[attr="class","noahtext"]Flying outside the Clover Kingdom once again. Noah found himself in the border of a fringe, attempting to find another dungeon he planned to conquer. There were supposed to be a bunch of people joining him, and he was rather excited for that. There previous experiences he had for the last month have showed him that meeting new people was essential for his own development. He knew the road very well, as he actually walked similar path when he was trying to get to the Blake estate to meet captain of The Golden Dawn. This time, the course was different as he had to make a rapid turn directly into a sandstorm, which covered his whole surroundings. “Oh my, I hate sand I will have it everywhere.” He spoke annoyed, while covering his eyes, desperately trying to protect himself from the sand. He flew relatively often, but never did he encounter such unpleasant conditions, it almost felt as if that wasn’t natural. Young mage had a basic knowledge of the Fringe, as it was an important point between two of the kingdoms – the Diamond and the Clover. Fringe was basically a manifestation of their relationship – a wasteland, full of visible marks of wars that happened here over the centuries. [break] It was only natural that such unique dungeon would be hidden here, and apparently it was hidden very well. Noah could feel the sandstorm getting less intense by every second he flew, but the problem was that by this time he already lost any sense of direction and therefore was hoping he would be able to see soon. Sand stopped pouring into his eyes, and it seemed the sky cleared for a little, and there it was. Noah found the architecture, if it could be called that very interesting. It felt like it wasn’t human-made, as Noah assumed most of the dungeons were. Rather it seemed like a forgotten piece of time, or more specifically as if something froze for a thousand years and hasn’t changed ever since. It was a wonder that the dungeon held itself, as it was leaning rather dangerously. Given the location, which was unclear for him at the moment Noah decided to approach closer and see what it was all about. Carefully observing the territory, before attempting to make any rapid changes was something he learned the hard way, but thankfully he knew better now. [break] Looking abandoned, there were barely any vegetation, mostly a wasteland crossed by several rivers, which Noah found weird as it was located in the middle of the desert. What was also weird was the fact that even though the whole area seemed to lack any kind of life, whether it be plants or animals, the tower itself seemed to be covered in multiple different kinds of greenery. “This probably means there is an active mana source, which would make sense as it is a dungeon.” Noah started to explain these things for himself, trying to find any piece of possible logic in this place. There barely seemed to be any, and he felt sorry he didn’t do a bigger research of this place. But honestly, his first experience in a different dungeon was no different, as it was confusing from the beginning and once Noah would advance it just uncovered itself naturally. This seemed to be a likely scenario here as well, however the feeling of advancing through a tower that was already leaned in this dangerously wasn’t making him exactly excited. Also, by the feeling of it, Noah would be very surprised if he found any humans or humanoids here. Finally, he made it to the giant doors covered by green lianas. It seemed like a first red flag, as the entrance was obviously blocked. Thankfully, Noah just clenched his fist, as he activated his only melee spell. This would cover his hand with gravity magic, making the road throughout lianas rather easy.[break] FLOOR 1 ROOM 1 [break] After making it in, he found himself in a circular room covered in dark. The very few light coming was from the imperfections in the walls, and Noah understood this was the first room of the dungeon itself. Unlike a Cursed Forest, the temperature here was so high it was almost unbearable. That much more for Noah as he hated heat and anything connected to it. It didn’t take him long before he noticed that he was walking in something that was rather dense, and he wasn’t alone. Thankfully, the companions that were there currently were only flies and mosquitos, which he didn’t fancy, but it was still better than those screeching mandrakes. “Oh I think this is a quicksand?” He asked little confused, as he noticed that he was much deeper than he initially was. And he was right, he started to sink even deeper, which was rather annoying, but at the same time he trusted his own skills by now, and having his spell still active, he could just manipulate one of the nearby lianas to descend a little that he could reach it. With this, he managed to push himself up into the staircase, that was on the other side of the room. This seemed to lead into another room, however Noah decided to wait here, on the other side of room for his whole team to arrive, as he had no idea who they were or what they were capable of. He made sure to use his magic to manipulate lianas in a way, that even the weaker ones could hold onto them and basically slide into another side of the room, towards him.

His Highness desired that the history of the hunchback should be written down, and placed in the archives beside that of the barber, so that they might be associated in people's minds to the end of time. And he did not stop there; for in order to wipe out the memory of what they had undergone, he commanded that the tailor, the doctor, the purveyor and the merchant, should each be clothed in his presence with a robe from his own wardrobe before they returned home. As for the barber, he bestowed on him a large pension, and kept him near his own person.

[attr="class","alvatext"] Young mage was listening everyone carefully, it was obvious he was trying to concentrate very hard but a few times his sight ran away towards the window outside, as there were birds obviously having a lot of fun. This made him smile, however after a short while he reminded himself to stay focused so he can learn more about his squad. This happened several times during the whole introduction process, but Alva managed to listen most of the talks. When it was Lydia´s turn, Alva wasn’t very sure what new could she tell as she was already very well known, however when she stated that she is aiming to become Azure Deer´s captain, Alva wanted to gasp, but he didn’t as apparently it wasn’t such a big deal and Aias didn’t take that as an offense. This allowed him to be actually happy for her, as he could imagine her being a great captain, with all her experience but it would also mean the whole training would just get harder, as she would hold the squad to higher standards that current captain did now. That made Alva rather excited, as being under wings of one of the strongest mages in the Kingdom could be only beneficial. Alva already felt like he was cheating on the current captain. [break] Once Joseph introduced himself, Alva gave him a warm smile and made sure to speak, when appropriate. “I am sure we will be friends Joseph! I am sorry I currently can´t talk with hands but I will be sure to learn that in future so we can communicate better.” He was glad that everyone in the squad seemed very likable and there weren’t any bullies or stuck up people. Once Sai introduced himself, it was very hard for Alva to understand what he said, as he got distracted for a moment. Were his parents dead? Alva couldn’t even imagine this feeling, and it gave him some dark thoughts about losing his own parents, whom he loved dearly. Quickly working on getting rid of these thoughts, he then waved at him symbolically, before the captain would speak once again. Praising Alva for his introduction gave him a boost of confidence, which he assumed was the goal of that anyway. Captain came out very nice to him, which surprised him as he used to hear mostly negative things about his behavior in the past, however that didn’t seem to be the case.[break] As the mention of people´s elements happened, this got Alva interested way more than the introductions themselves. He already knew that Joseph had carbon matter with sound oddity, which sounded really interesting even though young mage couldn’t imagine it, but it just made him more excited for the exhibition, he never really saw a mapmaking in the process, but he was already convinced it would look really interesting. Sound magic seemed to be a theme here, as Sai revealed that he uses it same, in different way, but it also just meant that there was another interesting thing to be seen. Alva himself was a very visual type, therefore when the captain disappeared to show his magic, he wasn’t very intrigued. It was sure a rare form of magic. “Soo captain can you make things disappear as well?” He asked as if he just wanted to see more of it, but he got partly more interested as Aias manifested his other magic, which was a pure aura, not that it would be visually the coolest, but at least it was … well visible. [break] Now that it was Alva´s turn to show his magic, he was already smiling mischievously as if he was sure to amaze everyone. He stood up from his chair, and for a moment started to think where his magic would be manifested the best. Not figuring out anything in particular, he decided to get on a table everyone was sitting around, and as he stood he coughed a couple times as if he tried to get an attention. “Soo, my magic is really cool.” He said, obviously being very proud of himself, or in better words his magic. “I use water magic, which I know you might think that’s rather odd for a Vermillion to do that, as we are known for elements that are hot and stuff.” He paused for a second to make it a little more dramatic. “But I actually have an oddity myself, let me show you.” He suddenly pulled out his bubble pipe from his pockets, which was basically just a bamboo blowing pipe. “Playground.” He said quietly, and he blew into the pipe as many miniature bubbles came out and flooded the whole room. “Yes, its bubbles I could be considered a bubble mage.” He smiled as he got distracted by his own bubbles for a moment, trying to pop them furiously before he would remind himself what he was supposed to do. “But the core of my magic is actually something else.” He said, as one of the bubble that was far away from the group of deers suddenly popped, and caused a minor explosion and accidently destroyed a drawer it was dear. Alva got scared for a second and he looked at Aias with an apologetic look. “Ops, I am sorry, that sometimes happens.” He was really sorry, but he still wasn’t done with his manifestation, so he continued to speak. “It can be very offensive, you know it is actually a water magic with explosion oddity, so the bubbles I make can be explosive.” He smiled as he turned around everyone to see reactions. He would expect them to be surprised or amazed but that was mostly what Alva thought of his magic himself. [break] “I can do a lot of things with it, as for example this, please please do not use any sensory abilities right now.” He asked as the next thing he would perform would be his small illusion. He flicked his fingers and a lot of bubbles would disappear without exploding, only a couple remained and they got way bigger in size. He opened his mouth now, and a large bubble came out of it. He quickly entered it and suddenly reappeared in all the bubbles present in the room. He then wanted to explain, even though everyone probably knew what was going on already. “Yes, it’s a simple illusion, it might not be as effective here, but not everyone is as… perceptive as us!” He basically told his own location now, as the illusion was purely visual, they all could hear him from the giant bubble in the middle of the table. Suddenly, all the bubbles popped again, without any explosions as it was time to end his demonstration. “I can also use them to track targets…” He scratched his head. “But I can´t cast more spells at the same time just yet.” He then bowed as his performance was over, and jumped down from the table, waiting for Lydia to manifest her magic as he was sure this would be a spectacle to enjoy.

[attr="class","noahtext"] The flight on Kikka went really well, so well it made Noah briefly forget about his broom. It was an unusual feeling, riding on something soft and being able to feel the lower part of the body. It didn’t go numb as it usually does when Noah flights for longer distances using his broom, which he managed to buy from a sketchy vendor on the streets of Royal Capital. Verena was leading the way, navigating the golems which worked really well for Noah, as he could focus on the surroundings and conversation. The only thing he had to do was to hold onto the cloth golem. When she answered his question, he smiled a little – maybe he wasn’t that terrible at conversations as he initially thought. The fact that her reply felt very intimate had made him feel much more comfortable, blurring the imaginary line between their ranks and standings. It helped him loosen up a little and answer without overthinking every single word he would say, therefore he naturally chuckled when she mentioned she gets scared very easily. [break] “That honestly makes the two of us, but at least it will be less awkward if something scary encounters us… Or at least I hope so.” His mind went straight to the Cursed Forest when a group of overgrown mutated spiders jumped out on Noah and his group in complete darkness. He might have peed himself at that moment, but he wouldn’t confess that anyway. He quickly returned to the present, as Verena continued elaborating on her fears. Maybe they have been talking about different kinds of fear, but the young mage could understand that she had probably been through a lot, and for a little while he felt amazed with the coping mechanism she developed. “I think that is a great and healthy way to try and take control over things you normally can´t control. I am terrified of physical pain, but I didn’t really manage to do something about it, other than base my whole skill set around keeping the distance…” [break] It was something that Noah had realized not that long ago, the difference between how he endured pain and how everyone else did. He still couldn’t tell if he was that sensitive, or if it was the fact that during his whole childhood, even when he tried to learn and control his magic for the first time, physical pain somehow always managed to avoid him. It caught up to him now, being a Magic Knight meant also doing tasks that naturally had elements of danger in them. This was one of the things on the list that he needed to work on, and once there was enough time and space to do so, he had some plans already prepared. Magic Knight that was capable of passing out after receiving a minor cut was of no use anyway. [break] “Anyway, I hope I get to see more of your creations.” He smiled, as he managed to snap out of his imaginary self-pity party. The speed of the golem finally checked out, as it just proved that this was indeed a lower rank golem. Noah admired people with such a sense of perfectionism because he was never one of them. It took her magic to another whole level, and honestly, using magic to process personal hardships was a very interesting concept that he didn’t think about before. [break] Once the golems stopped, Noah jumped down and took a closer look at the tracks which were very much disturbing. They were around seven to eight feet long; the farmers weren’t lying. Why would they do that anyway? With the trees being broken in half, Noah´s theory about bandits seemed to be getting less and less likely to be true. “This is certainly disturbing.” He said as he looked onto other footprints that were leading all the way to the forest. Once Verena mentioned nomads, Noah would just scratch his head. “Sooo, the woman said that the tribe lives in the mountainous area. She did not exactly specify the location, I suppose you are right and we should head north.” With this, he started walking towards broken trees, which probably marked the start of it. “I could try and use my very miserable sensory skills to see if I catch any mana signs. But somehow I feel like following these tracks could get us closer to that mysterious tribe, even if the farmers said that it is a dead end.” At this point, there was no reason to not believe what the old couple had said, but it seemed like the only lead they had. [break] What worried him a little was the fact that the forest was apparently destroyed, and it seemed like something quite big had made its way through it. They also had no idea what the tribe was like, or if it was even real. “Can you smell that too?” He asked as the wind blew a little in their direction, bringing a smell of something rotting alongside it.
