Joining the blue roses felt like a good fit for the pink-haired foreigner. She fit right in like she had been there before. It was true though, in another life, in another time, she was a part of Blue Roses temporarily. She had no clue of it, no one else had a clue about it. But, the reincarnation of Fibi von Engel living in the shoes of Willow Omens was enjoying time with her new brigade, and the people therein.
Willow was overjoyed to be a part of Blue Roses, so much so that she offered to host a number of them in her hometown, New Haven. It was an offer to come for a feast and a minor festival for her family to give them.
In the Blue Rose base, Willow had tried to reach out to her fellows, "I am hoping to have some of you join me for this! I would be having the most pleasure to show you my home!"
those that did decide to come along would be given the date and time they were leaving.
On the day of, everyone would travel via broom, it was a long way away and normal carriage or foot travel just would not do. Instead, getting there by flight was the first leg of the journey. Off to the heavily forested region of the forsaken region, there was a clear sight of what they were looking for.
Among the sprawl of trees, there was one that stood taller than the rest. By over five times the height and tens of times the thickness. It was like a skyscraper of a tree with a massive canopy that dwarfed the entire forest! Vines hung down from the branches to the floor below. The strangest thing about this tree though was the clear sign of lanterns and life living within it.
"It's there! In the tree!" Willow shouted to those that had come along and made a direct path for the first opening within the foliage.
With a fast dive through, leaves gave way and feet came to a halt on a landing dock of wood planks. Willow was the first to step off and turn to greet her fellow squad members.
"I am welcoming you all, to New Haven!" Down the stairs she would lead, giddy like a wellspring of youth.
New Haven was a town, a city, living within a tree. There were walkways spanning to and fro from one level of branches to others. Open spaces between the branches had been given wooden flooring with rope banisters to keep people from falling. It was like a giant treehouse! If that tree house was lined with hundreds of homes and dozens of shops.
The people of New Haven were like Willow, more physically fit than your average mage, Skins ranged from fair to tan, and most hair colors were a gradient from reds to oranges to yellows.
Paper lanterns were lining the paths constantly, as this was a tree-borne village, light seldom came through. It gave the town a constant night life vibe and a welcoming warmth to those that had come to visit.

Eudora wasn't entirely comfortable in the Blue Roses yet. She'd been spending so much time focusing on learning social etiquettes and how best to entertain guests of the Jaeger estate that she felt her magic might've been too weak to be a proper magic knight. Still, the opportunity to become one wasn't going to pass her up. Applying to the Blue Rose she'd known she'd be able to form a close sisterly bond with a number of nobles and other magic knights. She'd have tried the Silver Eagles but she felt she'd actually weaken the reputation of the Jaeger family there.
She needed to attend some sort of social event. Some way that she could bond with her fellow magical knights and spread the good word of her family's name surreptitiously enough that it leaves a good impression on their heads. It's something that will indefinitely prove to be . . . difficult with Echo's behavior at the last Magic Knight Exam but still something entirely doable.
She was ruminating over how to solve this issue when she overhead a particularly rambunctious girl invite the Blue Rose Squad to some sort of social outing. "Perfect!" ,She thought. This was her chance to bond with the other members off of the battlefield. Without having to worry about combat abilities, Eudora would be able to befriend the other members of the Blue Rose.
She made what she thought would be necessary preparations for the gathering. Eudora cooked a batch of Jam filled coffee bread and wrapped the basket around her broom for safekeeping while they flew off to New Haven. She was used to traveling from her childhood when she had to move between the Witches Forest and the Jaeger Family Home in the common realm, but New Haven was further out than expected. She sighed in relief when Willow called them down to her home, the bustling town of New Haven.
"Well this is familiar."
Eudora smiled at the sight of New Haven. It was much like the village that surrounded her families estate. Hardworking men and careless children with sun-kissed (or well some were actually rather pale) skin were working and playing throughout the town almost uncaring of the arrival of the Blue Roses. It reminded her of the villages surrounding her estate somewhat and how variable the people living in them were. She was amazed at the sight of New Haven. So many elves in one place. She pondered for a second about the idea of bringing the Blue roses down to the Witches Forest, but realized that would be antithetical to her goals. "If mother starts on one of her tirades against the Jaeger family again I'm fairly certain I'd have only tarnished the family name" It would be much better to bring her back to the Jaeger estate . . . as long as Echo wasn't there.
. . . and father was in a good mood. . . . and she knew exactly where Pasha was.
Just thinking about the issues that could arise from careless taking everyone to the Jaeger estate caused her a slight headache that was visibly showing on Eudora's face. She reflexively pinched her forehead trying to list all the possible things that could go wrong before sighing and looking up at Willow.
"Ah, thank you for inviting us to your home. New Haven is a rather beautiful place."

Victoria found herself sitting in the common rooms of the Blue Rose headquarters, enjoying the social atmosphere as she relaxed from her hectic week. With her recent inclusion into the Blue Roses, her father had felt it prudent to increase his teachings of the family business to her as well as having her around more to his business meetings so that she could get a feel for them. When the time came, it would be her having to do this as she built and expanded on the family's shipping enterprise. Of course, when the time came for her to take over, she had her own plans that she wanted to implement that she felt would bear fruit and rise her family through the ranks. One couldn't say that Victoria herself wasn't an ambitious woman and it showed in her work effort though she made sure that she didn't burn herself out or cause herself too much stress. That was why whenever she could have small moments like this to relax, she took them as she wouldn't have the chance to do so in the future with the same amount of frequency.
Of course, her calm would be ruined as Willow would come bursting in through the door, excitedly asking those present if . If she remembered correctly, the excitable girl was from some small no-name village in the forsaken realm and while Victoria wouldn't normally see the point in going to such an out of the way village, she was trying to get to know her squadmates so this presented a good opportunity to do so. There was also the fact that she recognized one of the girls who agreed to go, being from a minor noble family as well so it wouldn't be as if Victoria would be completely surrounded by peasants the entire time. "I would love to get to see your home Willow. When were you thinking we should head out there?" Victoria wanted to make sure that she properly planned out as she was sure that this would end up being a day trip since the Forsaken Realm was a bit of a trip from here and it wasn't as if they would be teleporting over there.
Victoria had arrived promptly outside the squad barracks on the day Willow had stated, arriving with a small satchel bag over her shoulder. Se grimaced, seeing the brooms that would be serving as their means of transportation though she wasn't surprised to see them. While she would have preferred to travel in her usual style of a carriage, somewhere that she could be comfortable for the entire trip, she knew that it wouldn't be possible to do so given where they would be going. She would prefer not to use brooms to get there as she found it to be undignified but she didn't really have many options to be able to follow the group. She could of course summon one of her golems to ride but she'd end up having to travel by ground to do so, separating her from the rest of the group. That wasn't really acceptable to do when they were supposed to be getting to know one another so Victoria would simply have to put up with it for the time being. Hopefully, the trip to her village wouldn't be that long, minimizing how long Victoria would have to sit on the broom.
Pretty soon, everyone had arrived and the group took off over the treetops as they followed Willow's lead. Victoria found herself glad that she had chosen an appropriate style of clothing in anticipation of having to fly on a broomstick as she maintained her grip on the flimsy piece of wood. The fact that people trusted something like this to be able to fly long distances simply baffled her. But what could one expect the lower-class citizens to do to get around? Not everyone was blessed with strong mana to be able to make their own forms of transportation so they were forced to rely on such archaic ways to do so. "Though perhaps I should have simply gone with riding my golem." she thought with a slightly irritated look on her face as she dodged around another branch as the group began to descend after a few hours into their journey as they made their way towards the largest tree in the clearing.
As they began to land, Victoria couldn't help but notice the physic of everyone who lived here, being far more fit than what she was used to seeing around the noble realms though since they all lived in a giant tree, it made sense. "Your village is built into a giant tree? How interesting. Are there by local shops or sights that we should see, places to eat at?" Victoria asked after they all had landed on a loading dock set off just outside the heart of the village. New Haven was a pleasant sight with paper lanterns strewn about the multilevel walkways. She had been curious when Willow had first described it but the fact that an entire town had managed this was a credit to the original settlers. In fact, this was more of a small city than a town and she found herself eager to try some of the local cuisines, curious about what they had to offer though the first thing that she had to do was introduce herself to her other squadmate. Turning to her, Victoria curtsied in greeting to her before speaking "I didn't get a chance to do so early but I'm Victoria Dubois, it's a pleasure to meet you."
