"Everything is theoretically impossible, until it is done!"
Although Griswold and Frankie had managed to free most of the civilians and escape certainty catastrophe Frankie could simply not let go of the fact that something was amiss. The weather in the area had been far too strange. Even now, the snow didn’t seem to be letting up, although they weren’t in any blizzard the reality was that it been snowing nonstop now for days and that was very unusual for the area. Couple that with the fact that the snow held no sign of melting. The temperature outside was cold enough that it made sense the environment wouldn’t cause it to melt, but there were enough people the city that their body heat should have made the temperature rise enough to make up for the freezing temperature outside. At a bare minimum the snow surrounding houses where there was smoke coming from the chimneys should have at least melted. It wasn’t just the heat from people it was contending with, but also the fires. The snow had melted when directly subjected to Griswold’s Solar magic, but that was only with direct application. It struck him as all very odd, at least now that there wasn’t anyone in immediate danger he could turn to Griswold and talk for a bit.
“I heard the rumors of odd weather for Aries Garse, but this is outside my predictions. Have you been in the city long? If you have any data, I am not aware of it would be greatly appreciated. I find my information still too lacking to formulate a proper hypothesis. This could be a natural change in weather caused by the effects of pollution produced by Aries Garse, but although they are one of the larger urban cities in the Forsaken Region their business is mostly tourism. I’d have suspected such shifts in a city where there was more processing of materials. Could it be an application of Transformation magic? Transmuting the temperature in the area or altering the environment to generate the snow somehow?” Frankie hated offering ideas without a firm basis in any evidence. However, he was truly vexed by the entire situation. He felt like there was something going on, but didn’t have the means to explore it further just yet. Perhaps if he was talented in Sensory magic or had some other means to be in tune with his surroundings, he might have been able to unearth better data he could use in his assessments. In the end though this was the best he could do for now. In all likelihood he would just have to wait to see if there were further developments so that he could continue fine tuning his hypothesis.
As if in answer there was a voice that pierced the air as if travelling on the cold breeze. “You…you think that these puny efforts can stop my snow?! I am supreme! A creature of extreme power! Winter is my domain and your poor efforts cannot stop me! Now deal with this! My army of Snow Men!” Frankie snapped his head up, both pleased that he had been correct that there was something more amiss than simple bad weather and also intrigued by this new threat. More importantly they had said something about an army of snow men? Were they about to find themselves contending with snow constructs?! How fascinating! Only moments had passed since the threatening voice had boomed and already some screams could be heard in the distance. Civilians would begin running past the pair, clearly attempting to escape something or someone. Not far behind them Frankie could just make out the first of these constructs. At first glance they looked like a snowman that any child would make. They had coal eyes and carrot noses. However, their movements and actions were not anything you would find in a children’s story. Instead, they chased people with shovels, only breaking long enough to smash shops or cause other property damage. There was at least fourteen that Frankie could see, but there very well could be others all over the town.
“It appears there truly is a mastermind behind the threat to Aries Garse. I’ll do what I can to cover for those creatures that are focusing on the citizens so you are free to focus on where you can do the most damage them.” Frankie had seen Griswold work magic a few times now and he knew that the other man simply outclassed him. If there were any large contingents of these constructs Griswold was far better suited for dealing with them all swiftly and efficiently. If he remained distracted by anyone who could potentially be in danger it would hinder his maximum capabilities. The mad mage had no problem acting as support to cover in that area so that Griswold could do what he did best. “Servants of Creation!” Frankie shouted the spell’s name, resummoning the apes he had previously dismissed after using them to free people from the snow and ice. The familiar looking large monkeys formed out of Carbon Matter and with a quick mental nudge charged off to begin ushering people away from the conflict and interposing themselves against any snowmen who might wish to continue the chase. As they moved Frankie continued in his casting shouting, “Earthen Raptor!” With his second command phrase more Carbon Matter continued to surge from his grimoire forming into four large eagles. These birds were immediately sent out as well, wasting no time in assisting the apes. The battle had only just started, but Frankie would trust in Griswold’s abilities and move his golems accordingly. He had seen the other man deal with far worse.

Frankie suspects something is amiss and questions the nature of it all when speaking to Griswold. A mysterious voice threatens the city and the snowmen attack. Frankie offers to cover for the citizens while Griswold deals with as many threats as he sees fit.
Description: To activate this spell Frankie will merely call out the name of the spell. Upon doing so Carbon will pour out of his grimoire. The Carbon Matter will gather until a 3m in size ape has been crafted. Per the Golem rules additional Golems can be created when using this spell based on Frankie's Control to the maximum based on rank of the spell, 5 being the max at Junior. These Apes will often serve as guardians to Frankie, putting their own body in the path of attacks if necessary. As well as the frontal assault bringing their size to bear on any target indicated by Frankie. Each Golem can serve as transportation if necessary, but are limited to a single passenger each and can only move at 5 m/s while serving as such.

The Magic Knight Mantle is an Item in which Magic Knights wear to show the Squad that are in. Each Squad has a different color Mantle along with their own squad logo as well. When these items were built they were made out of a special material that allows them to be unbreakable from any sort of attack, but does not block the wearer from any attacks. Magic Knights of the Clover Kingdom has worn these Mantles for hundreds of years.
With Franklin making his way over to him and claiming a bunch of things with regards to what was happening here, there were a bunch of statements that were undoubtedly true. Still, he did not believe this snowfall was not caused by some kind of hostile mage or something else that could control the winter weather to some degree. He had heard stories of how certain emissions were harmful for the surrounding nature and even the people, making them prone to get sick more often and even more quick to suffer from allergies. But for it to affect the weather in such extreme ways seemed impossible, especially in this localised manner. So as he pondered on what to say to Franklin in response, which was not something he really had prepared, it turned out there was no longer a need for it as a booming voice was heard overhead, claiming responsibility for all of it.
One would imagine that after some time filled with all sorts of strange events, occurrences and a whole lot of outlandish beings and adversaries, that someone would stop being shocked or at the very least no longer feel blindsided by them. But as things would have it, that was not the case for Griswold, at least it wasn’t yet at this point in time. To say that he had not expected someone or something to be responsible for this however, that was not true, though he had not expected them to expose themselves in this manner by being as loud and upfront about it. Still, they had not shown themselves, continuing to remain hidden while using a proxy to do the damage in their stead. And if there was one thing he did not respect, it was when someone had beef with someone else and refused to actually show up in person, paying others to do their dirty work. That was the noble way of handling things.
“Well, I guess now we know that we need to look for a person, or a thing that has caused all of this rather than any natural phenomenon. Let’s go.”
Since he more or less agreed with Franklin’s assessment of the situation, they did not really need to talk about how best to handle it as the man made it rather clear that he was to be acting as his support. And given the golems he could conjure up, taking on a supporting role and making sure the people remained unharmed was no less useful than actually getting rid of the threats themselves. Using his Ki and his sensory capabilities to see if he could locate the origin of the voice, it still appeared to be outside of his range, which was quite bothersome to him. Moving out to meet these odd looking snowmen, which seemed like they had been made by children in a backyard somewhere, the fact that they’d attack stores and homes really made it seem like the one behind all of this truly had beef with the people living in this particular town, rather than people in general.
Trying his hardest to figure out what they might be dealing with or who, he made his way over to the nearest snowman, punching his fist right through one of their heads. On the way back out, he grabbed hold of the sharp carrot nose before tossing it at full force towards another, which it passed through like a crossbow bolt through a straw dummy, even going as far as hitting the one right behind it. While it was true that Griswold had gotten quite strong as far as physique went, it hadn’t been until he unlocked a previously unknown avenue of his magic that he had been able to channel his strength into pulling off these feats of strength. To turn a carrot into a weapon, that was not something just about anyone could do, and it made him that much more dangerous an adversary as he knew quite well that he could even kill a man with a chair if need be.
So with two of the men of snow taken care of, more and more came swarming in, aiming to destroy the places that were being held off by golems. And while it might have seemed like Griswold was just fist fighting a bunch of snow monsters, he was actually using this chance to get a feel for them. To figure out the exact feel of the mana inside of them, their unique signature, just so he might be able to trace it back to whatever was the cause of all of this like a trail of breadcrumbs. Crushing the heads of two more incoming snowmen, one with each hand, getting rid of some of the excess mana in the area helped narrow things down. And even if the culprit was nowhere to be found, getting rid of as many of these men of snow before they could do any real damage was never a bad thing, so he’d just keep on going.

"Everything is theoretically impossible, until it is done!"
Frankie was pleased that Griswold had been quick on the draw in following through with his recommendation. The other man had to understand that he served as a far bigger threat then Frankie could, especially if he used his magic on a grander scale. Couple that with the fact that his Element could in fact melt these constructs and he would prove to be a very credible threat to the lot of them. The question was how directly overseen were these constructs. He doubted they had an intelligence to them. They likely were acting in much the same way his golems were. They had been given telepathic orders and were merely seeing them out. However, if whoever that voice belonged to was watching them from afar they might recognize how much damage Griswold was doing to his forces and redirect a number of the golems to intercede and try to overwhelm him. The mad mage was certainly hoping for that. If this man was more intelligent than that and simply looking to maximize carnage he might recognize the lost cause for what it was and try to overrun as many as the townsfolk as possible with the snowmen and only leave a small force to try and preoccupy Griswold. Least, that was what Frankie would do if he was looking to inflict the most casualties before his forces were completely routed.
Watching Griswold steamroll through a small handful of the snowmen was proof that the division of duties had been the correct choice. Frankie knew that Griswold was stronger than the typical person, but he was acutely reminded of that fact as he watched the other man punch through the face of a snowman and then use its carrot nose like a throwing dagger to impale several others. It was an impressive feat and Frankie wondered how much of it was simply the man's own physical abilities and how much of it might be the support of Physical Reinforcement magic? If Frankie had any talents in Sensory magic he might have been able to sense what or if Griswold was using any magic. However, with his paltry skills he would simply have to go by sight. Physical Reinforcement ran a pretty wide gambit so there was just as likely to be very obvious signs of its use as there could be almost no evidence. Each spell was different and could be as visual as an aura or armor or as subtle as some small tattoos. From Frankie's angle he could not make out anything of the sort as Griswold fought.
Unfortunately for Frankie although it did seem like most of the snowmen had been tied up by Griswold not all of them were so keen to take on the barehanded brawler. Some had continued on with their destruction of the town or attempts to harm civilians. There were at least seven in particular who seemed determined to continue carrying out their original mission. Stein wasted no time commanding his golems to intercede and prevent those constructs from harming anyone or anything further. His raptors had little trouble complying with the orders. They descended like the eagles that they were, crashing into the snowman and turning them into so much powder in an instant. The snowmen had tried to fend them off in a desperate attempt, swinging shovels and other makeshift weapons to keep them at bay. However, the eagles had the upper hand by sticking to the sky and had been able to choose their moment of attack. They had allowed the snowmen to swing wildly and only charged in at the mental nudge of Frankie when their opponents had committed too greatly and were now off balance. Because of this they were able to catch them all off guard and crush each snowman before they had a chance to recover and bring back their weapons. The altercation took seconds, but that was all that was needed. The weight of the heavy Carbon Matter had proven more useful then the claws or beaks of the golems ever could. They simply landed and crushed the golems underneath, their snow bodies not designed to hold up any real weight.
The mad mage's apes proved to be having a more difficult time. Although they outnumbered their group of snowmen five to three they were slower than the frosty constructs and they didn't seem to be capable of taking the same beating. Without the maneuverability of flight or speed like the eagles had it came down to a simple exchange of blows. Fists would rain down by the apes, punching out small holes in the bodies of the snowmen. However, despite the damage they enemy constructs kept on fighting. The shovels and other tools that they used were just enough to chip away at the Carbon Matter the apes were made of and after the brief interlocking of battle the snowmen stepped away wounded, but still standing. Meanwhile three of the five apes were now crumpled on the floor, having been fully destroyed. There were still two apes remaining, but this had less to do with the quality of their creation and more to do with the fact that the snowmen had been focused on the three they had managed to destroy. Another exchange like that would likely result in all the apes being destroyed, but that was fine by Frankie. The apes purpose was more to hold on just long enough for the more dominant eagles to join the fray and that would hopefully be the case given that they were already tying up loose ends on their side.
Even while all this was going on Frankie was ushering people back into the homes they had only just dug them out of. It was a little annoying to have gone through all that work to free them only to send them scurrying right back in, but it was better than nothing. The houses although not proof against the cold were sturdy enough that they would be able to survive a considerable time against the weapons of the snowmen. Even if any did manage to make it past the pair, something Frankie's calculations proved to be improbable given Griswold's talents, it would take them some time before they'd be able to batter the doors or any of the makeshift barricades to get into the homes and actually threaten anyone. This whole fight would be drawing to an obvious conclusion soon enough. Even if the numbers never depleted once all the citizens were safe behind walls there was no way the snowmen would ever get to them before they were all destroyed or reinforcing Magic Knights arrived. Frankie now just needed to focus on tying up the remaining three on his end and potentially supporting Griswold.
[attr="class","hansheader"]N O T E S
Frankie watches Griswold's effective fighting and then focuses on 7 snowmen that ignored Griswold and kept trying to attack citizens and buildings. Frankie sends in his own golems to battle the constructs. 3/7 snowmen remain vs 4/4 raptors and 2/5 Apes. The rest of his should be easily cleared next post.

Magic Knights of the Clover Kingdom has worn these Mantles for hundreds of years. Abilities:
Taking out a fair bunch of these snowmen, the fact that more of them seemed to just be coming from the ground was really annoying him to the point where it was becoming easier and easier to lose sight of what else was going on around him. Due to the fact that his base senses had been elevated to one that was similar to that of some animals and monsters, which increased his sight, smell, hearing and even his sense of taste, most of those did not really help him in this situation. While he was not exactly being overwhelmed by these lesser opponents and their numbers, those that did not outright attack him managed to slip through the cracks as they were made of the same white substance that was covering the entire area, as well as the ones that were getting up front and personal with him. So when basic senses were being muddled, it was a good thing he had his Ki and his mana sensory ability at his disposal.
Feeling like a bat using echolocation, he quickly managed to locate every single threat within a fair radius of himself, allowing him to respond to them with greater accuracy. Though they were not very strong, at least not compared to what he could dish out at present, their numbers were becoming rather bothersome. Punching several more out of the equation, he saw how several had gotten around him and had begun clashing with Franklin’s golems, meaning neither he nor Franklin were the targets of this assault. While he had already thought it before, he had to now think it again as it was clear that this was an attack on Aries Garse itself and all of the people inside of it. Still leading him to conclude that this was likely the work of a mage that could utilize snow in the same way Franklin controlled whatever graphite-looking element he had.
Punching what felt like at least the tenth snowman in the head or the torso and causing it to collapse, he saw how Franklin was taking out the snow “golems” on his end, which made it easier for him to focus on the larger brunt of them. And seeing as how more of them were coming in, Griswold was rapidly starting to get fed up with them as they began rising again from the north. Deciding to make an exception, a small orb formed in his hand as he pointed it towards the street they were flooding in from. Believing that if he activated and released the flow of mana shortly after, mixed with the cold temperature and snow being nothing more than frozen water likely taking care of any leftover burns, he went with his gut and shot it right at them. Moving quickly and covering the distance in no time, the spell would erupt near the incoming combatants.
As it erupted, the blast disrupted the forms of the golems with the heat that was released, quickly evaporating them and causing a temporary burst of boiling water to run through that portion of the street. Making it uncrossable for the others, any of the other snowmen that wandered in suffered the same fate as the others. And for obvious reasons, as the boiling water quickly cooled down and rapidly froze over to become a very slippery field of ice, no more of them rose from that area. In fact, it seemed that whoever was causing all of this to happen had more or less decided that this was not something that was sustainable. Or rather, perhaps it was, but it did not have the desired results that this person or being was looking to achieve. For Griswold, Franklin and quite literally everyone else in Aries Garse, that much was good news.
With Franklin likely rounding up what few remained, the sheer amount of snowmen that had fallen this day could have marked it as a massacre, though they were clearly not alive. For if they were, they might have been considered war criminals some day.

In addition, these projectiles flare up from time to time, allowing them to blind those looking at it for one whole post. These "stars" can flare up to blind someone once every two posts in which they're active, making them rather tricky to deal with. Upon hitting a target, they explode to cover a certain radius, knocking targets back 4 meters + 5 meters for every 10 Power the caster possesses. "Everything is theoretically impossible, until it is done!"
With only two golems left Frankie felt secure enough to spare a glance at Griswold. He didn't think the other man was going to need his help, but just because the other man was considerably stronger then he didn't mean there a situation where Frankie could assist further hadn't arisen. There could always be a scenario that the mad mage was better equipped to handle just like there could be any number of situations where the same could be same for Griswold as opposed to Frankie. Of course, his concern had been unnecessary. Although countless snow constructs continued to form out of the endless material around them they were no match to the onslaught Griswold was willing to unleash against them. In a blink of an eye the other wizard had likely killed twice as many as Frankie's golems had managed. Up until this point he had strictly been using his own body as the weapon of choice. Now that Frankie had a moment to process that seemed to be Griswold's preferred approach to violence in any previous encounter Frankie had witnessed as well. Whether it was in the Treant or against Wargs, each time Griswold had either relied solely on his bare fists or at best had used a mundane weapon to make short work of the enemy.
Despite this though the sheer numbers of the constructs made the tactics seem like a slow endless battle. Griswold clearly felt the same as he began to cast a spell. This would be the first time Frankie would get to witness Griswold casting an actual spell and he couldn't help, but be distracted by the display. Not only because it was a chance to actually study the stronger wizard's magic, but because the actual magic itself was dazzling and distracting in its nature. Watching the ball shoot across the area and explode to produce so much heat that a number of the golems simply melted and then evaporated had given Frankie much food for thought on the nature of Griswold's magic. Although he had seen him use heat earlier in freeing some of the citizens he didn't think the other man's magic was rooted in Fire or even the more complicated Lava Element. This application of magic seemed more primordial then that. Or perhaps the better term was celestial? Was this Solar magic? He had never actually encountered anyone who used that particular element, but it seemed the obvious conclusion after reviewing all the data he had gathered thus far. It was truly an enviable magic if that were the case! Frankie had Carbon Matter, one of the building block periodic elements that comprised most of the planet. However, what Griswold wields was the building block of the universe! To wield something akin to the big bang, Frankie wondered just what were the limits on such an element.
For now it seemed like the endless numbers of snow constructs had slowed down in some capacity. Frankie would use this momentary lull to finish off the remaining snow constructs that were left to his golems. Turning back to that fight Frankie watched as the four raptors he had commanded flew from the snowy remains of their battle and towards the one still raging. The three snowmen there although slightly damaged each were now pushing the advantage on the lone two apes that had survived the first round of conflict between the two parties. There charge was wordless, but had the Carbon Matter golems been made of flesh and bone it would have been a bloody sight. The three snowmen easily overcame the two apes, now outmatched in both numbers and physical abilities. They struck with their makeshift weapons over and over as the apes crumbled and eventually turned to rubble underneath their assault. However, they did not just stop at that, they continued to pummel the apes until there was almost nothing left of their original shape. This turned out though to be to the benefit of Frankie. As the snowmen had been so consumed in destroying those that had attacked they had not seen the raptors coming until it was far too late. The large birds continued with the same tactic which had served them so successfully in their previous bout. In a flying swoop they descended and pounced upon the three snowmen. Their additional number and the fact that they had caught the enemy unaware ensuring that none escaped them as they landed and smashed into each powdery construct. One of the snowmen had caught wind of the ambush just before it was sprung and had attempted to dodge out of the way. However, it had only avoided one of the eagles and no sooner did it raise its shovel for a counterattack that the extra fourth eagle crashed into it. The body went flying with his avian golem, leaving the shovel to clatter to the road underneath.
Although all of his apes had been destroyed in the battle ultimately Frankie's eagles had proven too much for those that had gotten around Griswold. In a battle of attrition the mad mage had no concerns. He knew full well he could always summon another group of apes to serve in the fight if needed and he wasn't going to be lacking in mana. If things really became hectic he would use his Restraining magic to tie up some of the snow golems and drain away what mana had been used to construct them in the process. This would not only nourish his draining stores, but perhaps even weaken some of the snowmen. After all, they only kept physical form due to the mana that was being supplied to them by whatever spellcaster was creating and commanding them. If Frankie could drain it quickly enough or cut them off from the source of their mana they would likely just end up falling apart into lifeless snow once again. For now though, between Frankie's battle and Griswold's it seemed like the worst might have passed for now. Whether more would keep coming was still uncertain, but if this was the doing of an enemy mage he could not keep this up forever. At least not in the amount of constructs he was generating. Eventually, the amount of mana he lost summoning new creations would be too much for him. "Your application of magic was quiet impressive Griswold! I do not think whoever is behind this will find continuing to use snow golems a wise choice when you can so easily melt them. Do you believe we have seen the last of the constructs for now or will there be another wave?" Frankie scanned the distance, attempting to see if any others were coming to assault, but for now he saw nothing. Then again, they were in a busy city and there were turns and alleyways throughout the area they were fighting. If more were here they could easily come around a street corner at any second.

Frankie watches Griswold's use Solar magic for the first time. Frankie destroys the remaining 2 snow golems, 0/7 left for him. However, he loses his apes 0/5 in the process while 4/4 eagles remain. The fight is quiet for now and Frankie asks Griswold if he thinks they are done for now.

These eagles will often serve as a way to keep Frankie airborne and away from ground based enemies. As well as serve as dangerous predators that will swoop in to assault with claw and beak. Each Golem can serve as transportation if necessary, but are limited to 2 passengers each and can only move at 10 m/s while serving as such.
Rank & Element: Junior Class & Type: Accessory Magic Specializations: N/A Appearance & Lore: The Magic Knight Mantle is an Item in which Magic Knights wear to show the Squad that are in. Abilities:
“I reckon this will be the last of this attempt, though I am quite confident we’re nowhere near the end of it. Because until I get to stand face to face with whomsoever sent his voice booming throughout the streets, there’s no way I’ll be able to consider this whole thing resolved.”
Though he felt the need to say it all out loud, there was no denying that for any halfway decent magic knight, this would be the proper way of going about it. Because throughout the day, one could go around fighting all of the symptoms and just call it quits and head back home, though as long as the thing causing the symptoms remained, the problem remained and could just continue along with new attacks. So for as long as was needed, he would just remain here before he got to continue his journey towards the last place he needed to be to pay tribute. But with the effectiveness of his own spell basically turning the origin point where the snowmen had been spawning from into a pool of thick ice, they would not need to worry themselves with any attacks in that particular area, as Franklin had more or less brought up already.
Continuing with something one knew to be folly was nothing short of insanity, though if the person or creature they were dealing with was in fact insane, they’d get to learn of it soon enough. One thing was sure though, there was a lot of arrogance surrounding it as no sane person would go about shouting at the top of their lungs how they were going to make short work of the place and how no one could do anything to stop it. But as anyone could see by now, two lone mages had already put a stop to at least two separate attempts at screwing a lot of people over at the same time. Be it by burying people under piles of snow or by having snowmen coming to live and destroying as much of the place as they could, both of these attempts had clearly been thwarted.
“As far as I can tell, there is no residual mana in the area, so whatever it was that was here, it’s not here anymore. That said though, I’m confident that it is still nearby, waiting to strike again.”
Having scanned the area for a lack of better word, Griswold imagined that it would not be easy to fool his senses after the level he had managed to push them to. And with so many of them being as fine-tuned as they were and working in unison, it would take some very skilled someone to fool him. Relaying this much to Franklin, he was not really sure what they should be doing next as all they could realistically do right now was wait until another attack was either announced or because he managed to sense the threat again. Hoping to sense it before it made itself known, as that meant they’d already be too late to intercept it before it really got into the whole indiscriminate destruction bit again, all they could really do now was wait.

[attr="class","frankiescroll"] It was only when Griswold reassured Frankie that they had destroyed the last of the snowman that he lowered his guard in any capacity. The more experienced mage had already shown a greater capacity to sense and his surroundings. The mad mage couldn't be certain if he was simply talented in Sensory magic or if perhaps he had some other way to know what might be going on around him. Frankie's theory was on the latter. He had heard abilities that existed, Ki in particular, that would allow the user to see through illusions and be able to detect life signs in a similar, but more restrictive fashion then what one could do with Sensory. Given what he had seen Griswold to previously as his only evidence Frankie was thinking it had to be the case. Although it was possible to sense things without Sensory spells Frankie had also not seen the man do any truly specialized Sensory spells. If he had the mad mage figured he would have used it. It certainly would have been the obvious move earlier when they were looking for trapped citizens who might be freezing to death. Still, that was a riddle to be solved another day. For now he would trust that Griswold spoke the truth and that there were no other snowmen to be concerned of.
"The fact that the assault ended is a positive sign at least. Had whoever was behind this been able to continue creating and sending snowmen in the numbers that they were generating it would mean they had quite a considerable amount of mana at their disposal. The fact that they were forced to stop will hopefully mean that their supply is at least not infinite. Either that or they may be attempting to strategize a new approach to accomplish whatever this has all been for." Frankie's current hypothesis was that the momentary break was likely only because of a combination of the new possibilities he had just raised. Whatever was behind all this was likely both recovering the mana they had spent summoning all of the snow creatures and was currently devising their next plan. The mad mage didn't care to find out whatever that next plan would be, but it wasn't as if they had much of a choice. They couldn't simply leave the town while it was currently under attack and given that this was in the Forsaken Region outside of the Black Bulls and Green Mantis it could take some time for reinforcements to arrive outside Spatial magic.
"The fact that it is capable of striking from such a distance is worrisome. So long as it has new ways to attack in its arsenal it has no motivation to engage in a more direct confrontation. Our best avenue would either be for us to agitate it enough that it disregards its plans and attacks us personally or in its rush to accomplish whatever it was seeking it abandoned any protracted attack." Frankie was merely throwing out potential theories. Ideas that they could perhaps build strategy on top of in order draw this fight into a conclusion. "The mysterious voice had seem aggravated when they had sent their snowmen to attack. It's possible with that failure it will grow more frustrated when it makes its next move. Defeating each may be our best bet in causing it to throw caution to the wind and stop sending minions to attack us." Although going through a gauntlet just so they could fight this mysterious individual wasn't ideal it seemed like sadly the likeliest solution. It also might be their best strategy. If with each victory they could flaunt their success it would only serve to further infuriate the mysterious attacker. Seeing as how they had known they had previously failed it was clearly observing them in some way so it wasn't far off to assume they were being watched even in that moment. The pair had been the ones who had hindered it both times so if this attacker could see the field it stood to reason it would be watching the two biggest obstructions to their success.
What Frankie was just as concerned about was who was this mysterious attacker and what were their goals? Understanding motive or the individual would help him devise a counterattack or were their efforts could make the greatest difference. Thus far all they had to go on was a voice and a clear desire to wreak havoc on the city of Aries Garse. However, was their intent that simple? Were they simply seeking destruction and chaos? Were their motives geared towards the city specifically, the Kingdom as a whole, or just a general desire to seek violence? The distinction would say a lot about the perpetrator and help Frankie figure out what the end game might be. For now this enemy seemed content to only target Aries Garse, but if their goals ran further then the city then it's possible they could abandon this place to attack somewhere else when it realized it wouldn't succeed while Frankie and Griswold were there. He simply didn't have enough data and sadly he wasn't likely to get more until this voice made their next move. [EXIT & CLOSE]
