spoke to him in reply to his comments. He had been in a situation similar to this before and the outcome was less than favorable to him and so he knew he needed to proceed lightly. The girl had first asked what was her kind, before saying that she was a magic knight but she was the only one of her kind. The statement was simple but may have held some weight to it. From Echo’s knowledge the black bulls were a squad filled with people who were reckless and almost unfit to join the organization as a whole, in other words it was a dumping ground.
The woman would end up saying that she would not let Echo go on alone by himself, and that she would indeed go with him. She must have taken notice of Echo’s grimoire seeing the 4 leaf clover on its cover, and took note of his element which would prompt her to say that Echo had a unique and rare magic just like her. At the sound of those words Echo would raise a brow before saying to her “Like you? What do you mean like you?” He had not seen her grimoire or any of her magic so he couldn’t make any assumptions or anything like that so he would just simply wait to get an answer at some point.
Echo would then shift his gaze back to his map before noticing that the dot representing the hostile creature began to move. He would then look to Ivy and said “We can talk and walk, the beast is moving so we are too! Try not to get left behind magic knight.” Echo would then dart into the woods in pursuit of the beast, making sure to move slow enough for her to at least keep sight on him and potentially catch up. As Echo moved through the forest he would think about what the girl said to him, about how he protected people. He gritted his teeth a bit as the thought rolled through his mind making him think in response *I protect people huh? So that makes me look good in the eyes of others? I do this out of duty… If only people knew how much darkness covers these protecting hands…*
As he jogged from the town’s outskirts and now through the woods he would peek at his map once more before realizing he was within range to no longer need such a thing. Dispelling his spell he would stop in his tracks before turning to his temporary partner and saying “It appears that we are very close. We should proceed from this point on with extreme caution.” He would begin to walk towards the direction of the creatures mana signature before realizing, he had no idea on how useful this woman would actually be in combat. He would stop once more before turning back around and saying “Dont take this the wrong way but are you actually gonna be helpful in a fight? I mean like what can you do?”

Ivy job was to help people and she took great pride in that, for whatever reason it didn't seem like Echo liked Magic Knights a lot and for what reason was beyond her, she could ask about those things later. With a potential men's beast running around she offered her support, he mentioned he was from a family that hunted hostile creatures so clearly going with him was probably going for the best, with her magic she could put up a fight but she didn't think she was at the point where she could win alone. She didn't see herself as weak but had to acknowledge she wasn't entirely strong either, it was a feeling she didn't like.
Mentioning his grimoire in relation to hers Echo seemed confused, Ivy realizing that her gromire was covered up this whole time so he couldn't see it and even then he wouldn't know what her magic actually was until he saw it. "Well..let's just say my magic is a rare type like yours, from what I come to understand through books of history, people with four clovers are considered to hold rare and amazing type of magic." Ivy said as she unclasped her grimoire, a teal book with a silver outline to it, a picture of a tree in the middle and within that tree a four leaf clover. "Your the third person I meant with rare type magic~ " Ivy said gleefully, she had spent many months feeling as if she was cursed but it made her happy to know others had magic just as incredible or wierd as hers.
Perhaps too talkative Ivy had forgotten about the situation for a second in which Echo snapped her back into as he said the beasts were moving and that they would have to walk and talk. "Lead the way." Ivy said becoming serious again as she followed Echo. But as she followed him it became more clear that even if he wasn't a magic knight, he clearly outsped her and likely due to his family history didn't actually need her help . She kept running, and she had spent many years running through forests but she could catch up to him and he seemed to maintain a certain distance.
Despite her ability to keep up with Echo she wasn't tired, she at least had pride in her stamina, stopping Echo warned her they were close, closing her eyes she could feel her heart racing as she felt the a tingling of the beasts mana signature, it was like something crawling under your skin. Walking in it's direction Ivy felt the feeling get stronger , eventually Echo turned to her and asked her if she would actually be helpful in the fight. Initially Ivy frowned at his question, she knew he didn't mean it but even after he said it she couldn't help but think it sounded rude but it was still a fair question to ask with his family history.
"You need to work on how you say certain things, but you deserve an answer. I guess you can say I'm a support magic knight, I hex enemies from a distance and up close and use my transformation magic to give me a bit of a power boost to drive in for the take down. I want to help, I'll do whatever you need me to do to make this go smoothly. "

The girl explained that her magic was a rare type of magic just like his, however Echo was not satisfied with such an answer however he didn’t press the issue yet. But once the duo got closer to this creature that was attacking civilians Echo asked the girl if she could actually be helpful in a fight. Even though the red head told her not to take it the wrong way he could tell by her response that she took it the wrong way. She would explain how she behaved in a combat setting but from what Echo heard he was less than impressed. Wanting to get a better grasp for her abilities he would use his sensory abilities to gauge her power level, and upon doing so he was again less than impressed.
*Her magical power is barely any higher than Thalia’s… that slight edge must be coming from whatever magic she uses. Maybe I should just handle this by myself to avoid her being harmed. Going by my map this creature is somewhere between me and Zeus’ power level.* Echo thought to himself but he let the thoughts pass as he would look to her and say “Sorry didn’t mean to make that sound so harsh but one should always know the capabilities of the people you go into battle with. As a magic knight you should understand the importance of such a thing.”
After Echo said this he would turn around and began to walk in the direction of the creature, and after a few short steps a loud roar could be heard along with a scream from what Echo thought was another person being attacked. The scream prompted him to run off towards its origin and as he did so he would draw his very long Katana, preparing to get into a fight as soon as he saw the beast.
After a few short moments of running he would see the beast, a large wolf like creature but it was clearly mutated by magic. The wolf was about the size of a large bear and had the beak and wings of a very vicious bird, one could only imagine how a creature like this came into existence. As Echo arrived he could see the wolf trying to attack a man who was by himself and unarmed, prompting Echo to scoff before he attacked saying “You wild creatures are without honor. And those without honor shall be cut down by my blade!” The sound of the blade cutting into the creature could be heard within the immediate area, and if you listened closely enough you could hear the blood dripping from the wound and Echo’s sword.
The creature would back up as it roared from the pain, as Echo would look to the man and say “Are you ok to walk? If so I would highly suggest you leave the area I don’t think that one cut will do much to stop that thing…” Upon hearing the words the man would look at the wolf who was now magically healing itself before saying “Yeah I think that’s a good idea. Thanks for the save!” And with that the man would run off back in the direction of the town.
