Whether finding the remains of the Magic Knight in one of the recently dug graves or only encountering the spriggans, the group will learn that the culprit will not show itself during the day. As such, they need to wait for night to come, which they decide to do while remaining on the burial grounds themselves, as well as within the mausoleum. With the sun getting lower and lower, it will appear as though the shadows cast by the trees and the gravestones are beginning to move around, though never doing so when one looks straight at them. With the Spriggans gone, the group will now need to deal with a very different kind of threat.

Capable of moving from shadow to shadow, they are very fast and can be difficult to take down as their very presence and touch will chill to the core. Using the shadows to strengthen themselves and inflict greater harm upon their foes, they are not to be underedimated. [break]Additional Information: The Haunt is a kind of spirit belonging to a person or animal that was killed and twisted by something truly evil. Not fully dead and not being alive, these creatures are made up entirely of shadows, making them virtually powerless in natural light, yet still needing light so they can form, being stuck in a state of limbo for all but a few hours of the day, which makes them incredibly angry and violent towards just about anyone they encounter.
Were it at all possible, Griswold would have very much liked it if he could be on his way back to the region that needed him, as well as prepare for the impending battle against the next Archdemon. Even thinking that last part seemed weird to him, getting to take on a second Archdemon after surviving the entire ordeal against the first. Aamon had been a very taxing fight, one in which he was quite certain they had lost Charles, a fellow black bull that had been striving to become a vice captain just like him. In a way, it was the closest thing he had to a rival, even though it was only a rivalry over who would become vice captain first. When Aamon had died and the shade of Hamel had been sent back to the underworld, they had all been taken into another portion of the battle tower with some sort of a teleportation spell.
When they arrived in that part, Ardere and Cyrus were there along with him, as well as the ghastly visage of the elven woman that had aided in their victory. Since Charles had passed out in the final moments of the battle and hadn’t been taken into the same room they had, Griswold had very much come to the concluded that he had in fact died when the tower collapsed. If anything, this had been one of the reasons why he had been pushing himself a lot harder to become stronger than he had been at the time. And while he had done just that, elevating himself to the same rough level of strength as Ardere, who had been the leader of their party at the time, Griswold still did not feel ready. After all, in their past fight against an Archdemon, having two of the strongest mages in the country and the Salamander itself on their side had not been enough to claim victory.
While Aamon had been a physical powerhouse that had managed to break his most powerful weapon at that time with a single blow, Asmodeus was a whole different case entirely. Since most of the information regarding him and the event he had caused had been kept secret, he had come to learn that it was during this event that his home ‘town’ and everyone he knew living inside of it had been erased because of it. As one might imagine, it was the kind of thing Griswold personally wished to see to when it came to the revenge department, hoping that it would quell some of the rage inside of him. But if he was to be true to himself, he knew better than to believe that something that had been rooted so deep inside of him would go away just by killing the thing that caused it, as it would not bring any of the people he had lost back. It wouldn’t bring his old life back.
All he could really do was make the best out of this life, and right now, that came in the form of protecting a graveyard where a lot of snooty nobles had been buried. Normally not being the kind to come after this kind of thing as he had no intention of aiding the Silva family, the fact that another knight had gotten lost changed his thoughts on the matter a bit. More than that, the idea that servants might be in trouble because of whatever it was that roamed here meant that he needed to act, as the Silva cared little for the lives of commoners and peasants. And now that they had come to find out that the things that were skulking around the graveyards were far from human, it made it that much more pressing that they figure out what was going on around here. The Spriggan they had killed for instance appeared sickly, warped, as if something had caused them to wither and act in a way that seemed contradictory to their very nature.
And since they had found no trace as to the missing magic knight, it seemed like a good idea to spread out and begin searching in a more wide spread manner. Not quite sure as to whether they two would mind splitting up, Griswold was not against moving on his own for a bit, as it was more or less what he had grown accustomed to over the past years. Besides, if he could not beat whatever this graveyard had to offer, there was no way he was going to be capable of going up against Asmodeus, a demon said to be the one and only mage capable of utilizing Time magic. And while he could ponder on the very nature of that magic for hours and still not come any closer to figuring out how it worked, he turned his attention towards the other two mages and the majordomo.
“Given the size of this place, we should considering splitting up and covering more ground. You should stick together and start moving towards the mausoleum, I’ll start combing out the rest of the graveyard.”

[attr="class","temppost"] Having made their way to the burial grounds, Magnus had a multitude of thoughts that he pondered floating around the forefront of his mind. He was no sensory mage, but Griswold's magic was different, though some of it still looked like the dazzling cosmic magic he had seen before, the way it interacted with the creatures wasn't the burning supernova of cosmic energy he had seen before. No instead, Griswold's magic looked more akin to wind, or some form of crushing pressure from what he could see. Just what in the world had happened to the man?
Magnus knew the world was filled with strange things, his adventures lately had taught him that well enough, from running into Imps, yeti's, fae, leshy, creatures he didn't even know existed, Magnus had slowly but surely had gone into the realm of trying not to understand everything he came across as phenomena of the world seemed to ebb and flow around him constantly changing with every passing day. He'll even he himself had gone through a transformative experience of becoming a member of the dwarven race for a while. Something that in turn ended up changing his body, healing it, and helping him regulate the flow of his mana better, as well as repairing the damage to his mana channels throughout his body. Years of damage done from the curse he had taken on from his late daughter in an effort to give her a bit more time to life had been fixed as if it was never broken, and since then he felt himself reaching a steady growth.
Because of his temporary transformation, Magnus could feel himself growing at a rapid pace, and he knew that it was only a matter of time now before he reached a new level of strength, as he could feel his magic building, pushing up against a wall it was trying to breakthrough with every passing second. He was sure that soon enough with nothing more than a little push that he'd be able to experience a new breakthrough.
However, he couldn't help but feel a little guilt. His daughter had already lost her life because of the after-effects of the curse that was placed on him, and here he was, having found some random cure to the after-effects of the curse, not on purpose, but purely by accident from eating a piece of random candy no less. The very thought enraged him making him wish it had come sooner, but he knew there was nothing he could do to accomplish such a thing. Doubting even something like time magic could bring her back, but perhaps something in this world, some strange phenomenon would one day return her to him...
Shaking his head clear of the thoughts, Magnus listened to what Griswold had stated, he nodded at his fellow magic knight, thinking that the idea was a sound one. "Mausoleum it is, though I know you are more than capable, we still don't know what's going on here, so please do be careful Griswold," Magnus said sincerely. The world was strange and though Magnus found it hard-pressed that they would come upon anything that could even so much as harm Griswold let alone sneak up on him, he felt the need to say the words nonetheless. After all, one never knew what could happen on these missions. It was because of this that as he walked toward the mausoleum presumably with Victoria in tow, Magnus had grabbed his magical paintbrush wands from the front pouch of his grimoire satchel and placed them between the gaps of his fingers.
Sparring a glance in Victoria's direction Magnus stated "we should keep our guard up, we don't know if more of those creatures from earlier will pop up..." Magnus's mind flashed back to that moment, reminding him that at some point he would need to ask Griswold about the new magic he had displayed.

Each Squad has a different color Mantle along with their own squad logo as well. Magic Knights of the Clover Kingdom has worn these Mantles for hundreds of years. Abilities:
Rank & Element: Junior | Paint Class & Type: Imbued | Magic Trinket Magic Specializations: Golem Creation Appearance & Lore: Click For Image A Magical Ornate Paint Brush Set that comes with five 4-inch Paint Brushes in total all with different widths and styled bristles. The paintbrushes are ornate in design, with swirls of small patterns and silver in color. They have purple bristles that fade into white at their tips. Nothing is too special about these paintbrushes on their own except they are sturdy and have no need for a palette as they are capable of producing any color of paint on their own with a small infusion of mana. These paintbrushes were a gift to Magnus from his mother when he was younger and as such he cherishes them dearly but also uses them for his magic. However, as they are a magical set, they all share the same durability, thus if his weapon was to break even if it was just one paint brush due to an attack capable of destroying a junior rank weapon all of them would break. Outside of the fact that they can release paint, these weapons are nothing more than blunt objects. As such, they cannot be used to stab or pierce without the usage of a spell or its ability. Abilities:

He uses shades of white, gray, pinks, greens, and yellows to create the shape of a humanoid body, specifically a woman with long hair. The paint flows to life, taking greater depth and shape from the image, revealing a portrait of a young woman with dark gray to green hair, pink mystical eyes, a gray dress, and glowing pink and yellow flowers blossoming from her. The golem has a sheen to its skin like wet paint. The golem is a Scout type and as such is built for speed, flight, and sensory.
A masterfully crafted two-inch long white gold pin in the shape of a paintbrush in the middle of the handle lays a very rare unique sapphire blue moonstone.
At the origins of house Aurelius being recognized as nobles a set of eight unique pins were made, each pin was designed with a specific artistic or scholarly pursuit in mind and each having a differing type or rare gem or variant of a semi-precious gem inlaid on it somewhere. One was then given to each elder of the house.
The way they decided who would wear which pin was dependent on the pursuit that aligned with each pin. This meant the elder who found beauty in the craft of calligraphy would be given the pin which had the scroll and quill whereas the elder who found beauty in gardening would wear the pin-shaped like a rose in full bloom.
As an elder retired they would pass the pin to their successor. Who would then take on the responsibilities of every elder that wore the pin before them? It is believed that every elder on their final day of wearing the pin puts a slither of their mana into it so they might be able to guide those that come after them. Some elders have said they have felt the presence of their ancestors from the pin, especially during times of great turmoil or stress.
They've said as they become more attuned with their craft and the understanding of their duties the pin has given them a strength they didn't know they otherwise possessed. It is because of this these pins are seen as more than just a status symbol but something to be proud of and protected so that the future of the family can continue in its pursuit to serve those that would require their services.

Victoria wandered the burial grounds, electing to look to see if there were any more clues that could be uncovered. The Silver Eagle knight was still missing and she was leaning more towards the reality that he might be found dead rather than alive at this point. The wraith user would have preferred to have found him alive so that they would have someone with a first-hand account of what happened and could help spread rumors of their prowess. Granted those spriggans hadn't been much of a challenge; especially not to a warrior of Griswold's caliber but the Blue Rose knight was sure that they were just the tip of the iceberg as far as creatures they'd be dealing with. After all, she found it hard to believe that those spriggans had been enough of a threat to defeat a single magic knight, especially not one from the Silver Eagles. As much as their general attitude rubbed her the wrong way, one thing that Victoria couldn't fault the squad for had weak knights. All of them were competent and had seen a few battles and for the Silvas to send a single one to investigate the strange reports that had been coming out of here spoke of their skills. "Though that just leaves the mystery of where his body is. Perhaps it's in one of those newly dug graves.
It wasn't long after she came back that Griswold would elect to head off on his own, stating that it would be better if they split up in order to cover more ground. The plant user found herself agreeing with his assessment, even his plan to go off on his own. Griswold was powerful, far more powerful than either Victoria and Magnus combined and if he ended up begin killed or defeated by the mysterious creatures in these burial grounds then the two of them stood no chance against whatever managed to fell him. "I'll heed your words, Griswold though much like Magnus I would like to caution you to remain safe and vigilant. We already have one magic knight that we have to locate and we shouldn't have to add another to that list." All it would take was one lucky shot to defeat any of them but Victoria didn't think she'd have to worry much about Griswold. From what she had managed to pick up from him information-wise, painted the picture of someone with good senses and situational awareness so she doubted that he would be the one who would be getting snuck up on. If that did happen to occur, then there were far greater concerns to be had.
She followed behind Magnus, nodding at his suggestion of being vigilant. She didn't want to embarrass herself by being caught unaware after having given that warning to Griswold. She could afford to disgrace herself like that after all. "It's likely that if there were any of those creatures left then they'd most likely been frightened off by Griswold's display though that can just mean that they take us for the easy target. Regardless, I'll be sure to keep my eyes peeled for any signs of movement." she said as her eyes swiveled around her, checking for any signs of movement as the pair neared the mausoleum.

A young noble is said to have insulted the fairy queen by starting to burn a field of rare flowers favoured by her people. They managed to defend most of them from being burned with the use of an ancient talisman that gave them the power to do so.
That changed nothing however as some of the flowers still had fairy children sleeping within them, vengence was saught, there was nothing that the man had that the fairies wanted. They were a people of nature, even if they weren't no amount of wealth or bartering would bring back those they lost.
The young noble was given a simple task, hold onto the amulet in his hand for one month and be within the heart of the forest; if the forest forgave his actions so would they. He done what was requested but little by little he was becoming weaker as the item sapped his mana from him until he finally perished. The fairy queen regained the item soon after with the simple words "Respect nature, as much it gives it can take away."

Nodding at the notion of being careful, Griswold began moving away from the two as they began making their way towards the mausoleum. Part of the reason why he had figured it would be a better idea for the both of them to go there was because two of them could cover more ground than a single person, at least when being thorough about their research. It was no secret that he could go through the place quite fast, though two people who had some idea as to what to look for were better than one. And so, by sending them towards the building, he was left to deal with the overall graveyard area on his own. Given how they had already checked out a portion of it where they had been attacked by the sickly Spriggan after he had already done a stroll in his own time before the two had arrived, the area he needed to go through was clear.
Even though he would cut through part of the area he had already searched, just in case whatever looming threat that hid here was skipping about, Griswold did not encounter anything in that part. Cursing a bit under his breath as he would rather not venture too far from the mausoleum in case his help was needed there, he had no choice but to check this region out with some pace to his step. Moving somewhat faster than normal, he began feeling something odd, though it disappeared before he could really try to pin it. Aside from finding it odd, he decided not to think too much of it for now, as there was something interesting coming up. Likely belonging to people who had plenty of money but were not considered high enough on the totem-pole and therefore not having a spot in the mausoleum, there were a bunch of personal tombs. Small buildings where a single casket was fit in, surrounded by candles and locked off by an iron gate.
Due to the nature of the iron gate, Griswold could tell that the gate was not so much to keep out any looters, but rather to keep anything evil from wandering in or out. For the longest time, it had been believed by people that some evil entities could be warded off by iron, as they would burn at the very touch of it. And while it was true that using iron against something might kill it, the same might be said about people. After all, if he drove an iron rod through someone else’s heart, they would not survive. Just as he was pondering on the matter of the iron, he picked up on something again. This time however, it lingered just long enough for him to truly be able to tell that there was something there, and it wasn’t just something he had imagined. Something dark moving around at his feet like smoke, yet disappeared into the shadows very quickly. Narrowing his eyes, he followed the black smoke until it moved around the back of the tomb.
Due to the size of the small, personal tombs obscuring his sight as something was clearly moving in the shadows cast by the low sun, Griswold kept his sword in its sheath for the moment, instead focusing on his own senses as a means of location what it was that was hiding. Attuning his mana-bound senses and his Ki, he felt like a bat using an echo in order to locate prey, especially once his magical sight had locked on several threats. Though it seemed as though they moved in and out of this world, now that he had found them and knew what their presence felt like, he picked them back up as soon as they reappeared. One thing however was certain, these dark entities belonged here about as much as urine in a pitcher of ale. Staring into their direction, it was only a matter of time before these beings realized that the time for skulking had come to an end and that they had been found out.
Appearing as black creatures that seemed like they were a mixture of shadows and pitch black smoke, these particular ones maintained a humanoid shape most of the time. However, every couple of seconds, it was as if their shape broke apart and became ethereal, incorporeal, before reconstituting for the most part. At first, it was hard to tell whether or not these things were truly violent, until some impulse seemed to suddenly steer them towards attacking him. Lashing out with their ghastly limbs, Griswold retaliated by striking at it, causing the ghastly arm to dissipate as his fist went through it all the way to the torso. Apparently, what damage he could dish out with his fists was enough to take these things out as the entire being simply disappeared. Clearly unphased by one of their own being beaten and sent back to the void, the others came at him in tandem.
With a couple of well placed punched and a single kick, the shadowy creatures were dispersed, leaving nothing but a strange black goo on his limbs and on the floor where their forms had broken. Washing the stuff off of his hands with his cloak, which had more or less become a rag to use for cleaning blood off of his sword or other stuff off of his hands, it was not uncommon to find him with the exterior of his cloak being covered in grime. As he looked at the black mass on the floor, he just nudged it with the toe of his boot, finding that these creatures were not rising up again, meaning they had likely been beaten entirely. However, one thing he found out as he looked down was that there was another grave dug here, and it had not been here all that long. Filled up with just a thin layer of soil, almost as if whomever was filling it up was in a rush, it was clear that there was somebody in there.
Hopping down into the hole without a care, he realized that given the kind of beings they fought, that this thing being a zombie or a ghoul of some kind was not all that out there. Still, as he landed at the bottom of the hole, the body did not move. Beginning to drag the body up from the soil, it appeared as though this was the guy they had been looking for, the magic knight that had come to investigate this place only to go missing. Lifting the body up and very unceremoniously tossing it out of the grave and onto the ground beside it, Griswold then proceeded to lift himself out before placing the corpse on its back. Putting the clothing on his torso aside so that he could get a better look at the inflicted wounds, it was clear that a bladed weapon had gone straight through his chest. Being a killing wound in and of itself, there was one far more gruesome wound that had put the man to his death, one located at his neck.
From the look of it, it was as if some kind of extremely dull cleaver or axe had been slammed right into his neck, utterly destroying the man’s spine and killing him instantly after being stabbed through the torso and perforating his lung. Feeling like he had seen enough, Griswold rose back to his feet as he brought his hand to his chin, which was something he unknowingly did a lot whenever he was pondering on something deeply enough. Given the nature of the creatures he had just fought, as well as the spriggan that came before them, it was clear to see that there was something going on here that was greater than those that had already come. Something had to be behind these creatures being here, as most monsters or creatures he knew did not go walking around with a sword and cleaver, as those were very much human weapons. Regardless of whether this was something intelligent or even human was not something he could rule out right now.
Since it had gone about digging a grave to put the body away in after killing the knight in a very brutal yet effective manner, there was no ruling out that this was indeed a human being just like the three of them. Speaking of the three of them, the only thing he could really do right now was to swing the corpse over his shoulder and begin making his way back to where he had sent Magnus and Victoria. If they needed his help, he might be able to provide some. If they didn’t, he’d arrive to see a bunch of black goo in their general area with them relatively unscathed. One way or the other, they needed to know about what he had found out so far.

[attr="class","temppost"] "Well said Victoria, well, should we get moving?" Magnus said, as he began to walk in front of Victoria, he knew the young girl was capable of handling herself in situations, especially because of her skills with using golems and restraining magic, though as things stood Magnus considered himself a gentleman, and he was rather protective of the young girl, not just because he had a fondness for plat users, or because in ways she reminded him of his daughter, but because she was his fellow magic knight. He considered Victoria a friend, almost family even, for that is what it meant for him to enter the Blue Rose, it wasn't just a mere commitment or service, it was entering a new family. One in which he was extremely overprotective in defending.
Magnus nodded at Victoria's words to Griswold, though they were all splitting up, Magnus knew that if any serious threats should happen that Griswold was around in the worst-case scenario. However, he didn't view this in the sense of the man being a proverbial safety net, the fact of the matter was that Magnus had now been in enough situations where he felt he had a handle on the situations at large.
Although oftentimes it was because his magic had leaped to new heights and bounds as he found himself in dangerous situations. His paint magic was only fueled by his imagination, and it was one of the things that made the magic as versatile as it was. It was for the fact, that the user only needs to be inspired and make art for one to create new spells.
Magnus found himself recently using his adventures as new forms of inspiration, using his travels and missions to make himself stronger through experience, but he knew he couldn't rely simply on his spurs of inspiration forever. He knew that soon he would have to break through the wall that he had reached if he would continue being useful to the magic knights, to Griswold. Magnus felt that every time he had come across a mission with Griswold that he had been consistently increasing his own abilities, perhaps it was simply the level of danger, or perhaps it was the fact that the work he was doing was so dangerous that it forced him to improve himself. A trial by fire as some might put it.
Magnus knew that Griswold wouldn't have left a task to them he thought them incapable of, and for Magnus, he was intent on living up to the more experienced knights' expectations of him and Victoria. After all, much like himself, Victoria had also been progressing at a steady rate. Magnus wasn't sure if it was because as magic knights they were forced to use their magic more, or perhaps it was simply the need for necessity, but even Victoria seemed to be improving when it came to her magics strength and skills in battle.
Fantelo manifested himself from Magnus's grimoire, placing himself on Magnus's shoulder with a soft purr. Magnus scratched the small feline spirit's jaw, as he walked, occasionally moving his head from the left to the right in an attempt to keep a vigilant eye out for things. Magnus had no extrasensory skills, in fact, he knew his magic sensing itself was practically non-existent besides being able to feel for his own. It was for that reason that Magnus didn't initially notice the strange sense of mana, nor anything more besides an uneasy feeling, perhaps the feeling was just instinct, or perhaps it was simply fear and the fact that they were in a graveyard where supernatural creatures had already appeared in, but either way, Magnus was glad for the nerves that brushed through his body.
The hair on Fantelo's body began to rise slightly as the young spirit let loose a hiss here and there as they walked. Though when Magnus looked around he saw nothing, everything looked normal to him as the sun was setting, though he couldn't deny the sight of the graveyard, the place looked pristine, which he wasn't surprised by considering the fact that it was in the noble region, but what stood out to him was the fact that it was so quiet, as Magnus looked around he hadn't seen a single worker, nor any new graves. Though he figured perhaps Griswold had more sightings of such himself where he went. Regardless, the place was quiet and eerily as the sun continued to fall, resulting in a sky of red and purple hues.
The night was increasingly approaching as the red seemed to move further and further from them. Soon it would be night, and Magnus was dreading being here after dark. The place made his skin crawl, and his nerves were on edge even more than usual. He, however, did not let such show. He wasn't fond of places like graveyards, at his age, he had seen his fair share of funerals, including his parents and his daughters. At this point being in graveyards left a bad taste in his mouth. That said, Magnus was a professional at keeping himself calm and composed.
Magnus turned his gaze slightly to Victoria as she spoke, though his eyebrows creased in confusion as he was sure that just before his gaze had come to rest on Victoria, the shadow of the tree closest to her had moved, from what Magnus could see it was almost as if the shadow of the tree was wiggling, slithering almost like that of a serpent. He simply wiped his eye as he continued to move further. perhaps this was just a simple trick of the light or pollen that had gotten into his eyes. Magnus also considered the fact that it could simply just be old age. Nonetheless, his body seemed to move on its own as his hand reached down to his grimoires satchel, further grabbing his paintbrushes from the small pocket that rested on it. Weaving the paintbrush wands in between the gaps of his fingers, no doubt a sign that he was preparing for the worst-case scenario, in the case in which they'd have to use spells.
He was sure as he did such that Victoria would've taken notice of his actions and mentally prepared and readied herself. "Agreed, though something feels off about this place, and my time with Griswold has taught me that situations like this never just end so simply, and usually when there's one type of creature there's another, or a person behind it controlling the scenes. At least that's been the trend so far." Magnus said with a sly smile, even though he felt his nerves a little on edge, he found that situations like this simply happened to him at times, it was best to roll with the situation but it was never best to assume the issue was finished until one knew all of the information at hand.
After all, neither he nor Victoria had yet to see an open grave, or any sign of that other magic knights as they came upon their destination: The mausoleum.
Magnus moved further in front of Victoria, over toward where one would see large stone double doors. It took a bit of effort, but by digging his heels into the ground the doors soon began to part. Magnus no doubt figured that these doors were usually opened by 2 to 3 people on average, not just one alone. Regardless, he didn't have his bulk of muscles for just show, and with nothing less than a single grunt the door began to push open and part, the influx of fresh air, brought with it a chilling breeze from behind that tickled Magnus's skin, alongside picking up the dirt and ground on the stone floors below, cascading it into clouds of dust that littered the inside of the mausoleum.
Magnus smacked his hands together to rid it of the dirt and grime it had touched. He wouldn't dare allow his hands to stay covered in the moss and dirt that littered the stone doors walls. In fact, after he had opened the doors it was only due to the seriousness of the mission at hand as to why he didn't immediately grab a handkerchief to meticulously clean his fingers.
Making his way inside Magnus found himself bringing up one of his sleeves to cover his nose and mouth as he pushed forward, the dust slowly subsiding. A dark smoky wisp could be seen blending in with the dust smoke, though Magnus couldn't tell if it was truly something there, as within moments it was gone. "Maybe it was just a rat or a trick of the light," Magnus thought.
Magnus glanced around quickly to try and get his bearing as he walked inside with careful patience. Though after the dust died down the mausoleum looked relatively empty. "Well so far, I don't see anything out of the ordinary. Though I'm no graveyard worker so perhaps there might be something out of the ordinary here. Regardless, we can give it a thorough check and then be on our way if we find nothing out of place." Magnus said as he began to look around the stone structure.
As he looked he noticed he found nothing but what seemed to be dust and clothed skeletons. As they walked in further on all sides there seemed to be the occasional coffin, and altar with candles atop that looked like they hadn't been used for quite some years now. Magnus began to speak as he moved back toward Victoria, "I don't believe I've found anything perhaps we should move to meet back up with Gri-" Magnus was cut off by the sight of a dark shadow slithering from one coffin to the next, as he walked, he had only caught it from the side of his vision but this sure he was sure something else was here with him and Victoria.
Though what settled his doubts for sure was the fact that Fantelo had leaped to his right shoulder. He hissed and stood on his hind legs as his eyes locked onto the shadow with a fierce growl. Magnus moved to beside Victoria, a few footsteps in front of her, that way he left her a line of sight while being able to defend herself if anything came at them. Magnus stared at the shadow with fierce determination. "Come out, there's no use hiding now," Magnus said aloud, though to what he had no idea.
Then as seconds passed and he began to believe that perhaps it was just nerves, the shadows from the coffins began to writhe and slither. Darkness came off their body in the shape of smoke, and parts of their bodies looked more solid as these dark creatures took physical form, Magnus had noticed that they were almost like that Captain Zaven's golems. There were 8 in total. Though he was sure with the way these creatures were giving off a sinister feel, they weren't the same. No these were creatures born of the darkness, of death itself. Magnus had nothing more than his gut feeling to go off on, and as the creatures inched closer, the first five to lunge out would be quickly blocked off as Magnus willed mana to the tip of his paintbrush. "Paint magic..." he thought.
He began to paint quickly and with ease, waving his arms around almost as if he was conducting a symphony, "World Canvas" Magnus said, willing the mana in his paint outward, expanding and molding the image into his spell waving his hands back and forth three times. He created layers of blue, white, gray, and silver, quickly but surely putting together a drawing that resembled that of a peaceful cloudy landscape. He and Victoria were in the center of the wave of clouds itself, the cloud paintings were made with pigments that emulate the look of the mist and water element. They bellowed outward the bright light of white and blue spell mixed with the glow of his silvery-blue mana. "Blue Period," were the last words he said before the spell began to fade.
The haunts that had appeared were wiped away in an instant as his spell faded, leaving only 3 left that had moved further back at the sight of Magnus's spell. He had only allowed the spell to go but so far, to keep from destroying the building itself.

He creates layers of blue, white, gray, and silver, quickly but surely putting together a drawing that resembles that of a peaceful cloudy landscape. Breathing life into the painting with his mana it bellows outward. It can either be cast around him or on an ally directly. Abilities:
Type & Uses: Flow | 3 Active, 2 Overheat Rank & Specialization: Junior | Golem Creation Size: 1 meter Mana Cost: 8 Per Flow | 4 Upkeep Type of Golem: Scout Description: Click for Image of Golem Magnus channels his paint magic into the movement of the paintbrushes amplifying the paint into a large amount from the tip of the brushes.

The black market has some strange people working for it and they had managed to find a few rare charms that were abandoned in some ruins within the Aristaeus’ Basin. What it actually did wasn't known until recently and by accident at that but it seems like it comes in handy as a mode of transportation with all the comforts of home.
This item can be given two additional abilities and can be upgraded even if you don't have the elements this will be charged at double the cost unless you have both elements that the charm has then it will be standard cost.

Unlike most abilities as this is a base, only the sustain cost will ever be charged from the moment of its creation. Although spells of this rank can go as far as 40m the charm holder can go no further than 10m from the carriage or it will return back to its charm form. The carriage is able to move at 15 m/s at this rank.
When opening the door of the carriage it seems like it's filled with liquid but going through it takes a person to what would seem like a lavish room that is warm and filled with delicious foods and drinks so that they may enjoy the comforts of home even when on the road.

[attr="class","temppost"] Victoria was glad to see that Griswold had taken her words seriously and not simply dismissed her concerns. She didn't expect him to do so from what she had managed to gather regarding his personality but it was good to know that she hadn't been mistaken in her character profile of him. With that done, the trio went their separate ways with Victoria and Magnus heading towards the mausoleum with Magnus taking point. She had no issue with him doing so as it was a natural part of his personality to do so. Magnus was the type of man to use his own body as a shield to protect those both under his care as well as those in trouble and that was something that worked with Victoria's own style of fighting. She was a backline fighter, shelling out spells that weakened her opponents or restricted their movements so that she could finish them off with the most minimal amount of time and effort. With her only manner of attack being her golems, she had to be careful to never draw the attention of enemies until it was far too late for them to be able to do anything to her by that point. "I hope Bacchus is willing to be a shield as well. Given his build and magic, I assume that's the case but I should probably ask him once this mission is over." she mused as she followed behind Magnus' massive frame.
As she walked, Victoria made sure to keep her eyes and senses open in case of another attack were to happen. The sun was setting and it would soon be nightfall which would make it harder for them to spot any sort of clues and Victoria would prefer to complete this mission within the day rather than having to come back tomorrow and do more searching. With Griswold gone, the two Blue Rose members wouldn't be taking out any foes with the speed that he had demonstrated which would lead to more opportunities for them to get injured during combat. "Perhaps I should also look into learning some form of healing magic. It would definitely prove to be useful if I could apply it to my golems, both the regular and special kind." she considered before movement out of the corner of her eye quickly drew her attention to the shadow of a nearby tree. She stared at the shadow for a second, not seeing anything out of the ordinary, before she continued on with her walk. She wasn't sure if she was hallucinating by chance or perhaps a bit paranoid but she was sure that she had seen something move in the shadows. She knew that she wasn't the best at sensory magic but her instincts were telling her that they were no longer alone and something was now stalking them just out of sight. "Some form of shadow creature perhaps? If those even exist."
One would have assumed that perhaps she was creeped out by having to spend time in a burial grounds due to her noble upbringing but this was the exact opposite for the young heir. She was sure that it had something to do with her wraith magic but growing up, Victoria had always found herself fascinated by death as well as dead bodies. This showed as her very first spell had been her reanimating the corpses of a family of bears that had been slain by some hunters and left the rot out in the forest. From there, she had only experimented more with what she could do, learning that the state of the bodies affected whether or not she could reanimate them. If they were too injured or even torn apart; much like the sickly spriggans that they had encountered a few hours ago, then her spell would merely fail, not that she would have wanted to have torn in half bodies near her. She still had some standards of beauty to maintain after all and that gory bodies weren't one that fit her criteria. It was why when she encountered a person that she wished to turn into a wraith, she made sure to try to do as little damage to their body as possible before they were killed. "I should probably look into finding some unique bodies as well. It'll be good to have some variety"
The appearance of Fantelo pulled Victoria from her musings before she watched the spirit's interaction with her squad member. There were times when she was curious to know what it would be like to be partnered with a spirit. If by chance she managed to find a plant or wraith spirit, what it would end up looking like. There was also the spirit dive that she had heard about users being able to do, merging with their spirits to unlock new abilities and strengths. That would just have to remain a fantasy though as due to her being blessed by mana, it made her incompatible to obtain a spirit. Her four-leaf clover grimoire was something that she wouldn't change no matter what. While a spirit would be interesting to have, the fact that she was able to collect golems with various different magic affinities was something that would be more beneficial to her in the long run. "While a spirit would be a great ally and conversation partner, wraiths make me my own one-woman army." she mused before Fantelo's hissing made her look in the shadows again. She didn't notice anything this time either but she was more inclined to trust Fantelo's senses, especially as it validates her own feelings about them no longer being alone.
She decided to start some conversation with Magnus, gathering her mana in case she needed to quickly fire a spell as the darkness of the night moved to engulf them in its grasp. "I agree that that's most likely the case though I feel that all we can do for right now is spring their trap." the wraith user said, a distasteful look on her face at the thought. "I'm sure between the pair of us, we should be able to at least handle any creatures that come our way. I'm sure if we do encounter anything too difficult, we would be able to hold out long enough for Griswold to come investigating as well." she said though it would be clear that she would prefer for that latter scenario to not happen. This was her chance to prove herself as a capable magic knight in a high-ranking mission and she couldn't do that if she allowed Griswold or even Magnus to take center stage while she was merely regulated to the background like some damsel or side character in a book. She had been growing in leaps and bounds over the past few months and now was the time for her to show the fruits of her labor. She would show that she was just as capable as anyone else.
The pair soon arrived at the mausoleum as Magnus opened the large stone doors that would have taken 2-3 average size men to open. "I often forget just how strong you are physically Magnus until moments like this" she said with a smirk as she patted his biceps as she followed behind him. She removed a handkerchief from her pocket, fashioning it around her nose and mouth as a makeshift mask for the dust that littered the inside of the mausoleum. It was...interesting as far as designs go. A bit more sinister than she would have thought the Silvas were comfortable with but that wasn't what she should be focusing on right now. "I agree. Nothing seems to have been disturbed here in a while given the amount of dust around here." she stated, noticing that there were no footprints or signs that anyone had been in here in a while. "Clearly the grave workers have been neglecting to take care of this tomb. Sloppy work and shame on the Silvas for allowing their ancestors' graves to be treated in such a manner. They should be appalled, especially since not one of them even came and bothered to investigate things after one of their squad members ended up disappearing." she thought, wondering just what their captain was thinking.
She was pulled from her musings as she noticed the shadow moving from one coffin to the next, something that both Fantelo and Magnus noticed as well as the giant came to stand in front of her at an angle. "Well nice to know that I wasn't seeing things," she muttered under her breath as she gathered her mana, ready to strike at a moment's notice. She didn't have to wait long as 8 shadows rose up from the shadows of the coffins, their bodies appearing smokelike and made from the shadows themselves. "Such strange creatures," she thought as she watched Magnus defeat 5 of them easily before moving into action herself. Pointing her left index finger at the targets, Victoria was surprised to notice 3 seeds shooting out from her finger, quickly wrapping around the 3 shadow creatures and restraining their movements. She blinked before quickly moving to her next spell, flipping her hair back as three of her flytrap golems appeared and began attacking the shadow creatures, biting and ripping into them. "I know my control over my mana has gotten stronger but I didn't expect it to increase by such a degree. I barely put any effort behind those spells but I've already surpassed my limits from a few weeks ago not to mention I can barely feel the drain on my reserves. she thought as she watched the 3 creatures die.
Elemental Type: Plant Rank & Spell Type: Intermediate | Restraint | Hex & Curse Range & Speed: 40m | 25 m/s Mana Cost: 20 | 10 Stats Effected: 25% Intermediate rank endurance debuff | -50% spell usage | -2 m/s to speed | -1 to all trainable stats Applicable Perks: Burden of the Prisoner | Sinister Magic Description: Victoria calls out the name of her spell while pointing with her left index finger causing a seed 2 inches in diameter to shoot out and lands on the target’s body where it sprouts into a nightshade plant about 2 meters in length and 7 inches in diameter that wraps around the target. The poison that this plant produces causes muscle fatigue, weakening their physical attacks. Intermediate rank damage is required to break free from the restraint. Due to burden of the prisoner, the target's speed and trainable stats get debuffed which takes place after the restraint has landed. Provided that this spell wins the clashing rules, it is capable of weakening buffs and heals or even turning them into debuffs or damage. Following the ammo rules, Victoria can create a number of additional vines based on her control stat to launch at a target.
Spell Element: Plant Spell Rank: Intermediate Mana Cost: 20 | 10 Type of Golem: Predator Applicable Perks: Self-Improving Golem Description: Victoria flips her hair back over her left shoulder with a jerk of her head while channeling her mana, causing a Venus flytrap/Pterodactyl hybrid creature about 4 meters in length to rise out of the ground in front of her. The golem can scratch, claw or bite at any target of Victoria’s choosing, serving as a frontline fighter for her dealing intermediate damage regardless of how many strikes it gets on a person. It is also capable of flight and can serve as transportation though it is limited to only 2 passengers and can only move at 10 m/s when doing so. Following the ammo rules, Victoria can summon additional golems based on her control. If she only summons 1 golem, it gains an additional +5 to durability, sensory, and power. This technique can only summon a total of 4 golems.

Slowly but surely, Griswold made his way back to the location of the other two mages, finding out before having to ask that they too had been attacked by these strange disembodied beings, as was apparent by the black goo on the ground. A herbalist he know at some point in time seemed convinced that this kind of stuff did not come from this reality, instead coming from the afterlife whenever a soul was pulled back into this world as an incorporeal monstrosity. They also believed that this gooey leftover, something they called “Ectoplasm”, could be of use in the creation of medicine and magical items. Because of the fact that Griswold had at some point fought a group of incredibly powerful elven wraiths he couldn’t defeat, but managed to put back to rest by returning the artifact that had been stolen from their crypt, he had managed to get himself a bit of experience when it came down to dealing with these otherworldly specters.
Looking at it now, the goo that remained did not seem like the kind of stuff one should be willing to ingest, nor did it seem to hold any magical properties now that the being it belonged to had been put out of commission permanently.
With the dead body of the missing magic knight hanging over his shoulders like a heavy sack of grain, Griswold plopped it down in the grass in a rather unceremonious fashion. Laying on his back, the dead eyes of the silver eagle stared blankly up into the sky, his tone of skin and lack of breathing doing plenty to prove that he was in fact no longer alive. Despite getting dropped on the floor after being exhumed from his makeshift grave and being carried all the way here, Griswold did in fact care about what had happened here, even if he wouldn’t exactly show it. By the end of all of this, they would have a culprit to blame for all of this, or nobody would be going home, it was really that simple. Besides, the silver eagle squad, as well as the Silva family would likely be breathing down their necks if they went away emptyhanded.
To him that wouldn’t matter as he gave exactly zero shits about nobility and their wants and needs, but the other two were nobles themselves. This more than likely meant that there was some kind of pride involved in all of this, as well as the potential for receiving a besmirched name for not doing a proper job here.
“I found him on the far side of the graveyard, buried in a shallow grave in what seemed like a rather half-assed job. There’s a deep puncture wound in his chest, as well as a large gaping gash in his neck, which rules out these shades as the culprit. If I didn’t know any better, it looks almost as though another person stabbed, killed and then hid the body so they could pin it on all of the supernatural activity here.”
Explaining his thoughts on the matter, as well as the findings that had given rise to said thoughts, the fact that these things were often not what they seemed made him weary. Weary to the fact that there might be some bladed creature or monster around here, or an actual person who had dealt the killing blow and hid the body. There was no denying that some of the members of the rogue community had been acting out quite a bit, and with what he had uncovered with regards to Echo and Mania, not to mention others that he hadn’t directly encountered, but were starting to become more of an issue as time went by. If one of them was behind this, they would be sniffed out all the same, though something about all of this didn’t seem to fit with the capabilities of any rogue he knew. But that was also because he didn’t know any that could bring back the dead on this kind of scale.
“That said, I doubt that this is the work of any rogue. Perhaps it was meant to look like another human had done this, or perhaps there is something out here that is clever enough to hide the bodies they leave in their wake, albeit poorly. As darkness sets in, I imagine we’ll have our answers soon enough.”
Looking to the horizon, it seemed that the sun that had already been low in the sky would more than likely not be around for a whole lot longer, meaning nightfall was only minutes away. And if these things were anything like the wraiths he had encountered in the ruins outside of Kiten, things would only get worse once the sun made its exit. For the time being however, he would have to wait and see what the evening would bring.
