[attr=class,mBEST]mana beasts
[attr=class,mbestINFO]
[attr="class","mbestCOL"]Mana beasts are a common occurrence; the manifestation and usage of mana made physical in our world, whether it be from natural occurrences or from an artificial source. These creatures can range from the common to the most legendary of mythological creatures. To be able to tame a Mana beast takes not only a strong will, but the land and financial backing to support the growth of such a beast.
[attr="class","mbestCOL"]As previously stated, some creatures may be as small as a common rabbit, but grow into a monstrous size that could contend with large creatures or even entire regions of people. Normally people will cower in fear when these creatures show up, but some instances have shown themselves where people may revere some creatures as types of deities. Now mages have sprung up with powerful wills and the strength to compete even with these monstrous existences and have taken them as a way to deter would-be assailants from their places of residence.

☘ Mana Beasts can only be gained through Moderated Events (Adventures, Site Events), the Black Market, and through trading between players.
[break]
[break]
☘ Mana beasts obtained via non moderated adventures or site events may be made by the user, moderated adventures/site events may allow a user to create their own mana beast but that will be at the discretion of the one hosting it. Black Market mana beasts will always be created by staff.
[break]
[break]
☘ Mana Beasts are ONLY for the defense of the Base/Estate/Hideout of choosing when acquiring the beast.
[break]
[break]
☘ Mana Beasts are made like Relics and are in conjunction with the user: purchasing/rolling the beast and using RNG to help figure the nature of which the beast will be.
[break]
[break]
☘ Roll 1d6 to find out if it is a single element or double element mana beast. Odd 1 element, even gives 2 elements. Then roll 1d5 to find out your tier. 1 - Copper, 2 - Bronze, 3 - Silver, 4 - Gold, 5 - Platinum. You're mana beast if it rolls a platinum can only have one platinum element.
[break]
[break]
☘ Mana Beasts can only be moved from Stable(s) 2 Times before they are permanently locked(Example: moving the beast from a squad to a personal estate).
[break]
[break]
☘ On ANY single character, they can only own 2 Mana Beasts. And all Mana Beasts must adhere to the limits of the stable. If a stable cannot accommodate a creature inside of it, then they will suffer a 25% penalty to ALL stats and be 1 Tier lower in physical power.
[break]
[break]
☘ Mana Beasts can grow like NPC’s harnessing a limited “spell pool” as well as stat growth.
[break]
[break]
☘ Mana beasts grow through the use of Word Count in dedicated social threads in the stables/bases/hideouts in which they are kept.
[break]
[break]
☘ If you are Max Stats and or a gm in charge of an Event or NPC you can donate half of your Word count (same as with donating the WC stats gained in these threads for those that GM)
[break]
[break]
☘ If the owner of a mana beast quits or dies then the mana beast connected to them no longer holds a loyalty to the family or squad they were stabled in and so leave to do their own thing. The exception to this is if the person passes the mana beast to someone else in their family or trades the mana beast to their squad. If it is past to the squad then the mana beast will always hold a bond to the captain and vice captain of said squad.

☘ Unlike normal NPC’s a Mana Beast grows as per the following;
[break]
[break]
☘ Juvenile: Freshly hatched or created Mana beast with little restraint or control over its power.
[break]
[break]
☘ Adolescent: A creature that has learned the basics of their power and has grown enough to become a threat to the common populace.
[break]
[break]
☘ Adult: An adult Mana Beast has learned how the world operates, who its master(s) are and how to control its own power well enough to truly defend its home.
[break]
[break]
☘ Elder: An elder Mana Beast is an existence that can contend with Archmage mages on an equal footing and is a regionally known creature that could bring fortune or ruin to the populace.
[break]
[break]
☘ Mana Beasts CANNOT be used in missions or in social threads outside of the base.
[break]
[break]
☘ When a Mana Beast falls in battle, it can be revived using high-grade magic.
[break]
[break]
☘ Mana Beasts can only be revived 3 times before they no longer respond to the magic.
[break]
[break]
☘ When a mana beast dies they go to the base stats of the tier they died in and must bond with their owner once more to get stronger.
[break]
[break]
☘ Mana beasts change their shape as they grow…an adult or elder creature (depending on race) may no longer be able to reside INSIDE a particular building or area.
