Cecile Iris du Ange, wandering knight of the black bulls, wayward fallen angel from the heavens, chuunibyou case extraordinaire. She was these things, yes, but she was many more. She was formerly a thief, and yearned to be the greatest thief to ever live at the same time, a thief of justice. She was a weird girl, let's put it as simple as that. As if her gilded white and black grimoire weren't enough, she had this out of the ordinary personality that got her into trouble more often than not.
Now, dear reader, you might be wondering what all of this has to do with the story of the evening. Well dear reader, you should know she's been on the hunt for several things as of late! She wanted more power, she wanted to fight for herself, she wanted to understand herself better. These could be answered in the magic research town of Babel! Maybe. Hopefully? Probably...? Yeah, probably -- she hoped.
She stood at the border of the town, hands on her hips, coin purse heavy with folded Yul ready to spend. On the docket for the day was to do some shopping for magic items, she wanted to fight more, see if she could fight at all. it seemed that her first major hurdle was her magic though. She should prioritize some research on her magic first, right? No, she wanted something that could let her defend herself in case she bumped into any former colleagues of hers.
Listing through the crowd like a lazy boat drifting down an easy river, the simple-dressed redhead just twisted and turned her torso to avoid bumping the various merchants and citizens, her eyes were locked on that massive tower for the first few minutes of her march through the town. And you know what dear reader? She didn't bump into anyone and start a fight for once!!! New record Cece!
Her first stop was a magic tool shop, something that sold a variety of element imbued tools that allowed people to supplement themselves. And even magic enhancing tools. There were rings, bracelets, necklaces, the whole shebang! Focuses to help you channel your magic? They had them! Something for Cecile to wield offensively? Well, no, she tested at least two dozen weapons in the back room, grumbling at the fact that she could not wield any weapon without her element attached to it, and her element was not one for fighting!
That meant it was time to head back out onto the cobblestone paved main street of Babel and start heading toward the research center to do some digging around about Angelic Magic and if there were ever any other users of it in history.
