She had joined the magic knight exams for a single reason, it was far different from any other who was current there she was sure. Many wanted to prove themselves to the captains, they dreamed of the prestige of everything that would come with wearing a mantle and the prospect of one day being a household name. None of that truly mattered to her, she had listened to the captain's speeches letting all the hopeful candidates what would be expected of them during the trials. The entire time she kept her eyes on a single person, the captain of the Crimson Lions. It wasn't because she expected placement within them, there was no way in the god's green earth she was going to get a spot there, she wasn't an offensive mage, after all, she had taken more after her father and he was a defence mage of the Purple Orca while he lived.
No. The reason she kept her eyes on Ardere Kasai, captain of the Crimson Lions was a simple one. This man... he was her elder brother... and this was the first time she had ever seen him in her life. She had to wonder if he even knew of her existence, she grew knowing of his and the reason she had been sent away to live with her auntie and uncle. She understood they done what they believed was best for her given what was going on at the time but she couldn't help but feel abandoned by her parents and by extension her older brother. She had kept such thoughts to herself, she had mentioned it once and it wasn't taken kindly to. She could understand why it wasn't but it almost felt like they were invalidating her feelings for those she had never met.
The first test of the exams would be that of a solo display of a person's abilities, this seemed simple enough though she only had a few abilities at current. She had only recently gained a grimoire, where she was raised such things were not actually a thing, there were of course mystics and those who dealt with the spiritual but magic was somewhat taboo outside of that. She was hesitant to use it in all honesty but she was no longer at home and so she guessed it was okay while in what was currently her new homeland. She took a deep breath as her number was called and walked into the centre of the arena. She appeared to be more of a samurai-ko just without being armed with swords, she was here to show off her magic, not her sword skills, which could and would come later.
She wore a set of crimson hakama and a deep peach coloured kimono sporting her families crest on the back, she wasn't ashamed of it, why would she be. "I will be requesting aid for my exhibition." she said to notify the captains and the five magic knight nearby that she would indeed be requiring them. "I think one will be enough for now." she said watching as a male who was towering over her stepped away from the five potential knights she needed to work with. "Please come at me as if you intend to do serious harm to me." she said calmly, it was clear she was focused and knew what she was asking of the other, she also knew she could get seriously hurt if she wasn't fast enough. He tried his best to look intimidating but she just rolled her eyes showing she wasn't impressed.
"Ka" she said the moment that the man dashed towards her flaming claws covering his hands, around her body soft twinking could be seen "Hoshi" she quickly followed it up with her hands glimmering brighter as she got into a fighting stance. As he got closer she knocked his hand out of the way before punching him in the abdomen scorching his clothing she allowed his second hand to connect but it did no damage to her, the twinkling of the stars dulling proving that it got damaged. This meant very little to her as she jamp and kicked the man in the head with her heel. It wasn't enough to hurt knock him out but it was enough to feel that though she looked like a fragile young woman she was anything but, it had dazed him as he hadn't expected her to be able to get her foot high enough to connect with his head.
She moved to make distance against them and took a breath knowing that the shield was repairing slowly as shown by the fact the twinkling around her body was increasing once more, still she cancelled both her spells knowing they had shown their capabilities. Now she had to show her others, this was going to be interesting. She tilted her head to the left a little and smiled at the man who still seemed like they were in shock "Are you all right? You seem like you are in shock, should I get a medic?" she asked, she knew it wasn't because he was hit and by his speed she believed him to be around the same strength as her self, she guessed it made sense as they wouldn't be putting archmages against someone who was well above them. The thing was he seemed like one of those arrogant nobles who believed they were above everyone else.

Uttering the word 'Ka' is enough to activate this spell, if it wasn't for the soft twinkling of stars it would be easy to miss this translucent second skin that covered the caster's body. The shield is warm enough to stave off a winter's breeze but not much else, but if someone was stupid enough to punch it physically then they would end up with minor second-degree burns. The shield itself can take up to intermediate damage before it is destroyed only to mend itself at the beginning of the following round (max 3 rounds) if it is damaged but not fully destroyed.
