This day has gone better than he could have hoped for. Despite wearing colors that are outside of his standard attire, Cerberus is feeling pretty good about today. He was able to find one of his friends, meet some intriguing people, seen a variety of nobility and, sampled some local food of the region. Cerberus is beyond thankful for Sayuri for sticking around, and actually enjoying herself in his company. However, in this case, he feels rather put off with himself; being rather distracted he got careless and is now delightfully lost. He vaguely recalls what stand they were, when he felt every hair on his body stand on end. Sir Griswold had, had begun stalking the area causing another one of those, stirrings to afflict him. The path he was on had a few people walking along it, and thankfully Sir Griswold or Magnus was nowhere to be seen.

Cerberus has rooted out every disease or affliction, checked himself for any signs and despite all his finding he could not think of any reason why this would suddenly happen. Since that day he has trained against boys, girls, men and women, In combat, and have never felt this way before. Even with his teachings abroad, never once has anything remotely like this feeling try to appear. Although Cerberus’s Uncle Klaus and Aunt Killia did mention something about “being of age”

“*Who the hell knows where those two are now *”, groans Cerberus

He really should attempt to find Sayuir; not that she cannot take care of herself, but if Cerberus was being honest, it was his desire to see his siblings again. Though he loves all of his family, his sisters absolutely adore him. Sylla, Sophia even Ravana would love Sayuir; they’d finally have someone other than Family to talk to. A small smile drifts across his face as his gaze shifts as he walked, thoughts of home dance in his mind. Around this time of year, his Mother would be preparing for the Mid-Summer, Banquet, Gathering, and of course Cerberus’s birthday. Father would be in his study, seeing how business and investments are thriving, even checking in on our Family who are also abroad. Gamorah would be raising Hell, annoyed that she still can’t even beat Father, let alone approach Mother, and without Cerberus there she probably would make Mimmir fight her. He loves his brother dearly however, a little quality time with his “older” sister wouldn’t kill him…. immediately. Besides Ravana is there to patch him up; the twins probably spend the majority of their time hunting down some animal. Although Cerberus isn’t sure who he should feel sorry for, the knives they will break and blunt or the animal that will die of exhaustion before they actually put a blade in it.

A pang of sorrow briefly lingered in his heart only for him to snuff it out right there with a smile. Drawing in his surroundings he noticed that he was no longer on a path. Behind him were an old set of stairs that he has no memory of going down them. Facing him was a wide-open field, with rolling, lulling, fields of grass and white flowers dance in the subtle spring breeze. At the fields center was a tall lone Oaktree that has found purchase in this sea of green. The sweet aromas of food drifted lazily on the breeze creating a slight haze in the field; from his position Cerberus could see another set of stairs in the distance with the tell signs of people weaving in a crowd. Peering towards the tree Cerberus could make out what looked like children standing around something; briefly closing his eyes Cerberus couldn’t sense any noticeable strong from where he was but he could feel the faintest tingle of three sources of mana.

It was barely an evening stroll for Cerberus to get closer, and took barely any effort to gauge what was going on. There were six young children, barely the age of ten surrounding three smaller children; the affairs of the Mundane are something Cerberus does not care for however this instance is something he will not stand for.

“*Just this once *”, he thought

Reaching for the silk tie in his hair he pulls it free letting his hair fall, as he pocketed the accessory. Relief rushed him, as a deranged grin spread across his face; he was barely a foot away from the children when he rolled his shoulders. Gritting his teeth he let out a deep rumbling growl that he spent years working on with his friends to achieve; all six of them jumped and turned to face him. He allowed some of his Mana to escape, ripple off him causing grass and flowers alike to wither, and black until nothing remained with each step as he stalked towards them. His parents only needed to teach him one lesson in “Intimidation”, according to them there was nothing more that they needed to teach him.


“HOW DARE YOU!”, Cerberus roared

The six children whipped around, and all cowered in fear. Their eyes grew larger, and they began trembling.

“W-we we’re s-ssorry s-sir w”, stammered a child

At this distance Cerberus had a better look at the three who were cornered. To a Mundane these children would be considered “Monsters”, however to a Goetic like Cerberus they were absolutely adorable. One of the three looked like a normal little girl except she had a small pair of antlers sticking out of her hair, the smallest out of the three was injured but had pawed feet, and what looked like a foxes tail. And the biggest out of the three had a stick in attempts to defend them, but had a more badger like face, with small furred ears replacing more rounded or pointed ones.


“You have till the count of three”, he flexed his hands cracking his fingers letting his “Mana” lash at the ground around them. “ONE!”, he snarled.

It took everything Cerberus had not to lose it right there; the six practically tripped after themselves as they ran towards the direction of the other staircase. Reigning in his “Mana” he waited for another ten seconds before bursting into laughter. The three slowly started laughing as I tied my hair back and stepped closer and sat in front of them.

“Are you three alright?”, he asked

“Um, yes..-”, said the Antlered One

“You’re one of the descendants of Tir Na Nog”, the badgers face one said, in aw.

Pondering what they said, Cerberus felt his ears twitch as the revelation hit him

“Oh, you mean having Elven blood?”, he questioned, “Then yes”

The injured one slowly sat up, wincing at their left pawed foot. Instinctively Cerberus scooted closer tenderly holding the paw; being around wolves and his younger siblings he knows the telltale signs of a thorn bush.

“Stepped in a thorn or holly plant huh?”, he asked

The little one nodded their head almost on the verge of tears; looking around he saw several familiar plants nearby.

“I can help you”, he smiled then looked at the Antlered one. “Can you pick me some “Jewel Weed”?, it’s a small plant with wide oval leaves, and three orange little flowers on it.”

Glancing at the one gripping the stick for dear life, he placed a hand on their head.

“Keep a lookout for us, let me know if anyone comes closer, okay?”, he said with a smile

They explained to Cerberus that they are from “Tir Na Nog”, or as most the Mundane will say, “the fairy world”. According to them, that was their first time meeting “Humans”, and someone that isn’t a complete “Elf”. So Cerberus being the “big brother” he is, decided to show all that he could. Thankfully a healthy sprig was delivered to him rather quickly; this particular plant secretes an oil that is perfect for pain, as well as any irritation the plant may cause. The oil was just enough to cover the entirety of the young Fae's paw without any discomfort, however this one shouldn't be walking yet. Carrying the injured one on his back he held the Antlered-Ones hand while the Badger-One walked beside him.

Though the Fae do not age the same as Mortals they were still children to his eyes, and apparently in personality. He showed them the one thing that all beings that live and breathe need, “Food”. The aromas hit them like a storm, earning chuckles and grins from Cerberus; with him the Fae didn’t have any real problems when they passed a stand for children to have their faces painted. As they ate Cerberus told them of the world from his experience and knowledge, not leaving out any details. To Cerberus, Children even Fae Children need to know the “Truth” regardless of how bad it may be. Their World isn’t perfect, but at least they will never know the hardship that “Mortals” live in.
With an hours pass he guided the Children back to where he found them; they told him that they had to return home. It was a natural thing but it still panged Cerberus to hear; the lite breeze danced through the grass and up to the tree where it’s very leaves seemed to shine. The trunk of the tree shimmered, and a small flock of butterflies fluttered out; he felt the tug of their hands, causing him to kneel down.

“Thank you for being with us…um..”, said the Fox-tailed Fae

“Cerberus, my name is Cerberus”, he smiled

“We hope we can see you again”, the Antlered one said, before gasping. “You should come with us!”

“The Great Mathir, loves all of us, and you’re an Elfblood, so she would love you too”, agreed the badger-faced fae

That would be the “Dream”, of any Goetic; those who someday wish to be among the Gods once more instead of being trapped with the Mundane. The offer was tempting to leave everything he knows and be among the Gods…but-

“I’d want that…someday, but not now. I have my own Family that misses me, here….maybe we can all go together one day”, Cerberus, sighs smiling back at them.

A low sound drew their attention, before they turned and hugged Cerberus. Their hug was warm, and smelled of fresh flowers, and roasted meats; one by one they let him go before running into the tree. It’s shimmering faded, as the small flock fluttered back the way they came; Cerberus felt another pang of sorrow, and the soft drift of tears slowly spilled from his eyes.

“Blessed be the Gods, for granting me time with your Children”, he wept.

Wiping his tears he stood, breathing in sweet air; these tears were not meant to be filled with sadness, but of celebration. A joyous jubilation in the midst of a World that has forgotten itself, that though far the Gods are with him. Turning on his heels he strolls back in the direction of the steps, with renewed vigor, and hopes to find Sayuri again.
